For those of you who have joined us, you've learned interesting penguin facts, seen the rise of a fried pickle empire, and the failure of the new guards in the new district of Absalom. So we hope you've been enjoying it, and we really hope you continue to tune in. And if you haven't tuned in, come and join us. Who knows what we're going to do? Who knows if we'll ever be able to get these zoo animals back in their cages? All right, so next on my agenda for this opening, which seems to be going on forever. After 365 plus days, we finally have a winner for our core rulebook giveaway. Yes, we did not forget. It just took us forever to do so. Matt popped up on our Twitch, did a live drawing, as well as played a game for the community, and he drew the name N. Terry Berry. Now, n. Terry Berry. The downside to Apple podcasts is we don't have any of your contact information. I thought it gave it to us. It does not. This is my bad. And Terry Berry, please reach out to us at show crack Die podcast. Go ahead and show us a screenshot, if you don't mind, of you editing your comment so we know it's you. And we will send you out a copy of the core rulebook deluxe edition. And then you can also let us know if you want us to deface that core rule book by signing it or if you want it to stay pristine and it's plastic. We'll do that too. We'll send it out to you. Congratulations. And Terry Berry, once again, I know it took forever, but you have won the core rulebook. Okay, I know I've thrown a lot out there. Let's review number one and Terry Berry, you won the core rulebook. Let us know with a screenshot of you editing your comment on Apple Podcasts. We will send you out your copy that you won of your core rulebook, either defaced with our signatures or pristine in the plastic. That's number one. Number two, twitch tv. Cracked. Die. Lastly, last thing, I promise. What is going on with our heroes? Will they be able to survive this dragon pillar that is shooting darkness? Fire breathing monkey dragons? What is this? Let's find out as we go to the table. Welcome to the 54th episode of the. [00:06:02] Speaker B: Cracked Die podcast, and possibly the last. I mean, this time, this time it's not a joke. Like, oh, ha ha ha. People could die. No, you guys are not in a good spot. [00:06:17] Speaker C: No, we're not. [00:06:19] Speaker D: Well, fire breathing monkey demons will do that, Sean. [00:06:22] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [00:06:24] Speaker C: That is a string of words. [00:06:26] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:06:27] Speaker D: Yeah, it is. [00:06:29] Speaker E: That should not be repeated. [00:06:31] Speaker C: Oh, I know. Just fire breathing monkey demons is. It's a lot. Yeah. [00:06:36] Speaker B: Well, I'm feeling a little generous today, so I'm going to give everyone a hero point to start this session off. [00:06:43] Speaker C: He's doing that so we have to spend more to not die. If we die. [00:06:47] Speaker B: Well, I'm also hoping that you can all stabilize when you inevitably all fall down dying. And these monkey demons start devouring you. [00:06:57] Speaker D: Uh, fire breathing monkey demons. [00:06:59] Speaker B: Fire breathing monkey demons. Yeah. [00:07:01] Speaker C: Can we not forget the most important adjective? [00:07:03] Speaker B: Yeah, you're right. You're right. Small fire breathing monkey demons. Let's not forget. Um. [00:07:10] Speaker E: Ridiculous. [00:07:11] Speaker A: So before we jump into temid's turn. [00:07:15] Speaker B: Twintalon, you seem to have three hero points. Brianna, you have three hero points. [00:07:23] Speaker A: Oh, Saraya has two hero points. [00:07:26] Speaker C: I do. [00:07:27] Speaker B: Temid has two hero points. [00:07:29] Speaker F: Yep. [00:07:30] Speaker B: And Pondwatcher has one hero point. [00:07:33] Speaker G: Yep. [00:07:35] Speaker D: Only need one. [00:07:36] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:07:36] Speaker G: Do what you gotta do. [00:07:38] Speaker E: And they're not transferable, right? [00:07:40] Speaker B: Correct. Non transferable. You each have your own currency. Temid bucks do not work for Pondwatcher bucks. [00:07:48] Speaker F: Do they expire? [00:07:49] Speaker B: They do. [00:07:51] Speaker H: Previously on the Cracked Die podcast, our heroes discussed leveling up. Our heroes then continued on their exploration of the Mwangi expanse. Jungle Rennuli returned to our heroes, telling them of a pillar that attacked her. Our heroic heroes then decided to follow where she went to see what had attacked her. Our heroes then found another dragon pillar set up by the cinder claws. While attempting to deal with the said pillar, two fire breathing monkey dragons descended from the skies and attacked our heroes, burning them alive. Will our heroes survive the attack? Will they be able to disable the dragon pillar? Find out the answers to these questions and more on this episode of the Cret die podcast. [00:08:43] Speaker B: Okay, timid, you're up. [00:08:45] Speaker F: So temid, you know, he looks around and he sees kind of the situation after this, you know, the fire and the beams of light and all that stuff. And it's kind of like a war movie where he's. He's looking around and he sees all this carnage and the ground's on fire a little bit, and he looks over at Pondwatcher and he sees him kind of like soloing one of these little guys, and he, you know, he feels like even though he seems like he has quite a bit of a way to go before he. He is significantly injured, he wants to continue to help him out. So he'll use one of his divine fonts and top him up a little bit, or a lot bit, hopefully with a two action heal spell heightened to level four because it's one of my divine font, and so he gets five to ten because it's because of one of my abilities. And then also he gets plus eight hit points for every. For every level. And it's a fourth level spell, so he gets plus 24. [00:09:50] Speaker B: So five d, eight plus 24. [00:09:53] Speaker F: That's correct. No, no, I'm sorry. 48 plus 24. [00:09:58] Speaker B: D 840. Ten plus 40. [00:10:00] Speaker F: Ten. Yeah, I'm. I don't know how to do math or anything, really. [00:10:03] Speaker G: Woo. [00:10:04] Speaker B: That's still a lot of hit points. Yeah. [00:10:07] Speaker F: Pond watcher, he kind of, you know, just shoots out a quick beam. He's used to doing this a lot. And he just throws a quick beam out at Pondwatcher as he runs towards him. Gives him 43 hit points back. [00:10:19] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. [00:10:20] Speaker F: And then he does his best to kind of get close enough to help Pond water out in this battle. Like, he'll just move 20ft straight ahead and he'll put himself so that he's in a position. He's basically diagonally one square to the northeast of Pondwatcher. And they're now both on either or on one side of this creature. They're not quite far flanking it yet, but at least he's there to kind of help Pondwatcher out if need be. [00:10:51] Speaker B: Great. Wow. [00:10:51] Speaker G: I just want to say something really quick, which is that as all of his wounds disappear, there's an additional burst of light coming from Pondwatcher's halberd. As one of the runes put on it by the Kuja o starts to dispel. He has overflowing on his way. [00:11:17] Speaker E: Oh, wow. [00:11:18] Speaker F: Oh, wow. [00:11:19] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:11:20] Speaker F: So you got like 2000 hit points back is what you're saying? [00:11:22] Speaker G: Yeah, I actually. How'd you know 2000? It actually just adds plus three, but. So it didn't matter at all. [00:11:30] Speaker B: But for future reference, that's really. [00:11:33] Speaker F: While you were describing that, I was really hoping overflowing life would be like, every excess hit point is damage for the next eight turns or something. [00:11:41] Speaker D: I thought it was gonna be like a. Almost like a storage mechanic where like you got overhealed. You can store up like ten hit points in the weapon or something. I don't know, but it's giving you bonus hit points when he was cool. [00:11:53] Speaker G: It's the medics Uber from Team Fortress two. There's a line going into my head from his hands, screaming and glowing. [00:12:05] Speaker B: Well, speaking of screaming, this fire breathing monkey demon in front of Brianna gets to go. What's that? But I looked at my notes from last time and I forgot. This poor creature, poor innocent creature is sickened three. Yeah, that's right. [00:12:28] Speaker D: That was my crit, I think. [00:12:29] Speaker B: Yes, yes. It takes spinal tap minus three on all its attacks. That's just not fair. [00:12:38] Speaker F: Well, you know, what was that about us dying? [00:12:41] Speaker B: Huh? Okay, so this, the one in front of Brianna, you start to see its eyes glow red as it starts to attack you with a draconic frenzy. [00:13:00] Speaker E: I don't like this. [00:13:01] Speaker D: So what? [00:13:03] Speaker B: Yes, so you see both of its claws swing at you. The first one. [00:13:10] Speaker A: Oh, that's not a good way to start. [00:13:13] Speaker B: That's a natural 20. [00:13:15] Speaker C: Jesus. [00:13:16] Speaker B: Son of. [00:13:16] Speaker D: A total of 40. [00:13:18] Speaker E: Yep. [00:13:18] Speaker B: Yep. [00:13:19] Speaker D: Is that width is negative three. [00:13:21] Speaker B: Oh, no, I'm sorry. [00:13:22] Speaker E: It's still natural. 20, though. [00:13:24] Speaker B: It's still a natural. That's a 37. [00:13:28] Speaker G: Oh, my God. [00:13:29] Speaker B: With a natural. Does a 37 hit you? [00:13:31] Speaker C: Yes. [00:13:32] Speaker B: Okay, so, um, you take double 44. [00:13:40] Speaker E: That's critical damage. [00:13:42] Speaker B: Is that critical damage? [00:13:43] Speaker F: Well, if you scroll over the thing. [00:13:45] Speaker D: Yeah, just. That's right. Damage. [00:13:47] Speaker B: So you're gonna take my bed. 44 points of damage as the first claw lands. [00:13:53] Speaker F: Well, what sicken, does damage get affected? [00:13:55] Speaker B: With Sikkin, you take. No, it does not. [00:13:57] Speaker F: Okay, what are. [00:13:58] Speaker D: What's its other icon? The foot? Is it slowed? [00:14:01] Speaker B: It is slowed. 5ft. [00:14:02] Speaker E: Right. [00:14:03] Speaker D: Did it lose action? Is it just. [00:14:05] Speaker B: Oh, wait a minute. [00:14:06] Speaker D: Speed is. [00:14:06] Speaker B: Oh, I do lose a action. So it only has to this turn. [00:14:11] Speaker E: Thank you for signaling. [00:14:13] Speaker B: However, the draconic fury is still going off. So it makes another claw attack at you. 24. [00:14:21] Speaker E: 24 will not hit. [00:14:23] Speaker B: Okay. And then lastly, with this draconic fury, it bites at you. [00:14:30] Speaker D: So how many actions does draconic cure? [00:14:32] Speaker B: Two. [00:14:33] Speaker D: It's two actions for three attacks. [00:14:34] Speaker B: Yep. [00:14:35] Speaker D: That's pretty good. [00:14:36] Speaker B: Makes two claw strikes and one bite strike in any order. Okay. 25. [00:14:41] Speaker E: The fight will not land. [00:14:42] Speaker B: Okay. So it hits you really hard with that first claw, but then everything else misses. [00:14:50] Speaker E: Okay. [00:14:51] Speaker F: Oh, man. [00:14:55] Speaker B: Brianna, at least you get to go again. [00:14:59] Speaker E: Yeah, I didn't like that. So I want to do something cool, but mechanically, I don't think it's gonna work. Can I tell you what I want to do, and then you'll tell me whether or not it's feasible? [00:15:13] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:15:15] Speaker E: So I never use my shield, right? [00:15:19] Speaker B: Right. [00:15:19] Speaker E: I would very much like to use my shield since I'm apparently. Or I have shield boss. So I hit pretty hard with my shield. And my idea was that Brianna kind of leans into it, shield bashes him against the tower, and just keeps pushing against the tower, trying to knock it over, and then squeeze this little thing. [00:15:42] Speaker B: In between the dragon pillar. [00:15:44] Speaker E: Yes. [00:15:45] Speaker C: I just want to say. So Brianna is standing diagonally in front of the tower, and the creature is directly in front of her. So I'm just imagining she just backhands it into the tower and holds it there. [00:15:55] Speaker E: That's kind of the thought process. [00:15:58] Speaker C: I had to. [00:15:59] Speaker B: Are you trying to not push over the tower or pin the monkey demon creature? [00:16:05] Speaker E: I would like to pin him into the tower. [00:16:08] Speaker B: Okay. [00:16:09] Speaker E: Guessing I'd have to move first into. [00:16:11] Speaker B: This square, I would assume in order to push this way, I don't have. [00:16:17] Speaker E: I will take a diagonal step in front of twin Talon. I think she'd stagger back first, kind of look down at herself, seeing that, no, she is not looking too good. And then just kind of angrily, like yells and leans into her, her shield as she bashes into this creature and then continues to in him. So movement would be my first action. My second action. [00:16:46] Speaker B: Yes. [00:16:46] Speaker E: There we go. How's a 34? [00:16:50] Speaker B: That is a hit. [00:16:51] Speaker E: Awesome. [00:16:51] Speaker F: What type of hit? [00:16:52] Speaker E: It's bludgeoning. [00:16:54] Speaker F: I meant I'm trying to coerce him into saying that it's a critical. [00:16:59] Speaker E: I somehow don't think so. [00:17:00] Speaker B: No, it's not. [00:17:03] Speaker E: Ah, man. So if I want to keep like pushing, basically like using my force to both like try and topple the tower and keep pushing this thing into suffocate between my shield and the recovery pillar, what would I have to do? [00:17:18] Speaker B: I'm gonna say you're gonna try and push over the pillar. Cause I have, like, stats for that. Okay, so my first question is, what is your rating in athletics? [00:17:29] Speaker E: That is a great question. I believe it's a plus 17 and I just put my master into athletics. [00:17:39] Speaker B: Oh, then you're fine. So give me an athletics check. But it's your second action, so minus. Or it's your third action, but your second attack, minus five. [00:17:53] Speaker D: What? Even for a skill check, a push is an attack. [00:17:58] Speaker E: I see. So 36 minus 531. [00:18:02] Speaker B: Okay, so you managed to push the creature back, and you push him against the pillar. And you push him so hard against the pillar that the pillar falls over. Excellent. [00:18:17] Speaker E: Does the creature take any further damage from the push? [00:18:20] Speaker B: I will say that. Give me another D six. Because as soon as you're pushing so hard, but then it falls over, so it can kind of like scoop back. [00:18:32] Speaker E: Ah. Can I give you. No, I can't. It's not a D 20. Nevermind. [00:18:35] Speaker B: Correct. [00:18:37] Speaker E: Natural one. [00:18:40] Speaker B: All right, what do you guys add. [00:18:42] Speaker C: Your strength to it? [00:18:43] Speaker B: Yeah, you know what? Add your strength modifier. [00:18:44] Speaker D: I'm gonna five. [00:18:46] Speaker E: So do you want me to reroll or just add five to that? [00:18:49] Speaker B: Just add five. [00:18:50] Speaker D: So I mean, the strength mod is a four, so. [00:18:52] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:18:53] Speaker C: So it's a five. [00:18:54] Speaker D: Yeah, it's a five. [00:18:55] Speaker E: Okay, there you go. [00:18:57] Speaker C: Cause that's incorporated into the six year old. [00:18:58] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay, so I will say the dragon pillar has effectively been removed from the combat. It is disabled. [00:19:10] Speaker F: Technically. That's huge. [00:19:13] Speaker B: All right, Saraya, I'm pretty sure I. [00:19:16] Speaker C: Used a frog tile last time, and that worked pretty well for me. [00:19:20] Speaker B: I believe that's where the five foot slow. [00:19:22] Speaker C: Yeah, the slow came from. It's a ten foot slow. Thank you. [00:19:25] Speaker B: I'm sorry. Ten foot slow. Slow. [00:19:28] Speaker C: So Brianna and Twintellen seem to have that. That is twin talent. Okay. Seem to have that fairly well in hand. I do have the rage of pond watcher. You know what I'll throw? Is a pond watcher here gonna block me from throwing, like. [00:19:44] Speaker A: Nope. [00:19:45] Speaker C: Monster over there. [00:19:47] Speaker B: He gets. Yeah, he gets. Cause you can draw two lines through. Yeah, he would get a little bit of COVID because it's also a small creature. Yeah, creature between you and your target is more than two sizes larger. [00:20:02] Speaker C: Nope, nothing else. [00:20:03] Speaker B: Yeah, he's gonna get lesser cover, I feel. [00:20:07] Speaker C: First attack that shit. That really doesn't. [00:20:11] Speaker B: That's a. That's a natural one. [00:20:13] Speaker C: Natural one. [00:20:14] Speaker B: You do have two hero points I'm gonna use. You literally can't roll. [00:20:18] Speaker C: Cause I'm so tired of crit failing using my, like, favored weapons. [00:20:26] Speaker E: It's fair. [00:20:26] Speaker B: Yeah, you literally can't roll worse. [00:20:29] Speaker C: I'm aware of that. [00:20:31] Speaker B: I mean, you could roll the same. Here we go. [00:20:33] Speaker C: Is that a 29 hit? [00:20:35] Speaker B: Yes, it does. [00:20:36] Speaker E: Heck, yeah. [00:20:37] Speaker C: So that's five cold damage, two splash damage, and he is slugged to eight. How. How are the two? Is there one that looks worse? [00:20:45] Speaker B: Honestly, they look about the same. [00:20:47] Speaker C: Oh, great. I'll keep going. When the one gets closer to me, throw another frost pile. Does a 20 hit? [00:20:54] Speaker B: It does not. [00:20:57] Speaker C: He still takes the two pulled splash. [00:20:59] Speaker B: Okay, then. [00:21:00] Speaker C: I think I made one type of recall knowledge check last time. I believe I can still make a society. That's a different check. [00:21:10] Speaker B: Let's see. Yes, it is. It is a higher. [00:21:13] Speaker C: I'm pretty sure I roll first. I'll take my chances. God, I rolled it. 15. I'm assuming this is gonna tell me a whole lot more. [00:21:22] Speaker B: Nope. [00:21:22] Speaker C: All right, that's my turn. [00:21:24] Speaker B: Okay, bomb. [00:21:26] Speaker C: Bomb recipe. [00:21:26] Speaker B: It is now the demon monkey creature's turn. That is sandwiched between pond watcher and. Damn it. [00:21:35] Speaker G: Bring it on, baby. [00:21:37] Speaker B: Please. Don't you see its eyes grow red? And it's going to draconic frenzy at Pondwatcher. [00:21:45] Speaker F: Oh, no. [00:21:45] Speaker G: Did you say dragon? [00:21:47] Speaker B: I did. First claw. Oh, my goodness. Boy, I don't trust you. 40 to hit. [00:21:56] Speaker G: Yeah, that would be a critical hit, Sean. [00:21:59] Speaker B: Oh, wait. Okay, okay. Only 32 points of damage. [00:22:04] Speaker G: How. That hurt me a little. [00:22:06] Speaker B: I just fixed that. I just fixed that wound. That specific one, you see another claw come by. Whoo. And the dice giveth and the dice taketh away. Right? Natural one. So that is a critical miss for me to use because remember, everyone gets critical misses. Now this is unarmed strike got too close. This attack grants and triggers a grapple or grab as a reaction by your enemy. So either temid or pond watcher, or both, if you both want to, can try that. [00:22:46] Speaker G: My hands are full. [00:22:47] Speaker B: Okay, temid, would you like to try and grab this small creature? [00:22:51] Speaker F: Can I do that with you? [00:22:52] Speaker C: Hold his arms down, follow up trick and punch. [00:22:54] Speaker F: Can I do that with one hand? [00:22:55] Speaker D: Yeah, you have to have at least one. [00:22:57] Speaker B: Yes, one hand. [00:22:57] Speaker F: Okay then you know what, let's risk it for the biscuit. [00:23:01] Speaker B: Okay, make an athletics roll versus my fortitude DC. [00:23:07] Speaker F: Just want to make sure that this number here is matches what I have on here. A lab 1 second. [00:23:11] Speaker B: That's fine. [00:23:12] Speaker F: Yeah, that's right. All right, let's go. 28 with a natural 19. [00:23:20] Speaker B: That will work together. You little shit. So I am grabbed. I am held in place by another creature giving me the flat footed and immobilized conditions. If I attempt to manipulate action while grabbed, I must succeed at a DC five flap check. Or it is locked. [00:23:41] Speaker G: Punch a kitten on the back of. [00:23:42] Speaker B: Its neck, roll the check after spending the action. So it still is going to attempt to bite. So a 13 to hit will miss, but critical miss. Okay, but I have to roll a d 20. So a five flat check. Oh, nice. Five on the die. Exactly. So I still critically miss though. So I'm going to drawing another critical miscarriage on this creature. See, this is the problem with draconic fury. Unarmed, overextend, you trigger reactions as if you had used a moved action. [00:24:19] Speaker D: Nobody has that shit. [00:24:22] Speaker B: And for its third action, it's going to try and swing a clawing. [00:24:30] Speaker F: He holds it out like far, like a bully in middle school. [00:24:35] Speaker B: All right, so the attack roll was a 24 versus your ac. [00:24:42] Speaker F: Yes, that hits me. [00:24:43] Speaker B: And a 15 on the grapple. Check. So it hits you for 19 points of slashing. [00:24:51] Speaker F: That's unfair. [00:24:55] Speaker B: All right, twin Talon. [00:24:57] Speaker D: It's not fair. Stop it. [00:24:59] Speaker F: Oh, wait, I'm sorry. Hold on a second. Hold on a second. Oh, I might actually have been wrong about the ac. When I'm grappled, does my. Does do I get the penalty as well when I'm grappling? [00:25:12] Speaker D: I don't think so. But you use the use of that appendage. [00:25:15] Speaker B: Yes. No, you do not take those. [00:25:17] Speaker F: Okay, cuz I do not have shield and I have my ac is 25. [00:25:22] Speaker B: Oh, well, then you don't take 19. [00:25:25] Speaker F: Points of slashing, dexterity and chain shirt baseball. Yeah, um, there's nothing. Yeah, so I did not take that damage. [00:25:33] Speaker B: Okay, nice. [00:25:35] Speaker F: I just assumed that my ac was much. Was a little bit lower than it actually was. [00:25:39] Speaker B: Twin talon, you're next. [00:25:42] Speaker D: Okay, so twin Talon is going to do the thing that twin Talon does, which is to stab. [00:25:50] Speaker E: Nice. [00:25:51] Speaker B: You're stabbing me, Brianna, because she's the only person. [00:25:57] Speaker D: Lean into the monkey, give him good basic stabbing. Hopefully only a 23. [00:26:06] Speaker B: That will miss, even though he's flat footed. Flat footed is minus two, right? Yep, yep. Still a miss. [00:26:12] Speaker D: Then I would like to use a hero point to reroll. Okay, that's my best attack of the round. [00:26:19] Speaker B: Yeah, take two. [00:26:21] Speaker D: How about a 35 instead? [00:26:22] Speaker B: Yes, that will critically hit actually. [00:26:26] Speaker D: Okay, I'll take it. So first things first. Sneak attack damage. So base damage currently is 21. [00:26:38] Speaker B: Okay, aren't you the one who says your second roll is always worse? I disagree with that. [00:26:46] Speaker D: Now, typically. Okay, so piercing, ragged wound. The target takes one d six. Persistent bleed damage. So it's double damage. So he takes 42 damage. [00:27:01] Speaker B: Okay, still standing. [00:27:03] Speaker D: He also takes persistent one d six. [00:27:05] Speaker B: Let me just add this to the list of things he's taking. [00:27:08] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:27:09] Speaker D: So I imagine Twintelle just like, grabs him by the horns in the back of his head and shoves his short sword into his adamant and twists it, pulls it out to make that ragged wound, and then he will attack again. 21 misses. [00:27:27] Speaker B: Yes, it does. [00:27:29] Speaker D: I want to take the bait. I feel like, I super feel like the third attack is always a trick. Crap. Yeah, but I don't know what else to do with my third action. [00:27:40] Speaker G: Do I have anything colorful? Language. [00:27:48] Speaker C: Don't you have, like, the demoralizing thing? [00:27:50] Speaker D: Only when I kill people. [00:27:52] Speaker G: It's pretty dimorphic. [00:27:54] Speaker C: Yeah, look, I was trying to help. [00:27:58] Speaker D: Yeah, I tried to pretend. Ah, what the hell. Let's see if we can roll the dice, right? I mean, what's that? [00:28:07] Speaker B: What's that? [00:28:08] Speaker D: Got a risk it for the biscuit. [00:28:10] Speaker F: I learned that from my nephews. [00:28:13] Speaker D: All right, nephews, here we go. [00:28:15] Speaker F: Don't listen to this podcast. [00:28:17] Speaker D: Nephew 20. [00:28:19] Speaker B: Just a regular miss, though. Not a critical miss. [00:28:22] Speaker D: All right, so he manages to make a big wound on his first attack, and then it's like, off balance. This is the next two. [00:28:30] Speaker F: Or he stabs in that same area, and it's just like there's nothing. [00:28:34] Speaker D: Oh, yes. [00:28:37] Speaker B: Pond watcher, you're up next. [00:28:41] Speaker G: I want to point out that if. If Tim hadn't healed me, I'd be in bad shape right now. As it is, I'm doing okay. So I'm gonna. I'm gonna move here slightly down so that I'm on the other side of the creature from Tenon. [00:28:59] Speaker B: So you're now flanking. Yep. [00:29:01] Speaker G: Do a little downward overhead strikey with my halberd. See if it hits him in the face. Ooh, that's a 25. [00:29:09] Speaker B: That will hit because he is flanked. Nice. [00:29:15] Speaker G: That is 15 slashing damage plus eight cold damage as my rage shoots shards of ice into his head. Hopefully he doesn't like that. I mean, I wouldn't. [00:29:29] Speaker B: I mean, I don't actually like that. [00:29:34] Speaker G: Trying to think. I think we're in a lot better shape than we were since Brianna took out that tower. So I'm not gonna be too risky, but I will take one more swing. [00:29:43] Speaker B: Okay. No, no. [00:29:46] Speaker G: Or a 13. And I'm. I'm using my hero. [00:29:50] Speaker B: Okay. [00:29:51] Speaker C: Wait. [00:29:52] Speaker G: Reroll that boy. Here we go. [00:29:54] Speaker B: Twelve. Oh, no. [00:29:57] Speaker G: So that was a natural two and then a natural one. [00:30:01] Speaker B: It was like a 90% chance. [00:30:07] Speaker G: It's been a while. It's been a while since I had some bad luck. [00:30:11] Speaker B: So. So draw that beautiful blue critical fumble card and tell me what it says. [00:30:17] Speaker G: Here we go. [00:30:19] Speaker B: Poisoned. [00:30:20] Speaker E: No, no, no. [00:30:21] Speaker G: Melee attack. Hold muscle. [00:30:24] Speaker B: Oh, no. [00:30:24] Speaker G: Healed. You're enfeebled to. [00:30:33] Speaker B: Great. [00:30:33] Speaker G: I get to add a new thing to my conditions, of which there are already 20 on hero lab because I've been hurt so many times. [00:30:41] Speaker B: Oh, man. I think that's a better enfeebled look. [00:30:45] Speaker A: Great. [00:30:46] Speaker G: Oh, this is great. Oh, I love this. [00:30:50] Speaker B: Anything else you'd like to do on this turn? [00:30:52] Speaker G: My turn is now over. [00:30:54] Speaker B: Okay. Timid. [00:30:56] Speaker F: All right, so timid looks at pond water. He doesn't. He looks surprisingly weak. Some of his twelve pack kind of disappears for a second, and he just looks a little bit weaker than usual. He looks over at Brianna, and she's actually very injured as well, correct? [00:31:12] Speaker E: Mm hmm. [00:31:13] Speaker B: Yep. [00:31:13] Speaker F: God, this is. This is a tough one. [00:31:15] Speaker G: I mean, I'm fine. [00:31:18] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:31:18] Speaker G: Sealed me to full. [00:31:20] Speaker F: Okay, so he's like, you know, he knows that he had helped pond watcher before. He wants to spread the love, and so he'll cast his. Basically the same thing that he did last time. Brianna gets 42 hit points back. [00:31:33] Speaker E: Oh, wow. [00:31:36] Speaker F: Yeah, it's. [00:31:37] Speaker B: I've. [00:31:38] Speaker F: Here's the thing, though. Like, I've been able to heal us really well for a long time, and I was just too stupid to realize it. [00:31:45] Speaker B: No, no, I've been able to use. [00:31:47] Speaker F: My divine font for a long time and it scales to your level automatically. And so I've been keeping like, heal spells in my spell slots and wasting my. I don't know what I was thinking. But it's fixed now, which is a good thing. [00:31:59] Speaker E: Absolutely. [00:32:00] Speaker F: And now he's just going to. Oh wait, I'm sorry, I need. Do I need my one hand free in order to do that? Like my non rapier hand? No, I don't. [00:32:09] Speaker B: Okay. [00:32:10] Speaker F: And so then he's just going to use the other hand to attack the creature. [00:32:13] Speaker B: Okay, I'll see. [00:32:14] Speaker D: In the, in the playtest they had a thing where you had to have a hand free and then it turned out it really screwed over clerics. So then they just blanket said, like, just as long as your hand isn't restrained in some way, you can move it around. And that's enough for casting spells which then made like greatsword wielding wizards possible. So it's, it's a really fun time. And Pathfinder, second edition. [00:32:40] Speaker C: I am never going to say no to greatsword wielding wizards. [00:32:42] Speaker D: Yeah, that's the worst thing. [00:32:44] Speaker F: We can make a party of them. [00:32:46] Speaker B: Oh jeez. [00:32:47] Speaker D: That's. [00:32:47] Speaker B: We can. [00:32:48] Speaker D: I mean, like agree to do that once our characters die, but. [00:32:52] Speaker G: Well, doesn't do a better job. We're never gonna die. [00:32:55] Speaker B: I'm working on it. Tempting him. [00:32:58] Speaker D: We blame you. [00:33:00] Speaker F: So how's a 27? [00:33:03] Speaker E: Get it. [00:33:04] Speaker B: That will hit. [00:33:05] Speaker F: It's not a crit, right? [00:33:06] Speaker B: No. [00:33:08] Speaker F: With, you know, all of this, this theory of like, I'm healing these people as fast as I can and you're doing all this damage. Like, stop, I'm tired. And then he just stabs this thing in the, like he imagines himself stabbing this thing through the neck and like finishing it off, but it's just like a paltry little wound, like for five hit points. [00:33:25] Speaker B: What, something better than nothing? [00:33:27] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:33:28] Speaker B: So we can then cut back to Brianna and twin Talon fighting this creature. So this creature's first action is to. [00:33:35] Speaker D: Bleed one d six damage. [00:33:37] Speaker B: Go ahead and roll that. [00:33:39] Speaker E: Come on, man. [00:33:40] Speaker D: Two. [00:33:42] Speaker B: All right, so it bleeds as a free action. Second action is to move away. [00:33:50] Speaker D: And it's slow, right? [00:33:52] Speaker B: Yes. 5ft less. [00:33:55] Speaker C: 10Ft less. [00:33:56] Speaker B: 10Ft less than its total speed. 1015. That's all it needs as it breathes in deeply and lets out another 30 foot of fire to the side. [00:34:11] Speaker D: Nope. [00:34:11] Speaker B: Directly at Brianna and twin Talon. [00:34:15] Speaker D: Big old time. All right, so reflex saves, please. Quintalon gets a 36. Is that enough? [00:34:24] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:25] Speaker E: Brianna gets a 23. [00:34:27] Speaker B: That is not enough. [00:34:29] Speaker E: Okay then I. I choose to stamp up my shield since I now have reactive shields. [00:34:35] Speaker B: Actually Saraya is not outside of that 30ft. [00:34:41] Speaker E: Depending who. Saraya. Just outside my reach to her liberating step. I was gonna recant my shield to liberate you and I can't. [00:34:51] Speaker C: Oh, my reflex is not my worst 30. [00:34:55] Speaker D: Okay, roll high. That's fine. [00:34:56] Speaker C: Yeah, so I mean I did. [00:35:00] Speaker B: What does reactive shield do? [00:35:03] Speaker C: Boost my ac. [00:35:06] Speaker D: It puts the shield into place to raise her ac by two. [00:35:10] Speaker B: Okay, but. And she can absorb some of this damage? [00:35:13] Speaker D: No, that's another reaction. Shield blocks a different reaction. [00:35:16] Speaker B: Yep. [00:35:16] Speaker E: Yep. [00:35:16] Speaker B: All right, so 35 points of damage to all creatures in a 30 foot cone. [00:35:22] Speaker E: Maybe in that shield lock rip. I forgot I had that. [00:35:25] Speaker B: Yeah, if you want to use that instead, that's fine. [00:35:28] Speaker E: That would be lovely. [00:35:30] Speaker B: That's like shieldwalk. [00:35:31] Speaker D: You have to have raised your shield to use shield block. [00:35:33] Speaker B: Oh boo. [00:35:36] Speaker E: Okay, well then never mind. I'll just spread my arms wide and take in the face instead. [00:35:44] Speaker D: Quintown will duck down behind her. [00:35:46] Speaker B: You're welcome. [00:35:48] Speaker C: So those of you, Dura is already on the outskirts. Back a little bit. [00:35:53] Speaker B: So those of you who saved, you're taking half. Except for Twintalon who has evasion. [00:35:57] Speaker D: Yes. [00:35:58] Speaker B: So twin Talon takes nothing. [00:36:00] Speaker D: Mm hmm. [00:36:01] Speaker B: Dureya, you're taking 18 points of damage. And Briena, you're just taking that 35 points of damage. [00:36:11] Speaker E: You betcha. [00:36:13] Speaker C: Sorry, temed. [00:36:15] Speaker B: Now the important role two. [00:36:17] Speaker C: Ew. [00:36:18] Speaker D: What is it? Is that his refractory period? [00:36:22] Speaker B: Possibly as that gout of fire. [00:36:27] Speaker D: Ooh, gout. That's not. [00:36:28] Speaker B: That's painful. [00:36:30] Speaker F: I can heal that gout for you if you want. If you stop attacking us. [00:36:34] Speaker B: Brianna, your armor is a little toasty and you are sweating a little bit as it is your turn. [00:36:40] Speaker E: She says. Oh no you don't. You don't get to get away from me that easily. [00:36:44] Speaker B: And she will step up to the. [00:36:46] Speaker E: Mean jungle streets and strike for a 36. [00:36:53] Speaker B: Yes that, that will critical because it's an extra 20. [00:36:59] Speaker E: Let me draw my card here. Right. [00:37:08] Speaker C: Oh. [00:37:12] Speaker B: I think she got a triple damage card. [00:37:14] Speaker E: No, no. You gain one action that you can use before the end of your next turn. Sorry, the end of your turn to use an attack action against the target. [00:37:24] Speaker B: Okay. [00:37:25] Speaker C: All right. [00:37:26] Speaker B: So you do double damage. So that would be 24 damage. [00:37:32] Speaker E: Damage. [00:37:33] Speaker B: I guess I should hit -24 not plus 20. [00:37:36] Speaker C: Yeah, don't heal it. 24. That's just. [00:37:37] Speaker E: Okay, that would be mean. I guess I can smack it again. I guess 29 will hit 15 damage. [00:37:50] Speaker B: 15. And now you have one more action. Would you like to raise your shield? [00:37:57] Speaker E: Fine. [00:37:58] Speaker C: Don't do it. [00:37:59] Speaker F: Everyone's got to make fun of you. Everyone's got to make fun of you. [00:38:01] Speaker B: For raising your children. [00:38:03] Speaker E: It's true. Everyone's coming up on me, but. [00:38:05] Speaker B: But I'll do it because I have one and I never do. [00:38:09] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:38:13] Speaker B: Shield bros. Yeah. Okay, Saraya, you're up. [00:38:19] Speaker C: She's gonna mix things up a little bit. We're gonna move from rock files to acid blast. [00:38:24] Speaker B: Okay. [00:38:25] Speaker C: Because I want to get some more persistent damage going here. So this is gonna be the one that Tevin and podwatcher are fighting. 27. [00:38:35] Speaker B: Well, it's flanked. Will hit speech. [00:38:38] Speaker C: So that is eight damage. It's two splash. And I believe it's two d six persistent. [00:38:49] Speaker B: Thank you, I will. [00:38:51] Speaker C: She's gonna skip forward about 10ft just behind twin Talon here. Righty. And then throw another ass. [00:38:59] Speaker B: Okay, can I just say it's so. [00:39:01] Speaker E: Nice that she's a bomber and can control her throws? [00:39:06] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:39:06] Speaker B: Yes. [00:39:06] Speaker C: That's a 17, which I assume will miss, but it will still probably take the two splash. [00:39:12] Speaker B: It will take the two splash, but. [00:39:13] Speaker A: It won't just miss. [00:39:15] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:39:15] Speaker B: Critically miss. [00:39:16] Speaker E: Oh, no. [00:39:18] Speaker D: Do you have a hero point left? [00:39:20] Speaker C: I have one hero point left. My roll to seven. So I've got 50 50. That'll do better. [00:39:27] Speaker B: It always works. [00:39:29] Speaker E: We believe in you. [00:39:30] Speaker B: What's the worst that happens? [00:39:32] Speaker D: I mean, it's a critmist right now, right? [00:39:33] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [00:39:34] Speaker C: So, like, what's the worst? It's, you know, I can't, like, double critically miss. [00:39:38] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:39:40] Speaker C: 27. [00:39:42] Speaker A: That will hit. [00:39:43] Speaker C: So that is five more damage. Two persistent damage, and another two d six persistent. [00:39:50] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:39:50] Speaker C: So, yes. So he's got what? Twintellen's one d six bleed. My two d six acid. Looks like he's got at least one more condition. [00:40:00] Speaker D: He's sickened free. [00:40:01] Speaker B: He sickened. Three slowed 10ft bleed, a recharge time, and a acid. Persistent. There are five conditions on this. That creature. Thanks, guys. Making my life easy. You're welcome. [00:40:17] Speaker C: It's my turn. So. [00:40:19] Speaker B: Okay. This creature that was in timid's hands wriggles free because timid did. [00:40:25] Speaker C: He takes his persistent. [00:40:26] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Go ahead and roll your persistent. [00:40:29] Speaker C: That's nine persistent acid. [00:40:31] Speaker B: Okay. [00:40:32] Speaker D: Are they both persistent acid at this point? [00:40:34] Speaker B: Yes. Yes. [00:40:35] Speaker C: I threw an acid. [00:40:36] Speaker D: Oh, cool. [00:40:38] Speaker B: So now, since Temma did not maintain the grapple, it wriggles free and it moves. 510. Oh, it slowed. 1520. [00:40:48] Speaker C: I am all about DP's and status quo. [00:40:53] Speaker B: Yeah, make my life easy. Thanks. This one now breathes a deep breath and lets loose another out of flame towards pond watcher and Temmit. [00:41:07] Speaker F: Oh, man. [00:41:07] Speaker B: I don't like you. Okay. [00:41:09] Speaker F: All right. [00:41:10] Speaker B: Temid with a 30 reflex save. [00:41:15] Speaker G: 29. [00:41:16] Speaker B: 29. Also not bad. [00:41:18] Speaker E: Nice. [00:41:18] Speaker B: 37 points of fire damage. Rush at both of you, but you both managed to save. So you're. So you're taking 19, right? About. Yeah, yeah. [00:41:32] Speaker G: 1914 with the ring of fire. [00:41:35] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. [00:41:36] Speaker F: That's right. Thank you. [00:41:38] Speaker C: Oh, we totally forgot about that on our turns. So should we hill five? [00:41:43] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:41:44] Speaker B: Yeah, you should. [00:41:44] Speaker G: Sean. [00:41:45] Speaker B: What? [00:41:46] Speaker G: Got me back down to 75 hit points. [00:41:48] Speaker B: Yay. I'm doing things. I'm trying harder. [00:41:55] Speaker C: I love when he says things like that. It's like, my max is 83. [00:42:00] Speaker G: I will live forever. [00:42:02] Speaker B: Well, that's its turn, twin Talon. [00:42:05] Speaker D: All right, so twin Talon is now not next to anything. Nope. Well, I guess keep doing what you do. Right. So he will move up here to the one that's currently engaged with Brianna, which is the one he was fighting. And we will short sword strike 24. [00:42:25] Speaker A: That will miss. [00:42:27] Speaker D: How am I missing these flat footed creatures? What am I rolling? Two. [00:42:31] Speaker B: Yeah, it's still a miss. [00:42:32] Speaker D: All right, your point? Here we go. [00:42:34] Speaker E: Okay, come on, twin Talon. [00:42:36] Speaker F: You can do it. [00:42:37] Speaker D: 22. [00:42:39] Speaker B: Also miss. [00:42:40] Speaker D: All right, enough with that. All right, so I'll attack again. Okay, that's actually a 20 click button. [00:42:50] Speaker B: That will miss, but not critically miss. [00:42:53] Speaker D: And that's my whole turn. [00:42:54] Speaker B: Okay, pond watcher. [00:42:56] Speaker G: So it scampers away, breathes a bunch of fire on us. [00:43:00] Speaker B: Oh, I forgot to roll something very important. [00:43:02] Speaker E: Yeah, no. [00:43:02] Speaker B: Okay, go ahead, continue. [00:43:04] Speaker G: So, yeah, it scampers away. Breeze fire on us. The fire kind of, like, drifts down to the ground, smoldering all the water and plants and. Pond watcher says, now it's your turn. And he breathes a gout of ice. [00:43:18] Speaker B: Yes. [00:43:19] Speaker G: So please roll. A reflex save. [00:43:22] Speaker E: Get it? [00:43:24] Speaker B: 33. [00:43:25] Speaker G: That's a critical success. [00:43:26] Speaker B: Yay, PC 23. [00:43:29] Speaker G: Oh, I don't know what that means, really. It's a basic replace. So no damage, right? [00:43:34] Speaker B: No damage. Yeah. [00:43:37] Speaker G: He blows this, like, giant gout of ice at it, and it just kind of, like, has, like, smoldering embers coming out of its mouth and all the ice just goes around it like a silhouette. [00:43:46] Speaker B: Hey, it does an anime style pose. [00:43:53] Speaker G: That just makes me feel like a durn fool. [00:43:56] Speaker B: No. [00:43:58] Speaker G: So he's just gonna sprint into its face? That's all he can do. Do. [00:44:03] Speaker B: Well, um, I forgot. I will. Did I take the persistent acid? Yes. [00:44:10] Speaker C: The one fighting Twintellidon pond watcher? Yes. [00:44:16] Speaker B: Okay, that's fine because I didn't have it at that time. It. [00:44:19] Speaker F: So a couple of things. One is it was actually plus 32, not plus 24 for my. That. That heal. So I don't think it's gonna affect anything. I hope not. But the other thing is timid, kind of yells out, twin, how you doing? [00:44:35] Speaker D: I am untouched. [00:44:37] Speaker F: Okay, that makes him a lot better. That makes him feel a lot better. So he's gonna use the 30. I'm sorry, the three action divine font and just do a 40 ten heal because everyone was taking some. Some shit just now. Let's see. Three actions level. [00:44:55] Speaker B: I'm just gonna include my creatures. [00:44:57] Speaker F: No, because I have an ability, selective energy. I can ignore up to three creatures and so I ignore those two. And also. Sorry, I just, just. Whatever. I'm kidding. I'm not gonna. Wait, why is this plus 30? No. Using the two s? I didn't. Anyways, I do. Everyone gets 19 hit points back except. [00:45:26] Speaker B: For twin, who's 35ft up. No, I know. Yeah. [00:45:32] Speaker C: And it's untouched. Well, I can think of since I've been rewatching the expanse. [00:45:41] Speaker B: So. [00:45:42] Speaker F: Yeah, he. Yeah, so he just kind of like raises his rapier up and like a burst of energy comes out and then he. He faces and he looks towards that creature. [00:45:51] Speaker C: He. [00:45:52] Speaker F: The one that ponders is attacking and he's. He's going to head in that direction. He makes it really obvious that he's going to head there, but he's used all of that time, all of his allotted time to just heal everyone as much as he possibly can. [00:46:03] Speaker B: All right, so the creature that Twintalon and Brianna are engaged with looks at the group in front of him and swings a claw at twin Talon. [00:46:16] Speaker D: First takes one D six, bleed and acid. [00:46:20] Speaker B: All right, so Saraya, acid, twintal and bleed rolls, please. [00:46:26] Speaker D: Four, bleed. [00:46:27] Speaker B: Four, bleed. [00:46:29] Speaker C: Two acid. How did I roll? [00:46:30] Speaker B: Two acid. Two acid. Okay, now it's going to swing a claw at twin talent. [00:46:37] Speaker D: 30 seems unlikely. [00:46:40] Speaker B: 30. [00:46:41] Speaker D: I just disbelieve it. [00:46:44] Speaker C: Okay, I was going to say that he, like, he rolled a D 20 for some reason, but it was one that came out of a magic eight ball. [00:46:52] Speaker B: Take 16 points of slashing damage, ask again later. And then bites at Rihanna. 26. [00:47:03] Speaker E: 26, you say? [00:47:05] Speaker D: Didn't you raise your shield last turn? [00:47:07] Speaker E: She did, I did. I'm trying to remember how much it. [00:47:11] Speaker C: Was with a shield. [00:47:12] Speaker E: That'll miss. [00:47:13] Speaker B: It'll miss. Clangs off the shield and then swings a tail. At pond watcher? No, at twin tall. [00:47:23] Speaker C: All the way across the board. [00:47:24] Speaker B: 27. [00:47:25] Speaker D: Does it use the full base attack bonus every time? [00:47:27] Speaker B: Nope. This is. [00:47:29] Speaker D: Oh, minus ten. I see. [00:47:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:47:32] Speaker E: I will liberate him. [00:47:33] Speaker D: Okay. [00:47:34] Speaker B: Okay. He takes 20 points of slashing damage from a spiked tail. [00:47:40] Speaker D: Minus. So 911 instead of. [00:47:45] Speaker B: Untouched. Yeah, take that. Brianna, it is your turn. That's enough. [00:47:54] Speaker E: She says she strikes for a 25. [00:47:59] Speaker B: That will miss. [00:48:01] Speaker E: Okay, how about this? You can take my hero point, okay? Because I have way too many and. [00:48:07] Speaker B: I feel like I'm hoarding them. So. [00:48:11] Speaker E: Let'S try that again. I said that's enough. How's the 30? [00:48:15] Speaker B: That will hit. [00:48:18] Speaker E: Okay, take eleven damage. [00:48:20] Speaker B: I took it. [00:48:21] Speaker E: And she will swing one more time. Ah. Before I can hear a tablet. [00:48:29] Speaker B: Okay. [00:48:29] Speaker C: Did you just use shit? [00:48:32] Speaker B: It's fine. [00:48:33] Speaker D: Is that legal? [00:48:34] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a different D 20 roll. [00:48:36] Speaker G: Yeah, this is a slug fest. [00:48:38] Speaker B: Fuck. I'm holding onto this one just in case. Okay, is that a critical miss? No, it's just a regular myths. [00:48:48] Speaker E: And for the last action, I'll just raise my shield again. Look at that. All right, but it's a three action. [00:48:56] Speaker B: She will go. [00:48:57] Speaker E: She will turn over her shoulder and wink. Intended shield. [00:49:01] Speaker B: Rose shield. Serea. [00:49:05] Speaker C: Well, that acid seems to be having a fun time, so gonna throw one more at the one that's near Cabriana and twin. Okay, 35, which is a critical hit. [00:49:19] Speaker B: So please draw a critical hit card. [00:49:21] Speaker C: I get to draw a good crit card for once. [00:49:23] Speaker B: I know those are the green ones. I know you don't draw them very often. [00:49:27] Speaker C: Shut up. Bomb or spell. Normal damage and the target is restrained. Using your class DC as the DC. [00:49:34] Speaker B: Okay. [00:49:35] Speaker C: Still gonna be seven damage and two splash. Sadly, I don't believe persistent stacks. Can you imagine? Okay, so that is action number one. [00:49:49] Speaker B: So I don't think we've ever had the restrained condition on something. I am flat footed and immobilized and I can't use any actions except to escape. [00:50:01] Speaker C: Okay, I do it on its turn. [00:50:04] Speaker D: It just. That's all it can do, is keep trying to escape. [00:50:06] Speaker B: Yes, it just. [00:50:07] Speaker C: It just splits. That's awesome. I'm totally fine with that. He's a sitting duck for you two now. So perfect. [00:50:16] Speaker B: Your bombs, I believe, are a 30 foot reach. [00:50:19] Speaker C: They're 20, actually. But I can also have their effects split out in a 15 foot pound. So if I aim here, I believe hit twin. But actually, did this guy. [00:50:31] Speaker B: You mean Pond watcher? [00:50:32] Speaker C: Pond watcher. Sorry. Oh, shit. That's a 13. And I have no more hero points. [00:50:39] Speaker B: That is a. I know. Ridiculous. I know. Ah, those are the blue ones. You're used to those. [00:50:48] Speaker C: I am indeed. So it just says just a spell. So we go with range. So that happens. It's not spelling until healed. You are clumsy too. [00:50:57] Speaker B: That's not terrible. The creature that Pond watcher is in front of takes two d six persistent acid first. [00:51:05] Speaker C: Does he take his two spawn? Sure. [00:51:07] Speaker B: No. [00:51:07] Speaker C: That was pretty possible. [00:51:08] Speaker B: You chucked the bomb behind you. [00:51:11] Speaker C: I don't think I did. But he takes seven persistent damage. [00:51:15] Speaker G: It's like a little monkey, like just standing there and he gets smashed by an acid. [00:51:22] Speaker D: Wrong monkey. [00:51:24] Speaker B: This creature in front of Pondwatcher, its eyes go bright red again and it draconically fury strikes at Pondwatcher with its bites. At you first. [00:51:35] Speaker G: Yeah, well, I'm even more mad than you. [00:51:37] Speaker B: So 27, that's a hit. 20 piercing, then a claw for a 35. [00:51:45] Speaker G: It's a critical hit. [00:51:46] Speaker B: Yes, it is. You take 40 points of slashing. [00:51:52] Speaker F: Looks like I'm using divine font again. [00:51:54] Speaker B: And then it's last claw with an eleven. [00:51:57] Speaker G: It's a critical miss. [00:52:00] Speaker D: Everybody draws miss cards. [00:52:03] Speaker B: I'm drawing, I'm drawing. [00:52:05] Speaker G: Wow, that was quite the reversal of fortune in my hand here. [00:52:09] Speaker B: This one. This is stinging failure until healed. You take a minus two circumstance. Penalties to attack. Rolls made with my claw attacks. So for its last action, it's gonna swing its tail at you. 26. [00:52:26] Speaker G: That's a hit. [00:52:27] Speaker B: 15 points of slashing. [00:52:30] Speaker G: Yeah, I'm okay. Blood just gushing out of every part of my body. [00:52:36] Speaker B: No, no. [00:52:37] Speaker D: Twin talent, twin town will kind of sigh and be like, this doesn't even seem sporty. And then he's going to stab the restrained, sickened. [00:52:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:52:47] Speaker C: Can he just cooperate at this point? [00:52:49] Speaker D: Bleeding, acid, burnt creature. I'm just like putting it out of its misery at this point. It's not even merciful. A 34 against its flat footed ac. [00:52:59] Speaker B: That will hit four. Oh, plus how much sneak attack? [00:53:04] Speaker D: Nine. So 23 damage for the first attack. [00:53:07] Speaker B: So you kill it. Oh, good. [00:53:10] Speaker D: All right then. As the only reaction I have as of 7th level, I will look at the other, uh, small monkey, demon, fire breathing creature and, uh, try to demoralize it. [00:53:26] Speaker B: Okay, coming for you next. [00:53:29] Speaker D: Uh, but I actually have something like that. [00:53:33] Speaker B: You do not have to speak the same language. [00:53:35] Speaker D: Correct? Yeah. [00:53:36] Speaker B: Okay, what do I roll? [00:53:40] Speaker D: Nothing. I'm rolling you 23. And I think it's versus your will DC. [00:53:44] Speaker B: If I'm correct, that will pass. What? It will pass. You succeed. [00:53:50] Speaker D: I succeed, or they succeed, you succeed. Okay. Then it is demoralized, in addition to any other conditions that might already have just demoralized one. [00:54:00] Speaker B: So when I'm demoralized, frightened one. [00:54:03] Speaker D: So for my second action, then twin Talon will stride across the marshy swamp up to the one that pond watcher is facing, being eviscerated by a little bit. And he'll attack that one. [00:54:21] Speaker B: Okay. [00:54:22] Speaker D: 27 to hit his flat foot at eight. [00:54:24] Speaker B: Six. [00:54:25] Speaker D: That will hit for 23 damage. [00:54:27] Speaker B: All right, still alive, pond watcher. [00:54:31] Speaker G: So just to recap, this thing scampered away, blew a ton of fire in my face. I tried to respond with some ice, and it completely missed. I ran up to it, and then it just, like, lit me up. I've gone, I think, up and down and hit points so many times that, like, I don't even know where I am anymore. And he's, I'm like, very close to dying now. I'm kind of wobbling on my feet. So he's gonna put everything he has. I believe this is round four of combat. Is that correct? [00:55:01] Speaker B: Yes, that is correct. [00:55:03] Speaker G: So he's gonna do a furious finish and try to put all of his rage into his last swing at this thing to try to finish it off with his halberd over his head. [00:55:13] Speaker B: Oh, that's a 20 that will miss. Okay, wait, minus one death by a million cuts. [00:55:24] Speaker E: Great. [00:55:25] Speaker B: Yes. You'd still miss even with all of the status effects on this poor creature. [00:55:31] Speaker G: So I do a mighty swing and whiff and hit the ground. I'm now not raging and fatigued. [00:55:39] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:55:39] Speaker G: But I still have two more actions. [00:55:41] Speaker B: You do? [00:55:42] Speaker G: So he kind of is like, huffing and puffing, and he just shakily raises the halberd and just pokes it forward like a spear for the second attack. For a 25 that will hit. [00:55:53] Speaker B: Yes. [00:55:53] Speaker G: He slowly pushes the hint of the creature. 17 piercing damage, and you kill it. And he just sinks to the ground with it like he's planting a flag. Just slowly, like, lowers into the water. [00:56:10] Speaker B: And with that, this combat is finished. And we will see how podwatcher fares next week. [00:56:19] Speaker D: What is that really, an hour? [00:56:21] Speaker B: Yep. [00:56:22] Speaker D: Time flies when you're stabbing monkeys with. [00:56:26] Speaker H: The fire breathing monkey demons finally slayed and another pillar toppled. What will our heroes do next? Where will they go? And will they ever get out of the jungle?
