[00:00:39] Speaker A: Happy New Year and welcome back to the Crack Die podcast. You know, we started this podcast a little over three months ago in 2019, and I really I couldn't be happier with the results that we've gotten. Every week, we tend to get more and more listeners, and that can only be because of word of mouth. I want to thank everyone who's helped spread the word of this podcast to their friends, their families. Heck, even if you've told people you don't like as a punishment, it's really helped us out. As we go into 2020, I can only hope and expect this podcast to get better. We're almost finished with the first book of the Age of Ashes Adventure Path, and I only see us getting better. Better character development, better storytelling, better grasp of a new rule set. Thank you for coming on this journey with us, and I can't wait to see what 2020 holds for this show. So nice, quick, short, and sweet intro to this week. Let's get to the table. [00:01:48] Speaker B: Welcome to the Crackdype podcast. Unfortunately, Sean has left the show again, and I'm here now. [00:01:53] Speaker C: Damn it. He's my ride. [00:01:54] Speaker A: Oh, sorry, guys, I'm here. Sorry, episode tried to lock the bathroom. God damn it. Episode 1818. So our episode can vote yes. Not yet drafted. And I meant the podcast, but yeah, whatever. But not drink. But not drink yet. Not drink. Previously on The Cracked Die Podcast our heroes encountered some soul bound dolls. After making work of these creatures, our heroes continued to explore the basements of the Citadel. Upon investigating the old forge for the Hell Knights, our heroes found a gelatinous cube. Will they be able to deal with this invisible menace? Find out now on the Cracked Die podcast. [00:02:54] Speaker C: Gelatinous cubes. [00:02:56] Speaker A: Gelatinous cubes. [00:02:57] Speaker C: Why we do this? [00:02:58] Speaker A: You guys were interested in the Armory, so you decided to look. Brianna got really excited, and then you heard Schlorping, which is a technical term. [00:03:07] Speaker C: Yes. It's scientific. [00:03:08] Speaker A: It's scientific. And this cube kind of started to ooze out and let's know. I don't know. Roll initiative. I find it interesting that since our. [00:03:20] Speaker D: Last episode, we put the minis back. [00:03:22] Speaker A: Out, and now Temit is in the. [00:03:23] Speaker D: Room and Brianna is out of the room. [00:03:25] Speaker A: Wait, what? No, switch that sorry. [00:03:29] Speaker E: Our minis have not painted yet. [00:03:31] Speaker A: What's your initiative? I'm going to use this nice big 35 millimeter. All right. Bastard. [00:03:36] Speaker B: That I got. Oh, yeah. [00:03:39] Speaker A: That's so loud. [00:03:40] Speaker C: That is really loud. [00:03:41] Speaker B: 23. That is the one and only time. [00:03:43] Speaker A: I'm going to use that silver. So, 14. Sareia. Eleven. Brienna 24. Pond watcher. 24. Who's going force foist. Who's going foist between the two of you? I'll go first. All right. And twin talon with my natural one. [00:04:02] Speaker D: I got a nine I love as a row. Going last. [00:04:05] Speaker F: What? [00:04:05] Speaker C: It's the best. [00:04:06] Speaker A: All right, so the gelatinous cube is going to go first. Natural 20. [00:04:11] Speaker C: I don't think I did we well. [00:04:14] Speaker A: I guess my bonus is a little bit more than you. [00:04:16] Speaker C: I suppose. [00:04:17] Speaker F: So how is this gelatinous cube so fast? [00:04:20] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:04:20] Speaker D: Also I don't think I do sneak attack to a gelatinous cube, so probably not. [00:04:25] Speaker A: So the gelatinous cube is going to ooze forward towards pond. Watcher. [00:04:33] Speaker F: Finally, death has come for me. [00:04:36] Speaker C: Stop that. [00:04:39] Speaker A: Going to attempt to engulf you. [00:04:43] Speaker F: Yes. [00:04:44] Speaker C: How does that work? [00:04:47] Speaker D: Moves into his space. [00:04:49] Speaker A: Yes. [00:04:49] Speaker C: Spondo. Stop that. You're liberating snapping. Yes, I will. [00:04:54] Speaker F: I'm not a willing target. [00:04:56] Speaker A: I need you to give me an hold on a second. [00:04:58] Speaker F: I got it. Whatever it is, I got it. It's going to be fine. [00:05:01] Speaker A: Give me a reflex. [00:05:02] Speaker C: Saving fans will literally write in and not all of our listeners will leave us. Exactly. You can't die. [00:05:08] Speaker A: 22, you get out of the way. [00:05:10] Speaker D: Nice. [00:05:11] Speaker A: So that was two actions and then the last action is it's going to try and hit you with a mealy. [00:05:20] Speaker C: Tentacle thing like lash out like an amoeba? [00:05:23] Speaker A: Yes. [00:05:24] Speaker D: Pseudopod. [00:05:24] Speaker A: 22 hit. You take five acid. [00:05:28] Speaker F: Cool. [00:05:30] Speaker A: And then you need to give me a fortitude save. [00:05:33] Speaker F: It's going to be fine. [00:05:34] Speaker C: Okay, 27. [00:05:36] Speaker A: You feel your body start to stiffen up and then you shake it off. [00:05:40] Speaker F: It's very hard to make me stiff. Do not try. [00:05:43] Speaker A: Well, it's your turn. [00:05:45] Speaker D: Well, his penis to get blurned off. [00:05:48] Speaker A: That's true. [00:05:49] Speaker C: We discussed that a couple episodes ago. [00:05:52] Speaker F: Alec. [00:05:53] Speaker C: Also it got blurned off. [00:05:54] Speaker F: Yeah, blurred. Yeah. [00:05:55] Speaker A: Listen to the episode. That's what he said. [00:05:56] Speaker C: I don't know why he said blurred. Definitely. [00:05:58] Speaker F: Alec, in the halls of your ancestors, look down upon me. I rage. All right, I take my sword and I push it forward. [00:06:08] Speaker A: All right. [00:06:11] Speaker C: This one's yours. Now you may have that dice. [00:06:14] Speaker D: What'd? You roll to cube. [00:06:15] Speaker F: Sorry. Eleven hit. Yes. [00:06:18] Speaker C: Nice. [00:06:19] Speaker F: First one for today. Five points of piercing damage and four points of cold damage. What are you using to attack with? [00:06:29] Speaker B: Personal. [00:06:29] Speaker F: Great sword. Okay, I'm going to do the same again. Poking it because it seems to be very slow. [00:06:35] Speaker A: Yes. You make it good. [00:06:37] Speaker F: No, it's good. [00:06:38] Speaker A: That's four total. [00:06:40] Speaker F: Yes. [00:06:40] Speaker A: It's a miss. [00:06:41] Speaker D: I don't think we can yes, but. [00:06:43] Speaker B: It'S not a critical yeah, I think. [00:06:44] Speaker D: It is impossible to crit fail on this one unless you roll a natural one. [00:06:48] Speaker F: My day has come. [00:06:49] Speaker D: This is your element, man. [00:06:50] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:06:51] Speaker F: All right. That's it. I'm done. [00:06:53] Speaker A: Okay, that's it. [00:06:54] Speaker C: So I see that rietta slicing and dicing. It seems to be doing something. [00:06:59] Speaker F: Sorry, it only took two points of gold damage. Okay, my apologies. [00:07:02] Speaker C: We'll forgive you guys. How about 16? [00:07:08] Speaker A: How about a hit? I just want to let you guys know I think you'll all hit it. But it has so much hit points. So many hit points. [00:07:19] Speaker C: It's going to take a while. [00:07:21] Speaker A: Although with Brianna oh, actually yeah. [00:07:23] Speaker C: Well, if we can try and back out of the room and get it. [00:07:26] Speaker F: Stuck in the doorway back out of room. [00:07:28] Speaker A: What about it'll? [00:07:29] Speaker F: Take me with it once I'm engulfed. [00:07:30] Speaker A: Don't worry. [00:07:33] Speaker D: Just kind of like keeping assigned yourself to that. [00:07:35] Speaker C: I might have to ask questions, but I did max damage, but now it's showing here I'll show Richard. Is this backwards? Should it be the first time? I do plus six and plus five. Right. [00:07:51] Speaker F: What here is very strange. [00:07:54] Speaker C: Right. [00:07:54] Speaker A: What does it say? [00:07:55] Speaker C: So the scimitar the first time around is a plus eight to attack, but then for the damage because it's forceful. Is that what it is? [00:08:11] Speaker D: I think it only steps up. You can hit, though. [00:08:13] Speaker C: Right. [00:08:14] Speaker F: Although the more you damage, it'll do. [00:08:17] Speaker C: Right. [00:08:18] Speaker F: Every time. So that's correct. [00:08:19] Speaker A: All right. [00:08:20] Speaker C: So it would be ten damage for the first one. [00:08:25] Speaker A: All right, go ahead. Which next? [00:08:27] Speaker F: Action. [00:08:27] Speaker C: Do it again. 16 hit, take seven damage. [00:08:33] Speaker A: All right. And last action. [00:08:37] Speaker C: How's an eleven? [00:08:38] Speaker A: How about a hit? [00:08:39] Speaker C: All right, let's do it. Four, seven damage. [00:08:42] Speaker A: All right, temid. You just see chunks of gel jello just flying off of this thing. [00:08:49] Speaker B: Well, I can't even see it. I'm outside of the room. [00:08:52] Speaker A: No, you get hit with some jello as it flies out the door, smash you the face. What flavor is it? [00:08:58] Speaker C: Acid. [00:08:59] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:08:59] Speaker D: Burning. [00:09:03] Speaker A: Pineapple and orange. It's just all the acidic fruit, pineapple. [00:09:09] Speaker C: Specifically, because it actively does try to digest it's slower than your own. [00:09:14] Speaker A: So go ahead. Okay. [00:09:15] Speaker B: So, yeah, he enters your room. He's got 25ft of movement speed, so he kind of just threads his way through his allies all right. And gets to a position where he can get right up on this. [00:09:28] Speaker A: Can you do that in one boot? [00:09:30] Speaker D: I think he's going to take two. [00:09:31] Speaker B: All right, that sounds good. And then he just takes a swing because it's a big easy target, and unless it explodes or something in second edition, I'm hoping it won't kill me. It's a 21 total. [00:09:44] Speaker A: That's a hit. [00:09:45] Speaker B: All right. It's a crit. [00:09:48] Speaker A: Yeah. If they could be crit and they can't be crit. They can't be what? [00:09:55] Speaker F: They drew the card and everything. [00:09:58] Speaker B: You know, I think we should just use it anyways because he went through all the effort of taking the card. [00:10:02] Speaker A: How much damage do you do? [00:10:05] Speaker B: Five points of damage. So he kind of thrusts at this in a very nondescript area. Whatever it is, it's a queue. It's a queue. [00:10:11] Speaker D: All of it is nondescript. [00:10:12] Speaker C: Yeah. I just have to say that the last damage, I did remove it because I'm still slowed, so I didn't take that turn. [00:10:20] Speaker A: No, that was a different combat. [00:10:22] Speaker D: Yeah, it was for one turn, I think. [00:10:23] Speaker C: Was it one turn? [00:10:24] Speaker A: You're good? [00:10:24] Speaker C: Okay, I'll remove it. [00:10:25] Speaker A: All right. [00:10:25] Speaker C: Help me, Silver. [00:10:27] Speaker E: All right. Silver is going to cast Spartan inspiration, and as he does it, he'll say, like, y'all, I'm tired and I'm tired. [00:10:34] Speaker D: I'll get out. [00:10:35] Speaker F: So I'm just going to hang back here. [00:10:36] Speaker D: You got this you got this. [00:10:38] Speaker A: Don't worry. [00:10:40] Speaker E: He's just going to chill, maybe take a seat. He's a 75 year old man. He doesn't need to rush around. If there's a seat somewhere, he'll just sit and smoke. His pipe broken. [00:10:52] Speaker A: He almost died today. [00:10:54] Speaker F: It's just been a really bad day. [00:10:55] Speaker E: For all of us. Maybe smoke his pipe. Just have a long sip. But he'll be expiring. All right, by relaxing. [00:11:02] Speaker C: Soraya did Arcana. [00:11:05] Speaker A: Occultism. [00:11:06] Speaker C: Occultism. All right. I still have occultism. 20. [00:11:10] Speaker A: You critically succeed. So you can know three things about this Gelatinous cube. [00:11:16] Speaker B: Nice. [00:11:17] Speaker C: Resistances or immunities. [00:11:19] Speaker A: It is resistant to electricity. [00:11:22] Speaker C: Five. [00:11:23] Speaker A: All right. [00:11:24] Speaker C: Weaknesses? [00:11:24] Speaker A: Oh, immunities. You also asked for right. Acid, critical hits, mental precision, unconsciousness and visual and weaknesses. No in particular. [00:11:35] Speaker C: Okay, that's three. Or is that two? That's two, I believe two. Okay, I'll let it go. [00:11:41] Speaker A: It's a cubic cube. [00:11:43] Speaker C: Yeah, it's a cubic cube. [00:11:50] Speaker A: Hit points. Yes. How many? Okay, it started with 90. [00:11:55] Speaker C: How many does it have now? [00:11:56] Speaker B: So you did seven. I did five. Did anybody else do damage to it? [00:12:00] Speaker C: Yeah, well, you did, like, 15. [00:12:02] Speaker A: You've done 36 to it. [00:12:04] Speaker C: Okay, so I knocked it down by a third. That's not bad. Yeah, we got going to be here a while. [00:12:08] Speaker F: A third of it has been chipped off. [00:12:10] Speaker A: Yes. [00:12:11] Speaker C: It is no longer a cube. It is a rectangle. I just wanted to make a sword. [00:12:16] Speaker A: Wait. [00:12:17] Speaker B: We made it from three dimensional to a two dimensional. [00:12:19] Speaker A: It's a Rhombus now. [00:12:22] Speaker C: It's a rectangular prism. [00:12:24] Speaker A: It is now a gelatinous d eight. Anyway. [00:12:28] Speaker C: Okay, so it's immune to acid, electricity. [00:12:31] Speaker A: Or it's resistant to electricity for five points. If it ignores the first five points, yes, it is immune to acid. [00:12:37] Speaker C: Okay, well, I guess I won't be throwing my acid flaps at it. [00:12:40] Speaker A: I mean, you can. [00:12:40] Speaker C: I don't want to. [00:12:41] Speaker A: It'll be a waste. But you could. [00:12:45] Speaker C: She's going to take her second action to move. [00:12:48] Speaker A: You actually have to move and see it before you can make that knowledge. [00:12:52] Speaker C: Okay, so her first action is to move. [00:12:53] Speaker A: Okay. [00:12:53] Speaker C: Recall knowledge. And then she's going to pull out her sling. [00:12:56] Speaker A: All right, that's it. [00:12:58] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:12:58] Speaker A: Twin. [00:12:59] Speaker D: All right. I don't think Matal needs to know anything about this to decide to shoot it. So he's just going to shoot it. [00:13:03] Speaker A: All right. [00:13:05] Speaker D: I hate that it can't be crit. [00:13:07] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:13:08] Speaker A: Sorry. [00:13:09] Speaker D: I rolled 24. [00:13:12] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that's way above and beyond. [00:13:14] Speaker D: So, two damage with the first arrow. 45 more arrows to go. Here we go. I rolled. I'm going to actually miss. [00:13:25] Speaker A: Seven. That misses. What does it say? [00:13:28] Speaker C: See? Ten. [00:13:29] Speaker A: Maybe you didn't ask. [00:13:32] Speaker D: So the one I rolled that missed had six damage, and the two that I rolled that hit each have two. So it's another two damage from my third arrow. [00:13:39] Speaker A: All right, we're going back to the top of the round. Temid, give me a reflex save. [00:13:45] Speaker B: Sure, no problem. Oh, I'm sorry. You reflex save. [00:13:47] Speaker A: I gave you the yeah, no, that's very, very close. [00:13:50] Speaker D: Visual gags were great on this audio medium memoir nine total total. [00:13:57] Speaker A: You are engulfed by this gelatinous cue. [00:14:02] Speaker D: And we all thought pond watcher was the first one to go. [00:14:04] Speaker A: I now need you to give me a fortitude save immediately. [00:14:10] Speaker C: Wait. Am I close? [00:14:11] Speaker F: Yeah, you're right next to him. [00:14:13] Speaker C: Am I 15ft from him? [00:14:14] Speaker A: Yes. [00:14:15] Speaker C: Okay, how about we liberate him? [00:14:17] Speaker D: True. Yeah, this is a great useful yeah, no, thank you. [00:14:21] Speaker A: So to remake that role, right, he. [00:14:25] Speaker B: Swings at this thing, right? And just a couple of seconds later, it starts engulfing him and he starts thinking to himself, wait a second, I'm a cleric. Why am I standing in the front line? I don't even have anything but light armor. [00:14:35] Speaker C: Arm any hero as they copyright out. [00:14:40] Speaker A: Do you automatically save him from it? [00:14:42] Speaker C: You free an alley from restraint. If the trigger is an ally taking damage, the ally gains resistance to all damage against a triggering damage equal to two plus your level. The ally can attempt to break free of the grabbing effect, restraining immobilizing or paralyzing them. [00:14:54] Speaker A: You either attempt, so you still need to make the first save, but you get to roll a second save. Fortitude save. [00:15:02] Speaker B: Oh, that's a good 123. [00:15:04] Speaker A: Okay, you're good. [00:15:05] Speaker B: Sweet. [00:15:06] Speaker D: But there's a second part of her effect. [00:15:07] Speaker A: Yes, or a third part, which is. [00:15:10] Speaker C: If you can now move, since you're free, you can take a step as a free action even if they didn't mean to escape. [00:15:18] Speaker D: And you've got the advanced version now where they can take two steps, right? [00:15:21] Speaker C: Yes. And you are unimpeded or unaffected by difficult terrain, greater difficult terrain at narrow surfaces or uneven ground. [00:15:32] Speaker A: So you can take two five foot squares. [00:15:34] Speaker B: Okay, away. I take it towards the exit back where I came from. [00:15:40] Speaker A: All right, so you step away if. [00:15:43] Speaker B: You could just move it two squares. Not that guy, that guy. Yes. [00:15:57] Speaker A: And then it's going to try and pop brienna in the face. [00:16:01] Speaker C: Come at me, bro. [00:16:02] Speaker A: 26. [00:16:03] Speaker C: You got me. [00:16:04] Speaker A: 427. Sorry. Is that a crit? [00:16:06] Speaker B: Just keep going. [00:16:07] Speaker A: No. Okay, 28 a crit. [00:16:09] Speaker B: 29 a crit. [00:16:10] Speaker A: So you take five acid damage and you know what? You give me a fortitude save now. Yeah, that's right. [00:16:18] Speaker C: Where is my fortitude? There it is. [00:16:20] Speaker B: Okay, I use Liberating step. [00:16:22] Speaker C: If only. How is a 24? [00:16:28] Speaker A: They are fine. Cool. [00:16:30] Speaker D: That's what we need. We need a party of six liberators who just chain liberating step each other. [00:16:35] Speaker A: Pond watcher, you're up. [00:16:36] Speaker D: No one takes any damage. Everyone's moving cost. [00:16:38] Speaker F: Pond watcher sees this thing trying to eat his friends and he says only I eat my friends. He will swing with his sword thrice. [00:16:46] Speaker B: What is he trying to say? [00:16:49] Speaker C: I don't know what this means. [00:16:52] Speaker D: What'd you roll rich? [00:16:53] Speaker F: Eleven. [00:16:54] Speaker D: Okay, that's a hit. [00:16:55] Speaker F: Yes, baby, that is I'm very stupid. Give me a second. 14 slashing damage and two cold damage. See the he swings his sword. [00:17:08] Speaker B: Smoke coming out of Sean's ears right now. [00:17:10] Speaker F: Twelve. [00:17:11] Speaker A: That's a hit. [00:17:12] Speaker F: That is eight slashing damage and two cold damage. He's going to roll once more because what's the worst that could happen? True that barely rolled. That is a sorry, a seven. [00:17:26] Speaker A: That is a miss. Chop. [00:17:28] Speaker F: Chop. [00:17:28] Speaker A: Brienna. [00:17:30] Speaker C: I'm going to do a swing as well. Do not eat me because I have a what, Richard? What is that? What is that, 20? Yes, I have a NIT for 28. That's a hit still for a somehow I doubted that. Nine damage. [00:17:48] Speaker A: Okay. [00:17:49] Speaker D: Is it dead? [00:17:50] Speaker B: No, I see him making check marks, I guess, on this thing. And the last line, I think we're. [00:17:58] Speaker A: On the last line until I flip it over. You're kidding. [00:18:01] Speaker D: It's just a page full of zeros. [00:18:03] Speaker E: He's crossing off. [00:18:04] Speaker C: Take another nine damage. [00:18:05] Speaker A: All right. [00:18:07] Speaker C: And take twelve damage. [00:18:12] Speaker A: All right. With that final slice, the cube falls down flat and dissipates across. [00:18:20] Speaker B: It's a cube. [00:18:20] Speaker A: It can't fall down. No, it's silicate, it deflates. [00:18:24] Speaker B: I know, I know, I was being. [00:18:26] Speaker A: Pedantic out of the goo. You see some bones that could have been me if it was, that are completely stripped clean of flesh. [00:18:41] Speaker F: Gross. [00:18:43] Speaker C: Jasper definitely goes over and starts trying to crack them and see if there's marrow. [00:18:46] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, absolutely. [00:18:47] Speaker F: They're covered in acid. Jasper, be careful. [00:18:51] Speaker D: I'm actually curious about your weapons. [00:18:54] Speaker A: They're fine. Are they okay? Yes. Your skin is not fine wherever it touched you or landed on you, but your metal is fine. [00:19:06] Speaker D: Interesting. [00:19:07] Speaker B: Yeah, that's the thing. I've played some modules in pathfinder where there's a gelatinous cube and all you see is like a plate of armor. Like plate armor kind of slowly moving. [00:19:18] Speaker A: Towards funny that you mentioned that inside the cube you see a metal weapon and some leather armor and all of that is fine. [00:19:28] Speaker B: The leather armor is confusing me. [00:19:31] Speaker A: Maybe what weapon is it is a scimitar. Oh, interesting. Go on. [00:19:39] Speaker D: I also think that this cube is. [00:19:41] Speaker A: Not acidic or very weak. [00:19:43] Speaker D: I think it is it's basic. [00:19:45] Speaker F: You basic. [00:19:47] Speaker D: Going to push up my chem gogs real quick. [00:19:49] Speaker F: Oh, God. You do. [00:19:51] Speaker A: Find some Uggs and a pumpkin spice latte inside of it. [00:19:56] Speaker C: I'll hand those to Pond. Watcher. [00:19:58] Speaker B: Yeah, baby. [00:19:58] Speaker C: Yes. [00:19:59] Speaker F: Finally. My ankles were so cold. [00:20:05] Speaker A: Okay, so, yes, there is a cemetery. [00:20:07] Speaker C: Now that your ankles are warm. Has your will to live returned? [00:20:10] Speaker F: I did actually do some damage that time. So I feel much better now because. [00:20:14] Speaker B: It'S so easy to hit. [00:20:15] Speaker D: How about you shut up? [00:20:17] Speaker F: I'm hanging on by a thread, man. [00:20:18] Speaker D: I accidentally shoot temit in the back of the thought. [00:20:21] Speaker C: Accidentally. [00:20:22] Speaker B: I used to be an adventurer until I take an arrow to the back of the knee. [00:20:26] Speaker A: Okay, so, yes, there is a scimitar in this cube as well as a bunch of tools and anvils. [00:20:35] Speaker D: Multiple anvils. [00:20:37] Speaker A: Yes. [00:20:37] Speaker D: In the cube? [00:20:38] Speaker A: No, in the room. In the room. There are also, like, very cold forges, but there's also anvils and armor repair tools because this is broom and armor racks that are knocked over and other debris. [00:20:56] Speaker D: Very cool. Yeah. [00:20:59] Speaker A: Yes, apparently. Yeah. [00:21:00] Speaker D: I'm interested in the armor to see if it's anything there's no armor. You said there was a suit of leather armor. [00:21:05] Speaker A: It's not. It looks like standard. Basic leather armor. [00:21:10] Speaker C: How about the scimitar? What do I roll to? No. [00:21:12] Speaker A: Crafting. How do we detect things in this new one? [00:21:15] Speaker D: So you cast, detect magic, then if anything magic is within 30ft of you, you don't know anything new, and then you go about your day leaving all the magic items behind. I think that's how it works. [00:21:25] Speaker C: Oh, that makes perfect sense. [00:21:26] Speaker A: So I'll just tell you this. It is a plus one scimitar. [00:21:30] Speaker F: Nice. [00:21:30] Speaker A: All right, so it is a plus one scimitar. [00:21:33] Speaker C: I'll do that. Thank you. [00:21:35] Speaker F: So that's plus one to hit, yes. [00:21:37] Speaker A: No, it's a plus one to damage. No. Plus one to hit. Yes. [00:21:41] Speaker C: Okay, and the armor you said is just normal? [00:21:44] Speaker A: Regular, normal, regular leather armor. [00:21:46] Speaker C: It'll dissolve living flesh, but not dead flesh. [00:21:49] Speaker A: Correct. [00:21:50] Speaker D: Okay, well, it's been treated probably, right? [00:21:52] Speaker C: Like I said, probably a very weak acid. Yeah, no, it was a baby. [00:21:57] Speaker D: And again, I'm pretty sure it's basic. [00:21:59] Speaker C: Yeah, basic. Do they get more potent as they get older? Is that how Jaw and his cubes work? [00:22:04] Speaker A: The acid probably gets stronger as they age and ferment like dragons. [00:22:10] Speaker C: Can I then in the aftermath of this cube, can I bottle some of that up and keep it as alchemy? Crafting. [00:22:16] Speaker A: Give me a craft check. [00:22:18] Speaker C: 16. [00:22:19] Speaker A: Yes. You can get two things of Regents from it. [00:22:23] Speaker D: Well, Regents. [00:22:25] Speaker C: I assume he meant reagents. [00:22:26] Speaker A: Reagents. Sorry. You can get two reagents. [00:22:29] Speaker C: I have two Regents. I have two. [00:22:33] Speaker F: I drink a healing so is that enough for two? [00:22:35] Speaker C: Like, for if I make a crafting check, that's enough for two? [00:22:38] Speaker B: How about instead of that, how far are you down? [00:22:42] Speaker C: Okay, why are we making mouth noises? [00:22:43] Speaker F: What are you saying to me? [00:22:44] Speaker B: How far are you down? [00:22:45] Speaker F: Oh, I'm fine. I just drank this healing potion. [00:22:48] Speaker B: Why don't we rewind a little bit and see if I can because I. [00:22:50] Speaker A: Already deleted it off my character. [00:22:53] Speaker F: All right, we have a long way to go. You will need the spell for someone else, I'm sure. [00:22:57] Speaker A: All right. [00:22:58] Speaker E: How long have we been adventuring ever. [00:23:00] Speaker B: Using a spell on you ever again? [00:23:01] Speaker A: Is that what happened? It hasn't been that long down here, probably, so clearly it's been 15 hours. It's been like 2 hours total. With all the searching and the talking with the creatures and whatnot, the resting? Not resting resting, but like cleaning the gelatinous cube stuff off your armor and whatnot. [00:23:20] Speaker F: So Twin Talon, you said? You think maybe there's bones or undead creatures of some sort? [00:23:27] Speaker D: Yes, in that original hallway. The three paths to the left led to the goblin warren. But the three paths to the right, I believe, lead to the crypt that the hell knights bury their dead in. And from the notes I read, there are wards on the Hell knights to prevent them from being raised from the dead. But if someone tries, some of them will animate to defend the crypt. And if the cobalt, the tiny dragons, are to be believed, they heard phones rattling around on that side, so someone might have tried to raise them. The elven person they saw running in. Do we think that's we yeah. [00:24:10] Speaker E: Would it be a reasonable assumption to say that we are close to the scripts? [00:24:14] Speaker D: We're down the hall. [00:24:16] Speaker E: Yeah. So I'm wondering, have we expended a lot of our resources? Are we confident in our abilities and resources to attack these things if we encounter undead hell nights? [00:24:28] Speaker D: We picked up 80 arrows upstairs, so I'm good. [00:24:31] Speaker C: I think I have plenty of ammo for my sling. It worked well against the last batch of skeletons. [00:24:35] Speaker B: I've got almost all of my spells. [00:24:38] Speaker E: All right. [00:24:39] Speaker C: Did you want to take a nap? [00:24:42] Speaker E: I only have two or well, three first level spells, so I have one left. [00:24:48] Speaker A: I believe he wants to get the early bird special. [00:24:51] Speaker E: Denny's. I want to go to Denny's. [00:24:53] Speaker B: Golden Corral is get some. [00:24:54] Speaker A: Golden Corral 04:00 it's Time for His. [00:24:57] Speaker D: Bedtime clearly old country with bay. [00:25:00] Speaker F: Well, I'm going to switch to that flail. The silver flail we found. We found other things. If you guys want to use these. [00:25:07] Speaker D: Bludgeoning things for skeletons, I think the impulse to use the solar flare is a very good one. [00:25:13] Speaker F: Thank you. [00:25:14] Speaker D: All right. [00:25:15] Speaker B: It's okay with you guys. [00:25:16] Speaker D: I will lead the way to make sure there aren't any traps. If the helmites are already warding their undead again or they're dead against becoming undead, there also might be traps down there. [00:25:26] Speaker C: Either way. [00:25:26] Speaker B: Okay, so Rich and I just mimed the fact that he threw the light mace to me. [00:25:32] Speaker A: Okay, and you missed it, and it hit you in the face, right? [00:25:35] Speaker B: It hit me in the eye, specifically, I'm now blind. [00:25:38] Speaker F: Silver mace. [00:25:38] Speaker C: Oh, I thought your nose was broken again. [00:25:40] Speaker A: All right. [00:25:40] Speaker B: No, that's just how it always looks. [00:25:42] Speaker A: Thanks for noticing. Twin Talon is leading the group nose dissing. Twin Talon is leading the group westerly back down the hallway and then to the south. There are three possible chambers to the south. [00:25:57] Speaker D: I would just take the first one. There's no reason to unless my map shows something different. But you said that there is a map. [00:26:03] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:26:03] Speaker C: Before we get into combat, can I stock a slug into my sling so I don't have to load it when we get there? [00:26:09] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. So on the map, you notice that two of the furthest two corridors to the west lead to two different tombs. You can assume one of them leads to the general grave area. The other one would lead to that special room with the leaders of the Hellmites, or former leaders of the Hell Knights. Aren't. The third hallway ends in a dead end as far as the map goes. [00:26:41] Speaker D: So considering we've run into hallways that lead to nothing that had secret doors of them upstairs, sure. It doesn't make any sense to me that they would build a hallway to nothing on purpose. So at the very least, I'd like to check it out. Lead us down that hallway first. If somebody could cast light on I. [00:26:59] Speaker A: Believe it's still on Brianna's shield. [00:27:01] Speaker C: And I'm at your shoulder. [00:27:03] Speaker D: Okay, so it'll be Twin Talon, then Brianna, then what's the Order after that? This is a single file hallway? [00:27:08] Speaker A: Yes. [00:27:08] Speaker E: I'll be in the large hallway outside. [00:27:10] Speaker C: Okay, who's next? After me? [00:27:14] Speaker B: I can go. [00:27:15] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll probably hang out after you. [00:27:17] Speaker A: So pond watcher is in the back. [00:27:19] Speaker F: I go home. Yeah, no, I'm in the back. [00:27:21] Speaker C: Protect the rest of us from anything. [00:27:23] Speaker E: Coming down the now. Just a reminder, if we were to roll initiative, we would roll what we were doing in our exploration mode. [00:27:31] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. So you are all perceiving right now? Yes. What is your bonus on perception? Twin talon plus six. Excellent. At the end of the hallway. You are absolutely correct. You find a secret door. [00:27:46] Speaker C: Good job. [00:27:47] Speaker D: Sneaky ass. Hell Knights ain't getting up past me. [00:27:51] Speaker A: What's your architecture lore bonus? [00:27:52] Speaker D: Oh, that's infinitely high. [00:27:55] Speaker B: Just having it 1 million. [00:27:57] Speaker D: Plus million. [00:27:59] Speaker F: Sorry. [00:27:59] Speaker D: It is plus five. [00:28:00] Speaker A: All right, so with the natural 20 that I roll. [00:28:03] Speaker F: Nice. [00:28:04] Speaker A: You know that this is probably the even more important people tomb that is completely hidden. It's probably where the Lictors of the Hell Knights lictors are the leaders of the Hell Knight Order where they are buried. [00:28:20] Speaker B: Okay, can you share that with us? [00:28:21] Speaker D: So, twin talon, upon finding the secret door and kind of looking and thinking about where everything is turn around. I believe that this is being kept secret even off of that map. Because while there might be four important Hell Knights that they want everybody to know are buried here, there's probably something even more secret, maybe higher up. Hell Knights in the Order, which are kept away from the general population that would come down here. I mean, if my intuition is correct, they're probably being kept secret even from the basic rank and file Hell Knights. So what might be in here could be very dangerous. [00:28:56] Speaker C: Where the skeletons might be. [00:28:58] Speaker A: I doubt it. [00:28:59] Speaker D: The only reason I say that is because they rise as a response to trying to be raised. So I would bet that whoever was here before, unless they knew that this was here, probably didn't come down this way. Although there could be other traps or countermeasures. Yeah, other countermeasures. If they went to this much trouble. [00:29:17] Speaker C: To keep it hidden, but if these were higher ranking members in the or that, wouldn't the younger members or the lesser members want to come here to venerate or show respect to? From what you were saying, it sounds like there's an area where they can do that with some of the Hell Knights, some of the most powerful, if they are buried with their armor or article, that's understandable. [00:29:42] Speaker A: Right. [00:29:43] Speaker D: I think the other four are kind of like Hell Knights to be aspired to prominent figures. These may not be the most prominent figures, but they are probably the most important people to the order. [00:29:54] Speaker C: I understand. Thank you. [00:29:56] Speaker D: Okay, so as long as everybody is good, what are we talking about at night? [00:30:04] Speaker E: You all are whispering down there. I can't really hear you all, but sure, it's fine. [00:30:10] Speaker A: Okay. [00:30:10] Speaker D: Twin Talon will with his bow still out, he's going to very stealthily try to open this door. [00:30:17] Speaker A: Okay. [00:30:18] Speaker C: Jessica goes without saying that Brianna shield is raised, since I'm providing the source of light as well. [00:30:22] Speaker A: Despite the door being hidden, it slides open very easily for you. Six looming raised diocese stretch from east to west in this chamber, each bearing a massive stone coffin with a carving of fully armored and armed helmites laying in a stately repose. Upon closer inspection, the details of the various weapons and minor variations in the armor of the figures distinguish these as tombs. Three of the coffin's looms ominously open. The east wall bears a complex series of inscriptions composed of faintly glowing, pale blue ruins. [00:31:00] Speaker C: Can you read them? Are they infernal? [00:31:02] Speaker D: I will check. What language? Or are they in common or shawanti. [00:31:06] Speaker A: Or they are in. Infernal. Okay. [00:31:08] Speaker D: What's this? [00:31:09] Speaker A: The runes have our names. So you see that the names are lictor Seraphina, Deviri, lictor Rexnold Haverskin and Lictor yorick Milano. The other three names and the runes are smudged out. Those are also the three that bloom ominously. [00:31:30] Speaker C: I'm willing to bet those might be the ones that activate if someone tries to race them. [00:31:36] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:31:36] Speaker D: So everybody be on your guard. Twin Talon will sneak into the room to see if he can get because it looks like these are very I'm guessing because they're only 5ft tall, they're probably actually stood up on end. [00:31:47] Speaker A: Yes. [00:31:47] Speaker D: But they probably block line of sight, the other side. [00:31:49] Speaker A: Correct. [00:31:50] Speaker D: So Twin Fallon is going to try to swing around because this room is long. [00:31:55] Speaker A: It's like a U or like an. [00:31:57] Speaker D: O or an O. [00:31:59] Speaker E: Right. [00:32:00] Speaker D: But it's long and thin. So it's 15ft wide and roughly 40ft long. So he's going to kind of walk straight in very sneakily to try to get around and see if he can see behind the row of sarcophagus that we can't see from the door. [00:32:15] Speaker A: As soon as you get in there, you hear a screeching sound and three whites show up. What wightwight like from the Isle of White? [00:32:27] Speaker D: They're British, is what I'm saying. [00:32:29] Speaker F: Oh, hello. Welcome to the Hell night Fortress. [00:32:36] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Great. [00:32:38] Speaker E: I love that our rogue is taking point on this when there's three white. [00:32:44] Speaker F: Bad luck. [00:32:45] Speaker C: He was still things that help him at all. [00:32:47] Speaker F: They were locked in here by themselves and we should have just walked around, stolen everything and then left. [00:32:54] Speaker B: We'll put them to rest. [00:32:55] Speaker E: I wonder if whites in this edition have any sort of, like, breath weapons for this lovely lineup. [00:33:02] Speaker C: Those things are horrifying. [00:33:03] Speaker A: All right, well, back up and close the door and then we'll listen. It's time to you all hear the Shriek. Twin Talon, roll your initiative with your stealth modifier. Everyone else, roll with your perception modifier. Yeah, go ahead. [00:33:16] Speaker C: 20. [00:33:17] Speaker A: All right, soraya has 20. Pond watcher 21. All right, brienna, 22. [00:33:28] Speaker B: Temid, 25. [00:33:31] Speaker A: Silver 23. Twin, 24. [00:33:35] Speaker D: Toby, 24. [00:33:37] Speaker A: Are you serious? [00:33:38] Speaker D: Seriously? I switched up my D 20 because my last one hated me, apparently, and I rolled a 16 plus eight. My stealth is 24. [00:33:47] Speaker A: We were all really what do we. [00:33:49] Speaker C: Get for a straight? We got 21, 20 through 25. [00:33:53] Speaker A: Twin, what is your stealth modifier plus eight? [00:33:57] Speaker D: I'm quick. Quick like a bunny. [00:33:58] Speaker A: Yes. Apparently. Timid, you go first. [00:34:01] Speaker B: All right, so Temid enters a room. Basically, it's a tough one because we got a line. I don't want to kind of stop things. I don't want to stand there. [00:34:12] Speaker A: It's also pitch black in there if you get too far from the light. [00:34:15] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. How far into it? [00:34:19] Speaker D: Well, it's 20ft, right? [00:34:21] Speaker A: Yes, but it's in a hallway, so it's only going to go straight ahead. [00:34:25] Speaker C: It'll hit a little bit. [00:34:27] Speaker B: Yeah, that's fine. I'll stand right there, which is basically gives everyone one space in order to either pass through me or to turn the corner and continue to fight one of the other whites. There is sorry, recall knowledge. That's going to be an action, correct? Yes, I want to do that. [00:34:47] Speaker A: Just religion. [00:34:48] Speaker B: Yes. [00:34:49] Speaker A: What do they look like? [00:34:50] Speaker B: Yes. [00:34:51] Speaker A: While I roll, tell us what they look like. So these look like ghostly visages of Helmite. [00:34:59] Speaker D: Are they corporeal or incaporeal? [00:35:00] Speaker A: They are corporeal. [00:35:01] Speaker D: Oh, thank goodness. [00:35:03] Speaker A: 1717 will give you two questions. [00:35:06] Speaker B: Can I have some help with the questions? [00:35:08] Speaker C: Weaknesses. [00:35:09] Speaker E: Are they immune to critical? [00:35:11] Speaker B: Okay, let's start with weaknesses. [00:35:14] Speaker A: Weaknesses, they have no weaknesses. Do they like chips? [00:35:20] Speaker D: That's their weakness. [00:35:21] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:35:21] Speaker B: So can I take that question back? [00:35:22] Speaker A: No. Damn it. [00:35:24] Speaker B: First question. Resistances, though, anything that resistance, yes, resistances and immunities. [00:35:29] Speaker A: Jinx. [00:35:29] Speaker B: Knock on wood. I knocked on it. You can't talk. This is terrible for our podcast. [00:35:34] Speaker A: They are immune to death effects, disease, paralysis, poison, and unconsciousness. [00:35:41] Speaker D: So not precision damage, but not mind affecting effects. [00:35:45] Speaker A: Correct. Okay, and what's your last action? [00:35:48] Speaker B: He's going to cast shield. Okay, it's been more than ten minutes. [00:35:52] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely has. All right, Twin Talon, you're up. [00:35:56] Speaker D: Okay, can I get a clean shot on the one that's right around the corner or no, from where I am. [00:36:02] Speaker A: It would definitely get some armor, get a little bonus, unless you come in. [00:36:08] Speaker D: Okay, then if I'm going to have to move, I'm going to move through Temid, and I'm going to fire at the one in that back row. [00:36:15] Speaker A: Okay? Go ahead and make that attack roll. [00:36:18] Speaker D: 22 hit. [00:36:21] Speaker A: All right? [00:36:22] Speaker D: And because I went first. Sneak, sneak attack. [00:36:25] Speaker B: Sweet. [00:36:25] Speaker D: That is five damage. [00:36:27] Speaker A: Okay? [00:36:27] Speaker D: And then I will shoot him again. [00:36:29] Speaker A: Or her. [00:36:30] Speaker D: Twelve on the second attack. [00:36:31] Speaker A: Miss. Okay. Not a critical look. [00:36:33] Speaker F: All right, so these fully armored Hell Knight whites have less AC than dolls that we found. [00:36:41] Speaker C: These are elite. Yeah. [00:36:43] Speaker A: So the white with the red base, I'm confused. [00:36:49] Speaker B: What color are we talking about now? [00:36:50] Speaker A: He's going to take a step forward and attack Temit. [00:36:54] Speaker D: Will he get cover from attacking around the sarcophagus? [00:36:57] Speaker A: I'll give him a partial cover. [00:37:00] Speaker B: So that's plus two, that works for me. So you're aiming for 22. [00:37:04] Speaker A: Does a 27 hit? [00:37:05] Speaker B: I think you're lying, but yes, it hits. And I raise my shield. So five hardness. [00:37:10] Speaker A: Okay, so you take ten damage, all right? Ten slashing as the that's before anything is taken away. Ten slashing as its claw rakes across you. [00:37:23] Speaker B: So the shield absorbs five of that and disappears. And I cannot cast it for ten minutes. So I take five. [00:37:28] Speaker A: Give me a fortitude save trying to. [00:37:32] Speaker B: Continue to talk so that I distracted him and he would forget about it. All right, 17 on the die for a 24. [00:37:39] Speaker A: You're fine. [00:37:40] Speaker B: That's right. [00:37:41] Speaker A: And it's second attack you again. [00:37:44] Speaker B: Wait, after me again. [00:37:45] Speaker A: Second going to claw you again. [00:37:47] Speaker B: Okay, 1212 is it's a miss, but it's not a crit. [00:37:50] Speaker C: Okay. [00:37:51] Speaker D: Oh, wait, no, your shield's gone. [00:37:52] Speaker B: Shield's gone. [00:37:53] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:37:53] Speaker B: Not a crit. [00:37:54] Speaker E: All right, Silver, I will have cast Bardic inspiration, okay? And then that'll be it, because there's really nothing. We're kind of squatted in there and not way too soft. [00:38:07] Speaker A: All right, so, Brienna, you're up next. [00:38:10] Speaker C: I think I shall move into the room. Okay, and those of you who can actually see Brianna, you see that she's kind of lit by this inner fire at seeing undead creatures. So, with the grace of the don. [00:38:26] Speaker A: Flower, let us hope you can all also now see in this room as her light penetrates everything. You see that there's? Natural 20. [00:38:36] Speaker C: Thank you, Serenre. This is my jam. [00:38:40] Speaker A: All right, so you step into the room. Your shield lights up the entire room. You now can see that there are three whites in there. You swing, you roll the natural 20. What does your crit card say? [00:38:50] Speaker F: Swing through, make an additional attack against a foe adjacent to the original target using the same attack modifier. [00:38:57] Speaker A: No. [00:38:59] Speaker D: You could hit semin if you want. [00:39:01] Speaker A: Yeah, sure. But you get double damage. Correct. [00:39:05] Speaker C: Double damage. So you just did the bardic. Bardic? So five it would be ten. No. Yes. No. [00:39:17] Speaker D: Whatever you roll plus five. [00:39:18] Speaker C: Right. So nine. [00:39:20] Speaker A: Nine times two. [00:39:21] Speaker F: Nine plus one is ten times two is 20. [00:39:24] Speaker A: There you go. [00:39:25] Speaker D: Whatever she rolled plus five. It's including silvers, right? [00:39:28] Speaker C: That is including silver. [00:39:29] Speaker D: So nine times two is 18. [00:39:30] Speaker C: Okay, I guess that's it. My apologies. Anyway, I'm going to do it again for 14 to hit. [00:39:38] Speaker A: Yes, miss. [00:39:39] Speaker C: Okay. And let's do it one more time. Why not? Did you have to move to the. [00:39:46] Speaker D: Room to get there? [00:39:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:39:47] Speaker C: Oh, do I? Oh, I did. Never mind. [00:39:49] Speaker A: So that natural one missed. [00:39:51] Speaker F: That's a shame because it was a 20, actually. [00:39:54] Speaker A: Pond watcher. [00:39:55] Speaker F: Yeah. Can I just take that before she. [00:39:56] Speaker C: Went anywhere, serra is just going to be like, oh, isn't that impressive? [00:39:59] Speaker A: Look at her. [00:40:00] Speaker C: So hard to be a matchmaker. [00:40:03] Speaker F: Pond watcher will enact his sudden charge to move to the other side of the bad guy. I can move up to twice my. [00:40:11] Speaker A: Speed, which is 30. [00:40:12] Speaker F: So 60ft. I swing my flail. This is a hell night. Flail for a hell night. Skull. 21. [00:40:19] Speaker A: Hit. [00:40:23] Speaker F: Seven bludgeoning damage, and then I will rage. Okay, should have done that first. [00:40:28] Speaker D: Oh, well, he's so angry. He didn't rage ahead of time. [00:40:32] Speaker A: Yeah, he raged. All right, SurreyA, she's going to try. [00:40:36] Speaker C: And skip down the hall. Can she fire her sling around the corner? No, and there's no way she's getting through that one. [00:40:44] Speaker A: White. [00:40:44] Speaker C: Okay, so that would be two movements and then her sling is loaded already. I'm sure he'll get some bonus from. [00:40:51] Speaker A: Pop culture being there a little bit. It's a big guy ten, miss. [00:40:55] Speaker C: Not so. [00:40:56] Speaker A: All right, so the other white meat. Yes. [00:41:01] Speaker C: Chicken. [00:41:03] Speaker B: Nice. [00:41:04] Speaker A: Just hangs out there. Can't really do anything. The one that is in front of will now swing a claw at him. [00:41:16] Speaker F: There is no way you can hit me. [00:41:19] Speaker D: Dear famous last words, critical fail. [00:41:23] Speaker F: Is this a named? [00:41:24] Speaker A: No, this is not. [00:41:26] Speaker B: Technically, there's no way that doesn't have a name. [00:41:29] Speaker A: Yeah, it does have a name. [00:41:31] Speaker D: Great. [00:41:31] Speaker F: Let me read this card that kills. [00:41:33] Speaker A: It's a natural attack. Let me read it. [00:41:35] Speaker B: You shouldn't be the one that has to kill yourself. It's a natural attack. [00:41:37] Speaker A: Yes. [00:41:38] Speaker B: Instant death. [00:41:41] Speaker C: Can you imagine? [00:41:42] Speaker B: I'm sorry, is it bludgeoning, piercing, flashing? [00:41:44] Speaker D: Probably slashing. [00:41:45] Speaker B: Slashing? Yeah, it's a claw parrying, strike, gain a plus two, circumstance bonus to AC until the end of your next turn. [00:41:52] Speaker D: Still double damage. [00:41:54] Speaker A: And can you also give me a fortitude save while I'm figuring out how much I hit you? [00:41:59] Speaker C: It's yours, but that die is yours. [00:42:02] Speaker F: 27. [00:42:04] Speaker A: All right, you're fine. But you take 18 points of slashing damage. What the ouch. 18. That doubles. [00:42:14] Speaker C: Okay? [00:42:14] Speaker A: Yeah, I crit. [00:42:15] Speaker F: So I double his fingers and go into his neck and just there's no. [00:42:19] Speaker D: Way you can are you still conscious? [00:42:21] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, good, because it's going to swing again at you. [00:42:24] Speaker F: Yeah, try again. [00:42:26] Speaker D: There's no way you could hit me. [00:42:27] Speaker F: Twice. [00:42:30] Speaker A: That'S a 20. Yeah, that hits. [00:42:33] Speaker C: No, it doesn't. I liberate him. [00:42:35] Speaker A: Then you need a fortitude save still. [00:42:37] Speaker F: I rolled a 20. [00:42:39] Speaker A: You're good. [00:42:39] Speaker F: Six. [00:42:40] Speaker A: You're good. And are you still there? [00:42:46] Speaker F: I'm here. I'm too angry to die. [00:42:49] Speaker A: Don't say that. [00:42:50] Speaker F: There's absolutely no way you can hit me a third time in a row. [00:42:54] Speaker A: 19 hit. [00:42:58] Speaker E: He's raging. [00:42:59] Speaker A: 18. Take another eight. And I need a fort save. [00:43:03] Speaker F: Pond watcher falls to the ground. [00:43:06] Speaker C: How long is the damage? Is the Dr for, like, the render. [00:43:09] Speaker F: Suggest for that triggering attack? [00:43:11] Speaker A: I think so, yes. What is your fort save? [00:43:14] Speaker B: 22. [00:43:15] Speaker A: You're fine, but you are now dying one. Hey, guys, I don't want to give too much away, but I don't know if you know lore about whites, but don't die by one. [00:43:25] Speaker D: If you die by the hand of the white, become a white. [00:43:28] Speaker A: Timid, you're up. [00:43:29] Speaker F: I'll live forever. [00:43:30] Speaker A: Stop talking. [00:43:32] Speaker B: So these are undead, correct? [00:43:34] Speaker A: I mean, yes. [00:43:35] Speaker D: Did you roll anything to know about them? [00:43:36] Speaker B: I rolled knowledge stalwell, I think. [00:43:38] Speaker D: Okay, I think you did roll. I would assume that you would know the basic of they are undead. [00:43:43] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:43:44] Speaker B: So if I were to heal you, you'd come back up, but then it's very possible that they could take you down again. [00:43:51] Speaker C: Yes. [00:43:51] Speaker B: All right, well, I can't reach him from here unless I do. [00:43:55] Speaker C: Going to take my turn to try and feed him a potion. It might take all three actions, but it's better than him dying. [00:44:02] Speaker B: You know what? I'll take a two action heal, and I'll do one D eight plus eight. [00:44:06] Speaker A: Can you reach him or do you. [00:44:07] Speaker D: It'S a range 30 range. [00:44:08] Speaker B: So if I use two actions, it's range. [00:44:11] Speaker A: All right. [00:44:12] Speaker D: It might still be worth taking your turn to heal him, though. [00:44:14] Speaker C: Yeah, to give him a Pokemon. [00:44:16] Speaker F: I'm fine. [00:44:16] Speaker D: Don't believe anything. [00:44:17] Speaker B: All right, 15 hit points. Whoa. So that's two actions. I use one of my healing fonts to do that and shit. That really puts a damper on what else I want to do. Thanks a lot. [00:44:30] Speaker F: Leave me. [00:44:30] Speaker B: All right. And then I stab him in the neck. [00:44:32] Speaker A: No, that's far away. Very counterproductive. [00:44:34] Speaker C: Ridiculous. [00:44:36] Speaker B: So my shield spell actually dissipated because at the beginning of the next turn is when it stops. And so since I didn't use it. [00:44:44] Speaker A: As a shield block you did. [00:44:45] Speaker B: Shit, I did. I have the worst memory in the. [00:44:48] Speaker D: Fucking immediately upon casting it, you used. [00:44:50] Speaker A: It as a shield? Yeah. [00:44:52] Speaker B: I don't remember it, so I'm still. [00:44:53] Speaker A: Going to do it anyway. No. [00:44:54] Speaker B: Okay, so there's nothing else I can do that's of any help here, so I'm just going to end my turn there. [00:44:59] Speaker A: All right. [00:44:59] Speaker D: Do you not have a sword out? [00:45:00] Speaker B: I can't reach anything. [00:45:02] Speaker D: It is attacking you. Yeah, you can attack. [00:45:04] Speaker A: Get right up in your face. The red. [00:45:06] Speaker B: I'm sorry. [00:45:07] Speaker A: All right, so swinging away. [00:45:09] Speaker B: Of course I'm going to swing away. [00:45:10] Speaker C: It's been a day. It's fine, don't worry. [00:45:12] Speaker B: 24 to hit. [00:45:13] Speaker A: That is a hit. [00:45:15] Speaker C: Get them. [00:45:16] Speaker B: And five points of damage. [00:45:18] Speaker A: All right. [00:45:18] Speaker D: See, that's not nothing. [00:45:19] Speaker B: That is not nothing. [00:45:20] Speaker C: Well done, Emma. [00:45:21] Speaker A: It's actually five more than nothing. All right, twin. Okay, you're up. [00:45:24] Speaker D: So Twin Talon sees Pond Watcher fall and then sees Tempet bring him back where he starts gasping for breath, I'm assuming. [00:45:30] Speaker A: Yes. [00:45:31] Speaker D: So Twin Talon's not going to let Pond Watcher go down if he can help it. So Twin Talon is going to basically wall jump for flavor. He's going to basically kick off one of the tombs around Soraya and then try to slide between the white's legs to get behind it. [00:45:50] Speaker A: Give me an Athletics, which is where the Acrobatics skill is now. No Acrobatics. It's still its own. Yes. [00:45:56] Speaker D: So in mechanic wise, it's the tumble through action. [00:45:59] Speaker A: Yes. [00:45:59] Speaker D: That is a 26 versus its reflex DC. [00:46:02] Speaker C: That is so cool. [00:46:03] Speaker A: You make it okay, easily. [00:46:05] Speaker D: So he pops up behind it and uses Quick Draw to draw his short sword and plunge it into the white. [00:46:11] Speaker A: All right. [00:46:11] Speaker D: And he is now flanking with Pandwatcher. [00:46:14] Speaker A: Yes. [00:46:15] Speaker D: He's so cool. That is a I'm not going to add the plus two to my attack. They're flat footed, right? [00:46:22] Speaker A: Correct. [00:46:23] Speaker D: So 22 hit. Okay, so we are flanking. So I get my sneak attack damage. [00:46:31] Speaker A: What the crap? [00:46:32] Speaker D: I rolled two once, so that's six damage. [00:46:35] Speaker A: All right. [00:46:35] Speaker D: And for my third action yes. I'm going to try to stab them again. [00:46:39] Speaker A: Stab them again. [00:46:40] Speaker D: In fact, I'm actually going to drop my bow and Quick Draw my second sword. [00:46:44] Speaker A: Okay. Did you add your bonus for silver? [00:46:48] Speaker D: I did not. [00:46:49] Speaker A: So that's another two. [00:46:50] Speaker D: No, another one damage. [00:46:51] Speaker A: Yes. All right. [00:46:52] Speaker D: Probably not 14 miss. Okay, that's still a hell even flat footed turn. [00:46:57] Speaker A: Yeah, barely flat miss. [00:47:00] Speaker B: Think about it. Just like him climbing up the wall, then sliding through the legs. That's pretty sweet. [00:47:04] Speaker A: All right, Timid, Temid white in front of you is really not happy. [00:47:09] Speaker B: I'm sorry I did whatever I did. Let's be friends. Would you like to have a drink? [00:47:14] Speaker A: 26. [00:47:14] Speaker B: 26 is a hit. It is not a crit. [00:47:16] Speaker A: All right, take eight slashing and give me a fortitude save. [00:47:22] Speaker F: All right, too late to leave the room. [00:47:28] Speaker B: Total ten. [00:47:29] Speaker A: You are now drained one. [00:47:32] Speaker D: Have we used that condition yet? [00:47:34] Speaker A: I don't believe so. [00:47:35] Speaker D: Let's go to the condition cards. I think you liberated since your last turn. [00:47:39] Speaker C: Correct. [00:47:39] Speaker D: Drained take a status penalty equal to the value on constitution based checks such as fortitude saves. You also lose hit points equal to your level times the drained value and your maximum hit points are reduced by the same amount. When you get a full night's rest, your drained value is reduced by one. [00:47:59] Speaker B: It's sucking the life out of me. [00:48:00] Speaker A: Not the good way. All right. It's going to attack you again. [00:48:04] Speaker B: I surrender. [00:48:04] Speaker A: I give up. [00:48:05] Speaker B: I hail. [00:48:05] Speaker A: You are my master now 26. [00:48:08] Speaker C: Fuck you. [00:48:09] Speaker B: That's my answer. Fuck you. [00:48:11] Speaker A: All right, ten damage held. It fortitude save. Yeah, hortitude save. Minus one. Remember, you're at minus one. [00:48:18] Speaker B: I wanted to call you a whore. [00:48:19] Speaker A: So bad and it just came half fortitude. [00:48:21] Speaker B: God damn it. Oh my God. Fucking this is too glittery. It's an eight on the die. 40 214. [00:48:31] Speaker A: You're now drained to stop. [00:48:34] Speaker D: And your fortitude goes down every time you get drained. So it's easier for them every time. [00:48:39] Speaker A: Critical miss. [00:48:41] Speaker D: Wait, it is named character. It is named and what type of weapon is it's? Melee. [00:48:46] Speaker A: Right, melee. [00:48:47] Speaker D: Sorry. Oh, this is full garbage. You hit an adjacent ally, you know what? [00:48:53] Speaker A: That other white would have stumbled forward. So I'm going to let it hit the other hit the guy behind him. Yay. Cool. [00:48:59] Speaker C: Thanks, John. [00:48:59] Speaker A: So I hit immediately or I roll the hit. [00:49:01] Speaker D: It just says you hit an adjacent ally, drain him. Or an ally hits ands or buts with both hands. [00:49:09] Speaker A: So that kind of stinks for them, but kind of doesn't anyway. Silver. You hear massive screaming. Someone a body hitting the floor. [00:49:19] Speaker F: Silver, save yourself. [00:49:21] Speaker E: Close the door and run. [00:49:24] Speaker A: Tell our story. [00:49:26] Speaker E: I have a quick question. I have a spell that's linked through the mind. Do I need to be able to see people? [00:49:31] Speaker A: I don't believe so. Through mind. [00:49:33] Speaker E: It's a mind thing. [00:49:34] Speaker D: But I think you still always have to have line of effect. [00:49:36] Speaker A: Oh, do you? Oh, line of effect. [00:49:38] Speaker D: Unless they have changed it for this edition, there has never been a point at which you do not need at least line of effect. [00:49:43] Speaker A: So if you move down the hallway. [00:49:45] Speaker E: A little bit, I can get in range. If I cement thing. [00:49:50] Speaker A: You can see temit. [00:49:52] Speaker E: I can see Temet. [00:49:53] Speaker A: Or that's brianna. [00:49:55] Speaker D: Brianna is lit up. [00:49:55] Speaker A: Yeah, you can see Brianna. Okay. [00:49:58] Speaker E: So I'm going to move my full compliment, like right here. I think that is so line of effect. It's 30ft. [00:50:06] Speaker A: Yes. [00:50:06] Speaker E: So I could affect temid, but I can't affect conwatcher, is that correct? Because conwatch is behind a wall. [00:50:11] Speaker A: Yes. [00:50:12] Speaker E: Okay, so I have not cast a spell before, but it's pretty cool. I'm going to cast spiritual link on temid. And so for next ten minutes, every round I will lose two hit points and you will gain two hit points. [00:50:28] Speaker B: I appreciate that. I have the same spell. [00:50:31] Speaker D: You should give it back to him. [00:50:35] Speaker B: Infinite energy. [00:50:35] Speaker D: Or you could do it to Pond watcher. [00:50:38] Speaker E: And then it's like and then it's. [00:50:39] Speaker F: Like Daisy joining Timid. [00:50:42] Speaker E: So you hear Timid hears Silver's voice, be like, all right, hold on. [00:50:51] Speaker B: He's looking up and looking at his side like, what's going on? Who is? [00:50:55] Speaker E: You feel like he's sort of life. [00:50:57] Speaker A: Energy giving you a boost. [00:50:58] Speaker E: That's really cool. [00:50:59] Speaker D: You taste jumbalaya in your mouth. [00:51:03] Speaker E: So you have twelve rounds before Silver Pat Die dies. But you get two hit points every round. [00:51:10] Speaker A: Brianna. [00:51:11] Speaker B: I mean, I appreciate it. I very much appreciate it. [00:51:13] Speaker C: Sure. I'll hit the one with the red base. How about are you still on the floor? [00:51:17] Speaker A: Yes. He hasn't stood up yet. [00:51:18] Speaker F: I'm just resting. [00:51:19] Speaker C: Okay, that's fine. 16. I'm not doing good this round. Apparently I miss again. [00:51:28] Speaker E: I did not have Barting inspiration that were on Fandom Castle. [00:51:34] Speaker C: I can't do it to you again. [00:51:36] Speaker B: It's all right. [00:51:36] Speaker C: I appreciate whatever. Oh, yeah, I miss again. [00:51:39] Speaker A: Anyway, how bad? Not bad. All right. [00:51:41] Speaker B: Not bad. [00:51:42] Speaker A: Oh, sorry. Pod watcher. Podwatcher, you up. [00:51:44] Speaker F: I wake up, I have lost my rage by falling unconscious. [00:51:49] Speaker D: Are you so fatigued? [00:51:50] Speaker F: No, I'm going to reach out with my flail and attempt to trip. [00:51:53] Speaker A: Okay the white. [00:51:54] Speaker F: Nice. An athletics check. Yes. [00:51:56] Speaker C: There we go. [00:51:57] Speaker A: 21 versus my athletics check versus his reflex. [00:52:00] Speaker D: DC, I believe. [00:52:01] Speaker A: Yes. That's a hit. You're tripped. Okay, the white falls down. [00:52:07] Speaker F: Now you're on the floor with me. I will stand up. [00:52:10] Speaker D: Is that like you thought I was trapped in here with you. [00:52:14] Speaker F: Now you're on the floor. Hail knight scum. And I'm going to swing down with the foil. 19. [00:52:22] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:52:23] Speaker F: Not raging anymore. Of course. [00:52:25] Speaker D: What does so prone loads their AC, doesn't it? [00:52:28] Speaker F: It does six damage. Bludgeoning just swings it around like a windmill right into its back. [00:52:33] Speaker A: All right. [00:52:34] Speaker F: I cannot rage again, ever. I've become a fighter. [00:52:39] Speaker A: The white that was hit by its friend looks very confused and just stands there. The white on the floor. That Pond Watcher just tripped will stand up. [00:52:50] Speaker D: Wish I had that opportunity. [00:52:52] Speaker A: Does anyone have a reaction? [00:52:53] Speaker F: No. [00:52:54] Speaker A: Excellent. [00:52:54] Speaker B: My reaction is oh, no. [00:52:55] Speaker A: Takes a swing at twin talon 29. [00:52:58] Speaker D: That is a critical hit. [00:53:00] Speaker C: Am I within 15ft of you? [00:53:02] Speaker E: I don't think so, no. [00:53:03] Speaker D: Unfortunately I've gone too far into the room. [00:53:05] Speaker A: I need that crit card by. [00:53:10] Speaker F: Slashing. [00:53:11] Speaker A: Yes. [00:53:12] Speaker F: Knockback. Push the target up to 10ft. [00:53:15] Speaker A: I can. I'm not going actually. Yeah going to push you back 10ft. [00:53:19] Speaker D: And you take I think that was it. [00:53:20] Speaker A: It's double damage too. [00:53:21] Speaker D: I don't think so. [00:53:22] Speaker A: I think it was just 18 points of damage. Ouch. [00:53:25] Speaker C: Good grief. [00:53:26] Speaker A: And I need a fort save. [00:53:27] Speaker F: I guess this does mess up our flanking. [00:53:29] Speaker D: Yeah, for a minute. [00:53:30] Speaker F: I'll be dead soon. [00:53:31] Speaker C: It's fine. [00:53:32] Speaker A: What are you at hit points wise? [00:53:33] Speaker B: 15. I'm at eleven. [00:53:35] Speaker D: Fortitude save is 23. [00:53:37] Speaker A: You're good. [00:53:37] Speaker D: And then it's 18 damage. [00:53:39] Speaker A: Yes. Second it's going to attack Pond watcher. [00:53:42] Speaker F: Because you can't hit me four times. [00:53:44] Speaker B: Shut up pond watcher. Shut up. [00:53:46] Speaker A: 15. [00:53:47] Speaker D: Miss. [00:53:48] Speaker A: All right, you're right. All right, we're going to go back to the top of the initiative round. [00:53:54] Speaker C: Did I skipped. [00:53:56] Speaker A: You got skipped. Sareia. Go ahead and take your action. [00:54:00] Speaker C: Well, I was going to give you the option to either have a lesser healing potion or a minor elixir of life. One does one d eight. The other does one d six plus in resistance to poison or disease. [00:54:13] Speaker F: That sounds like they're trying to disease us. [00:54:15] Speaker C: Okay, sure. So she'll yank something up her bandolier, give it a little different shake. Instead of the up, down and side to side, it turns like a purpley reddish color. [00:54:24] Speaker A: She just say ah? Okay, you feed the potion then. [00:54:31] Speaker F: Tastes like spearmint. [00:54:32] Speaker D: Mind watcher. Did you stand up or are you. [00:54:34] Speaker A: Still no, he stood up. [00:54:35] Speaker F: I stood up. [00:54:35] Speaker A: Okay, remove, pour, remove. Make poor. Make poor. Okay, so how much does he heal? [00:54:41] Speaker C: One d six. [00:54:42] Speaker F: Thank you so much. [00:54:44] Speaker C: So you heal two, but you have the plus one against disease and poison. [00:54:48] Speaker F: Is my face supposed to be numb? [00:54:50] Speaker C: Only for a little while. It should go away. [00:54:52] Speaker B: It's the blood and the blood magic. [00:54:54] Speaker A: All right, so now we're going back to the top of the initiative to Temid. [00:54:58] Speaker B: All right? So at this point, Temid's done playing, he's ready to go. So he puts his rapier up in the air and he says a prayer and he casts magic weapon. So, two actions. So now he has a magic rapier. [00:55:11] Speaker C: Nice. [00:55:11] Speaker A: And it's still emblazoned, right? [00:55:14] Speaker B: Emblazoned, yes, it is still emblazoned. And then he's just going to take a strike with all of his might. He's going to take one strike. And I'm delaying because I'm very nervous, because I really want this to hit, because I want to do well. And I rolled a fucking three and I don't want to play anymore. [00:55:30] Speaker A: What's your total? [00:55:31] Speaker B: Not a critical fail. It's eleven. [00:55:32] Speaker A: You're right, it's not a critical fail. You have one more action. [00:55:37] Speaker B: No, two actions for the magic weapon strike. [00:55:40] Speaker A: Oh, Twin Talon, let's see if you can do better than ten minutes. [00:55:43] Speaker D: Well, Twin Talon is hanging on by a threat lifewise, but his friends are in danger from undead Hell Knights. So he's just going to hope that Pond Watcher is a bigger target. So he will step up to 10ft that he got knocked back. [00:55:53] Speaker A: All right, you're stepped up to the streets. [00:55:55] Speaker F: Yes. [00:55:56] Speaker D: He'll say, you can't get rid of me that easy. He'll swing one sword and then the other one is my first one is a critical fail, which knocks my arm off. Okay, so the first one is you're not singing. Correct, Silver. [00:56:06] Speaker E: I am not. [00:56:07] Speaker D: So that is 24 versus his flat footed AC. [00:56:12] Speaker A: Critical draw. That Crit. Card piercing. [00:56:16] Speaker F: Yes, forearm piercing. [00:56:18] Speaker D: The target drops one weapon. [00:56:20] Speaker F: It's holding, chosen randomly by the GM. [00:56:22] Speaker A: So I'm going to say you sever a hand. [00:56:23] Speaker C: Nice. [00:56:23] Speaker B: Okay, nice. [00:56:24] Speaker C: I'm good with that. [00:56:25] Speaker A: Yeah. All right, so double damage. All right. [00:56:27] Speaker D: Not too shabby. So 22 damage. [00:56:30] Speaker A: Whoa. [00:56:32] Speaker F: Chance. [00:56:32] Speaker D: Crit sneak. Second one, that's quite low. Nine plus four is 13. [00:56:40] Speaker E: Miss. [00:56:42] Speaker F: Well struck. [00:56:43] Speaker A: Yes, miss. All right, the white in front of is that soraya there no I'm sorry. Brianna. [00:56:50] Speaker D: Brianna. [00:56:50] Speaker A: Yeah? Brianna. Brianna. How does a 17 do you miss? How about a 23 for eleven damage? I'm sorry? Nine damage. [00:57:02] Speaker C: Okay. [00:57:03] Speaker A: And give me a fortitude. Safe. [00:57:05] Speaker C: Nervous every time. [00:57:06] Speaker D: Nobody's failed it yet. [00:57:07] Speaker A: Yes. [00:57:08] Speaker D: Someone's failed it twice. [00:57:09] Speaker C: Yes. That's the drainy. Drain. [00:57:10] Speaker F: I'm smart. [00:57:11] Speaker D: No, 122. [00:57:12] Speaker A: You're good. What's your AC, by the way? [00:57:15] Speaker C: 22. [00:57:15] Speaker A: 22. [00:57:16] Speaker D: You can bring your shield. [00:57:17] Speaker C: 21 then. [00:57:18] Speaker A: Okay, so a five is ten less than your AC, right? Yeah. [00:57:24] Speaker C: What does he do this time? [00:57:25] Speaker D: So it's a critical fail, not the weak point. You take one d six persistent bleed damage and can't use this attack until the end of your next turn. [00:57:37] Speaker C: There we go. [00:57:38] Speaker B: I like that. [00:57:39] Speaker C: That's something real nice for us. [00:57:40] Speaker F: We needed that. [00:57:41] Speaker E: Still one that hasn't done anything. [00:57:42] Speaker D: Got smacked in the face by his friend. [00:57:44] Speaker A: All right, so he's taking six persistent bleeds. [00:57:47] Speaker F: Wow. [00:57:48] Speaker B: You rolled a six on that? Yeah. Nice. [00:57:50] Speaker E: I think we just went into the. [00:57:51] Speaker D: Boss room, which is hilarious. [00:57:53] Speaker F: We just opened the door and walked right in. [00:57:55] Speaker D: That's the one to do it. Not when you're all beat up from the whole dungeon like, Silver, you're up. [00:57:59] Speaker E: Silver's, up. Okay, so Silver is going to bardic inspiration. [00:58:06] Speaker A: Do I have any items of note here? [00:58:12] Speaker E: Well, no, actually, I have one healing potion. I don't think I could administer it to anybody at the moment. So I'm going to do bardic inspiration, and then I'm going to see if I can remember anything about them. Helpful, because I think I can see this one. [00:58:29] Speaker C: If I'm, like, here, that's me you're next to, and I'm at four hit points. If you do it when I give me that healing potion. [00:58:35] Speaker D: Oh, okay. But it's three actions to give, basically, next time the next time he's got a soothe left. [00:58:44] Speaker C: I can heal myself too. [00:58:46] Speaker E: I used all of my okay, so recall knowledge. [00:58:51] Speaker A: Okay. [00:58:52] Speaker E: 22. [00:58:52] Speaker A: 22 to recall knowledge. [00:58:54] Speaker E: Yeah, it's Bardic Lore. [00:58:56] Speaker A: You get three questions, okay? And you can think about those three questions for a week. [00:59:04] Speaker C: No, don't you dare. [00:59:07] Speaker B: I hate you. [00:59:08] Speaker E: Oh, gosh. [00:59:10] Speaker A: Will our heroes be able to defeat the whites? What will silvish three questions be? Will our heroes ever fight?
