Welcome to the 72nd episode of the Crack Die podcast.
[00:04:11] Speaker B: Hooray. I'm still here.
[00:04:14] Speaker C: For now. We're all still alive.
[00:04:16] Speaker A: Yep, I'm working on that.
[00:04:19] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:04:19] Speaker D: Why you do this? We already lost so much in this jungle.
[00:04:24] Speaker A: I know. I'm just trying to make it a clean sweep.
[00:04:26] Speaker D: Oh, boy.
[00:04:28] Speaker A: Right. I. When we last left, you guys had finally. Well, first off, you encountered some half orcs that you talked to and hung out with and had a great rager.
Woke up the next morning with a hangover.
[00:04:44] Speaker B: Before that. Before that, we sent some birds over this way.
[00:04:47] Speaker A: Yep, you did send some birds over this way. And I will tell you this now, there were eight swamp sears on this map. Initially, I rolled a d. Four of what they. The birds ate on their way over, and I rolled the four. So there's only four left, which, you know, I figured since you guys did so well with that, I give you a little bonus on this area.
[00:05:15] Speaker B: That's a great way to get some xp.
[00:05:17] Speaker A: Yeah, right? And then with your hangover, you were like, you know what? Let's go raid this fortress. Twin Talon was the brave one to try and go open the door when he did a prehistoric alligator.
Dionikus. Nope, nope, nope. Dinosuccus deinosuccus decided to go for a jaunty lunch and decided to make twin talon. That lunch bit him, tried to drag him under, but thanks to knife sword casting darkness in a sphere around the creature, he could not drag twin talon under. Saraya noticed that there were some boggart swamp seers on the roof, deciding to shoot down at them. And Brianna did something with her first turn. Do you remember what it was?
[00:06:11] Speaker D: No. Cause you keep interrupting me.
[00:06:13] Speaker A: I know you used one action. You got two left.
[00:06:16] Speaker B: She shot her spikes from her shield.
[00:06:18] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. She shot her spikes. Shiny new toy with her shiny new shield.
[00:06:23] Speaker B: 105 or 6105.
[00:06:26] Speaker A: And now I then, like normal, interrupted her turn to end the episode. It is now the rest of Brianna's turn. You have two actions left.
[00:06:38] Speaker D: I want to shoot again.
[00:06:41] Speaker A: All right, I'm.
[00:06:42] Speaker D: I'm not over this awesome shield.
[00:06:45] Speaker A: All right, well, remember, the spikes don't only replenish at the start of the day, so.
[00:06:51] Speaker D: That's okay. I have three more, and I. All righty, let's see. Do. Do do, do, do this one. Roll. How's it 21?
[00:07:02] Speaker A: 21 will hit.
[00:07:07] Speaker D: Okay. There's.
[00:07:09] Speaker A: Yeah, I just a regular hit.
[00:07:11] Speaker D: All right, cool. Um, let's say she's focusing fire. Continuing firing on the Bagrat.
[00:07:17] Speaker A: She can see the one that you sickened. Three.
[00:07:21] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:07:21] Speaker A: He deserves it.
[00:07:22] Speaker B: Or spike. Right in the stomach.
[00:07:24] Speaker D: What was it again? It was just two. Yeah, I guess I rolled poorly.
Six.
[00:07:32] Speaker A: Four and a two. Another six points. You have one more action.
[00:07:37] Speaker D: So since this is a brand spanking new episode, how about we do a quick refresher as to how deep the water ahead is and if these roots that are currently coming up the water, are they higher up? Are they jump up able across? That is a word. Jump up, up, up.
[00:07:57] Speaker B: I think so.
[00:07:58] Speaker A: Yes, exactly.
[00:07:59] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:07:59] Speaker A: Makes sense.
[00:08:00] Speaker B: Jump up a ball.
[00:08:02] Speaker A: First off, since it's a new episode, the first thing I would like to do is award everyone a single hero point.
[00:08:09] Speaker D: Yay.
[00:08:09] Speaker A: Twin Talon will need it soon.
[00:08:11] Speaker B: Yep. Not that I can use it in defense, but yes.
[00:08:14] Speaker A: So that's the first thing. Second thing, the water is 5ft deep so you could swim. However, if you wanted to jump up onto a route, I'll say you can move. It'll be difficult to rain. Climb up to it and then you can move across them if they're within a five foot square of each other.
[00:08:37] Speaker D: Hmm. Okay. So if she were to say move here southeast, southwest to basically try and climb up on these roots because it looks like this is connected.
[00:08:49] Speaker A: Yes. But each square is 10ft of movement. So you know. Right. Because of.
[00:08:53] Speaker D: I'm just kind of showing her trajectory.
[00:08:55] Speaker A: Yeah. You could absolutely climb that way carefully. And it's difficult terrain because the roots are a little wet and you know, you're carefully having to navigate through there without going into the water.
[00:09:05] Speaker D: Okay. So I think she would just make it there then.
[00:09:09] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:09] Speaker D: That would be her turn.
[00:09:10] Speaker A: So you move. What is that? Southeast a little bit and then you manage to start climbing on to the roots.
[00:09:20] Speaker D: Right. My hope is to get to twin Talon so she can aid him with some battlefield medicine. Yeah.
[00:09:26] Speaker A: Yeah. Now to the top of the round. It is one of the boggarts tries.
[00:09:34] Speaker D: And do they tell us we smell like elderberries?
[00:09:38] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:09:39] Speaker D: We're hamsters.
[00:09:40] Speaker B: We have already got one.
[00:09:41] Speaker A: Something like that.
[00:09:43] Speaker D: Thank you my love, for picking up.
[00:09:45] Speaker B: What I was putting down the whole grow action.
[00:09:47] Speaker A: First off, from out of the darkness you see a cloud appear.
One could say that it is a cloud of obscuring mist.
[00:10:08] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:10:09] Speaker B: The only good thing about this is Temma isn't here to roll four consecutive ones on his heel checks to heal us.
[00:10:17] Speaker A: And just so you know, you should be able to see a grayish, obscuring mist. So that's the first two actions. Oh no, that's three actions.
Knife. Sword. Dark hole. Seagull teeth. It is your turn.
[00:10:37] Speaker E: Okay. All right, I'm good. Gonna pull. See if I can still do this. I'm gonna.
I'm gonna do this one this way first.
[00:10:50] Speaker A: Okay, so. Oh my goodness. That is a gravity well.
[00:10:56] Speaker D: Get em.
[00:10:56] Speaker C: It's a great trick to know.
[00:11:00] Speaker A: I need to make DC 26 reflex save. Okay, so let's start with the dinosucus reflex save.
[00:11:12] Speaker B: 16 bonus.
[00:11:14] Speaker E: Suck it, dinosuchus.
[00:11:15] Speaker B: That's right.
[00:11:16] Speaker A: He's a 33, so he saves on a success. He only moves 5ft towards the middle, but that's 5ft away from Mentalan. Now the first swamp seal critically fails and the other one fails. So the critical failure one moves 30ft towards the center.
[00:11:40] Speaker B: So where exactly is this centered for people who can't see the map?
[00:11:44] Speaker A: Oh yes.
[00:11:45] Speaker E: It looks like on the wall maybe. I don't know where the fort is exactly.
[00:11:49] Speaker A: Yeah, so you kind of centered it at the front door of the fortress here. So 30ft, 515. And that's 20ft down. So how much damage is that again?
[00:12:03] Speaker B: 1010 for 20 foot falls. Ten damage.
[00:12:06] Speaker A: Yeah, take ten damage from falling. 25. It falls into the dinosuchus, which means it takes. The dinosuchus takes five points of damage.
[00:12:19] Speaker B: That's it. Pelt him with boggarts. That's how we're gonna kill this guy.
[00:12:24] Speaker A: The deinosuchus is going to use its reaction to snap at the boggard.
[00:12:32] Speaker B: Wow, I'm glad I didn't stab it.
[00:12:35] Speaker A: Let's see. That is a critical success.
[00:12:38] Speaker E: I like dominoes.
[00:12:41] Speaker A: It does 46 points of damage which kills the boggard.
[00:12:48] Speaker B: So it just snaps it in half.
[00:12:50] Speaker A: Yeah. Yum yum, yum, yum, yum. And then the one that regular fail moves 20 moves 15ft. Sorry, 15. It's pulled to the edge above knife. Sorta. Would you like to ruin my day in any other way?
[00:13:07] Speaker E: Guess I could move. Would that hurt?
[00:13:10] Speaker B: Just remember, the obscuring mist is concealment. So we can't see out of it and they can't see into it.
[00:13:16] Speaker E: Right. I'm gonna move myself here, there, and then I'm done.
[00:13:20] Speaker A: All right, next up is boggard that was pulled towards the dinosaur. All right, so I'm making a targeted attack against Brianna. All right, maybe. So let's roll a D 20, see if I get a five.
I do. I get a nine.
And then I'm going to attack. There's a 28. Hit your ac.
[00:13:50] Speaker D: It does not.
[00:13:52] Speaker A: So this green arrow flies out of this creature's hands and it splatters against your armor for no effect.
[00:14:02] Speaker D: Can we say shield? Cause it was up, even though I don't technically have it. You know what I mean?
[00:14:07] Speaker B: You know what I mean?
[00:14:08] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:14:08] Speaker D: She was using it previously.
[00:14:10] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. So it bounces off of your shield, splattering against it. No effect.
[00:14:15] Speaker D: Gross.
[00:14:16] Speaker A: Then moves away from the edge of the cliff because it saw what happened to its pal. If it falls, it is the Deino suckus's turn. So the first action is the Deinosuccus dives underwater.
[00:14:33] Speaker B: Okay. He left running away like a coward.
[00:14:36] Speaker D: I wouldn't be so sure.
[00:14:39] Speaker A: Has a swim speed of that.
All right, so it has moved and.
[00:14:49] Speaker D: It'S going to take a nap.
[00:14:50] Speaker C: Right? I just had a meal.
[00:14:52] Speaker A: Yeah. Have any of you ever had frog legs? It's an appetizer at best.
[00:14:58] Speaker D: Depends what you've eaten previously to that.
[00:15:00] Speaker A: True.
[00:15:01] Speaker B: Okay, so twin Talon will continue. He has, for some reason, gone blind, so he's trying to get back to his friends. So we'll continue his stealthy swimming. Okay, I'm guessing the green line is where. The green line you have here.
[00:15:13] Speaker A: That's land. Yeah, the green line is land.
[00:15:16] Speaker B: So do I have to swim all the way to there?
[00:15:17] Speaker A: Or you could pull yourself up onto the root for an action, and then you could move along the route in difficult terrain if you'd like not to swim.
[00:15:28] Speaker D: Should I be calling out to him? Because that was my whole point, to try and get him?
[00:15:32] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[00:15:33] Speaker D: Twintellon. Yeah.
[00:15:35] Speaker B: Okay, so Twintalon will move toward where he thinks his party is, southwest. He jumps up on the. Or, he pulls himself up on the roots. And now instead of everything being black, everything is white. He's just, like, blinking and he sees, like, shapes. Like, you can see shapes now, like, rubbing his eyes, and he's actually going to just jump to land.
[00:15:54] Speaker D: Okay, I just want to know which.
[00:15:56] Speaker C: One cast it because clearly it wasn't one that died.
[00:15:58] Speaker B: That's a good, good call. Okay, so he's just gonna jump directly next to Soraya. This is second action. So for his third action, he's going to basically unstow the bag of holdings so we can get to it next time.
[00:16:11] Speaker A: All right. It is now one of the boggard's turns. And. And let's see if it makes its targeted check nine. It does. And does a 28 hit. Twin talent.
[00:16:25] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:16:26] Speaker A: You leap to land. As you land on the land, land, a green, acidic arrow hits you in the back. It's not a real arrow, it's a acid arrow. For 18 points of damage, minus ten.
[00:16:42] Speaker B: All right, thank you.
[00:16:43] Speaker D: Because that was the whole point of Brianna going in that direction was to get to you and she saw that.
[00:16:49] Speaker B: You leapt right past her like, oh.
[00:16:52] Speaker C: Hey, she just yoinks you out of the air.
[00:16:58] Speaker A: All right, Saraya, it is.
[00:17:04] Speaker B: I get to step.
[00:17:05] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. Right, right.
[00:17:07] Speaker B: So I'm going to move my 10ft back here behind seagull team.
[00:17:11] Speaker A: Right? Make him the target.
[00:17:12] Speaker D: Ooh, best shield.
[00:17:13] Speaker B: Mm hmm.
[00:17:14] Speaker D: What?
[00:17:14] Speaker B: He's the largest one here. I'm pretty sure I heard him say so.
[00:17:21] Speaker A: It is now Saraya's turn.
[00:17:24] Speaker C: So I'm gonna give Jasper his actions so he can fly and tie off the rope.
[00:17:29] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:17:30] Speaker C: So yeah, he's gonna fly across to, I guess, like where the wall or the door is and just tie off the rope.
[00:17:36] Speaker A: All right. Yep. Jasper makes it to here and with his little dexterous, creepy hand things, he starts to tie off the rope.
[00:17:47] Speaker C: Those are his two actions like fly and tie.
[00:17:49] Speaker A: Yes, yes.
[00:17:51] Speaker B: Is he tying it to the door?
[00:17:52] Speaker A: It's tying it to a door. Those are giant doors, by the way. So that was one action to give Jasper two actions.
[00:18:02] Speaker C: The 50ft of rope that I had that Jasper is now tied. Can I like get in the water? Like hand over hand my way through without having to make an athletics check?
[00:18:12] Speaker A: So let me ask how, where is the other end of the rope tied to? Is it just dangling on the ground or floating in the water or is it.
[00:18:22] Speaker C: No, I will tie. I guess I'll take an action and tie it to a root.
[00:18:25] Speaker A: A root or a tree. Do you want to like shimmy above the water or do you want to like pull yourself through the water?
[00:18:32] Speaker C: I mean, if I can get into a tree and tie it, that'll probably take my last two actions.
[00:18:36] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. One action to climb and then climb. One action to move, one action to climb. And the next turn you can tie and then you guys could shimmy across the water without going into it.
[00:18:49] Speaker C: Sound good to everybody?
[00:18:51] Speaker B: Sure.
[00:18:51] Speaker E: I don't like heights.
[00:18:52] Speaker C: I'm too far away to just like climb right up here. I don't really know where the tree trunks are.
[00:18:56] Speaker A: That's fine.
[00:18:57] Speaker B: I have this, this vision of at some point, knife sword getting like enlarged and him freaking out cause he's so high off the ground. He's scared of heights.
[00:19:05] Speaker C: That would be adorable.
[00:19:07] Speaker A: Is he scared of heights or birds or.
[00:19:08] Speaker B: Yes, he just said he didn't like heights.
[00:19:11] Speaker A: Oh well. Brianna, it is now your turn.
[00:19:16] Speaker D: Well, gonna continue what I was previously trying to do and I'll head towards twin Talon and battle medicine.
[00:19:26] Speaker A: Yes, that's perfectly fine.
[00:19:28] Speaker B: I like it.
[00:19:29] Speaker A: Cool.
[00:19:29] Speaker C: Twin Talon approved.
[00:19:31] Speaker A: Go ahead and roll your medicine. Check.
[00:19:34] Speaker B: So if I was a pizza, I wouldn't quite be half eaten, but.
[00:19:38] Speaker D: Yep, yep, yep, yep. So just to refresh, I roll for a medicine check. It's DC 15.
[00:19:47] Speaker A: Yep, yep.
[00:19:48] Speaker D: DC 1522. So I do make it nice.
[00:19:52] Speaker A: Two d eight.
[00:19:54] Speaker D: Were there bonuses to that, or am I thinking something else?
[00:19:58] Speaker A: Yeah, if you quit, it's four d eight. And if you become an expert, it's plus ten, right?
[00:20:04] Speaker D: How's 14?
[00:20:05] Speaker B: That's pretty darn good.
[00:20:07] Speaker A: One action to move, one action to heal.
[00:20:09] Speaker D: And how's he looking? Does it look like he needs to be topped up?
[00:20:14] Speaker B: He definitely could use some more healing.
[00:20:16] Speaker A: Yes, but remember, you can only use battle medicine once.
[00:20:19] Speaker D: Yes, but I have lay on hands.
[00:20:22] Speaker B: Ooh, she's a champion after all.
[00:20:24] Speaker D: So for my final action, I want to perform lay on hands, which is something that previously I didn't get a whole bunch of opportunities to use since we had a dedicated healer. So let's do it. Twin Talon, you get 24 healing points back.
[00:20:41] Speaker B: Awesome. My pizza is almost full.
[00:20:43] Speaker C: Excellent.
[00:20:44] Speaker A: Gross.
[00:20:44] Speaker D: And that'll be my turn. I moved I battlefield medicine and I slapped it with some good old fashioned sarenrae healing light. I cauterized your runes, so to speak.
[00:20:55] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:20:56] Speaker A: All right.
[00:20:56] Speaker B: With holy light, considering you negated ten hit points of damage to me and then also healed 30. And I'm not topped off, that's. I mean, when I say 30, I mean 40. Actually. 40. So.
[00:21:06] Speaker E: Good lord.
[00:21:08] Speaker A: So one of the boggards. It's the boggart's turn. And it hops away out of your sight.
[00:21:15] Speaker D: Oh boy. He's gonna sound the alarm.
[00:21:17] Speaker B: Maybe.
[00:21:17] Speaker A: Knife sword. It is your turn.
[00:21:19] Speaker E: Hmm.
I was having fun with the gravity. I think I'll do that again.
[00:21:24] Speaker D: Is that a cantrip, Rob?
[00:21:25] Speaker A: No, no, it might as well be.
[00:21:29] Speaker C: Can you imagine?
[00:21:30] Speaker A: That would be horrifying the way knife sword uses it, it is. All right, so gravity well again, Jasper is not in it. So I'm gonna. I'm gonna peel back the curtain real quick.
[00:21:43] Speaker B: Tell me, tell me. It rips the crocodile out of the water, right?
[00:21:47] Speaker A: No, but I would like to show you on the map where the crocodile is as opposed to where the center point of this gravity well is.
[00:21:58] Speaker B: He'S under it. Awesome.
[00:22:00] Speaker A: He is. He is already in the middle. So I don't think he has to roll because he's already at the center.
[00:22:05] Speaker B: Well, it's a sphere.
[00:22:06] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. Oh, he's gonna get pulled up into the air. Yeah.
[00:22:10] Speaker B: Or at the very least out of the water.
[00:22:11] Speaker A: Okay. All right, all right. Let's. Let's make that reflex save. He makes it with a 28. Let's see how the boggarts do. I'm going to give you all spoiler alert. They're probably not gonna roll well considering how their bonus is.
[00:22:27] Speaker B: Plus six that 1 second.
[00:22:29] Speaker A: So a ten is a critical fail.
And the second one is a nine, which is also a critical fail.
[00:22:39] Speaker E: Time to feed the crocodile.
[00:22:41] Speaker A: So the first Boggard falls 20ft, taking ten damage, which almost kills it as it slams in to the dinosucus for five more points of damage. I just want to point out that the boggarts falling on the creature have done more damage than you guys have done to it.
[00:23:03] Speaker B: I think it's only damage I tried to hit it.
[00:23:05] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then the other Boggart falls and gets pulled into Deinosuchus and deals another five points of damage to that. And then the tiny suckers will take its reaction to snap at the second one. Oh my goodness. That's a critical.
[00:23:26] Speaker B: Please use all of your criticals on these guys.
[00:23:29] Speaker A: These jerks takes one d eight. Persistent bleed. I honestly don't think that's going to necessarily come into play when you do. 21 points of damage doubled for 42, which is more than the boggard had to begin with. So that boggard is now dead and the other boggard is croaking for its life. Would you like to do anything else with your last action knife sword?
[00:23:58] Speaker E: I'm gonna contemplate my future.
[00:24:00] Speaker A: Okay. It is now the deinosuchus turn. It pops up and snapped snaps at the boggard that is trying to swim away. Oh, I just rolled damage. Let me actually roll to hit.
[00:24:14] Speaker B: That's probably fine.
[00:24:15] Speaker A: Yeah, probably about right. Oh wait, I rolled a two. So that's a total of 24 that will still hit. And the diosuckus eats the last boggard. And then you see it start to swim away.
[00:24:34] Speaker C: If all the buggers are dead, does the upstairs mist poop?
[00:24:37] Speaker B: It does not. I checked that out. Duration is 1 minute.
[00:24:40] Speaker A: Well, I will say unless you would like to pursue the dinosaur, combat is over.
[00:24:45] Speaker C: Let's say we're going after that sweet, sweet XP.
[00:24:48] Speaker B: Um, I think we should not fight it in the water, see if we.
[00:24:54] Speaker C: Can figure where the boggarts were.
[00:24:56] Speaker B: What's that?
[00:24:56] Speaker C: Maybe if we see if we can get where the boggarts were.
[00:24:59] Speaker B: Yeah. If we can pelt it from above where it can't do anything to us, then yes. But I have no desire. As much as I would love to kill the dinosaurs, I have no desire to fight it in the water. And I think that just avoiding like and surviving and avoiding the encounter, we probably get the XP anyway. But character wise, I have no desire to swim after that crocodile. I almost got bitten half by it. No thanks.
[00:25:22] Speaker C: We have the rope set up so we can all shimmy across.
[00:25:25] Speaker B: Okay, so before we do that, can we take a little bit of time?
[00:25:29] Speaker A: Sure. No, yeah, absolutely. You can take all the time you want.
[00:25:33] Speaker B: I don't like the way you said that. Yeah, I would just like to take ten minutes. Can we take ten minutes?
[00:25:39] Speaker A: Okay. What would you like to do in those ten minutes, Saraya?
[00:25:43] Speaker C: Well, first off, I'm definitely calling Jasper back. I'm not leaving him over there on his phone.
[00:25:47] Speaker A: All right, so Jasper comes flitting back to you.
[00:25:51] Speaker C: I gotta like keep watch and make sure that no one is. Cause no one else is coming up on the ramparts or anything.
[00:25:57] Speaker A: All right, so while you're. You're just chilling, get an eye out.
[00:26:02] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm not chilling. I am vigilant.
[00:26:05] Speaker A: All right, Haya, what would you like to do?
[00:26:08] Speaker D: Brianna is hoping to spend ten minutes to pray to Sarenrae and give thanks for her healing abilities and refocus that spell point or the focus point that she used.
[00:26:21] Speaker A: All right, Matt, what will twin talon be?
[00:26:24] Speaker B: Well, twin Talon will probably borrow Brianna's healing kit and try to medicine himself.
[00:26:30] Speaker A: Okay, there is an extra set of healing gloves now.
[00:26:33] Speaker B: Oh sure. I'll put them on specifically for this purpose. I don't.
[00:26:37] Speaker A: Okay, so make your roll. Add a plus one.
[00:26:40] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:26:41] Speaker A: And knife, sword. What will you be doing these ten minutes?
[00:26:45] Speaker E: I'm gonna lean back, relax, chew on a chicken bone and uh, yeah, just sort of contemplate my future.
[00:26:52] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:26:53] Speaker C: Just vibing.
[00:26:54] Speaker A: I made a perception roll for Soraya. Twintalon, what did you roll for? Your medicine, chef.
[00:27:00] Speaker B: I got a 21 which will succeed at DC of 15 since I am just trained and that does nine healing which is more than enough to top me up.
[00:27:09] Speaker A: Great. So ten minutes pass. Brianna, you get your focus point back.
[00:27:14] Speaker D: Excellent.
[00:27:14] Speaker A: Saraya, you do not see anything and you are fairly confident that there is nothing happening. Okay, what are y'all doing?
[00:27:22] Speaker C: Are we ready?
[00:27:23] Speaker E: I'll stay here. I mean, I'll stay here.
[00:27:27] Speaker D: And do what from here.
[00:27:29] Speaker E: You guys go ahead. I'll recompense back here. Yeah, that's it. I'll recompense the situation.
[00:27:37] Speaker D: No, you're coming with us.
[00:27:39] Speaker E: No, no, no. That's. That's. That's just, you know, that's fine. You don't need me up there.
[00:27:45] Speaker B: These. These people took you hostage and forced you to.
To work against your will. They almost killed you. Don't you want to take your revenge, your. Your justice?
[00:27:57] Speaker E: Well, if they come out here, of course, yes.
[00:27:59] Speaker C: But no more salted dragon organs for you.
[00:28:01] Speaker E: I would rather stay here. I.
Yeah, I mean, if, you know, if you want to take a boat or something.
[00:28:10] Speaker B: Okay. Actually, you know what? That's fine. Just keep an eye out for that giant crocodile, and if it gets you, just scream really loud, and hopefully we'll be able to get back in time.
[00:28:21] Speaker D: Would you do it for a knife? Horse neck.
[00:28:27] Speaker E: You got some more of that orc beer?
I need a lot of it.
[00:28:32] Speaker D: Get him completely trash to come and play.
[00:28:35] Speaker B: I do have a. We do have mugs of infinite alcohol.
[00:28:38] Speaker C: It's true.
[00:28:39] Speaker A: I do have a mug of infinite alcohol.
[00:28:42] Speaker E: Let me have it.
[00:28:43] Speaker D: Would you come with us?
[00:28:44] Speaker C: I don't think you can have the mug. I think we can fill something from the mug.
[00:28:48] Speaker E: I'm gonna rip a piece of cloth off my raggy rags and just blindfold myself so I don't have to see.
[00:28:56] Speaker B: All right, that's fine.
[00:28:57] Speaker D: How about I put you on my shoulder?
[00:29:00] Speaker B: Yes. Why don't you just hold on to her?
[00:29:02] Speaker E: All right. Not gonna look. Don't tell me when we're up there.
[00:29:04] Speaker C: Just.
[00:29:05] Speaker D: Just climb on my back. Come on. I'll carry you.
[00:29:10] Speaker C: That's a thing?
[00:29:11] Speaker B: Is that a babylonian carving? What is that? Well, hang on.
[00:29:14] Speaker A: Come on, man. I have box text to read. I am excited about my box.
[00:29:18] Speaker B: Okay, sorry. Sorry. I understand how that goes. Please box text away.
[00:29:23] Speaker A: So, as you enter this giant fortress, the interior walls of this hallway are covered with six inch wooden spikes carved to resemble dragons teeth. Along the north wall stands four wooden doors, and a statue of a humanoid dragon stands in the center of the room. You see no visible lights, no torches, nothing. But somehow there is a strange glow in the room itself.
[00:29:57] Speaker B: Okay, twintallon, we're in exploration mode, right?
[00:30:01] Speaker A: You are in exploration mode.
[00:30:03] Speaker B: And twin Talon is going to do whatever. Is it, seek or search? Looking for traps. Basically. I'm looking for traps.
[00:30:08] Speaker C: I think I'm going to investigate with our culture to see what's going on with the statue and or the lighting source?
[00:30:14] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:30:14] Speaker D: Rihanna, I think she's gonna go to her trusty guarding and knife sword.
[00:30:22] Speaker E: Um, I'm gonna do an art cult roll, see if I recognize anything from the statue.
[00:30:28] Speaker B: Okay, that's good.
[00:30:29] Speaker A: Good answer. Good answer. Good answer.
[00:30:33] Speaker E: Followed by lighting the room on fire.
[00:30:36] Speaker D: Good fool. Oh, boy.
[00:30:37] Speaker B: What is this? Divinity.
[00:30:38] Speaker C: He's cleansing it.
[00:30:40] Speaker B: Anyway, some of you out there get that.
[00:30:43] Speaker D: Mm hmm. Especially playing with Rob. What?
Okay, okay, that's me.
[00:30:51] Speaker E: Oh, wait, that was Arcana. The wrong one.
I should have kept the arcana.
[00:31:00] Speaker A: So, twin Talon.
[00:31:02] Speaker B: Mm hmm.
[00:31:02] Speaker A: As you are searching. What? Oh, I should roll that for you.
[00:31:07] Speaker B: Yes. It is a secret perception.
[00:31:08] Speaker A: Everyone. Everyone gets secret checks. So let me. Let me actually.
Well, you're making a knowledge, right?
[00:31:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:31:16] Speaker A: Okay. Knowledge. You can roll yourself. Okay, Brianna, you're defending a knife sword is knowledgeing. So 34. You. What's the thing on hold? There we go. Cool. So a lot of things happen all at once.
Twin Talon, you are moving up slowly to investigate for traps. And as you look, you notice that the clay golem in front of you is indeed alive.
[00:31:49] Speaker B: You mean the statue?
[00:31:50] Speaker A: Just the statue is a golem, and it is alive. And Saraya, at the same moment, you realize that that is a clay golem meant to defend the temple with Brianna having her shield raised. Knife, sword. You are distracted by the fact that you just went over something high, maybe lowering your fear of heights. Maybe not. But you are so proud of yourself.
[00:32:18] Speaker E: Kissing the floor.
[00:32:20] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:32:21] Speaker B: Land.
[00:32:22] Speaker A: Mmm.
[00:32:23] Speaker B: Sweet ground.
[00:32:24] Speaker A: But the golem sees all of you and moves right as you recognize the danger, not giving it an attack before you can do things.
[00:32:35] Speaker C: Oh, thank God.
[00:32:36] Speaker E: At least.
[00:32:36] Speaker A: So everyone, roll initiative.
[00:32:38] Speaker D: And here I thought we could be friends.
[00:32:41] Speaker B: I want to say this Golem bothers me because he should either be medium or huge. The area that he's in is three squares across, and he's large, which is two squares, which means he's off center.
[00:32:52] Speaker A: Yes. That bothers me as well.
[00:32:55] Speaker D: Your monk is showing.
As my favorite golem. Golem would say. Pigeon crab.
People out there are loving this.
[00:33:06] Speaker B: We believe you.
[00:33:07] Speaker A: Oh, I rolled.
[00:33:08] Speaker C: Crap. It's an 18.
[00:33:09] Speaker A: Okay, quintalent, you get to go first.
[00:33:13] Speaker B: Hooray. So it hasn't gone yet. So it doesn't have an attack.
So I'm gonna take the advantage of the fact that it's still pulling itself. I imagine it's like in the cartoons. Like, it's like pulling itself free. Like its feet, like, burst up a little bit as it's gonna take its first steps.
[00:33:30] Speaker A: So, yes, as you were moving to investigate, you triggered it, and it's starting to pull itself out of the wall.
[00:33:37] Speaker B: All right, so Twintalen will then move to get kind of behind it, at least opposite, so Brianna can take a step and be flanking, and then he will attack it.
It is flat footed, for whatever that's worth.
I don't feel like slashing damage is going to be super great versus this clay golem, but 32 to hit.
[00:34:00] Speaker A: 32 will hit. Regular hit.
[00:34:06] Speaker B: Regular hit. Okay, now, is it susceptible to precision damage?
[00:34:11] Speaker A: I'm looking.
[00:34:12] Speaker B: Actually, I think it is. Most things aren't anymore, but I just want to make sure.
[00:34:18] Speaker A: Yep, you are. Good. Go.
[00:34:21] Speaker B: Okay, so 25 slashing damage. As Twintellen kind of rolls behind, it slashes at its stone ankles. Stankles.
[00:34:34] Speaker A: And what type of weapon are you?
[00:34:35] Speaker B: It is a slice. A dog slicer. It's a goblin dog slicer. So from the number that popped up, I'm guessing it didn't.
[00:34:43] Speaker A: It didn't all go through.
[00:34:44] Speaker B: Didn't all go through, no.
All right, then I am going to use my. My last action of the turn to.
So this is not a dog's list. This is a shifting weapon.
[00:35:03] Speaker A: Yes, it is.
[00:35:04] Speaker B: So it is one action, interact. Action. And I can make it the shape of a different weapon.
[00:35:11] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:35:13] Speaker B: But I'm gonna have to. So I was not prepared for this. I apologize.
[00:35:20] Speaker A: It's okay.
[00:35:21] Speaker B: Because I need to find a weapon that I can use to get sneak attack damage. That's probably bludgeoning with my best. Best bet.
Yeah, I'm thinking it's gotta be bludgeoning to bust up stone people.
Exactly.
[00:35:39] Speaker D: Sorry, I have to.
[00:35:41] Speaker B: When you attack with a finesse, Mandy.
Finesse.
[00:35:47] Speaker A: Well, you're. Oh.
[00:35:48] Speaker B: Oh. Light mace.
[00:35:49] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:35:51] Speaker B: It's agile finesse.
[00:35:52] Speaker A: And that's.
[00:35:53] Speaker B: And it's bludgeoning. So.
[00:35:55] Speaker A: So that's your last action, is to change it?
[00:35:59] Speaker B: Yeah, that's my last.
[00:36:00] Speaker A: It's now the golems turn, so it's going to swivel around and try and fist you in the face.
[00:36:10] Speaker B: So I try to kiss. Trying to what? Me in the face.
[00:36:12] Speaker A: Fist you?
[00:36:13] Speaker B: Fist me. Mmm. I'm not into fisting. Just step off, buddy.
[00:36:17] Speaker A: Does a 44 hit you?
[00:36:20] Speaker B: Oh, come on.
[00:36:22] Speaker A: Well, I rolled a natural 20, so that's a crit, right?
[00:36:27] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:36:29] Speaker D: But is it named Jimmy?
[00:36:32] Speaker A: You're gonna take 32 points of damage.
I'm sorry, 36 points of damage. 18 times 36.
[00:36:41] Speaker D: I can't liberate him, can I?
[00:36:43] Speaker A: Nope. Hey, Matt.
Can you make a fortitude save?
[00:36:49] Speaker B: I could.
[00:36:50] Speaker A: You sure?
[00:36:51] Speaker B: It's not reflex. I'm good at this.
[00:36:52] Speaker A: Oh, I'm sure.
[00:36:54] Speaker B: 30. 318.
[00:36:55] Speaker A: So hopefully that saves you do save. All right, that was its first action. It's second action. It's just gonna. It's going to swivel around again and it's gonna swivel around and go to punch Brienne.
[00:37:13] Speaker D: All right, bring it, boy.
[00:37:14] Speaker A: Oh, I will.
[00:37:15] Speaker B: It's already been brought in, I believe is the 21.
Wait, what is your ac with your shield up since you were defending?
[00:37:25] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:37:27] Speaker D: I believe 31.
[00:37:30] Speaker B: Yeah, it is.
[00:37:31] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:37:33] Speaker A: That's a critical miss then. Ooh.
[00:37:35] Speaker B: And all characters draw Christmas cards now.
[00:37:39] Speaker A: Oh. Oh no. This is the Christmas card I've been waiting for.
[00:37:44] Speaker C: Oh no.
[00:37:45] Speaker D: Oh, is it one of our patrons?
[00:37:47] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:37:47] Speaker B: Then you know it's bad.
[00:37:49] Speaker A: No, I know. This one is great. This is from David. Called divine intervention.
[00:37:56] Speaker C: No no.
[00:37:57] Speaker A: You swing with so much force that your opponent ducks. Your momentum spins you around and you connect with your enemy with such force that you may draw a crit hit card and do that instead.
[00:38:11] Speaker B: What?
[00:38:11] Speaker D: What the fuck, David?
[00:38:15] Speaker B: I am speechless.
[00:38:16] Speaker A: It's called cracked knee until healed. Oh, cracked knee. Almost like cracked eye until healed. The target is clumsy too and takes a five foot status penalty to land speed. All right, and for its last action, it's going to try and punch Brianna again or attempt to 30.
[00:38:38] Speaker D: That will miss.
[00:38:39] Speaker A: All right, Brianna, it's your turn.
[00:38:45] Speaker D: Um, question before that.
[00:38:48] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:38:49] Speaker D: Do you take damage since you try to hit twice? My shield was up and it's a spiky shield.
[00:38:56] Speaker B: If you did shield block, you would have.
[00:38:59] Speaker A: Yeah, but you don't have reactions yet, so. Not yet. But now you have reactions. You do have reactions now because it is your turn. Yay.
[00:39:10] Speaker D: Yeah. Yay.
All right. I don't like this. This is absolute poo poo. Brianna is going to step up. So she is flanking with twin talon.
[00:39:27] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:39:28] Speaker D: And she's just gonna do what she. She knows what to do. Yes. Words are hard. Anyway, I'm just rolling a 29.
[00:39:36] Speaker A: That will hit.
[00:39:37] Speaker D: Excellent.
[00:39:38] Speaker B: And then I'd like to take a reaction when she's done.
[00:39:40] Speaker D: Take 1717.
[00:39:42] Speaker A: Points of damage. And what type of damage is that? Slashing.
[00:39:46] Speaker D: Yes. Yes.
[00:39:48] Speaker A: All right. Doesn't look like it all goes through.
[00:39:51] Speaker D: Cool cool cool.
[00:39:53] Speaker B: I'd like to take a reaction, please.
[00:39:56] Speaker A: I'll allow it because the rules tell me I have to.
[00:39:59] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:40:00] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:40:01] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:40:01] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:40:02] Speaker B: So I'm going to attack with the now light mace. So the. The attack will be the same. The damage will be slightly different. Okay, 34 versus flat footed ac.
[00:40:15] Speaker A: 34 versus its flat footed ac will still hit.
[00:40:20] Speaker C: Excellent.
[00:40:21] Speaker B: But not crit.
[00:40:22] Speaker A: But not crit.
[00:40:23] Speaker B: I don't know that I can crit on this thing. I rolled natural. 20. That was a 17.
Okay, which is 18 damage.
[00:40:32] Speaker A: All right. And this is bludgeoning.
[00:40:35] Speaker B: It's bludgeoning.
[00:40:37] Speaker A: Still doesn't look like it all goes through.
[00:40:38] Speaker D: What the shit?
[00:40:40] Speaker B: It's also cold iron. I don't know if that matters. It's a magic cold iron weapon.
[00:40:44] Speaker A: That's fine. It still doesn't all get.
[00:40:46] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:40:49] Speaker D: I guess I'll just keep going. I don't know what else to do. So I'll just strike again.
[00:40:56] Speaker A: All right.
[00:40:56] Speaker D: Actually, no. This would technically be my 3rd.
[00:40:59] Speaker B: 2Nd attack, second attack, third action, third act.
[00:41:02] Speaker D: Thank you. That's what I was trying to say.
[00:41:04] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:41:04] Speaker D: So I'm gonna do what I do best, and I will raise my shield.
I will flavor playing my scimitar against the shield itself. Just try and get him to attack me.
[00:41:17] Speaker A: All right, Saraya, it's your turn.
[00:41:20] Speaker C: She's gonna rub her hands together and pull out an acid flask.
[00:41:24] Speaker A: Okay, 31 to hit. 31 will hit.
[00:41:30] Speaker C: Okay, so this flask, filled with corrosive acid, deals one acid damage, two d, six persistent. Acid damage, and two acid splash. So I guess three off the bat.
[00:41:40] Speaker A: Three off the bat, and two persistent.
[00:41:44] Speaker C: Two d. Two d. Six persistent.
[00:41:50] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:41:51] Speaker B: I'm surprised.
[00:41:52] Speaker C: What?
[00:41:53] Speaker B: I don't know. Golems typically have a lot of elemental resistances.
[00:41:55] Speaker D: Right.
[00:41:56] Speaker A: So that was your first action?
[00:41:57] Speaker C: It seemed to, you know, that seemed to work decently well.
[00:42:02] Speaker A: Someone could try and identify.
[00:42:04] Speaker C: I think I'm gonna do that with my last action.
[00:42:07] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:42:09] Speaker C: There's some giggles. Cause I don't use it all that often. I think I'm gonna try.
[00:42:14] Speaker A: Oh. What? I'm so sorry.
I am so, so sorry.
[00:42:20] Speaker C: No, you're not. What is it?
[00:42:21] Speaker A: None of it. It looks like none of the damage was.
[00:42:23] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:42:23] Speaker A: Sorry, I missed the first line in its thing.
[00:42:27] Speaker C: Do I have any idea what that would be?
[00:42:29] Speaker A: No.
[00:42:30] Speaker C: Then I guess I will try to identify it next. Okay, what would that be?
[00:42:34] Speaker A: An Arcana 28. Arcana 28 will let you know one thing. This is a clay golem. We've already established that. What would you like to ask?
[00:42:44] Speaker C: What the fuck will hit this thing?
[00:42:47] Speaker A: All right, so, immunities.
It is immune to. Acid bleed, death effects, disease. Doomed. Drained. Fatigued. Healing. Magic. Mental necromancy. Non lethal attacks, paralyzation. Poison. Sickened, and unconsciousness. It has a resistance of physical attacks. Ten.
Except for adamantine, this also has golem antimagic as a passive immunity, meaning that it is harmed by specific types of magic. So it is harmed by cold and water. It is healed by acid magic.
[00:43:32] Speaker B: Oh, shit.
[00:43:33] Speaker A: Which is why I was wondering if her flask was actually magical and it is slowed by earth magic. A golem is immune to spells and magical abilities other than its own. But each type of golem golem is affected by a few types of magic in special weights. These exceptions are listed in a shortened form in the golem stat block, which I just read to you. Harmed by means. Any magic of this type that targets the golem causes it to take the listed amount of damage instead of the usual effect. Healed by heals it.
[00:44:09] Speaker C: If I were to use, like, a frost vial, would that do the frost vial damage, or, like, the harmed by damage?
[00:44:16] Speaker A: It's still not magical damage.
[00:44:17] Speaker C: Okay, so, like, literally anything except the one bomb that I threw would have affected this thing.
[00:44:22] Speaker A: Yes, but I was wondering. But that was. The other thing is I was looking. I was wondering if you're. I know they're not magic. I know they're not.
They do not have a magical trait. But then are they physical? No, they're not fit. They're not physical.
[00:44:38] Speaker C: No, I'm not hitting it with a weapon.
[00:44:39] Speaker A: Right, right. Okay, so, yeah, don't hit it with acid magic. Dark hole acid.
[00:44:46] Speaker C: Okay, so my third action, I'm gonna throw a frost vial.
[00:44:51] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:44:51] Speaker C: 24. Does that hit it?
[00:44:53] Speaker A: It will miss.
[00:44:54] Speaker C: Does it still take the two splash?
[00:44:55] Speaker A: It does still take the two splash. Yeah, that. That golem anti magic really made me have to read it a couple times. Oh. It is also vulnerable to the disintegrate spell, just so you know.
[00:45:08] Speaker B: Cool.
[00:45:10] Speaker A: Knife, sword, it is your turn. Hmm.
[00:45:13] Speaker B: The correct answer is, I cast disintegrate.
[00:45:15] Speaker D: Yes. Yep.
[00:45:16] Speaker E: I don't know. Disintegrate.
I'll do this one as acid damage.
[00:45:20] Speaker B: No, no, don't do that.
[00:45:22] Speaker D: Remember?
[00:45:23] Speaker E: No.
[00:45:24] Speaker C: No acid. Anything but acid.
[00:45:28] Speaker B: Healed by magical acid.
[00:45:29] Speaker E: I'm gonna cast chilling darkness. Okay, so utterly cold ray of darkness too, with unholy energy.
[00:45:37] Speaker A: So make an attack roll.
[00:45:38] Speaker E: How's that? Natural 2036.
[00:45:42] Speaker A: Okay, so you crit. Step one. Rob, draw your crit card.
[00:45:48] Speaker E: Okay. Okay. Spell or bomb? Hoarders wrath. Triple damage to dragons.
[00:45:55] Speaker A: Well, because this is in the shape of a dragon. Guess what?
[00:46:00] Speaker B: Nice.
[00:46:00] Speaker A: Okay, so since you did cold damage, it doesn't do the cold damage listed in your spell. It does five d, ten damage. Times two and times three.
[00:46:18] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. Oh man. Yeah.
[00:46:21] Speaker A: The target is not celestial. You're just doing five d ten. Just 29 times.
[00:46:28] Speaker C: Three times. Three times 387.
[00:46:31] Speaker A: Yes. That is 87 points of damage that all goes through.
And the clay column looks like garbage. Suddenly parts of it start to freeze and fall off. You have one more action, I believe.
[00:46:46] Speaker E: Magic missile.
[00:46:47] Speaker B: Okay, that doesn't do anything but good.
[00:46:50] Speaker C: Well, it's isn't, is it? Magic missile. Force. It's not immune to force forces.
[00:46:53] Speaker B: All magic except for.
[00:46:56] Speaker E: Yeah, well, what about, um, stupid.
[00:47:00] Speaker A: I was like, yes, this is going to be an epic combat because it's gonna take forever. Hahaha.
[00:47:07] Speaker E: And then you just wiped out like.
[00:47:09] Speaker C: Three quarters of its health.
[00:47:10] Speaker E: At least I'm gonna use mage hand and lick its nose.
[00:47:14] Speaker A: Okay.
Boing. As it. You flick it, it falls off because you froze it. Twin Talon, it is your turn. Okie dokie.
[00:47:24] Speaker B: Well, I'm not gonna do that because that was awesome. But I have something in my bag of tricks, so I am going to untip. First action, unstow the bag of holding.
[00:47:36] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:47:36] Speaker B: Second action, retrieve something from the bag of holding.
[00:47:39] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:47:40] Speaker B: Third action of holding.
[00:47:43] Speaker A: And what would that be?
[00:47:44] Speaker B: That would be a white dragon's breath potion.
[00:47:47] Speaker A: Oh, geez.
[00:47:48] Speaker B: Okay, which is a 15 foot coal.
[00:47:53] Speaker A: Okay. Does that get Rihanna?
[00:47:55] Speaker B: No, I can easily hit the golem and on anybody else.
[00:47:58] Speaker A: Oh yeah.
[00:47:59] Speaker B: Even, even if I didn't. Even if I blew it straight at her. Which is what you're showing there.
[00:48:03] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:48:08] Speaker B: He has to do a reflex save.
[00:48:10] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, well, you know what giant golems are great at, hopefully.
What would you like me not to beat?
[00:48:18] Speaker B: Um, I would like you to not beat 23.
[00:48:22] Speaker A: Okay. How's it 21?
[00:48:23] Speaker B: That is not 23.
[00:48:25] Speaker A: It is not.
[00:48:26] Speaker B: So was it five? D ten? Is that what it is?
[00:48:29] Speaker A: Uh, yep.
[00:48:31] Speaker B: 27. That goes straight through, I hope.
[00:48:34] Speaker A: Yep. Which is all goes through.
[00:48:38] Speaker B: 110. Two, four and 1027.
[00:48:41] Speaker A: Make sure you mark off that potion. That was what? Oh no, that was all three of your actions. It is the clay golems turn. And now that it is less than 50. Less than 50. Or if you're a hit, sees the air.
[00:48:55] Speaker B: If it's weighs and goes home, it.
[00:48:56] Speaker A: Needs to make a flat check. PC. Five.
[00:48:59] Speaker E: It begins to worship its short green God.
[00:49:02] Speaker B: All of these are good answers.
[00:49:04] Speaker A: It passes. So it's just gonna try and punch.
[00:49:07] Speaker C: Brianna, does it have like some like golem rage or something?
[00:49:11] Speaker A: It actually does have a golem rage ability. Okay, why is that 31?
[00:49:17] Speaker D: No, I know that is my ac.
[00:49:19] Speaker A: Alright, so it hits you.
[00:49:23] Speaker D: How about some reactive shields.
[00:49:26] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah. You can do that.
[00:49:28] Speaker A: Yeah, that's totally. And now you get.
[00:49:30] Speaker D: My shield was up.
[00:49:31] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:49:33] Speaker B: So you can do shield, shield block.
[00:49:35] Speaker D: All right.
[00:49:36] Speaker B: There's a hardness of six.
[00:49:37] Speaker A: Hardness of six? Yeah.
[00:49:39] Speaker B: So how much damage did it do is the question.
[00:49:40] Speaker A: So it did 23 points of damage.
The spines take the damage before the shield itself does.
[00:49:48] Speaker B: Right. But the hardness happens first. Okay, so 23 becomes 17 and then she has three spikes, which are 18 damage, which would then negate.
[00:49:57] Speaker D: And what damage does it go on?
[00:49:59] Speaker A: Taking turns? Probably nothing.
[00:50:01] Speaker B: It does not. It only works offensively if you use it like to shield bash with, but the spikes break off to basically prevent extra damage.
[00:50:09] Speaker A: So you take no damage and the.
[00:50:11] Speaker B: Shield takes no damage.
[00:50:12] Speaker A: Yeah, no one took damage on that turn. Then it's going to spin around and punch twin talonous.
[00:50:17] Speaker B: I don't consent 23 to hit misses.
[00:50:22] Speaker A: And then it looks at the creature that did the most damage to it and attempts to beat around the head and face region of Darkhold.
[00:50:34] Speaker D: Okay, I was gonna ask it something, something attack of opportunity, but it didn't move, so nevermind.
[00:50:40] Speaker B: And you did use your reaction to.
[00:50:43] Speaker A: 17 to hit?
[00:50:44] Speaker E: Thankfully, no.
[00:50:46] Speaker A: Right. This is a big turn of nothing for the golem, Brianna.
[00:50:51] Speaker D: I don't know what to do, frankly. I feel like I don't have anything that would necessarily.
[00:50:57] Speaker A: So it only reduces ten points of damage. So yes, even though you're. You were doing 18, you were only doing eight, but that still is nothing like.
[00:51:08] Speaker B: Right. And you've got it under 50. So every little chip, it's gonna chip, chip, chip away. Yeah, I'm gonna be right there with you. Next turn. I don't have anything else cold wise.
[00:51:16] Speaker A: Oh, oh.
[00:51:17] Speaker D: How about a nat 20 though?
[00:51:18] Speaker C: Yeah, see, like you can do that.
[00:51:20] Speaker D: Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Well, fuck you, Gollum.
Shattered jaw until healed, the target is wounded one and can't speak, eat, drink or make attacks with its jaws. I don't think it.
We. So let's do take 36 damage.
[00:51:40] Speaker A: No, I take 26 damage because it reduces the first ten. Would you like to describe your kill?
[00:51:47] Speaker D: Ah, good lord. Let's say using.
[00:51:52] Speaker C: May I suggest something?
[00:51:54] Speaker D: I don't know.
[00:51:56] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:51:56] Speaker C: We've all seen.
I think it was the second Thor movie, which despite being trash, did have that great where he just like throws his hammer and like uppercuts the guy so you shatter its jaw and it all just crumbles.
[00:52:09] Speaker D: Let's do that then.
[00:52:12] Speaker B: Little opening from the punch to seagull teeth left it vulnerable to the might of Soren Ray's hand.
[00:52:18] Speaker D: Yes, except it was with her scimitar. I don't know how this works.
[00:52:23] Speaker B: You are Sarenrae's hand, is what I was trying to say.
[00:52:25] Speaker A: Right.
[00:52:25] Speaker D: But we're talking about punching is anyway, stabbity stabs.
[00:52:29] Speaker A: So.
[00:52:31] Speaker E: Meow, meow.
[00:52:32] Speaker D: There we go.
[00:52:34] Speaker A: So with that, you take down the goal.
All right. So as you are looking around, you notice that there is. There are four doors here. So they're all to the north. There's one to the northwest, one to the north, another one to the north, and then one to the northeast.
[00:52:56] Speaker C: Yeah, it looks like there's, like, northwest. North, northwest, north, northeast, and northeast.
[00:53:00] Speaker B: Yep, looks like. So I would guess. And I might be, you know, what do I know? But the two middle ones look like they probably go to the same room, unless that's split down the middle. But, like, this room being the antechamber, like, it's pretty big. So I'm gonna guess the two. Two middle doors go to the same chamber, and then the two outer doors probably go to outer rooms.
[00:53:16] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:53:17] Speaker B: But just to guess from the layout of this place, we want to try.
[00:53:19] Speaker C: The theoretical middle chamber first.
[00:53:21] Speaker B: Well, I'm beat up a little bit.
[00:53:24] Speaker D: I got you. How about I lay on hands?
[00:53:27] Speaker B: Lay those hands on me, baby.
[00:53:29] Speaker A: Well, hang on, hang on. Before you go laying anything on anyone, I want you guys to think about what you're gonna do next week for the 9th level coming back.
[00:53:38] Speaker B: Oh, come on.
