[00:00:39] Speaker A: Hello everyone, and welcome back for another episode of the Crack Die podcast. My name is Matt. I play Twintallon on the show. I also am the GM of another show, a little Twitch show at Twitch TV, Crackdie. There I am running Haya and Shawn, Brent and Pete through the agents of Edgewatch Adventure Path. If you don't know who Bren or Pete are, you should check out the Twitch stream. They're great. It's a lot of fun. We haven't gotten very far in the first book yet, but it's been a lot of fun getting as far as we have. We put out content on that Twitch kind of randomly, but it typically is Saturday afternoons between one and four. And we do the agents of Edgewatch Adventure Path, or as we like to call it, Absalom and order show every three weeks on Saturday. So we just did it this past Saturday, which was August 21, and we will do it again in three weeks, which is September 11. So if you haven't seen it the last episode still up on Twitch, you can go check it out. Twitch tv, crackdie. It's not as fun as if you were there. You can't affect the results as you could if you're watching at the time, but maybe next time. So episode 94, that's what we got here. We're so close to 100, and as we approach 100, we also are approaching another milestone, which is the two year mark for this podcast. September 19 will mark the two year mark since we started. We put the first three episodes out on September 19 of 2019. And as with all anniversaries, it's a good time for reflection looking back on the things you've done well, the things that you know you could have done better and you know what to do about them moving forward.
So I looked it up, and the average podcast across the world has an average of 27 listens per episode. Now, some have 7 million listens per episode. So, you know, 27 is an average across all of those podcasts out there. And we have been lucky in that in the roughly 100 episodes we've put out so far. If you include the 93 plus the little half episodes here and there, we have over 35,000 total downloads, which is roughly 350 downloads per episode, which is excellent. But all of that is made possible by the generous donations of 13 people. 13 patrons on Patreon have made this whole show something viable, and we could not have done it without them. So I want to give a huge shout out, a huge thank you to those 13 people, because without these people, there would not be a crack die podcast. So thank you, Chris, Jason, Thomas, Duke, Celine, Shaka, David, Jeremy, Anwar, Doombeard, Cassandra, Mike, and Jacob. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you. Now, where do we go from here? Well, we'll have to think on it. We got six more episodes to go to figure out what's going to happen after 100. I'm sure Sean has something planned special for 100, at least I hope he does. Sean, if you're listening to this, I think maybe you should. Now would be the time. You got a couple weeks, figure it out. But until then, you loyal listener, where would you like to see us go? What other content would you like to see us produce? How would you like to see us grow? Because we want to grow.
I would love to do this as a career, but very few people get to do that. But I'd like to. But where would you like to see us go? Let us know. Tweet at us on the Twitter sphere. Send us an email. Hit us up on Twitch. I think we've got a YouTube channel where we're storing our old Twitch episodes. Can you message us there? Do it. Or if you are a patron, you can message us on Discord, because we have a specific patron discord for cracked eye patrons. And what I will say is that with 13 patrons, we are able to pay the hosting fees. We're able to, you know, maintain this thing that we do. But 13 patrons isn't enough to do a second show or to hire an editor to let us do other projects or to produce more content. So if you would like to see more content from us, if you like the things that we do, we would ask you very humbly to go to patreon.com cracked die podcast and become a patron. There are two levels. A two dollar or a five dollar level. If everybody who downloaded this episode pledged $5, we would be able to hire an editor that could not only make the content better, as they would be focusing on that and not sitting in my office after 11 hours being at work and trying not to fall asleep while editing another episode, which, if you didn't know, it takes like roughly 10 hours for my part. And I'm not the only person editing. Sean does edits. He gives it to me. I do edits. I hand it off to Haya. She makes it sound really good, doing all the soundscaping in the back, doing the intros and outros, you know, doing final edits, catching anything I've missed, polishing it up, making it sound, you know, pristine. So there are people here that put a lot of effort in. And it's not that we don't like doing this. I enjoy editing. It's nice. It's just. I wish I didn't have to cram it in after, you know, the nine to five and the long drive. So I'd like to be able to put my efforts to other things, creating more content, I don't know, doing more twitch, live streaming. There are other content creators that do, like, custom pathfinder stuff, so, like, custom classes or feats. Man, I got a lot of that stuff bounced around my head. So there. There is no threat in what I'm saying. If you do not contribute a dollar, we're probably going to still keep doing it. But this is it. This is the. The whole of what we're going to do. And. And it's only going to go for so long until we're done, and then that'll be it. Anyway, we'll see. We have six more episodes left to 100. We'll see how it goes. So without further ado, episode 94 of the Crack Die podcast, sitting on the dock of the Bay.
[00:06:33] Speaker B: Welcome to the 94th episode of the Cracked Die podcast.
[00:06:41] Speaker A: Double digit levels.
[00:06:43] Speaker C: I'm here.
[00:06:45] Speaker B: So at level ten, that means you guys are halfway to finishing this ap.
[00:06:53] Speaker D: Crazy hands.
[00:06:54] Speaker A: But we're not, though. We're only, like, the beginning of book three, right?
[00:06:58] Speaker B: Yeah.
I mean, you are.
[00:07:02] Speaker E: Book six is short.
[00:07:03] Speaker A: You know, it could be. Or it could mean that we're actually so, like, the thing about level 20 is, far too often I feel like level 20 is the reward for completing book six. It's like, well, cool. But I don't get to use any of these abilities because I don't get to unless I want to play beyond it. But this could mean that maybe for a decent port of book six, we're actually 20th level.
[00:07:24] Speaker E: Yeah, that would be really fun.
[00:07:26] Speaker B: I've been rereading book six, and let me tell you, it's crazy.
[00:07:32] Speaker A: Well, I guess we're gonna need to be 20th level.
[00:07:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:07:36] Speaker A: Certainly can't hurt.
[00:07:37] Speaker B: Now, being the magnanimous GM that I am.
[00:07:42] Speaker D: Magnanimous.
[00:07:44] Speaker B: You guys leveled up.
[00:07:46] Speaker D: Hell yeah, we did.
[00:07:48] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:07:49] Speaker B: So let's talk about level ten for everyone.
Let's start with Saraya.
[00:07:56] Speaker E: So, in the more fun things, let's see, I have a couple new formulas. So I now have some yellow musk poison, which fascinates people to the point where all they can do is try to figure out where it's coming from, which is hilarious to me.
I also have some.
[00:08:12] Speaker B: So wait a minute. So you have patchouli that you throw on the ground and everyone's like, what is that?
[00:08:18] Speaker E: Pretty much, they're just like, man, where is that coming from? I need more.
[00:08:24] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:08:25] Speaker E: Hilariously, I did not realize this when I was picking it out, but I also do have the mist form elixir, which it is the greater form. So when I have it, when I take it for five minutes, I gain concealment.
With the way Sean rolls, I'll never get hit again.
[00:08:41] Speaker D: Nice.
[00:08:41] Speaker B: Hopefully, can you hand that to other people?
[00:08:45] Speaker E: That I will absolutely need to double check because it is not a mutagen, it's an elixir. And the mutagenes, I think, are more specific for the crafter. The elixirs, much like elixirs of life and whatnot, are not. Yeah, that's a fun maybe. I also have a new class feet, which would be healing bombs. So I can now chuck an elixir of life at someone and it'll work.
[00:09:08] Speaker A: That's awesome.
[00:09:10] Speaker E: I'm so excited for that because we could have used it, like, two comments ago, like, whoa.
[00:09:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:18] Speaker E: And I can also, I now have quick identification. So I am a master of Arcana, so I can identify magical things as a three action.
[00:09:30] Speaker B: Turn.
[00:09:30] Speaker E: Basically, it takes me three actions instead of, like five minutes or something.
[00:09:33] Speaker B: Okay, that's cool. Yeah, yeah.
[00:09:35] Speaker E: That's pretty cool.
[00:09:36] Speaker B: Not bad. And you do get an attribute bonus, or you get four attribute bonuses at level ten. I got to.
[00:09:43] Speaker E: I got to boost my lovely, lovely attributes. So the ones that I boosted at 10th level are strength, dex con, and wisdom. So I actually have plus ones in strength and wisdom now because I had plus zeros up until this point.
[00:09:58] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:09:58] Speaker B: Okay. Which means when you go to punch someone in the face, it does one more damage.
[00:10:03] Speaker E: Yes, it does. I was also seriously looking at, like, the fix a lister, but I'm like, I also already have the handwraps, so I'll leave that. And that just means that then my dexterity and constitution are plus four s.
[00:10:14] Speaker B: Instead of plus threes.
[00:10:16] Speaker A: Whoop.
[00:10:17] Speaker B: Alright. I'm disappointed with that.
Not with the level up, but with you in general. So let's move to Haya and see what terrible things Brianna has brought upon me.
[00:10:30] Speaker D: I mean, it's understandable things, I think, but I. What do I know? So let's start with the least exciting, which are her ability boosts at level ten. I have four to choose from. I kind of went the same direction we always go. So I chose strength, dex con, and charisma. So currently, I'm sitting at a 20 strength, 16 dex, an 18 con, and an 18 charisma.
[00:10:58] Speaker A: Hot.
[00:10:58] Speaker D: So, yes, I am.
[00:11:01] Speaker B: That's disgusting.
[00:11:02] Speaker D: I am ready to explode many a watermelon between Brianna's thighs. And by watermelon, it's probably heads.
What else? Let's see.
[00:11:13] Speaker A: She's like a praying mantis. Anyway, go ahead.
[00:11:18] Speaker D: Exactly that.
At level ten, I also got a skill feet. I chose continual recovery, which basically means that instead of it being 1 hour before I can treat a person's wounds again, it takes ten minutes.
[00:11:37] Speaker B: Okay, nice.
[00:11:38] Speaker D: Which I think is nice.
And finally, at level ten, Brianna gets a class beat. I chose radiant blade spirit. It was either that or the quick block, but we thought this was a bit cooler. So what basically happens is that my ally that lives within the blade renews more power. And when I do my daily preparations, I can add the following property runes to the list of effects I can choose from. Flaming and any align properties which is an archic, axiomatic, holy or unholy? Since Brianna is a liberator of Ceren Ray, it would be holy. So, yeah, not too. Not too shabby for our. Our good friend Brianna.
[00:12:30] Speaker B: So Brianna can either have a flaming scimitar or a holy scimitar.
[00:12:34] Speaker A: She could also have a chaotic scimitar.
[00:12:36] Speaker B: On top of everything.
[00:12:37] Speaker D: That doesn't sound.
[00:12:38] Speaker A: Oh, well, yes.
[00:12:39] Speaker D: Yes, I can. Because she's chaotic good, isn't she?
[00:12:41] Speaker A: You could have.
[00:12:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:12:42] Speaker A: Yeah, that's anarchic or whatever it's called. But yeah, I don't know how because it only affects creatures of the opposite alignment. So I don't know how often that's gonna come into play. But you could do that.
[00:12:53] Speaker D: It could be fun. But let's not say we did. At least for right now.
[00:12:58] Speaker B: That's, again, not disappointed at the level up. Disappointed in my players.
[00:13:05] Speaker E: That's how you know we've made good choices.
[00:13:07] Speaker B: Here's the thing.
I don't know who is going to be more disturbing to find out. Twin talon or knife sword.
[00:13:17] Speaker E: Yeah, they might be equally pretty.
[00:13:19] Speaker B: Yeah. So let's.
Let's start with twin Talon. Matt, how are you ruining my day?
[00:13:25] Speaker A: Well, what a loaded statement.
So let me tell you how I'm ruining your day. Specifically. So first, ability scores I added to dexterity, constitution, intelligence, and wisdom, which brings Dex to 20 or a plus five. Bonus. Constitution's an 18, so a plus four. Intelligence is 16, so a plus three. Wisdom is a 14, so a plus two. And increasing my intelligence, I also got an extra skill in doing so I realized I had double paid for one skill previously. So I have trained now crafting and diplomacy, which were not trained previously. I also got a skill increase because I'm a rogue, and I get that every level, which I put into deception. So that is now master level, I got a skill feat called foil senses, which basically what it does is when I take the stealth action, I am automatically presumed to be also hiding from other senses. So, like scent or anything like that. It's not just visual, it's all senses, is what he's hiding from. The class feed I took is the one that I think Shawn's maybe gonna vomit most about, which is precise debilitation. Precise debilitation adds two more options to my debilitating strike. The lesser of the two is I can make a target flat footed till the end of my next turn. So if someone was gonna be flat footed temporarily, I could basically just keep them flat footed. If they weren't going to be flat footed next turn, I typically don't have problems with that, but it could come up. And then the other one is all of my attacks do plus two d six damage.
So pretty good, I think, on the level up. I think that was everything. Sean, you okay?
Sean? Has he passed out? Someone check on him.
[00:15:08] Speaker B: I'm still here.
[00:15:11] Speaker A: Oh, also, I get another language. I haven't decided what that is yet.
[00:15:16] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, let me know what language you're gonna pick up, you know? All right. Knife, sword, or. Rob, what did you do?
[00:15:25] Speaker C: Well, I'll start off with the mundane things. I now have a ten strength, 18 dexterity, ten constitution, 18 intelligence, 16 wisdom, and a 20 charisma. And then we'll jump to the only other thing that I think Sean cares about. I now have the ability to cast gravity well eleven times.
[00:15:43] Speaker D: Oh, my God.
That's amazing.
[00:15:51] Speaker A: Sean, get off the ledge. He's gonna suck you off of it with his gravity well.
[00:15:54] Speaker E: Yeah, no.
Wish you would step back from that ledge, my friend.
[00:16:00] Speaker C: I also picked up a spell I like to call land crackin'but, the book decided to call it black tentacles. I don't know.
[00:16:07] Speaker A: I like landcracking.
[00:16:09] Speaker D: That's fun.
[00:16:09] Speaker E: Landkracking's pretty good. We have landcracken reactive murder. What else?
[00:16:15] Speaker B: Land crackin and your class and skill feat, please.
[00:16:20] Speaker C: Well, my class feat was getting two more signature spells, so that's how I got gravity well up to eleven times.
[00:16:26] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:16:26] Speaker C: You're lucky. I almost miscounted and thought it was 19.
[00:16:29] Speaker A: I'm cool with that.
[00:16:30] Speaker D: I mean, yeah, but poor Sean.
[00:16:33] Speaker C: And then for my skill feat, I took, basically I can identify anything. Oh, shared identification. So now when I identify things, I rarely misidentify them.
[00:16:44] Speaker A: What's it called? Shared identification.
[00:16:46] Speaker C: Assured.
[00:16:47] Speaker A: Oh, got it.
[00:16:48] Speaker C: Sorry, I'm assured on my identification.
[00:16:50] Speaker A: Got it.
[00:16:51] Speaker C: I'm sure some of the greek word no, just kidding.
[00:16:54] Speaker E: Shared identification is just like the invention of Reddit.
[00:16:57] Speaker B: Just like.
[00:16:57] Speaker E: Hey, guys, what's this?
[00:16:59] Speaker B: As well as everyone's animal companions and familiars also got hit point increases and all that stuff, so all that good stuff.
I'm just gonna have to start throwing the elite template.
[00:17:14] Speaker A: Wasn't that what happened in the hag encounter? They all were elite.
[00:17:17] Speaker B: Yes, they were.
[00:17:20] Speaker A: It's fine. Sorry. I can throw healing potions into us now, so it's okay, I guess.
[00:17:25] Speaker B: True.
[00:17:27] Speaker E: There's just, you know, like a burst of red mist. All of a sudden you feel a lot better.
[00:17:32] Speaker B: There's a burst of red mist when I splatter someone, and then a burst of red mist when all of it comes back into your body from the potion.
[00:17:40] Speaker E: It's just like a rewind effect.
[00:17:46] Speaker B: Blood transfusion. Boom. Anyway, when we last left you guys, you had just handily defeated some pirates or slavers. You're not quite sure, you haven't really examined them yet. Twin Talon had gone up to their captive, unlocked him, removed his Hannibal lecter styled mask, and was starting to talk to him when I rudely ended the episode.
[00:18:12] Speaker D: It's true that you did.
[00:18:14] Speaker B: So now that we're in exploration mode, let's chat at what everyone is doing. Christine, what is Saraya doing when she's.
[00:18:26] Speaker E: Not cradling Jasper like a baby and tickling his belly and telling him how cute he was as an elf.
I think she's shaking down the sneaks.
[00:18:36] Speaker B: Okay. And hiya. What is Briana doing? Hmm.
[00:18:40] Speaker D: She's probably making sure that everybody is okay.
[00:18:43] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:18:44] Speaker D: And if not, she will sit down and kind of tend to her wounds. And she is not all that great.
[00:18:51] Speaker B: No, she is not. Okay. Are you treating wounds on yourself or are you going to cast your focus spell?
[00:18:59] Speaker D: I think I will treat wounds on myself. Since then, I got a shiny new ability.
[00:19:03] Speaker B: Okay, Matt, what is twin Talon doing? Now that he's diplomatic, he's going to.
[00:19:08] Speaker A: Be talking to the prisoner, seeing, you know, what's going on in the town where they are, because we still don't really know that that kind of stuff.
[00:19:16] Speaker B: Okay. And knife, sword. What are you doing?
[00:19:20] Speaker C: Wondering if anybody else thinks that Saraya's relationship with her bird is getting weird.
[00:19:27] Speaker E: Oh, it's always been weird.
[00:19:29] Speaker B: Oh, boy.
[00:19:31] Speaker E: It's not that weird. I'm very. I have very specifically just said that she treats him like a child. Nothing else.
[00:19:40] Speaker D: It's her baby.
[00:19:41] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:19:44] Speaker C: And I'm just gonna start exploring the general area near us.
[00:19:48] Speaker B: Okay. Knife. Sword. Give me a perception check. All right, Soraya, give me a perception check. Brianna, give me a treat wound.
[00:19:59] Speaker E: Although, while we're making these rolls, I will say, if anybody wants to draw fan art of unreasonably handsome Jasper, I am fine with that.
[00:20:06] Speaker D: Oh, my.
[00:20:08] Speaker B: I think our cobol friend should draw reasonably handsome Jasper.
[00:20:14] Speaker D: I'll see what she can do. Especially since she doesn't know if elves are attractive or not. The only attractive looking creature she drew was pythagoras that one time.
[00:20:26] Speaker B: Rip pythagoras, pour one out for a homie. Anyway, uh, all right, so, Matt, this. This gentleman is shaking your hand very vigorously. Oh. Oh, thank you so much. My name is Lepin Diesk. L e p p I n d e e s k. Okay. And this man is fairly sturdy looking, stout, if you will. He has wind and sun distressed skin, as if he spends a lot of time on the sea. And he says, oh, this you. You are in cypress Point.
We are a small fishing village on the northwest coast of the steaming sea.
We're between two large countries of Ravna and Nadal. We're very simple, simple fishing town in kind of. We're still in the ravenel country, but we are right on the border. That's not the point.
A group of slavers recently arrived on a ship. I believe it's called the genie's smile, and it's moored to appear in our town.
I've heard rumors that they've taken our town's leaders hostage at one of the town's oldest and strongest structures, the nine shield smokehouse. I've seen several of my neighbors rounded up and brought to the pier, and others were just slaughtered by archers or those enormous boars that the slavers use to chase us down. I ran, but the boar managed to chase me down, and I was captured. I also overheard some of my captors talking about the best place to start a fire would most. That would most likely burn the whole town down. And. And I think they decided that there was a boathouse that they could use. There is a boathouse in the middle of the town. I just don't know if it would burn very well. Can you? Lots of my friends and fellow townsfolk are definitely prisoners in the genie smile, if you could, please. Please help them and rescue them. And then I, you know, obviously check to see if. If any of our leaders are in the smokehouse or. I don't know, there. If there's a fire that could wipe out the whole town. I just don't know what's going on.
[00:22:58] Speaker E: Okay, all right. Okay. All right, all right, all right.
[00:23:01] Speaker A: Calm down, buddy. We're gonna help you out. Which. Which way is the boathouse from here? And which way is the smokehouse?
Also the pier.
[00:23:10] Speaker B: They're. They're all to the north. You're just on the outskirts. This is where we all live.
[00:23:15] Speaker A: And where were they taking you? They were taking you to the east of here.
[00:23:18] Speaker B: They were doing a sweep through the rest of the houses to make sure no one was still here or hiding. But now that they've taken everyone, that they're going to load us all onto the boats and who knows what.
[00:23:33] Speaker D: Okay, well, I guess we should keep.
[00:23:35] Speaker C: Going before we go check the dwarf for keys.
[00:23:40] Speaker B: What?
[00:23:41] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, we should definitely check the. All of them for everything.
[00:23:45] Speaker B: Right? And. And Surrey? Oh, was doing that. I just wanted to get some of the exposition out of the way real quick. Surreya, a bunch of people rolled things. So, knife, sword. What did you roll for your perception?
[00:23:58] Speaker C: 31.
[00:23:59] Speaker B: 31. As you walk around this small village area, you notice that everything that he has said is true. It looks like you find some bodies of what look like people running from something. You see drag marks, like someone was digging their heels in and just dragged unceremoniously somewhere. A bunch of the houses have their doors broken down. There's still fire going in the hearths, but overall, it just seems like a kind of a new ghost.
[00:24:32] Speaker D: Oh, boy.
[00:24:33] Speaker B: Brianna, you rolled some treat wounds.
[00:24:37] Speaker D: I did.
[00:24:38] Speaker B: In the ten minutes while you were getting information, what happened?
[00:24:43] Speaker D: I guess I was not paying as well attention as I could have been as I rolled two ones.
[00:24:49] Speaker B: Oh, so you only healed twelve points?
[00:24:54] Speaker D: Exactly.
[00:24:55] Speaker B: Again, it's better than nothing. But you're still. Still down, right?
[00:25:00] Speaker D: And if you guys are still looking over things, if it's gonna take another ten minutes, I would not mind doing it again. Unless if somebody else also needs treatment.
[00:25:12] Speaker B: Everyone else is full, I'll tell you that. So it's just you.
[00:25:16] Speaker E: Cool?
[00:25:17] Speaker D: Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.
[00:25:19] Speaker B: All right, Saraya, so I have a.
[00:25:22] Speaker E: 30 to my perception. I'm rifling mostly through the sneaks, clothes and stuff and see if they have anything useful.
[00:25:30] Speaker B: Okay, so I'm gonna put anything that you want me to put into the group loot. And you guys can decide later. Okay, so on each of the three sneaks, you find, each one has a blood seeker beak.
[00:25:43] Speaker A: Which does what?
[00:25:44] Speaker B: It is a talisman. This long hollowed proboscis is harvested from the notorious blood seeker beast and drips a trickle of blood. Activate. It's a one action. You hit a flat footed creature with the affixed weapon. When you activate the beak, you deal an extra d four precision damage on your roll. If you deal sneak attack damage to the creature, you also deal one d four persistent bleed damage.
[00:26:11] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:26:14] Speaker B: You actually have five of those total. Each one has three daggers. So you find nine daggers if you want them shiny.
[00:26:24] Speaker A: Yep. In a bag.
[00:26:25] Speaker B: All right.
[00:26:26] Speaker D: I'm sure we can sell some of those.
[00:26:28] Speaker B: You find three sets of average manacles and three sets of keys to those manacles.
[00:26:38] Speaker A: Okay. Bag. Bag. Bag.
[00:26:41] Speaker E: Those we can keep.
[00:26:42] Speaker B: They are all wearing a leather armor. Nothing seems too special about them.
[00:26:48] Speaker A: Okay. Bag.
[00:26:49] Speaker B: Okay. And you find three rapiers that I'll tell you that they are. They have. You look at them closely enough, and you see that they are plus one rapiers.
[00:27:02] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:27:03] Speaker D: It's a shame. Didn't anwire's character favor a Rapier?
[00:27:07] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:27:07] Speaker B: Yep. Rip. And they all have regular thieves tools. Okay, so all of that is going in the bag. And then on the dwarf, he's wearing chainmail. He has a plus one flail, three javelins, another set of average manacles, and keys to the manacles.
All of the manacles, as you look at them, are inscribed with the insignia the scarlet triad.
[00:27:38] Speaker A: Oh, surprise, surprise.
[00:27:39] Speaker D: Aha.
[00:27:41] Speaker B: I know.
[00:27:42] Speaker C: Surprise, surprise, surprise.
[00:27:46] Speaker A: That's right.
All right. All of it goes in the bag. I don't think anything in there that we. Unless anyone wants a plus one flail to carry around, I don't think anything we need to specifically equip. No. All right, cool.
[00:28:01] Speaker B: And when you guys get some downtime, you can pull the runes out if you want. Again.
[00:28:06] Speaker A: Mm hmm.
[00:28:07] Speaker B: I just spelt flawn to try and. But I meant flail.
[00:28:11] Speaker E: That takes something.
[00:28:12] Speaker A: Plus one flan. It's delicious.
[00:28:14] Speaker C: Yeah, but he had a flan in his pocket. Wouldn't that be messy?
[00:28:18] Speaker D: It would. It really would.
[00:28:21] Speaker A: Egg custard. Mmm.
[00:28:23] Speaker B: Okay. That's what you find. This guy gave you three options of places to go.
[00:28:29] Speaker E: Well, they're also the north.
[00:28:30] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:28:31] Speaker E: So northern hope.
[00:28:33] Speaker B: All right, so you guys head to the north. Lepin thanks you again, profusely, for saving his life and getting him out of the shackles, and he runs away.
[00:28:46] Speaker A: Okay, that's fair.
I would vote that we go to the boathouse first, to stop the town from burning down.
Then I kind of think that assaulting the ship would be best. Because if we can stop the ship from leaving, then when we circle around to the. To the nine shields place, nine shield smokehouse, there's, like, nowhere for them to fall back to.
[00:29:09] Speaker E: Yeah, I agree with that.
[00:29:11] Speaker A: Now. Now, that being said, I'm sure the module did not expect us to do that. So we're gonna find the big boss at, like, the fireplace at the bonus.
Yeah, and then the other places will seem easy afterward, but we'll see.
[00:29:24] Speaker C: Could we start a captive uprising on the ship?
[00:29:28] Speaker A: Well, if we can take the ship, then we could equip the people there with weapons. So that if we attack the nine shield smokehouse and anybody escapes and tries to run back to the ship, they can grab them.
[00:29:39] Speaker E: We have more daggers than we know what to do with.
[00:29:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
At the very least, we can get them all daggers.
Yep.
[00:29:47] Speaker B: All right, so you head to the boathouse.
[00:29:50] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:29:51] Speaker B: And as you head to the boathouse, you notice that the town is eerily quiet. There is no hustle and bustle. You hear the wind from the sea and that's about it. You don't see or hear anyone. This wooden building that you. When you come across it. The boathouse is one of the largest in the. In the town. It extends over the water line on old pilings. That's it. I have tried to make this as wysiwyg as possible. What you see is what you get.
[00:30:24] Speaker D: WysIwyg? That is something I've not heard.
[00:30:26] Speaker E: Oh, yeah.
Since I was larping.
[00:30:32] Speaker B: I'm sorry. I had to go back to my roots for a minute.
[00:30:36] Speaker A: Imagine your roots are showing.
[00:30:38] Speaker B: Oh, no, I just dyed them.
[00:30:41] Speaker A: So Twintellen is going to head to the east, if that's okay. Just to check out the other side of the building, make sure there's not just, like, creeps hanging out over there or another door we have to be aware of.
[00:30:50] Speaker B: All right.
[00:30:51] Speaker D: Creeps and creeps.
[00:30:52] Speaker B: Uh, Christine, what are you doing? Or what is Soraya doing?
[00:30:56] Speaker E: If he's trying to make sure, like, scope things out, I don't necessarily want to go right up to the doors already. I'm gonna send Jasper her up, take a. You know, do a little bit of a loop to see if there's anything nearby. Anybody, like, hiding out or.
[00:31:10] Speaker B: Sure. Brianna. Hiya. What is Brianna doing?
[00:31:15] Speaker D: I feel like she wouldn't leave. She doesn't want to leave these squishies unattended. But she doesn't want twin talent to go off by herself. So she'll kind of like step up in front of them, maybe meander a little bit and have her shield up and just kind of scanning about and being as quiet as humanly possible.
[00:31:34] Speaker B: All right. And knife, sword, I'm gonna lay low. Okay.
[00:31:41] Speaker C: And try to. Yep, just lay low.
[00:31:43] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:31:44] Speaker C: Be quiet.
[00:31:45] Speaker B: Sounds good.
So you're gonna stealth, give me a. All right, so knife, sword, give me a stealth.
[00:31:50] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:31:50] Speaker B: Brianna, Soraya and twin Talon, give me a perception.
[00:31:54] Speaker D: All right. All right.
[00:31:56] Speaker C: 34 for stealth.
[00:31:57] Speaker B: All right.
[00:31:58] Speaker E: 25 perception.
[00:32:00] Speaker B: Great.
[00:32:01] Speaker A: I'm sorry, did you ask me for a stealth or perception?
[00:32:03] Speaker B: Perception. All right, well, are you, you're stealthing around, are you?
[00:32:06] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm, I mean, I'm pretty much always stealthy, so.
[00:32:09] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, go ahead and stealth for.
[00:32:12] Speaker D: Me, 26 perception for Brianna.
[00:32:15] Speaker B: Okay. And twin Talon, what is your stealth?
[00:32:18] Speaker A: I don't to two, so I got a 23.
[00:32:20] Speaker B: All right.
So no one sees anything there. Everything looks good again. On the ground you see drag marks, you see dried blood, you see Twintelle. And as you around the corner, you see that there's a body kind of, the waves are lapping it up against the little bit of sand and like docks.
[00:32:47] Speaker A: So it's on the, on the coast there like where the water meets the sand.
[00:32:50] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:32:51] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:32:51] Speaker B: Yeah, but other than that, everything looks, looks clear.
[00:32:57] Speaker E: Are there windows? All I can see is like the things for the doors and I can't see the outside of the building. So there's windows anywhere?
[00:33:03] Speaker B: There are no windows, but. Oh, you said you sent Jasper flying up, right?
[00:33:09] Speaker E: Yeah, I sent him to like go up and like do like a wide loop.
[00:33:13] Speaker B: There is no roof really over top of this. So you can see what Jasper sees, right.
[00:33:20] Speaker E: He can come back and tell me he can talk.
[00:33:22] Speaker B: Okay. So he flies over and comes back and he tells you that there is a small, what looks like a closet that does have a roof over it, but for the majority of the area in, it just looks empty with water lapping against the pylons, holding up like a walkway over some water. And there are some bodies in there as well that are just in the water. Pools of blood around them draw sharks.
[00:33:53] Speaker E: Yeah. Yeah, I assume he just kind of like lands on everybody. It's just like oddish water.
[00:34:00] Speaker A: So twin town will call, like not call out, but kind of like harsh whisper. Everybody else, two doors. There's a dead body. I'm gonna check it out. And twin town is going to try to approach the body at the water's edge. Kind of pull it up on land and see, see if we can tell how they died. Pat them down, see if there's anything identifying on them or if they have anything interesting.
[00:34:25] Speaker B: All right, Saraya, what are you gonna do, do next while twin Talon is going to investigate that body?
[00:34:31] Speaker E: Good question. I'm gonna see if I can peek into the doors.
[00:34:35] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:34:36] Speaker E: Are there any, can I check for traps or anything because I don't wanna.
[00:34:40] Speaker B: Sure. You can move up to the doors and use thievery. Haya, what would you like to do?
[00:34:46] Speaker D: I will also wish to move up. I think Brianna will also follow along with with twin Talon to try and support as best she can.
Although there's a part of me that really does want to keep healing. But it's okay. Let's keep going.
[00:35:01] Speaker B: All right, so as Saraya, what is your thievery?
[00:35:06] Speaker E: 27.
[00:35:07] Speaker B: And which set of doors are you moving towards? Are you moving to the ones directly north or the ones to the east? Because there's two sets of double doors.
[00:35:18] Speaker E: I'll try the closer ones. So the ones to the east.
[00:35:20] Speaker B: Okay, so what was your thievery?
[00:35:22] Speaker E: 27.
[00:35:23] Speaker B: All right, so as Brianna and Twintalon approach, the dead body and twin talon drags it up onto the the shore. You see multiple stab wounds in the stomach and leg area as well as part of their skull. Is dentist.
[00:35:43] Speaker A: Somebody really wanted to kill this person.
[00:35:45] Speaker B: You also notice that one leg is missing and there is a ragged bite mark.
[00:35:51] Speaker A: If I pat him down, is there anything interesting or notable?
[00:35:54] Speaker B: No, no. Anything of value has probably been taken or is at the bottom of the sea.
[00:36:01] Speaker D: I was just going to suggest if there's a way to confirm cause of death with a medicine check or something of this.
[00:36:07] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. Give me a medicine check. I'm down for that.
[00:36:11] Speaker A: Medicine check. Do do do do.
[00:36:14] Speaker D: It's probably redundant but just to double check. 25.
[00:36:18] Speaker B: Okay, so at the 25, definitely gut wounds are terrible and painful. Very slow and very slow. But the crack, you see, like I said, the dented skull, that probably knocked someone unconscious and then they were thrown in the water. So they probably drowned. Just judging by the looks, Saraya, you don't detect any traps on the door?
[00:36:44] Speaker E: Oh, Jasper didn't say there was anybody inside, right?
[00:36:47] Speaker B: That's correct.
[00:36:49] Speaker E: I will crack one open and peek inside.
[00:36:54] Speaker B: All right, go ahead. You can open the door.
[00:36:56] Speaker E: Yeah. There's a bunch of wooden planks and bottoms. Do we want to take a look around inside or not yet?
[00:37:05] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean I think we should, we should enter. Can't hang out here. All day.
[00:37:09] Speaker D: Do we know that it's safe? For certain.
[00:37:12] Speaker C: Peel your eyes though.
[00:37:13] Speaker E: I will. I don't see anyone. Jasper didn't either. There's a closet he mentioned.
[00:37:18] Speaker A: We can. Once we're done on this, once we're done checking the body, we can enter on this side.
[00:37:22] Speaker B: Okay.
Yeah. So just because I'm terrible this Brianna and Twintalon. There are doors directly to your west. And then there is a single door to your northwest.
[00:37:34] Speaker D: Where do you want to go to? I follow your lead.
[00:37:37] Speaker A: Let's go to the northern door.
[00:37:39] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:37:40] Speaker D: Lead on.
[00:37:41] Speaker A: Okay, so Twintown will carefully walk in stealthy stealth down the pier until he gets to the northern door. Teisani, which I haven't. I didn't really describe, but Daisani is kind of hopping along behind Brianna.
[00:37:55] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:37:56] Speaker A: Just kind of staying near her because that's what Twintallon told Taysani to do. And yeah. Twin town will check the doors for any signs of traps or anything else. And then if we don't find anything, he'll open it.
[00:38:09] Speaker B: All right.
I will make a secret roll for you.
[00:38:14] Speaker A: Great.
[00:38:15] Speaker B: Everything looks clear.
[00:38:17] Speaker A: Great.
Open the door.
[00:38:19] Speaker B: So since both of groups have opened doors. Now, the walls of this warehouse extend over the water. A walkway lines the eastern edge of the room and another in the southwest. But most of this walkway has been smashed. Only the southernmost edge of the room is floored with wooden planks.
[00:38:39] Speaker A: So it looks like the closet is the western side. It's maybe 20 by 20 or something like that. Twin Talon is going to make his way along the walkway to the south and then along the walkway to the west and then up to the double doors that are on the inside here.
[00:38:56] Speaker B: All right.
[00:38:57] Speaker A: Unless something stops us from doing that.
[00:39:00] Speaker B: Yeah. All right, let's. Let me. Let me find out. Brianna, it looks like you're following along behind twin Talon. Is that correct?
[00:39:06] Speaker D: Yep.
[00:39:07] Speaker B: All right, Soraya, you're the going to those double doors to the west. And knife, sword. What are you doing?
[00:39:13] Speaker C: I'm gonna follow Saraya in. Watch her back.
[00:39:16] Speaker B: Alright, so as you are all moving along these wooden slats. Everyone give me a perception roll, please.
[00:39:27] Speaker D: Oh boy.
[00:39:29] Speaker A: Is it vision based?
[00:39:31] Speaker B: It is vision based.
Saraya, what did you get?
[00:39:35] Speaker E: 30.
[00:39:36] Speaker B: Okay.
Knife, sword. What did you get?
[00:39:39] Speaker C: I got a 20.
[00:39:40] Speaker B: Twin Talon, 20 817. Okay, so as you are all walking around Saraya, you notice that the water is hitting things in certain areas. Like outside of where the pylons would be. And just as you notice that, you see three large creatures appear from out of the water, jumping at you jumping. Jumping out of the water by hauling.
[00:40:16] Speaker E: Themselves onto the planks, like.
[00:40:19] Speaker B: Like a shark breaching, trying to bite and snag you and drag you into the water.
[00:40:25] Speaker A: What the hell is that?
[00:40:28] Speaker D: Sharknado.
[00:40:29] Speaker B: Let's let's. Let's roll some initiative, guys.
[00:40:33] Speaker A: It's got, like, a humanoid nose. I don't understand what that is, and it's gross.
[00:40:37] Speaker B: The nose is what bothers you.
[00:40:39] Speaker E: Okay, look.
[00:40:40] Speaker A: Well, it's all kinds of creepy. It's got two large fingernails, maybe three. Unclear. Three fingers on humanoid like arms. Big, frilled, bony head, mouthful of sharp, like, anglerfish teeth. Black, soulless eyes.
[00:40:55] Speaker B: Like a doll's eyes.
[00:40:57] Speaker A: Yeah, like a. Like an armored back, and then just like a person's nose on their face.
[00:41:03] Speaker B: Okay, what did everyone get for their initiatives?
[00:41:10] Speaker D: 32.
[00:41:12] Speaker B: Uh, knife, sword. What did you get?
[00:41:14] Speaker C: 29.
[00:41:15] Speaker B: All right, not bad, not bad.
Twin talon. What did you get?
[00:41:21] Speaker A: So, with a bonus, eight higher than knife swords, I got a 27.
[00:41:25] Speaker B: Okay, not bad.
[00:41:28] Speaker A: Which is. Which is two less just gets. Ambush. Keep score.
[00:41:34] Speaker B: And Surrey. Oh.
[00:41:36] Speaker E: 26.
[00:41:38] Speaker B: 26.
So let's begin some combat. Brianna, you are going first. There are three of these creatures, one directly to your north trying to leap out and eat tasani. There's one directly to your southwest trying to leap up and eat knife sword. There's one directly to your west that is just trying to scrabble up on to the dot or the wood slats there.
[00:42:10] Speaker A: And for our listeners, the two to the southwest and west are across water, so it's not like it's a straight shot for her to get to either of them.
[00:42:18] Speaker D: Correct?
[00:42:18] Speaker B: Correct.
[00:42:19] Speaker D: Okay. I'm primarily melee based, so I see something coming to my sister in arms. I'm gonna call her, because Asani is often commanded to hang out with me and flank with me. So I'm gonna defend my girl.
[00:42:35] Speaker B: All right, they are enough out of the water that you have to jump to the water to fight them. Hit them here. Yes.
[00:42:44] Speaker D: How is a 40?
[00:42:46] Speaker A: Holy shit.
[00:42:47] Speaker B: Oh, my.
[00:42:49] Speaker D: Yeah, I have a plus 21 now, so.
[00:42:51] Speaker B: Jeez.
Ten higher.
That is a critical hit.
[00:42:59] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:43:00] Speaker D: That's a way to start. Yeah.
All right, all right, all right.
[00:43:06] Speaker B: Oh, also, at the start of your day, you didn't tell me what you did with your sword.
[00:43:11] Speaker D: Hmm?
I kissed it. I took it out for a date.
[00:43:16] Speaker B: What?
[00:43:18] Speaker D: Oh, you meant, like, preparation, right?
[00:43:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:43:23] Speaker D: Yeah. Thanks. Don't shame me. Um, I think I would have asked the belated ally within to be a holy or to make the simitar holy weapon.
[00:43:35] Speaker B: Okay, cool. I just wanted to add that onto your weapon as well. So.
[00:43:40] Speaker D: Thank you. So the critical success card says, carve your initials. Normal damage. Sadly, the target is so humiliated, it can do nothing but attack you. At the end of each of its turns, it can attempt a will save to end this effect. So it will attack nobody else but me.
[00:44:02] Speaker B: Okay, which is what you want things to do.
[00:44:05] Speaker D: Exactly.
[00:44:05] Speaker B: All right.
[00:44:06] Speaker A: Not only that, but it can do nothing else but attack you, right?
[00:44:09] Speaker D: Correct.
[00:44:10] Speaker A: Which means it can't move, it can't do any special abilities. It's to three attacks per round against your 33 if you have the shield up ac at this point.
[00:44:20] Speaker D: Correct. So it takes 18 points of damage.
[00:44:24] Speaker B: Oh, boy. Okay. Oh, okay. So it's only holy.
[00:44:29] Speaker A: Well, no, no, I'm just. I'm not making a choice for her. I'm just saying disrupting only works against undead. That's my whole statement.
[00:44:37] Speaker D: I got it at the beginning of my. My was to make it a holy weapon.
[00:44:43] Speaker B: Okay, so you do eleven points of slashing and five points of good for good. And good damage only affects evil creatures. Gotcha.
All right, so damage done.
[00:45:04] Speaker D: For my next trick, I feel like Brianna would have seen these creatures also hop up onto the opposite bank. And she will curse herself for not going to protect the squishies. So for her second action, she will draw a javelin.
[00:45:19] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:45:20] Speaker D: And for a final one, she will throw.
[00:45:22] Speaker B: Okay. And I'm assuming this is your plus one striking, returning javelin of awesomeness.
[00:45:28] Speaker D: Of course.
[00:45:29] Speaker B: Okay. Ugh.
[00:45:30] Speaker D: I rolled a two for a 19.
[00:45:33] Speaker B: A 19 will regular miss.
[00:45:36] Speaker D: Check your point.
[00:45:37] Speaker B: Yeah. You have one.
[00:45:38] Speaker D: Let's do it.
[00:45:39] Speaker B: We eat the hero. Point, reroll, second attack, same thing.
[00:45:47] Speaker D: 19. Never mind.
[00:45:48] Speaker B: That's okay. It's still just a regular miss. It is now one of these creatures turns, and it is the one closest to Saraya. And knife sword.
So knife sword, you are flat footed to this creature because it is attacking out of the water.
And so is soraya.
[00:46:13] Speaker A: Sorry. Is also attacking out of the water.
[00:46:15] Speaker B: Uh, yes.
[00:46:16] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:46:18] Speaker E: I jumped in, I joined. Whatever these creatures are.
[00:46:22] Speaker A: You guys even know? You know? Do you know what you're doing?
[00:46:24] Speaker B: So it's going to attempt to bite knife sword, and we'll see how well I can do this.
It's a total of 23. Does that hit you?
[00:46:41] Speaker C: No, but as a reaction, can I swim down its gullet?
[00:46:46] Speaker B: No, unfortunately.
[00:46:48] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:46:50] Speaker B: Miss sad that it missed its first meal of the day. It's going to snap its jaws at Saraya.
Does a 24 hit you?
[00:47:01] Speaker E: No.
[00:47:02] Speaker B: All right.
And then for its final attack, it will swing its claw at Saraya 25.
[00:47:16] Speaker E: Also no.
[00:47:17] Speaker B: Boo, you stink.
Knife. Sword. It is your turn.
[00:47:24] Speaker C: All right.
So, wanted to bite me a.
I've got eleven casts. Why not?
[00:47:34] Speaker B: Where are you putting the gravity well?
[00:47:36] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:47:38] Speaker C: 510 15. 2025 30. I can't get both of them.
[00:47:43] Speaker A: Well, I mean, like the one near us. We can't fight it if it's not there.
[00:47:48] Speaker C: Right, but it could wait till it's time coming at. But no, I was thinking getting rid of the one near me.
[00:47:53] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, do whatever you want to the ones on your side. I'm just saying, on our side, we're gonna go before it and we won't be able to do anything if it's in the water.
[00:48:00] Speaker C: It's a 30 foot radius, so no matter where I put it, it's gonna grab both of them.
[00:48:08] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:48:08] Speaker C: What if I shove it in the corner down there?
Like, like the bottom? Like just enough to get that one next to us. There we go. That doesn't grab anybody. Yeah, I think that.
[00:48:19] Speaker B: Nope, it doesn't. So you place the center of the gravity well to the south west, southeast. Sorry.
Now let's see how well this creature does as a reflex, save 25 27 newly.
Oh, so it fails, which means it moves 15ft towards the center. So that's 510 15 and it's partially pulled up onto the dock of the way.
[00:49:01] Speaker C: And then just for good measure, we'll send a magic missile its way.
It's on the third, 3rd level.
[00:49:09] Speaker B: Third level magic missile.
Pew pew, pew, pew.
[00:49:14] Speaker C: Back, back, I say.
[00:49:16] Speaker B: And you deal five points of damage to it.
Next up is twin Talon.
[00:49:25] Speaker A: All right, twin Talon is gonna diving.
[00:49:29] Speaker B: In the water heroically and fighting.
[00:49:32] Speaker A: I mean, I could, but instead, Twin Talons is gonna walk to the north along the dock and attack this weird critter.
25 to hit a.
[00:49:48] Speaker B: It will. Is it flat footed to you?
[00:49:51] Speaker A: It is, yes.
[00:49:52] Speaker B: Then it will hit.
[00:49:53] Speaker A: All right, so because it's flat footed, I'm gonna use debilitating strike to make all of my attacks do two d, six more damage.
Now the white, the one saving grace is, if I'm reading it correctly, the way to billeting strike is, is it applies that after the attack.
So it will apply to any additional attacks I make this round or next round, but it doesn't apply to this specific attack.
[00:50:20] Speaker B: Okay.
Okay.
[00:50:23] Speaker A: I mean, small, small favors, right? All right, so the normal damage is 18 plus five precision, for a total of 23 points of damage.
[00:50:39] Speaker B: All right?
[00:50:41] Speaker A: And then he will try to attack it again for a 30 total. That will hit okay, so with the second debilitation, I'm going to apply enfeebled one.
[00:50:57] Speaker B: Okay, nice.
[00:50:59] Speaker A: And so it's so 17 normal damage and 14 precision damage is a total of 31 damage. Oh, the second attack. And then Taysani is going to attack it.
[00:51:16] Speaker B: Okay, you have one more action, don't you?
[00:51:21] Speaker A: Nope. Move, attack. Attack.
[00:51:23] Speaker B: Oh. Move, attack. Yes.
[00:51:24] Speaker C: One plus two, plus one, plus one.
[00:51:27] Speaker A: And Taysani's is a 20. It's not flat footed to her, so.
[00:51:31] Speaker B: Yeah, unfortunately, that will miss. That's fine. Uh, okay, Saraya, it is your turn.
[00:51:39] Speaker E: I'm gonna try and recall some knowledge, seeing as the one that was near us has been dragged away a bit.
[00:51:46] Speaker B: Okay, give me a nature check, please.
[00:51:50] Speaker E: All right. Nature is a nat. 20 for a 33.
[00:51:55] Speaker B: Success. This is indeed called a cruth. A cruth, sometimes called crocodile eater, are fast and vicious hunters of bogs and wetlands. While they are known to hunt and eat crocodiles, alligators, and virtually any creature with flesh, their favorite prey are lizardfolk, boggards and dinosaurs.
[00:52:16] Speaker A: Ooh.
[00:52:17] Speaker B: Looking at you to sign she can't attack him. Right. Cruths are found alone or in packs. Male cruths are solitary and territorial creatures, fierce, bold, and bloodthirsty. Female crooths, on the other hand, are likely to shy away from potential predators, but swiftly turn violent when their brood is threatened. Because their offspring are so vulnerable, female cruths gather in packs to raise their young, sending smaller groups to hunt food while the rest watches the brood. Cruths mate only once every four or five years, and the mating process is a curiously gruesome spectacle. An entire pack of females will hunt as a group for a lone male cruth, claiming their pride in an orgastic frenzy that can last for an entire day and night. After. After the mating has finished, the females slay their mate and devour his nutrient rich flesh and his organs in particular. These organs contain a unique chemical compound vital to gestation. Naturalists will pay handsomely for the fresh remains of male cruth, so they can study the strange properties of the creatures blood and organs. In addition, crus have poisonous hollow teeth. When these creatures bite their prey, a tooth breaks off and causes the to bleed profusely as the blood pours through the hollow tooth. Whether male or female, cruise seem to be repelled by goblinoid flesh, especially that of bugbears. This doesn't mean Cruz won't kill goblins. They typically do so using only their claws and tails, and they will take great care to clean themselves thoroughly after such a killing.
[00:53:58] Speaker C: Sounds like an insult.
[00:53:59] Speaker A: Well, at least they want to eat you.
[00:54:00] Speaker B: They? You may ask me three questions. Christina, with your critical success, are they intelligent? I'll give you their whole stat layout just because I feel bad giving you only one thing. They have a plus six strength, plus three dex, plus six con, minus four intelligence, plus two wisdom, and plus zero charisma.
[00:54:28] Speaker E: Resistances and weaknesses.
[00:54:30] Speaker B: Zero resistances, zero weaknesses, and a four status effect to save against fear.
[00:54:38] Speaker E: Interesting. And what's the last thing we want to know?
[00:54:43] Speaker B: You can ask attacks. You can ask hit points.
Armor class saves.
[00:54:50] Speaker E: Any suggestions, guys?
[00:54:52] Speaker A: Wait for the.
For knife sword. It might be useful to know what the saves are, like, what their weakest save is, but. Save?
[00:55:00] Speaker D: I was gonna say armor class, but yeah, that's good for our next sword.
[00:55:04] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. So what? Yeah, their saves.
[00:55:06] Speaker B: Okay, so they have a plus 20 to their fortitude save, plus 17 to their reflex save, and a plus 14 to their will save. So will is their lowest save except versus fear. Unless it's except versus fear. Correct.
[00:55:23] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:55:25] Speaker B: All right, so that was your first.
That was a really long way to winded thing to talk about, but I found it interesting.
[00:55:36] Speaker E: Yeah, I find it very interesting. They went that far into it.
[00:55:40] Speaker A: Do you think they're called Cruz because they have cracked tooth? Like, is that where cruuth came from?
[00:55:46] Speaker E: Um, let's. Let's see what, let's see what happens when I make r1 cold.
[00:55:52] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:55:54] Speaker B: Uh, 36, critical hit.
[00:55:58] Speaker E: Oh, sweet.
[00:56:00] Speaker D: Nice.
[00:56:03] Speaker E: Bomb or spell? Normal damage. The target is reduced in size as if subject to a shrink spell until the end of its next turn. Okay, so now we have like a medium size instead of a large size.
[00:56:16] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:56:17] Speaker E: Creature.
All right. I feel like that just made it more agile, but we'll see. And then I believe it's two d. Six plus two. What?
[00:56:26] Speaker B: It actually doesn't become small.
[00:56:28] Speaker A: Wouldn't it become medium?
[00:56:29] Speaker E: It becomes small.
[00:56:30] Speaker B: You warp space to make a creature smaller. The target shrinks to become tiny in size.
[00:56:37] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:56:37] Speaker B: The creatures reach changes to 0ft.
[00:56:42] Speaker A: So it's, that's exactly the same, except it's tiny and it can attack things that aren't in its space.
[00:56:48] Speaker B: Correct.
[00:56:49] Speaker A: Awesome.
[00:56:49] Speaker E: Well, it's also slow 10ft and takes nine cold damage or eleven cold damage at the splash.
And for my third action.
[00:57:02] Speaker B: I think, think you should think about it. Till next week, thank you for listening to the Crack Die podcast. Background sound effects provided by sirenscape. Because Epic Games deserve Epic music, please visit
