[00:00:39] Speaker A: Hello, hello, hello and welcome to the 67th episode of the Crack Die podcast. I'm your host and GM, Sean, and I am back doing the intro. That's right, I know you all missed me. There's not much to say this week other than on March 8 at 01:00 p.m. is our next Absalom in order episode? Come on by. Take a watch, donate some bits, help some charities out, and help our players survive. That includes me. Also in the show notes below you'll see a link to our Patreon. Come on over, join our Patreon. We have two tiers, a $1 and a five dollar tier. At the $5 tier you can join our discord server and chat with us. You can also add either a critical hit or critical miss deck to really help or hinder our players. And that goes for both shows, both the twitch and the podcast your card gets added into lastly. And don't tell anyone, but we are coming up to the end of book two soon. So, like we did with the end of book one so long ago, we want your questions so we can answer them. Maybe you have questions about monsters. Maybe you have questions about why I can't pronounce names. Maybe you have a question about a character. Let us know. Please email [email protected] or if you're on our discord, just use the hashtag questions. Yes, we're very simple like that. Okay, I've yelled and rambled enough. Let's head over to the table now. Welcome to the 67th episode of the Crack Die podcast. [00:02:30] Speaker B: Two more to 69, dudes. [00:02:33] Speaker C: Nice. [00:02:34] Speaker A: And I finally figured out what is going to be nice about that episode. But you'll have to wait till that episode. [00:02:42] Speaker B: Are we going to have to have an onlyfans from there on in? [00:02:47] Speaker A: I think we should have an onlyfans anyway, but no, no, no. [00:02:52] Speaker B: So what sort of content would we have on our onlyfans? I must know. [00:02:58] Speaker C: Green weenie. [00:03:00] Speaker A: I was gonna make joke only fans and just have, like, the tagline, be like, nude models. And then have the little miniatures for like, my Warhammer figures and whatnot. Like prime them and slowly paint them. Oh, with sensual music in the background. [00:03:19] Speaker B: Super sexy. I'm in. Take my money, please. Sorry. I'm here. [00:03:27] Speaker A: Matt, you've been unusually quiet for this opening. What's going on? [00:03:31] Speaker D: Everybody else is talking. I want to talk over. People be talked over either way, so I'm here. [00:03:38] Speaker A: I thought you were having moral objections to our OnlyFans. [00:03:42] Speaker D: No, no, I'm just here in the corner. Don't mind me. [00:03:48] Speaker B: Sounds suspicious. [00:03:50] Speaker C: Sorry. I was thinking about how to sexually put on a 35 pound chainmail shirt. [00:03:59] Speaker E: I don't know if anybody wins for that. [00:04:01] Speaker A: Yeah. Now that we've lost all of our listeners, pay them back. Oh, also, I posted this to our wonderful patrons, but a couple episodes ago, we were talking about how awesome it was, and, Matt, you threw out a challenge to the first country to get us in the top ten. [00:04:21] Speaker D: Mm hmm. Did I? [00:04:22] Speaker A: Well, I don't remember that. The country has gotten us into the top ten. [00:04:27] Speaker D: What? [00:04:28] Speaker A: We were number seven in Italy. What? For gaming podcasts. [00:04:35] Speaker B: Well, bonjour Bell Italia. [00:04:41] Speaker A: Thank you, Italy. We peaked at number seven, and we've been there for a couple days now. [00:04:47] Speaker E: Awesome. Thank you, Italy. Thank you, all of our italian listeners. [00:04:50] Speaker D: Yes, thank you for listening to us rapidly consuming all of our content. Now, I'd like to have a. A brief moment with everybody but Italy. Italy. You can step out for a second. What are you guys doing? You're letting Italy beat you. You gotta get us better than that, right? Like, seven? [00:05:06] Speaker A: I mean, it's okay. [00:05:07] Speaker D: It's the top ten, but top five. You can do it. Just listen harder, more faster. I don't know. It's like that song with the robot head people. [00:05:18] Speaker A: Hey, Italy, you can come back in now. [00:05:20] Speaker D: You're welcome back. Come on. All right. And that's why Italy's the best. [00:05:25] Speaker B: Yep. Also, Italy, don't let anybody else dethrone you. Keep listening. [00:05:29] Speaker D: Yeah, listen harder. [00:05:34] Speaker A: Go back and, you know, grab a friend's phone and download all of our episodes onto that phone now. Yeah, that'll work. That'll help. When we last left, this combat in the pit was still going on, but things had started to look better for you. Only one, Chirika, has gotten up to the front and swung at twin Talon and missed miserably. We have three kermits, as Haya has called them, and Chirika throw a grappling hook up near seagull teeth and have started to climb it. We have four void worms left, and they're kind of hanging out around the two now nets, which are still in the water. One is still in Saraya's smoke bomb. Soraya is up about 10ft away from them, and the dragon pillar has been yanked out by a gravity well and is now floating in the water. [00:06:37] Speaker B: Noice. Good job, Rob. [00:06:39] Speaker A: Matt, I was very rude last episode, and you were going to swing at the chiricah that had made it up to you, but I decided to end the episode because I'm a jerk. So I'm gonna let you swing at the chirika now. [00:06:59] Speaker D: Oh, thank you. You're so gracious. [00:07:00] Speaker A: You're welcome. I know I am. [00:07:03] Speaker D: Right, so Twintal will act out with his dog slicer. 24. [00:07:09] Speaker A: 24 will critically hit this churica. [00:07:14] Speaker D: That's what you get. All right, there we go. This is a paizo card. It is a slashing weapon. Lip cut. The target must succeed at a DC five flat. Check to cast spells with a verbal component until healed. Whatever. Not that big of a deal. Nope. [00:07:31] Speaker A: But how much damage do you do? [00:07:33] Speaker D: Well, let's see. Two d six from the weapon, two d six from sneak attack, plus an additional four from my dexterity. So 30. [00:07:46] Speaker A: 30 points of damage will kill the churica. All right, that was your first action. Alright. [00:07:55] Speaker D: Feeling pretty good. That's how we do this. So looking at the map, scrolling around this giant map, it looks like there is nobody coming up that ramp at this point. Point. [00:08:05] Speaker A: Gee, I wonder why. Seagull teeth. [00:08:09] Speaker D: All right, so Twintal is looking to move over here to the grappling hook and he's gonna look down at the people on the grappling hook rope and then he's going to cut the rope. [00:08:20] Speaker A: Okay, so they fall 50ft. [00:08:23] Speaker D: 50Ft? Jeez. [00:08:24] Speaker A: Yep. So 50 divided by two is 25 points of damage. [00:08:32] Speaker D: I mean, if they're right at the top, sure. And then remember, if one person falls and then someone else falls on top of them, they take damage from themselves falling and then they take half the damage to the person who fell on top of them. [00:08:41] Speaker A: Well, I will tell you, even if they were 20ft up, they all die. [00:08:51] Speaker D: Oh, mooks. [00:08:52] Speaker A: Because they have been pulling off the ledge three, three times already, taking three sets of falling damage. They were trying to climb up the side, hoping to avoid taking more falling damage. And twin Talon just cuts the rope and they all die. So it appears as if you've dealt with all of the Churica boggards and boggards, leaving just the naonets and the void worms. [00:09:25] Speaker D: Um, we can just leave them, right? [00:09:28] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:09:29] Speaker D: I mean, they're not. As far as we know, they're just naturally occurring creatures. They don't seem to be part of the whole cinder claw cult. They're just attracted to certain things, right? [00:09:40] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, they are from another plane, but there was something that drew them here. And other than that, well, the. [00:09:48] Speaker D: The void worms were drawn to the pillar, weren't they? [00:09:51] Speaker A: Yep. [00:09:52] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:09:52] Speaker E: Is it possible to take a void worm as an animal? [00:09:57] Speaker D: They're not animals, so. I don't think so. [00:09:59] Speaker A: They're not. Yes. They are actually intelligent creatures. [00:10:03] Speaker B: Maybe you can ask if they want to come and hang out. I wanted the friend one. [00:10:13] Speaker A: Well, funny enough, there is a diplomacy skill called make an impression. [00:10:19] Speaker B: Do it. Do it. [00:10:22] Speaker D: 1 minute of conversation. [00:10:23] Speaker E: I'm gonna. [00:10:24] Speaker A: I'm gonna. Well, combat. Actually, let me just. Let me end the combat. Because if you guys are gonna leave everything else alone. Yeah, you see that? The Nao nets kind of slink back into the water and they submerge themselves. [00:10:40] Speaker D: Okay, wait. What do we know about now nets? I know that the void worms are like, attracted to shiny, right? Is that what I remember correctly? [00:10:47] Speaker A: So the void worms are engrossed with object permanence and they find something and they fixate on it. The thing they fixated on was the pillar. And now that the pillar is destroyed, they're kind of just drifting aimlessly, looking for something else to be infatuated with. The now nets. You've made two successful checks on them. You know that they are 12ft long and about 900 pounds. They can change shape. They are chaotic neutral. They're from the maelstrom, which is one of the planes. They're what are called proteans. [00:11:22] Speaker B: Protein shake. Got it. Sorry. [00:11:24] Speaker A: They have a ten intelligence and a. What is that? Plus three to wisdom. So 16. [00:11:30] Speaker D: Okay, so they're intelligent. [00:11:32] Speaker A: Yeah, they're fairly intelligent. That's what you know about. [00:11:35] Speaker D: But what are they doing here? It just seems like a weird group. Like, there's two of them. [00:11:40] Speaker A: They tend to travel in pairs. [00:11:42] Speaker D: Cool. [00:11:43] Speaker A: Why are they here? [00:11:44] Speaker D: Why are they here? Electively or like. [00:11:47] Speaker A: Well, you can try and go talk to one. [00:11:49] Speaker B: Let's do it. [00:11:50] Speaker D: Do we know what languages they speak? [00:11:52] Speaker A: You pass both of your knowledge checks on them, so I'm gonna tell you. It's abyssal, celestial, and protean. [00:11:58] Speaker D: Okay. [00:11:59] Speaker A: You also remember that all Proteans are prone to unpredictable fits and unexplained actions. But compared to most others, now, nets are much more bestial and always ready for a fight. Now, nets pride themselves on acting swiftly and striking before unpleasant distractions, like diplomacy can blunt a combat's beginning. [00:12:20] Speaker E: They seem like they might not like talking. [00:12:22] Speaker D: Right, but my thought is. So. Actually, I'll turn to Seagull teeth since he's been here a while. Hey, buddy. Um, did they tell you why you were digging in this spot? [00:12:34] Speaker C: So we didn't die. [00:12:36] Speaker D: Okay. I mean, I get it. [00:12:39] Speaker A: Um, seagull teeth. You were told that you were digging here because you had to excavate as much gold as possible. [00:12:47] Speaker C: They also wanted as much of the yellow shiny as possible. [00:12:51] Speaker D: Okay, just curious if the. Now. So if the void worms are drawn to like shiny objects. Again, there was a bunch of them. So I don't know if they travel in schools like fish or what, but if they're drawn to the dragon pillar and that's gone now they're just looking for something else. I wonder if the Nao nuts were drawn to something. Like, I'm curious if there's something under the water that we can't see. [00:13:13] Speaker C: The big aqua hairless rats. [00:13:18] Speaker D: Yeah, the things that look like ram, crocodile snakes. [00:13:22] Speaker C: Never heard of those. [00:13:25] Speaker A: You actually see them transform and they look like large eels now. [00:13:30] Speaker D: Cool. Nothing creepy about that. [00:13:33] Speaker B: Do we have to go say hello to those things? They look terrifying. [00:13:37] Speaker D: I don't know, I'm just wondering. [00:13:39] Speaker C: They eat you if you get close to them. [00:13:41] Speaker B: Yes, I saw that. [00:13:44] Speaker C: I lost six cousins that way. [00:13:46] Speaker B: Oh. Oh, no. There are four of you here? [00:13:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I pushed them in the. And. Yeah, it didn't end well. [00:13:57] Speaker D: Oh, man. [00:13:59] Speaker B: Wait, you had six cousins here or just in general? I'm so confused. [00:14:03] Speaker E: Well, while all the debate is going on across the map, Surrey is gonna like, go down and approach the one that's near where the pillar was. [00:14:12] Speaker A: Okay. [00:14:13] Speaker E: And I'm gonna try to make an impression. [00:14:15] Speaker A: Yee. All right. [00:14:18] Speaker E: Did we ever discover if they, like, speak if they're like intelligent, like that way or. [00:14:23] Speaker A: No, they are less intelligent. Much less intelligent, but still intelligent. [00:14:29] Speaker E: Okay, well, I rolled a 14 to try and make an impression. So I'm not super. Not super. [00:14:35] Speaker A: You actually pass? [00:14:37] Speaker E: Oh my God. [00:14:38] Speaker A: Yes. [00:14:39] Speaker E: Yes. [00:14:43] Speaker A: So right now they are indifferent. Succeeded. They are friendly. I'll say. The one that is closest to the hole where the dragon pillar is. [00:14:53] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:14:54] Speaker A: You walk up to. And what do you say to them? [00:14:58] Speaker E: I am going to try and like, catch its attention first. I imagine it's listlessly, like, bobbing around the hole. [00:15:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:15:08] Speaker E: I'm just going to wave just like hello. [00:15:11] Speaker A: It kind of looks up at you and notices the shiny bottles around your belt. Yeah. And it starts to flit towards you. [00:15:24] Speaker B: Uh, Saraya, please be careful. Oh, goodness. [00:15:28] Speaker E: I don't think it's going to. [00:15:30] Speaker C: Why is she talking to the ethereal flying rat? [00:15:33] Speaker D: It's unclear. [00:15:34] Speaker A: It now. Just kind of like, it's like as you walk away, it's following you, but it won't like fight or anything. It's. This is a cosmetic pet that you have picked up. [00:15:47] Speaker D: Yeah, that's totally fine. [00:15:49] Speaker E: I enjoy my cosmetic pet. [00:15:51] Speaker A: And actually, while you're down there, what. [00:15:55] Speaker B: Does Jasper think about that? [00:15:57] Speaker E: I think Jasper is excited to have someone else to, like, share the shinies with. Oh, Jasper, as I'm sure you've noticed, also loves collecting Chinese. [00:16:09] Speaker A: So as you are down there, something on the bank of the river here, or of the. As you look it, you realize it's a sluice pond. Yeah. You notice that in the yellowy water? Notice something shiny. [00:16:30] Speaker E: It does seem that there's something. It looks like there's something down here that might be interesting. Uh, I'm not entirely sure I'd like to approach alone, considering the mass of eel things. But if you would like to join me down here. [00:16:44] Speaker B: Certainly. [00:16:45] Speaker E: And she'll, like, point out the spot. [00:16:47] Speaker B: Brianna will slowly make her way over. [00:16:49] Speaker C: We don't mine over there. Lot of death. [00:16:53] Speaker B: Well, might as well, you know, make sure that we're getting all the information we need from. From here. And Brianna will slowly make her way over that way. [00:17:05] Speaker C: What do you need to know? A big hole in the ground with deadly water. [00:17:08] Speaker D: It is a lot of good information. [00:17:10] Speaker E: It is a very useful information. That's true. There's more shinies. I have two friends that like shinies now, possibly three. Do you like shiny things? [00:17:20] Speaker D: Tonight? You should have Jasper check it out. [00:17:24] Speaker E: I would rather not sacrifice Jasper. It takes a very long time and a lot of energy to make a new one. [00:17:30] Speaker B: All right, so Brianna will slowly wade over there. [00:17:35] Speaker E: Yes. Well, well, yes. Why don't you stay back, just in case. It's also laced with arsenic, like all the gold was. [00:17:44] Speaker B: Okay, probably. [00:17:46] Speaker E: Yes. So. But if you just want to stay on the ready in case one of those. No, that's the size that wants to get close. Spidey. [00:17:55] Speaker B: Understandable. [00:17:55] Speaker A: You discover three more gold nuggets. [00:18:01] Speaker E: Tainted nuggets, of course. [00:18:02] Speaker A: Tainted nuggets. [00:18:03] Speaker D: Tainted nugs. [00:18:07] Speaker E: Okay, well, I'll carry them back to intelligent. You have the bag with them, right? [00:18:11] Speaker D: Correct. [00:18:12] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:18:13] Speaker E: If you'd like to hand that to me, since, um, I have a bit of an inoculation against these. These kinds of things. I'll just add it to the pile. [00:18:21] Speaker A: Yep. And while you're picking up those tainted nugs, you see that there is a corpse floating in the water. [00:18:30] Speaker E: Oh, my. What is it? A corpse of? [00:18:33] Speaker A: I assume a goblin. [00:18:34] Speaker B: Oh, no. [00:18:36] Speaker D: Somebody you know, buddy? [00:18:37] Speaker C: Um, could be my cousin. [00:18:41] Speaker B: Okay, how we do? [00:18:43] Speaker E: Is it, like, close enough that I can, like, pull it to shore? [00:18:45] Speaker A: No, it is way out in the middle. Okay, well, so it's about 40ft away from you guys. [00:18:55] Speaker E: Well, if we want to go fetch it, I'm sure we'll have to contend with naonets again. [00:19:00] Speaker B: Hold on, though. Do you remember when we had those large toad creatures attack us in the. What was it? In the. [00:19:11] Speaker E: The ones that used. Yes, the plate mail is bait on the backs of the. [00:19:15] Speaker B: Correct. Yes, that's what it was. Turtle, not frogs. Sorry. Too many toads and frogs, I think, kind of tainted my memory. What if I. What if it's one of those. I'm still very cautious about suddenly running. [00:19:34] Speaker E: In and, yes, I am concerned it might be for the nanos. [00:19:37] Speaker D: So, as they're talking about it, Twintalon is going to go collect the 50 foot of rope that's now laying at the bottom of this cliff. [00:19:44] Speaker A: Okay. [00:19:44] Speaker D: And he's going to reattach the grappling hook to it. [00:19:47] Speaker A: Okay. I love this blood. [00:19:49] Speaker D: And then he's going to kind of walk toward this ramp. It's like a wooden ramp here that they're using. And he's going to start just, like, throwing it out there, trying to fish this goblin into the back to shore. [00:20:01] Speaker A: So as you do that, you notice that the water is. Also has that arsenic yellow tint to it. So, you know, probably going in the water would be bad. You. After a couple of minutes of trying, you do manage to get the body hooked, and you start to pull it towards you. [00:20:26] Speaker D: Okay. [00:20:27] Speaker A: As you pull it towards you, one of the nao nets appears as a giant eel and bites and starts to pull at the other side of the body like it's a game of tug of war that it is obviously winning. And as it pulls everything from the collarbones down, get yanked off. And as you pull it towards you, you just see, like, the neck and head and then just viscera dripping down from where the now nets pulled off. [00:20:57] Speaker C: Um, as this is happening, I was just want to take a perception check to see if I can recognize it. [00:21:02] Speaker A: Uh, yeah, it's the cousin you tripped and pushed in there. [00:21:05] Speaker C: Oh, yes. Bottle swallow lazy bones. [00:21:12] Speaker E: What? [00:21:13] Speaker C: Bottle swallow lazy bones. Yeah, he swallowed a bottle, and then he just never did much, so we called him bottle swallow lazy bones. [00:21:22] Speaker D: I could get into this whole goblin nomenclature. [00:21:27] Speaker E: Fine. [00:21:27] Speaker B: I wonder what their names would be. [00:21:29] Speaker A: As you. As you look at the body around its neck, you see standard holy prayer beads. This strand of ordinary looking prayer beads glows with a soft light and becomes warm to the touch. The first time you cast a divine spell while holding it rip. When you do, the pair of beads become attuned to your deity, changing their form and iconography to permanently incorporate your deities religious symbol and iconography. [00:22:01] Speaker D: Twintellon will take pick up the prayer beads, which the universe has told him are magic. He will wipe off any viscera and poisonous water, and then he will walk over and hand them to Brianna. I think of the assembled group here, you're the only one that casts divine magic, so I think they probably would be best used by you. [00:22:22] Speaker B: Thank you, my friend. I'll certainly take them. [00:22:25] Speaker D: Hey, guys, this combat's over. [00:22:27] Speaker A: Yeah, this combat's over. Haya, I have put the prayer beads on your character sheet. You guys have finished this area finally. [00:22:36] Speaker E: It's only taken episodes. [00:22:39] Speaker D: Well, there is one area we haven't actually explored. [00:22:43] Speaker B: What's that? [00:22:43] Speaker D: Oh, so remember how the spiders had that big mound of stuff to the northeast? [00:22:49] Speaker B: But there are friends. [00:22:52] Speaker A: Oh, yes. [00:22:53] Speaker D: I was wondering if Rennuli could maybe talk to them and get them to, like, not murder us. [00:22:58] Speaker B: I'm sorry, who is her name? [00:22:59] Speaker D: Renoolia? Renali. [00:23:00] Speaker B: Renali. [00:23:01] Speaker D: We know we messed it up. [00:23:01] Speaker A: Renali. [00:23:02] Speaker D: Renali. Get into my brain. Renali. Fernali could ask them to, you know, let us poke through or ask if there's anything interesting in there. I don't know. I think we've. We've physically explored everything else. I don't feel like dredging the bottom of this area with the now nets. I think I'm gonna get yanked under like I'm fishing for sharks or yanked. [00:23:22] Speaker A: Under with poison water, so. [00:23:25] Speaker D: Mm hmm. Buddy. I think that those mounds, the only thing we haven't even gotten close to. And I feel like they're probably a refuse since they took the. They immediately went and grabbed the rock body and started eating it. And it looks like it's the yellow mud. So it's probably where they're taking the mud out of the pit and putting it. Why are there spiders here? I don't know. But anyway, if they're bringing dead bodies there, there might be some. Something interesting in it. Maybe not. [00:23:51] Speaker A: Rinali heads over and starts to chat with the spiders. You hear them chittering in, spider ease. [00:23:58] Speaker D: Spider ease. A real language that Sean didn't just make up. [00:24:04] Speaker E: Honestly, though, they might be there as body disposal. [00:24:07] Speaker D: Corpses have stuff. [00:24:08] Speaker A: Corpses do have stuff, actually. The language she speaks is called Andy. A N a D I. Anandi. But that is the language of the spiders. So that is what she is actually speaking. And the spiders kind of say, sure. You see them all skitter off into the trees. [00:24:31] Speaker B: Wait, so they're okay with us looting their shit. Like what? [00:24:35] Speaker D: We're not gonna take any of the bodies. I don't think they care about, like, trinkets with the bodies on the pad. [00:24:41] Speaker B: But what if they also like shinies? We're just assuming here. [00:24:46] Speaker D: We'll find out when they murder us. I'm sorry. We'll find out when I collect their sweet, sweet xp. [00:24:55] Speaker A: As you start to kind of dig through the mud a little bit, you see a desiccated body of what looks like a human. There is little left of the actual human body, but you do discover a mud covered suit of full plate armor. [00:25:15] Speaker D: Not that I can wear it, but does it have, like, boob molds? Is it a ladies full plate armor? I'm assuming it's fantasy, right? [00:25:24] Speaker B: Right. [00:25:25] Speaker A: Yeah. You do notice that there are some. There is a rune etched into it. Oh, all right, so it is definitely good armor. Takes you about ten minutes to find all the pieces of it. [00:25:39] Speaker D: All right. [00:25:40] Speaker A: And I have added that to the group loot sheet as well. So sweet. Other than that, now, you have thoroughly explored this entire area. You have, as you. And I'm assuming as you were looking through the bodies of all of the boggards and Shurika that were down there, you do see that they all have the cinder claw emblem on them somewhere? On their armor, on their clothes, something. [00:26:08] Speaker D: All right. Anything interesting on their persons? [00:26:10] Speaker A: Not really. A couple tridents. Couple rocks. Rocks? Rocks. [00:26:19] Speaker B: Dang it. [00:26:20] Speaker A: Um, yeah, nothing. Really? Yeah, nothing super good. [00:26:27] Speaker D: I'll look at the tridents and think of temid, but I don't need to. I don't think we need to start a, you know, weapon and armor emporium out here, so. [00:26:37] Speaker E: I mean, think of a walking weapon and armor emporium and think of pond Watcher. [00:26:43] Speaker D: All right, so for body looting, I say we take our new goblin friend and our dinosaur and get the heck out of here. [00:26:53] Speaker C: I think we should take all of the miners with us on the bedside. [00:27:00] Speaker B: Oh, I don't think all of them are. [00:27:01] Speaker D: It's been many weeks. [00:27:02] Speaker C: Maybe get them some healing. [00:27:04] Speaker A: You notice that all of them also have the emblem of the cinder claws? [00:27:10] Speaker C: Wait, you're saying they're not miners? [00:27:13] Speaker A: No, they were in the. In the whole mining. They're just also members of the cinder claws. [00:27:18] Speaker C: I don't know. I feel bad leaving them here to die. [00:27:21] Speaker E: How about this? We can administer some anti antivenom and anti an antidote and then just leave them here to do what they will. But then we run the risk of them kidnapping more people to continue their mining. [00:27:36] Speaker A: Operation. [00:27:36] Speaker C: But these guys were in the pit. [00:27:38] Speaker D: Yeah, but they're members of the cult. [00:27:41] Speaker C: Well, maybe they joined not to get unlive. [00:27:47] Speaker D: I'm sure they joined not with the. [00:27:49] Speaker B: Thought of being murdered, but they joined willingly. And though Sarenry does preach redemption, I'm. I'm not sure this is the place to sit and convert. I mean, I'm with Soraya, hoping that perhaps we can help them come too. And who knows? Maybe they will see the error of their ways. But it is certainly a risk. [00:28:18] Speaker C: Well, as long as we're not going to leave them just to die slowly. I just does not feel very goblinly. [00:28:25] Speaker D: We could kill them. [00:28:27] Speaker C: That feels closer to goblinly, but not in the way I like. [00:28:31] Speaker B: Okay, I'm going to look away if you're doing something like that. [00:28:36] Speaker E: Well, if there are. If there are five of them there, I can whip up five antidotes and I can leave them. [00:28:43] Speaker D: But. [00:28:44] Speaker C: Okay, guys. [00:28:45] Speaker D: I mean, who knows? Maybe they'll form like, a new cult of, like, the tinder claws, and it's all about dating and swiping, but, uh. [00:28:54] Speaker C: All right, you guys heard him. That's what you're gonna do, right? Or I'm gonna come back and show you why they call me dark hole. [00:29:05] Speaker A: Are you gonna leave them on the outside beds or move them inside? [00:29:08] Speaker C: I'll move them inside. I will attempt to move them inside. [00:29:12] Speaker B: I mean, I. Brianna will help him. [00:29:13] Speaker C: Three foot nothing. [00:29:15] Speaker B: Branagh is also small. [00:29:18] Speaker A: Yeah, they're also all small creatures, though. [00:29:20] Speaker D: I'm sure we can help him move the. [00:29:22] Speaker E: Yeah, that's not gonna take people inside. You can leave them like a little note, like you've been given a second chance. Use it wisely. Yeah. [00:29:31] Speaker C: Or expect revenge from knife sword, dark, old, neglected, sneaky, secretive, and backup singers. [00:29:42] Speaker A: What backup singers? [00:29:47] Speaker D: Oh, the hair. [00:29:48] Speaker C: Don't want to get copyright strike. [00:29:51] Speaker A: You also remember you cast stabilize on all of them as well. [00:29:56] Speaker C: Yes. [00:29:56] Speaker E: Yeah, but I don't think that has much against poison, does it? [00:29:59] Speaker A: No. After about 20 minutes of crafting and whatnot, Saraya, you managed to whip up some anti poison. [00:30:10] Speaker E: Didn't you say I have the formula for it? So I could just do the. Like, I could just use my reagents for it. [00:30:16] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. [00:30:18] Speaker E: Yeah. So that's pretty instant. [00:30:20] Speaker C: Then I'm gonna scroll on the wall. Be good. [00:30:24] Speaker A: Okay with that, the day is mostly over. [00:30:31] Speaker D: Hmm. [00:30:31] Speaker A: It's been about 24 hours since Tamid and Pond Watcher have left. [00:30:38] Speaker B: Wow. [00:30:39] Speaker A: What do you guys want to do? There is Hezel's office, which has a bed that you can rest in. There's three more beds down in the bunks where the. Where you just put the Chiracahs and the boggarts. There's also the outside cots. [00:30:57] Speaker D: And I feel like this place is just full of arsenic. [00:31:00] Speaker B: Yeah, it's not a good place to. [00:31:02] Speaker E: It might be the best place for y'all to hang around. I think Sarah would be fine for a little bit, but eventually. [00:31:09] Speaker D: I mean, feel free to drink all the water if you want, but I think we should leave. [00:31:12] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm fine leaving. [00:31:13] Speaker D: Gotten Rinali out. We got Seagull teeth here who is now a willing member of our band whether he likes it or not. And, yeah, we should just get out of here. [00:31:22] Speaker E: Did you say he's a willing member of our band whether he likes it or not? [00:31:26] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, that's what I said. [00:31:28] Speaker C: All right, while this conversation's going on, I'm gonna walk to the other place and just put property of seagull teeth. But I don't know how to spell property. [00:31:36] Speaker A: Okay. Pooper t is written all over. So for the first time in months, we're going to a different map. What? [00:31:46] Speaker D: Goodness. [00:31:46] Speaker E: Oh, my God. [00:31:48] Speaker D: Hey, it's the hex map. [00:31:50] Speaker A: It is the hex map. [00:31:52] Speaker D: The hexploration map. [00:31:54] Speaker A: Now, remember, it takes you one day to move to a different hex. Okay, you know where you need to go now you see everything that exists because Hezzle gave you a map of every. Well, crudely draw drew on your map where everything is. [00:32:12] Speaker D: Okay. [00:32:13] Speaker E: Okay. What is this? Like? So there's the, there's the pillar that is slightly southwest of us. And there's the thing directly south of that. What is that little hut thing? [00:32:24] Speaker D: It's probably the fortress that that dude was talking about that he was gonna blow up. Well, that we were gonna blow up. But he. The guy at the elephantitis camp said that there was a fortress that the, the center claws had in the area somewhere to the east, which turns out it was like two, three hexes to the east. [00:32:46] Speaker A: That's like 75 miles because each hex is about 25 miles of exploring. [00:32:51] Speaker D: Yeah, that's on the river. He could have just been like, follow the river. But he was like, somewhere. And he waved generically in that direction was like, stuff. And he got on his elephant roadway. So I think that's probably what it is. There's also dragon pillars around. It looks like. [00:33:06] Speaker E: Yeah, I mean, we can, we can go directly southeast for now and take care of the pillar that's like, literally right there. If we want. [00:33:14] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, I would go there. I would go one southeast, then two southwest, then two southeast, then one south, then probably just circle around the fortress making sure there's nothing on the outside of it that's gonna come in while we're in, so make sure there's no backup that we're not aware of, and then. And then take out the fortress. But that would be looking at what we know, what I would recommend, but. [00:33:37] Speaker E: Yeah, now, that sounds solid to me. [00:33:39] Speaker B: That sounds good. [00:33:41] Speaker A: Right. So you are heading to the southeast, you said, correct? Yes. [00:33:49] Speaker E: The adjacent hex that has the dragon pillar in it. [00:33:51] Speaker A: And are you sending Renali in a different direction? [00:33:54] Speaker D: Um. We know she was scouting for us, right? [00:33:56] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [00:33:58] Speaker D: I don't know. Now that the map's open, I don't know if it's worse or better. [00:34:02] Speaker B: Well, do we want her to, like, go and make camp somewhere so we don't have to do it later on sort of thing? [00:34:09] Speaker D: That's true. One of the things that she could do was make the camp for us, right? [00:34:13] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. [00:34:13] Speaker D: She auto succeeds. [00:34:14] Speaker A: Yep. She's gonna stay with you and just build it in the back area from where you are. [00:34:19] Speaker D: Okay. That's a good call. I think that's. [00:34:22] Speaker E: I think that's a good. [00:34:23] Speaker D: Yeah, a good thing for her to do now that we don't have to. [00:34:26] Speaker B: Have her exploring, since we don't have timet to do it. Well, for us. [00:34:30] Speaker D: Yeah. So twin channel will try to explain a topography to seagull teeth, I'm sure, and it probably goes great. [00:34:38] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [00:34:38] Speaker A: So as you approach here, it is dark because it is night. [00:34:43] Speaker D: Oh. Why did we get here so late? [00:34:46] Speaker A: Because you guys didn't rest. [00:34:48] Speaker D: Yes, we did. [00:34:50] Speaker A: Oh. You camped, and then you moved here. Got it. Okay. [00:34:53] Speaker D: Well, then, also, can we say that people with healing proficiency maybe have touched up some healing people overnight? [00:35:02] Speaker B: Yep, totally. What happened? [00:35:05] Speaker D: Okay, great. As long as we're dead. [00:35:07] Speaker E: Yep. That's all that matters. [00:35:08] Speaker C: So, wait. Did we rest it? [00:35:11] Speaker A: Yes. [00:35:11] Speaker D: Yeah, we're gonna rest. We're. The plan was to rest for the night and then head here the next day. [00:35:16] Speaker A: All right? [00:35:17] Speaker D: Not to just run here. [00:35:18] Speaker A: You guys trek here through the course. You've entered a swampy area. The terrain in this area gives way to thick, cloying mud and swampy ground. Shallow puddles lie scattered across the oversaturated earth, the water rising up to fill footprints and other indications left in the soil. Droplets slide from leaf to leaf before falling into the puddles, causing the pools to froth and boil. Soft bells sound intermittently between the patter of rain. This soaked jungle grove has been transformed into pseudo marshland by the power of the rain. Swaying bells have been strung randomly across the trees. Okay, so just so you know, all know, Denver is currently with Nollie Renali. [00:36:16] Speaker D: Perfect. [00:36:18] Speaker A: Keeping her safe. All right, so we're in exploration mode. So let's start with Christine. What is Saraya doing in exploration? [00:36:31] Speaker E: Though I think much as she usually does, she is investigating bringing for any interesting, useful items with properties that would be fun for alchemy. [00:36:43] Speaker A: Okay. Hiya. What is Brianna? [00:36:47] Speaker B: It's only been 24 hours since their friends left and there's still danger she feels in literally every corner. So she will be as observant as she possibly can with her shield raised. [00:37:03] Speaker D: All right, Matt, twintallon, as a shock to everyone, will be avoiding notice. [00:37:09] Speaker A: Okay. Oh, I'm. And Rob, what is knife sword doing? [00:37:15] Speaker C: Admiring the beautiful muk and deciding whether he wants to go for a swim. [00:37:21] Speaker A: Okay, so as you are approaching twin Talon. [00:37:29] Speaker D: Uh huh. [00:37:30] Speaker A: As you approach, you hear some of those bells start to shake a little bit more. [00:37:36] Speaker D: Okay. [00:37:37] Speaker A: And I'm just gonna move you on the map real quick. [00:37:40] Speaker D: Oh shit. There's a dragonflower right there. [00:37:43] Speaker A: Yep. [00:37:44] Speaker D: The tree was blocking it from me. [00:37:46] Speaker A: You have managed to move stealthily enough that it has not detected you yet. Okay, knife sword. This mud looks so inviting. It doesn't look like it's tainted with arsenic. Like the mud. You've been in and around for a long time. You probably want to take a dip. [00:38:07] Speaker D: Ah. [00:38:08] Speaker C: Mucklitude rating nine. I think I will indulge. [00:38:15] Speaker A: Hi. Brianna is walking with her shield up and I'm gonna say you're right near twin Talon. [00:38:23] Speaker B: Yeah, makes sense she wouldn't want him to go by himself. [00:38:28] Speaker A: I'm gonna put you. You're behind him, but so you don't bother mess with his sneaking. [00:38:33] Speaker B: Yep, yep. [00:38:34] Speaker A: You definitely are aware of what's going on. And Soraya, unfortunately, there's just mud everywhere. [00:38:43] Speaker E: Nothing. Except find some arsenic at it. [00:38:46] Speaker A: No, no. [00:38:48] Speaker B: If only, man. [00:38:49] Speaker D: So before we do this, since we had a nice to rest. Hi. Is the plus one full plate better than what you have or do you already have plus one full plate? [00:38:58] Speaker B: I'm not sure. I think I just have regular full plate, so it probably is better. [00:39:07] Speaker A: Yeah, it looks like you. You have regular full plate on. [00:39:10] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:39:10] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:39:11] Speaker D: You're our highest ac character, but we should give you some more ac. [00:39:14] Speaker B: Sounds fucking fantastic. Let's do it. [00:39:17] Speaker D: Make them have to roll 30 fives to hit you come on. [00:39:20] Speaker B: Oh, my. Yes, please. [00:39:23] Speaker A: So in the morning, we make waffles. [00:39:28] Speaker B: Peach to it. [00:39:31] Speaker A: You trade out your. You trade out your regular half plate for plus one full plate. [00:39:41] Speaker B: I thought I was also wearing full plate. [00:39:43] Speaker A: Oh, yes, you were. Sorry. Sorry. [00:39:45] Speaker B: Just to make sure I didn't fork something. [00:39:48] Speaker A: Nope. [00:39:49] Speaker E: Well, yeah. Could you just have moved the rune while we were resting? [00:39:53] Speaker B: If it's etched, I don't. I don't remember how these things work. [00:39:58] Speaker D: So the DC of the crafting check to transfer a rune is determined by the item level room being transferred, and the price of the transfer is 10% of the runes price, unless transferring from your runestone, which is free if you're swapping, is the higher level. Blah, blah, blah, blah blah blah blah. It takes one day to transfer a rune or swap a pair of runes. [00:40:16] Speaker B: So let's just have me shimmy out of one armor and shimmy into the other one. [00:40:20] Speaker D: Yeah. Easy peas. [00:40:24] Speaker B: Lemon squeeze. [00:40:26] Speaker A: AC is 28. Without the shield. [00:40:29] Speaker D: Yep. With the shield, it's 30. [00:40:32] Speaker A: Yeah, it's crazy. You're gonna be so hard to hit. [00:40:38] Speaker B: Oh, no, that's so terrible. [00:40:40] Speaker D: And her ac goes up one every level, at least. [00:40:49] Speaker A: So with that, I'm just gonna have everyone roll initiative. [00:41:01] Speaker B: Oh, fuck. All right, well, it's fine. [00:41:10] Speaker C: I think I got a crack. [00:41:11] Speaker A: Die. [00:41:11] Speaker C: Can I roll again? [00:41:12] Speaker B: I roll weight. [00:41:16] Speaker A: Oh. [00:41:17] Speaker D: I also rolled very poorly. [00:41:19] Speaker A: It's okay. You don't know how good or bad things are gonna be. [00:41:26] Speaker D: An Errol to three. [00:41:28] Speaker A: Oh, that's better, too. [00:41:30] Speaker D: So, yeah, so it gives me an 18. [00:41:32] Speaker A: Saraya, what did you roll? [00:41:34] Speaker E: Oh. [00:41:39] Speaker A: So before this combat really kicks off, I do want to say this. I read or reread the game master section of the core rulebook. [00:41:55] Speaker D: That's good. [00:41:55] Speaker B: That's important. [00:41:56] Speaker A: And it says you should get one hero point at the start of every game. So I'm gonna give you all hero points. You should all have a hero. [00:42:07] Speaker B: That means we're in trouble. [00:42:09] Speaker A: No, I'm just trying to follow the rules better. [00:42:12] Speaker B: We're in trouble. [00:42:14] Speaker D: Does that mean that we have one total or one plus whatever we had before? [00:42:18] Speaker A: One total. [00:42:20] Speaker E: Okay, so they don't carry over. [00:42:23] Speaker A: They do not carry over anymore. That means you are incentivized to use them as often as you possibly can. [00:42:34] Speaker B: What is this, like a phone company thing? [00:42:36] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. If you spend your minutes, you can get more minutes for free. Remember when you had minutes on your phone, guys? [00:42:44] Speaker D: Yep. [00:42:44] Speaker A: Go ahead. Yep. Remember when text messages were $0.10 each? [00:42:50] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah, I remember when you got paid get a paid per text message. Yeah, or you could get unlimited, which seemed expensive until you, depending on how many you sent. Maybe not. [00:42:59] Speaker E: Yeah, until you did the math on sending individual disassembly. [00:43:03] Speaker A: So, twin Talon, just so you know, I've rolled some secret checks for you. [00:43:11] Speaker D: For me? [00:43:12] Speaker A: For you, yes. [00:43:14] Speaker D: Oh, we shouldn't have. [00:43:15] Speaker A: Oh, but I did. And we're about to see how well you do on those, those roll those checks. Okay, so from your west, twin Talon, does a 28 hit you? Yeah, an arrow flies out and hits you. [00:43:39] Speaker D: Oh, interesting. [00:43:42] Speaker A: And it hits you for four points of damage. [00:43:45] Speaker D: Well, hold on a moment. Uh, oh, so there's this item called the bracers of missile deflection. [00:43:52] Speaker A: Oh, those are convenient. [00:43:57] Speaker D: Well, the requirement is I'm aware of the attack and not flat footed. So I guess the question is, did I make whatever perception checked and noticed that this person was there? [00:44:04] Speaker A: You did not. [00:44:05] Speaker D: Okay then, never mind. [00:44:07] Speaker A: Okay, so you take four. I'm gonna assign you four points of damage. [00:44:14] Speaker D: Oh, thanks. [00:44:15] Speaker A: You're welcome. And they are no longer hidden. Oh, they're right. Let me move them. [00:44:25] Speaker D: There's only four and a half squares to my west. There they are. [00:44:29] Speaker A: Yeah. All right, so they snuck around and shot you with an arrow. Then to try and sneaky. Sneak, sneak. Ooh, twin Talon does see this one as he starts to sneak around. And then it is going to here and attack you with its jaws. [00:45:01] Speaker D: What, what is this, 33? Yeah, that hits. [00:45:08] Speaker A: For 16 points of damage, I'm sorry to say. [00:45:13] Speaker D: Liberate please. Um, you can't liberate just yet until my turn. Correct. You get your, you get your actions on your turn and then you'll have your reaction for the next time. Unfortunately, I wish you could have used it. [00:45:24] Speaker B: Sorry. [00:45:26] Speaker D: Move. [00:45:27] Speaker A: Here. And he was not stealthing. Then he's going to shoot at seagull teeth. [00:45:35] Speaker D: What, they don't like your mud? [00:45:37] Speaker A: Connoisseur 22 hit your ac. [00:45:44] Speaker C: Yes. [00:45:45] Speaker A: Okay. And you are going to take eight points of damage. Twin talent. [00:45:58] Speaker D: Twin Talon is going to hold his action. Okay, I'm going to delay, I believe is the correct turn. [00:46:06] Speaker A: So you're going to adjust where you go in initiative. [00:46:11] Speaker D: Okay, seems like they all went first. [00:46:16] Speaker A: Let's see how well this one sneaks. [00:46:19] Speaker D: I think as a rogue you need to go first and be able to see things. Or you need to go after your party goes to get yourself in position. [00:46:26] Speaker B: That's fair. [00:46:27] Speaker A: Well, you do manage to see this one attempting to sneak around. [00:46:32] Speaker D: Sean, you still haven't described these things. [00:46:34] Speaker A: What are they I know, I know. I'm so. These are very weird creatures. I think you fought them before. [00:46:47] Speaker D: I mean, they look like they've got a skull on their head. Are they wearing a hat and a leaf dress? [00:46:54] Speaker A: Kind of. You see that? These crocodile snouted creatures are slender and look like. They are slender and wiry humanoids with heads resembling a crocodile's rushed colored skin and blood red eyes. They are small creatures. Okay, that's the best I can do for description of them. [00:47:22] Speaker D: So, wiry body, crocodile face. [00:47:24] Speaker A: Yep. [00:47:25] Speaker D: Cool. Why is everything in this jungle horrible? [00:47:30] Speaker E: I mean, good question. [00:47:31] Speaker A: Welcome to the Mwangi expanse. Another one runs towards Rienna and attempts to attack it with its jaws. [00:47:46] Speaker B: Okay, good luck. [00:47:48] Speaker A: I believe in you, 21. And you have your shield raised. [00:47:52] Speaker D: Yep. [00:47:53] Speaker B: Correct. [00:47:55] Speaker A: It's not enough, is it? That's not enough without the shield race. [00:47:58] Speaker B: You did say 21, correct? [00:48:01] Speaker A: I did. [00:48:02] Speaker B: Okay. It was almost a. A failure. Yeah, a critical failure. I mean, I'll allow it. [00:48:11] Speaker D: It's very kind of you. [00:48:12] Speaker B: You're welcome. I tend to be like, so that. [00:48:14] Speaker D: Guy'S Turner or someone else going now. [00:48:16] Speaker A: It's someone else's going now. [00:48:18] Speaker D: Well, I'm gonna go after that guy runs up. [00:48:19] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:48:21] Speaker D: All right, so now that this guy is adjacent to me and Brianna, which was a very poor decision on his part, twin Talon will lash out and attack him. [00:48:31] Speaker B: Get him, honey. [00:48:33] Speaker A: All right. [00:48:36] Speaker D: That is a 34 to hit. Oof. And they are flat footed. [00:48:40] Speaker A: That will crit. [00:48:45] Speaker D: So this one is slashing. Weapon strike, crit effect. Deal. Normal damage to one of the targets weapons. Mmm, nah. So I'll save the regular crit effect for my sword, which is to make them flat footed. So when Brianna goes, it'll also be flat footed to her if she wants to fight it or if it's alive, but it'll still do double damage. [00:49:10] Speaker A: All right, how much damage do you do? [00:49:14] Speaker D: 42 in a row just at once. Is it still alive? [00:49:23] Speaker A: It is barely alive, but it is still alive. [00:49:29] Speaker D: All right, then I will take a second attack on it. [00:49:34] Speaker A: Okay. [00:49:35] Speaker D: Again, still flat footed. [00:49:39] Speaker A: 15 flat will miss. [00:49:43] Speaker D: Natural three. Yeah, let's just finish this off. I'm gonna use a hero point to reroll that. [00:49:51] Speaker A: Okay, use that one hero point you have. [00:49:54] Speaker D: I'm sure I won't need it for anything else. [00:49:57] Speaker A: Why would you? [00:49:59] Speaker D: 18. [00:50:01] Speaker A: An 18 on a flat footed opponent will miss. Cool. [00:50:09] Speaker E: Ouch. [00:50:11] Speaker D: So herald a three and then a six is my upgraded. Roll to that. So then twin Talon will take his third action to step, and he's gonna step in between these two, like, through them. He's not flanked by them yet. Nothing matter. Yeah, basically, he's now on the opposite side of the creature from Brianna, which will set her up to be flanking it once her turn starts. [00:50:43] Speaker A: Ah. All right. [00:50:46] Speaker D: Cause I think if my second attack didn't hit twice, my third attack will definitely crit fail. [00:50:51] Speaker A: So we have another one that manages to sneak to here. Matt, you are unaware of this creature, okay? It shoots at you with a bow. 19. [00:51:09] Speaker D: You're not close. [00:51:10] Speaker A: Okay, critically not close. Or. [00:51:13] Speaker D: No, no, you're only six away from my actual ac. [00:51:17] Speaker A: Ah, got it. 25. [00:51:21] Speaker D: Now that I told you. My ac. Yeah, that's it. It's second attack garbage for four points of damage. Wait, hold on. But wait, wait. I was aware of the second attack, though, right? [00:51:36] Speaker A: Oh, you were? [00:51:37] Speaker D: Then I will use my bracers of missile deflection as a reaction. What they do is they give me a plus two bonus to the triggering attack, which would make it a miss. [00:51:47] Speaker A: Hmm. I don't like that. I don't like that at all. Clang. Knife. Sword. Dark hole. Seagull teeth. You are up. [00:52:01] Speaker C: Well, since I was just minding my own business and suddenly somebody threw something at me, I'm guessing I'm gonna react. [00:52:09] Speaker A: The only way it was a arrow. [00:52:11] Speaker C: I'm gonna react the only way I know how. By releasing noxious vapors. [00:52:18] Speaker D: Seems legit. Are you farting at them so hard? [00:52:24] Speaker B: I see it. [00:52:25] Speaker A: It's a 1010 foot emanation, so it emanates from you. [00:52:30] Speaker C: But I'm also obscured. [00:52:32] Speaker A: You are also obscured. [00:52:35] Speaker C: Oh, boy, that's all I can do right now. So cofuddled. [00:52:41] Speaker A: I mean, fair. [00:52:42] Speaker C: It's like a squid releasing ink. [00:52:44] Speaker A: That's what. That's how goblins work. I don't know. You knew that. [00:52:49] Speaker D: I'm learning more and more each day. [00:52:50] Speaker A: Unfortunately, it is the dragon pillar's turn. [00:52:57] Speaker B: Oh, boy. [00:52:59] Speaker D: It's probably fine. There's lots of targets for it to hit. [00:53:02] Speaker E: So there's at least five of these things. The dragon pillar and possibly more. [00:53:09] Speaker D: What's its fees? [00:53:12] Speaker A: 25. And twintality is also 25. All right, so here we go. We're gonna roll a d. Two. On a one, it hits twin talon. On a two, it hits knife. Sword. [00:53:30] Speaker B: Porce Nobrianna. [00:53:32] Speaker A: Too far away. Rude. One twintalon. [00:53:38] Speaker B: I swear, it's favoritism. [00:53:40] Speaker D: Okay, so what's the deal? [00:53:42] Speaker A: Well, I make an attack saving throw. Most of these saving throws give me a reflex save. [00:53:48] Speaker D: Ooh, my favorite. This is gonna be where I really needed that hero point, but yeah, don't y'all worry about it. 34. [00:54:00] Speaker A: Okay, well let's see if I hit. Does a 27 hit you? [00:54:06] Speaker D: Yep. [00:54:07] Speaker A: So orange eye beam or orange smoke starts to billow from the mouth of this dragon pillar. And a beam of orange light washes over you twin talon. You feel just this acid start to burn on your skin. [00:54:25] Speaker D: No I don't. [00:54:26] Speaker A: You do not. Cause you critically succeeded. [00:54:28] Speaker D: I mean, even if I regularly succeed, I critically succeed on reflex saves. [00:54:33] Speaker C: Nice. [00:54:34] Speaker D: Yay. [00:54:35] Speaker A: Avoidance. [00:54:36] Speaker B: Avoidance. [00:54:37] Speaker A: Brianna hello. It is your turn, um, next week. [00:54:45] Speaker B: Why you always do this to me? [00:54:47] Speaker D: It's always on her turn. Well, the last time, but usually unless. [00:54:50] Speaker B: It was your turn, it's usually me favoritism. I'm gonna go cry now. [00:54:56] Speaker D: Bye. [00:55:02] Speaker A: Thank you for listening to the Crack Die podcast. Background sound effects provided by Sirenscape because Epic Games deserve Epic music.
