[00:00:38] Speaker A: Hello, everyone, and welcome back for another episode of the Crack Dye podcast. My name is Matt. I play twintallon on the show. If you watch our Twitch show, I'm the GM over there, and I want to start this episode by saying thank you. Last week, I expressed my desire, our desire, to make this show something more, make this group of shows something more. And the only way we can do that is with your support and a couple people, they really stepped up to the plate. I don't know if it's coincidentally or because of what I said, but I want to give a big shout out, a big thank you, to two people in particular. The first is Margaret. Margaret is a new patron. Welcome, Margaret. Margaret, since you joined at the five dollar level, make sure to submit your either critical hit or critical miscard, which is your right as a five dollar patron. In addition, I'd like to give a huge shout out to Cassandra. Cassandra has been a longtime patron here of the podcast, but after last episode, she upped her pledge. So I want to say thank you, Cassandra. Without the generosity of people like you, we couldn't do this. So again, thank you very much. But Cassandra's pledge got me thinking. And also, I was thinking as I was talking last week, what would I do? What else could I contribute if I wasn't doing editing every week? So here's what I'll say. We're gonna introduce a new level, a new pledge level on Patreon, let's say, at the $10 level. And right now, it's not gonna do anything else. It allows you to support us a little extra if you have the cash, we appreciate it. But what it will do if we hit dollar 160 a month, we will break even. We'll be able to produce the show without paying money every week to do so. But if we hit $360, which is an additional $200 on top of what we need to absolutely run the show, we will hire an editor to do one episode a month, which will free up my time. And what I will pledge is that if you are pledging at the $10 level, once we hit that milestone, I will put out custom content, custom Pathfinder content every month as a replacement. So if you can get us. You, yes, you can get us to $360 a month. We will hire an editor to do at least one episode a month, depending on what it costs. And that week, instead of editing, I will create custom homebrew Pathfinder content. It'll be new classes, new spells, new feats, whatever we decide as a group that we want to do I personally always loved Psyonix. I loved that it was a different magic system completely. It totally abandoned vansian magic for its own thing. And I would love to draw up some psionic classes to redo. Almost like a psionic book with new classes, powers, the whole shebang. But can't do that if I'm spending my evenings editing the show. So I leave it up to you in your capable hands. If we can get to 360 a month, hire an editor, put out custom content, you will get it if you've pledged at the $10 level. And that address one more time is patreon.com cracked Die podcast, or patreon.com cracked podcast. Go there, sign up. We appreciate you. Second thing, Twitch. I know I say it often, but we do do a Twitch show. Our next episode of the Twitch show proper, the Absalom and order game that we play, which is the agents of Edgewatch adventure path, is September 11. However, today, today, September 2, Thursday, September 2, I will be streaming on Twitch, the brand new CRPG wrath of the righteous. That's right. I got wrath of the righteous. I kick started it. Buddy of mine got me the season pass as a birthday gift. Super excited. So I'm going to stream it tonight and we'll get into it together. I work today, so by the time 08:00 rolls around, I'll be booting it up for the first time and we'll experience it as a group. Additionally, I believe Shawn is looking to stream it this weekend, probably Saturday. That's when we typically stream. But it's release day today, so I thought what better day to do a stream than today? Anyway, I hope we see you there at Twitch TV. Cracked die or crackeddy? I hope you will seriously consider helping us out on the Patreon. But let's get into the episode, episode 95 of the Crack Die podcast. I'm still standing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:04:58] Speaker B: Welcome to the 95th episode of the Crackdown Cracked Die podcast. [00:05:03] Speaker A: Hooray. Yeah. Sean, you figured out what you're gonna do for us on 100? [00:05:09] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Have you? [00:05:11] Speaker B: I have. I've actually written the whole thing out. [00:05:15] Speaker A: Is it a dream sequence? [00:05:17] Speaker B: It is not a dream sequence, okay? It is a flashback. [00:05:21] Speaker D: Oh, okay. [00:05:23] Speaker E: I just. I can't accept a personal check. It's gonna have to be cash or visa. [00:05:29] Speaker A: I thought your policy was ass, gas, or grass. Nobody rides for free. [00:05:35] Speaker E: Well, yeah, my warehouse got full, so I had to scale that back just to cash. [00:05:40] Speaker D: Okay, okay, makes sense. [00:05:44] Speaker B: Well, couldn't you sell one of those other two items? Nevermind let's not get into that. [00:05:50] Speaker E: I'm not reselling anything. [00:05:54] Speaker B: So, last time we were here, what happened? Well, you guys finally got out of that gate. The dream gate didn't die. Unfortunately, you ran into a group of scarlet triad slavers in a new town called Cypress Point. From there, you found out about three different things that are going on. Once you saved a captive, the first option was, there is a really large boat that's too big for this town pulled up, and the captive thinks a bunch of their people were taken to the boat. There's a boat house, which is too small for that boat, that they were concerned was going to get lit on fire. [00:06:48] Speaker A: And the purpose of letting the boat on fire or the boathouse on fire was to burn the entire town, right? [00:06:52] Speaker B: Correct. Right. The boathouse is the central point. It would spread from there to the rest of the town. And your third option that they mentioned is that they think their leaders had been taken to the nine Hills smokehouse. And that is a place where, you know, they cure meat for rations and beef jerky and whatnot. [00:07:13] Speaker A: What's wrong with that? [00:07:15] Speaker B: Nothing's wrong with it. They just think they put a bunch of the leaders of the town into the smokehouse. [00:07:21] Speaker A: But why would they cure the meat if nothing was wrong with that? This is content. [00:07:28] Speaker E: I don't know, but I'm gonna get a large set of onion rings when we get there. [00:07:34] Speaker B: So you guys decided to go to the boathouse because you didn't want the entire town to light on fire. You got in there and you met three lovely creatures called cruths. So loud. And the Cruz will set you free. [00:07:49] Speaker D: No, no, I really don't think so. No. [00:07:52] Speaker A: From your mortal coil. [00:07:55] Speaker C: There we go. [00:07:56] Speaker D: That's closer. [00:07:56] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:07:58] Speaker B: And like I always do, I interrupted Christine on her turn. [00:08:03] Speaker C: No, this is a recent development. Because you finally stopped doing it to Hia. [00:08:07] Speaker B: That's true. I felt bad, actually. Our. Our listeners started telling me that I should have felt bad. So, good. I listened to our listeners. [00:08:18] Speaker C: I'm noticing he only does this to the women. [00:08:21] Speaker B: Hmm. [00:08:22] Speaker D: Interesting. [00:08:22] Speaker A: Well, either that means it's coming back to you haya at some point, or we're gonna have to get another woman on the podcast to then interrupt her turn. It's. [00:08:30] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly. [00:08:32] Speaker A: Or you could stop doing it, but I guess that's not an option. [00:08:35] Speaker B: Oh, I could stop. Yeah. That's not enough. What? So we're gonna jump back into this lovely combat with the Cruz, and it is Saraya's turn. She has one final action left. Oh, and I just want to point out, nice sword. Shrunk one of the crews with a. [00:08:55] Speaker A: Critical hit for one turn. [00:08:58] Speaker B: For one round. Yes. So when it comes at the end of his next round, it will go back to more. [00:09:04] Speaker C: Okay. Um. Because I honestly do not remember, and I think you've listened recently, Sean. I'm assuming I made two attacks last year. [00:09:13] Speaker B: You did. There are doors right to your west. [00:09:19] Speaker C: Look, we're trying to learn from our mistakes and not combine too many encounters at once. [00:09:26] Speaker B: What? [00:09:26] Speaker A: Come on. [00:09:28] Speaker C: Combining too many accounts. [00:09:31] Speaker A: He does it as a player. He wants it as a GM. [00:09:34] Speaker B: Hey, wait a minute. [00:09:36] Speaker C: This is true. I don't know what to do. I'm just gonna pull out a bomb so I have it for next turn. I'm not going to throw it yet. [00:09:47] Speaker B: Okay, so you're gonna whip it out. Got it. [00:09:50] Speaker C: Whip it out. [00:09:51] Speaker B: It burns a little bit. Okay, so now it is one of my Kruse turns. [00:09:55] Speaker D: Oh, Boyden. Here we go. [00:09:56] Speaker B: 510 15 202-53-0354 so that one crew swims around the corner and makes a strike against Saraya, who is flat footed to this creature because it is out or because it is in the water. [00:10:17] Speaker A: Wait, that's its ability. [00:10:20] Speaker B: It's called aquatic ambush. Oh, no. You have detected it. Never mind. It is not flat footed. So it's just gonna bite at Saraya. [00:10:29] Speaker C: Oh, yay. [00:10:29] Speaker A: I mean, at least you don't lose that to ac. [00:10:32] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:10:32] Speaker B: Here comes the jaws. Yeah. Natural one. [00:10:42] Speaker E: Crit card. [00:10:43] Speaker A: Everybody draws crit fail cards. [00:10:46] Speaker B: And this is a unarmed attack. This attack grants and triggers a trip or shove as a reaction by your enemy. Would you like to trip or shove the crews? [00:10:57] Speaker C: I mean, I guess I'll try to shove it because I don't know how. How effective tripping is. [00:11:02] Speaker D: Great. [00:11:03] Speaker B: Yeah, that's. [00:11:04] Speaker C: I just want to let you all know my athletics is the plus one, so please don't mock me. [00:11:10] Speaker B: Mock, mock, mock. [00:11:12] Speaker C: Because I have no idea what these guys for fortitude save is gonna be, but I don't think it's. [00:11:16] Speaker B: Wow. [00:11:16] Speaker C: I rolled a three, so it's me and him. [00:11:18] Speaker B: So that is a me and him. [00:11:20] Speaker C: Going back forth, whiffing it. [00:11:22] Speaker B: Okay, so you critically fail on this shove. Give me a d eight. And this is very important. [00:11:29] Speaker C: Now I'm scared. [00:11:30] Speaker A: I think you're gonna shove yourself, right? [00:11:32] Speaker C: Am I gonna trick myself into the water now? [00:11:35] Speaker B: 7123-4567 all right, so, on a critical fail on a shove, it says you lose your balance, fall, and land prone. Since you roll the seven on the d eight. Starting from directly north of you, that's 123-4567 you fall into the doors grown. [00:12:00] Speaker C: And now I'm. Instead of standing directly to the. Like to the north of Seagull teeth. I'm a little bit to his side. [00:12:06] Speaker B: So yeah, you're, you're directly. You're leaning up against the closed door. [00:12:10] Speaker C: Okay. [00:12:11] Speaker B: The cruise will make a tail attack against you. I go from a one to a 20. [00:12:19] Speaker A: Boo. [00:12:22] Speaker B: So the tail critically hits you. Good news is these are not named fruits. So I'm just going to do average day as 34 points of damage from this tail. [00:12:36] Speaker D: Yikes. [00:12:37] Speaker C: I'm also glad that even flat footed, that's not like a finger quotes double crit. [00:12:42] Speaker B: Yeah. Next up is truth number two. We're gonna name him Tooth Ruth Furious. He's enfeebled one thanks to twin Talon. [00:12:58] Speaker A: So I don't think he is. Yeah. So it turns out I've been doing that wrong the entire time. Yeah. So what? I take part of the blame and I put part of the blame on Paizo. And here's why I say that. And you can determine whichever you believe to be true. [00:13:16] Speaker B: So Paizo, please sponsor us. [00:13:18] Speaker A: Yeah. And if not, it's like your fault. So in the beginning of the rogue set section, it calls out to what debilitations are. And it mentions that if you get. If a second debilitation is applied, it replaces the first one. And then you don't get debilitating strike for nine levels. So that information is up in the top where it's like, what is a rogue? You might be like this. People might see you like this. Like that first page of Roginess, which if you've ever played a rogue before, you're just like, yep. And you flip it. That's where that information is contained. And again, for nine levels, I didn't have it so. Or eight levels. Whatever was. I got level nine. I honestly don't think it's that powerful to be like, I have to hit you twice a round. And if I do, I can give you a negative one to hit and a negative ten to speed. Like I don't really understand what the big deal would be, but at the same time, maybe if you had certain debilitations they would stack grossly. That being said, there is an ability later on that you get where you can do two at once, but you get it to it for every strike. It's not like you can stack them as you can just apply two at the same time. So. Yeah, so the last thing I did was I applied the one that gives me two d six extra on every attack that I make against them. So even given the choice between them, I probably would have left that one on. Sorry. [00:14:38] Speaker B: Okay, well I appreciate. It's fine. [00:14:42] Speaker A: Great. [00:14:43] Speaker B: I'll take it out of your paycheck. [00:14:45] Speaker A: No, he gets paycheck. [00:14:49] Speaker B: This is like Anwar's bonus back in the day where I doubled his paycheck from zero to zero. [00:14:55] Speaker D: So ah, makes sense. [00:14:58] Speaker B: But this crew is going to fight. [00:15:03] Speaker A: Okay. At twin Talon seems full but all right. [00:15:06] Speaker B: And I miss by five. So then tail is gonna swing up and try and hit him. Him being twin Talon. [00:15:17] Speaker A: Again, that is a critical failure. [00:15:19] Speaker B: Which is another critical miss. [00:15:22] Speaker A: Card number one. [00:15:23] Speaker B: Yeah. This is called don't pick at it. You become wounded one or your wounded value increases by one. So here's what I'm gonna say, Matt, roll your damage. Because this NPC doesn't really get wounded levels. I'm just gonna let you do damage. [00:15:39] Speaker A: I mean if you want. Okay. [00:15:42] Speaker B: Yeah, I figured I critically missed. Something should happen. [00:15:46] Speaker A: Okay. [00:15:46] Speaker B: You don't get your precision damage. It's just you're flailing your weapon at it. [00:15:52] Speaker A: 15. [00:15:53] Speaker B: There you go. That's like a condition. And then the last action is its claw is going to reach up and try and grab you. And by grab I mean scrape across. [00:16:06] Speaker A: Got it. [00:16:07] Speaker B: Another critical miss. These ruths are not. [00:16:14] Speaker A: There's going to be no Christmas with these crews. [00:16:16] Speaker C: And that's the groove. [00:16:18] Speaker B: Punctured foot. Makes sense. It's a claw. You take one persistent bleed damage until this effect ends. You take a minus ten circumstance penalty to your land speed. Well all right. [00:16:30] Speaker A: It does take one d four persistent bleed damage. I don't think the land speed thing's gonna come up but yeah. [00:16:35] Speaker B: One d four bleed's nice. Well that's the end of its turn. [00:16:40] Speaker D: Good Lord. [00:16:41] Speaker B: It fails its recovery check with a three and takes four points of damage from bleed. [00:16:48] Speaker C: It's that salt in the wood. It just stings a little. [00:16:51] Speaker B: Yeah. Brianna. [00:16:53] Speaker D: Cool cool cool cool. This is lots of fun. We have this thing in front of us. Imma just focus fire on this gross lizard thing whose name escapes me right now. It's probably Steve. [00:17:05] Speaker A: Fucking Steve. [00:17:07] Speaker B: Then they get crit hit cards. [00:17:08] Speaker D: Oh then not Steve. I'ma just do what I do best and swing it. [00:17:13] Speaker B: Not Steve. [00:17:14] Speaker D: That's what I was gonna do. And I failed beautifully with a two on the die for 23. [00:17:21] Speaker B: That's a regular miss. [00:17:22] Speaker D: All right, go again. [00:17:24] Speaker A: That's still impressive. You rolled a two and didn't crit miss. [00:17:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:17:27] Speaker D: Jeez. How about a 29? [00:17:28] Speaker B: That will hit. [00:17:29] Speaker C: Cool. [00:17:30] Speaker D: Take 20 points of damage and I will raise my shield as my last action. [00:17:36] Speaker B: Right. We now have micro crew who will swim towards knife sword. I'm so small. It will then try and bite knife sword. [00:17:51] Speaker A: Yeah, well, it's medium, I think. A nice word. Still small, but it's like a mount. Now it's like a nice word. Mount. Like knife sword. Might ride a cruise. [00:17:59] Speaker B: Maybe that's a critical hit. [00:18:02] Speaker D: Yikes. [00:18:03] Speaker B: At 39 versus ac. [00:18:05] Speaker E: My ac doesn't reach 39, so you missed. [00:18:08] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [00:18:11] Speaker D: I think it works that way. [00:18:13] Speaker C: He's back on that fatco thing. [00:18:15] Speaker A: Gotta roll under. [00:18:16] Speaker D: Aha. [00:18:17] Speaker B: So you take 45 points of damage. [00:18:20] Speaker A: Look at the deadly d ten on their thing. Ugh. [00:18:22] Speaker B: And that's not all. Oh, boy. A tooth snaps off into knife swords armst well. And you will be taking one d six. Persistent bleed and you are drained one. For those who don't remember, drained condition is when a creature successfully drains you of blood or life force, you become less healthy. Drained always includes a value. You take a status penalty equal to your drain value. On constitution based checks such as fortitude saves, you also lose a number of hit points equal to your level. Minimum of one times the drain value, and your maximum hit points are reduced by the same amount. For example, if you're hit by an effect that does drain three in your third level, you would lose nine hit points and reduce your maximum hit points by nine. Losing these hit points doesn't count as taking down. Each time you take a full night's rest, your drain value decreases by one. This increases your maximum hit points, but you don't immediately recover the lost. [00:19:30] Speaker E: I go to sleep right now. [00:19:33] Speaker B: Well, that was its first attack. It will be now. A tail will come swinging at you. Knife sword hit you by three for a 30 deals. 19 points of damage. [00:19:52] Speaker E: Am I the right level for this encounter? [00:19:54] Speaker B: Right? Yeah. [00:19:57] Speaker D: And you're not close enough for me to, like, liberate? [00:19:59] Speaker A: No, no, you. Liberating happens over here. It's not over there. Liberating is for us. [00:20:05] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm trying to remember. Why did we split up? Whose idea was that? [00:20:08] Speaker A: I'm circling around the outside of the. [00:20:10] Speaker B: Building and a claw swingsh out at Saraya. [00:20:14] Speaker C: Didn't it have to swim over first? [00:20:16] Speaker B: Oh, it did. Good call. Good call. [00:20:19] Speaker A: Classic Sean, giving his monster four actions and us two actions. [00:20:24] Speaker C: No, you're kidding. We get one most of the time. Yeah. [00:20:29] Speaker B: Felt knife sword, it is your turn. [00:20:32] Speaker E: I figured out what I want to do. But I have a question about the spell, and I can't. It's not really clear. I'm just looking it up real quick. [00:20:38] Speaker B: Spell. [00:20:39] Speaker E: I had to look it up in the book. Um, black tentacles. [00:20:42] Speaker B: Oh, no. [00:20:43] Speaker A: Create scenario. [00:20:44] Speaker E: 20 foot burst adjacent to a flat surface. What does that mean? [00:20:48] Speaker A: It means has to be, like, on that. [00:20:50] Speaker E: Just the Aoe. [00:20:51] Speaker A: Well, no, as we. Adjacent to a flat surface. You couldn't do, like, in the air because tentacles have to sprout from something. [00:20:56] Speaker E: I was gonna have them sprout from the water. [00:20:57] Speaker A: If Sean says that's fine, then I. I think that's fine. [00:21:00] Speaker B: That is not a flat surface. [00:21:01] Speaker E: What about under the water? I mean, it's a dock. It can't be that deep. [00:21:04] Speaker D: That's true, but is it a flat surface? [00:21:07] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, maybe. It's like, is there a grade to it? Oh, no. This spell has just gotten very specific. Suddenly, I take out my ruler. I'm sorry. I take out my level and no longer can use this spell. [00:21:18] Speaker B: Matt, do a. Architecture. [00:21:20] Speaker C: Architecture. [00:21:21] Speaker E: Yes. [00:21:21] Speaker A: It's coming in play. [00:21:23] Speaker B: No, I will let you cast it because it is a dock, and it will be that deep for, like, dings and whatnot. All right, small fishing. [00:21:34] Speaker E: So I'm going to cast black tentacles to get this thing off of me. [00:21:40] Speaker A: I feel like Lancelot's become a pirate. [00:21:41] Speaker E: ARR. A vest. [00:21:43] Speaker B: All right, so if you can make a spell attack roll, this is against the fortitude DC of each of the creatures. All right, 34 will hit the first one and give me one more spell. [00:21:59] Speaker A: Attack roll for each of them. [00:22:01] Speaker B: Wait, make a spell attack roll against the 42 DC of each creature. Oh, no, you only need one. So, yes, grab both of them. So these are both grab. And they will take three d. Six. Bludgeoning. [00:22:19] Speaker C: Imagine it just picks the two of them up, like, bashes them together. [00:22:24] Speaker E: I like what I do. [00:22:25] Speaker B: All right, so you deal. Twelve points of damage to them. [00:22:31] Speaker E: Okay. And that is two actions. [00:22:34] Speaker B: Three actions. All right, ten talents. [00:22:41] Speaker A: Oh, wow. That. That blonde really is pronounced. I don't remember that at all. [00:22:46] Speaker B: Knife, sword. You take three lead damage. [00:22:50] Speaker E: I'm down. [00:22:52] Speaker A: Wait, you're unconscious. [00:22:53] Speaker B: Okay, I. He is dying. [00:22:58] Speaker E: No, I'm stabilized. [00:23:01] Speaker A: Covered in slime, I'm assuming. [00:23:03] Speaker E: Yes. [00:23:03] Speaker B: Yep, make a recovery. Check for me. It's a flat check. DC 15. [00:23:10] Speaker E: Okay. Nope, nope. [00:23:13] Speaker B: So you are still bleeding. All right, twin Talon, it is now your turn. [00:23:20] Speaker A: All right, so twin Talon will attack the truth in front of us. There we go. 29 to hit it is nine will. [00:23:33] Speaker B: Hit it is flat footed. Hang on. Which one? [00:23:39] Speaker A: I didn't think it would like crit or anything. I'm just letting it know. Okay, so. Oh, I forgot the extra two d six. Okay. So it's 18 plus four plus seven is 29 hit points. Okay. So should be 29 to the crew. And I will re up the all of my attacks, do an extra two damage. Debilitation. And then twin Talon will strike again. Twin talon strikes again. 27 against flat footed. [00:24:17] Speaker B: Ac 27 versus flat footed will hit. [00:24:23] Speaker D: Nice. [00:24:25] Speaker A: And then that's another 32 damage. [00:24:30] Speaker B: Would you like to describe your. [00:24:35] Speaker A: Sure. Like this thing's coming up on the dock at us. And twin Talon, it's got this big bony plate like a triceratops. So twin Talon kind of takes the opportunity. He slashes once across his face, kind of knocks it out of position and then drives his short sword up under like the side of the bony plate right into its neck. And it sinks beneath the wave. The blub blub blub. And a pool of blood. That's blood. But it's blue. Cause they're creatures. [00:25:05] Speaker C: All right. I dig it. [00:25:07] Speaker B: And you have one more action left. [00:25:09] Speaker A: Then Twintal will say knife sword. And he'll start moving. So. 510 15 2025 30 ziptainous and I didn't forget about her. She gets her action now. So 510 actually. Hold on. Fly. She doesn't do well on the dock. So Taysani flies south avoiding the tentacles. I'm not a fan of what good this is there. And that'll be her move. She has 60ft. So she swoops, swoops low. What the technical is coming around the dock there. Azzy. [00:25:57] Speaker B: Right. Soraya, you are prone on the ground. Slammed against a door. [00:26:04] Speaker A: Did the crew go back to normal size? [00:26:08] Speaker B: Yes. [00:26:08] Speaker C: They are still being thrashed by black tentacles. [00:26:13] Speaker A: Yeah. Now that it's large, it's hard to twist. [00:26:15] Speaker C: Cool. I'm not even gonna get up. I'm just gonna use my. I'm gonna use my quick alchemy action in conjunction with my fun new healing balm free action. [00:26:31] Speaker A: Nice. [00:26:32] Speaker C: So I'm going to make. It has to be a lesser elixir of life because it all has to do with item levels and everything. So I can't do my top one. But I can also double brew so I can make two of them in one action that are both misty misties. And I'm going to fling one at knife sword. Oh, sweet. So that's an n 20. Yeah. So that's a nat 20. To throw a healing bomb at knife sword. So that means aside from healing three d six, he also does get the item bonus for saving against poisons and whatnot. So he heals 19. [00:27:20] Speaker B: Right? Knife sword. Wake up. [00:27:25] Speaker A: It wasn't a bad dream. It's all still real. [00:27:29] Speaker C: And I'm gonna fling the other one at him as well. [00:27:33] Speaker B: Okay. [00:27:34] Speaker C: Because I can only do so much. I can't do the plus twelve without, like, force feeding it to him. [00:27:41] Speaker B: 24 versus knife. Swords ac versus nice. [00:27:44] Speaker C: Swords AC. I only miss on a critical fail. [00:27:47] Speaker B: Okay, so his ac is 25, so you miss by one. So you actually. [00:27:52] Speaker C: So I still hit him. He just doesn't get the item bonus, which he already had anyway, so no big deal. And he heals another 19. [00:27:58] Speaker B: Nice, right? [00:28:00] Speaker C: And she starts just scrambling for the door handle, just like. Okay. [00:28:06] Speaker B: All right, you're welcome. [00:28:10] Speaker C: As he wakes up. I didn't have Jasper do it this time. [00:28:15] Speaker E: Double thank you. [00:28:19] Speaker B: Knife sword. You've been moved. In the initiative order, it is now the crew in front of Surrey as turn and it will struggle for being grabbing. On its turn, it will take one v six and grab. So it's going to try and, uh. It's a dumb creature. It's going to try and bite. And knife swords spell deepen is 29. So the tentacles have an ac up 29. If they take twelve or more damage, they are destroyed. However, a new tentacle will grow anyway, trying to bite a 29. [00:29:05] Speaker E: Wait, is that my class? [00:29:07] Speaker B: DC your spell. DC. All right, so I bite the tentacle and I deal 15 points of damage. So the tentacle is no longer grappling this through. It will now try and bite. I'm sorry. It will try and claw. Saraya, a 32 will hit you. [00:29:39] Speaker C: Yes, it will. [00:29:40] Speaker B: The regular hit. So you take 21 points of damage and then its tail will come out. What's the neck? [00:29:53] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:29:53] Speaker C: Wait. [00:29:54] Speaker A: This is its third attack. [00:29:55] Speaker C: It attacked the tentacles. It attacked knife sword. It attacked me. Right. [00:29:59] Speaker B: It didn't attack knife sword, it just attacked the temporal. [00:30:02] Speaker A: But it should be at negative ten or whatever. [00:30:04] Speaker B: Yeah. 26. [00:30:07] Speaker C: That meets my flat footed ac. [00:30:09] Speaker B: Okay, the tail smacks you for 19 more points. [00:30:13] Speaker C: It's all right. I'm still standing. Well, I'm still lying prone, but I'm. [00:30:17] Speaker A: Not well before it's the next person's turn because it didn't move and it's still in the area, it gets grabbed again by the tentacles. That hit for three d six. [00:30:25] Speaker B: Yes. [00:30:26] Speaker A: Well, I mean, it might. It might give grandma. [00:30:28] Speaker B: Coming. Knife sword. Give me another attack roll at a plus 19. Okay. [00:30:34] Speaker A: Ow, my back. [00:30:36] Speaker B: 28 will grab it again. Give me three d six damage, please. Ten more points of damage as these black tentacles writhe and grab the truth again. Now it is Rhianna's turn, so Brianna. [00:30:54] Speaker D: Is going to grab her handy dandy striking returning javelin. And I have to double check the. It's fine. I make it and I will attack it. The one that is to Saraya's. Right. [00:31:15] Speaker B: Gotcha. [00:31:16] Speaker D: Let's see how we do. How's a 30? [00:31:20] Speaker A: Nice. [00:31:21] Speaker B: I don't. I'm not a fan of it because it definitely. [00:31:25] Speaker D: Excellent. [00:31:26] Speaker C: Oh, that's a marge. [00:31:28] Speaker D: Take some 14 damage. [00:31:32] Speaker B: Ow, ow, ow. [00:31:34] Speaker D: You're welcome. Since it's returned to me, she's gonna do it again. [00:31:40] Speaker B: It's like a boomerang. [00:31:42] Speaker D: Pretty much. How's 29? [00:31:45] Speaker B: Another hit. [00:31:46] Speaker D: Not as good. Ten points of damage. [00:31:50] Speaker B: Yes, 24 will hit because it is a minus five. But yes, 24 will hit for ten points of damage. [00:31:57] Speaker D: And for my third action, I'm going to move 20ft. Just kidding. I'm a move 15 so I don't land in the same square. [00:32:07] Speaker A: Big butts. In a way, it's okay. [00:32:10] Speaker C: She like big butts and she cannot lie. [00:32:13] Speaker D: That's my turn. [00:32:14] Speaker B: All right. Knife, sword. [00:32:15] Speaker A: I just want to say that, like, javelins, I think are really fun, like, mechanical weapon, but the pain in the neck with them is like, you have to carry a bunch of them and then you run out and you have to collect them. So the fact that she has that returning javelin is so, so good. Like, every time you. Every time you pull it out, it just makes me happy all over again. [00:32:38] Speaker B: And, like, because normally it's like, you draw a javelin, you throw a javelin, you draw another one. Three actions to get one attack. Now it's just draw, throw, throw. [00:32:50] Speaker D: It's a lot of fun, for sure. Thank you so much. [00:32:53] Speaker B: All right, knife, sword. [00:32:54] Speaker E: Yes. [00:32:55] Speaker B: You're awake. [00:32:56] Speaker A: You're gonna play dead again. [00:32:57] Speaker B: You're lying on the ground. [00:32:59] Speaker C: Lying on the cold, hard ground. [00:33:00] Speaker E: I can't cast from prone, can I? What's the negative? [00:33:05] Speaker A: I mean, prone just makes you black. [00:33:07] Speaker B: But I think you take a minus two to a penalty to attack. [00:33:12] Speaker E: Okay, so action one. [00:33:14] Speaker B: Stand up, get up, stand up. [00:33:17] Speaker E: Action two and three, I'm gonna cast chilling darkness on the formerly tiny group. [00:33:23] Speaker B: Gotcha. [00:33:24] Speaker E: Shazam. [00:33:25] Speaker A: No trademark. [00:33:27] Speaker B: Yeah. Shaboopy. [00:33:30] Speaker E: Shazing. [00:33:31] Speaker C: I'm pretty sure Shabuki is probably trademarked as well. Yep, sure. I need to piss off you. [00:33:37] Speaker B: Jacqueline. 38 will critically hit. [00:33:41] Speaker E: Okay. [00:33:46] Speaker B: I believe so, yeah. [00:33:47] Speaker A: What are you. What are you using? [00:33:49] Speaker E: Chilling darkness. [00:33:50] Speaker A: Yeah, definitely. [00:33:51] Speaker E: Sorry. Guess I should have announced that. Yes. [00:33:53] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:33:53] Speaker E: I'm shooting chilling darkness at it. [00:33:55] Speaker B: Okay. [00:33:56] Speaker E: I cast chilling darkness. Okay. Life leech. If this is a spell, the target becomes doomed one. And you regain one d eight hit points. I'll take it. [00:34:08] Speaker A: And. [00:34:08] Speaker B: Hey. [00:34:09] Speaker A: And it does double damage. Standard. [00:34:14] Speaker E: So that's ten d six. [00:34:17] Speaker A: It's. Is it ten to six? [00:34:18] Speaker B: It's five. No, it's five to six times. [00:34:21] Speaker E: I'm just, you know, making it sound better. So 21 times two is 42 damage. It's doomed one, and I get one d eight. Does that mean the. [00:34:36] Speaker B: No, no, the is from the. From the crit part. Okay, so seven hit points effect that on a. That's not bad. [00:34:47] Speaker A: Yeah. I don't know how many points you have, but that seems like a decent amount with. [00:34:53] Speaker B: He has a lot more than he did. One round. [00:34:55] Speaker A: Well, straight ahead with two. Two healing things. [00:34:58] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [00:34:59] Speaker E: This battle has been a emotional roller coaster for me. I'm just glad you're all here to experience it with me. [00:35:07] Speaker B: Well, here's the bad thing, is you now take. So you take five points of bleed damage and then one d twenty. Or you click the recovery check button and did. [00:35:21] Speaker A: Christine said he got some bonus to that because of her crit thing. [00:35:25] Speaker B: Poison. [00:35:26] Speaker A: Oh, poison. Sweaty. [00:35:28] Speaker B: Unfortunately, you're still bleeding. It is now the. [00:35:35] Speaker A: The formerly tiny one. [00:35:37] Speaker B: Yes. Formerly tiny croup is going to attempt to attack knife sword because it just hit him with a chilling dark. [00:35:47] Speaker E: He's not, perchance, a good creature, is he? Does it take more damage? [00:35:53] Speaker B: But he isn't actually can grabbed. [00:35:57] Speaker A: I think he says negatives. [00:35:58] Speaker B: Yeah, he's grabbed. [00:36:00] Speaker E: I'm sorry. Not good. Celestial. [00:36:02] Speaker B: No, he's actually immobilized. So it's gonna try and hit you with a claw type sword. [00:36:08] Speaker E: Okay. [00:36:10] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. Natural 19. It's a 39 hit. That's a critical hit. Oh, I do not get that card. I. Sorry, I got excited. [00:36:24] Speaker E: You could just name him. Like, if I. If I accidentally called him stinky, would he then get the card because I named him? [00:36:29] Speaker B: No, no, that's. That's just me. But you are taking 36 points. [00:36:34] Speaker A: Also me. [00:36:35] Speaker D: Oh, lord. [00:36:36] Speaker C: That's most of the damage I just gave back to him. And then you see why I use two elixirs. [00:36:45] Speaker D: Yep. [00:36:46] Speaker B: Biting at Saraya. [00:36:49] Speaker D: Sorry, I'm not close enough to liberate. Suck's sake. [00:36:52] Speaker B: I do hit you. [00:36:53] Speaker C: Yeah, just regular hit. No crit. [00:36:57] Speaker B: Good news, bad news. Regular damage is only 18 points of damage. [00:37:04] Speaker C: Okay, I just dropped below the 50 line. All right. [00:37:09] Speaker B: A tooth gets snapped off in your arm. [00:37:13] Speaker A: So any successful bite attack does that. [00:37:16] Speaker B: Yep. [00:37:17] Speaker A: Yuck. [00:37:17] Speaker B: That's right. It has one d six bleed and is doomed. [00:37:23] Speaker C: Doomed or drained? [00:37:25] Speaker B: Drained. Drained. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. [00:37:27] Speaker C: I was gonna say. [00:37:30] Speaker B: All right, and nicer. Would you like to roll one d six? [00:37:34] Speaker E: Yes. [00:37:35] Speaker B: Takes four more points of tentacle damage. Matt, it is twin talons turn. [00:37:43] Speaker A: All right, twin town's gonna move. 510 15 2025. 30 move again. And then he's gonna use an action to give Taysani two actions this turn. All right, Sonny is going to 2345. She is going to fly around the tentacles to be adjacent to the southernmost Cruz, the one who was formerly small. And she is going to beak at it. [00:38:22] Speaker B: All right, beak away. [00:38:24] Speaker A: Give it a beak. That is a 30 to hit. [00:38:29] Speaker B: 30 will. Regular hit. [00:38:31] Speaker A: All right, so she does 14 beak damage. Piercing damage. [00:38:36] Speaker B: 14 piercing. [00:38:39] Speaker A: Right, that's my turn. [00:38:42] Speaker B: All right, Saraya, it is your turn. [00:38:45] Speaker C: So as, as everyone is coming around this way and her own hit points are dwindling, she's gonna risk opening the door. She's gonna open the door for one action. Like crawl in for the second move, like 10ft. [00:38:59] Speaker B: Okay, well, hang on. This room has several boxes, barrels and nets lining the walls and stacked in orderly piles around the room. Double doors lead out to the east and south. You also see a tied up half orc lying on the ground, bound and gagged. [00:39:25] Speaker A: No arsonists. [00:39:27] Speaker B: No arsonists. [00:39:28] Speaker C: Well, I guess I'll finish my move action then. [00:39:31] Speaker B: Okay. I just want to let you know what you saw. [00:39:34] Speaker C: That's. That's fair. So, yeah, I'll open the door. I'll take my move action. [00:39:38] Speaker A: I'm still technically on the ground, so if you're. [00:39:41] Speaker B: Yeah, you've been. [00:39:42] Speaker A: If you're on the ground, a crawl is 5ft is the whole move. [00:39:46] Speaker C: That's all you can do is 5ft? [00:39:48] Speaker B: Is the whole. [00:39:48] Speaker A: Yeah, there's a feat that allows you to do more. [00:39:50] Speaker C: Oh, I thought. I thought it was like half speed or whatever. Nevermind. So I guess I will stand up, open the door and take my move action. [00:39:57] Speaker B: Okay. [00:39:58] Speaker C: We're just like. Oh, hello. [00:40:00] Speaker B: All right, that is your turn. [00:40:02] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll untie her on my next turn. [00:40:05] Speaker B: Yep. [00:40:06] Speaker C: We have a friend. [00:40:08] Speaker B: I think you take five points of damage from your bleed. [00:40:14] Speaker C: But now I can make my recovery. [00:40:16] Speaker B: You may make your recovery. [00:40:18] Speaker C: See? [00:40:20] Speaker A: What is it? Bleed damage? Is that what it is? [00:40:23] Speaker B: It is bleed, yes. [00:40:24] Speaker C: Persistent bleed. [00:40:25] Speaker B: But not anymore because team, you recovered wee. [00:40:31] Speaker D: Nice. [00:40:31] Speaker B: All right, is now Brianna's turn. [00:40:36] Speaker D: Brianna is gonna continue moving around, and then since she still has her javelin in her hand as her last action, she's going to throw it at the crew that is bearing down on knife sword currently. [00:40:52] Speaker B: Okay, formerly micro crew 25 will not hit, will it? It will hit because it is still grabbed. [00:41:00] Speaker D: Excellent. Take 16 points of damage. [00:41:05] Speaker B: All right, that's another 16 points of damage. Damaged knife sword. It is your turn. [00:41:12] Speaker E: Okay, quick question. If I have a potion in my pocket, is it one action to pull it out and one action to use it, or is it just one action to use? [00:41:21] Speaker B: It's one action to draw, one action. [00:41:23] Speaker A: To drink, and that's assuming you've put it on your worn items and not in your backpack. [00:41:27] Speaker E: Yeah, it's listed under consumables, so I don't know where it is. [00:41:33] Speaker A: Let's just say it's on your worn items. The new rules are very vague. It's just, like, you have to announce that it's worn, and if you do, then you can just use it. Then you can have access to it. Otherwise, it's like multiple actions. [00:41:43] Speaker C: To get it, take off your backpack. [00:41:46] Speaker A: Reaching back, say a prayer to Saint Michael to find it, you gotta look for it. [00:41:50] Speaker C: So let's just assume you had it on your belt. [00:41:53] Speaker B: I'm down with that. [00:41:54] Speaker E: Okay, so if that's the case, I'm going to use my first section as a move out action to back through the doorway. [00:42:00] Speaker B: All right, move into the other room. [00:42:03] Speaker E: Then I will draw said healing potion of moderate. [00:42:08] Speaker B: Right. [00:42:09] Speaker E: And I'm gonna guzzle that thing down. [00:42:12] Speaker B: Great. [00:42:14] Speaker C: I just told you we have a friend in here. [00:42:17] Speaker B: You heal 25. [00:42:20] Speaker E: Awesome. [00:42:22] Speaker B: You also see a bound and gag green skin person. [00:42:28] Speaker C: Big green skinned lady. [00:42:30] Speaker B: Yeah. All right. It is the cruise turn. And seeing its prey run away, it will now take a swing at Hasani. [00:42:42] Speaker A: Ugh. [00:42:43] Speaker B: Trying to fight her. [00:42:44] Speaker A: I didn't realize everyone's gonna run away when I brought her in here. [00:42:48] Speaker B: Ooh. That is a critical hit against Asani. [00:42:52] Speaker A: Hooray. [00:42:55] Speaker C: Sorry, was not my intention. [00:42:58] Speaker B: 48 points of damage. All right. And now Tisani has a tooth in her. [00:43:08] Speaker A: She's spending an action to put a tooth in my pterodactyl. [00:43:11] Speaker B: Correct. Persistent. [00:43:14] Speaker C: Are they, like, do they just have, like, an infinite amount of teeth to do this with? [00:43:18] Speaker B: Have you seen the picture that I posted of them? [00:43:20] Speaker C: I'm just saying. [00:43:23] Speaker A: Their teeth seem inefficient for eating, but very efficient for just breaking off into stuff. [00:43:29] Speaker B: And then its last action is it's going to submerge under the water. [00:43:34] Speaker A: It's grappled and immobilized. So it can't move. [00:43:36] Speaker B: It can't do that. [00:43:38] Speaker C: This is going to take one day. That's gonna be his last action. [00:43:42] Speaker E: Yeah. Even if it's underwater, the tentacles are on the bottom of the water, so. [00:43:46] Speaker B: I don't like that. [00:43:48] Speaker A: Welcome to every spell that knife sword uses. [00:43:51] Speaker E: If it helps, I can. I can put a gravity well so they're all in one spot. [00:43:59] Speaker B: It's going to swing out at the tentacle holding it. 29 ac, and it misses the tentacle. So give me one d six damage, please. Knife sword. And we didn't deal with your bleed. Did what? [00:44:17] Speaker E: Bleed. [00:44:21] Speaker B: Right. [00:44:22] Speaker E: I don't remember a bleed. Does anyone else remember a bleed? [00:44:25] Speaker A: It's hazy. [00:44:26] Speaker C: Yeah, it's a little fuzzy. [00:44:28] Speaker B: All right, knife sword, you're going to take four points of bleed and then give me a d 20 flat check. It's easy. Saraya did it. [00:44:38] Speaker A: I like how this tooth is, like, jammed into your neck, but if you just roll well enough. You don't mind, I guess, or something? [00:44:46] Speaker C: No. You figure out how to yank it out and staunch the bleeding, but, like. [00:44:49] Speaker A: That seems like it should take an action. This is just, like, reflexively, I guess it's like when pond watcher would flex his muscles and shoot all of his poison out. [00:44:56] Speaker C: Yeah, exactly. [00:44:57] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:44:58] Speaker B: Checks up. Oh, no. [00:45:01] Speaker A: Well, it's not any worse. [00:45:02] Speaker D: Yikes. [00:45:03] Speaker B: Yeah, it's not any worse. It's just a natural one. So you're still bleeding. [00:45:07] Speaker C: Sword tries to flex, and the tooth digs in deeper. [00:45:10] Speaker B: Quintalen, it is your turn. [00:45:11] Speaker A: Just gonna continue moving around. Hey, get your toothy maw off my pterodactyl. All right. Five. All right, so 25 will get me up adjacent to there. I'm actually gonna move the full 30 to let Brianna have an extra space to come in there. [00:45:28] Speaker B: Right. [00:45:29] Speaker D: Thank you. [00:45:30] Speaker A: Then you will attack. 29 versus flat footed Ac. [00:45:36] Speaker B: 29 versus flat footed AC. That's still a hit. [00:45:40] Speaker A: Okay. [00:45:42] Speaker B: I just wanted to make sure it wasn't. [00:45:45] Speaker A: Okay, so I do 18 damage, and I'm going to apply the debilitating. I'm assuming it's still alive. [00:45:53] Speaker B: Yes. [00:45:53] Speaker A: Okay. Then I'm gonna apply the debilitation, where my attacks do an extra two d six damage to it. [00:45:58] Speaker B: All right? [00:45:58] Speaker A: And then I'm going to try out to attack it again. 30. That should hit. So 15 from the regular strike. 46 herald, 110 from that. So 25 total on that second attack. [00:46:16] Speaker B: It is so alive. [00:46:18] Speaker A: All right, so three actions for me. Taysani, twintown's gonna kind of whistle and motion with his head toward the open door. And she's going to follow the other squishies into that room. [00:46:32] Speaker B: Okay. To give you an update. [00:46:35] Speaker A: Yeah. Let me know what's up with that. [00:46:38] Speaker B: All right. [00:46:39] Speaker A: And she's gonna come in. Thank you. And she's still gonna be like, poke. She's staying a doorway kind of looking. She doesn't let twin talent out of her sight, but she's just kind of looking out around the door. [00:46:52] Speaker B: All right. [00:46:53] Speaker A: Craning her long neck to see. No, as much as I don't want to, she takes one d six bleed. [00:47:01] Speaker B: Oh, she does. On d six. Five. 5.3. [00:47:09] Speaker A: And troll to twelve for her recovery checks. She does not recover. [00:47:12] Speaker B: Awaiya, I'm gonna untie the gag on. [00:47:16] Speaker C: This half orc mouth. [00:47:18] Speaker B: Okay. So they are no longer as she's doing. [00:47:21] Speaker C: She's like, hello, I'm going to assume that you are not one of the slavers and in fact, one of the people who may have been beset upon by them. And we're just fighting the giant lizard things outside, so. Hi, what's your name? [00:47:33] Speaker B: They are unconscious. [00:47:34] Speaker C: Oh, see, that would have been nice to, like. [00:47:36] Speaker B: Sorry. [00:47:36] Speaker C: Yeah, I feel like that would have been fairly obvious from whether or not they were struggling when I first saw them. [00:47:41] Speaker B: Yes. No, they are. They are unconscious. [00:47:42] Speaker C: I dumped my water skin on them. [00:47:45] Speaker B: They wake up, they are wet. [00:47:48] Speaker C: They are wet. [00:47:50] Speaker B: You dump your water skin on them, and what do we see? [00:47:55] Speaker C: I wake up and I'm really angry, but I think I'm also gagged still, right? No, I took the gag off. Okay, cool. [00:48:04] Speaker B: You're still bound. However, your arms and feet are still tight. [00:48:09] Speaker C: And now she'll go into her like, hello, can I rage? [00:48:13] Speaker B: Uh, yeah, I'll let you. I'll let you rage. [00:48:16] Speaker C: Sweet. [00:48:16] Speaker D: Oh, boy. [00:48:17] Speaker C: Wait, is it still my turn or not? How are we doing initiative on that? [00:48:21] Speaker B: Uh, yeah, you can finish your turn, Christy, but. [00:48:24] Speaker C: Okay. Hello. I'm going to assume that you are a citizen of this town. [00:48:28] Speaker B: Get the shit off of me. [00:48:31] Speaker C: Just as long as you don't attack me, myself, or my compatriots, and perhaps only the amphibian things outside. Do we have a deal? [00:48:36] Speaker D: Are we still in combat? [00:48:37] Speaker B: Yes. [00:48:38] Speaker C: I think we're having a quick exchange because talking, I think, is technically free. [00:48:42] Speaker B: Technically, it's one sentence, but we're gonna bend the rules a little bit. [00:48:45] Speaker C: Seems like we're introducing a new person on the podcast, so this might be fun. So, yes, do you agree to attack only the amphibian things? Outside and none of the humanoids. How much you got? [00:48:57] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [00:48:57] Speaker C: I'm going to let you go. I don't have to. How much to attack the things outside? [00:49:02] Speaker A: Is she crying? It sounds like she's crying. [00:49:07] Speaker C: We'll work it out after. How's that? Ten gold right now. [00:49:11] Speaker B: Gold. [00:49:12] Speaker C: Gold. [00:49:12] Speaker A: Income. [00:49:13] Speaker C: An expensive bit in combat. We don't exactly have the time for these negotiations. So I can either leave you here and finish the problem myself or you can help us. Mama wants to get out. Well, okay. Five now and then. Five when it's dead. How about you can keep the thing when it's dead? Ooh, yeah. Okay. I am tired. [00:49:33] Speaker B: Okay. [00:49:35] Speaker C: If nothing else, I feel like dealing with knife, sword and the bramble brush. We have prepared me for this moment. Okay. Let's move outside. [00:49:46] Speaker A: Yeah. Stand up first. [00:49:47] Speaker C: I have this thing called. [00:49:51] Speaker B: That would work. [00:49:53] Speaker A: It's a skill feet. [00:49:54] Speaker C: It's a free action. So now I can move. [00:50:00] Speaker B: 25. [00:50:01] Speaker C: So I want to take two actions and move outside, I guess. [00:50:04] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:50:04] Speaker D: I'm gonna go ahead and. [00:50:05] Speaker C: And rage. [00:50:07] Speaker B: All right. That is your third action. [00:50:11] Speaker A: No, it isn't. [00:50:11] Speaker B: Raging is an action. [00:50:13] Speaker A: Right. She didn't double move, so she kipped up, which was free. She moved exactly 25ft, which, if that is her speed, is one movement. [00:50:21] Speaker B: Okay. [00:50:21] Speaker A: Or one action. [00:50:22] Speaker B: Yep. [00:50:22] Speaker A: And then raging is two. So she has one action left. She's not adjacent to anything, but she could. She still has an action. [00:50:29] Speaker C: So if. Even if I'm in the middle of the doorway, that's fine. [00:50:32] Speaker B: Yes. But you can't quite reach the creatures. Okay, we're 5ft in front. [00:50:39] Speaker C: I'm gonna play. Come and get me. Come at me, Crow. [00:50:44] Speaker A: What kind of abilities? Come and get me. [00:50:47] Speaker B: Interesting question. So the crew that is entangled will attempt to break out with its jaws plating at the 29 ac'd tentacle. And it does. So it breaks out. Seeing a fresh, new, delicious morsel running at it, it will attempt to pull itself up onto the land and take a swing at them. And it critically misses. Bit your tongue. You take one. Persistent bleed damage. [00:51:26] Speaker C: How do you like it? [00:51:27] Speaker B: Brianna. [00:51:28] Speaker D: Hmm? [00:51:30] Speaker B: Your turn. [00:51:31] Speaker D: All right, so I see that. See, there's somebody in the doorway. Perhaps. But there's no time to lose. She's gonna throw her javelin one more time. Cause why not? I have this cool thing. I'll keep using it. [00:51:45] Speaker B: Fuck. [00:51:45] Speaker D: How's the 24 that will hit? Okay. Good for 18 points of damage. [00:51:50] Speaker B: And you're attacking this one, right? [00:51:52] Speaker D: Correct. [00:51:53] Speaker B: One in front of Twintalon? [00:51:54] Speaker D: Yes. [00:51:55] Speaker B: Would you like to describe how you kill it. [00:51:57] Speaker D: Sure. The creature rears his head back and is about to roar. And she, quick as a flash, draws back her javelin and throws. And with a disgusting splooshing sound, it lands in the creature's eye and pierces its brain. It shudders once and then also sinks down below, being succumbed to tentacles. [00:52:24] Speaker B: That was your first action. You have two more. [00:52:28] Speaker D: My second action, I will move slightly closer. I will pretend I'm Yondu and whistle my javelin back and throw again. I guess until I get up there, I'm gonna just keep throwing it. [00:52:43] Speaker B: Well, here's the good news. Is that proof that just attacked this new person. [00:52:48] Speaker D: Yep. [00:52:49] Speaker B: Is flat footed. [00:52:50] Speaker D: Beautiful. Well, let's hope we don't fuck it up. How's it 19? [00:52:53] Speaker B: That will miss. [00:52:55] Speaker D: I figured. [00:52:56] Speaker A: So why are they flat footed? [00:52:58] Speaker B: Because of their. [00:53:02] Speaker A: That's not what it does, but. [00:53:04] Speaker B: Oh, no, it's a hits you. [00:53:05] Speaker A: Correct. But what you failed to realize is that they are still in the tentacles. So even though they broke out at the end, they would get hit again with the tentacles. [00:53:13] Speaker B: Yes. So they are still flat foot. [00:53:16] Speaker A: Correct. But we need to do some three d six extra damage. [00:53:22] Speaker B: Yes. All right. Knife sword. Three d six. Please, Mr. Sword of the knife. [00:53:27] Speaker E: I like this part. [00:53:30] Speaker A: Nice. [00:53:31] Speaker D: Stop attacking us, Dan. [00:53:33] Speaker B: 14 points of damage. All right, thank you for your turn, Mary Poppins. Next is knife sword. [00:53:43] Speaker D: I am Mary Poppins, y'all. [00:53:44] Speaker B: Mm hmm. Please don't sue us, Disney. Uh. [00:53:48] Speaker E: Smoldering rage in my eyes. I'm going to point at it. I'm going to extend a finger, and a beam of negative energy is going to fly from my finger towards its head. [00:54:00] Speaker B: That's a called shot. That's a minus ten. No, I'm kidding. What? That was flavor text. Oh. [00:54:11] Speaker E: Okay. Energy will fly into its general area. [00:54:15] Speaker A: There we go. [00:54:16] Speaker B: Was that a magic missile? [00:54:17] Speaker E: That was innervate innovation. So he needs to make a save. [00:54:23] Speaker B: Oh, okay. What type of save? [00:54:24] Speaker E: Fortitude. Save. Oh, wait. Wait a minute. Oh, well, that's not good. [00:54:30] Speaker C: What? [00:54:31] Speaker E: Never mind, never mind. I missed. Didn't read the thing clearly enough. [00:54:35] Speaker B: Okay. [00:54:36] Speaker E: And. Yeah. Oh, new person would get affected too. [00:54:42] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:54:43] Speaker A: Is it a line effect? [00:54:44] Speaker B: It is a 30 foot line. [00:54:46] Speaker A: Oh. [00:54:47] Speaker E: Hey. Welcome to the group die. [00:54:50] Speaker D: Right. Please. No. [00:54:53] Speaker E: Sorry, my bad. [00:54:55] Speaker A: It is all good. [00:54:57] Speaker D: Please don't kill our new friend. [00:54:59] Speaker B: Mercenary. You're saying mercenary? Wrong. [00:55:02] Speaker E: Oops. [00:55:02] Speaker C: Yeah. The first thing they did try to do is negotiate. [00:55:05] Speaker A: Negotiate from a point of weakness. [00:55:09] Speaker C: Yeah. I don't think you have the upper hand here, my dear. [00:55:12] Speaker E: Okay. I'm going to stare at the creature menacingly and send an attack seagull at it. Well, it'll see that we won't as I cast phantasmal killer. [00:55:26] Speaker D: Okay, Seagull, stop it. Now. [00:55:35] Speaker B: Phantasmal killer has gotten so much better. [00:55:38] Speaker E: So you take a will save. [00:55:39] Speaker B: Will save. I'll let you know that that is their lowest save. [00:55:43] Speaker A: Makes sense. [00:55:43] Speaker E: That's why they will crit. [00:55:45] Speaker C: I do just love that his phantasmal. [00:55:47] Speaker B: Killer is a secret 19. [00:55:50] Speaker C: Isn't your spill DC a 29? [00:55:52] Speaker E: It is. [00:55:53] Speaker C: Is that a critical, critical failure? [00:55:55] Speaker E: Ooh, goody. [00:55:56] Speaker B: Oh, okay, so now. Now I must attempt a fortitude save. [00:56:00] Speaker C: Oh. [00:56:01] Speaker B: Oh. It was on a one for a second. I was terrified. Okay, so I pass by Fort Saint. [00:56:09] Speaker E: But you still take twelve D six. [00:56:11] Speaker A: And it's fleeing to the end of its next turn. And it's frightened four and it can't move. Yeah, so let's just. Again, panic mode. Well, let's see if it's dead. [00:56:21] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [00:56:23] Speaker C: Twelve D six is. [00:56:24] Speaker E: Yeah, sorry, I'm savoring clicking each extra die into this. Okay, here we. [00:56:30] Speaker C: I mean, to be fair, I would, too. [00:56:32] Speaker B: Oh, my God. That's just a hailstorm of dice. [00:56:36] Speaker C: Now all of a sudden, I want to play Warhammer. [00:56:39] Speaker B: Knife, sword. Would you like to describe your kill? [00:56:41] Speaker E: So I guess from your perspective, it would be this amorphous shape, vaguely winged bird like, swooping down, pecking its eyes out, crawling through its throat. You know, from its perspective, it's a giant seagull eating its intestines through its mouth. No, no, it went. It went the other way. [00:57:04] Speaker C: Oh, my. Great, great, great. [00:57:06] Speaker E: It's all about. [00:57:07] Speaker A: Sure. Yeah. I mean, it is the most fearsome creature imaginable to the target. So, yeah, Seagull, ripping your intestines out through your butthole, probably pretty terrifying. [00:57:16] Speaker C: Yeah. Butthole seagull. Is that like, the new crust punk bandaid? [00:57:20] Speaker E: This seagull is the size of, like, a 737. [00:57:23] Speaker A: Sir. [00:57:24] Speaker B: Oh, my God. All right, Shadowrun. [00:57:29] Speaker D: There we go. Sorry, it took me forever to figure out what else. Used a thousand d six s. Yep. [00:57:37] Speaker A: Yeah, you better get a bucket. [00:57:38] Speaker B: Yep, yep. Well, with that, combat is over. [00:57:44] Speaker D: Okay, does anybody hurt? How badly are you hurt? [00:57:47] Speaker E: I'm hurt a lot. I need to go into my room. [00:57:50] Speaker C: Help. Please. [00:57:51] Speaker A: No, Taysani is still bleeding. [00:57:53] Speaker C: No. Help. Tisani. I'll have an elixir. [00:57:57] Speaker E: I would like to roll a perception. [00:57:59] Speaker B: Okay, I want to see if the. [00:58:01] Speaker E: New person's backpack is any bigger than Brianna's. [00:58:05] Speaker C: Oh, man, I feel like knife starts cruising for a bruising. [00:58:09] Speaker D: Right. [00:58:09] Speaker B: Okay, so hang on. We got a couple things going on here. Knife surgery gonna take two. Bleed at the end of your turn. Please roll a recovery check. All right, it looks like a 19 will pass, so you're no longer bleeding. Tasani is gonna take a d six. Oh, so she's gonna take six. Can I get a recovery check? [00:58:30] Speaker A: Sure, sure. [00:58:31] Speaker B: Give me another check. [00:58:33] Speaker A: Another check for what? [00:58:34] Speaker B: Recovery check. [00:58:35] Speaker A: I just did. Unless you did it again. [00:58:37] Speaker C: I mean, does bleed stop if you get healed, or is it you have to recover? [00:58:41] Speaker A: I think you have to be healed to full, but, like, we can be doing. [00:58:44] Speaker B: Yeah, that's true. Saraya, let's go into exploration mode. Well, I'm drinking one of next week. [00:58:54] Speaker D: You got us then. All right, all right. [00:58:58] Speaker E: Right in the middle of my turn. [00:59:01] Speaker D: Hopefully we'll know who exactly joined us this weekend. [00:59:06] Speaker B: Thank you for listening to the crack Die podcast. Background sound effects provided by sirenscape.
