[00:00:39] Speaker A: Welcome to the 88th episode of the Cracked Die podcast. [00:00:45] Speaker B: Twelve to 100. [00:00:46] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:00:49] Speaker A: Not doing anything special for 100, but 101, be prepared. [00:00:54] Speaker B: Well, there'll be Dalmatians. [00:00:57] Speaker D: We're gonna screen cruella, actually. [00:01:01] Speaker B: Just do a reaction video. [00:01:02] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, we're just gonna. [00:01:04] Speaker D: It's gonna be us riff tracks and Cruella. [00:01:07] Speaker B: I'm just curious, what characters are gonna make it to 100? What will we be playing in twelve episodes? [00:01:13] Speaker D: That's. [00:01:14] Speaker A: Yeah, you'll probably still be in this map because I've seen how we all play. [00:01:19] Speaker B: This isn't like the Twitch show, Sean. You're not gonna get harsh. [00:01:23] Speaker D: Harsh but fair. [00:01:24] Speaker B: Not gonna get stuck in a zoo for 12 hours. [00:01:27] Speaker A: It was a terrifying zoo. Let's be honest. [00:01:29] Speaker B: It was. It was pretty, pretty horrifying. Sutter cursing out James Sutter because he's the person who does the other adventure path. I don't know who does this one, but we're not dead yet, so I assume it's not James Sutter. [00:01:44] Speaker A: This book, book three, is by Ron Lundin and Stephanie Lundin. [00:01:52] Speaker B: All right. [00:01:53] Speaker D: Hi, Lundines. [00:01:54] Speaker B: Hello. [00:01:55] Speaker A: All right, so when we last left, you were all dealing with a nightmare and also a horse on fire. Boom, boom, boom. Roasted just like twin Talon will be. Anyway, so you guys discovered this room with a nightmare and a hag, and you guys started to fight them. And knife sword did his due diligence and cast gravity. [00:02:27] Speaker B: Well, as you do. [00:02:29] Speaker A: As you do. However, it did cause a little bit of a snafu for me because he got my nightmare stuck in a wall hallway in a small passageway. Brianna has taken some damage. Twin Talon has moved up to the nightmare. And I, like the magnanimous GM that I am, ended it right before Christine could throw her dagger. However, between last game and this game, we did some looking. A dagger only has a range of 10ft, so this would put Saraya two range increments outside of the hag or the nightmare, which would be a minus four. However, she only used one action to move. [00:03:25] Speaker D: Yup. And I'm immune to the smoke for a minute because I saved last time. So I'm going to use my second action to move up closer. [00:03:33] Speaker A: Okay. And because I am so magnanimous, I will let you roll over that nine that you rolled through the concealment. I appreciate that everyone also got a hero point, except knife sword. Well, knife Sword also got a hero point, but he now has two hero points because as of last session, I've decided that any hero points awarded will roll over. [00:03:59] Speaker C: Sounds great. [00:04:00] Speaker B: Yeah. Speaking of hero points, I'm a little upset at myself because last episode, I wasn't paying attention to the clock, and I saved it thinking I was gonna have another turn, but. Yeah. And the episode ended, so that's on me. It's all I'm saying. [00:04:14] Speaker A: Just always assume that when it's Christine's turn, the episode will end. [00:04:17] Speaker B: Okay, that's. [00:04:19] Speaker C: Yep. [00:04:20] Speaker D: I was literally waiting when you were like, all right, it's your turn. I was quiet because I was waiting for you to be like, and we'll pick it up next week. But then Tishani had to move anyway, so it was all good. [00:04:28] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. You would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that meddling pterodactyl. Meddling pterodactyl. All right, so Saraya moves up another 10ft. So now both the nightmare and the hag are within your range increment. You may fire when ready. [00:04:51] Speaker D: I have no such qualms about attacking a horse that's stuck somewhere, because if it goes down, so does it. Smokey shield. Okay, I'm gonna throw my cold iron dagger at the horse. [00:05:03] Speaker A: Horse sauce. [00:05:05] Speaker D: God damn it. For a 25 that will miss. [00:05:08] Speaker A: Would you like to use your hero point? [00:05:11] Speaker D: I think I will, just cuz. Cuz. [00:05:14] Speaker A: Ah. Delicious hero points. [00:05:17] Speaker D: I'm hoping I get better than an eight on the die. [00:05:19] Speaker B: I feel like hitting a horse in a hallway is very similar. Like hitting the broadside of a Barna expression. [00:05:27] Speaker A: Is it? [00:05:27] Speaker D: Is he flat footed now because he can't move? [00:05:31] Speaker A: Yeah, he is. And you still missed. [00:05:34] Speaker D: Okay, I'm just asking. [00:05:36] Speaker C: That's why I want to see if. [00:05:37] Speaker D: I can roll better than it. An 18 on the die for a 35. [00:05:43] Speaker A: A 35 is a regular hit. [00:05:48] Speaker D: I know. All righty. Damage it is. Cold iron. [00:05:52] Speaker B: Nice. [00:05:53] Speaker D: Which I'm hoping. Max. Max. Damage. [00:05:57] Speaker C: Attic girl. [00:05:59] Speaker D: Which is eight damage because it's dagger. But still it's cold iron. [00:06:02] Speaker A: It takes its eight. And you are. Did you learn? No. You did not learn what it was weak or strong to. So. All right. [00:06:12] Speaker D: Hoping it was just gonna be the same as the hags because they're nightmare fiends as well. Well. [00:06:16] Speaker A: All right. It is now the top of round two. [00:06:21] Speaker B: Boo boo. Boo boo. [00:06:28] Speaker D: You know, all the monsters get to go again. [00:06:31] Speaker A: Yeah. Now all the monsters go. [00:06:35] Speaker B: Including me. Yep. [00:06:37] Speaker A: You're the. You're the biggest monster of them all. So the nightmare goes first. [00:06:44] Speaker E: Just as a side note, I would really like an upgrade to gravity well, where, like, it still only has the 30 meters. 30 foot radius, but it actually has the power of, like, you know, a black hole. [00:06:55] Speaker D: Yeah, like it just gets more and. [00:06:57] Speaker E: More like it just crushes them. [00:07:01] Speaker A: The nightmare, since it can't move, will attempt to. To bite at the only person near it. So it's going to bite at Twin Talon. [00:07:16] Speaker C: Uh, can it see? [00:07:18] Speaker B: Twin talent can see through its own smoke. [00:07:20] Speaker A: Unfortunately, it can see through its own gimmick. [00:07:23] Speaker B: Some gimmick is apropos. [00:07:26] Speaker E: It it doesn't get high on its own supply. [00:07:29] Speaker A: That's true. Uh, are you. No, you're not flat footed to it. You can never be flat footed. Never mind. [00:07:38] Speaker B: I can, but not from flanking or anything. Normally that would cause me 500. [00:07:45] Speaker A: Okay. Actually, it's gonna kick at you with a hoof. I lie. Hoof power. Oof. How's a 38 versus your ace? [00:07:54] Speaker B: Might be a critical hit. Yeah, it is. [00:07:57] Speaker C: I'm sorry. Can't liberate you. [00:07:59] Speaker B: Why did I come into this fight? I don't know why I did that. I should have hung back. [00:08:03] Speaker A: All right, so let's do regular damage. Well, let me. Let me. [00:08:08] Speaker B: Let me draw it. A critical name is Cole Nasher, which, again, of the names we've seen. Quality name, right? [00:08:15] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:08:17] Speaker A: Ooh. This is a critical hit from one of our lovely patriots. [00:08:23] Speaker B: Fucking dead patriots. [00:08:24] Speaker A: Patriots. This is from Mike from Peth. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. So this is bludgeoning damage. Dislocated elbow. The target is sickened, two and slowed, one. These conditions persist until the target is healed to full or is the target of a successful medicine check. Okay, so let's just throw some sickened on you here. [00:09:01] Speaker B: Sickened. [00:09:01] Speaker A: Two, you cannot retch to get rid of the sicken. Just so you know, you have to be healed. [00:09:07] Speaker B: Right. [00:09:08] Speaker A: And slowed. One and double damage. So let's, let's. Oh, boy, this is. I forgot I did the big one for first. Let's do damage. [00:09:22] Speaker B: It's a hoof. [00:09:24] Speaker A: So let me break this down for you. You take one d eight plus eight, bludgeoning damage. [00:09:31] Speaker B: Okay. [00:09:32] Speaker A: Then you take one d six plus four, evil damage. [00:09:38] Speaker B: Okay? [00:09:39] Speaker C: Oh, so they are evil. [00:09:41] Speaker A: Then you take one d eight plus four, fire damage. [00:09:46] Speaker B: Okay, so at least I take less fire damage. So you rolled on your d eight s. You rolled seven and eight, and your d six rolled a six. [00:09:54] Speaker A: I did, yeah. So the first one is the. Oh, this is one d eight plus eight. So that's seven. So seven plus eight is 1515. So that's 30 points of damage. Bludgeoning. Okay, do you have anything that would reduce bludgeoning? [00:10:16] Speaker B: No. [00:10:17] Speaker A: Okay, so that's 30, bludgeoning. And then you take six plus four, which is ten, which is 20 evil. So that's another 20. And then eight plus four, fire. So that would be 1224, fire, minus five. Five would be 19. I hit you for 74 points of damage, minus five because of your bracelets, you're gonna take. Or your ring, you're gonna take 69 points of damage. [00:11:00] Speaker C: Noise, I mean, not nice, but you know what I mean. [00:11:03] Speaker D: You know, it's a nice amount of damage. [00:11:06] Speaker A: First action. [00:11:08] Speaker C: Oh, for fun sake. [00:11:09] Speaker B: I'm looking something up, but anyway, go on. [00:11:12] Speaker A: Okay. All right. So its next action is. It's just gonna bite you, man. [00:11:22] Speaker C: I wish, like, as a reaction, I could be like, oi, ugly. Why did it in that accident? I don't know. Don't. [00:11:29] Speaker B: Yeah, I wish. I wish there was something I could do to avoid getting mauled to death by a horse, too. Twin town loves horses. That's the worst part. [00:11:37] Speaker C: Like, yeah, not anymore. [00:11:41] Speaker D: Look, a nightmare. Steed is not a horse. [00:11:43] Speaker A: Yeah, it's true. So it goes to bite you, and it misses, and then it's gonna roll. It's gonna try and hit you with those hooves again. Those sweet, sweet hooves. 26. [00:11:59] Speaker B: Miss me by one. [00:11:59] Speaker A: Missed you by one. It's an agile, so it's only. It's only minus two. It's a minus eight. Well, that was its turn. Now let's. Let's go to our new friend that you guys haven't actually seen. They're going to. Oh, my goodness. I have to look and see how many. How long this takes because I'm stuck in the middle with you. [00:12:26] Speaker B: So to get out, they basically need to spend all of their actions moving, and then they get out in whatever time that their squeeze, athletics or acrobatics, whichever it was, tells them. [00:12:37] Speaker A: Aha. So you see her start casting. [00:12:46] Speaker B: I don't see shit. [00:12:47] Speaker A: Well, that's true. And for one action, which I'm really happy about, it shrinks to a medium sized creature. [00:13:00] Speaker C: Squash it. Wait, no, medium. [00:13:02] Speaker A: Okay, then for her second action, she is going to move. Bye bye. [00:13:10] Speaker C: Come, come cuddle me, lady. [00:13:13] Speaker A: Unfortunately, she moves away now, and I just. [00:13:18] Speaker D: I'm just imagining, like, Dimitri's cool. We got rusty May. [00:13:26] Speaker A: All right? And that is, well, now that, you know, their speed demon, or horse, is stuck, the hag will get off the horse. [00:13:39] Speaker D: Get done off that pie horse bitch. [00:13:40] Speaker B: Does she immediately have to make a fortitude save? She can't see. [00:13:46] Speaker A: Fuck. [00:13:47] Speaker C: Blast. [00:13:49] Speaker A: Gets off. [00:13:49] Speaker D: Can't see. Gets sick. [00:13:51] Speaker A: All right, let's see if she can make that save easily. Makes it. [00:13:56] Speaker D: She still can't see. [00:13:57] Speaker A: Still can't see now, but she can move. 25. And we'll take a swingy swang. Swung at Briena. [00:14:16] Speaker C: All right, what's up? [00:14:20] Speaker A: She's gonna bite you, girl. [00:14:22] Speaker C: Buy me a drink. [00:14:23] Speaker A: 1St 29 does not hit. All right, and for her second action, she's gonna try and bite you again. Oh, my God. [00:14:37] Speaker C: I'm sorry. Sean, what did you want for the audience? [00:14:41] Speaker A: Natural one. [00:14:46] Speaker C: Beautiful. You want to, you know, pull out that Christmas card there? [00:14:50] Speaker A: No, because she's named I will. Melee. Creeping hesitation. You are flat footed until the end of your next turn. [00:15:02] Speaker C: Fantastic. [00:15:03] Speaker A: No, it sucks. [00:15:05] Speaker C: Well, you know, perspective. [00:15:09] Speaker A: Winsome. [00:15:09] Speaker C: Lose some. [00:15:10] Speaker A: All right, next up, knife, sword. It is your turn. [00:15:14] Speaker E: Time to do something. Okay, um, I'm going to grab the horse's shadow and rip it off. [00:15:24] Speaker A: I'm sorry, you're gonna do what? [00:15:28] Speaker C: Done it before. No. [00:15:29] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, I just don't like it. Don't like it at all. [00:15:32] Speaker C: I love it. [00:15:34] Speaker E: So I need a fortitude save from the horse. DC 27. [00:15:39] Speaker A: You know what they say. Save a horse, ride a twin town. [00:15:45] Speaker E: Oh, I'm sorry, that's a failure. So you'll be taking three d, four damage. [00:15:50] Speaker A: Okay. [00:15:51] Speaker E: And you become infected. Oh, and I can sustain the spell and throttle the shadow as much as I want. [00:16:02] Speaker A: So eleven points of damage and you become enfeebled. [00:16:07] Speaker E: Physically weakened always includes a value. When you're enfeebled, tick. The status penalty equal to the condition. Strength based rolls DC's, including strength based melee attack rolls, strength based damage rolls, and athletics checks. And I'll just launch a. For my last thing, I'll launch a question. If I'm sustaining a spell and I cast another spell, does that stop the sustaining? [00:16:30] Speaker B: No, it does not. Sustaining a spell is an action. So next turn, you would then spend an action to sustain a spell. [00:16:38] Speaker E: Okay. [00:16:39] Speaker B: I think if you really want to in second edition, you could just, like, have two spells sustained. I mean, three, technically. If you could find a one action spell that was sustainable, and then your whole life would just be sustaining those three spells. But. Yeah, but steel. Steel shadow can be sustained for up to ten rounds. [00:16:55] Speaker E: All right? And then I'm gonna cast a. Just a level two magic missile. [00:17:00] Speaker A: Oh, great. Thanks. [00:17:03] Speaker E: You're welcome. [00:17:04] Speaker A: With one action. So three points of damage onto coal nashers. [00:17:10] Speaker E: All right. And I'm done. [00:17:12] Speaker A: All right, next up is Brianna. [00:17:17] Speaker C: Hello, lovely lady. You have stepped into my guard. You know what this means, right? I would be forced to smite the evil right out of you. So I declare her my objective, my blade's affection, question mark. I don't know what's happening. [00:17:35] Speaker B: I'm sure that's it. [00:17:38] Speaker C: And. Yeah, let's. Let's do some strikes. [00:17:42] Speaker A: Okay. [00:17:42] Speaker C: All right. Ugh. It was so close to being 19, and that rolled over. How's a 28? [00:17:48] Speaker A: A 28, flat footed. [00:17:52] Speaker C: Mm hmm. [00:17:53] Speaker A: Will hit. [00:17:56] Speaker C: Beautiful. Let me just check in with my rules lawyer here. I'm trying to see if I am master with my scimitar. [00:18:07] Speaker B: You are not. Mastery for weapons comes at level 13 for a champion. [00:18:12] Speaker C: Okay, never mind then. I still do. Let's see. Let's see here. [00:18:18] Speaker B: You're an expert. [00:18:19] Speaker C: Let's do some damage. Take 15 plus 419 points of damage. Okay, let's do that one more time. [00:18:28] Speaker A: Could you not see how well we do? I'd really rather you not. [00:18:32] Speaker C: I'll just keep doing it. [00:18:34] Speaker B: Damn it. [00:18:34] Speaker C: How's a 21? [00:18:35] Speaker A: That is a miss. Miss. [00:18:38] Speaker B: It's a swiss miss. [00:18:39] Speaker C: Yeah, a swiss miss. I guess I'll have to raise my shield. Okay, that's my go to strike. Tyson, raise a shield. I think I would like bang my scimitar on the shield itself. Kind of keep her focus on me. [00:18:53] Speaker A: All right, twin Talon, you're slowed. One, you're sickened, two, gasping at air, bleeding, dying. You just gonna give up now? [00:19:07] Speaker B: Actually, I'd like to take you to rules court, Sean. [00:19:09] Speaker A: Oh, can I get a bum bum dun dun. Thank you. [00:19:13] Speaker C: Oh, man. I don't have it prepped on the sound deck. [00:19:17] Speaker B: Do it post. [00:19:18] Speaker A: Yes. Rules court. [00:19:21] Speaker B: All right, so I think I should have five more hit points of damage or hit points. [00:19:26] Speaker A: I should say I can take five more hit points of damage. [00:19:28] Speaker C: Wow. That easy? [00:19:29] Speaker B: Okay, I would like all of my hit points back then. [00:19:32] Speaker A: No, no, no. I'll give you more damage. That's. [00:19:35] Speaker E: You said you should have more damage. That's kind of. [00:19:37] Speaker B: No, no, I hit points. [00:19:38] Speaker A: Okay? [00:19:39] Speaker B: And here's why. Because under doubling and halving damage, what it says is when this happens, you roll the damage normally, adding all the normal modifiers, bonuses and penalties, then you double or have the amount as appropriate, rounding down if you have it. So I would argue that the penalty from the damage resistance or the fire resistance would be applied before the doubling, per my reading of that rule. [00:20:04] Speaker A: Okay, I'll allow it. I'll give you back five more hit points. [00:20:07] Speaker B: Okay. Why do I have five hit points now? [00:20:11] Speaker A: Cause I can't. There. Fixed. Have five more points of health. You're at 43. [00:20:21] Speaker B: Okay. All right, there's no way to know. That's true, but. [00:20:24] Speaker A: Okay, I did it, I promise. Okay, I am flat footed to you. [00:20:31] Speaker B: You are. But my first action is going to be to use battle medicine on myself. [00:20:37] Speaker A: Okay, that's clever. [00:20:38] Speaker B: That is a medicine check. And that should get rid of all the shit that's on me. Assuming I can not roll very poorly. I need to roll three is what I need. [00:20:49] Speaker A: But do you need to do a flat check to find yourself? Because you're concealed to yourself? No. Oh, damn. Okay, Shawn, I'm not blind. [00:20:58] Speaker D: Look, sometimes you just need some time to find yourself. It's okay. [00:21:03] Speaker A: I was trying. I really, really was trying. [00:21:06] Speaker B: Oh, wow. Sickened makes my medicine check worse. Oh, this is bullshit anyway. All right, that 20 for a 30, which means I critically succeed. [00:21:16] Speaker A: Yeah, let me remove those. Mike from Perth, I appreciated those stats. I'm really sad they have to go away. [00:21:24] Speaker B: And I also get back Hita points, I believe is what they're called. So. [00:21:29] Speaker C: Yes. [00:21:30] Speaker A: How many? [00:21:30] Speaker B: Two d. Eight. Two D eight times two. Two daughter. Eight. [00:21:36] Speaker A: Oh, yes, because you critted. [00:21:38] Speaker B: I did. So 15, which gives me 30 hit points back. [00:21:42] Speaker A: All right, so I'm supposed to take away 30 hit points. [00:21:44] Speaker B: Nope. Which is 43. So it should be 73 when you're all done, not 58. What are you doing? Okay, 73. There we go. [00:21:51] Speaker A: Yeah, I had to hit 15 twice. I'm sorry. [00:21:54] Speaker B: Okay. Okay. [00:21:56] Speaker D: On this edition of Berate, your game master. [00:22:00] Speaker B: Sorry, I'm a little. I'm a little trigger happy with that. Just because when we were doing damage, when we probably cut out, I took 69 damage and went from 107 to one hit point somehow. So I'm just trying to make sure I get all those hit points. I'm gonna need them. Okay, so now that I'm no longer all of the things. [00:22:23] Speaker A: Okay, so you still lose the one action for this round. [00:22:27] Speaker B: Correct. I believe slowed would basically knock it out at the very beginning. Yeah, use it up. [00:22:32] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:22:33] Speaker B: So twintal is gonna yell out, taysani, you help Brianna. And then as you look at the horse and say, I'm very disappointed in you, and then he's going to stab the horse. [00:22:42] Speaker C: That is amazing. [00:22:46] Speaker A: Okay, well, it's intelligent. [00:22:48] Speaker B: I don't know if it knows the language or not, but he's talking to it in common. [00:22:51] Speaker D: Just gotta do what you can. [00:22:53] Speaker B: Okay, 35 versus its flat footed Ac. [00:22:56] Speaker A: 35 versus its flat footed ac will hit. [00:23:01] Speaker B: Okay, so that is 26 damage, which is magical. And cold iron if it makes a difference, and that will be my. My turn. Taysani giving her one action, taysani is gonna take a flap to the south. So now she is actually flanking with Brianna sweet. [00:23:20] Speaker C: Okay, thank you. [00:23:20] Speaker B: Yep. [00:23:22] Speaker A: Saraya, it is your turn. [00:23:25] Speaker D: Alrighty. For my first action, I'm gonna draw and throw one of my poison smoke bombs. [00:23:34] Speaker A: Okay. [00:23:35] Speaker D: Hoping it's not immune to poison. Even if it is, though, it has to make a fortitude save or be sicken. Okay. And it's a 27. And since it is an aoe thing, I'm aiming just behind it. [00:23:46] Speaker A: Okay. [00:23:47] Speaker D: Because it's template radius. Yeah, I don't want to get you in that. [00:23:50] Speaker A: That's. [00:23:51] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:23:51] Speaker D: That's no fun. [00:23:52] Speaker A: 27. [00:23:54] Speaker D: I'm aiming for a square. [00:23:55] Speaker A: Oh, okay. So that'll hit a square. [00:23:58] Speaker D: Yes. Cool. Okay. And that should not hit Twintellon. So for the first round that you're affected by this, it does two D six poison damage and it is sickened one. It can make a fort save DC 27. [00:24:11] Speaker A: Okay, let me make a fort save 35. [00:24:16] Speaker D: Yep. Yep, that'll do it. So it is not second. [00:24:19] Speaker A: So. But it takes six points of damage. [00:24:21] Speaker D: Six points of poison damage. [00:24:23] Speaker A: Okay. [00:24:24] Speaker D: It actually seems to take the poison. Sweet. I'm happy. And then I'm going to use telekinetic projectile and I'm going to fling the cold iron dagger back at it again. [00:24:33] Speaker A: All right. [00:24:34] Speaker D: All right. So let me just. That because that's a spell attack. 22 is gonna miss. [00:24:39] Speaker A: Uh, yeah, very much so. [00:24:42] Speaker D: Um, but it's a new episode, so I should have a hero point. [00:24:45] Speaker A: You do. [00:24:46] Speaker B: I'm gonna hope. [00:24:47] Speaker D: Hope that works. Does a 30 hit? [00:24:50] Speaker A: Yes, it does. [00:24:52] Speaker C: Yes. [00:24:53] Speaker D: Sweet. Is it really 12345 D six. [00:24:57] Speaker B: Sweet. [00:24:58] Speaker D: I forgot that heightens. Uh, and it is cold, cold iron. I. [00:25:00] Speaker A: So 19 points of damage seems to take the damage. [00:25:04] Speaker D: Muahaha. And every turn, it stays in that cloud. It's going to take more damage. [00:25:10] Speaker A: Yeah. And it can't move. Thanks. It is now Col. Nasher's turn. Well, since Saraya is still out of reach, we're gonna do another hoof at Twin Talon. [00:25:24] Speaker E: Remember, he's enfeebled one. [00:25:26] Speaker A: Oh, he is at the moment. [00:25:28] Speaker D: I mean, you passed the second save, so. [00:25:30] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. All right, so he's still gonna try and hit twin Talon with a. With a. With a foot. Just try and stomp your face in again. [00:25:41] Speaker C: That's rude. I still can't get to you. [00:25:44] Speaker B: I'm still disappointed in him. [00:25:46] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:25:46] Speaker A: Yeah. Does a 38 hit? [00:25:51] Speaker B: That's the exact same fucking thing you critted on me with last time. [00:25:55] Speaker A: Well, I rolled a 17 yes. [00:25:56] Speaker B: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. The answer is yes. That is the appropriate answer. I apologize. And I looked, and squeezing doesn't seem to affect your, like, attacks right now. [00:26:04] Speaker A: It does not. All right. [00:26:06] Speaker B: Which is weird, but. [00:26:07] Speaker A: Okay, so it is 64 points of damage. [00:26:11] Speaker B: How much of that is fire? [00:26:12] Speaker A: 20 of it is fire. [00:26:14] Speaker B: Okay, so I basically take off ten. So I get hit by 54. [00:26:18] Speaker A: 54 points of damage as it's bludgeoning. Fiery and evil. [00:26:28] Speaker B: Evil. [00:26:30] Speaker A: And then it's going to try and bite you. It snaps its jaw at you for its second and final attack. [00:26:38] Speaker B: 23 is a miss. [00:26:40] Speaker A: It's a miss. So it snaps at you and misses. All right. It is now the flat footed Kalini's turn. [00:26:48] Speaker B: I don't. I don't mean to harp it. Why did it only get two actions? [00:26:52] Speaker A: Oh, it's enfeebled, not slowed. [00:26:56] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, I don't want to die, but I think it. [00:26:59] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:27:00] Speaker B: Might be able to hit me. [00:27:01] Speaker A: Yeah, it's gonna bite at you one more time. [00:27:03] Speaker D: Okay, that's just banking on it. Rolling another one. [00:27:06] Speaker B: No, I. Oh, fucked. [00:27:10] Speaker C: And it did. [00:27:12] Speaker A: Or it can roll another one. [00:27:16] Speaker B: Oh, so good. Babe ruthing it there, Christine. Just calling it. [00:27:22] Speaker E: Yep. [00:27:23] Speaker D: You can't see me pointing, but I. [00:27:24] Speaker A: Am fog of war. [00:27:27] Speaker D: Uh oh. [00:27:28] Speaker A: You are dazzled until the end of your next round. The fog that it constantly puts out is now blinding itself. [00:27:39] Speaker D: I know. I think the fog from my poison bomb is blinding. [00:27:42] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that. That. That makes more sense. [00:27:45] Speaker D: So do you want to do that additional damage on the end of my turn or the end of its. [00:27:50] Speaker A: Oh, it takes the additional damage at the end of its. No, it's at the end of your turn. [00:27:55] Speaker D: Yeah, because I was the. [00:27:57] Speaker A: Cause. It can't save to get out, so. [00:28:00] Speaker D: I can save for the sake of. But not for the damage. [00:28:03] Speaker A: Right. And it already saved on the second. [00:28:05] Speaker D: Every round it has to save. [00:28:07] Speaker B: Is it persistent damage, or is it just. On your turn? [00:28:10] Speaker A: On your turn. It does it. [00:28:12] Speaker D: Yeah, it's an aoe that dissipates after three rounds. [00:28:15] Speaker B: Oh, okay, that's cool. [00:28:16] Speaker A: Let me try and save on the second. Oh, on your turn. On your turn. [00:28:21] Speaker D: Yeah, on my turn. We'll just do it. [00:28:22] Speaker A: All right, great. Now, the night hag, defender of the day hag. Ah. It will claw at Briena. [00:28:39] Speaker C: Okay. [00:28:39] Speaker A: Oof. [00:28:42] Speaker C: 42 is a critical success. [00:28:45] Speaker A: Oh, boy. I was not expecting this. Hang on, I gotta pull up some stuff as well as. Let me. Well, first off, let's just do the fun stuff. Let me draw a critical hit card. [00:29:00] Speaker C: Can I give you my hair point to reroll? [00:29:03] Speaker A: Unfortunately. Okay. It is a piercing attack. It is a leg wound. You take a minus five foot status penalty to your land speed until you are healed. [00:29:20] Speaker C: I'm already slow as is. [00:29:22] Speaker A: Yeah, that's not really, you know. Not. [00:29:25] Speaker D: That could be a lot worse. [00:29:27] Speaker A: It really could. [00:29:29] Speaker C: I mean, I'm still taking ridiculous amounts of damage, I'm sure, but. [00:29:34] Speaker A: Sure you are. -5ft oh, no, I'm slower. Double damage. Which is more important? Important? [00:29:44] Speaker C: Yep. [00:29:45] Speaker A: You're going to take 62 points of damage. 52 of that is physical. [00:29:52] Speaker C: All right. [00:29:53] Speaker A: And ten of that is evil. So that it's just 62 points. It's not terrible for you. [00:30:01] Speaker C: Shut up. [00:30:02] Speaker A: But we do need to deal with this. Give me a fortitude saving throw. [00:30:09] Speaker C: Well, out of the three, it's definitely what I would have preferred. [00:30:12] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:30:12] Speaker C: So here we go. [00:30:14] Speaker A: Let's see how that works. [00:30:16] Speaker C: How's a 29? [00:30:18] Speaker A: That is a fail. You have a hero point. [00:30:21] Speaker D: Cool. [00:30:23] Speaker C: Sure. All right, I'll give you my hero point. All right, ready? [00:30:27] Speaker A: So the worst you can do is fail, right? Because even if you roll a critical fail, we're gonna use the better of the two. [00:30:33] Speaker C: Okay, come on now. [00:30:37] Speaker A: 38 is a success. [00:30:40] Speaker C: Okay. But because I have juggernaut, it is a critical success now. [00:30:44] Speaker A: Okay. All right. So you are still. You're still good. You're obviously. You're not. It's not any worse. [00:30:52] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [00:30:54] Speaker A: Second action. [00:30:55] Speaker C: Oh, I had my shield up, not that it mattered. [00:30:59] Speaker A: Okay. [00:30:59] Speaker C: I mean, maybe for damage, that shield could. [00:31:02] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, you can take some of the damage on your shield. Absolutely. [00:31:06] Speaker C: I forget how to do that. [00:31:08] Speaker A: That's totally fine. [00:31:08] Speaker B: You use a reaction to do the shield block reaction. [00:31:13] Speaker D: Right. [00:31:13] Speaker B: Then your shield's hardness is deducted from the damage. And then both you and the shield take the rest of it. So it probably will obliterate your shield. [00:31:23] Speaker C: Yeah, I have quick repair, though. [00:31:28] Speaker B: That's fair. Although, because it is a penalty to damage, it would be applied before the doubling. [00:31:34] Speaker A: Oh, okay. So your shield has a hardness of six. [00:31:40] Speaker C: What? That doesn't sound right. That was a hardness of ten at least. [00:31:46] Speaker D: Don't you have the. It's the dragon spike shield. [00:31:49] Speaker A: You have the. You have the spike shield, which has a hardness of six. But remember, you can also break off one spine per six damage, reducing the damage by six. [00:31:59] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:31:59] Speaker C: Take that, old hag lady. [00:32:02] Speaker B: And how many spikes does it have? [00:32:04] Speaker C: I believe five. [00:32:06] Speaker B: Okay, so that's 30 damage, which means, I mean, if you used all of it, which maybe on a crit, not the worst thing, it would be 30 damage, minus the six from the shield, would actually negate all of the damage. [00:32:18] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. [00:32:20] Speaker B: And that would be that it wouldn't have any spines on it, but it would negate a whole all of the damage from the crit. [00:32:25] Speaker A: Okay, all right, so I just gave you back all of your hit the 62 hit points. [00:32:31] Speaker C: Uh huh. Question then. Does the hag take the damage from the spikes? [00:32:37] Speaker A: No, you only take damage from the spikes when you shoot them. [00:32:41] Speaker C: I use it as a. Okay, lame, but. [00:32:44] Speaker A: Okay, now the hag. [00:32:46] Speaker B: I mean, not taking 62 damage. Man, I wish I had something that did that. [00:32:49] Speaker D: Right. That's just a beautiful little. Fuck you. [00:32:52] Speaker A: I'm gonna step away at this point. [00:32:55] Speaker C: Oh, no, you won't. Five. I can't. [00:32:58] Speaker A: Ten. [00:32:59] Speaker C: Fuck, I'm so mad. [00:33:01] Speaker A: Actually, 510. You bitch. 1520. [00:33:07] Speaker B: Wait, is she going after knife sword? [00:33:09] Speaker A: Five. No, no. Honestly, I forgot knife sword Washington. There. [00:33:14] Speaker B: I feel like this is, like, when a line. I hope I don't lose anybody with the sports metaphor, it's like when a linebacker just, like, intercepts a pass, and, like, the only person between them and the goal line is the quarterback, and they're just like, uh, I kind of want to stop you, but I also don't want to get murdered, so I'm gonna just try, like, pretend, like, no, she's gonna. [00:33:33] Speaker C: Wait, am I the quarterback in this? [00:33:37] Speaker B: No, that would be. I'm saying if she, like, barreled down on knife sword, he's like, well, I don't really physically want to get in your way, but I also don't want to let you go by, so. [00:33:45] Speaker E: Where'd she go? [00:33:47] Speaker A: She kept moving. [00:33:47] Speaker B: She continued south. [00:33:48] Speaker A: Oh, she. [00:33:50] Speaker B: She's hiding in the corner of the room for whatever reason. Maybe she's crying about her crit, not doing anything. [00:33:56] Speaker A: Knife sword, it is your turn. [00:33:59] Speaker E: Hmm. Well, first action, I'm gonna throttle the horse's shadow. So that's three d, four, negative damage. [00:34:07] Speaker A: Three d, four. So nine more points of negative damage. All right? [00:34:13] Speaker E: And then I'm gonna zap it with chilling darkness, okay? Yes. [00:34:18] Speaker B: Chilling darkness. Nice. [00:34:20] Speaker A: 35 against. The horsing sauce will hit. [00:34:26] Speaker E: All right. [00:34:27] Speaker B: I think horsey sauce, like, from Arby's. [00:34:29] Speaker C: Yeah, I keep hearing too. [00:34:32] Speaker B: Okay. [00:34:32] Speaker A: I'm hungry. It's delicious. [00:34:36] Speaker B: I love horseradish. [00:34:37] Speaker A: You hit. That's a lot of dice. [00:34:40] Speaker E: There you go. 27 damage. Cold damage. [00:34:44] Speaker B: Yeah, put that fire out, all right? [00:34:46] Speaker A: It hits and deals damage. [00:34:49] Speaker E: It's not celestial, by chance, is it? [00:34:52] Speaker A: Uh, no, no, it is not celestial. [00:34:56] Speaker E: Because that'd be another five. D six damage. [00:34:58] Speaker A: Oh my goodness. That's just not right. [00:35:01] Speaker D: Hmm. [00:35:02] Speaker C: Agree to disagree. [00:35:05] Speaker A: Is that your turn? Oh, yes. You maintained you casted. It's now Briena's turn after she managed to avoid all of my damage. [00:35:22] Speaker E: Wait, does it stay in feeble as long as I sustain the thing? [00:35:25] Speaker B: If you spend it. Action to sustain it? I believe so. Yeah. [00:35:28] Speaker A: Yes. [00:35:28] Speaker E: Yep. [00:35:29] Speaker C: I'm torn. [00:35:31] Speaker B: That's a song. What's that song? [00:35:37] Speaker C: Yeah, Brianna suddenly, like, peels off all her armor and is naked on the floor right now. Not the first time she's been naked in front of this crowd, let me tell you. But no, I. But no. I kind of want to go chase the hag around a little bit, but this. This horse keeps kicking the shit out of you, twin Talon. [00:36:03] Speaker B: Yeah, I think I'm gonna. [00:36:04] Speaker D: That's all right. I plan on. I plan on going for the hag on my turn, so. [00:36:07] Speaker C: All right, well, I can't move very far anyway, so I guess you only. [00:36:11] Speaker B: Got 15ft, which, to be fair, is two movements to the hag. Whether she was slowed or not, it's the same. [00:36:19] Speaker C: Yep. So that's what I'm gonna. I'ma do and then smack her. Oh, all right. Hello. [00:36:25] Speaker A: Hi. Hi. [00:36:25] Speaker C: Lady, did you think you could run away from me? I mean, nobody puts Haggie in the corner, right? So let's. Let me show you this beautiful sword I have. Son of a fucking bitch. [00:36:39] Speaker A: 23 is a regular miss. [00:36:42] Speaker C: I hate everything. Well, that's all I got, so. [00:36:44] Speaker A: All right. Twin Talon, it is your face. [00:36:47] Speaker B: All right, so enough of this horse. I've learned my lesson. [00:36:50] Speaker A: More blood coming out of you. [00:36:53] Speaker B: Yeah, well, like, Soraya is killing it with the every turn damage. Life Sword is strangling its shadow and shooting stuff at it. And me standing here is just gonna get myself killed. I don't think it's actually gonna help me much. [00:37:06] Speaker A: So do you want to make a new character? [00:37:09] Speaker B: I mean, I always want to make a new character, but I also don't want twin Talon to die. Like, those are two different questions. [00:37:16] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Sorry, sorry, sorry. [00:37:18] Speaker B: Okay, so Twintellen is going to retreat, which is like treating, but twice. 20. Ugh. I want to pile on this hag in the corner, but I also don't want to get murdered. These things. Hits are. To hit is so high. [00:37:36] Speaker A: Welcome to book three. [00:37:38] Speaker B: Are you sure James Sutter didn't write this book? [00:37:40] Speaker E: Yeah, it's actually him and his clone under a pseudonym. [00:37:44] Speaker B: Yeah, sounds like it. Yeah. So 30 people get me up to her, I guess, where I live now. All right. And I'm going to. Twin town's going to attack her. Since she's also flat footed. We'll see how this role goes, and then we'll see if I stay or stick around or not. 32 to hit her flat footed ac. [00:38:03] Speaker A: 32 to hit her flat footed. AC will hit. [00:38:08] Speaker B: Okay, so this is, again, a cold iron weapon, which I think does extra damage to her, correct? [00:38:13] Speaker A: Yes. You did find out that she has cold iron. Ten. [00:38:16] Speaker B: Okay, so it is 14 plus four. I did very poor on my damaging this time. So 18 damage plus whatever the cold iron is. And she is enfeebled. 118. [00:38:31] Speaker A: And she is enfeebled one. [00:38:34] Speaker B: Yes. [00:38:35] Speaker A: Is that your turn? [00:38:36] Speaker B: That's two actions. Yeah, I know Brienne has a busted up shield, but other than that, looks unscathed. [00:38:43] Speaker C: I'm all right. Don't worry about me. [00:38:45] Speaker B: And twin talent has, like, two scorching horseshoe marks in his chest. He's, like, wheezing and blood's coming out of his mouth. So he is going to take a step backwards away from her. [00:39:01] Speaker A: Okay. [00:39:02] Speaker B: And then Taesani, being told to help Brianna, is going to follow and. Yeah, just kind of hang out. And so Taysani glides across the room and lands in front of the hag and screeches in her face. [00:39:14] Speaker C: Good girl. [00:39:15] Speaker B: And then she winks at Brianna. Oh, that's a thing people do, right? Yeah, she's people all right. [00:39:21] Speaker C: But is it like a dog wink where you don't know if they're actually winking or. [00:39:26] Speaker B: Yes, yes. It's very like she just blinks one eye, like, did that pterodactyl just wink at me? [00:39:34] Speaker C: Deal. [00:39:35] Speaker B: I love it. Yeah. And then that will be. That will be it for this turn. [00:39:39] Speaker A: All right. Shit. [00:39:41] Speaker B: Do I want to stay? Hmm. I'm so torn. I'm so. I'm nearly dead, though. I can't. I can't risk being up next to her. [00:39:46] Speaker D: No, don't do it. [00:39:47] Speaker B: Yeah, no. All right. It's fine. I did what I did. [00:39:50] Speaker A: All right. It is now Soraya's turn, safe in. [00:39:54] Speaker D: The knowledge that it's probably going to take at least a little bit of damage. This turn, I'm gonna move 5ft so I'm firmly within 30ft of the hag. I'm gonna use telekinetic projectile and fling the dagger over to her. [00:40:09] Speaker A: Her being the hag. Okay. [00:40:12] Speaker D: Yes. No. I'm gonna attack Brianna for some reason. [00:40:17] Speaker A: No. Maybe. You're six tonight. [00:40:19] Speaker D: 30. [00:40:19] Speaker A: 30. She is not flat footed. Will miss. [00:40:23] Speaker D: Are you kidding? [00:40:25] Speaker A: No. [00:40:25] Speaker D: I hate you. I didn't write it so much. I hate you. [00:40:31] Speaker A: I am doing what the book tells me to do. [00:40:34] Speaker D: How is she? [00:40:35] Speaker C: Not. [00:40:35] Speaker D: Whatever. Fine. [00:40:37] Speaker A: She's not playing it, I don't think. [00:40:39] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't think she's flat footed. [00:40:42] Speaker D: Okay. Wish you hadn't moved. [00:40:45] Speaker B: Well, she still wouldn't be flat footed to you. She'd only be flat footed to me. [00:40:49] Speaker D: That's true. Because you just have your fate. Well, that's my turn then, because I don't think I have a hero point. I used it earlier. [00:40:54] Speaker A: How much damage does the horse deal? [00:40:57] Speaker D: Takes another one d. Six poison. And it has to make another fortitude save. So it takes six more poison. [00:41:03] Speaker A: Fortitude save, 38. [00:41:06] Speaker D: That'll succeed. Critically. That's fine. I'm hoping it fails on its next one. [00:41:11] Speaker A: All right, back to the top of the round. [00:41:15] Speaker B: Really? We got through Christine's whole turn. [00:41:18] Speaker A: I know. [00:41:19] Speaker D: I mean, to be fair, nothing happened. [00:41:20] Speaker A: Because while the horse literally can't do. [00:41:24] Speaker B: Anything, 30 AC is just so high. [00:41:28] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:41:28] Speaker D: For 30 to not hit, I'm like, ouch. [00:41:31] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:31] Speaker A: So the hag here will cast two actions. [00:41:37] Speaker B: Is there any manipulating in that? [00:41:40] Speaker A: There is a somatic and a verbal. [00:41:43] Speaker B: So somatic would be hand motions. Yeah. [00:41:46] Speaker A: Yeah. It's a specific. Yes. It gains the manipulate trait. [00:41:51] Speaker B: Okay. And if somebody does a manipulate action next to somebody who has a reaction and maybe attack of opportunity. [00:41:56] Speaker A: Yes. [00:41:57] Speaker B: Asking for a friend. [00:42:00] Speaker A: Hiya. What? Yes, manipulate action in front of you. If you could take an attack of opportunity, it might work. [00:42:08] Speaker C: Nah. [00:42:08] Speaker A: Okay. [00:42:10] Speaker C: Just kidding. Of course I will. [00:42:12] Speaker D: Just decided to side with you. [00:42:14] Speaker B: Have a 30 ac. I have a 30 AC. We should hang out. [00:42:17] Speaker C: Actually, you're kind of cool. [00:42:19] Speaker A: Fuck. [00:42:20] Speaker C: Oh, my God. I hate everything. That's why I didn't want to do it. [00:42:24] Speaker B: Do you still have a hero point? [00:42:25] Speaker C: I don't know. I don't think so. Sorry. I'm just gonna keep sucking this. This. [00:42:31] Speaker A: No, it's fine. I. Now at least I don't have to look up the rules for interrupting a spell. So she disappears. Isn't that fun? [00:42:42] Speaker D: She poops and disappears. [00:42:45] Speaker A: Big steaming pile of poop there. [00:42:47] Speaker B: She's turned into shit. Is she using the sneak action? [00:42:53] Speaker A: Nope. [00:42:54] Speaker B: Okay. [00:42:55] Speaker A: She's using a spell. [00:42:56] Speaker B: Okay. I just didn't know if she went invisible and then tried to use sneak to get away from us. Because if they're using stealth, they have to roll versus perception. If they. If she's not using stealth, then I think we can just hear her. [00:43:07] Speaker A: Uh, you can't. [00:43:08] Speaker B: Okay, well, fuck it. [00:43:12] Speaker C: Fuck this shit. I'm out. [00:43:15] Speaker A: All right. And that is the end of her turn. Knife, sword, you are up. Alright, next episode, you will be up to take your turn. [00:43:30] Speaker C: Hopefully I have a better chance. Rolling. Woo. [00:43:33] Speaker B: We'll have hero points. [00:43:34] Speaker D: Yeah, more hero points. [00:43:35] Speaker B: I'll still have no hit points though.
