[00:00:39] Speaker A: Welcome to the 74th episode of the Cracked Die podcast. Yay. Woo. [00:00:48] Speaker B: We're gonna die. [00:00:49] Speaker C: Sorry. Yeah, I'm just looking at our map and going, oh, we gonna die. [00:00:54] Speaker D: I've been very excited for this episode all week. Honestly, I don't know why. I'm pretty sure we're gonna die. [00:01:01] Speaker C: Matt is like, I have created chaos, and I am so excited to combat it. [00:01:07] Speaker D: I mean, there's stuff happening. Like, the plot is rapidly moving at this point. It's not just us wandering around in the jungle every week trying to find a pillar so I can distract people and Brianna can shove it down. And then we just do that again. Like, there's. We're at the fortress. Like, we finally got to the plotty part, so hopefully we'll. [00:01:24] Speaker C: Could it be said that we made it through the wilderness? [00:01:27] Speaker D: We have made it through the wilderness. [00:01:28] Speaker C: We made it through. [00:01:30] Speaker B: Didn't know how lost I was. [00:01:32] Speaker C: Exactly. Thank you. [00:01:33] Speaker D: Till I found you is this a song? [00:01:34] Speaker B: It is, yes. And quite possibly. [00:01:37] Speaker D: Look at you two being song people. [00:01:40] Speaker B: I was gonna say quite possibly our next title. [00:01:43] Speaker A: Quite possible. I just, you know, at the end of our last episode, we went out with a big old bang. [00:01:50] Speaker D: Literally. [00:01:51] Speaker A: Literally. [00:01:51] Speaker C: Literally, yeah. [00:01:52] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:01:53] Speaker A: So last time you guys started exploring this fortress and you fought some things, you dealt with a stone statue in the front, dealt with some boggards and things like that on the inside, opened the door, saw a bunch of boggars, and had the brilliant idea of using one of the barrels that Gerhard Pendergast had. Rolled it down, Saraya threw a firebomb, it exploded. And I believe the quote of Matt was, I vastly underestimated how powerful this was as you blew out walls, straight walls of this fortress. You can now see outside as we left, you saw three heads pop around the corner and you heard a lone guitar drone. [00:02:51] Speaker B: Hmm. [00:02:51] Speaker C: Are we talking, like, a thrilling sting? [00:02:55] Speaker D: How high does a guitar drone fly? [00:02:58] Speaker A: Well, the height of this is, like, 25ft, so I'm gonna say the guitar drone flies about 20. [00:03:06] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. [00:03:07] Speaker E: Well, legally, it's allowed to fly to 400ft because mostly aircraft fly at 500. So you need to have that 100 foot barrier. [00:03:14] Speaker D: Thank you, Rob. [00:03:14] Speaker C: If you can get 400ft in the air through a 25 foot ceiling, I'm impressed. [00:03:18] Speaker A: Well, throw another barrel. [00:03:20] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:03:22] Speaker C: Look, you gave an alchemist the chance to use explosives. [00:03:26] Speaker A: I mean, I did. [00:03:28] Speaker D: Also, also, nothing says sneak attack like rolling a barrel into the middle of a group of people and making it blow up. So I think you've played to the strength of this party. In general. [00:03:38] Speaker A: I don't think I can put this off anymore. [00:03:40] Speaker D: Oh, darn. [00:03:41] Speaker A: I think we're gonna have to jump into this chaos. [00:03:47] Speaker D: Let's do it. Let's move this shit along. [00:03:50] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:50] Speaker D: Let's ride a chimera out of here. Or what? That's what happens, right? [00:03:53] Speaker A: Yes. [00:03:54] Speaker D: Befriend them and leave. [00:03:55] Speaker A: Never ending story style. Yeah. Okay, let me get everyone to roll initiative. No pressure. [00:04:04] Speaker C: I may have to change mine because I'm not so sure that stealth is the. [00:04:09] Speaker A: Oh yeah, there is no stealth allowed on this initiative. It is all perception that seems. [00:04:16] Speaker B: Well, you did just explode. [00:04:18] Speaker C: We did kind of just blow out the whole damn wall. [00:04:22] Speaker A: Christine, what did you get? [00:04:24] Speaker C: I got a 25. [00:04:25] Speaker D: Matt, I rolled a five for a 22. [00:04:28] Speaker A: And Rob, 28. Oh. Oh my Jesus. [00:04:35] Speaker D: How does I feel? [00:04:36] Speaker C: Like he always has the first initiative, which is amazing for his character, but. [00:04:42] Speaker A: Knife, sword or Brianna like to go first? [00:04:45] Speaker B: Um, Rob, do you have a preference? [00:04:49] Speaker E: I don't know what I'm doing. [00:04:50] Speaker B: Yeah, same, honestly. So you can go first. [00:04:53] Speaker E: Okay. [00:04:53] Speaker D: I hold my action well, I was. [00:04:56] Speaker C: Gonna say if we have knife, sword, gravity well, everything, we at least know what we're fighting. [00:05:00] Speaker E: Okay. I'm always up for a good gravity well. Move over here. [00:05:04] Speaker A: Well, hang on, hang on, hold up. You don't actually go first, sir. [00:05:08] Speaker E: Okay, where was I? [00:05:09] Speaker B: Here. [00:05:09] Speaker A: At the start of this episode, everyone gets a hero point. Woohoo. I also want to say that everyone gets another hero point because that was kind of cool and awesome for the bomb. [00:05:22] Speaker D: Okay, so what I heard was you guys made a huge mistake and are gonna need some extra luck. I don't know if that's what you said. That's what I heard. [00:05:29] Speaker A: I mean, six of one, half dozen of the other. [00:05:33] Speaker C: Yay. [00:05:34] Speaker A: Everyone has two hero points to start off. [00:05:39] Speaker C: Cool. [00:05:39] Speaker A: So nice, right? [00:05:41] Speaker C: I'm scared. [00:05:41] Speaker D: Wait, can the listeners donate bits to give us more hero points? [00:05:44] Speaker A: Unfortunately that only works on our twitch show absalom. [00:05:48] Speaker D: In order, twitch.com cracked. Die. [00:05:51] Speaker C: Yes, every third Saturday. [00:05:53] Speaker D: Actually, that's not true. It's twitch tv. Crackdye. Yes, every third Saturday. Yeah. [00:05:57] Speaker A: The chimera that peaked its head around the corner. Heads around the corner is going to go first because it rolled higher than us. Woo hoo. [00:06:07] Speaker D: That's what happens when you have three sets of eyes. [00:06:09] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, its perception has to be a little higher. [00:06:11] Speaker A: Yeah, actually I lied. Something that you cant see goes first. [00:06:16] Speaker D: Oh no, its never good. [00:06:18] Speaker A: Theyre going to move. Well, see, this is what happens when you blow a hole in the side of three rooms. [00:06:27] Speaker B: I mean, clearly, we open things up. It's a party now. [00:06:31] Speaker C: Hell, yeah. [00:06:34] Speaker D: See, if I was a bard, now's the time to get some house music going. [00:06:37] Speaker A: Okay, now the chimera with its three heads, shaking its three heads. Cause it's like, what just happened? B moves. [00:06:49] Speaker D: Oh, it closed down. [00:06:50] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:51] Speaker B: I thought we could talk, maybe have a cup of tea. [00:06:53] Speaker D: Who knows? Maybe he comes down and breaks out his tea set. [00:06:55] Speaker C: Right? That'd be great. That'd be so good. [00:06:57] Speaker B: Probably. [00:06:57] Speaker A: I mean, doesn't Saraya have tea? Lore? [00:07:00] Speaker C: I do. My favorite dumb skills that I have. [00:07:04] Speaker D: Ha ha. Chimera, too fat to get through. The door. Fatty, fatty, two by four, can't get through. What is it, the barnyard door? Something like that. [00:07:11] Speaker C: The dungeon door. [00:07:12] Speaker D: Yeah, there we go. [00:07:14] Speaker A: Sound like that. I need everybody. Well, hang on. Let me. [00:07:21] Speaker D: Let me make sure it's an 80 foot cone so we all get hit. [00:07:25] Speaker A: It's a 30 foot cone, so, yeah. Everybody, everybody, please make a reflex. Save. [00:07:31] Speaker D: Everybody save. Everybody save. [00:07:34] Speaker A: As you see the dragon head, take a deep breath. [00:07:39] Speaker D: Oh, no, I love that I'm in front and I'm probably gonna take nothing from this. [00:07:43] Speaker B: Okay, that could have been worse, but, well, remember, we. We all have our fire helping. [00:07:49] Speaker D: That's true. [00:07:50] Speaker C: Oh, that's right. It's a fire reduction. Fine. [00:07:52] Speaker B: Yeah, I believe so. [00:07:53] Speaker A: Yes. [00:07:54] Speaker D: Everybody with knife, sword. He doesn't have a ring of the fire protection club, I don't think. [00:07:58] Speaker E: What? [00:07:58] Speaker B: Yeah, but he's fine. [00:08:00] Speaker D: He's probably fine. [00:08:01] Speaker A: Okay, but let me. [00:08:03] Speaker C: I am gonna say, though, like, it totally makes sense that Twintellon gets missed because, like, you just throw yourself on the floor and it doesn't get. [00:08:10] Speaker D: Well, that's the thing. I'm being very close to the beginning of the cone. I can move very slightly and miss the entire thing because there's only a little bit near me. [00:08:17] Speaker A: All right, Christine, what did you get? [00:08:19] Speaker C: I got a 24. [00:08:21] Speaker A: That is a fail. Would you like to use a hero point? [00:08:24] Speaker C: That's a fail. Crap. I mean, it was a nine on the die. I think I'll save it because I'm still at full health. [00:08:31] Speaker A: Okay, hi o, what did you roll? [00:08:34] Speaker B: I rolled a 25, but with my bulwark, it gives me a plus one. So a 26. [00:08:41] Speaker A: 26 will pass. [00:08:44] Speaker D: Oh, wow. Saraya, you were so close. [00:08:46] Speaker C: I missed it by two, maybe even one. [00:08:52] Speaker A: Matt, what is your save? [00:08:55] Speaker D: It doesn't matter. I got a 35, so I, like, quadruple crit succeeded. It's fine. [00:09:01] Speaker A: You're fine. [00:09:02] Speaker D: Okay, twin Talon. Like, matrix to the side, watches the go past his face. [00:09:06] Speaker E: So I go from looking at twin talents back to a fireball in my face, and I'm too scared to move. I got a 23. [00:09:14] Speaker A: You do have hero points. Cause that is a fail. Would you like to reroll that, considering. [00:09:18] Speaker E: I'm down, like, 20 hit points? Sure. Let's try that. [00:09:21] Speaker A: Okay, let me gobble up a hero point from you like a turkey. [00:09:26] Speaker E: And here goes. Nope. [00:09:28] Speaker D: Ooh. [00:09:28] Speaker A: 21. [00:09:29] Speaker E: Give me the sunburn. [00:09:30] Speaker A: A gout of fire rushes forward. Soraya and knife sword take 37 points of damage. [00:09:37] Speaker E: I'm dead. [00:09:38] Speaker C: Ouch. [00:09:39] Speaker D: Minus five for Soraya, right? [00:09:41] Speaker A: Yes. Minus five for Soraya. [00:09:43] Speaker C: So 32. [00:09:44] Speaker D: Are you actually unconscious? [00:09:46] Speaker E: I only have 35 hit points, so I'm negative two. [00:09:48] Speaker D: Okay, so second edition, there are no negatives. It's just you go to zero and you fall unconscious. [00:09:52] Speaker E: Okay. [00:09:53] Speaker A: Brianna. [00:09:54] Speaker B: Yes. [00:09:54] Speaker A: You take 19 points. [00:09:56] Speaker B: Okay. [00:09:56] Speaker A: And let's go to dying. Knife sword has the dying condition. The good news is knife sword now jumps up in the initiative to right before the chimera. [00:10:09] Speaker D: Why does he have so many conditions on him at one time? [00:10:11] Speaker A: Because he falls down prone. [00:10:12] Speaker D: One of them looks like a Pokemon. [00:10:14] Speaker E: I gotta catch em all. [00:10:15] Speaker C: Yeah, that's why that one looks like a pokemon. It's the gotta catch them all condition. [00:10:20] Speaker D: Okay. [00:10:20] Speaker A: I was too young. So that was the Chimeras turn. So let's move to the second chimera's turn. [00:10:28] Speaker C: There's two of them? [00:10:30] Speaker A: Yep. The good news is it can't make it out to you guys because there's stuff in the way. [00:10:36] Speaker C: Like a whole other chimera. [00:10:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. And then something that you can't see moves. Brianna, it is your turn. [00:10:45] Speaker C: Ow. [00:10:47] Speaker B: Well, fuck you, Chimera. Is there anywhere I can step forward and protect my friends and also wail at this thing? [00:10:54] Speaker A: Yes. [00:10:55] Speaker B: Cool. So I'm gonna do a step in front of twin Talon, and I'm going to say I'm smiting this creature. [00:11:03] Speaker A: Okay. So when you move there, that would trigger an attack of opportunity. [00:11:09] Speaker D: Why? She used the step action. [00:11:11] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. She did. You're right. I'm sorry. So go ahead and swing away or smite away. [00:11:17] Speaker B: How's a 22? [00:11:18] Speaker A: A 22 will miss. [00:11:20] Speaker B: Okay, would you like to hear once more? Ah, yeah. Let's hear a point. [00:11:24] Speaker D: Get it? [00:11:25] Speaker B: Let's try it once more. 35. [00:11:28] Speaker A: That will hit. [00:11:29] Speaker D: Oh, thank goodness. [00:11:30] Speaker B: That's what I thought. [00:11:32] Speaker C: Right? That misses. We're just gonna walk away now if. [00:11:36] Speaker D: We close the door. Do they have object permanence? Weirdness like those air swimming worm things. [00:11:43] Speaker B: To have about 20 damage, plus an additional four good damage. So 24 total. [00:11:49] Speaker A: It eats it. Nom, nom, nom, nom. What? It takes it. [00:11:52] Speaker B: Okay. Does it also get damage for the four. Good. [00:11:55] Speaker A: It does. Okay, something you don't see moves. Saraya? [00:12:04] Speaker C: I am. I'm gonna recall some knowledge if I can. [00:12:08] Speaker A: Go ahead. Absolutely. Arcana or nature? Your choice. [00:12:12] Speaker C: Arcana. [00:12:13] Speaker A: So this is a chimera. You may ask me two questions. [00:12:18] Speaker C: Um, resistances. [00:12:20] Speaker A: Uh, let's see. Resistances. Resistance to slashing damage and resistant to fire damage. [00:12:30] Speaker C: Okay. Special attacks. [00:12:33] Speaker A: Well, it has a breath weapon. I think you knew that already. [00:12:37] Speaker C: I'm sure it has other things now. [00:12:39] Speaker A: Yes. It has something called poison bite, and its tail can deliver diseases. [00:12:48] Speaker C: All right, well, I'm going to relay that to the rest of the group. So it's. It's resistant to fire and slashing, you said? [00:12:53] Speaker A: Yes. [00:12:53] Speaker C: Try to stab it or bludgeon it. Don't try to just cut into it. Aside from the fire, it can also poison you and give you disease. Be careful. And from a thick in action, I'm not gonna use an alchemist fire. Let's do an acid flask. [00:13:08] Speaker A: Okay. [00:13:09] Speaker D: My sword is down next to you. [00:13:10] Speaker C: That's true, but I have a third action. [00:13:12] Speaker A: Okay. [00:13:13] Speaker C: And I think I don't. [00:13:14] Speaker D: I don't have any. [00:13:15] Speaker C: I mean, I'd have to shove, like, an elixir of life down his throat if I was gonna do anything. [00:13:20] Speaker D: Well, for your third action, couldn't you give Jasper two actions and then he could help him, maybe? [00:13:24] Speaker C: Yes, because he is my lab assistant and has manual dexterity. So I'm gonna hit him with the acid blast. That's a 34. [00:13:31] Speaker A: That will hit. [00:13:33] Speaker C: Thank God. I was gonna say if, like, 35 is a threshold to hit, I'll just cry. So it is one acid damage, two acid splash, and then seven is the persistent for this round. So my third action, I will give Jasper two actions. He can make alchemy, and he can take a second action to administer it to. To knife sword. So knife sword has a moderate. Not a moderate, a minor elixir of life. Let me roll with the heels on that. [00:14:00] Speaker A: Thanks. [00:14:01] Speaker C: So, knife sword, you heal 15? [00:14:04] Speaker D: Yes, my lord. [00:14:05] Speaker A: Oh, hell. [00:14:07] Speaker C: You wake up with a weird, pink, fleshy raven perched on your chest, holding a bottle in your mouth. [00:14:17] Speaker D: I kind of imagine, since Jasper is, like, covered in reagents, that he gives you every day. He just, like, made it in his mouth and then vomited it into knife sword's mouth. [00:14:26] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Yes. Like he's feeding a baby. [00:14:28] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. [00:14:30] Speaker C: Yes. Nope. Accepted. I prefer that explanation. That's even better. [00:14:35] Speaker A: So you are no longer dying. You are now wounded. [00:14:39] Speaker C: Wounded one I do have some resistance to. You get a plus one item bonus to save throws against diseases and poisons, which is gonna be useful because. [00:14:48] Speaker A: Right. [00:14:48] Speaker C: Against the chimera. [00:14:49] Speaker A: Next up is twin tallow. [00:14:52] Speaker D: Finally. All right, I'm gonna collect my reaction so I can use it next time Brianna hits this guy. And then I would like to. I'm just gonna slash it with a dog slicer 24 to hit its flat foot at ac. [00:15:04] Speaker A: 24. Flat footed will miss. [00:15:09] Speaker B: Damn. [00:15:10] Speaker A: Would you like to hear a point. [00:15:11] Speaker D: That rolled a seven. So I think I will hear a win. I have two of them. My first attacks, my best attack, so hopefully I will use it well. How is a 33 versus its flat footed ac instead? That will hit just a regular hit. [00:15:24] Speaker A: Flat footed. 30. Oh, hang on. It's just regular hit. Sorry. Didn't mean to get your hopes up. [00:15:30] Speaker D: Okay. I have a feeling that if it was, I think it's close to a crit, because if Sean had to do. [00:15:36] Speaker A: Any math, it means it could be anything. I'm terrible at numbers. [00:15:41] Speaker C: I mean, that's true. Sean is awful at numbers. [00:15:44] Speaker D: Okay. Irregular damage. I'm assuming it does take precision damage. [00:15:48] Speaker A: Yes, it does. [00:15:49] Speaker D: Okay, so it takes 21. Slashing damage. Oof. [00:15:54] Speaker B: Get it. [00:15:55] Speaker A: All right. [00:15:56] Speaker D: Does it look like it all went through? [00:15:58] Speaker A: It does. [00:15:59] Speaker D: All right, I'm gonna look back at Saraya and then just keep attacking. [00:16:02] Speaker C: Did you give me wrong information, you jerk. [00:16:04] Speaker A: You rolled a natural one. Of course I gave you wrong information. [00:16:08] Speaker C: Hate you. [00:16:10] Speaker D: I think this one's different. I think it's not. This particular one is probably. It's probably different than normal. Fuck. 19 will miss. [00:16:20] Speaker C: Woof. [00:16:21] Speaker D: I don't know if I want to use my hero point at my last hero point now. I kind of don't. [00:16:24] Speaker A: What could be wrong with using your last hero point on the first monster? [00:16:29] Speaker D: I mean, I often use my hero points, like, very quickly, but I think I'm gonna save this one. And for my third action, I'm going to close the door. [00:16:36] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. I mean, the door is closed. Smart. [00:16:44] Speaker D: I mean, it's gonna go before we go, so it's gotta take some time to bust down the door. That's my thought. [00:16:49] Speaker C: That's very smart. That is a beautiful strategic move, Matt. [00:16:54] Speaker D: Yes. [00:16:54] Speaker A: Take a hero point. [00:16:55] Speaker D: Okay, I'll take it. [00:16:57] Speaker A: So you have two. [00:16:58] Speaker B: Nice. [00:16:59] Speaker A: You have two. No, you have three. [00:17:02] Speaker D: I have two. I just used one. I'll take three. But I should only have two. [00:17:05] Speaker A: No, no, I like. I like that. [00:17:08] Speaker C: I like the possibly one of the best strategic moves we've ever made. [00:17:14] Speaker D: Uh, yeah, actually, I think what's gonna happen is quintellan slashes it once, misses again. He kind of looks it in the eye, holds up one finger in the standard, like, give us a second. And then closes the door. No, no, no. He's holding up his one pinky. That's a weird. That's so weird. He holds up a pinky to confuse it. He's like, haha. Then he closes the door. [00:17:37] Speaker C: I was just gonna ask if that's like a. Like a cultural thing. [00:17:42] Speaker A: Nah. Okay, so someone you can't see goes then. So many options, Sepuku. Okay. Oh, that's mean. I'm gonna do it. [00:17:58] Speaker B: Oh, boy. Oh boy. [00:18:00] Speaker C: It's never good when your GM gets excited. [00:18:01] Speaker A: Speak for yourself. I think it's great you're the GM. I'm just saying I don't get to do fun things like this very often. That guitar music plays a little bit louder. [00:18:17] Speaker C: Wouldn't it be a banjo? [00:18:18] Speaker D: No, cuz I think one of the guitar ones. A banjo? [00:18:21] Speaker C: The song is dueling banjos. [00:18:24] Speaker D: Yeah, but I don't think that's right. I've chosen to think of a different thing. [00:18:32] Speaker A: Knife. Sword. It is your turn. You are laying on the ground. [00:18:35] Speaker E: Oh, well, I'm gonna use one move to stand up. Okay, quick question. Do I have to see where I'm casting something? [00:18:43] Speaker D: Yeah, you have to have line of effect to it. So you can't have like a wall in the way, typically, unless the spell specifically says you can do that. [00:18:49] Speaker E: Okay, see it? Oh, damn it. [00:18:51] Speaker A: There's no rule that says a dog can't play mask. [00:18:55] Speaker D: That's right. Air bud. [00:18:57] Speaker C: That's a deep cut. [00:19:00] Speaker A: I have a friend who was in one of those air bud movies. [00:19:03] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:19:05] Speaker A: Yes. [00:19:06] Speaker D: Were they a dog? [00:19:07] Speaker A: No, she is not. [00:19:08] Speaker D: Okay. Just asking that. [00:19:10] Speaker A: Cool. [00:19:10] Speaker D: Knife. [00:19:11] Speaker A: Sword. What are you doing? You stood up. [00:19:12] Speaker E: Yeah, I was just trying to think. Cause my plan got. Since I can't cast through the door, I could cast. You're not that far from the door. Res of res. Pillow cushion. [00:19:22] Speaker A: Silk sheeted. [00:19:26] Speaker B: I love it. [00:19:27] Speaker C: I love. I love goblin's bears. [00:19:31] Speaker D: Pretty much that. [00:19:31] Speaker E: I'm casting gravity well on the door. [00:19:34] Speaker A: Oh, geez. Oh, wait. [00:19:36] Speaker C: That's gonna pull all of us through the door. [00:19:38] Speaker D: I don't know that it does. It might just be. [00:19:40] Speaker C: Does it? [00:19:41] Speaker B: Oh, what does the word say? Yeah, wording. [00:19:45] Speaker E: You create a sphere of altered grub. All creatures and unsecured objects in the area move towards the center depending on their reflex saving turn. This follows the rules for forced movement. If there's not enough space near the center of the sphere, the creatures and objects nearer to the center move first and others move as far as they can without being blocked up to the amount set by their saving throw out. [00:20:04] Speaker A: Okay, so I've put a 30 foot sphere on the door, which is funny. [00:20:10] Speaker D: Cause he's gonna get yanked toward the door too. [00:20:12] Speaker A: Yup. [00:20:12] Speaker C: Yeah. We're all just kinda like. [00:20:14] Speaker D: He's like, hello, cushion, silk sheet bullshit. And then just hurls himself at the door. [00:20:20] Speaker E: It's more of a gut reaction than an actual thinking spell. [00:20:23] Speaker C: That seems fair, that seems accurate for. [00:20:28] Speaker A: So I need everyone to make a reflex save 27. So you succeed. So you move 5ft towards the door. [00:20:40] Speaker C: Can I move 5ft diagonally so I don't bump into twin jelly? [00:20:44] Speaker A: Actually, it said the spell says that the person nearest the middle goes first and then it extends outwards. So we'll do all the movement in a second. Twin talon. Matt, what did you roll? [00:20:56] Speaker D: So I rolled and I got a 28 and I looked it up. And previously for evasion, it mentioned like damaging effects. Like evasion was specifically for damaging effects but not other stuff. But in second edition, the. The wording is very liberal. It's just anytime you get a success, you get a critical success when you reflex him. So I had a critical success. [00:21:18] Speaker A: All right, that will work. So you move 0ft. Great. Hiya. What did Brianna roll? [00:21:24] Speaker B: I'm still trying to figure out if this would fall under the purview of bulwark since it is a reflex. Saves to avoid damaging effects. [00:21:33] Speaker A: Yes, I'll say yes, because it has the potential to be damaged. I know what you're gonna say, Matt. It's not necessarily a damage effect, but it could. [00:21:41] Speaker C: But I mean, it is gonna slam her right into the wall. [00:21:43] Speaker D: Well, if the GM wants to give us a plus one, I'm not gonna argue with him. [00:21:47] Speaker A: Right, so that's a. What did you get with a plus one. [00:21:50] Speaker B: So with a plus one I got a 32. [00:21:52] Speaker A: Okay, so that is a regular success. Okay, so you move 5ft to the wards, the door, which. Okay, you do. You're already there. Twin Talon doesn't move. Rihanna or Saraya moves diagonally. 5ft. Knife, sword. What did you get? [00:22:10] Speaker E: I got a 32. [00:22:11] Speaker A: That will succeed. So you only move forward 5ft. [00:22:14] Speaker D: What did Jasper get? [00:22:15] Speaker A: Oh yeah, what did Jasper get? [00:22:17] Speaker C: I think his thieves go off. Mine. [00:22:19] Speaker D: They are the same as yours. [00:22:20] Speaker C: Yeah, he's alright. He moves 5ft with me. [00:22:25] Speaker A: Okay. And then let's see the creature, one of my creatures. Regular ass. Regular passes. So 5ft. Boom. And my last creature reflex. Oh boy. Um, fails. So that's 15. So knife, sword causing chaos as I fully expect from you now. [00:22:50] Speaker C: Do we hear the thuds of a whole bunch of things slamming into the door? [00:22:54] Speaker A: Uh, you do hear the thud of something slamming into the door? [00:22:58] Speaker D: Do we hear the thud of something slamming into the that thing and then slamming into the door? No, unfortunately you cascade of thumps on. [00:23:04] Speaker A: The other side almost like a thumping chub. Whatever. Chumbawumba. [00:23:14] Speaker D: Say chub thumping. Because I think that's something different. [00:23:17] Speaker A: No, no, no. Chumbawumba, the band. [00:23:21] Speaker D: No, I understand, but that's not what you said. [00:23:25] Speaker C: Shawn is just here. Like I hold your life in my hands. [00:23:27] Speaker E: I get knocked down but I get up again. [00:23:31] Speaker D: Yes, Shatner. [00:23:33] Speaker A: I was gonna say. Is that William Shatner singing it? My turn to move. It's gonna move there. Then my turn to move. And it's gonna move there, then my turn to move. I don't like this. [00:23:50] Speaker D: Well, I think it's funny that the whole like the whole of this cult is foiled by doors. [00:23:55] Speaker C: Yeah. Right. [00:23:56] Speaker D: So we could just close all the doors to the inside and they would starve to death I think is what would happen. [00:24:01] Speaker E: Except you gave them a nice big hole to go in and out to forage with. [00:24:04] Speaker D: We can close all the doors to this room and then we can like camp for the night and then we starve to death. We see one night to recoup scales and hit points and stuff. [00:24:12] Speaker A: Brianna, it is your turn. [00:24:13] Speaker B: Uh, what the fuck are we doing? [00:24:17] Speaker D: I thought they would try to get through. [00:24:19] Speaker C: There were a hole in the wall. [00:24:20] Speaker D: They did nothing. [00:24:21] Speaker B: Okay, so now what? [00:24:24] Speaker D: Total shrug. [00:24:31] Speaker B: How hurt is everybody? Maybe we can take this moment to patch up before we dive back into the fray. [00:24:37] Speaker D: Flames? [00:24:38] Speaker C: Yes, the fire flames. [00:24:40] Speaker A: Actual flames. [00:24:41] Speaker C: The fire hurt. [00:24:43] Speaker B: She'll take off her cloak and like pat him down. Roll. That's my act. My turn I guess. [00:24:50] Speaker C: I don't know. Having knife swords. Drop and roll. [00:24:55] Speaker D: Are you doing like can you battle medicine him or. [00:25:00] Speaker A: Yeah, he's not on fire actually. [00:25:02] Speaker B: Okay, cool. I'm going to lay on hand, Tim. Why not? [00:25:08] Speaker A: It does smell like burnt hair. [00:25:11] Speaker B: Does he have hair? [00:25:12] Speaker A: Not anymore. [00:25:13] Speaker C: Quick question, Sean. [00:25:15] Speaker A: Yes? [00:25:16] Speaker C: In all of the movings of things did the resist damage happen at the end of its turn or mine? [00:25:22] Speaker D: Its turn. [00:25:24] Speaker A: Yeah. It starts at the. It takes it at the start of its turn and then saves at the end of its turn. [00:25:29] Speaker C: So if it's Brianna's turn, did it take its damage? [00:25:32] Speaker A: It did. Now. [00:25:35] Speaker C: I believe I have to roll my two d six again. [00:25:37] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right. Two, D, six. [00:25:39] Speaker C: Cause it's not a. It's not a. [00:25:41] Speaker A: Please, please. Two d six. Less than seven. That's what I'm hoping for. [00:25:46] Speaker C: Really. Does it have acid resistance? Seven. [00:25:49] Speaker A: So it takes some damage and then I get to make a fortitude save. [00:25:55] Speaker C: DC 26. [00:25:56] Speaker A: I rolled a total of 22. So it's still acidic. Brianna, you would like to lay on. [00:26:03] Speaker B: Hands in that scurfuffle since, um. It is still. It's still being smited and it didn't attack me, it'll still have the tag of being smoted. Smoted. Smite. Smut. I can't brain right now. [00:26:16] Speaker E: It has been smutted. [00:26:17] Speaker C: Smitten isn't right, is it? [00:26:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:26:18] Speaker D: Because it didn't attack you. So it continues to be smote. [00:26:22] Speaker A: Yes. Smart. [00:26:24] Speaker B: It continues to be smutty. Wait, no, that's not right. [00:26:28] Speaker D: Just changed a lot. [00:26:31] Speaker E: We should rechange the number back to 69 now. [00:26:36] Speaker C: Okay. Where were we? [00:26:38] Speaker B: Lay on hands. Do you lay on hands on a willing, living target? You score six hit points if the target is one of your allies. They also get a plus two status bonus to AC for one round. If it is heightened, the amount of healing increases by six. So it is already heightened because it's a focus spell. [00:26:55] Speaker D: It's four times six or 24. [00:26:57] Speaker B: Okay, so he just takes 24 healing back. Correct. As well as a two bonus to AC. Plus two. Is that also. Does that also scale or is it just the amount of hit points that restores? [00:27:08] Speaker D: Unfortunately, it's just the amount of hit points. It would be nice to get a plus eight bonus to AC, but, yeah, plus two is basically the biggest bonus they give to almost anything. [00:27:17] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:27:17] Speaker B: Okay, well, there you go. Yeah. 24 points of healing back. [00:27:20] Speaker A: I gave knife sword back 20 points. Four points of healing. Okay. [00:27:24] Speaker B: All right. And I guess that's it. I don't know. [00:27:27] Speaker C: Does that get rid of the wounded condition? I forget. [00:27:30] Speaker D: No. [00:27:31] Speaker C: Okay. So you have to get healed to full. [00:27:33] Speaker D: I think you have to have a medicine check. Like a treatment. Treatment. That's it. Thank you. [00:27:37] Speaker C: Okay. [00:27:37] Speaker A: Okay, so then I have some other things that you don't see doing. Some things that come naturally. Syria. [00:27:45] Speaker C: And the door still has not been opened on the other side of. [00:27:48] Speaker A: Correct. [00:27:50] Speaker C: I mean, I could give more elixirs of life. I mean, I'm sure I could use one and I'm sure I could use another one. Or I could open the door, throw a bomb in and shut it again. Any, any suggestions? [00:28:03] Speaker B: I don't. I don't know. [00:28:05] Speaker D: So they haven't opened the door. Do you think they're coming around behind us or they're trying to come around behind us? [00:28:10] Speaker B: Can they not open doors? [00:28:11] Speaker D: I don't know. I think they think they're trying to be smart. [00:28:14] Speaker C: Gonna move here. Oh, I see something. Something's in this room. I think you might be right. Twin talent. [00:28:22] Speaker D: I figure if they don't open the door, they're gonna. They think we're just gonna wait here infinity times. [00:28:26] Speaker C: So I moved to the other door, into the back to where the ribcage room was such a weird statement. So, yes, I moved back away from the door that leads to the exploded room and towards ones we had explored previously. And it seems like Twintellen is correct and they are starting to sneak up behind us. [00:28:44] Speaker A: What you see is a small creature. You have seen one of these before. It has the wings of a dragon and the tail of a dragon. But the face of a churica. [00:29:00] Speaker C: Don't like that. [00:29:02] Speaker D: We've seen this before. They're small, right? [00:29:06] Speaker C: I'm. [00:29:06] Speaker A: Yes, they are small. [00:29:07] Speaker D: Yeah. I remember this thing because we were like, so scared of it until we realized it was the size of a half leg and they were like, oh, let's just kick it, I guess. [00:29:15] Speaker C: Kind of cute. Yeah. I'm gonna throw a frost vial at it. [00:29:20] Speaker A: Okay. [00:29:20] Speaker C: As my second action, 33 will hit. Not crit. [00:29:26] Speaker A: Not crit. [00:29:27] Speaker C: Okay. It does have a minus ten foot penalty movement. Now it takes twelve cold damage and two more cold splash. I'm gonna step back a little bit so I'm not the only one that can see this thing. [00:29:43] Speaker A: You don't want to hug? [00:29:44] Speaker C: No, not really. So, yeah, move to tact. [00:29:46] Speaker A: Move, twin Talon. [00:29:48] Speaker D: All right, so twin Talon is going to look at Brianna. Since she only took like one action this turn, could we say that she, like, raced her? We could have communicated a little bit before we hurried onto everybody else's turn. [00:30:01] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Lay on hands is a single action. I am so sorry. Would you like to do anything else? I thought it was two actions. I. [00:30:08] Speaker B: To be fair, I was also speaking with, with you guys as like, trying to communicate. So I don't know if that also encapsulates two more actions or something. [00:30:16] Speaker D: Only if you talk, like, a long time. [00:30:19] Speaker A: No, not at all you may, if you start, like, performing a soliloquy so you still have two actions that you may use. Now, because I'm a jerk, I'm still. [00:30:29] Speaker B: At a loss as to what to do. So I will also be sure to raise my shield. And should anything present itself, then I will move to defend my party as the. Okay, tank. [00:30:39] Speaker D: Yeah. Good. So I guess Twittal was probably gonna say, like, on his turn, like, he'll be like, okay, I'm gonna try to open the door again. Be ready, because there's probably something right there. We heard thump against the door. Okay, so then when it's twin Talon's turn, he is going to open the door. [00:30:54] Speaker A: Okay. Mm hmm. There's nothing there. [00:30:56] Speaker D: We just heard it smash against the door, though. [00:30:58] Speaker A: I know, it's weird. [00:31:00] Speaker B: Did it bounce back? [00:31:01] Speaker A: Is that a thing? [00:31:01] Speaker D: It's not. Twin Talon is gonna lash out at the spot the Camaro was in. [00:31:06] Speaker A: Okay, hang on, hang on. Make a flat check. Okay, DC 1119 new. They now make an attack roll. [00:31:15] Speaker D: Ah, shit. It was on a 15 and rolled back to a 724 versus its flat footed ac. [00:31:20] Speaker A: That will miss. [00:31:22] Speaker D: I have two. Two hero points. I'm gonna roll again. [00:31:24] Speaker E: Okay, remember, folks, to reuse. [00:31:27] Speaker D: Are you fucking kidding me? I hate hero points so much. [00:31:34] Speaker A: Would you like to tell everyone what you rolled, Matt? [00:31:36] Speaker D: A natural one. I feel like that's bullshit. Like, there should be something where, like, if you pull a hero point and it's a critical failure, like, you just. [00:31:44] Speaker C: Fail, I think it shouldn't apply. [00:31:47] Speaker A: So go ahead and draw one of those crit miscards. You know, the ones that our lovely listeners continuously submit. Uh huh. [00:31:55] Speaker B: Oh, boy. [00:31:56] Speaker D: Melee off balance. You take a minus two circumstance penalty to attack rolls until the end of your next turn. [00:32:02] Speaker A: Not terrible. [00:32:03] Speaker D: It's still bullshit. I did a good thing. I got a bonus, and that hurt me. [00:32:12] Speaker A: You still have another action? [00:32:14] Speaker D: I do. [00:32:16] Speaker C: Sounds like he's getting ready to throttle. [00:32:18] Speaker D: Yeah, that's my. I'll look to Brianna, be like, should I close the door? [00:32:24] Speaker B: Uh, sure. I don't know what to do. I'm at a loss. Sorry, guys. [00:32:29] Speaker A: I'm just trying to think. [00:32:30] Speaker D: I'm pretty sure. I mean, with metagame wise, we know that it's there and invisible, or else I wouldn't have been able. The flat check is what that's for. I'm almost positive. Cause it hit against the door, we can't see it, and I got to roll a flatjack eleven, which means it's like if it was invisible and I was tagging the correct square, that's what would happen. So I think it's there. So it's a matter of I can either try to attack again, in which case it gets to go before we get to go, but that could be fine. But then again, you get to attack it too, or I close the door and we. Protect us from the attacks. From it. All right. [00:33:02] Speaker B: Go ham. [00:33:02] Speaker D: Ham it is. I will attack again. I mean, there's no way I get two natural ones in a row, right? [00:33:10] Speaker A: I mean, not at all. I think you're gonna get a 20. [00:33:13] Speaker D: Well, you're wrong. I got a 21. Minus two is a 19. That's a mess. [00:33:18] Speaker A: That, that is a regular miss. [00:33:20] Speaker D: I was very excited for this week. That's my whole turn. Open the door, go off balance. You know, the rogue with the 19 dexterity is off balance. And, uh. Sorry. I guess I did confirm it's invisible in there. Good enough. Good ish. Who knows? Oh, now something's behind me. Did that. Did that walk into the room or did it just appear there? No, it walked into the room from behind us. [00:33:40] Speaker A: Yep, it walked through the door. The reason things haven't been doing anything is they've had to move. [00:33:45] Speaker D: Yeah, they're coming around the back. [00:33:47] Speaker C: I am very glad I still stepped away from the toy. [00:33:50] Speaker B: I'm sorry. I said let's go, ham. [00:33:53] Speaker D: No, it's. It's fine. It's. It is what it is. Yep. [00:33:57] Speaker A: Does a 35 hit you? [00:34:01] Speaker D: Yep. [00:34:01] Speaker A: So from behind, a wash of energy hits you for six points of damage? [00:34:09] Speaker B: No, it doesn't. I liberate him. [00:34:10] Speaker D: Give me my hit points back, Sean. [00:34:12] Speaker A: Haha. I'm doing it. Geez. [00:34:14] Speaker D: Thank you. [00:34:14] Speaker A: There you go. [00:34:15] Speaker B: No, it's my whole purpose. Be the shield. [00:34:17] Speaker A: I was gonna describe something and then. [00:34:20] Speaker B: Nope. [00:34:20] Speaker A: Okay, fine. [00:34:21] Speaker B: You can describe it if you want. And then how I deflect it. [00:34:25] Speaker A: So coming from this creature's hands, a single three speared lance comes out and Brianna throws her shield in front of it and it dissipates against. [00:34:40] Speaker D: Damn it. [00:34:43] Speaker C: Something is fucking with us. Between the guitar and. [00:34:46] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:47] Speaker A: Okay. It is. Now this. I hope you guys understand how many creatures I have to look at right now. [00:34:56] Speaker D: Is it. Is it bigger than a bread box? Okay. Yes. [00:35:02] Speaker C: Animal, vegetable or minerals? [00:35:04] Speaker A: So. Oh, the door is open, right? [00:35:08] Speaker D: The door in front of us. Yes. [00:35:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:35:11] Speaker D: All the doors are open with doors wide open. [00:35:14] Speaker A: So within range. Brianna. [00:35:17] Speaker C: Yes. [00:35:17] Speaker A: Take seven points of force damage. [00:35:21] Speaker B: I don't get to make up. [00:35:23] Speaker D: It's probably magic missile. [00:35:24] Speaker B: Okay. [00:35:24] Speaker A: Yep. As a single missile flies and hits you in the chest. [00:35:29] Speaker D: A single missile to seven damage. [00:35:32] Speaker A: Yeah. One D. Four. Plus one plus one plus casting one. Right. Oh, I'm looking at divine Lamb. I'm sorry. So you take five points of damage. Let me give you back two. [00:35:44] Speaker C: If we already know we stacked the odds against ourselves, can you not try and make it harder? [00:35:48] Speaker A: I mean, I could, but this is just my ineptitude. We're at the top of round three. How's everyone feeling? [00:35:55] Speaker D: I'm excited. [00:35:57] Speaker E: I'm ready. [00:35:58] Speaker D: Is this episode over yet? [00:35:59] Speaker A: Not yet. We've had requests to make the episodes longer. So you know. 510. 15. [00:36:08] Speaker C: It's slowed by 10ft. [00:36:09] Speaker A: Okay. It's still gonna stop there. Cause slowed by ten makes it moly move. [00:36:15] Speaker D: Moly move. [00:36:16] Speaker A: Molly. Moo mo. And you see this creature growl at you. Saraya growl back. And then. Because it's not dumb. [00:36:27] Speaker C: Oh no. Is it gonna get Jasper? [00:36:30] Speaker E: Yes. Jasper. It's going to get Jasper. [00:36:37] Speaker C: Look, he's a familiar. His hit points are way lower than all of yours. [00:36:42] Speaker A: I don't know if I want to do that. [00:36:44] Speaker C: Why? [00:36:44] Speaker A: Guys, do I? Yeah, I guess it's my best. That's a problem with the intelligent creatures. I need a reflex save from Jasper. Knife, sword and Brianna. [00:36:57] Speaker C: Jasper. [00:36:58] Speaker B: Okay. Come on now. [00:37:00] Speaker A: Ok. Ok. [00:37:01] Speaker B: Since it's the top of a round I can liberate whatever. [00:37:04] Speaker D: On your turn you get your reactions back. [00:37:06] Speaker A: Yeah. So you don't have them yet. [00:37:08] Speaker B: I see. I thought it was at the top of the round. [00:37:10] Speaker D: At the beginning of your turn you get a reaction in three normal actions. [00:37:13] Speaker B: 28. [00:37:13] Speaker A: If it's a. Oh, it is definitely a damaging attack. So it was a 28. [00:37:18] Speaker D: Thought it was a tea and biscotti thing. Is that not what this is? [00:37:21] Speaker A: No. All right. Nope. Well it is. It's. It's breathing biscottis at you. And I don't know about you but biscottis are really hard. So let's say it's a fire attack instead. So Brianna, you rolled a 28 that will sit succeed. [00:37:41] Speaker B: Correct. [00:37:42] Speaker A: So you're gonna take half damage. [00:37:44] Speaker D: Okay. [00:37:44] Speaker A: Saraya, what did you roll? [00:37:46] Speaker C: So Jasper got a net one. I'm gonna hero point that because I love him. [00:37:51] Speaker A: Okay. Yes it is. [00:37:54] Speaker C: No, I. [00:37:55] Speaker D: This is the first one early on. [00:37:58] Speaker C: Oh crap. I did, didn't I? [00:38:00] Speaker A: Yeah. Wait so let's see if Jasper saves. No. [00:38:05] Speaker D: You're fucking kidding me. [00:38:06] Speaker A: I got a two. Oh no, that's a 17 which is a regular fail. And knife sword. How much did you roll? [00:38:22] Speaker E: I got a 24. [00:38:24] Speaker A: That is a regular fail. Would you like to hero point it? [00:38:28] Speaker E: Sure, why not? Let's see if I get a nat one. [00:38:31] Speaker D: That's how hero points work. [00:38:32] Speaker E: Hey, 32. [00:38:34] Speaker A: 32 will regular succeed? So you're taking half damage, and this is fire. So knife, sword, and brienne take half damage. Jasper takes full damage. It is 29 points of damage is full. So that would be 24 damage, and then 20. 914. Half of is 14. Thank you, Matt. So knife, sword, and Brianna take half. [00:39:04] Speaker D: And Brianna still has the ring on. [00:39:05] Speaker C: You suddenly start to smell like there's like someone might be barbecuing a chicken. [00:39:14] Speaker A: Uh, okay, so that is that creature's turn. Knife, sword, it is your turn. Silkwear and hand model. [00:39:32] Speaker E: I'm enervating that dude. [00:39:34] Speaker A: Which one? The one that just did a fire breath on you or the one that's that shot a three headed lance at Brianna? [00:39:44] Speaker E: He didn't hit me, so. [00:39:45] Speaker A: Okay, so the breath weapon. So I need to make a fortitude save. It is a regular success. [00:39:55] Speaker D: So creature, that's persistent damage. [00:39:58] Speaker A: Yeah. Two d eight. Persistent negative damage. [00:40:02] Speaker D: So at the beginning of his turn, he will take that damage. [00:40:04] Speaker A: He'll take 14 points. [00:40:06] Speaker E: I'm gonna magic missile the guy that shot the three thing. [00:40:09] Speaker A: Okay, wait a second. [00:40:10] Speaker C: Did we skip the persistent damage on the Chimera again? [00:40:13] Speaker A: Nope. It hasn't been its turn yet. Knife sword. Because the Chimera knocked knife sword down initially, he jumps in front of it, so now he goes before that. [00:40:22] Speaker C: Okay, cool. [00:40:23] Speaker A: Three points of damage. Chimera's turn. So please, Christine, give me that persistent damage. [00:40:32] Speaker C: It's going to take three. Persistent acid come off. [00:40:36] Speaker A: All right, it takes three. Okay, it is still smoted, Brianna, because it does not attack you, and it's gonna make a fort. Save 29. [00:40:47] Speaker C: That'll do it. [00:40:48] Speaker A: Okay, I'm out of that one. Persistent. That's good. Next up is the chimera. Let's see if that's that. It's going to move. Oh, boy. Guys, it misses its friend, so. [00:41:07] Speaker C: No, no, no. [00:41:08] Speaker A: Just actually cheese. [00:41:12] Speaker E: Way to play it safe, missing your friends. [00:41:15] Speaker A: I need everyone to make a fortitude safe. [00:41:19] Speaker C: Everyone in the. [00:41:20] Speaker A: Everyone in the cone. [00:41:21] Speaker D: I think you pronounced reflex incorrectly. [00:41:23] Speaker A: No fortitude, please. [00:41:25] Speaker C: Does my poison resistance apply to Jasper? [00:41:28] Speaker A: I don't believe so. Okay, so, Christine, what did Jasper roll? [00:41:33] Speaker C: Jasper go to 24. [00:41:35] Speaker A: That will say for half damage. [00:41:38] Speaker C: I'm just praying. [00:41:39] Speaker A: That bad? [00:41:39] Speaker C: I don't want to lose Jasper. [00:41:41] Speaker A: Brianna, what did you get? [00:41:43] Speaker B: A 20. I rolled poorly. [00:41:45] Speaker A: That will fail. Would you like to use a hero point? [00:41:48] Speaker B: I used mine. [00:41:50] Speaker A: Yeah, you got two at the start of this room game. So you have one left. [00:41:54] Speaker B: Oh, sure. [00:41:55] Speaker A: Okay, go ahead and use that. That will pass. That will critically pass. So you're gonna take zero. [00:42:02] Speaker B: Good. [00:42:02] Speaker A: Knife sword, what did you roll? [00:42:04] Speaker E: I rolled a 14, but I'm gonna use toe Talon's extra hero point there. [00:42:10] Speaker A: Unfortunately, that is a critical fail. So that will be dubledamo. [00:42:14] Speaker D: Have you used both your hero points at this point? [00:42:16] Speaker E: Yeah, absolutely. Use yours. [00:42:17] Speaker D: Okay, I do have one more. [00:42:20] Speaker A: And twintalon, how did you roll? [00:42:22] Speaker D: I rolled a natural 20 for a 35. You can't see it, but I'm dancing. [00:42:27] Speaker A: So that's a critical success. [00:42:29] Speaker C: I see it in my mind's eye, Matt. [00:42:31] Speaker A: So Brianna, you're taking half. [00:42:33] Speaker D: She got a critical success. She's taking half damage. [00:42:35] Speaker A: You're taking no damage. [00:42:37] Speaker B: Yep. [00:42:37] Speaker A: Twintalon is taking no damage, knife sword is taking double damage, and Jasper is taking regular damage. [00:42:43] Speaker E: I thought he passed. [00:42:44] Speaker C: Half damage. [00:42:45] Speaker E: He got half damage. [00:42:45] Speaker A: Oh, half damage. There you go. [00:42:47] Speaker C: Half damage. [00:42:48] Speaker A: Okay, so it's 36 regular damage. [00:42:52] Speaker D: Oh, fuck. Type sword. [00:42:53] Speaker A: Oh, and this is. This is acid poison damage. [00:42:57] Speaker E: Actually, don't worry, I got it for you there, Sean. I'm down to zero now. [00:43:01] Speaker C: He has a plus one against poison. [00:43:02] Speaker A: Effects because of the half of 36 is 618. [00:43:07] Speaker C: 18. [00:43:09] Speaker A: All right, Knife sword is now dying again. Dying two now. [00:43:16] Speaker D: No. [00:43:17] Speaker A: Oh, he's dying to free knife sword. Oh, no, boy. Okay. [00:43:25] Speaker E: Knife sword is a file of ash. [00:43:27] Speaker B: Well, can I now? [00:43:28] Speaker A: Like, you can liberate him? You haven't liberated anyone this since your last turn. [00:43:33] Speaker B: All right, well, I will try. I'm not sure if it'll do any help. [00:43:37] Speaker D: How much? Because how much damage did you take versus how much hit points you have left? [00:43:40] Speaker E: 72. And I had 29. [00:43:42] Speaker D: So you would then do 62, which is still well done. [00:43:46] Speaker B: Sorry, I tried. [00:43:48] Speaker A: Now moves in front of Chimera two. Well, that's its turn, Brianna. It is now your turn. [00:43:56] Speaker B: Closing doors. [00:43:57] Speaker D: Sounds good to me. [00:43:58] Speaker B: She'll close the door. [00:43:59] Speaker C: You can lay on hands him again, can't you? [00:44:01] Speaker A: For two actions? [00:44:02] Speaker D: No. [00:44:02] Speaker C: No. Oh, you only have the one focus. [00:44:03] Speaker B: No, because I can battle feel medicine. Yeah, maybe. [00:44:08] Speaker A: Yeah, medicine checked DC 50, so plus one because of the gloves. Oh, the gloves are on there. So 17. So that's a success. So you heal two d. Eight points of damage to knife sword. [00:44:20] Speaker B: Eleven points of healing. Back to knife sword. [00:44:24] Speaker A: Plus eleven, knife sword is back to being conscious. Oh, you're ping pong. [00:44:30] Speaker B: So that's two actions. Then one to close, one to lay on hands. [00:44:35] Speaker A: Yep. [00:44:36] Speaker B: Then Brianna is going to move here and trying to focus both these creatures attention on her. [00:44:41] Speaker A: Okay, how's everyone feeling? [00:44:44] Speaker D: I'm feeling better than knife sword. [00:44:45] Speaker C: Have you noticed the, the massive shift in energy? [00:44:49] Speaker A: I know, I'm trying to. I'm feeling great. Saraya, it is your turn. [00:44:54] Speaker C: Okay, I am going to scream at this one for being so insolent and attacking my four baby bird. [00:45:02] Speaker D: Is he still alive? [00:45:03] Speaker C: He's got like two hit points. [00:45:05] Speaker A: Wow, Jasper is at two hit points. [00:45:08] Speaker C: So yeah, I'm definitely going to attack the one right in front of me with a light bomb. That's a nat 20. You don't fuck with my bird, you don't mess with my baby. [00:45:19] Speaker D: Finally. [00:45:21] Speaker C: All righty. Bomb or spell deals additional one d. [00:45:25] Speaker D: Eight force damage, so it's double damage and an additional d eight. [00:45:28] Speaker A: So it's like deadly d eight. [00:45:30] Speaker C: Awesome. So critical damage, that's gonna be 34 altogether, plus one more d eight. So give me a sec. It's 34 poison plus five force and persistent poison. [00:45:47] Speaker A: Okay. It's still alive. [00:45:50] Speaker C: It'll keep ticking. So for my second action, Jaspereze gonna fly back over to me. He's like hanging out over here now. [00:45:56] Speaker A: So your second action, it's two actions. [00:45:59] Speaker C: Just to give Jasper action. Yeah, just is to give Jasper two actions and he like flies all the. [00:46:03] Speaker A: Way across the room. [00:46:04] Speaker C: He's gonna hang out over here now where it's safe. And for my third, I'm gonna do something I don't usually do. I'm gonna telekinetic projectile. Anything loose nearby? Possibly, I don't know, something that fell on the floor, a piece of the golem. Because I think we're back out in that main room. [00:46:21] Speaker A: Yes you are. [00:46:22] Speaker C: Okay. [00:46:23] Speaker D: One of knife sword's teeth. [00:46:24] Speaker C: One of knife sword's teeth. I'm sure one has fallen out by now. For 19 to hit the ratcharak, that will miss. I figured. I tried. [00:46:32] Speaker A: That's fine. That was a very effective round. [00:46:36] Speaker C: You don't fuck with Jasper. [00:46:40] Speaker A: Twin Talon, it is your turn. [00:46:43] Speaker D: All right, so twin Talon is going to step in between the, what is labeled as a. What was that? Churica Dragon priest. Is that what it is? There's so many lab. [00:46:55] Speaker A: It's. I actually never described this creature. This is a, this is obviously a shurike judging by the size and tail and stuff like that. Except it has a woodworked mask of a dragon's face on top of it. Spiky pauldrons and a dragon tail. Instead of a standard churica or monkey looking tail. Its feet are that of a dragon as well. It looks like it started to change and got stuck halfway. [00:47:28] Speaker D: Okay, well, it could be worse. Could have a giant dragon head and a itty bitty church body. Okay, so twintal is gonna step in between the churica with its mask and knife. Sar. Knife sword, dark hole seagull teeth. And he will kind of call back over his shoulder. He'll be like, I think it's time for a tactical retreat. And then he will attack the dragon priest. [00:47:50] Speaker A: Okay, what the fuck? 21. [00:47:53] Speaker D: I guess it's flat footed. Ac. [00:47:55] Speaker A: Flat footed will hit. [00:47:58] Speaker D: Wow. [00:47:59] Speaker A: Okay, 15 points of damage plus ten. [00:48:02] Speaker D: So 25 points of damage total. [00:48:04] Speaker A: Okay. Takes the 25 points of damage. [00:48:08] Speaker D: And he'll attack again. [00:48:09] Speaker A: All right, I gotta roll better. [00:48:10] Speaker D: I keep rolling very poorly. 23 will hit. It's still flat footage anytime it's threatened by anybody. Okay, 15 more damage. [00:48:20] Speaker A: All right, it takes 15 more points of damage. [00:48:23] Speaker D: For people listening, that's 46 plus seven. So you can do that. Shitty, man. [00:48:28] Speaker A: It was great. [00:48:29] Speaker D: It's been horrible this whole episode. I've rolled very poorly, except on like, saves where I quadruple succeeded when I didn't need to. [00:48:37] Speaker A: Well, it is the creature's turn, this weird amalgamated churica. So it is going to. It reaches its hand out to twin Talon. [00:48:53] Speaker D: I do not accept your surrender. [00:48:57] Speaker A: Make a fortitude, save natural one. [00:49:00] Speaker B: No, I still have one hero point. [00:49:04] Speaker D: Because knife sword didn't actually get to use it even though he wanted to. And I can't possibly do any worse. [00:49:11] Speaker A: That's true. [00:49:12] Speaker D: Try it again. Once more with feeling. 30. [00:49:14] Speaker A: 30. That will succeed. Okay, so you're gonna take half of damage. So you take twelve points of damage as you feel your life force get drained out of you and into this creature across from you. And then it's going to step or it's going to start moving away. [00:49:41] Speaker D: I believe somebody has an attack opportunity. [00:49:42] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. [00:49:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:49:44] Speaker A: Okay, go ahead. If you would like to use your reaction as an attack of opportunity. [00:49:49] Speaker B: Yeah, okay, fair enough. [00:49:51] Speaker A: Fuck. [00:49:52] Speaker B: 20. [00:49:53] Speaker A: That will myth. So it takes a couple steps back into the rib room, as you have all been calling it. One of my creatures goes now done. We'll go to the top of the next round. And this creature that you know, Saraya and Brianna are now working on, it. [00:50:16] Speaker C: Takes two d four pers. [00:50:17] Speaker D: And it takes two d, eight. Persistent negative energy damage from knife sword. [00:50:21] Speaker A: Dark hole seagull t. Knife sword. Oh, that's right. Okay, so knife sword, go ahead and roll your two d, eight. Soraya, roll your. Whatever your persistent is. [00:50:30] Speaker C: Two persistent okay. [00:50:33] Speaker A: And nice. Or how much did you do? [00:50:35] Speaker E: Twelve. [00:50:38] Speaker A: Okay. And is still alive. [00:50:41] Speaker C: Damn it. I'm so probably killing. [00:50:43] Speaker A: It's going to rear back with its jaws and snap at Brianna. [00:50:51] Speaker B: Cool. How about it? [00:50:52] Speaker A: But we'll have, we'll have to find out what happens next week. [00:50:56] Speaker D: Maybe our dice will not be sucked now, bald dick face. Next week. [00:51:02] Speaker B: You said it wrong. [00:51:02] Speaker C: Silk. [00:51:03] Speaker B: Silk scarvese. That's what it was. [00:51:07] Speaker A: Thank you for listening to the crack Die podcast.
