[00:00:34] Speaker A: Hello, dear listeners, and welcome back to the Crack Die Podcast for episode seven. This is Matt. I play Twin talent on the show, and I just want to say once again how grateful we are to everyone out there who has downloaded our podcast. As I am recording this, we have surpassed 600 downloads. So for a podcast with six episodes, that is not too shabby. And that's all thanks to you. You might actually know someone who listens to our podcast. You probably told them they had to. [00:01:06] Speaker B: And you know what? [00:01:07] Speaker A: We're okay with that. Now, before I take too much of your time, I just wanted to go over something. We oftentimes on the show tell you to check out our website to see a map or a monster or hit us up on Twitter, see our Instagram, shoot us an email to tell us how good, bad we are doing with second edition rules. But then we don't tell you how to do that, and that's bad. That's not good. That's our fault. So Haya actually touches on that during this episode, but I'm hoping to catch you before you've left your driveway, and you can still legally use your phone to input this information. So our website is thecrackdypeodcast.com that's thecrackedie Podcast.com. Our email address is show. [email protected] on Twitter. We are at Crackdye and on Instagram, thecrackdy podcast. And now, without further ado, episode seven of the Crackdye podcast. Short, people. [00:02:12] Speaker B: Previously on The Crackdye Podcast our heroes rushed to the courtyard of the citadel. There they found the dreaded growladon. After our heroes defeated the growladon, our heroes climbed to the top of the courtyard into the battlements. What will happen next? Find out now on the Cracked Die podcast. Welcome to the 7th episode of The Cracked Die podcast. My name is Sean, and I'm your GM. We're going to pick up with our players where we last left off. We have Silver, who just spoke and was trying to get this halfling you can only assume is Kalmot, because you're not from this town. As you've told us multiple times to let go of this goblin, we will start in exploration mode, but if things get hairy, we can switch over to encounter mode. [00:03:07] Speaker C: Sounds good. [00:03:08] Speaker B: All right. [00:03:09] Speaker D: So I just said something to him? [00:03:12] Speaker B: Yeah, if you want to recap what you said. [00:03:14] Speaker D: Well, I basically said, all right, now you put the knife down. Let's not do anything hasty here. We can talk about this. [00:03:23] Speaker B: And who are you? Await the do gooders from town. You were supposed to burn in the fire. What are you doing here? No closer. Come any closer and I'll cut this goblin's ears off if you don't leave at once. [00:03:41] Speaker D: Now, you're going to be being mighty rude to me right in here. And I have just approached you with the utmost kindness. So I do not know too much about how you were raised, but for shame, your parents did a terrible job. But for sooth, I would say that if you harm I do not know that goblin. I am sorry, ma'am. If he harms you, I promise you, I'll throw him off this balcony, and I'm sure his little halfling legs will break under him. [00:04:15] Speaker B: I will do no such thing as to letting this goblin go or not harming him until he tells me what I need to know. [00:04:23] Speaker D: Let me put this in the most clear terms for you, sir. Right now, I'm being joined by my two companions. One's a cleric. The other is a champion. And there is also a crazy scientist who's going to be coming up as well. Point is, regardless of what you do, you're not in the driver's seat here. We're going to take the reins. And if you anger us too badly, well, I can't guarantee your safety. [00:04:53] Speaker B: Give me an intimidation check. [00:04:55] Speaker E: Sure. [00:04:55] Speaker F: You can do it. [00:04:57] Speaker B: Okay. [00:04:58] Speaker C: We're like flapping up. [00:04:59] Speaker E: You have a hero point. [00:05:00] Speaker B: If you wanted to use yes, you can remember, you can use your hero point to reroll one, die one. Check. [00:05:05] Speaker F: Can we also aid, since we are coming up, everyone who is up there. [00:05:10] Speaker B: So, yes, everyone except for twin talon and pond watcher can attempt to aid. It is a DC 20 to add one to that intimidation check. [00:05:21] Speaker F: 20. [00:05:22] Speaker B: All right, so add one. [00:05:24] Speaker D: Okay. [00:05:26] Speaker B: Is that flat, or can we add our own intimidation? You get to add your intimidation bonus. [00:05:30] Speaker C: No. Seven. [00:05:31] Speaker D: Okay, so a total of 21. [00:05:35] Speaker B: Wow. Okay. As you are talking to him, he seems to start to wilt a little bit. And as he starts to kind of see him getting a little shaken, and as soon as that grip loosens around the goblin a little bit, the goblin wiggles free and runs away to join the rest of the goblin group at that, Kalmot seems to shrink. Okay, let's just talk about this. [00:06:14] Speaker G: Once this goblin is free. You see, Temid kind of like he just rushes straight ahead at the halfling rapier pulled out. And he tries to he points it at him, and all this bravado is gone again. And he says, who are they? So he draws that symbol that you showed. He draws that on the ground, and he points to it aggressively, angrily. You could see just the rage in his face is, who are they? [00:06:47] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:06:49] Speaker E: Yes, you do. [00:06:50] Speaker B: No. [00:06:51] Speaker G: And then he grabs at him with his left hand. [00:06:53] Speaker B: Okay, everyone can calm down. [00:06:56] Speaker G: Should I I'm going to roll an intimidation no. Grapple. What's it called? [00:07:02] Speaker B: You can grapple. Okay. [00:07:03] Speaker G: So he grabs him by the cuff, and he's, like, pointing the rapier in his face. [00:07:09] Speaker B: I don't know. Look, I came here. Let's be real. [00:07:16] Speaker G: He throws him to the side, and then he just kind of, like, stands above him, points the rapier in his face again, and says, you're not being truthful with me. [00:07:25] Speaker B: Who are look, look, I just came here, and I was here to ask these pests, and he gestures at the goblins, how I find Estella's ring? That's all I was here for. That's all I wanted to know. Great. [00:07:39] Speaker F: Now, what exactly do you want with Estella's ring? [00:07:43] Speaker B: The ring? It's only a ring of elf gates. Come on. Elf gates? Think about it. How much money could you get? [00:07:59] Speaker C: Don't you realize how Sereta comes right up next to Temwat? Now Jasper's on her shoulder. You almost keeled my bird. You want to make a profit off my history, and you've upset my friend, and you were trying to harm this poor goblin. [00:08:21] Speaker B: Look, I was just here for information. That's all I wanted. Okay? [00:08:26] Speaker G: Can I roll a diplomacy on that? Like a sense motive, basically. But it's diplomacy now, right? [00:08:31] Speaker B: Yeah. By the way, twin, you see that? All threat has been kind of removed at this point. [00:08:39] Speaker E: All right, I reserve the right to shoot someone up there. Still got you. All right, keep my bow drawn. [00:08:44] Speaker B: And got you. [00:08:44] Speaker E: Seeing what happens. [00:08:45] Speaker G: Natural 20 for a 25. [00:08:47] Speaker B: Okay. That is a critical success. [00:08:49] Speaker G: Yes. So is he telling the truth one about his desire, why he wants to find it, and then the other one is, does he also trying to figure out whether or not he knows anything about this group? [00:09:01] Speaker B: Okay, so you can tell that he is literally, like, 100%. He's trying to find out how to get this ring, where this ring is to sell the information, to make money, and he is also telling the truth about not knowing what that symbol is. [00:09:18] Speaker G: All right, so he just kind of dejectedly kind of just walks not really far away, but far enough away to where he's not standing immediately above him anymore. [00:09:28] Speaker D: Okay, I'm going to walk past him to the goblin group. [00:09:33] Speaker B: Okay. [00:09:34] Speaker D: And I'd like to apologize. This man may be small in stature, but he's also small in mind and holds racial prejudice beliefs. It saddens me that he referred to y'all as pests. Now. My name is Silver. I am a bard of some repute. How can I be of service to y'all? [00:09:54] Speaker B: So the goblin that was being held captcha captcha to make sure you're not a bot. The goblin that was being held captured by Kelmot is this picture that I'm showing everyone that we will post. [00:10:09] Speaker G: He's got some kind of, like, slicer. [00:10:11] Speaker B: Or something on his shoulder. Dog slicer. [00:10:15] Speaker G: I mean, a horse chopper. [00:10:16] Speaker B: The dog slicer has been dropped, but the goblin looks at you and says, sorry, give me a second. My brain just stopped. [00:10:32] Speaker D: It's all right. [00:10:33] Speaker G: Sean exe has stopped. [00:10:35] Speaker E: Also, for anybody doesn't know what a dog slicer is or a horse chopper, it's very specific goblin weapons. Basically, it's the equivalent of a short sword for a dog slicer and a short sword on a stick for a horse chopper. It's basically the same weapon, just with a long stick on the end of it because goblins in Pathfinder notoriously hate dogs and horses. [00:10:56] Speaker B: Is there a reason why they're big and scary? [00:11:00] Speaker E: Because it's funny. I think basically, previous to second edition, goblins were just like serial killing pyromaniacs. [00:11:08] Speaker C: Were they evil aligned? [00:11:10] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [00:11:10] Speaker E: Absolutely. [00:11:11] Speaker C: There we go. What's more evil than something that hates a dog? [00:11:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:11:14] Speaker E: So just dogs and horses. They just murdered them indiscriminately and set fire to things. [00:11:18] Speaker B: Well, they were more afraid of horse. [00:11:20] Speaker E: So now it's second edition and they're playable character people. [00:11:23] Speaker C: And they still just set fire to things? [00:11:24] Speaker B: Yeah, now they still set fire. [00:11:26] Speaker E: Now they're alchemists. [00:11:27] Speaker B: All right. So as the dust kind of settles from the drama that was going on, the goblin, the short, slight goblin woman who had been held hostage by Kalmot nods to you and with a voice that sounds like a horse bird. So like a bird with laryngitis. Excuse me and thank you. Friends. You are friends. You must be friends. You just saved the Bramble Brashers from that man. And so much falling and shrieking. I am helba. And I am the Bramble Brasher's. Chieftain. We have been stuck up here for so long days, it feels like maybe even weeks. Hard to keep track. First those awful monsters chased us from our comfy basement. Then that dragon dog came. And then that awful halfling man showed up talking about elves and other nonsense. No elves here. Just us. Brample Brashers. Helba looks back at her people and a deeply morose look settles upon her face. I just want to protect my people. But everything, everyone wants us dead. [00:12:48] Speaker C: Well, we are actually here to make sure that you're all right. It's Warble was her name. She wanted to make sure that you were all safe and sent us in her warble. [00:13:00] Speaker B: Yes. Cousin Warble. My good friend. Good cousin. Such smart lady. And now she lives in a big city. Please, new friends. If you could tell her that we're alive and that you saved us, the Bramble Brashers would be most grateful. We still lost our home down below. But maybe not forever, right? [00:13:20] Speaker C: Do you know what? [00:13:21] Speaker B: She kind of looks up at you with a hopeful look in her eye at the last mention. [00:13:25] Speaker C: Do you know what chased you out of the basement? [00:13:29] Speaker B: Yes. She gets a panicked look on her face, but she glances back up to her tribes and conspicuously writes her posture. Cultists. At least I think they are cultists. They called themselves Cinder Claws. And they said that our home was their home. Now they threatened to roast us, peel us, and eat us. And they had dragon monsters with them. So of course we ran from the vaults. There's so many monsters on that ground floor. We ran up here to the battlements. That dragon thing down in the courtyard kept us from getting away. It wanted to eat us. If you've already fought the dragon thing. [00:14:14] Speaker C: By the way I figured the cinder claws, if they are cult, can I do, like, a knowledge, like, religion or something? [00:14:21] Speaker E: Do they wear red suits? [00:14:23] Speaker G: That's exactly what I was thinking too. No, I thought it was a good. [00:14:28] Speaker E: Sorry, I'm done in the courtyard. I can't say that. [00:14:30] Speaker G: So yeah. Is there, like, occultism? Because they're occult. [00:14:36] Speaker B: Yes, go ahead. [00:14:37] Speaker C: Occultism. [00:14:38] Speaker D: Yeah, I might have that, actually. [00:14:40] Speaker G: So I take it that the rest of us hear this as well. [00:14:43] Speaker C: Can we just take a quick pause. [00:14:44] Speaker F: And figuring out who is with who? Because some of us are still with Kalmouth. Some of us have gone to speak to the goblin, so we just need to double check. [00:14:53] Speaker C: We weren't far from each other. True. [00:14:57] Speaker B: All right, so after that discussion, let's kind of set the table where everyone is who actually has Kalmot's not actually restrained at all? He could literally walk away at this. [00:15:10] Speaker C: Point, but yeah, she's standing right next to him. Soraya is standing right next to him. She probably has him by the back of his shirt. [00:15:17] Speaker B: Okay. [00:15:18] Speaker C: And she's not paying attention to him. [00:15:19] Speaker B: She's talking to help you feel him struggling against you. But he's not going for hops down. [00:15:25] Speaker G: On her wrist and just temid's not very far away. He just kind of dejectedly took a few steps away. [00:15:32] Speaker B: Okay. How about she is also with the. [00:15:34] Speaker F: Cowmont and we'll speak her turn? I think she's currently fishing around. Brianna's currently fishing around in her pack for her rope. [00:15:44] Speaker B: Okay, good. Pond watcher. You're still downstairs? You're still chilling out? [00:15:50] Speaker H: I haven't had time to climb up. [00:15:53] Speaker B: Would you like to climb up? [00:15:55] Speaker H: I guess so. [00:15:56] Speaker B: All right, cool. Silver, what are you doing? [00:15:59] Speaker D: I'm chatting with the cabos. [00:16:00] Speaker B: Okay. [00:16:01] Speaker D: Like, right up to them and Twin. [00:16:05] Speaker E: Twin Talon is keeping an eye out. There is still a lot of this citadel that we have not explored, and if there were monsters that were chasing them out, he's not ready just to come up to the top yet. So he's just keeping an eye out both for anything approaching us, as well as if Calmot tries to make a run for it, he'll be ready. Assuming he doesn't jump over the wall to the outside. [00:16:33] Speaker B: Right. [00:16:34] Speaker E: Which case he probably will just break his legs. [00:16:36] Speaker B: Yeah. This is like 20ft up. [00:16:39] Speaker E: And now with second edition rules, that's. [00:16:41] Speaker B: Like, 8000 down times two or something like that. [00:16:45] Speaker G: So how far are the goblins away from Kalmot? Are they within your shot? [00:16:50] Speaker B: Yeah, they're absolutely I mean, I'm looking. [00:16:52] Speaker C: At where we all seem to be standing, and it doesn't seem to be more than 30ft across. [00:16:55] Speaker B: Those squares are 15ft. 15 foot squares. Oh, okay. [00:16:59] Speaker C: I did not realize that was is. [00:17:01] Speaker E: The same as over there. [00:17:02] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. [00:17:03] Speaker C: It's just on a little complicated. Yeah. Even so, we're all still you're fairly. [00:17:07] Speaker B: Close to each other. Yeah. [00:17:08] Speaker G: So we can hear each other and then also kind of watch kalamat at the same time. So while they're talking, temid hears them speak about a cult, and this catches his interest again. He kind of hurriedly rushes over, and he quickly draws that symbol on the ground. He says, does this look familiar? [00:17:29] Speaker B: No. The bramble Brashers. Never see that. No. [00:17:34] Speaker C: Speaking of the occultism, though, 23, that. [00:17:38] Speaker B: Does give you the cinder claws and all that. Kind of like you remember a little bit, but you don't understand why they would be here. The cinder claws are from the expanse. Jeez. Okay. [00:17:55] Speaker G: That's a long ways away. [00:17:56] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:17:57] Speaker B: Yes. Aaron. [00:17:58] Speaker D: Well, silver was born in the mana wastes. [00:18:01] Speaker B: Okay. [00:18:01] Speaker D: Which borders the expanse. [00:18:03] Speaker B: Oh, by the way, what is the Moangi Expanse? If anyone would like to explain what that is. [00:18:08] Speaker D: Richard? [00:18:12] Speaker H: Moangi Expanse is a continent below south of where we are. [00:18:17] Speaker B: All right, so the Moengi Expanse is the old style darkest, deepest, darkest continent where large savannah type animals run. I guess the best comparison would be Africa. So there are very strange creatures there. [00:18:36] Speaker E: It's like thick jungle. [00:18:37] Speaker C: Yeah, it's probably more like Amazon. [00:18:40] Speaker D: It's like Joseph Conrad's heart of yes. [00:18:44] Speaker B: But it is way far from, like, way far away. [00:18:49] Speaker C: Why would they be other side of the world. [00:18:52] Speaker G: Correct. [00:18:53] Speaker D: Well, I'm from the Manaways, which is adjacent or part of and I also have occultism. Does that give me any bonus if I roll? [00:19:03] Speaker B: Not really. You know, the cinder claws are a cult that is from that region. But again, why they be here or how they would get here. [00:19:14] Speaker D: All right. [00:19:15] Speaker F: It's anybody's guess. [00:19:16] Speaker B: Yeah, hang on. Sorry. Real quick, sean has to be Pond watcher. Can you give me a dragon lore check? [00:19:32] Speaker C: Sure on that. Because it's my specific one from my background. Would Dahawk Lore be applicable? [00:19:39] Speaker B: No. [00:19:40] Speaker C: Okay. [00:19:40] Speaker B: Sorry. [00:19:41] Speaker F: Just wanted to check. [00:19:42] Speaker B: Not yet. [00:19:43] Speaker H: 22. [00:19:44] Speaker B: So the creature that was decapitated that you vomited into its mouth, mogi dragon. What? [00:19:51] Speaker C: Corgi dragon. [00:19:52] Speaker B: The corgi dragon. Yes. [00:19:53] Speaker H: Sent a message to its ancestors. [00:19:55] Speaker B: Yes. That is also from the Muangi expanse. [00:19:59] Speaker H: That sounds like, where this thing is from. He's like. [00:20:05] Speaker B: So you keep that in the back of your mind. [00:20:07] Speaker G: All right, so as a player actually, I'm kind of wondering maybe that they've actually gained access to those Ayudara and are able to start ferrying themselves and some of their pets over here. [00:20:23] Speaker D: We're like, super far north. Aren't, like, in geography terms. Mwangi. Spanish is like Congo, and we're in Sweden. [00:20:34] Speaker G: Yeah, I don't know geography that well. We're in American public schools. I have no fucking clue. [00:20:39] Speaker F: Yeah, I think it'd be closer to Spain. [00:20:41] Speaker H: Chaliax is like the Iberian. [00:20:45] Speaker G: There's no such thing as the Iberian pollinza. [00:20:47] Speaker B: Stop. Shut up. [00:20:49] Speaker F: Anyway, do you want to. [00:20:54] Speaker B: That'S saying something. It's cold in here, guys. [00:21:02] Speaker E: Not like that for people who can't see us. Anwar, what symbol were you drawing? Could you describe it for our listeners? [00:21:13] Speaker B: Yes. [00:21:13] Speaker G: So those of you who've been listening to us since the very beginning. Some of my favorite people in the world really who are doing this? Not you guys, the people who are. [00:21:22] Speaker B: Listening to also, if you're jumping in on episode seven, just go back and listen. [00:21:27] Speaker E: Back and listen to 1 bar. [00:21:28] Speaker G: Or you don't have to listen, just download it, please. [00:21:31] Speaker B: No, listen to the story, mate. [00:21:33] Speaker C: You know what? [00:21:34] Speaker G: Alright, so the symbol that I'm speaking about is a symbol that Temad it's been established that some people that had held him captive before he was emancipated, this is a symbol that's associated with them. It's a circle with a couple of triangles kind of attached to one side of it pointing away from it. And it's kind of like depending on how you look at it, you can't tell is it to the top or to the bottom that they're pointed away from. But yeah, it's basically like a circle and some triangles. And he knows that whoever had these symbols, they treated him very poorly and they were pretty evil. He doesn't know a lot about them because they were very secretive. But he knows that it's bad news and he wants revenge at some point. [00:22:26] Speaker E: So two things. One, do you guys remember what we saw when we first came in here? [00:22:32] Speaker C: Order of the nail? [00:22:33] Speaker E: One, no. The clawed footprints. [00:22:36] Speaker G: Oh, yes. [00:22:37] Speaker E: Two things. One, if you look at our goblin friend, it just has feet. [00:22:41] Speaker B: Feet. [00:22:42] Speaker E: Like it doesn't have clawed feet. [00:22:44] Speaker C: Got a good pedicure. Good. [00:22:45] Speaker E: But if you hold this like that and imagine like another toe. [00:22:50] Speaker G: Oh, yeah. [00:22:51] Speaker E: Then your circle with two triangles could be a circle with three triangles. It's just like a little clawed footprint. [00:22:57] Speaker D: Interesting. [00:22:58] Speaker E: I don't know if that means anything or if I just made that up. [00:23:00] Speaker G: But maybe our GM is smiling pretty hard. [00:23:04] Speaker D: Are they called cinder? [00:23:06] Speaker B: Cinder claws. [00:23:07] Speaker D: Cinder claws. [00:23:09] Speaker G: They're claws made out of cinder blocks. We did it, guys. [00:23:14] Speaker E: We were so close. Anwar brought us right back down. [00:23:18] Speaker D: Okay, anyway, that's fascinating. [00:23:21] Speaker G: That's actually a really good idea. [00:23:22] Speaker C: Help the goblins clear out the basement, I think is the current question. [00:23:26] Speaker F: I think we should are we heroes? [00:23:33] Speaker C: If we do go help them, what do we do with this? [00:23:35] Speaker F: What I was going to suggest is why don't we go back and handle this young man first? Because his fate is not in our hands. It is in breacher's hands. It is up to them to decide what to do with this arsonist. [00:23:51] Speaker E: Well, we haven't really helped the goblins. I mean, we've helped them in the immediate I call from the courtyard. [00:23:59] Speaker B: So just so you guys remember, because it was a bunch of weeks ago, you were charged with two things from the city of Breech Hill. Bring back Kalmot and that was worth ten gold. And make sure that the bramble thrashers were safe and not killed. So you are absolutely correct. You could take calmot back to breach Hill to handle that and come back here, or tie up Kalmot and just drag him with you. [00:24:30] Speaker E: We could leave him for the Goblins. [00:24:32] Speaker B: Or leave him. [00:24:32] Speaker C: I think we could tie him up, leave him with the Goblins, and go down to deal with the basement. I would like to rest before that. [00:24:38] Speaker G: Well, the other thing though, is if we leave now, I agree with you guys, we shouldn't. But if we do leave now, there's no guarantee that whatever group is down there doesn't kind of know that we're coming. Or somebody that's strong enough to kill that dragon is here or has been here, and they might fortify their defenses. So I'm also very much under the same mind that we should push forward. [00:25:03] Speaker B: And option three that I'll present to you is from up here. You see, there is a lot of this citadel you guys have not explored. [00:25:11] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [00:25:12] Speaker G: So I've played enough tabletop RPGs to never listen to the GM's. [00:25:15] Speaker C: That's fair suggestions, I think, given that it is probably one to 02:00 A.m. Right now. If we tie up Kelmot, see if we can camp with the Goblins and maybe tackle things in the morning. [00:25:27] Speaker E: I don't think it's that late. [00:25:28] Speaker D: I don't think it's that late. [00:25:29] Speaker G: What time is it, GM? [00:25:30] Speaker E: When we got here, the sun was just going down. We were seeing okay. [00:25:35] Speaker C: Last week we had it being like 01:00 A.m. [00:25:37] Speaker B: Exactly. [00:25:37] Speaker D: Oh, really? [00:25:38] Speaker B: Yeah, really. [00:25:39] Speaker C: Did you say that 4 hours to get here? I think we left at dusk. [00:25:42] Speaker E: Well, no, because it's unfortunate that no one has recorded our I know, right? [00:25:46] Speaker B: If only we could go back and listen. [00:25:48] Speaker E: But when we were in that hallway, the octagonal hallway, which is the outside of this courtyard, you had said that the sun was setting, light was coming through, and the only thing we've done since then that's true. We did. Well, it was like 30 seconds and then ten minutes, right. And then we ran out here. [00:26:04] Speaker B: And this was like probably after all the COVID And it's the summer, so it's probably around like eleven at night. [00:26:13] Speaker G: It didn't take us 5 hours to deal with all that stuff. [00:26:16] Speaker F: It's summer on the Iberian peninsula. The sun's just starting going down. Yeah, it goes down around ten. [00:26:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. A real place? [00:26:25] Speaker D: I don't think so. Our champion. [00:26:28] Speaker E: That's where beer comes from. [00:26:30] Speaker G: Iberian Peninsula. [00:26:31] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:26:32] Speaker G: Now it's my favorite place. [00:26:33] Speaker D: Okay, I think our champion can tie up the halfling pretty successfully. And I'm all for giving him in the custody of the Goblins. [00:26:44] Speaker C: For now. [00:26:45] Speaker B: We will need to take him. [00:26:46] Speaker G: Yeah, we have to stipulate that they don't kill him. [00:26:49] Speaker D: Okay. [00:26:50] Speaker G: They can gnaw on his arms or whatever. I don't care. [00:26:52] Speaker D: All right, so you see everything from the waist down. You can eat that. No, I'm not saying that. Joking aside, but I do think yeah. We should just press on. [00:27:06] Speaker C: Yes, we can make sure that you'll be safe back in the basement caverns. [00:27:10] Speaker D: Yes. [00:27:11] Speaker B: Thank you. Well, do you know how to get there? [00:27:19] Speaker H: That's what I was about to ask. Where the hell are we going? [00:27:22] Speaker C: I imagined somehow that the goblins that used to live there would know how to get there. [00:27:26] Speaker H: You wouldn't tell the little man, but perhaps you can tell us because we're friends with you. [00:27:30] Speaker B: Yes. [00:27:30] Speaker G: Somebody cover his ears before in case he gets away. [00:27:34] Speaker C: Well, what we could do is tie him up, leave him here, and just have her lead the way. [00:27:38] Speaker B: We'll tell you we're not going to go back there till those creatures are gone. But your friends there's a secret door just down the hill to the west. It's not hard to find when you look, but I can show you. It goes right to the vaults where we used to live. We used the door all the time to go out to hunt for food. [00:27:57] Speaker H: Cool. [00:27:58] Speaker D: Yeah. All right, now, ma'am, would it be all right with you if we left this captive for you to look after? Why? Take care of what's going on. [00:28:08] Speaker B: Yes. Is down below safe? [00:28:12] Speaker D: We will, like, right below. [00:28:16] Speaker B: No big dragon thing anymore, right? Yeah. [00:28:17] Speaker D: Correct. Our excellent armored friend over here cut that thing head off. What's important? [00:28:26] Speaker C: Someone's got a crush on Bond. [00:28:27] Speaker B: Watcher, I'm the one that cut the head off. [00:28:32] Speaker D: Now, this is a little wiley fellow over here, so we may have to restrain him in some ways that are perhaps a little unpleasant, but I'd say out of character. I said we should reduce him to basically almost no hit points, so he has no chance of running away. [00:28:50] Speaker E: You can just break his legs. [00:28:52] Speaker B: Shame. [00:28:52] Speaker F: Man, that's real out of my dark. [00:28:58] Speaker G: Don't let me cross Aaron. [00:29:03] Speaker C: A stick of steak in the ground and tie his hands around. It too tall for him to get his hands over. [00:29:08] Speaker E: I guess Twin Town will kind of fall off and be like, you should take all the stuff out of his pocket. [00:29:14] Speaker D: That, too. We'll just make him naked, then. [00:29:17] Speaker C: Just shake him down. [00:29:19] Speaker G: We'll leave his underwear on. [00:29:20] Speaker D: Yeah, leave his underwear on. [00:29:21] Speaker E: I just mean don't leave him with any weapons or explosives. [00:29:23] Speaker G: No, you said strip him down. [00:29:26] Speaker E: It's not what I said, but I'm far away. [00:29:30] Speaker C: That's what Tempet heard. [00:29:32] Speaker D: All right, so we remove him of everything on his body. [00:29:35] Speaker B: All right. So you get a dagger, I'll toss it off. Small leather armor. Also tossing it, two lesser healing potions. [00:29:44] Speaker D: Handing those to Anwar. [00:29:46] Speaker C: So, wait, if it's a small dagger, is it legit? Actually, just a butter knife. [00:29:51] Speaker F: This joke is going to keep carrying on, and I'm totally happy. [00:29:55] Speaker B: One plus one short bow, 20 arrows and thieves tools. Are you guys going to explore the rest of this, or are you guys going to go try and find us? [00:30:05] Speaker G: If we don't explore, then there's the chance that when we go down, the Goblins could be dead when we come back. [00:30:09] Speaker E: Yeah, or that something comes down behind us. [00:30:12] Speaker B: I just want to know which section of the book I need to flip to. [00:30:15] Speaker E: Prince Allen would vote to clear the first floor before we go down. [00:30:19] Speaker F: That's fair. [00:30:20] Speaker D: I agree. [00:30:21] Speaker C: Is there more of the second floor. [00:30:22] Speaker B: Or just the just just this. Yeah. [00:30:24] Speaker C: So let's just clear the first floor. [00:30:25] Speaker D: We can keep the Goblins up here, and then we'll go. [00:30:28] Speaker H: Before we leave this battlement, though, Pond Watcher wants to talk to him. Just as a note. [00:30:34] Speaker F: Actually, I'm actually with him because I'm drying him up. [00:30:37] Speaker C: Yeah, there's one thing I want to say to help. [00:30:38] Speaker B: All right, so now that we've divvied out Kalmot's goods, while it's taking some time to strip him of everything except the loincloth, tying him up, restraining him, it's going to take about 15 minutes or so. What's happening during that time? We'll start with Twin Talon. Are you still just keeping an eye out downstairs? [00:31:00] Speaker E: Yes, Twin Talon is still keeping an eye out. [00:31:03] Speaker B: Excellent. [00:31:03] Speaker E: They got chased out by something, so he's watching. [00:31:06] Speaker B: Excellent. [00:31:06] Speaker E: I might be by this pond watching. [00:31:10] Speaker G: No, the puns are spreading. [00:31:13] Speaker B: I think I'm doing it. [00:31:15] Speaker F: Contact. [00:31:15] Speaker G: I temid is. Can we move on to somebody else? Because I need to think about what there's a couple of options that I wanted to do, but I'm not really sure. [00:31:24] Speaker B: Brianna. [00:31:25] Speaker F: Brianna is currently securing knots, as she was the one to do the dew of tying him up. And she is whispering a quick prayer to Srenre for taking this person's will against them, but it is for justice. She will then look up into his eyes as she's probably knelt in front of him as she's adjusting ropes. Why did you set fire to the town hall, young man? [00:31:55] Speaker B: All right, Pond Watcher, what are you doing? [00:31:58] Speaker H: Also talking to Kelmont. [00:32:00] Speaker D: All right, Silver, I'm getting as much info from the Goblins as I can. [00:32:06] Speaker B: Excellent. And Serea, she just wants to talk to continue talking. Oh, hellboy. Okay, so we'll deal with the Kelmont stuff, and then we'll come over and deal with the Goblin stuff. Is that cool? [00:32:17] Speaker C: Sure. [00:32:18] Speaker G: Great. [00:32:18] Speaker B: All right. So you asked him? Why did you set the stupid question? Of course I set that little spark. And you should have seen everyone's faces. How else was I supposed to stop that stupid council from sending heroes to Hell might Hill? That would have interrupted my plan to find the Elf gates. But now you're here anyway. I should have set an even bigger fire. [00:32:51] Speaker H: Where is Vaz Vase? Did you find out about the gates from her? [00:33:03] Speaker B: Vaz is the worst employer ever. She thinks she's my god and always bosses me around. Kalmot do this, Kalmot, read that. Kalmot. That's not how you pronounce NARG. She's such a jerk. I hate her. I've been digging around her stuff for weeks, trying. To find something I could sell to buy my way out of this stupid job. Didn't find any goodies. But what I did find was her notes about Alstea's ring. What was she planning to do with that, huh? I don't just I just want to get paid. [00:33:40] Speaker H: Well, I can pay you in something. [00:33:43] Speaker B: And that is pain I'm not a fan of. [00:33:49] Speaker H: Why don't you take your tiny mouth and close it up? Or close it permanently with a steel ball attached to a rope. [00:33:57] Speaker B: His eyes get, like, really big, and he just kind of shrinks. So his normal three foot stature is now, like, two and a half feet. So he's a shrinking violet. [00:34:16] Speaker F: While he's shrinking, Brianna will say, I sincerely hope you will find repentance for all you've done, young man. Once you will reach home breechill and turn to her. [00:34:27] Speaker B: You can't take me back there. They'll throw me in jail or worse. [00:34:33] Speaker C: Quite. [00:34:33] Speaker F: It is what you deserve. [00:34:35] Speaker B: Oh, boy. He starts to look wistfully away and, like, shrinks down. [00:34:43] Speaker G: This is my favorite NPC you've ever done. You're doing a really good job with thank you. [00:34:47] Speaker B: I have a lot to go off of with this guy, so it's fun. All right, now over to the goblins now. [00:34:55] Speaker D: Man, we are about to go clear out this cape for you. It is thank you. It's what heroes do. It's fine. By the way, that elf over there with the crown is the once. [00:35:12] Speaker B: Her eyes get really big, that means he has shiny things. [00:35:17] Speaker D: Yes, but more importantly, he is a noble man who will save us all. [00:35:25] Speaker B: But let's talk about the shiny things. [00:35:30] Speaker D: Well, you could ask him to show you his sword at some point. [00:35:36] Speaker B: Okay. I'm liking this. [00:35:38] Speaker F: Keep going. [00:35:38] Speaker C: What else? Sword. [00:35:45] Speaker D: Damn it. It's a two hand. [00:35:48] Speaker B: Oh, that's big. That must be heavy. [00:35:55] Speaker G: I kind of want to put up an X right now. [00:35:57] Speaker H: I don't know. [00:35:59] Speaker D: Okay, all seriousness aside all seriousness aside. [00:36:03] Speaker B: That'S what we've been doing. [00:36:05] Speaker H: Now let's get silly. [00:36:06] Speaker D: Okay. All right. He is a king that is promised, but in the here and now, it's important that you tell us everything you can about your caves, anything we might know. We're going to go in there almost blind, and I want to have as much knowledge as possible beforehand. [00:36:27] Speaker B: Well, everything we know, we've told you. [00:36:31] Speaker C: Have you any traps that were supposed to keep others out that they might. [00:36:35] Speaker B: Have set up we didn't know? No, we're not good with those trap things, sadly. Otherwise, we'd still be in our home. [00:36:45] Speaker C: I just wanted to know so we don't get hurt on the way in. [00:36:47] Speaker B: Oh, thank you. Yikes. [00:36:49] Speaker C: Now, Warbell did see the distress signal that you sent there. I don't know how complex your smoke signal language is. Is there just any way you can let her know that at least we've arrived and we're here for you. [00:37:06] Speaker B: We will put them out, and you see one of the goblins go put out the fires, and he runs and jumps, like, belly flops in and starts rolling around to put out the fire. [00:37:15] Speaker G: Well, there's one less mouth to feed. [00:37:20] Speaker B: He's fine. [00:37:21] Speaker D: I appreciate his enthusiasm. Now, would you stay here and be safe while we clear out the rest of this old hell knight Castle? [00:37:32] Speaker C: Yes. [00:37:33] Speaker B: Say thank you. We'll keep an eye on this one. And you see one of the hearing goblin. Hey, go stand guard. And you see one of the other goblins kind of, like, waddle over. He's a bit rotund, and he sits down in front of Kalmot, who's restrained, and he reaches out and grabs a single hair on his foot and plucks it out. [00:37:56] Speaker G: That hurts, guys. [00:37:58] Speaker B: That hurts a lot. [00:38:02] Speaker C: Just nods in approval. [00:38:05] Speaker D: So are we now just exploring the rest of the. [00:38:10] Speaker G: Timid? I've figured out which one of the options Timid would like to do. [00:38:14] Speaker B: All right. Which option would Temid like to take? [00:38:17] Speaker G: Now that he sees he's not really interested in what Kalmod has to say anymore, so he kind of joins the Silver and the goblins, and he walks up behind them, and when they're done talking, he says, I'm glad you're free, and we're more than happy to help. He pulls out a few mugs and maybe the last of his ale for the day. He gives him a couple of sips each, because I know they get tipsy real quick. [00:38:51] Speaker B: I just want to clarify. You're giving alcohol to goblins? [00:38:57] Speaker G: Hey, listen, it's a part of my. [00:38:59] Speaker B: Who are supposed to give and you just watched one put out a fire with his body and laugh about it. [00:39:06] Speaker G: Well, he kind of reminds me of Pond Watcher, so I feel like he'll be the most reliable of all of. [00:39:11] Speaker B: The all right, it's your game. [00:39:15] Speaker G: Well, I just think that it's very much within his beliefs to no. Well, they're liberated, and he wants them to celebrate their liberation, so he regales them with just a couple of, like, a 32nd little elevator pitch of they don't Kalian. Oh, he's giving them alcohol. They better. Damn. Listen to him. All right, this is now, like, the. [00:39:39] Speaker C: Second group of people he's tried to convert. Can I give Edward a hero point? [00:39:43] Speaker G: I think everyone should give me a hero point at the same. [00:39:47] Speaker B: No, you're playing your character as much as it pains me to reward you. All right. [00:39:53] Speaker C: No, I think it's been really cool that you've been really going for that. [00:39:56] Speaker D: I like that you're testifying to these goblins and to the Bugbear yeah. [00:40:03] Speaker E: Coming for you so you can get those hero points back. [00:40:06] Speaker B: Yeah. All right. We only killed Christine. We know this. [00:40:10] Speaker I: Sorry. [00:40:10] Speaker E: Oh, I'm going to be a lot less yeah, I'm going for it. [00:40:14] Speaker G: Now. [00:40:17] Speaker E: On the map here, can you show us where they were indicating that. [00:40:21] Speaker C: There was the hidden door? [00:40:23] Speaker D: Bottom of the hill is what they said. [00:40:24] Speaker E: Like, out of the fortress? [00:40:26] Speaker B: Yes. [00:40:27] Speaker E: Oh, okay. So nowhere in here. [00:40:29] Speaker D: They didn't spend a lot of time in here. Is that what we can how the. [00:40:32] Speaker E: Hell did they get here? [00:40:33] Speaker G: They ran up here probably when they were running away. [00:40:35] Speaker E: That's the wrong side. That's the opposite side that the door is on. [00:40:38] Speaker H: There's a whole western side? [00:40:41] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:40:41] Speaker E: They had to run all the way around, come through the door, close it. [00:40:45] Speaker B: Behind them while the front gate was broken. [00:40:48] Speaker E: Right, but we came through doors that were rusty and shut. [00:40:52] Speaker C: Yeah, we had to soak those hinges up. [00:40:54] Speaker B: Yes. [00:40:54] Speaker H: Let's clear out this building. [00:40:58] Speaker G: All right. [00:40:58] Speaker H: Mysteries can wait for later. [00:41:01] Speaker E: Who the hell is that character? [00:41:04] Speaker G: That's definitely not Pond watcher. [00:41:05] Speaker B: So you guys are up in the battlements area. [00:41:08] Speaker G: All right, so maybe we head down. [00:41:11] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:41:12] Speaker B: Okay, very good. You head back down to the courtyard. [00:41:16] Speaker G: I'm done. I'm all out of ideas now. [00:41:18] Speaker D: Okay, I'll be in the back. Who's going to take point? [00:41:21] Speaker F: I'll take point. [00:41:22] Speaker B: So where are you guys? Are you guys heading back south, back to where you came to explore more of those rooms, or are you going to head north to explore the unknown? The unknown? [00:41:35] Speaker H: Let's put the party each person goes. [00:41:39] Speaker G: Into a different room. [00:41:40] Speaker B: Okay. [00:41:40] Speaker E: What I would like clue. Yeah. What I would suggest, I think we've already cleared out a good portion of that side. We saw the barracks and the amphitheater, wherever the hell that was. So there's only like half of that side left. Let's finish that and then we can go to the other side. [00:42:01] Speaker F: That's fair. [00:42:02] Speaker G: Sounds good to me. [00:42:03] Speaker B: As the GM, I appreciate that. So I can flip to the right section of my book. Thank you. [00:42:08] Speaker E: I quickly run the wrong way. [00:42:12] Speaker C: I run north. [00:42:13] Speaker B: All right, so you guys go back into the you go back to the auditorium. [00:42:18] Speaker E: Yes. And I would like to rock me on the deus. [00:42:21] Speaker B: Okay. [00:42:24] Speaker C: I was going to say are you. [00:42:26] Speaker F: Just trying to find titles? [00:42:27] Speaker E: Yeah, it's fine. I would like to search this room better now that we're not running through it very quickly. [00:42:32] Speaker D: Rock me on the day. [00:42:33] Speaker B: All right, go ahead and give me a perception check while you're searching the room. Since we are in exploration, how long are you going to spend? [00:42:43] Speaker E: Let's say ten minutes. That seems to be a popular amount of time that things happen. [00:42:47] Speaker B: Right. All right, so Temit, what are you doing while Twin Talon is searching? [00:42:53] Speaker G: So he's searching the room that he entered right there where the pawn is? [00:43:00] Speaker B: Yes, where you guys kind of ran through. You found those insignias that were crumpled up on the floor. [00:43:07] Speaker G: Right. So I'd like to search that room as well. [00:43:09] Speaker B: All right, give me a perception check. And what is Brianna doing? [00:43:15] Speaker F: Brianna would also I'm guessing we've already taken the time to come downstairs and all group up, and she said she would take points, so she will also do some searching herself. [00:43:32] Speaker B: All right. [00:43:33] Speaker E: Perception in the same room? [00:43:34] Speaker B: Sure. You're all in that room now, currently. [00:43:37] Speaker C: I know we found the things that the corgi dragon crushed. Did we search the courtyard? [00:43:44] Speaker E: We didn't. And we also know that there's another lizard creature, but we didn't find out what it is. [00:43:48] Speaker H: That's what I was going to do. [00:43:50] Speaker B: All right, Pond watch. What are you going to do? [00:43:53] Speaker H: It's still in the courtyard. I'm going to look at the rubble to see what kind of crushed lizard creature we uncovered. [00:44:01] Speaker B: All right. Also give me a perception check while you're at it. Silver, what are you doing? [00:44:06] Speaker D: Well, I'm in the courtyard with him. I was going to get, like, a trophy off of the dead iguanda lizard thing. [00:44:17] Speaker B: Okay. And Sereaya. [00:44:19] Speaker C: Yeah, I was also going to search the courtyard. [00:44:21] Speaker B: Okay. So we got the question. We got three people in the courtyard and three people in the just in the next room. Yeah, the auditorium. So we'll start with the courtyard, and then we'll work our way back. What did you guys get for your perception checks? [00:44:34] Speaker H: 22 22 25 natural 20. [00:44:37] Speaker D: Yeah, it's 19 1925. [00:44:40] Speaker B: 22. Right. Great. So as you are investigating the courtyard, you can tell that the collapse here was quite recent. So that's of some note. Also, the creature under the rubble is another one of these dragon kin that was also out here. Dragon corgis. Yes, there was another dragon corgi. There were two of them. One got crushed by the falling rubble. One was recently decapitated. [00:45:13] Speaker D: Are there pelts worth anything? [00:45:18] Speaker F: That's a fair question. Absolutely. [00:45:19] Speaker D: It's like this exotic dragon thing. [00:45:21] Speaker F: Scales, claws, teeth while Sean is looking, if any of you want to draw a dragon corgi and tag us in any of our social media, please do. [00:45:31] Speaker C: Please do. I would love to see you a little. [00:45:33] Speaker H: And what are our social media handles? [00:45:35] Speaker F: Fantastic. That is a great question. We are on Twitter as Cracked Dye. Both the C in Cracked and the D in Die are capitalized on instagram. We are the Cracked Die podcast, and you can also find us on the Facebook as also the Crackdye podcast, and. [00:45:56] Speaker G: We also have a website called Thecrackdypodcast.com. [00:46:01] Speaker F: Thank you, Anwar. [00:46:02] Speaker G: You're welcome. [00:46:03] Speaker C: You can find all of that there questions, comments, concerns. You can email us at [email protected]. [00:46:09] Speaker G: Any complaints, go to Sean at the crackdypeodcast.com. Any praise goes to Anwar at the crackdypedcast. [00:46:17] Speaker D: But if it's praised, it's only about Sean. [00:46:20] Speaker C: Then it goes to me. [00:46:21] Speaker B: That's not that's not going to ever happen. [00:46:24] Speaker G: That goes into the trash folder. [00:46:27] Speaker E: Okay, email us at [email protected]. [00:46:31] Speaker G: Yeah, I'm just being an ass. [00:46:34] Speaker B: That's all you find in the courtyard, you find the crushed body of another one of these dragon corgis, and you can tell that the collapse in this area was recent. [00:46:47] Speaker C: Can we tell if it was like, does it look like it was just because the building is crumbling, or does it look like this was sabotaged in some way? [00:46:54] Speaker B: My notes don't say it was just that it was recent. Okay, cool. That's all I know. [00:47:00] Speaker D: So their pelts aren't worth anything? [00:47:02] Speaker B: Maybe to the right people, but all right, not really. [00:47:07] Speaker D: I'll just pull off like, a tooth of mortal. [00:47:09] Speaker B: All right, thanks, that's fine. [00:47:10] Speaker D: Then I'll hand it to him, he. [00:47:12] Speaker H: Irreverently takes it and puts it in his vest. I save you for later to be desecrated in the volcano. [00:47:26] Speaker C: Pond. Watcher. [00:47:28] Speaker B: Okay, now, for the rest of you who are in the auditorium, see? What did you all roll? [00:47:34] Speaker G: I rolled a whopping twelve. [00:47:36] Speaker B: Okay. Twin? [00:47:38] Speaker E: I got a 17. [00:47:40] Speaker B: Okay, 22. All right, so upon further examination, there's nothing really remarkable about this room. Again, it looks like a meeting room or an auditorium. The only thing of interest that is really found here are the crumpled up old belt flag symbols of the Order of the Nail. Okay. They are loose on the ground, so if you wanted to pick them up, you could. [00:48:05] Speaker H: But this is where they played touch football. [00:48:14] Speaker E: Twin Talon will if he sees them, he'll take them and basically cut them up with his sword. Just like rip the scars in half. All right, throw them back down on the ground. [00:48:27] Speaker G: TEMED notices this. It's just the three of them in the room at the moment, right? [00:48:30] Speaker B: Correct. [00:48:31] Speaker G: All right, so then he feels comfortable maybe just going up to Twin town. Is there something that you'd like to talk about as far as the Hell Knights? [00:48:44] Speaker E: Not necessarily. [00:48:45] Speaker B: Why? [00:48:47] Speaker G: I just noticed you seem to have a little bit of disdain for them, and then he kind of kicks at the not kicks, but like, kind of shuffles. Yeah, shuffles his foot near one of the symbols that you just tore apart. [00:49:02] Speaker E: Well, my family has a little bit of history with them, but it's never good when Hell Knights are in an area. So I am interested to see what they've left behind here. But part of me kind of hopes we find one. [00:49:18] Speaker B: Right. [00:49:20] Speaker G: But if you need to discuss anything about it, puts his hand on his shoulder, let me know. [00:49:27] Speaker D: Why? [00:49:27] Speaker E: I appreciate that. I think it'll probably be okay. [00:49:32] Speaker G: All right. [00:49:36] Speaker F: I could say the same thing about you. You certainly had quite something to say to everybody upstairs and showing some sort of symbol. Is there something you would like to talk about? [00:49:50] Speaker G: It's just that I've come across quite a few evil groups in my day, and well, let's just say we want to eliminate I think we're like minded. [00:50:04] Speaker C: Quite. [00:50:04] Speaker G: They take freedom away from people and that's not something I can tolerate. [00:50:10] Speaker B: Likewise. [00:50:11] Speaker G: All right, fade to black. [00:50:13] Speaker E: And then everyone walking out with our pants on backwards. [00:50:19] Speaker B: My hair. Everyone goes into the auditorium, I'm assuming after you guys are done in the courtyard? [00:50:27] Speaker C: Yeah, Serea's been probably studying the dead dragon creature around the vomit as much as she can. She knows how to make acid flasks. [00:50:35] Speaker B: So just to kind of research yeah. In the mouth, you definitely see some glands that produce not acid necessarily, because it wasn't really like an acid, but it's definitely a nauseating poison. Poison sack. You all pile into this auditorium area. Where are you heading next? You can continue to head west, which is the areas you haven't explored. There are three doors, one closer to the southern wall and then two closer to the northern to the gate that you guys came through to the courtyard. [00:51:19] Speaker G: So I say we continue the original idea, which was to explore this section that we're in. So we continue to head west. [00:51:28] Speaker E: Okay, well, they're all to the west. [00:51:29] Speaker B: Yeah, they're all to the west. [00:51:30] Speaker H: Well, I mean, southwest. [00:51:32] Speaker E: Southwest or southwest? [00:51:36] Speaker G: My vote is for southwest. [00:51:37] Speaker B: Yep. [00:51:38] Speaker C: All right, sir. [00:51:40] Speaker B: So who's taking point on this? [00:51:43] Speaker G: Since it was my idea, I think if anything bad happens, I would feel bad. If anyone else dies, I think it's. [00:51:49] Speaker C: Safe to say Surya will never take point again. [00:51:51] Speaker G: Really? [00:51:53] Speaker E: Twin Talent will have his new magic short bow out. [00:51:58] Speaker B: Okay, sweet. [00:52:00] Speaker G: Is it glowing, or what do you feel it's doing? [00:52:06] Speaker B: I don't think so. [00:52:07] Speaker E: I don't think it's glowing, but I think it's probably very nice. Got some extra horn bits coming off of it or something. Kind of elaborate in the way of its construction. And its string maybe has a slight glow to it as he pulls it taut. [00:52:27] Speaker B: Nice. [00:52:27] Speaker C: Very nice. [00:52:28] Speaker B: All right, so remember, all the doors are unlocked unless I tell you otherwise. [00:52:34] Speaker G: Okay, I'm sorry. All of our pawns are blocking, and for some reason, mine's laying on the ground. [00:52:43] Speaker C: Right in front of yours would be the southwest door. [00:52:45] Speaker B: Yeah. The door is right in front of you. [00:52:47] Speaker G: Okay. So first he would like to examine it just to be sure that there's a thievery check. [00:52:53] Speaker B: Oh, wait, no, I'll give you a thievery check. What's your bonus to thievery? [00:52:58] Speaker G: I'm not trained in it, so I don't know if I can even do that. Am I allowed to do it? [00:53:02] Speaker B: Would you like to do this? Twin Talon? [00:53:05] Speaker E: I certainly could. [00:53:06] Speaker G: Hold on, hold on. [00:53:08] Speaker B: Holding. [00:53:10] Speaker C: I imagine you could probably find the traps, but unless you have fevery or thieves tools, you can't disarm them. [00:53:15] Speaker E: No, traps typically have a DC on them. [00:53:18] Speaker B: Yes. [00:53:19] Speaker E: So the trap will have a DC, at least in first edition, there's always one for perception and one for disarm. So if it's the same, then you would need to make perception check first, and then if you found something, you could try to disarm it. But you're not trained, so you can't disarm it, but you could possibly find it, assuming that's how traps work. [00:53:38] Speaker B: Still. They're very similar still, so yes. [00:53:41] Speaker G: All right, I rolled for you. I've got a two plus two. [00:53:45] Speaker B: Okay. [00:53:46] Speaker G: It looks clear perception oh, is that perception? [00:53:49] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:53:50] Speaker G: Plus six. I'm sorry. [00:53:51] Speaker B: It looks clear. [00:53:52] Speaker G: Looks clear. [00:53:53] Speaker B: All right. [00:53:54] Speaker G: So he will gently and gingerly open the door. [00:53:59] Speaker B: Rows of long, slender dining table sit in skewed rows throughout this room. [00:54:04] Speaker H: Oh, my God. [00:54:04] Speaker B: Broken chairs are scattered throughout this chamber, and the entire room has an air of disuse and disarray. [00:54:11] Speaker G: So then I guess since he opened the door, the door is open now. He can see. And I'd like to do another perception check in the room just to see what I can notice. [00:54:21] Speaker B: Well, hang on. [00:54:22] Speaker G: Let's something off. [00:54:23] Speaker B: Check around. What is everyone doing once the door is open? [00:54:26] Speaker E: Twins. Allen is peering kind of over his shoulder, just watching for any movement inside. [00:54:32] Speaker C: Sorry. It's towards the middle of the group. She's got her sling out now. [00:54:35] Speaker F: Okay, what is brianna is at Tammon's shoulder, probably with her shield raised. And should she later do perception? I've already rolled for it. [00:54:48] Speaker B: Excellent. [00:54:50] Speaker H: Pond Watcher is listening at the middle western door. [00:54:54] Speaker B: Okay. Silver. [00:54:56] Speaker D: Silver is keeping an eye behind us in case sun jumps at us. [00:55:03] Speaker G: Would you like me to? [00:55:04] Speaker B: Yes, please. [00:55:07] Speaker E: That is a six on the die. [00:55:10] Speaker B: So I have a total of a 1212 perception. Looking around the room, it looks like. [00:55:16] Speaker G: I just described, but I don't see anyone in there. Okay, it looks clear, guys. Let's head on in. [00:55:24] Speaker B: All right. [00:55:25] Speaker G: So he starts walking in is what I'm saying. All right, does anybody else want to do a perception to make sure? [00:55:31] Speaker B: Like the peanut? [00:55:33] Speaker F: I have a natural 20 on the die for a 23. [00:55:37] Speaker B: You are 100% sure that this room is empty? [00:55:40] Speaker E: There aren't really tables in it. [00:55:42] Speaker B: I mean, there are tables, and it's all broken chairs, but you notice that there are two more doors to the west. [00:55:47] Speaker H: Empty chairs and empty tables. [00:55:50] Speaker B: Thank you. Yes. And one to the south. Pond Watcher, you don't hear anything coming through that door. [00:55:58] Speaker H: I feel useful. [00:56:01] Speaker E: All right, so twin talon will go to the southernmost door. [00:56:05] Speaker B: Okay. The one at the rear of the room. [00:56:08] Speaker E: Yes. [00:56:09] Speaker B: Okay. [00:56:09] Speaker E: And he'll listen at it. He'll look at it for any traps or anything like that. And then if nothing, then he'll try to open it. [00:56:18] Speaker B: All right. Looks clear. [00:56:20] Speaker E: Okay, so he will open the door. [00:56:24] Speaker B: A dust covered black wooden countertop runs along the walls to the southwestern end of this galley style room. It clearly was once a kitchen, but its cupboards and shelves were stripped of most tools and provisions long ago. [00:56:40] Speaker E: Okay, so I'll just take a quick look inside, and if not inside the inside? The kitchen. [00:56:46] Speaker B: Okay. [00:56:47] Speaker G: And I'll be over his shoulder doing the same. [00:56:50] Speaker B: Okay. Where are you looking at the kitchen on the inside, like, opening cupboards and stuff? [00:56:56] Speaker E: No, I'm just from the door. [00:56:57] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:56:58] Speaker E: Just, like, glancing under the table and kind of giving a scan around. [00:57:01] Speaker B: Looks good. [00:57:01] Speaker E: Okay, so then twin talent will move in and kind of motion for everyone else to it's clear and they should follow in. [00:57:09] Speaker B: Excellent. [00:57:10] Speaker G: So Temid will search opening cupboards. [00:57:14] Speaker B: Can you all lovingly place yourselves on the map? [00:57:19] Speaker G: I'm sorry, everyone. [00:57:21] Speaker B: Greeting. [00:57:22] Speaker E: Well, this is how experience happens. Anwar, we're never going to level up if we don't kill all of Sean's monsters. [00:57:27] Speaker C: That's true. [00:57:28] Speaker G: Wait, how many just get to act? But this time I'd like to do something. [00:57:32] Speaker C: So now it's that small, right? [00:57:34] Speaker B: Yes. And now I have to bust open this book. [00:57:40] Speaker D: Bust it. Open the book. [00:57:42] Speaker C: I think Seray is still she's not in the room yet. She was more towards the middle of the crowd. [00:57:47] Speaker D: Okay. [00:57:47] Speaker E: Whereas everybody else want to be. [00:57:49] Speaker F: I think where I am is pretty good. [00:57:51] Speaker D: I was in the back, which either means I'll be fine. [00:57:53] Speaker B: What size? Jesus, that does not sound good. God damn. [00:58:00] Speaker G: Okay, he's messing with us. [00:58:02] Speaker B: I wish. [00:58:03] Speaker D: In bacteria. [00:58:04] Speaker G: Oh, is it a giant spider? [00:58:05] Speaker B: Oh, my God, those things are huge. [00:58:08] Speaker G: No, they can't literally be huge. [00:58:10] Speaker E: They're large. [00:58:12] Speaker G: Well, that's why I said they can't be huge. [00:58:14] Speaker B: All right, so, Temid, you open up one of the cabinets. [00:58:21] Speaker G: I don't remember doing that. I don't know you talking about Kaden. [00:58:25] Speaker D: Kayla can't save you now. [00:58:27] Speaker B: As you open one of the cabinets, bright red spiders swarm out and up your arm as two spider swarms attack you. [00:58:41] Speaker E: Oh, that's not good. [00:58:42] Speaker B: Well, we'll find out what happens next week. [00:58:44] Speaker G: Get the fuck out of here. [00:58:46] Speaker B: Swarms are horrible. They're awful. What will happen next? Will temid survive the spiders? Will our heroes discover the rest of the citadel? Is this temid's last gasp? Find out these answers and more on the next episode of The Cracked Die Podcast.
