[00:00:38] Speaker A: Hello, everyone, and welcome back for episode 80 of the Cracked Die podcast. My name is Matt. I play twin talent on the show episode 80. Man, we're getting up there. Pretty soon we'll be pushing that hundred mark and then two years of content. And, man, you're welcome. You're welcome. Also, thank you for taking this journey along with us. We really do appreciate it. And speaking of people that we appreciate, let's talk about Patreon for a second. Patreon, that thing that allows you to tell us how much you enjoy our content monetarily. But what do I get for my hard earned Patreon dollars? Well, let me tell you, all of our patrons get access to our exclusive Patreon discord, where you can chat with us and chat with people like you who enjoy our show. Additionally, if you pledge at the five dollar level, you'll get to make a crit hit or crit miscard for use in both the crack Die podcast and on the Absalom and order Twitch show. But, Matt, you say, not only did we think you were dead and or locked in Sean's basement because we haven't heard from you for so long, but that can't possibly be real. People can't possibly be giving you money to listen to this show. Oh, they can. And they don't do it to listen to the show. They do it to support the show, to show their support. And we appreciate that. But two new Patreons patrons, Patreon supporters, have joined the ranks. So we'd like to give a big shout out to both Jason Leitch and Chris Simmons for joining the ranks of our Patreon supporters. We couldn't do this without you folks. All right, let's get to the episode. Episode 80 of the Crack Die podcast. Wagon Wheel.
[00:02:18] Speaker B: Hola, and welcome to the 80th episode of the Crack Die podcast.
[00:02:23] Speaker C: Guys, 20 more episodes, and then we hit 100.
[00:02:28] Speaker B: Woo.
[00:02:29] Speaker A: I have a pterodactyl.
[00:02:36] Speaker D: Birds in it.
[00:02:37] Speaker E: Has it grown to its large size yet?
[00:02:39] Speaker A: I don't know if that's Shawn, but it should be sometime over the time before we go adventuring again. It should be large.
[00:02:45] Speaker E: I just like that. Like, day one, it's small. By day three, it's medium. By day five, it's large.
[00:02:50] Speaker B: Like, what are you eating, goblins? You notice that your crew is getting smaller?
[00:03:02] Speaker E: Oh, no.
[00:03:04] Speaker D: We need to organize, defend ourselves.
Everyone in the backpack.
[00:03:11] Speaker B: Okay, you've all had some time here in Breach Hill. A couple of you have had dreams. Some of you found a lost pterodactyl. Some of you have angel wings. Maybe some of you have built a house in a backpack that isn't properly ventilated and you come out coughing all the time, covered in.
[00:03:36] Speaker D: I'm fine. I'm fine.
[00:03:39] Speaker B: Some of you have tried to do research on a mysterious group called the Scarlet Triad.
[00:03:45] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:03:46] Speaker B: So, Saraya, what did you roll back last week?
[00:03:50] Speaker E: I know before you just decided we weren't going to address it.
I got a 31.
[00:03:56] Speaker B: Okay, that's pretty good.
[00:03:58] Speaker C: Yeah, I'd say.
[00:04:00] Speaker B: Okay, so in your research, you find that the Scarlet triad is known as an up and up group.
[00:04:10] Speaker A: Okay, she has an up and up group. I don't know what that means.
[00:04:14] Speaker E: Like, all in the up and up. They seem official. They seem like they're doing okay.
[00:04:18] Speaker A: Okay, well, we know that's not true.
[00:04:19] Speaker E: Well, yes, we know. That's the veneer.
[00:04:21] Speaker B: You rolled a 31.
[00:04:24] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:04:25] Speaker B: What you learn is the following. The Scarlet triad is a mercantile consortium based in Cadpesh whose interests are diverse and varied. Their primary business is importing and exporting luxuries, spices, magic items and text. But in recent years, they have also started to facilitate the placement of specialists, experts and mercenaries for other organizations with particular needs. The Scarlet triad was founded not long after the age of lost omens began, when an already powerful mercantile group in catapish merged with a fleet of traders who ran the routes between catapish and Cheliaks, and a dwarven trade organization who maintained relations between the five king mountains and catapesh.
[00:05:15] Speaker E: That's all I know so far.
[00:05:16] Speaker B: And that's all you know.
[00:05:18] Speaker E: Alrighty. Hmm. Well, I feel like I might know where the next gate is gonna lead us.
I'll share it with the group that, you know, if we. If we know this is who we're going after, this is probably the more public knowledge about them, but I'm assuming we all suspect that there is a dark underbelly.
[00:05:37] Speaker B: So how did you go about getting this information?
[00:05:41] Speaker E: Well, so I use the skooled in secrets skill feat, which lets me use occultism to do it.
[00:05:47] Speaker B: Right.
[00:05:48] Speaker E: I'm trying to think of, like, what that means, like, roleplay wise. Yeah, I would think maybe between some of the things I've dealt with. With, like, all the Dahawk nightmares and everything I have. Well, it's just not a particularly personable elf. That's the funny part, either. Yeah. Just, like, research. Especially if the bookstore is still currently unmanned, or through. Like, if there's anyone passing through town, like, she's pretty good at sussing out that kind of information. And or using Jasper to spy on things when she has people distracted.
[00:06:22] Speaker B: Okay, great. So it's now day six. It's a fire day, which is a Friday. Fire day. Fire day. Gotta get down on fire day.
Is there anything else that you guys would like to do?
[00:06:38] Speaker A: Well, we've gone shopping.
[00:06:40] Speaker E: Yep.
[00:06:42] Speaker A: Our listeners will be really confused when we start whipping stuff out. But don't worry about it.
We have swapped out the runes. We've gone and nursed a pterodactyl. Go back to health, which is suddenly very big.
We looked into the scarlet triad. We tried to figure out why our measurements didn't work in our new home project, which if anyone has actually built anything themselves, that's not an unfamiliar feeling. You're like, I fucking measured this. I don't understand why these things don't fit together.
[00:07:14] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:07:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:07:15] Speaker A: So I would think the twin talon, if he will spend some time every day with. With his new. His new friend. But he will be spending a lot of time trying to help the goblins fix up the citadel.
[00:07:26] Speaker D: Okay, I'm gonna go get myself a six gobbo knuckle length piece of pipe that's by one gobbo knuckle wide with a 90 degree bend at the end of.
[00:07:40] Speaker B: Okay.
Oh, my gosh.
[00:07:43] Speaker A: And that's the bend that happens when you heat it up to 90 degrees, I'm assuming.
[00:07:51] Speaker D: Oh, don't worry. It's much more explosive lower than that.
[00:07:54] Speaker B: Okay, so, Matt, you did mention that you all did go shopping.
[00:07:59] Speaker A: We did.
[00:08:00] Speaker B: Would anyone like to discuss what they purchased?
[00:08:04] Speaker A: Great. Okay.
I think we all were just like, well, I don't want to be the person to go.
[00:08:10] Speaker E: My brain just shorted out and went like, what did I purchase?
[00:08:15] Speaker A: Okay, I'll start. I'll remember for everyone. So Twintalon got a set of goggles of night, the middle ones. So I can basically just turn them on once a day. And then until I turn them off, I can. I have darkvision, which is super useful considering knife sword has dark vision and Soraya has dark vision. I feel like it will only assist us if and when Brianna and Twintellen have Darkvision, so. Got those. Also, we all added a rune to our armor. At least one if you didn't have one. We all got a standard plus one potency rune on armor. And then we added a resilience rune to everybody. So we all have a plus one to all of our saves, which is a steal. I also added because we had a bunch of runes after we kind of disassembled everything we, we had a bunch of runes and I put striking on my short bow. So now I have the one striking shifting cold iron short sword. A regular plus one striking short sword, and now a one striking short bow. In addition to eclipse the star knife, we also, we all bought a potion of healing, I think probably.
[00:09:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. There was a lot of things purchased. I think the biggest thing that everyone purchased was or didn't purchase, but definitely had things moved around where the runes for plus ones and.
[00:09:40] Speaker A: Oh, Brana's got that cool javelin now.
[00:09:43] Speaker B: Oh, yes.
[00:09:44] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, I almost forgot about that. Thanks, honey.
[00:09:46] Speaker A: Yeah, the plus one striking returning javelin.
[00:09:50] Speaker C: It's great. I love it.
[00:09:52] Speaker A: The last javelin you'll ever need to own.
[00:09:56] Speaker E: Oh, and I did get. I bought a formula as well for something called an alignment ampule.
[00:10:02] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:10:03] Speaker E: Which does damage based on, like, if the creature has alignment weakness, it will deal its weakness.
[00:10:10] Speaker C: That is cool.
[00:10:11] Speaker E: So when an alignment ampule strikes the creature with a weakness to good, evil, chaos, or law, it deals illicit damage, which matches the creature's highest weakness. Damage is always based on the weakness of the initial target. If the creature has multiple eligible weaknesses, it randomly determines the damage type.
[00:10:25] Speaker B: And I think almost more importantly, Brianna managed to make some plus one resilient explorer clothes for knife sword.
[00:10:34] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:10:35] Speaker B: So he's no longer in rags.
[00:10:37] Speaker A: He's in pre rags, I believe.
[00:10:40] Speaker B: And Brianna trying to put them on knife sword was like trying to put shoes on a toddler.
[00:10:47] Speaker A: Just put them, put them on, put them on. No, I think we had to. I think we had to, like, steal his clothes while he was sleeping or something. Yeah, like, look, it's nothing. Or this. And then we were like, oh, no, we shouldn't have done that.
[00:11:02] Speaker C: What have we done?
[00:11:04] Speaker B: After everything, you guys still have 3495 gold pieces left.
[00:11:10] Speaker C: Wow. Gold pieces?
[00:11:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:12] Speaker A: Yeah, we got some cash that'll be.
[00:11:14] Speaker B: Good for fixing up three silver and seven copper.
[00:11:17] Speaker A: Don't sleep on the seven copper.
[00:11:22] Speaker B: You still have Bellsmog's notes that you could try and decipher more of. You can do more research into the scarlet triad if you'd like.
Or you guys can just say, forget it, and we're done.
[00:11:39] Speaker C: I like that idea.
[00:11:42] Speaker B: Oh, you were crafting magical items in your downtime, weren't you?
[00:11:45] Speaker E: I was. So I want to see if something I have has a specific trait as to whether or not I can make it in batches. Okay. It is not consumable, but the other thing I can make are healing potions, and I can make them in up to batches. Of four.
[00:12:01] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:12:02] Speaker E: Because they are consumable. So yes, I will at least give everybody a healing potion. I can make the crafting check. It's like a minor healing potion. It's like the version I can't imagine.
[00:12:11] Speaker B: It's crazy.
[00:12:12] Speaker E: And I got a 21.
[00:12:14] Speaker B: You're good.
Yeah, you definitely are able to craft those.
[00:12:19] Speaker E: Cool. So everybody has a minor healing potion as well.
[00:12:22] Speaker A: Now.
[00:12:23] Speaker C: Just nice.
[00:12:24] Speaker A: Also, at some point I would like to get some. Some barding for my pterodactyl.
[00:12:30] Speaker B: Yeah, what is barding?
[00:12:31] Speaker A: Did you ask what barding was?
[00:12:33] Speaker B: Is it just like the barding, like class animal armor?
[00:12:37] Speaker A: Boy, I wish it was.
It just like screeches. We all got plus one. No, it's. It is, yeah. Animal for a nano companion or a mount.
[00:12:47] Speaker B: Ah, gotcha, gotcha. It is fire day. Fire day. Saraya spends the day crafting.
[00:12:54] Speaker E: It's actually probably more likely I spent the four days leading at the beginning of the week crafting and the last day gathering information, because crafting takes four days.
[00:13:01] Speaker B: Does anyone have anything else they'd like to do?
[00:13:05] Speaker C: Can't think of anything.
[00:13:07] Speaker B: All right, Saraya.
[00:13:09] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:13:09] Speaker B: The next day, after doing some research at the reliant book company, you get a note.
[00:13:16] Speaker E: This is feeling very, very. Elder scrolls know what you do.
[00:13:21] Speaker B: Do you see the note?
[00:13:23] Speaker E: I do.
[00:13:26] Speaker B: Excellent.
Would you like to share with the rest of the group? Because you're the only one who has it.
[00:13:31] Speaker E: That's true. I will. When we meet up that morning, I will share with them that I found a note. And I'm not sure if this is in relation to some questions I have been asking or some feelings I've put out, but it says, esteemed adventurers, I have a proposition for you. I wish to speak about potential employment of your skills, but do not wish to involve the authorities. This is a matter for which your skills are uniquely appropriate, but also one that needs to remain secret. I've taken the liberty of commandeering your local Wainwright's shop as a meeting place. Come before sunrise and do so alone. If you do not meet me before then, or if you enroll the authorities, this one time offer will not be issued again. In such a case, please accept my condolences in advance for your Wainwright's fate and the unfortunate fire that claimed his shot.
[00:14:17] Speaker A: Wow, I don't like that guy already.
[00:14:19] Speaker E: I do believe we are being blackmailed. Yeah, so I guess it's buskers, carts and wheels, which would be correct on our breach hill map.
[00:14:27] Speaker B: And you are currently meeting at Cadence Cave.
[00:14:30] Speaker E: So. Okay, so I'm assuming tomorrow they want us there before dawn, because.
[00:14:35] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:14:36] Speaker E: Otherwise, well, oops.
[00:14:39] Speaker C: I do not know how I feel about being employed by somebody who would threaten us to meet them.
[00:14:45] Speaker E: Well, we can always go and meet them, decide that. Well, maybe we do want to get the authorities involved, subdue them, and then do such that that is wise.
[00:14:53] Speaker A: I feel like they're very foolish, because if they know anything about us, they wouldn't have done it this way. They would have been better off being like, I have $12.
We're like, oh, tell us more about your quest, sir.
[00:15:09] Speaker E: What's a dollar twintelle? And I've never heard of this currency.
[00:15:11] Speaker A: I don't know. It's mysterious and weird. That's what I'm saying. We're like, oh, I'm very interested.
[00:15:16] Speaker E: What is this esoteric reward you speak of?
[00:15:18] Speaker A: Right. Then I'm gonna murder your rain rain.
[00:15:22] Speaker E: Gonna kill your wagon maker and burn down his shop. We've already almost burned down the town hall.
[00:15:28] Speaker C: Yeah, well, that wasn't ours.
[00:15:30] Speaker B: Let's.
[00:15:30] Speaker C: Let's be fair, okay?
[00:15:31] Speaker E: No, that's. I forget his name, the little nuisance.
[00:15:34] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:15:34] Speaker A: Calmott.
[00:15:35] Speaker E: Calmott almost burned down town hall shop. What is with this town of arsonists?
[00:15:40] Speaker C: Maybe this is Calmott.
[00:15:42] Speaker A: Could be.
[00:15:43] Speaker E: I thought he was in custody.
[00:15:44] Speaker C: Well, we don't know how long his sentence was.
[00:15:46] Speaker A: I hope it was more than three weeks.
[00:15:47] Speaker E: Less than three weeks?
[00:15:48] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:15:50] Speaker C: I don't know.
[00:15:52] Speaker E: You've lived in breacher longer than I have.
[00:15:54] Speaker C: That's true. Would I know that information, Sean?
[00:15:57] Speaker B: Yes. Trying to burn down and kill the town mayors. He's not gonna see the light of day for a good chunk of time.
[00:16:07] Speaker C: Excellent.
[00:16:08] Speaker B: At least ten years. And Calamot was a halfling, so that's. That's a long time.
[00:16:16] Speaker A: Are halfling short lived, aren't they? I don't know. That was news to me. I thought they were.
[00:16:21] Speaker B: Are they the same as. Do they have this? It doesn't matter. Ten years to hard labor. So.
[00:16:27] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:16:28] Speaker D: Mining yellow rocks.
[00:16:30] Speaker E: No. No yellow rocks.
[00:16:32] Speaker C: No more of those, friend. Don't worry. But that being said, I wouldn't want to keep whoever this is waiting and have our. Our poor local wainwright be in any danger. Poor Vasker, indeed.
[00:16:49] Speaker E: So tomorrow before dawn?
[00:16:51] Speaker A: Sure. Yeah.
[00:16:52] Speaker C: Sounds like a plan.
[00:16:54] Speaker A: Wait, how far before dawn?
[00:16:57] Speaker E: Close the note.
[00:16:58] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:17:04] Speaker B: So you all have the rest of today to do whatever you need to do or would like to do. Otherwise, we can fast forward.
[00:17:12] Speaker C: Does anybody need to do anything?
[00:17:14] Speaker B: You see knife swords start reaching towards the note. Well, I maybe see maybe give me a perception check. Saraya.
[00:17:22] Speaker E: Now, if Jasper is nearby, does that do anything to intimidate him?
[00:17:27] Speaker B: No.
[00:17:28] Speaker E: Oh, wow. Damn.
[00:17:29] Speaker B: You don't notice him?
[00:17:31] Speaker E: I do not.
[00:17:31] Speaker B: Knife. Sword. You grab the note and you taste it. And it tastes like paper and ink.
[00:17:39] Speaker D: I'm just crumpled up there over my shoulder. Okay.
[00:17:41] Speaker A: Very suspicious.
[00:17:46] Speaker B: Okay, does anyone else have any. Anything they'd like to do?
[00:17:49] Speaker C: I think focusing on getting this person back is definitely a priority.
[00:17:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:17:56] Speaker B: All right, so 05:00 a.m. clicks by clicks to where you are like we're.
[00:18:04] Speaker D: Standing in a luminescent white powder.
[00:18:09] Speaker A: We're awake. We're so awake right now.
[00:18:15] Speaker B: So you approach this rather for a building, it is fairly large. You think that you could get maybe two wagons in there at a time. You notice that to the south there is a double door, and. And to the east there is a single door.
[00:18:34] Speaker C: What is our course of action?
[00:18:36] Speaker A: Do they tell us where to meet them?
[00:18:38] Speaker E: Are there windows or anything?
[00:18:39] Speaker D: Is there a sign?
[00:18:41] Speaker B: There is no windows. The sign says buskers, carts and wheels. For all your carts and wheels need.
[00:18:47] Speaker E: I'm gonna have Jasper fly up a little bit and see if he notices anybody, like on their way or hanging out.
[00:18:54] Speaker D: Oh, this is the perfect place to use my eyeball.
[00:18:56] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:18:57] Speaker A: Yeah. Look at you.
[00:18:58] Speaker B: So you cast your eyeball.
[00:19:00] Speaker A: Mm hmm.
[00:19:01] Speaker D: Let's see. I got 500ft.
[00:19:02] Speaker B: Yep. And it lasts for a minute. And it's floating.
[00:19:06] Speaker D: All right.
[00:19:07] Speaker B: Where are you putting it?
[00:19:08] Speaker D: Looking for a window. There's no windows, you said?
[00:19:10] Speaker B: Nope. No windows to this shop. Just doors.
[00:19:13] Speaker D: Okay, so the eyeball is only a one inch diameter. Can I fit it under the door?
[00:19:18] Speaker B: Uh, sure. So you managed to slip the eyeball under the door.
[00:19:26] Speaker D: Fancy.
[00:19:27] Speaker B: You see a fireplace with an anvil, a room to the back, and a double double doors to the north as well.
[00:19:36] Speaker D: I'm going to send it to the room in the back.
[00:19:38] Speaker B: So as you send it to the room in the back, you notice that it's a hallway that ends in a single door to the east and a counter with a ledger and a lockbox.
[00:19:51] Speaker D: Can I. Is the ledger open?
[00:19:53] Speaker B: I know the ledger is currently closed.
[00:19:55] Speaker D: Okay, can I get under the door directly to the east of me?
[00:19:58] Speaker B: Uh, yeah. So as you slide it under there, you notice that this looks like a bedroom.
[00:20:04] Speaker D: Okay, I'll go back out of there then. There look like anybody's in there?
[00:20:08] Speaker B: And that's gonna take about a minute to do all of that.
[00:20:11] Speaker D: Okay. Okay, so it's a huge palatial room with a finely hewn fireplace at one end and a torture device at the other.
[00:20:24] Speaker A: A torture device?
[00:20:25] Speaker D: Then there's a bar with book on it, I guess. I don't know. And a brothel in the back.
[00:20:34] Speaker C: A what?
[00:20:35] Speaker A: Wow. Vusker's is a lot more seedy than I thought.
[00:20:40] Speaker D: I didn't see anybody though.
[00:20:42] Speaker A: You didn't see any people?
[00:20:44] Speaker D: No.
[00:20:45] Speaker A: Doesn't bode well, but I guess we should go in. I am going to ask for Tasani. I'm gonna ask for Taysani to perch on the roof and make noises, loud noises, if they see anybody creeping up or approaching the building.
[00:21:01] Speaker B: All right, so a large pterodactyl flies onto the roof and perches.
[00:21:06] Speaker A: Well, I guess we go in. I mean, I don't see anything we can do. It's that or just walk away and let the Wainwright die.
[00:21:13] Speaker C: That is not an option. Twin Talon, could you check that the doors are not trapped in any way, just to make sure?
[00:21:21] Speaker A: Absolutely. So twintalon will do that? If you want to make a secret perception check.
[00:21:27] Speaker B: I do. Using your eyes.
[00:21:30] Speaker A: Using my eyeballs. I'm gonna look at them.
[00:21:32] Speaker B: Which door are you looking at? Sorry, I should have asked. The double doors or the single door?
[00:21:36] Speaker A: We'll start with the single door.
[00:21:38] Speaker B: Okay, so you walk around the building. So I'm just gonna have you kind of jauntily walk. You check that door and everything looks clear.
[00:21:49] Speaker A: Then he will move to the double doors and he will check those two just to double check the double doors. Double, double, toil and trouble.
[00:21:57] Speaker B: All right, let's. Let's roll it again. Perception.
Everything also looks cool. Clear on those doors.
[00:22:05] Speaker A: Okay, so go back and they'll just say, hey, so these doors look safe. I went around to the side. That door also looks safe. I'm here now, so if you want to go in this door here, Brianna.
[00:22:18] Speaker C: Will at least ready her shield.
[00:22:20] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:22:21] Speaker C: Not that she's necessarily expecting trouble as this person wished to talk, but, you know, in the event, if everybody does agree, I think we should just go in.
[00:22:33] Speaker E: That's fine with me.
[00:22:34] Speaker B: Who's opening the doors?
[00:22:36] Speaker A: I'll do it.
[00:22:37] Speaker B: All right.
[00:22:37] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:22:38] Speaker B: Click on the door.
[00:22:39] Speaker A: Oh, right, I forgot how to do that. Bing. Push them inward.
[00:22:44] Speaker C: Just kidding. Haha.
[00:22:46] Speaker B: This workshop is large enough to hold multiple wagons at once. A fireplace and forge stand opposite the machinery next to a narrow door. Two other doors lead north. One is tucked in an alcove and adorned with a wooden sign reading private. The other is slightly. Is a slightly ajar double door.
[00:23:08] Speaker A: Is this slightly a jar double door? The one, like, northwest of where we are?
[00:23:12] Speaker B: Yes. Yes.
[00:23:14] Speaker A: All right, well, twin towels are to stealthily move in.
[00:23:18] Speaker C: Brianna will do the same.
[00:23:20] Speaker B: All right, everyone, stop right there. Brianna, you're moving in stealthily.
[00:23:26] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:23:26] Speaker B: Okay, how else is. How is everybody else moving in there?
[00:23:31] Speaker E: I just moved to the door.
[00:23:32] Speaker B: Okay. All right, Brianna, you are also moving stealthily. Okay?
[00:23:39] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:23:40] Speaker B: As you walk in, you see the double doors get pushed open and a man step forward. Ah.
Thank you for accepting my invitation, friends.
And yes, yes, your Wainwright is fine.
If our conversation goes well, he'll stay fine. I've arranged for this meeting to ask you about a former associate and perhaps offer you a job. And I have no reason to see anyone hurt, particularly not the poor, exhausted gentleman in the room behind me. So if you've the inclination, I have a few questions for you.
[00:24:23] Speaker A: I have a question.
[00:24:25] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:24:26] Speaker A: What stops us from killing you very quickly and not having this conversation?
[00:24:31] Speaker B: I. Should any harm fall on me, my friends in the back will deal with the Wainwright appropriately. Now, I've taken some precautions, if you will, to make sure no one is telling half truths.
Now, I would expect you to answer honestly from your reputation, of course, but should you not, I will know what has happened to my former associate, Miss Lorraine.
[00:25:12] Speaker A: Miss. Miss Lorraine, the. The book lady?
[00:25:16] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:25:18] Speaker A: Oh. She was trying to start an assassin's guild and then decided to attack us. It didn't go well for her, and.
[00:25:30] Speaker B: He kind of looks around and nods.
Interesting. And I believe Miss Lorraine was taking some notes from me. What has happened to her notes? And what do you know of Elsetta's ring?
[00:25:46] Speaker A: Why are you asking about it?
[00:25:49] Speaker B: My employers were the ones paying Miss Lorraine to get the information.
Now that she is not here, we are looking to recover the knowledge that she had uncovered.
[00:26:08] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:26:09] Speaker B: We paid her a fee, and we are looking for our investments returned.
[00:26:13] Speaker A: Maybe you should ask her, since we're.
[00:26:16] Speaker C: Being so open and free with information.
Who exactly are your employers, then, sir?
[00:26:27] Speaker B: I work for a small merchantile company looking for easier ways to import and export goods.
But I'm sure you already know that.
[00:26:37] Speaker E: Hmm?
[00:26:38] Speaker B: True.
[00:26:41] Speaker D: False. No, true.
I haven't played this before. Sorry.
[00:26:47] Speaker A: Don't need to be sorry, buddy. You're doing great.
[00:26:50] Speaker B: You. You might call them an international group of powerful merchants who know how to take care of their employees properly.
If you're looking for a job, we might be able to strike up a deal.
Would you be willing to work for them?
[00:27:13] Speaker A: In what capacity? What could we possibly gain from this interaction?
Your non mentioned employers.
[00:27:23] Speaker B: Well, they're very wealthy. So gold, jewels, riches beyond your wildest dreams.
[00:27:33] Speaker C: That's very kind. But until we can have a more face to face conversation with your employers, I believe we do have to decline. Especially since I'm not sure somebody just simply coming into breechel and asking such information has the authority to hire new employees.
[00:27:57] Speaker A: That and kidnapping is not a real good way to start a relationship.
[00:28:02] Speaker C: Indeed.
[00:28:05] Speaker B: Well, it seems that you have answered all of my questions truthfully, so I appreciate that. Now, I will be preparing to leave now if you stay right here, I will be right back.
And he steps into the room in the back.
[00:28:28] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:28:30] Speaker B: And one of his associates closes the door.
[00:28:34] Speaker D: Is there a one inch gap below the door?
[00:28:38] Speaker B: There is.
However, before that happens to, uh, you, uh. Everyone give me a perception check. Everyone in the building, give me a perception check. So twin talon, brianna and knife sword.
[00:29:00] Speaker E: Oh, I would have stepped in a little bit, but.
[00:29:03] Speaker B: Okay, I'll be like back here.
[00:29:06] Speaker E: Yeah, um, I also definitely have a hand on my, my water skin already because I don't trust them.
[00:29:14] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:29:15] Speaker E: Not to just light the place up because they didn't get the answer they wanted.
[00:29:18] Speaker B: All right, everyone give me a perception check. Christine, what did you get?
[00:29:23] Speaker E: Unnatural. 20.
[00:29:25] Speaker B: Okay, nice.
[00:29:27] Speaker E: Unnatural.
[00:29:29] Speaker C: Oh, unnatural. Whoops.
[00:29:30] Speaker B: Hiya.
[00:29:32] Speaker C: I got a 21.
[00:29:33] Speaker B: Twintalon.
[00:29:35] Speaker A: Twintalon got a 31.
[00:29:37] Speaker B: Excellent. And knife sword.
[00:29:40] Speaker D: 32.
[00:29:41] Speaker A: Yahtzee.
[00:29:44] Speaker B: Okay, twin talon and knife sword.
You notice at the last second a string that I'm going to draw on the map now leading from this weird lathe looking tool to just be on the door. However, you notice it a little too late.
And the lathe spins out four sharpened fragments as it attacks Saraya, Brianna and twin talon.
[00:30:24] Speaker C: Oh boy.
[00:30:25] Speaker B: Let me just roll this attack. Oh.
28 versus Soraya's ac that just hits.
35 versus twin talons.
[00:30:41] Speaker A: Ac that just hits.
[00:30:44] Speaker B: And a 39 versus Brianna's Ac with the shield rays. Don't forget you have your shield race.
[00:30:49] Speaker C: That hits.
[00:30:50] Speaker B: All right, so all it hits, all of you. I'm just gonna roll the damage once.
So you all take 16 slashing damage as these sharpened fragments fly out. Knife sword. You're behind the counter and you see a sharp spike fly through it and ends a couple inches before your face.
Those of you who did take damage, you're also taking persistent bleed damage on your turn.
[00:31:22] Speaker E: Yeah, I was hoping you were gonna say poisonous. Have my resistance.
[00:31:26] Speaker B: So now let's, you know, it's been so long and I know we haven't had a lot of combat in the, in book two that took, you know, 458 turns. But let's, uh, let's do combat gravitational.
[00:31:52] Speaker D: Experiment 39 a will now commence. Please leave the lab.
[00:31:55] Speaker C: Oh, boy.
[00:31:57] Speaker E: What the fuck are those three things in the combat?
[00:32:01] Speaker C: I don't know. They're spooky, though.
[00:32:03] Speaker E: They are.
[00:32:04] Speaker A: They're scarlet triad. They're bald ladies. Yeah, big old crossbows.
[00:32:09] Speaker E: Their eyes are open a little too wide with that deranged kind of look.
[00:32:12] Speaker A: If the eyeliner. That does it.
[00:32:16] Speaker B: I don't think you should judge them.
[00:32:18] Speaker E: Uh, look, they look like Alyssa Edwards had, like, an extra piece of caffeine today and forgot her wig.
[00:32:31] Speaker B: Christine, what did you roll?
[00:32:33] Speaker E: 27.
[00:32:35] Speaker B: Hiya.
[00:32:36] Speaker C: 21.
[00:32:37] Speaker B: Matt?
[00:32:38] Speaker A: 37.
[00:32:40] Speaker B: Rob?
[00:32:41] Speaker D: 14, I think. No, 19, right?
[00:32:45] Speaker B: 19. That's fine. Twin Talon, you begin this mess.
[00:32:52] Speaker A: Okay, so twin Talon is going to take his first action. He's going to call out it's trap and move up toward the double door.
[00:33:07] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:33:08] Speaker A: With his second action, he will open it.
[00:33:11] Speaker B: All right.
[00:33:12] Speaker A: Hey, I'll be like, they're in here. And I don't see. Okay, so I see two of the scarlet triad ladies with the bald lady crossbows, and I see no eyes McBloody crotch in front of me.
So I am going to thrust my short sword into him.
[00:33:36] Speaker B: All right, you thrust your sword at no eyes.
[00:33:40] Speaker A: Bloody cross, fortunately, was named that. I'm just.
That is a natural 18 for a 36 versus his flat footed ac.
[00:33:50] Speaker B: That will.
36. Flat footed hit.
[00:33:56] Speaker A: Yeah, critically, Yale, that's the way to start off.
[00:34:00] Speaker B: Had to do some. Had to do some math real quick.
[00:34:03] Speaker E: Start this combat out with. You fucked with the wrong group.
[00:34:08] Speaker A: Yeah. All right, so I pulled a crit. So, Sean, we got some more patrons that added more crit cards. That correct?
[00:34:15] Speaker B: That is correct. We have some crit hits now.
[00:34:18] Speaker A: Good, good, good. Well, I didn't get that, but I. The target is fatigued. What does fatigued do? Is it just negative one to everything?
[00:34:29] Speaker B: Fatigued? You take a minus one status penalty to ac and saving throws. You recover from fatigue after a full night's rest.
[00:34:38] Speaker A: Great.
Yeah, I'm gonna do double damage, and now this guy is fatigued.
[00:34:44] Speaker B: Could you maybe not.
[00:34:46] Speaker A: No, I'd like to do that. I think that's great. Mm hmm.
[00:34:49] Speaker D: Concur.
[00:34:49] Speaker B: Okay, and how much damage did you do? He also can't use exploration activities.
[00:34:55] Speaker A: Yeah, suck it.
[00:34:56] Speaker E: Oh, that's right. I remember being fatigued.
[00:34:59] Speaker B: All right, so it looks like you did 15 points of slashing, and we'll double that for 30.
[00:35:06] Speaker A: Right? Plus an additional two D six from sneak attack.
[00:35:09] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. And doesn't your fun new thing.
[00:35:13] Speaker A: Yeah, it does. I now have to build Anx. Right, so additional seven. So it's 46 plus nine is the attack I did. So that's 22 is what I ended up with. Times two is 44. So he takes 44 damage. He is fatigued. And on top of that, I would also like to give him the enfeebled. One condition till the end of my next turn.
[00:35:36] Speaker B: Cool. I really enjoy that new thing you can do.
[00:35:40] Speaker A: Maybe you should have thought of that before you just attacked us.
[00:35:43] Speaker B: So that was three actions, correct.
[00:35:46] Speaker A: It was move, open the door, attack.
[00:35:49] Speaker B: Great. So now the trapped lathe goes and the trap laid has a routine where it. Wow. It's gonna use three actions to shoot three more sharpened fragment.
[00:36:07] Speaker A: We gotta save this time since we know what's happening.
[00:36:09] Speaker B: You do not. It's versus your ac at this point. Saraya, 43.
[00:36:15] Speaker E: Ouch.
[00:36:17] Speaker B: Yeah, that'll create Brianna. 40 versus your ac with a shield raised. Yeah.
[00:36:26] Speaker C: You did not critically succeed.
[00:36:28] Speaker B: And twin Talon 34 versus your ac.
[00:36:32] Speaker A: It's a regular hit.
[00:36:34] Speaker B: All right. Oh, I forgot something too. Welcome to book three, guys. You have fun.
[00:36:41] Speaker C: So much fun.
[00:36:43] Speaker E: Session one, Tpk by lathe.
[00:36:46] Speaker B: All right, so Matt, you're taking 24 damage.
[00:36:52] Speaker A: What?
[00:36:53] Speaker B: From the lathe. Okay, Brianna, you're taking a 24 points from the lathe.
[00:36:59] Speaker E: And I'm taking 48.
[00:37:01] Speaker B: And you're taking 48 points from the lathe. Ouch.
No, nor should you. Next is one of the Scarlet Triad members. Turn. First action is they're going to open the door and then they're gonna draw a rapier and swing at Twintalon. Okay, 24 versus your ac.
[00:37:25] Speaker A: Say 24.
[00:37:26] Speaker B: 24.
[00:37:27] Speaker A: That is a miss.
[00:37:29] Speaker B: All right. Clangs off your armor.
[00:37:32] Speaker A: Probably not. Okay, I guess.
[00:37:34] Speaker B: Yeah, you will. Leather thumps off your armor. Saraya, it is your turn.
[00:37:38] Speaker E: I'm gonna run up a little closer. Okay, can I see any doors in this room that they're all in?
[00:37:44] Speaker B: You do not.
[00:37:46] Speaker D: Cool.
[00:37:47] Speaker E: So yeah, I'm gonna run up here, gonna throw in a poison smoke bomb and I'm gonna close the doors.
[00:37:54] Speaker B: Are you sure?
[00:37:55] Speaker A: What's this face could be in there.
[00:37:57] Speaker E: Ah, damn it.
And we can't see it from here. Damn it. Of course you might be in there. All right, I'm gonna stay a little further back. Then I'm gonna try and shove over the lathe. Or like knock it down some, try to disable it in some way.
[00:38:15] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:38:15] Speaker E: Is this a little belt here?
[00:38:17] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:38:18] Speaker E: That's spinning.
[00:38:20] Speaker B: You would have to make an attack roll against it.
[00:38:23] Speaker E: That is fine.
Fun fact, I am proficient in unarmed strikes and I have handwraps and mighty blows.
[00:38:31] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:38:32] Speaker E: So she's probably just gonna like heave on it. But like that's how. Well that's how we'll consider it. And the is a 32 that will hit. Now like I said, essentially my goal is to like stop it from working. Knock it over. Do something like that would quote grappling it.
[00:38:50] Speaker B: Roll damage.
[00:38:51] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:38:52] Speaker B: Just roll regular damage.
[00:38:56] Speaker E: That's seven damage.
[00:38:57] Speaker B: Okay. So you managed to it. This is a lathe. Like a giant old yieldy lathe. So as you trying to push on it, it's not really moving.
[00:39:09] Speaker E: Okay, so that's what two actions.
Well let's also do.
I'm just gonna like smash it with an acid flask too.
[00:39:19] Speaker B: A lesser one. Okay.
The. The lathe.
[00:39:24] Speaker E: Yeah. I don't want to break this guy's equipment but like okay no, fuck his equipment.
[00:39:28] Speaker A: We have 3000 gold if we want to buy one.
[00:39:30] Speaker E: Yeah, we can fix it. So 27 to hit it with that.
[00:39:34] Speaker B: Okay. You hit.
[00:39:35] Speaker E: Cool. It's gonna do its one d six persistent. Well it does one damage at the end of I guess its turn. It takes. It'll take the persistent and the one splash right now. So that should just keep wearing away at it because I'm assuming this inanimate object does not have a fork shoot safe.
[00:39:51] Speaker B: That is correct.
[00:39:53] Speaker E: Cool.
[00:39:53] Speaker B: At the end of your turn. And I forgot to do this for you as well, Matt. So both you and Saraya are going to take.
[00:40:01] Speaker E: Oh, that's right. We're bleeding.
[00:40:02] Speaker B: One point of bleed damage.
[00:40:05] Speaker A: Oof. And can we make our flat checks now?
[00:40:08] Speaker B: You may make your flat checks.
[00:40:09] Speaker A: I did not pass.
[00:40:11] Speaker B: You did not pass with a two.
[00:40:13] Speaker E: I did not pass with a six.
[00:40:15] Speaker B: You did not.
[00:40:16] Speaker A: I shall not pass.
[00:40:18] Speaker E: Yes, we shall not pass.
[00:40:21] Speaker B: All right. The scarlet triad sneak. The woman in the back is going to draw a rapier.
[00:40:32] Speaker A: Very poor likeness.
[00:40:34] Speaker B: 510 15 2025. Gets to the other side of twin Talon. Flanking him.
[00:40:46] Speaker A: She does not flank me.
[00:40:48] Speaker B: Making him flank.
[00:40:49] Speaker A: No, she does nothing.
[00:40:49] Speaker B: Why not?
[00:40:50] Speaker A: Because I have an ability. I'm a rogue. You cannot flank me. Oh, that's right.
[00:40:53] Speaker B: Oh, physically I am flanking you.
[00:40:56] Speaker A: Yes. You can stand on the other side of me. It doesn't do anything mechanically.
[00:41:00] Speaker B: You are not. You are not flat footed. That's fine.
[00:41:02] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:41:02] Speaker B: And then strikes out at you with a rapier.
[00:41:06] Speaker A: No, a french one.
[00:41:08] Speaker B: Rapier 34.
[00:41:11] Speaker A: That's a hit.
[00:41:13] Speaker B: Alright.
Deals ten damage to you and then that's her turn.
[00:41:19] Speaker C: Feels so useless.
[00:41:21] Speaker B: Well now it is your turn.
[00:41:22] Speaker A: All right.
[00:41:23] Speaker C: So part of me wants to, like, force my way in and knock people over, but that's not my thing. The strategic thing would be to step forward. So I'm flanking with twin Talon and attack this scarlet triad sneak in between us. All right, how's a 34?
[00:41:41] Speaker B: That will.
Oh, they're flat footed, right? Yes.
That will critically hit.
[00:41:47] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
[00:41:54] Speaker E: Uh oh.
[00:41:55] Speaker A: Oh, it's gotta be triple dance.
[00:41:57] Speaker C: Yeah, of course. Pain and simple triple.
[00:42:06] Speaker A: And on top of that, that's it. It's a sword. So they're flat footed till the end of her next turn.
[00:42:10] Speaker E: Oh, we just need, like, the Brienne crit specialization, which is triple damage.
[00:42:20] Speaker A: Forego all other effects. To do triple damage? Yeah, on all crits, 20 times three would be 60.
[00:42:32] Speaker C: I can't math. You know, this about mine, I think it's mostly in incredulous. That's that.
[00:42:38] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:42:38] Speaker A: Is that. Is it still alive? It is still alive, but I'm gonna take a reaction to stab it.
[00:42:45] Speaker C: Okay, excellent.
[00:42:47] Speaker A: I wish my pterodactyl was here.
I wish we weren't in a tiny building.
[00:42:52] Speaker E: I mean, you could have it crashed through the ceiling.
[00:42:54] Speaker A: I was thinking about it.
All right, 17 is a 35 versus flat footed ac.
[00:43:00] Speaker B: 35 versus flat footed ac will critically hit.
[00:43:04] Speaker A: Okay. Can't wait to waste this tongue piercing. The target must succeed at a DC five flat. Check to cast spells with a verbal component until healed. Also, you know, double damage. So I also get my weapon effect, which is she's flat footed until the end of my next turn.
[00:43:21] Speaker B: Okay, well, double flat footed, so super flat footed. Ugh.
[00:43:25] Speaker A: All right, so then let's do the damage, which is 19 plus four. So that's 23 times two is 46 damage.
[00:43:38] Speaker B: Can you describe your kill?
[00:43:43] Speaker A: Sure. So Brianna just comes across real hard, spins her around, and I jam. It's a tongue piercing. That's what it was called. And I jam the shortsword up through her head and then pull it out clean. And she. I'm guessing she crumples to the ground between us.
[00:43:57] Speaker B: Yeah, that's, uh. That's a. That's a nice way to put it. Knife, sword. It is. Your turn.
[00:44:04] Speaker D: Okay, so I can see the string coming from the other room, right? Yes, I already. Okay, so I'm gonna cast mage hand, take my dagger, which is less than one bulk, and take it over to the string and try to either pin the string into the ground or cut it with the dagger.
[00:44:24] Speaker B: Okay.
Uh, you pin it to the ground.
[00:44:28] Speaker A: Does that affect the lathe spinning around you see that?
[00:44:30] Speaker B: It is kind of stuck now. It's not moving anymore.
[00:44:35] Speaker A: Good job.
[00:44:36] Speaker D: Thank you.
[00:44:37] Speaker B: Woohoo.
[00:44:38] Speaker D: And for my next trick, see you.
[00:44:42] Speaker B: Pull a rabbit out of my hat.
[00:44:44] Speaker D: Gonna move here.
[00:44:47] Speaker A: Okay. Is mage hand two actions?
[00:44:48] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:44:49] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:44:50] Speaker B: All right, next up is the guy in charge. So for his first action, he's going to yell slit his throat.
[00:45:02] Speaker C: Oh fuck.
[00:45:03] Speaker D: Well, he had a real attachment to that string.
[00:45:05] Speaker B: For his second action, he's going to swing his rapier at twin Talon after drawing it. Yes.
Actually, he's going to try and disarm you with it.
[00:45:19] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:45:20] Speaker B: So he's going to roll a athletics check versus your reflex DC. Mm hmm. Not enough. I'm gonna guess 24.
[00:45:31] Speaker A: 24? No, it's a 30 you're looking for.
[00:45:34] Speaker B: Okay, so nothing happens. He just uses his last action to do that.
[00:45:40] Speaker A: He takes his sword and clacks it against my sword like we're play fighting.
[00:45:44] Speaker B: Have at the cool.
[00:45:47] Speaker E: He learned all his fighting from Errol Flynn.
[00:45:49] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:45:50] Speaker A: Haha. Clanklin, clang. We're doing it. Good. Right.
[00:45:53] Speaker E: This is how you fight people.
[00:45:54] Speaker B: This last member that you don't really see, they do some things. Twin Talon, it is your turn.
[00:46:02] Speaker A: Okay. There's no windows in this building, right? Like you said that before.
[00:46:06] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:46:07] Speaker A: What a weird building.
[00:46:08] Speaker E: Probably why they picked this one, I guess.
[00:46:10] Speaker A: But how did they expect to escape? Were they just hoping the lathe would kill us and we'd never do anything about it? Like.
[00:46:18] Speaker C: That'Ll walk out the door with us.
[00:46:20] Speaker B: Uh, well, to be fair, Soraya is pretty beaten up from that lathe.
[00:46:24] Speaker E: That's true. I did crit fail though.
[00:46:26] Speaker C: Yeah. Probably something along the lines of we'd actually make a. A pact with them and they'd peacefully walk out the door, but, you know.
[00:46:33] Speaker A: Yeah, I feel like they didn't think that through at all.
[00:46:35] Speaker E: Yeah, we tend not to do that kind of shit.
[00:46:37] Speaker A: Okay. So I don't know how long it would take a pterodactyl to crash through the ceiling, so I'm not gonna take my time doing that. But twin Talon. Twin Talon will say, even if you manage to get past us, you'll never make it out of this town alive. And he will attack him. All right, I mean, I'm here. He's to be attacked. Who is? Hold on a second. Is tumble through an action or is that like a thing you have to learn how to do?
[00:47:01] Speaker B: It is an action. It's an acrobatic skill. Action. One action. You attempt an acrobatics check versus the reflex DC. And then you wind up on the other side, treating it as difficult terrain.
[00:47:14] Speaker A: Yeah, fuck that. Okay, I'm going to take my first action to battle medicine myself because that's a single action that works really well in combat when you are getting whooped a little bit and roll to 19. So I get my healing, which is two d eight, I believe.
[00:47:29] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:47:30] Speaker A: Then I'm immune to my own battle medicine for the rest of the day. But that's six healing, so that's not nothing. Then I will take an action to attack the guy in front of me. I'm like, this is how combat works. It's not clacking swords.
It's like hitting people and stuff.
22 will miss.
[00:47:52] Speaker B: Even with all the negatives.
[00:47:53] Speaker A: I will use my hero point. I don't think we mentioned it, but I assume we have one.
[00:47:57] Speaker B: Yes, everyone has one.
[00:47:59] Speaker D: Wee.
[00:48:00] Speaker B: Well, not everyone. Now what the shit? But this brings up a good point. We have a new rule in effect. And I forget if we talked about it or not, but I've decided that if you spend a hero point and you roll worse than you did on your first roll, you take the better of the two. It's still only a 22, which is still just a regular miss.
[00:48:26] Speaker A: And Sean, did you give me the six of points back?
[00:48:28] Speaker B: I did.
[00:48:29] Speaker A: Okay. Thank you. Just kidding. As far as that's how combat works. All right, I want to try to hit him again.
[00:48:34] Speaker B: So you clack against his rapier.
[00:48:36] Speaker A: Yeah.
Are we doing it? Are we doing the combat? And then I will try it again. Okay, how about 29?
[00:48:46] Speaker B: 29 will regular hit.
[00:48:48] Speaker A: Okay, so I will regular damage him. So 16 damage.
[00:48:52] Speaker B: Is that including sneak attack?
[00:48:54] Speaker A: I don't believe he is flat footed to me. Did I crit on him?
[00:48:57] Speaker B: You did.
[00:48:58] Speaker A: Oh, then yeah, he's flat footed, so it doesn't include sneak attack.
[00:49:01] Speaker B: I just assume they're always flat footed to you.
[00:49:03] Speaker A: It really was. It really is that way. Typically an additional three.
[00:49:07] Speaker E: It's a good assumption.
[00:49:08] Speaker A: So it's a total of 19. And now I will reapply in four. Feeble to him.
[00:49:12] Speaker B: All right, I won't remove it. Next up, you see the Scarlet triad member next to you. Twin Talon. You see them scream in anguish. No. And they move forward. 510, 1520. And strike out at Briena for stabbing their friend, who now lies dead on the floor bleeding out.
[00:49:37] Speaker C: Guess what? You're next.
[00:49:38] Speaker B: Whoo. Spicy.
36 versus your ac.
[00:49:43] Speaker C: I don't know if my ac has changed or not, but apparently it's still marked as a 31 with my shield raised. So, yes, I guess it does hit.
[00:49:50] Speaker B: Okay, you take seven points of piercing damage Owie, and then they're going to attack you a second time. This is a bad idea.
[00:49:59] Speaker C: Okay.
Yes, it is 18. It very much is. Oh, sweet child.
[00:50:06] Speaker B: Is that a critical fail?
[00:50:08] Speaker C: Let me double check, but I'm pretty sure it is.
[00:50:12] Speaker B: All right, beautiful. Critical miscard. And it is a. It's a melee take minus one to attack rolls until I score a critical hit.
[00:50:24] Speaker E: Ow.
[00:50:27] Speaker A: I love it when your crit fails. Gonna lead to more crit fails, right? Mm hmm.
[00:50:31] Speaker E: That's always a fun thing.
[00:50:33] Speaker B: Cool. All right, Saraya, it is your turn.
[00:50:36] Speaker E: Doesn't the lathe go right before me?
[00:50:39] Speaker B: The lathe no longer is in action.
[00:50:41] Speaker E: Okay. It is getting melted.
[00:50:44] Speaker B: Yes, Twintalon, you were supposed to take more bleed. So you take five more points of bleed at the end of your turn.
[00:50:52] Speaker A: And I roll in that 20 to stabilize. So I'm good.
[00:50:55] Speaker B: All right. No longer bleeding.
[00:50:57] Speaker A: Also, I have a question. With all the combat that's happening, do you think it would be reasonable to say that Tasani comes down to see what's going on?
[00:51:08] Speaker B: I will say next turn, they will be able to move in.
[00:51:12] Speaker A: Okay. Because they do take an action every turn, whether I give them an action or not. Because they were perched on the roof, right?
[00:51:19] Speaker B: So they walked and flew down. And. Soraya, would you like Jasper with you as well?
[00:51:24] Speaker E: Yeah, he'll be nearby. He'll be probably on me because he is my valet.
[00:51:27] Speaker B: Okay, it is now your turn, Saraya.
[00:51:30] Speaker E: I'm definitely gonna drink a moderate elixir of life.
[00:51:35] Speaker B: Great. And you can drink that.
[00:51:38] Speaker E: Oh, you're kidding.
[00:51:39] Speaker B: Next week.
I hate you.
[00:51:42] Speaker A: Christina's in the barrel.
[00:51:46] Speaker C: It was amazing this time.
