[00:00:38] Speaker A: Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to the 63rd episode of the Cracked Die podcast. I can't believe we're here. 63 big changes. I hope everyone liked episode 62 and 62.5. Well, what is up with our group? We have three players now. How are they going to handle all of this? They're missing a damage dealer. They're missing a healer. I don't know. Things look bad for everyone. I also have to say, happy new year. Welcome to 2021. Let's hope things get better. As always, thank you to everyone who is a part of our Patreon. I have two new names to announce. Our newest two patrons are Anwar. You may know him as Temid and Shaka. So thank you to you both for joining our Patreon. We really appreciate it. It helps keep the lights on here at the crack die network. Now, if you can't get enough of the crack die network in your life, well, guess what? I have exciting news. January eastern time. Absalom. In order, more goodness from the network. Twitch tv, crackdye. Come watch. Come see what happens. I can't wait. I'm having a ball playing in that game, and I hope everyone comes and watches it as well. All right, like I always say, I have rambled long enough. Let's go join our greatly reduced party and see what they do now. Welcome to the 63rd episode of the Crack Die podcast. [00:02:50] Speaker B: We're back. [00:02:51] Speaker C: We? [00:02:53] Speaker D: Yeah, this is definitely a low point. [00:02:55] Speaker B: For the three here. [00:02:57] Speaker D: Like, man. [00:02:58] Speaker A: Yeah, there's three of you. Yeah, there's a couple dragon pillars left. [00:03:07] Speaker C: No problem. [00:03:08] Speaker D: We have to rescue a newly ranuli. [00:03:11] Speaker B: We do? [00:03:11] Speaker D: Oh, we should do that. [00:03:13] Speaker B: As well as whatever other kobolds and gurblins that have been left behind. [00:03:19] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't think we've seen any goblins to this point. I know there's definitely cobalt, but I thought they all escaped. [00:03:24] Speaker B: No, I thought there were more in the pit. [00:03:26] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. I could be wrong. I don't remember. [00:03:31] Speaker A: Yeah. Happy 2021, everyone. [00:03:37] Speaker C: Previously on the Cracked Die podcast. [00:03:40] Speaker A: All heroes retreated from the combat after resting and getting healed to full. Two of our heroes snuck off in the pre dawn. Upon realizing two more members of their party had left, Brianna snuck away to scream into the forest. What will our heroes do now that they're down three party members? Will they be able to save Rannouli? Will they be able to topple the rest of the dragon pillars? Find out the answers to these questions and more on this episode of the Crept Die podcast. You lost two party members? They left in the middle of the morning. Before you guys woke up. Thankfully, they healed you all to full. You had saved hezzle, which was the Kobold alchemist that was associated with the other kobolds you met. You know, Rennuli is in. You know what building Rennuli is in. And you know where Hazel told you to go investigate because she left stuff there. There are three of you. You have done a pretty mortal wound to the camp, but there's still stuff there. You know, there's still stuff in. Down in the mine itself. You're pretty sure it'll take a couple days for them to repopulate from the damage you caused. But what are you guys gonna do? [00:05:07] Speaker B: Cry? [00:05:08] Speaker A: Okay. [00:05:09] Speaker D: I mean, yeah. Yeah. [00:05:11] Speaker A: When you. When you left, uh, Brianna actually had stepped away to yell into the forest. Yeah. [00:05:20] Speaker B: Yeah, she's upset, and, uh, I feel like, in. In a small way, she feels like, um, she's to blame for the splintering of the party, so she let it out. Out in the jungle by herself. [00:05:40] Speaker D: So I. For roleplay's sake, have we, like, waited a day to recoup, or are we, like. It's the morning that we found out. [00:05:49] Speaker A: They'Re gone, and it's the morning that you found out they're gone. [00:05:53] Speaker C: Well, here's the thing. If we don't go back to the camp, all our works for nothing, they're going to repopulate. They're going to have all their people back. And despite our friends leaving us, we have to finish what we set out to do here. [00:06:07] Speaker D: I. Yeah. [00:06:08] Speaker C: Whether or not they're part of our group or not. [00:06:10] Speaker D: I would agree with that. I think. I think we need to go back. We need to finish what we're going to do. I'd rather not leave our spider friend there longer than she has to be there. [00:06:19] Speaker C: Exactly. [00:06:20] Speaker D: Do you want to go get Brianna? [00:06:21] Speaker C: Yeah, sure. All right. So it's when telling, we'll go out into the woods. Uh, I'm sure he'll figure out where she is, because I don't think she's, like, sneaking out there, streaming in the. Into the forest. [00:06:32] Speaker B: She's not exactly quiet. She's probably, at this point, punching rocks. She is punching her. Yeah, she's throwing a tantrum. She's on the jungle floor, and it's flailing in leaves. No, I'm kidding. [00:06:54] Speaker D: Everything feels better after, like, a good, like, five minutes of that. [00:06:59] Speaker B: Yeah, probably. No, she's. She probably found a nice boulder, and she's beating her knuckles bloody on it, just letting it out that way. [00:07:12] Speaker C: Brianna? [00:07:13] Speaker B: Yes. I'm. Yes. [00:07:16] Speaker C: If you're if you're done, we really should get going. Renoli still needs our help. [00:07:21] Speaker B: Yes, we should. We should take advantage now that they've been hit. You're right. Let's go. [00:07:29] Speaker C: All right, so twin Talon, having seen the camp a bit while we were there, and knowing that the things that we actually want are on the southeast end of the camp, he would recommend coming in from that side rather than coming in from the southwest again and then going like all the way across the camp to get to the stuff, I mean. [00:07:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:07:47] Speaker A: So you guys are going to stealthily attempt to stealthily move around? [00:07:52] Speaker C: We're not going to move around on this map. We have the morning to get to the other side of the camp. [00:07:57] Speaker A: That's true. [00:07:58] Speaker C: It's only like 200ft. Hopefully we can move that far. [00:08:02] Speaker A: Yeah. And you still have Denver, the Mokole membe. In fact, you can all control Denver now. [00:08:09] Speaker D: Yay. [00:08:11] Speaker C: So the fun part I remembered about him is even though he shouldn't be, he's more stealthy than any of us. [00:08:16] Speaker A: Yes. [00:08:18] Speaker C: I'm guessing it's got to be because of like natural camouflage or something. There's no way. It's because. [00:08:22] Speaker A: All right, I just moved you guys stealthily around to the other side of the camp. Is this where you want to be? [00:08:28] Speaker B: Yes, Matt. [00:08:30] Speaker C: Yep, it looks good. [00:08:31] Speaker A: So you are all stealthily there. You see there? There are sick beds with some sick creatures on there. It looks mostly like boggards and chuterka. And then you see that outside of that, you definitely see that there is one with a crop. One of the crossbow wielding boggards that you guys that didn't find you guys last time is definitely there. [00:08:56] Speaker B: Okay, so what's the plan then? [00:08:59] Speaker C: What is, what are these buildings made of? Wood. Cloth? [00:09:03] Speaker A: Yeah, wood. Let's see. That's a good question. [00:09:08] Speaker C: If they're tents, I have one plan. And if they're not tents, I have a different plan. [00:09:12] Speaker A: They'd appear to be rough wooden lodges that appear to be run down at first glance. [00:09:17] Speaker C: Okay. [00:09:18] Speaker A: But a closer look reveals the sturdy and watertight construction. Thick gnarled trees packed with reeds and mud form the walls, while pillars of rattan create an insulating roof. [00:09:30] Speaker D: Okay, do we still have the things of gunpowder? Is that your plan? [00:09:33] Speaker C: No, I'm still using. I'm waiting for the, I mean, we do have those, but I'm waiting for the fortress to use those. I think we should move to the rear of the building, which is away from everything. And from there we kind of peek around and see if we can get a better view of our resistance. [00:09:49] Speaker B: Okay. [00:09:50] Speaker A: They are Saraya, before everyone moves, Surya, you notice that there is a window on the bottom on the southern, wet southern wall. Thank you. I couldn't figure out my map coordinates on the southern wall. Right where my mouse is. [00:10:05] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. [00:10:06] Speaker A: It is close to the boggarts and things, but you could definitely peek in there. Unless you guys want to try and go around the north. [00:10:13] Speaker C: I at least want to move to the edge of the corner, north corner and just kind of peek around the edge there to see if I can see anything better. Gotcha. [00:10:19] Speaker A: All right. Yeah. So go ahead and move. You can move where you'd like. [00:10:22] Speaker C: You can move wherever you like. [00:10:25] Speaker A: As you move up there, you do see that there is a window also on the north, a little further back. I'm going to ask you to roll your stealth just to see how, how well y'all are moving. You all have started to stealth. [00:10:45] Speaker B: Are we going to the window then? [00:10:47] Speaker C: From the window to the wall, I think. [00:10:49] Speaker D: Okay. [00:10:50] Speaker C: A sneaky sneak. And again, I'm telling Denver to kind of wait behind us in the foliage there. [00:10:55] Speaker A: All right. [00:10:56] Speaker C: And the window is at this point, the building is between us and the one guy we could see previously. [00:11:03] Speaker A: So you see Rennuli in the building. You also see a churica in there. [00:11:10] Speaker B: Are they facing away from us? [00:11:12] Speaker A: They're actually like facing towards Rannouli. [00:11:16] Speaker B: Oh, boy. [00:11:17] Speaker A: And this looks like the smaller. So you remember that massive fight in the fog that was really fast? [00:11:23] Speaker B: Yep, super fast. [00:11:26] Speaker A: Remember how there were like beefier looking ones and then like skinnier, less strong looking ones? [00:11:31] Speaker B: Yep, yep. [00:11:32] Speaker A: This looks like one of the skinnier, less strong looking ones. [00:11:35] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm convinced we picked a fight with all of the most difficult creatures at one time. [00:11:40] Speaker B: Probably. [00:11:42] Speaker D: That's kind of what we do. Yep. [00:11:45] Speaker A: You also see that renewal is laying on the bed. So she is prone and you can probably tell she is unconscious. [00:11:52] Speaker C: She also has lots of conditions on her. [00:11:54] Speaker A: Yes. [00:11:57] Speaker C: Okay, so what are these windows made of? [00:12:02] Speaker A: These are actually just essentially holes. There's not glass or anything there. [00:12:09] Speaker C: Okay. [00:12:10] Speaker A: As you approach that window, just a smell of humidity and frog and monkey musk kind of eeks through there. Also the smell of smoked meat and fur. Not a pleasant smell. [00:12:29] Speaker C: Yum. Okay, so, all right. Okay, so I'm gonna try to lure him over the window. I mean, we can get him without alerting anybody else. [00:12:42] Speaker B: You want to grab him through the window? Is that what you're saying? [00:12:45] Speaker C: No, I'm just gonna stab him right in the eyeball, and hopefully I'll kill him if he's not expecting it. [00:12:50] Speaker B: If not, I'll be ready to grab. And, Sarai, if you want to, like, feed him a poison potion if all else fails, I suppose. [00:13:01] Speaker D: Oh, I can do that. Yes, absolutely. What would you prefer? I can. I have graveroot. I have a number. [00:13:10] Speaker B: Brianna will look between them because they seem to know more about poisons than she does. [00:13:16] Speaker C: I think if I don't kill him in one hit, if we don't take him out immediately, he's going to alert other people, so. [00:13:22] Speaker B: Right. [00:13:22] Speaker D: I would agree with that. [00:13:24] Speaker B: Right. Which is why I said that, should that fail, I'll pull him through, pry his mouth open, and say, I will feed him. Sure. [00:13:31] Speaker C: At that point, you guys can do whatever you want. I have no preferences. [00:13:34] Speaker B: Okay. [00:13:36] Speaker D: Would you like me to throw a projectile at him first? I have the telekinetic projectile cantrip, which. [00:13:45] Speaker B: I'm concerned, that will alert him and make him run, maybe. [00:13:50] Speaker C: I don't. [00:13:51] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:13:52] Speaker C: I don't want to hurt him. I just want to, like, make him curious about what's at the window. [00:13:56] Speaker D: Oh, okay. I was going to say you don't want to hurt him. You just want to stab him in the eye. [00:14:01] Speaker C: Not before he's here. I would like to kill him in one blow. I want him. I want to be go from undamaged to dead. [00:14:07] Speaker D: All right, let's. [00:14:08] Speaker C: Let's see if we can, if possible. Uh, I remember, like, these guys were not tough at all compared to the other. [00:14:15] Speaker D: Yeah, the. Some of them were definitely just kind of. [00:14:19] Speaker C: So if you guys want to flatten yourself against the end of the building here, or maybe either sort of the window, whatever you want to do, you got it. All right. And then once they are kind of hidden from sight to and down, and we'll kind of crouch down below the window and try to make, like, scraping noises at the window sill. [00:14:37] Speaker D: Oh, wait. Before you. Before you do that, Soraya's just gonna, like, tap you and hand you a vial that's full of an opaque white SAP. It's graveroot poison that you can. It's an injury poison. So you can put it on your blade. [00:14:52] Speaker C: Okay, so he will. You will apply it to his blade. [00:14:55] Speaker A: All right. [00:14:57] Speaker C: And then he will. Yeah, scratch at the window sill to. While being below it. Yeah. Trying to get him to come toward it. [00:15:06] Speaker A: Hey, he manu. He comes. He kind of looks around and walks right up to the window. Cause if anything, these have not been known to be the most intelligent creatures. [00:15:16] Speaker C: Oh. And then I'm going to just stab him right in the face as hard as possible. [00:15:23] Speaker A: All right, give me an attack roll. [00:15:27] Speaker C: Oh, boy. Hey, Sean, do we have any hero points? [00:15:30] Speaker A: Oh, maybe. Yeah, I'm gonna give everyone a hero point. [00:15:35] Speaker D: Yeah, we don't want this roll to go bad. [00:15:38] Speaker C: Yeah, this is the. Yes. [00:15:40] Speaker A: New year. Everyone gets hero points. [00:15:44] Speaker C: Same shit. I mean, what. All right, here we go. And assuming he survives. Not bad, not bad. 32 to his flat footed versus his flat footed ac. [00:16:00] Speaker A: Let's see. Flat footed 32 will be a critical. [00:16:05] Speaker C: Okay, cool. [00:16:07] Speaker B: Very, very nice. [00:16:09] Speaker C: So. Oh, there they are. Right. Crit hit. Overreaction. Shit. Normal damage, the target triggers reactions as if it had just used a move action. It was also flat footed until the end of its next turn. [00:16:23] Speaker A: So how much damage did you do? [00:16:26] Speaker C: So it's 14. [00:16:28] Speaker D: Plus it's one d ten poison for the grave root. DC 19. Fortitude. [00:16:34] Speaker C: Okay, plus six, plus six, plus six sneak is 20. Plus. Whatever the graver is, is he dead with 20 hit points of damage? [00:16:43] Speaker A: Uh, yes. [00:16:44] Speaker C: Okay, sweet. [00:16:46] Speaker A: You. You hear. You hear the body slump to the ground. [00:16:50] Speaker C: All right, uh, Quintana would like to reach in and grab him and drag him out through the window and then just stow him in the. In the treeline. [00:16:58] Speaker A: All right. You managed to sneak. Sneak away and stow him dead in the treeline. [00:17:05] Speaker C: All right. And then I'm going to put a cardboard box on, and I'm going to sneak back. [00:17:09] Speaker A: Okay. [00:17:11] Speaker C: Um. All right, so from. From the window, does it look like anybody else is inside of the tent? I mean, I doesn't look to me like anybody else's, from what I can see. Do I hear anybody else moving around? [00:17:21] Speaker A: Seems very quiet in there. [00:17:23] Speaker C: All right, so then twin Talon will try to climb through the window, assuming it. It's just a hole, so it's big. [00:17:29] Speaker A: Enough for you to get through. So you hop on through. [00:17:33] Speaker C: Hop on by. All right, so he'll look around and these other beds are empty. [00:17:39] Speaker A: Yep. [00:17:40] Speaker C: All right. [00:17:40] Speaker A: You would guess that's where all of the other ones were sleeping when you caused a commotion outside. [00:17:46] Speaker C: Okay. [00:17:47] Speaker A: And they came running out. All right, so slaughtered them. [00:17:50] Speaker C: We'll pop his head back out. Back out and be like, there's nobody else in here. Come on in. [00:17:56] Speaker B: Okay. And she'll pass the information to. [00:17:59] Speaker A: Sorry. [00:17:59] Speaker B: I said, yeah, come on, everyone. [00:18:03] Speaker A: Everyone hops through the window. [00:18:05] Speaker C: Yep. [00:18:06] Speaker B: So I have a question. [00:18:10] Speaker A: I might have an answer. [00:18:11] Speaker B: We've been saying Rennuli for I don't know how many episodes. [00:18:15] Speaker A: Yep. It's Renali. [00:18:18] Speaker B: Okay, I was gonna ask if it was either a typo or. [00:18:23] Speaker A: I realized that when I was resetting up the maps. [00:18:27] Speaker D: Sean can't spell, and Sean can't read. [00:18:31] Speaker A: It's another bramble. Bramble brusher. [00:18:36] Speaker B: You know what? It's whatever. It's whatever you decide it is, okay? It's our version of age of ashes, and that's it. [00:18:48] Speaker A: Rinali. It's Renali. [00:18:52] Speaker B: Well, since. How about since we've been saying Rennuli forever, let's just continue, I guess. [00:18:59] Speaker A: Artist formerly known as renewal. Yes. [00:19:05] Speaker B: Okay. [00:19:07] Speaker A: I'd say the symbol, but it's hard to pronounce, is unconscious and in the bed with a blindfold on. And, yeah, she's also flat footed, so sweet sneak attacker. [00:19:25] Speaker B: No. [00:19:26] Speaker A: Yep. [00:19:27] Speaker B: No. [00:19:28] Speaker C: Oh, sorry. I got carried away. [00:19:32] Speaker B: Brianna would like to examine her a little bit further and apply any and all knowledge that Tem had left her. So perhaps a medicine check? [00:19:44] Speaker A: Yeah, give me a medicine check. Actually, wait, wait. It's a secret medicine check. [00:19:51] Speaker B: Well, I rolled a 29. [00:19:53] Speaker A: 29. You can tell she has just been knocked unconscious. Health hit. Point wise, she is fine. She's just unconscious and blindfolded. [00:20:06] Speaker B: Okay, so Brianna will remove her blindfold and turn to Surya and say, do you have anything, like maybe smelling salts or something to bring somebody back from unconsciousness? [00:20:22] Speaker D: I actually don't have a recipe for smelling salts. I don't know if it's technically an alchemical formula. [00:20:30] Speaker C: It might be something like that in the healing kit. [00:20:32] Speaker B: Oh, that's true. [00:20:33] Speaker D: That might be a better place to look. Okay, I've heard, but, you know, dousing someone in the face with waterworks, I. [00:20:42] Speaker B: Don'T know if there is water nearby, but let me look and see what this kit that the demo left me has. And she'll rummage around. I'm guessing she'll find smelling salts in there or something equally potent, like tepid farts. Bottled tebow farts, or something like that. [00:20:57] Speaker A: Yeah, bottle, eau de toilette. That is timid. So, yes, you do find some smelling salts in there. [00:21:08] Speaker B: Okay. [00:21:08] Speaker A: They're actually not an item anymore, as far as I could find. [00:21:11] Speaker B: Oh, interesting. [00:21:13] Speaker A: But you find them anyway. [00:21:14] Speaker B: Well, thank you. Thanks for that. [00:21:15] Speaker A: You're welcome. [00:21:16] Speaker B: And then she'll. She'll gently kind of wave the bottle under Renali's nose and hope she. She awakes. [00:21:25] Speaker A: She does indeed wake up. I'm assuming you take off the blindfold. [00:21:31] Speaker B: Yeah, that's. That's what I did first. [00:21:32] Speaker C: Yeah, she said that. [00:21:33] Speaker A: Oh, sorry. I was. That she kind of sits up, confused, obviously, and, uh, looks around. Where. Where am I? [00:21:46] Speaker B: Renali. We were, we found you in this, this camp full of Churuka and. Oh, geez. What were the frog people called? [00:21:57] Speaker A: Boggers. [00:21:57] Speaker B: Thank you. Sorry, my brain. Churukan and boggarts. Are you okay? It looks like they had captured you or something. What's the last thing you remember? [00:22:08] Speaker A: I was looking around here and I found this mine. As I was coming back to tell you about it, I was attacked by these flying creatures. They looked like demons. And I was grabbed and beaten and brought here. [00:22:25] Speaker D: So. [00:22:26] Speaker B: Sorry. Um, I, I did not see that any of your. You have any more wounds. They, they seem to have cleaned that up for you. Um, but we're here to rescue you and I think we've taken care of the demons. That she'll look at her other two companions just to corroborate that that was exactly what, what they had fought, whether it was the Vrox or the, the other. [00:22:47] Speaker A: Uh, she, her description is of the Sabbath sands. [00:22:50] Speaker B: Okay. [00:22:50] Speaker A: Took care of. [00:22:51] Speaker D: Oh, okay. Yeah, perfect. [00:22:53] Speaker B: We, we handle those. Don't worry, they won't, they won't hurt you anymore. [00:22:58] Speaker A: That's, that's good. Okay, uh, where is everyone else? [00:23:02] Speaker B: She'll point to twin Talon and then to Surya. This, this is it. This is us. [00:23:10] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:23:12] Speaker B: Demod and pawn watcher decided to go their own way. [00:23:17] Speaker A: Oh. [00:23:18] Speaker B: We decided it was more important to come and find you and finish what we started. [00:23:24] Speaker A: Well, thank you. Well, I noticed twin talon stepped towards the door. [00:23:29] Speaker C: Yes. Twin Talon is basically just keeping watch of the door so we don't get surprised. [00:23:33] Speaker A: Okay. [00:23:34] Speaker C: Once this is all taken care of, he'll try to peek out the door. But I didn't want to do anything until everybody here was ready to rock and roll if something happened. [00:23:43] Speaker B: Wait, you didn't want to kite everybody in the camp and bring them here? [00:23:47] Speaker C: I thought about it. I was like, what would sean do? And then I didn't do that. [00:23:54] Speaker A: So you made it less fun. Yeah, I got you. [00:23:57] Speaker D: Hey, everybody. Every third Saturday watch. Absolutely. [00:24:06] Speaker A: All right, so I just rolled a perception, actually. It would be stealth, wouldn't it? [00:24:12] Speaker C: For I don't know what you're doing. [00:24:14] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:24:14] Speaker A: To peak. [00:24:15] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Yes. Perception or stealthily? Both. Perception to see what I see and stealth to see what they see. [00:24:23] Speaker D: Right. [00:24:24] Speaker A: You, you sneak a little peek outside and you see six beds. On those six bedrooms beds. You see two churica that are there. Their fur looks faded and mottled and a little yellow. You see three boggards whose skin also looks very faded and dry and crackling. And, you know, for frog people, that's not good. They also seem to have some yellow tinge on them and a single goblin. [00:24:59] Speaker B: So goblin? [00:25:01] Speaker A: Yes. [00:25:01] Speaker C: So the mud around the pit was yellow, right? [00:25:03] Speaker A: Yes. [00:25:04] Speaker C: I'm wondering. So remember the. The cobalt that we met that were mining here, we think is where they're mining. They all had arsenic poisoning. [00:25:12] Speaker B: Do you think these guys are also poisoned with arsenic? [00:25:16] Speaker C: I'm betting that's what all that yellow stuff is. If it's not gold, I'm assuming that just like throwing the gold out with the mud, I bet they're all poisoned with arsenic. I bet it's like, contaminated. [00:25:25] Speaker B: This is shiny rock. Fling it away. [00:25:28] Speaker A: Talon. Twin talon. [00:25:29] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:25:30] Speaker A: Gaining a second hero point for figuring out that the mud has arsenic in it. [00:25:38] Speaker C: Ooh. Well, if anybody should know anything about arsenic. [00:25:42] Speaker D: Yeah, I wonder twin Talon is the one that figures that out. [00:25:49] Speaker B: Totally not suspicious at all. [00:25:53] Speaker C: Okay, cool. All right, so if they have arsenic poisoning. Well, there's just one lone goblin. We haven't seen any goblins in the gym wang expanse. [00:26:00] Speaker B: So I must say I was kind of hoping, for whatever reason, my brain thought that the kobolds were goblins. I don't know why. [00:26:09] Speaker D: Kobolds are mighty dragons. [00:26:12] Speaker B: One goblin here, one goblin with some. [00:26:15] Speaker A: Yellow around their hands and mouth. [00:26:18] Speaker C: I assume. I assume they've just been shoving it into their face. [00:26:23] Speaker A: Their hands look pretty broken and busted up. Actually, like, even for goblet hands. Like, the knuckles aren't necessarily where they should be. [00:26:33] Speaker C: Does he have extra knuckles or she. [00:26:38] Speaker A: I don't know if they'd be extra knuckles. They look kind of like. So have you ever, like, pounded a chicken breast flat? Oh, no. That's kind of what the hands look like. Yeah, everything's. Everything's broken. [00:26:55] Speaker C: All right, cool. [00:26:56] Speaker A: I don't know if goblins have bones. They might have cartilage, but I assume whatever. Whatever it is has been pounded into a fine paste. A paste. [00:27:06] Speaker C: Okay, do I see anybody else? There was that one bogger with a crossbow. Is there any more guards other than that one? [00:27:13] Speaker A: Oh, yes. You, out. Not on the beds. You see four boggards with crossbows. [00:27:18] Speaker C: Okay, so Donald poke his head back in. I see four boggars with crossbows. Six beds with injured. What I'm assuming are workers out there? Okay, Renali, are you. How are you feeling? Are you in shape to fight or. [00:27:31] Speaker A: No, I'm not that good at it, but I can try. I mean, don't I have some spells. [00:27:37] Speaker C: We came to rescue you specifically. So if in doing that you end up dying, that's not worth us not worthy of risking yourself. Also, only you know what you're capable of. But I say the three of us try to take out those cards if we can. I mean, that might alert people in the camp, but I don't know how many people are left. [00:27:52] Speaker D: We did take out a good number of them last time. [00:27:54] Speaker C: Yeah, you did. [00:27:56] Speaker D: We can send Renali out to mind. Fetch command, Denver. [00:28:02] Speaker B: I mean, if they know each other. And Denver would listen to Renali. [00:28:08] Speaker C: No, I mean, I can go get him too. I don't. [00:28:11] Speaker A: I'm not that good with animals. [00:28:12] Speaker C: That's fine. I'll take care of Denver. [00:28:17] Speaker B: I think would be fine. [00:28:18] Speaker D: Exactly. [00:28:20] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, I don't know if we can lure one in here, but if not, what, what kind of formation are they? Like in a line or what? Where are they? Like scattered? How are the boggles with. [00:28:30] Speaker A: I'm gonna open the door. [00:28:32] Speaker C: Okay. [00:28:33] Speaker A: Can you see through there now? [00:28:35] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:28:35] Speaker C: See some of them? Yep. Okay, let me shift myself. Okay. There's the rest of them. The goblin is dragon outfit. [00:28:43] Speaker A: It's the best goblin image I could find. [00:28:47] Speaker D: Also. [00:28:50] Speaker A: I wanted, I wanted Haya to feel better by getting cobalt and goblins mixed up. I just made the goblin wear a dragon outfit. [00:29:00] Speaker C: Cool. [00:29:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:29:01] Speaker C: So the top one is the northwest one is the goblin. Then there's a Chiricah, then three boggards, and then a church at the bottom. [00:29:08] Speaker A: Yeah. You just by looking at these goblins and Chiricah and boggarts, like, they don't look good. Most of them seem to be unconscious, prone and like, not, not in good shape. Poisoned, sickened. Just to throw some conditions out there. Fatigued, wounded, enfeebled. Yeah. One of them, I believe is doomed. [00:29:37] Speaker B: Geez, what does doom do? I need to know. [00:29:41] Speaker A: It. It's doomed to. And they are. Reduces the. How far, like, is it like dying to. Yeah, it reduces. Yeah. Yeah. You basically started dying too, so you could only get two rolls to stay stabilized. Yeah. [00:29:58] Speaker C: So twin Talon, if I don't think we can lure one in here. Twin Talon has a plan. So he'll be like, okay, guys, just wait by the door. Or ladies, I should say, just wait by the door and come out when you. When I give you the sign. [00:30:14] Speaker B: Oh, okay. [00:30:15] Speaker C: All right. Twin Talon's gonna move to the window and he's gonna climb back out the window. So twintallon runs off into the forest. [00:30:22] Speaker A: Uh oh. [00:30:24] Speaker C: And gonna sneak with sneaky Denver. [00:30:27] Speaker A: Yes. [00:30:29] Speaker C: As he rolls by the window. If you guys are paying attention, you. [00:30:33] Speaker A: Feel the ground shaking as he. [00:30:35] Speaker B: Oh, boy. [00:30:35] Speaker C: No, I feel the earth move under my feet. Yeah. You see Denver like picking up his, his feet in like a very cartoony, stealthy fashion. And to start the initiative, I'm going to have Denver basically run out. I'm going to command Denver to basically move out to. What is his speed? It's fairly decent, isn't it? [00:31:09] Speaker A: 35. 30. I'm sorry, 35. [00:31:14] Speaker C: Okay, so he'll move there and then he will just trample straight downward because they're all in a, in a line. Well, they're all within three squares. So yeah, he's just gonna run straight through them. And that will be twin talons. First action of the round is. First action is to command Denver. [00:31:29] Speaker A: Okay, let's, you know what? Let's do this. Let's roll. Initiative sounds good. All right. [00:31:38] Speaker D: So traumatic. [00:31:40] Speaker A: I know. [00:31:41] Speaker C: Why are there only three boggards on here? [00:31:43] Speaker A: Oh, because Denver is crushing one. [00:31:47] Speaker D: She literally standing on one. [00:31:49] Speaker A: Yeah. Here we go. Denver goes first. So 14 points of damage, but the boggers get to try and jump out. [00:32:02] Speaker D: Of the way of the rampaging dinosaur. [00:32:05] Speaker A: Of the rampaging dinosaur. [00:32:08] Speaker B: Lame. [00:32:08] Speaker A: Let's do a reflex save. So the DC to save for them is a DC 28. None of them save, none of them critically fail. But none of them save. Actually, that's not true. One of them, two of them critically fail. Oh, geez. [00:32:30] Speaker C: So they take double damage? [00:32:32] Speaker A: Yes, they do. So two of them take 28 points of damage. [00:32:37] Speaker B: Yikes. [00:32:38] Speaker C: So this huge dinosaur is crouching behind the building, just sprints out, kind of does a drifting turn and tramples over these four horrified boggards. I love doing two of which. Yeah, I pulled his handbrake, so it was fine. Just Tokyo drifting around the beds. And we got two of them. I don't know, they saw the dinosaur and they just like laid down to let him trample them or what? [00:33:12] Speaker A: I mean, they didn't. [00:33:15] Speaker C: Well, we're fucked. I'm just like, I quit. [00:33:18] Speaker A: So next up is one of the boggarts who freaks out that a dinosaur just rounded on him. So his first action is to. It's called a terrifying croak, but it's really just being terrified. [00:33:46] Speaker C: Terrifying to croak? [00:33:48] Speaker A: Terrified croak, yes. Any bogger within 30ft becomes frightened one. Any boggered within 30ft, any non bogger. [00:33:59] Speaker C: Okay. I was like, that's a weird ability to, like, terrify their own people. [00:34:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:34:03] Speaker D: Right. [00:34:03] Speaker A: So Denver and everyone in the beds. Who is conscious needs to make a will save. [00:34:15] Speaker B: I don't know if I can make a will save, but I can definitely do a will. [00:34:18] Speaker A: Say, though, you're. Oh, yeah. You are with it there. [00:34:21] Speaker D: Am I? [00:34:21] Speaker B: I believe so, yes. [00:34:23] Speaker A: Let's find out. No, Brianna, you are 40ft out. [00:34:29] Speaker B: Oh, poop. I'm counted then. Sorry, my bad. [00:34:34] Speaker A: All right, everyone saves, so no big deal. That was his first action. Second action is to turn and catch and spell at Denver. 20 versus Denver's ac of 27 will miss. [00:35:00] Speaker D: Good. [00:35:01] Speaker A: All right, twin Talon, it is your turn. [00:35:05] Speaker C: All right, so twin Talon is going to advance from his fighting spot. 1525. Then he will move again. 510. 15. And then with his last action, he is going to attack the Boggart, the northmost boggard. [00:35:36] Speaker A: All right, that is one that took the double damage. [00:35:41] Speaker C: Oh, good. Well, with any luck, he'll be singly dead. [00:35:46] Speaker D: Yes, please. [00:35:48] Speaker C: 33 to hit his flat footed ac. [00:35:50] Speaker A: Holy cow, that is a crit. Yeah, it's quite. [00:36:03] Speaker C: All right. So let's do the base damage first. So that's ten plus nine is 1920 because it's a sneak attack. So it's 20 damage is his base damage before I roll a crit or anything else. [00:36:20] Speaker A: All right, draw that crit card. [00:36:22] Speaker C: Okay. Number six piercing, triple damage organ scramble. Also, I can choose to make him fatigued if I want, so. Sure. [00:36:34] Speaker A: Can't make a dead thing fatigue. [00:36:36] Speaker C: Well, still takes 60 damage. It feels good. [00:36:40] Speaker D: I imagine you just stick your sword in and then like, move it like a whisk. And that's how we get the organ scramble. [00:36:49] Speaker A: Now at Denny's. [00:36:50] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:36:52] Speaker A: Denny's sponsor us tele goblin. [00:36:55] Speaker D: Denny's wouldn't have an organ scramble. [00:36:57] Speaker C: It definitely would. Oh, and then as my. My only reaction that I've ever had, ever, I'm going to point at the closest boggard and try to demoralize him. [00:37:10] Speaker A: Okay, that is versus his will. [00:37:13] Speaker C: DC. Will. DC, I believe. [00:37:14] Speaker A: Yep. [00:37:17] Speaker C: 16. I never get this. It's not good. But there you go. [00:37:23] Speaker A: One of the other boggards decides to turn and see. Here's the dying croaks of his colleague. Sees this murderous creature named Twintalon. Although he doesn't know that. [00:37:43] Speaker B: You mean Twintelle doesn't have a name tag? [00:37:45] Speaker A: Nope, not yet. I mean, he might does. [00:37:48] Speaker C: He says, hello, my name is Twintelle, and I'll be murdering you today. [00:37:51] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:37:52] Speaker D: How can I stab you today? [00:37:55] Speaker C: Yeah, he had a dob. The thing is, he ran around the corner with this goblin dog slicer just jammed into the gut of this boggard who was stunned by a dinosaur running him over and he. [00:38:09] Speaker A: Shoots a ray of frost at Twintalon with a 20 to hit your ac. [00:38:16] Speaker C: No sir. [00:38:17] Speaker A: All right. And then you see him draw a staff out. [00:38:23] Speaker C: Does he, does he drop his crossbow? [00:38:27] Speaker A: Yes. [00:38:27] Speaker C: Okay. [00:38:28] Speaker A: It's a raya. It is your turn. [00:38:31] Speaker D: The dinosaur running by I'm pretty sure alerted her to that. Maybe they should be doing something. So she is gonna, she's gonna pop out here. I am going to. You know I have the feeling that twin Talon has, has this one that's like two squares away from him, well in hand. I'm gonna, I'm gonna go for this. [00:38:54] Speaker B: Guy within 20ft of me. Perfect. [00:38:57] Speaker D: Yes he is. I'm gonna, I'm gonna chuck an alchemist fire at him. So it was a twelve plus 14. 26. [00:39:04] Speaker A: 26. [00:39:05] Speaker D: Okay, will that hit, Chris? [00:39:08] Speaker A: That'll hit. 26 will hit. [00:39:10] Speaker B: Okay. [00:39:11] Speaker D: Damage on that is six. Unfortunately I can't. Anybody else with a splash? [00:39:21] Speaker A: Six fire. So two splash nowhere on him. No. But there is two persistent fire and persistent fire. [00:39:30] Speaker D: So that was action one. Action two, action three. I will do it again. That would be. It was an eight on the die. Plus 14 or plus nine is 1717 will miss. All right, so somebody else gets a splash with a whole bunch of fire. [00:39:48] Speaker A: Okay. Oh no. And then how much? It's too persistent. [00:39:54] Speaker D: Correct. [00:39:55] Speaker A: Still alive but not happy. All right, next on the combat tracker is Brianna. [00:40:04] Speaker B: Who? Um hmm. Is there anybody left? [00:40:09] Speaker D: There are still three boggards outside. [00:40:11] Speaker A: Yeah, there's still three boggarts. [00:40:13] Speaker B: Oh, I also am moving through a wall. [00:40:16] Speaker A: Oh, there we go. [00:40:17] Speaker B: I guess I'll just stay here and take a nap. Um, Brianna, those look so comfy. We've been sleeping on floors forever. I'm pretty sure. Anyway, Brianna will assess the situation. Denver and Surya have taken care of the southernmost one, correct? [00:40:37] Speaker A: Yes. All been hit. [00:40:39] Speaker B: Okay. [00:40:39] Speaker A: The one that is closest to twin Talon was Saraya left alone. The one to the south is the one she attacked and is currently on fire. And then the one to the west. [00:40:53] Speaker D: I guess the western most. [00:40:55] Speaker A: Yeah, the westernmost one has kind of been just like looking and trying to figure things out. [00:41:00] Speaker B: So how wide are these beds? Because I kind of want her to do like a running jump and maybe I'll do a acrobatics I guess. [00:41:09] Speaker A: Sure. [00:41:10] Speaker B: All right, so she'll, she'll leap as best she can. Heels. [00:41:17] Speaker A: Oh geez. [00:41:18] Speaker B: Is, is that right? I don't think that's right. That's fine. Acrobatically with an eleven or athletically, man. Never mind. I can't argue that it would be athletics, would it? What's if I, like, trample through the bed? [00:41:35] Speaker A: Well, you run and you manage to jump up on the bed, which is. It's really not an elevated bed. It's just like a cot. So it's really not even that far off the ground. [00:41:46] Speaker B: Got it. That's two actions so far to move. [00:41:53] Speaker A: And I'll say it was a flavor athletic. So yes, it's one action. [00:41:58] Speaker B: Okay. She'll end up here. So Twintalon can have line of sight and she will swing. How's a 33? [00:42:08] Speaker A: How's a critical? [00:42:09] Speaker B: Awesome. Guys, did you get triple damage again? Starting 2021. Off strong. Back to what we used to do. [00:42:25] Speaker A: Yes. [00:42:25] Speaker B: This one's called lean into the blow. Triple damage. You drop your weapon. I'm guessing. I do I drop my weapon? Or would this. [00:42:35] Speaker A: Yes, you would have to drop your weapon. What, did you lean into it? [00:42:40] Speaker B: Okay, so I'm guessing I stuck my weapon so far into this boggart that it's stuck in there now. [00:42:48] Speaker A: Yes. As the boggart dies. [00:42:50] Speaker B: Okay. [00:42:55] Speaker A: One more action. [00:42:57] Speaker B: I'll take my last action to try and freeze my trusty scimitar from the Bogard. And that is my turn. [00:43:08] Speaker A: All right. Renali, not wanting to be left out, runs out of the 510 15 2025. And then moves again. 510 15 2025. And you see her bite into a bogger. [00:43:41] Speaker C: Gross. [00:43:42] Speaker A: That's a 14 to hit. And that will miss. Back to the top of the round. Denver goes first. [00:43:51] Speaker C: All right, he's. He's his own dinosaur, so whatever he. [00:43:56] Speaker A: Would do, he is, he sees. First thing he's gonna do is take a step forward or a couple steps forward. Next action. Actually, I forget he has reach, so he's fine there. First thing is he's gonna spin his tail at the. The boggard that hasn't been attacked yet for a 27, which will only hit not crit, but will deal 20 points of damage and that will kill boggard. [00:44:29] Speaker B: Nice. [00:44:29] Speaker A: And then the one right by him, he'll snap his jaws at for a 30. Oh my God. Which will critically hit a piercing. Normal damage and the target is deafened until healed. [00:44:44] Speaker D: I guess he bit him right in the ear drums. [00:44:46] Speaker C: Yes. [00:44:47] Speaker A: No, he bit his head right off. [00:44:50] Speaker C: Normal damage is still two d. Twelve plus ten. Holy crap. [00:44:55] Speaker D: Yeah, I guess that ahead you can't. [00:44:56] Speaker A: Really hear for 31 points of damage. And the boggards are dead. And combat is over. Two rounds. [00:45:10] Speaker C: That was real fast and just barely two rounds. [00:45:13] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. So you have these dead or dying boggards and churica that twin Talon discovered was, were poisoned. What are you guys doing? [00:45:25] Speaker C: So what should we do? I'm gonna look at them because so prior to this, the cinder claws and I'll check. The boggers that we just killed have had like, insignias on them, don't they? They have a little claw shaped thing. Do, do all the people on the mats have that too? [00:45:39] Speaker A: Everyone but the goblin has, have those symbols. [00:45:42] Speaker C: All right, so he'll kind of crouch down over the goblin and he'll, he's looking around also to make sure no one's creeping up on them and no one heard anything. And he'll kind of wave the other two over. [00:45:52] Speaker B: Okay. [00:45:55] Speaker C: This one's very strange. He's not. I guess his tongue is just lolling out of his head. Also, fun fact, goblins heads are 80% mouth. [00:46:06] Speaker B: Did you hear that from a centaur? [00:46:08] Speaker C: I did. Centaur told me that one time. But he doesn't have any insignias. We haven't seen any goblins. I wonder if he's part of the. [00:46:16] Speaker B: They're poor hands. [00:46:17] Speaker C: Yeah, he looks real jacked up. But I wonder if he's part of the bramble brashers. [00:46:22] Speaker D: Maybe. Here, let me. I can give him a lesser elixir of life. It'll heal him and give him bonuses to his saving throws against poison. [00:46:31] Speaker C: Okay. [00:46:31] Speaker D: Is it, is it unconscious? The goblin? [00:46:33] Speaker A: Brianna, give me a medicine check. Or Saraya, give me a medicine check. [00:46:37] Speaker D: Whatever you think. I doubt I am any good at medicine check. Oh, I have a plus nine. Okay with the two. No, I'm sure I don't know anything. [00:46:45] Speaker A: He's dead. Come on, Brianna. [00:46:50] Speaker B: 24. [00:46:51] Speaker C: Nice. [00:46:52] Speaker A: You know that he is so mechanically. He is fatigued. Or they are fatigued. Flat footed, prone, sickened. Two and wounded one. [00:47:03] Speaker B: Lord, he's. They are not in good shape. Um, but here, if he is, if. [00:47:08] Speaker D: His head is 80% mouth, just, just open it and I'll pour it in. [00:47:11] Speaker C: Okay? [00:47:12] Speaker B: Okay. Just, just in case they can hear us. We're here to help, friend. Just. We're giving you some healing potion, okay? [00:47:24] Speaker D: I didn't exactly call it that, but close enough. [00:47:27] Speaker B: Well, Brianna will gently try and pull jagged teeth apart like. Oh, geez, so many teeth. Wait, did, did they just burp in my face? [00:47:38] Speaker C: Oh, it certainly smells like something die. [00:47:42] Speaker B: Sulfur. I don't know how that happened. [00:47:47] Speaker D: And I will administer a. Yeah. Lesser elixir of life. So that's three D six plus, uh, three D, six plus six and a plus one against poison saves you. [00:47:59] Speaker A: Pour it down the goblin's throat. What does the goblin do? [00:48:10] Speaker B: What, are you shushing us? [00:48:14] Speaker A: I'm dead. If I'm not dead, I'm in the hole. [00:48:21] Speaker B: No, no. We're here to help you.
