That's over 49 hours worth of content that we've given you, and we really hope you've been enjoying it. I know I've been enjoying running this game and having the players learn things and see where they've gone and what twists and turns they've thrown at me. Now this episode is going to get crazy. I can't tell you how insane this episode is. Everything changes. That's not an exaggeration this time. Everything changes in this episode. From this episode forward. [00:02:41] Speaker C: I mean, for these characters. Anyway. [00:02:43] Speaker D: Yeah, we're gonna have a rescue mission. [00:02:47] Speaker B: I gotta figure out how to bring new characters in when I tpk you all. [00:02:52] Speaker D: So it's a rescue mission for the rescue mission. [00:02:55] Speaker B: Oh, boy. [00:02:56] Speaker C: We can all be a kuja elves. And just wondering what happened to those nice folks that came by. [00:03:02] Speaker B: That actually wouldn't be a bad thing. [00:03:04] Speaker E: Maybe just like a bunch of leshies. [00:03:07] Speaker F: Oh, boy, I'd totally be okay with this. [00:03:10] Speaker B: Well, now that kobolds are playable, you guys, two of you can be Zarf and Pib. [00:03:17] Speaker D: Yes. [00:03:18] Speaker B: Dibs, they were. [00:03:33] Speaker D: Well, all things considered, I might bring in my dom pier lushie. [00:03:36] Speaker F: So Sean asked me to justify it. [00:03:40] Speaker D: And I said I was hit with a blight. [00:03:43] Speaker B: I was gonna say, are you like a Venus flytrap, but you can only eat other lushies. [00:03:49] Speaker D: Like, I'm just funicular, but I'm a lushy. [00:03:52] Speaker B: Alright. [00:03:53] Speaker C: Previously on the Cracked Die podcast. [00:03:56] Speaker H: Our heroes finished dealing with the Pendergast brothers after sending one down the river and one to search for his brother. Our heroes decided to explore the ruins and find out why they were trying to destroy it. Finding information about the indigenous people that lived here, our heroes managed to discredit Gerhard. After a long day, our heroes decided to camp in the ruins. Watches seem to be going fine until silver was approached by some figures. What will happen to Silver? Will the rest of the party know about it? Find out the answers to these questions and more on this episode of the Cracked Die podcast. [00:04:40] Speaker B: So just to make sure that I'm on the same page with everyone, I have the watches and surprise attacks section pulled up already. [00:04:52] Speaker G: Sounds like what happened here. [00:04:53] Speaker F: How does that work? Do you want to? [00:04:56] Speaker B: If a surprise encounter would occur during rest, you can roll a die to randomly determine which character is on watch at the time. We already know that all characters roll initiative sleeping for being unconscious. They don't automatically wake up when rolling initiative, but they might roll a perception check to wake up at the start of their turn due to noise. If a savvy enemy waits for a particularly vulnerable character to take watch before attacking, the attack can happen on that character's watch automatically. However, you might have the ambusher attempt a stealth check against the perception DC's of all the characters to see if anyone notices its approach. So we're all gonna roll initiative. Very exciting. [00:05:41] Speaker F: I rolled prematurely. [00:05:44] Speaker B: Happens to you, I understand. [00:05:48] Speaker E: Oh, baby. [00:05:49] Speaker F: Well done. [00:05:51] Speaker B: Whoo. Pond watcher with a 30. [00:05:54] Speaker E: 30? [00:05:54] Speaker F: Heck yeah. [00:05:55] Speaker B: It's a shame you're asleep, but you know. Well, it's okay. [00:06:01] Speaker C: You know, I rolled a four. I got a 17. [00:06:04] Speaker G: I rolled a natural two. [00:06:06] Speaker B: All right, so twin Talon has a 17 like you just said. [00:06:11] Speaker D: I don't know why it rolled mine twice, but I have a 25. [00:06:14] Speaker B: Silver rolled a 14 perception. And temid, you rolled a 16 perception. I just want to point out, even though you rolled a two, you have a better perception bonus. And silver dust. Oh, goodness. [00:06:29] Speaker C: Better initiative too. [00:06:30] Speaker B: Yeah. And then let me roll for these lovely, lovely folk. [00:06:38] Speaker G: I disagree there. [00:06:39] Speaker E: I don't believe that. [00:06:40] Speaker D: Lovely. [00:06:41] Speaker B: Yeah, you don't know about them. [00:06:44] Speaker C: We don't know their life yet. [00:06:46] Speaker B: Yeah, you don't know their life story, their unlife. Pond watcher, you're going to go first. Great. Pond watcher, your first. [00:06:55] Speaker E: I'm sleeping. [00:06:56] Speaker B: Give me a perception versus their stealth DC, which I have stealth DC. So give me a perception for your first action. [00:07:07] Speaker E: Okay. 29. [00:07:09] Speaker C: Nice. [00:07:10] Speaker B: So you hear rustling from the trees that isn't normal. So that wakes you up. [00:07:18] Speaker E: Hello. He jumps up, looks around, you see silver, I guess kind of just like, fiddling with something and. Yeah, I don't know. Does he see any people? [00:07:34] Speaker B: With the 29, you definitely see some shadows playing to your right. And you also hear rustling from the bushes in front of you. [00:07:46] Speaker E: Okay, so he stood up and now he's just gonna say, silver, what is that? Do you hear something, everyone? [00:07:53] Speaker B: Well, I think there's some people here and they don't look too friendly. [00:08:01] Speaker E: Okay, so he's right next to Saraya intended. He's just gonna kick them. [00:08:05] Speaker B: Okay. Hey. [00:08:09] Speaker E: And then he's just gonna yell, hey, you. Who's that? [00:08:12] Speaker B: Look at you in the bush. [00:08:14] Speaker E: And that's probably all you can do. Really? [00:08:16] Speaker B: Yeah. So after that, the one that is kind of perched up on the wall jumps down and attempts to. Oh, there's so many options right now. Attempts to claw at silver. The creature rolls 18 total. Silver has a 21 ac. So the first claw misses and goes for a second claw, which is less so. Misses. Silver kind of like drops something out of his hands and bends down as the creature swings two claws at him. Saraya. [00:09:02] Speaker F: Perfect. [00:09:03] Speaker B: I feel like. I feel like silver is like a drunken master. Like he accidentally dodges out of the way of things all the time. Serea, you've just been kicked. So go ahead and make your perception check with a plus two to wake up. [00:09:23] Speaker D: That's a 22 to wake up. [00:09:25] Speaker B: You're good. [00:09:26] Speaker D: All right. [00:09:27] Speaker B: Ow. [00:09:28] Speaker D: What? What is going on? And I guess you'll notice the commotion. [00:09:33] Speaker B: It's an ambush. [00:09:35] Speaker D: No. Our darling GM. Here's a question for you. I don't think I have any of my alchemical resources, do I? Because I haven't made daily preparations. [00:09:44] Speaker B: Correct. [00:09:45] Speaker D: Shit. Um, I guess I'm gonna do something I've actually never really done before. And all I can really do is I have. I have my cantrips, so I'm going to use. I'm not even actually going to get up because I don't have to, but I'm going to use telekinetic projectile. [00:10:07] Speaker B: Okay. [00:10:08] Speaker D: And just wing things at them. [00:10:11] Speaker B: Okay. You actually don't see anyone from that side in the bushes, so you could attempt to seek action to try and find what's rustling, or you can get up and move and go help silver. [00:10:29] Speaker D: Um, how tall the walls, I assume are like 10ft tall or something? [00:10:33] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. [00:10:34] Speaker D: Okay, so I get getting up is an action, I assume? [00:10:38] Speaker B: Yes. [00:10:42] Speaker D: Can I see through here? Can I, like, see this guy through. [00:10:44] Speaker B: This, uh, yes, you can see them. They are short. They are, I would say, size category small. Okay, interesting. They look humanoid. [00:10:58] Speaker D: Um, so, sadly, I believe it's a two action cantrip. [00:11:01] Speaker C: We've already taken three actions. [00:11:03] Speaker D: Wake up and moved. [00:11:04] Speaker B: Got up and moved. You woke up. [00:11:07] Speaker C: Stand up. [00:11:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:11:09] Speaker D: All right, so I get. I will say, start prepping for my next turn. [00:11:12] Speaker B: Yes. She gets to her feet and figure out what's going on around her from out of almost nowhere. [00:11:20] Speaker C: Another one. [00:11:22] Speaker B: See another one pop up from behind you, Saraya. And it decides to swing at you. Swing. [00:11:31] Speaker D: Lovely. [00:11:32] Speaker B: 24 versus your ac. That will hit. All right. I wasn't expecting. Expecting that. [00:11:38] Speaker D: 24. I'm not like a tanky character. [00:11:42] Speaker C: Even our tanky characters in their armor, I think 24 would hit at this point. [00:11:45] Speaker B: So you take 13 points of slashing damage and you are grabbed. [00:11:52] Speaker D: Oh, shit. [00:11:53] Speaker B: Okay. Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot one other thing. Take another five points of damage. What kind slashing? [00:12:00] Speaker C: Is it from a different source, or is it just that his effect should have done? [00:12:04] Speaker B: Or no sneak attack because you didn't know they were there? I have poison resistance. I just wanted to make sure. No, that's fair. That's fair. What is your fortitude? DC. So that's your fortitude modifier. Plus ten. [00:12:19] Speaker D: I'm just making sure everything. So I'm an expert in fortitude. So here. Lab says plus 14. [00:12:25] Speaker B: So is that correct or 14 plus ten? So 24. [00:12:29] Speaker D: 24. [00:12:30] Speaker B: Okay, so this thing, since you're grabbed by it, it starts to try. It brings its mouth towards your neck, but you manage to squirm out of the way as it tries to bite. [00:12:44] Speaker C: You gotta ask for consent. Can't just go in for. [00:12:49] Speaker D: Christine is all about this. I don't know if Sarah is or not. [00:12:54] Speaker B: Yeah, yep, yep. 510 15 2025. Yeah. 25 and then 510 15. And then it takes a swing. Swing at silver. Another one appears and starts to swing at silver, who is now flanked. [00:13:14] Speaker C: Wild Empire appears. [00:13:16] Speaker B: This time it does hit silver hits silver for 13 points of damage. And he is grabbed by the one behind him. [00:13:32] Speaker F: Oh, no, he's not. Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. [00:13:34] Speaker B: Are you awake? You're asleep. [00:13:37] Speaker F: No, and it's too far anyway. Okay, you can only do 15ft. [00:13:42] Speaker B: You're asleep. [00:13:43] Speaker G: No, she got kicked. [00:13:45] Speaker B: I'm gonna put the little hand symbol on here that says you're grabbed. Or Kalima. I'm not quite sure which one it is. [00:13:57] Speaker C: I don't know. His heart. [00:13:58] Speaker F: Oh, planet. I don't know what's happening. [00:14:02] Speaker B: And since everyone's asleep, here. Except for pawn watcher there. All right, so that's two movements and an attack at pond watcher. [00:14:11] Speaker E: Bring it on, baby. [00:14:12] Speaker B: 27 versus your ac. [00:14:14] Speaker E: Yeah, that'll hit. [00:14:16] Speaker B: All right. I don't think it gets the sneak attack on you. [00:14:20] Speaker E: That is correct. It does not get sneak attack. [00:14:22] Speaker B: Eight points of slashing damage as a claw digs into your flesh. Not. [00:14:27] Speaker F: Okay. [00:14:28] Speaker E: Ow. [00:14:29] Speaker F: Briena, I want to wake up. [00:14:33] Speaker B: You're in commotion perception. [00:14:35] Speaker F: Perception 27. [00:14:39] Speaker B: Yes. So. So between the jambalaya filled mouth of silver, Saraya moving around and pond watcher getting scratched by this creature, you wake up. [00:14:55] Speaker F: What is happening? [00:14:55] Speaker B: Remember, you are not wearing. You're not wearing your armor. Cause you are asleep. [00:14:59] Speaker F: As long as I'm not naked. Like that one time, she notices that her dear friend is in trouble over here. So she's gonna step forward and take a wing. She's going to raise her scimitar move or pick up her scimitar movement. [00:15:23] Speaker B: Swing. [00:15:23] Speaker F: Is that possible? [00:15:24] Speaker B: No, you can't swing this turn, but you can move up there. [00:15:27] Speaker F: Oh, because I have to get up first. My bad. Okay, I'll move. [00:15:29] Speaker B: Wait. [00:15:30] Speaker C: Well, even doing the perception just to wake up is an action, right? So wake up and then standing up is an action. And picking up the sword is an action. Okay, so getting ambush when you're sleeping sucks. [00:15:41] Speaker F: I mean, it makes sense. [00:15:42] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Absolutely. [00:15:44] Speaker F: All right, well, I'll be ready to move for next time. [00:15:47] Speaker B: All right, so from the trees here, you see a single bat, a flavor bat, if you will, flap to the ground. [00:15:57] Speaker G: What flavor is the bat? [00:15:59] Speaker C: Blood butt flavored. What? [00:16:01] Speaker B: What? And it flies and lands here and then goes 510 15. 2025. Towards Briena. And then swings its claw at you for a 16. [00:16:20] Speaker F: Remind me, how many points do I not have? Now, wearing armor, just. [00:16:27] Speaker E: You can just unequip your armor. That's the easiest way. [00:16:30] Speaker F: On hero lab. [00:16:32] Speaker B: I think you're down six. [00:16:35] Speaker C: Well, maybe, but think is like, you're. You're. [00:16:39] Speaker E: So. [00:16:39] Speaker C: My ac naked is 22, but my dex is very high. [00:16:45] Speaker B: All right. And now the second claw at you for 15. Even less. Yep, yep, yep. Twin talon perception piece. [00:16:56] Speaker C: All right. 1313. [00:17:00] Speaker B: So that doesn't even beat their stealth. [00:17:03] Speaker C: So I would argue that pond watcher is yelling. [00:17:06] Speaker B: And that's true. [00:17:07] Speaker C: I should be rolling. [00:17:08] Speaker B: Yeah, you might say 13 is not. [00:17:10] Speaker C: Enough, but I think that's what we should. [00:17:12] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. Well, I'll give you a point plus. Well, a plus two to that, because that's what I'm giving with the noise and everything. I'll still say a 15 is not enough to wake up. So you kind of just, like, hear it, and you're like, uh. And you pull the pillow over your head a little bit more and roll away. You can attempt again if you'd like. [00:17:35] Speaker C: Can I? Okay. Yeah, I guess I'll keep doing that. [00:17:39] Speaker B: Yeah. There you go. So finally, the clattering and the noise is too much for you, and you wake up and you see a creature right next to you. [00:17:49] Speaker C: So Twigtalon is going to use quick draw to quick draw his short sword out of a sheath and swipe at the creature's ankles. [00:18:00] Speaker B: Okay. [00:18:01] Speaker C: I do get a negative two because I am prone, but to. That's what now we do the first time. 21, actually. It cancels out. So they're flat footed to me, but I get a negative two. So it's 21. [00:18:16] Speaker B: 21, you hit their ankles. [00:18:20] Speaker C: Okay, so that's nine regular plus, I mean, are they, can they be snuck attack? [00:18:26] Speaker B: Yes. [00:18:26] Speaker C: Sneak attack. So it's seven additional sneak attack damage. So 16 total. [00:18:32] Speaker B: Great. So 16 damage. And you hear this. This one looks medium sized, by the way they hiss as you slice into their leg. Temid. [00:18:48] Speaker E: Sean, can I. Can I interject for a second? [00:18:51] Speaker B: Yes. [00:18:52] Speaker E: I think I misspoke in that I can be hit with sneak attack. I just. I'm not flat footed in sneak attack, so I should take that extra damage. [00:19:00] Speaker C: Well, flat foot is typically what gives them sneak attack. [00:19:03] Speaker B: Yes. [00:19:04] Speaker E: Really? [00:19:05] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [00:19:06] Speaker C: So people are flat footed to me when I flank them, or people are flat footed when you flank them, which. And then if they're a rogue, if it's the same ability you get sneak attack when someone's flat footed to you. So if you never become flat footed, then sneak attack wouldn't change. [00:19:21] Speaker E: Awesome. [00:19:21] Speaker D: Cool. [00:19:22] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. No problem. Tenet. [00:19:25] Speaker G: All right, so rolls an 18 total perception to see if he can wake up or so that I can see if he can wake up with your. [00:19:33] Speaker B: Plus two from everyone yelling and hissing and all that. That is a 20. So you wake up. [00:19:38] Speaker G: All right. So he wakes up and he immediately sees in front of him this weird looking humanoid creature trying to either make out with or bite twin Talon. Either way, he's upset. [00:19:55] Speaker B: He's jealous. [00:19:56] Speaker G: Super jealous. I don't know if that's how you say it, but whatever. Okay, so he's gonna, with his other two actions without getting up, he's going to cast searing light against this creature. Do you know if it's a fiend or undead? [00:20:18] Speaker C: Certainly seems undead. [00:20:20] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:21] Speaker G: But I don't want to make any assumptions? [00:20:22] Speaker B: Let's say it is. Let's just, for funsies, say it is. [00:20:28] Speaker G: So let me just make sure I get this right. It's gonna be a d 20, plus twelve. [00:20:34] Speaker B: Ah. [00:20:36] Speaker C: Is this your attack roll? [00:20:38] Speaker G: This is my attack roll. [00:20:39] Speaker C: So it's minus two from being prone. [00:20:41] Speaker G: Wait, even though it's a spell prone. [00:20:44] Speaker C: Just literally says minus two to all attacks. [00:20:49] Speaker G: To all attack. Okay. Damn it. [00:20:51] Speaker B: So a twelve versus their ac. [00:20:54] Speaker G: Yeah, that's not gonna do anything. [00:20:56] Speaker B: Searing light shines and goes towards them, and it kind of, like, fades as it gets closer and closer, as if the darkness swallows it. [00:21:06] Speaker G: I like to think of it as he just kind of, like, is still bleary eyed, and he just shoots it off into the distance like a signal player. [00:21:15] Speaker D: Just straight. Straight up, like a warning shot. [00:21:19] Speaker B: Gondor. Coles, frayed. [00:21:21] Speaker G: I don't have any. He's like, I don't have any more of these, but just so you know, I could do that tomorrow. If you wait tomorrow 24 hours, I. [00:21:32] Speaker B: Could do that again. [00:21:35] Speaker G: All right, that's. That's my turn. [00:21:37] Speaker B: I swear, this never happens. Okay, so, dice, I just want you. [00:21:43] Speaker G: Guys to know, I hate dice. [00:21:44] Speaker B: I hate them so much. [00:21:45] Speaker D: Uh huh. [00:21:46] Speaker B: 2025. [00:21:48] Speaker C: So, just so listeners aren't keeping track here, there are six of them. [00:21:51] Speaker B: Yep. Yes. [00:21:52] Speaker D: Silver and twin challenge are both flanked. [00:21:55] Speaker C: Well, luckily, flanking doesn't do anything. Flanked? [00:21:57] Speaker F: Well, that's. [00:21:58] Speaker C: I am immune to magnified. [00:22:00] Speaker B: But you are on the ground. [00:22:02] Speaker C: Doesn't matter. [00:22:02] Speaker B: Doesn't do anything either. [00:22:03] Speaker C: Well, being prone messes with my AC, I'm pretty sure. [00:22:08] Speaker B: Does it? It's double checked. Oh. [00:22:10] Speaker D: You know, not to rewind here, but, Anwar, you've got a hero point, don't you? [00:22:17] Speaker G: No, I used him. [00:22:19] Speaker B: He used all of his hero points. [00:22:20] Speaker G: But don't I get one every session? [00:22:23] Speaker B: No. Yes. [00:22:25] Speaker G: I'm not gonna go back. I'm not gonna go back and redo it. [00:22:27] Speaker B: Moments downplay. [00:22:29] Speaker C: Okay, so it doesn't mess with your ac specifically. It just gives you the flat footed condition. But I'm pretty sure I can't be caught flat footed, so let me just double check with that ability. Deny advantage. As someone who takes advantage of others defenses, you are careful not to leave such openings for yourself. You aren't flat footed to hidden, undetected, or flying flanking creatures of your level or lower. Or creatures of your level or lower using surprise attack. However, they can still help their allies flank, so it doesn't make me immune to being flat footed from being prone. [00:22:59] Speaker B: Okay, so you. You take the minus. So you're flat footed, which means take a negative two. Negative two. [00:23:05] Speaker C: And because I'm flat footed, they can sneak attack me. [00:23:08] Speaker B: So 26 hit you. [00:23:10] Speaker C: Yes. [00:23:11] Speaker B: Okay, so the 26 hits you as you are slashed across the face. No. The moneymaker for 14 points of slashing damage. And you are now the ravages joke. [00:23:23] Speaker F: No, he's not. Oh, he's not grabbed. [00:23:25] Speaker D: Oh, she's close enough for him. [00:23:27] Speaker C: Yeah, and she's awake. [00:23:30] Speaker B: More importantly, she's conscious, so negated plus. [00:23:35] Speaker F: Oh, wait, hang on, hang on. I have a shining o, which gives us extra fun things against undead. [00:23:42] Speaker C: Sweet. [00:23:43] Speaker F: If you use your liberating step, triggered by an undead, your ally gains a plus four circumstance. Bonus checks wrench by your liberating step. And the ally can step twice afterwards. [00:23:55] Speaker B: Does that mean you can crawl twice as well? [00:23:58] Speaker C: I guess the step action. I don't know what that means, but it does mean that if I'm grabbed, her liberating step, not only does it reduce my. What is it? By your level or level plus something? [00:24:10] Speaker D: Great question. [00:24:11] Speaker C: We haven't used this in a while. Surprisingly. [00:24:15] Speaker B: Two plus your level. [00:24:17] Speaker F: You free an ally from restraint, but. [00:24:20] Speaker C: It gives me damage reduction to the attack. Two plus your level, which. [00:24:24] Speaker F: Yes. [00:24:25] Speaker C: And how much damage did it do? [00:24:27] Speaker B: 714. [00:24:29] Speaker C: Okay, so that takes six damage, which is way better. And I get a free recheck to un grab a five plus four plus four. [00:24:39] Speaker B: Yep, take it. [00:24:41] Speaker C: So does a 35 get me out? [00:24:43] Speaker B: Yes. Yes, it does. [00:24:44] Speaker C: Fuck off, vampires. [00:24:46] Speaker B: All right, and now you may step twice. [00:24:48] Speaker E: So I cannot step. [00:50:56] Speaker G: Okay, so if you fail, the creature takes full damage and is deafened for a single round. Okay, if on a critical failure, which one of them does double damage, deafened for 1 minute and stunned one. [00:51:10] Speaker B: Nice. Okay, so the one that has the big x on it is stunned. Everyone else is deafened except for the one that passed. Right. [00:51:18] Speaker G: And so one of them takes eight damage, the other one take four damage, except for the one of them that doesn't take any damage. [00:51:24] Speaker B: And what does? Stun. [00:51:25] Speaker G: Oh, I'm sorry. It takes half damage. So the one that succeeded takes two damage. [00:51:30] Speaker C: So stunned, you lose that many actions. [00:51:33] Speaker B: So next up is the one that is stunned. So stunned one means he only gets two actions, runs away. Pond watcher. [00:51:42] Speaker C: I miss. Attacks. Opportunity. [00:51:44] Speaker E: Seriously. So on watcher, he has this sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, hearing his friend on the other side of the wall getting fucked up, basically, and everyone's screaming. He can't see what's going on. And timid, just kills the creature holding him. And how high is this little broken down parapet? [00:52:09] Speaker B: 10Ft tall. [00:52:10] Speaker E: So he's just gonna. He's raging. So the ice is flowing all around him. He's just gonna run straight up the wall. [00:52:18] Speaker C: I feel like it's weird that he has ice and he doesn't slip. Like, he gets more traction. [00:52:22] Speaker E: He has, like, little icy claws. Yeah. So he. He has a climb speed that's equal to his normal speed. So I'm just gonna go straight up to here. All right. So he runs up to the top of the wall and looks down to where he thought silver was. Just sees nothing, right? [00:52:39] Speaker B: Yeah, there's nothing. There's a bunch of creatures standing. [00:52:42] Speaker E: All right, so he's gonna do a seek action to see if he can see where they went, if they took him. Because he doesn't see his body. He can see his blood on the ground. Right? [00:52:51] Speaker B: Right. Yeah. Make a seek. [00:52:53] Speaker E: So that's perception. [00:52:56] Speaker B: Yes. [00:52:57] Speaker E: 30. [00:52:57] Speaker B: Natural. [00:52:58] Speaker E: 20. [00:52:58] Speaker B: Okay. You see the perceptions. You see a blood trail leading off to the west. [00:53:11] Speaker E: Okay, this is. This is not good. He is going to. [00:53:17] Speaker B: Oh, that's. [00:53:17] Speaker E: Shouldn't have taken that seat. [00:53:19] Speaker B: Catch. Damn it. [00:53:25] Speaker E: Hmm. [00:53:27] Speaker C: Reach. [00:53:28] Speaker E: He's gonna. He's gonna just, like, do his. His dragon's breath into the group of vampires below it. So that's a 30 foot cone. So I believe that will hit all the ones in front of him there, right? Yeah. [00:53:43] Speaker B: Yes. [00:53:46] Speaker G: Holy crap. [00:53:47] Speaker B: I just realized how nuts a 34 cone is. [00:53:52] Speaker E: 24 cold damage. [00:53:53] Speaker B: 24 cold damage. But they get a reflex. Save for half, I'm assuming. [00:53:57] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:53:58] Speaker B: Here we go. Starting with the one in front. 30. So he succeeds. Then a 20 fails. Succeeds, and the big one critically failed. Yes. Yeah. The big un takes 48 damage. Right. [00:54:24] Speaker F: Nice. [00:54:26] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:54:27] Speaker F: Nice. [00:54:28] Speaker G: Don't mind pond. [00:54:29] Speaker B: Watch. [00:54:29] Speaker G: We're only doing six times the amount of damage that I did. [00:54:35] Speaker D: Everything counts, actually. [00:54:36] Speaker G: I'm sorry. You know, you have that like, you freezing it hit it and you shatter. [00:55:12] Speaker B: Yeah, so I pictured like. Like it freezes and then the wind blows and it's like thanos snapped. Oh, no, just dust. [00:55:24] Speaker D: It's snowing. [00:55:25] Speaker B: Yes. Okay. This one that's got real hurt from that breath. You see. Some of the frost melt away and runs away. [00:55:40] Speaker F: Fuck's sake. [00:55:41] Speaker B: Saraya, you're up. You're still grappled. [00:55:44] Speaker D: Agent's now grappled. So I am going to just make a fire bomb. [00:55:50] Speaker B: Make a D 65 flat. Check. [00:55:52] Speaker D: Alrighty, it's just a D 20, nothing else. [00:55:55] Speaker B: D 20, that's it. [00:55:56] Speaker D: Alrighty. You're kidding. [00:56:00] Speaker B: You don't. [00:56:01] Speaker D: All right, she's gonna try again. [00:56:04] Speaker F: That was a natural one, by the way, listeners. [00:56:06] Speaker B: Yes. [00:56:06] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, yeah, sorry. That one. All I had to do is roll a six. That one. [00:56:12] Speaker B: There we go. So you missed. So it takes you a second, but then you manage to make it. [00:56:17] Speaker D: She catches what. Jasper drops it, starts to shake her fist a little, kind of like sparks. She looks at it, does it again. It to life. [00:56:25] Speaker F: Nice. [00:56:28] Speaker D: And, uh, she's gonna basically, she's not even gonna throw it. She's just kind of gonna like shove this alchemy misfire into this guy's chest. [00:56:36] Speaker F: Oh, shit. [00:56:37] Speaker B: 16 will miss. [00:56:39] Speaker D: God damn it. I'm like. He's right there. Like, I'm not throwing it. She's literally just going in and it misses. I don't understand. So the guy, however, does it get splash? [00:56:53] Speaker B: Yes. Takes one splash. [00:56:55] Speaker D: No, two. It's a moderate. [00:56:57] Speaker B: Oh, two. Splash. Okay, so on its turn, you see the damage heal up. It lets go of you for one action. [00:57:06] Speaker C: Dropping. Thanks for. [00:57:08] Speaker B: Oh, dropping is free. Oh, it drops you for free and then runs away. [00:57:13] Speaker D: Cowards. [00:57:15] Speaker B: Run away. And run away. The sound of fighting is over as everything is eerily quiet again. There is a blood trail leading off to the west, with the soft flickering. [00:57:29] Speaker A: Of the campfire illuminating the area. Silver is nowhere to be seen. [00:57:35] Speaker C: Can. Can we give chase? [00:57:37] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. [00:57:38] Speaker G: So. So temid runs to where he was and does a survival check. [00:57:46] Speaker B: Okay, cool. So this is what I want you to do. [00:57:48] Speaker A: I want you to look at how to track. [00:57:51] Speaker B: Okay. And I believe it's a survival check, right? [00:57:54] Speaker G: Yep. [00:57:54] Speaker B: Great. Now to roll that. You're gonna roll the d 20 plus your survival modifier next week. [00:58:02] Speaker C: Yeah, that's a good one. [00:58:04] Speaker F: Stop. Why are you like this?
