[00:00:38] Speaker A: Hello, hello, hello, and welcome to the 62nd episode of the Crack Die podcast. I'm your host and GM, Sean. And first off, happy new year to everyone. We made it through 2020. We're in 2021. That's a great thing. So we have some very exciting things planned for the new year, and we're going to get to the table because this is a doozy of an episode. But before we do that, we have to give shout outs to our new patrons. We have three new patrons to our Patreon, and I just have to thank them right away. They've been sitting here for a little bit, and it took me a little bit of time to figure out how to generate the list, but I did. [00:02:36] Speaker A: You guys seem so excited to be here. [00:02:40] Speaker D: Well, we are yet again, real rough soon situation. [00:02:46] Speaker B: I'm very worried about that dinosaur. [00:02:49] Speaker A: Well, yes. He only has three hit points left. [00:02:52] Speaker B: That's because you had a Kobold throw a bomb at him. [00:02:55] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it did. [00:02:59] Speaker E: I think this is, like, the first fight where we, like, soundly had our asses handed to us. [00:03:03] Speaker F: That's true. Like, really badly. Barely escaped with our lives. [00:03:08] Speaker C: It's cause I wasn't there. [00:03:10] Speaker D: I mean, yes, you weren't here, Matthew. [00:03:17] Speaker C: Well, you know what? [00:03:18] Speaker F: You still missed a bunch of attacks, so it's like you were here. [00:03:23] Speaker C: Did I. Did I actually hit, what's it called? Not divine lands. Did I hit searing light? [00:03:32] Speaker A: I don't think I rolled searing light, but I did roll a couple of divine lances and they missed. So it was the same. [00:03:39] Speaker C: Yeah, it's like I was there. [00:03:42] Speaker F: I figured something out a couple of weeks ago that was very embarrassing. [00:03:46] Speaker A: Uh oh. [00:03:46] Speaker F: No. [00:03:46] Speaker A: Uh oh. [00:03:47] Speaker F: And it was that. Remember how back in real life when we had real, like, connection with people and met in person, I rolled so badly that everyone, like, really felt bad for how terrible I was. And then we moved online, and I was all of a sudden, like, pretty good and, you know, not like horrible. Not like a horrible character. That was terrible. I realized that eventually that there were different buttons for 1st, second and third attacks. [00:04:23] Speaker B: So you were just first attacking three times in a row? [00:04:25] Speaker F: Yep. [00:04:30] Speaker B: That will certainly make your averages go up. [00:04:33] Speaker D: Absolutely. [00:04:35] Speaker F: And I realized this, like, you know, probably like seven or eight sessions ago and was like, oh. And then when I started doing it correctly, the numbers went right back down for a brief period. Pondwatcher was very proficient, unfucking stoppable. [00:05:01] Speaker A: Oh, well, that's great. So let's just do a real quick recap. [00:05:05] Speaker B: Previously on the Cracked Die podcast. [00:05:08] Speaker G: All heroes continued to fight the churica and boggarts. Temid, missing heels left and right, was unable to help his group. All heroes found themselves in a precarious situation, but managed to survive. There's now a kobold running at them along with some easier looking churica. Will our heroes be able to defeat the Churica? Is this the co world they're looking for? [00:05:50] Speaker D: So since there's a misunderstanding happening, and I really, really don't want Denver the dinosaur to die, she's going to say to her friends, keep going towards the treeline and she will take several steps just out of the fog so the cobalt and yes, I'm sure the, the baddies can see her. She will try and wave them. Be like, no, do not hit the dinosaur. We're here to save you. Come run at me. Come on, let's go. Do I need to roll something else? I get to play diplomacy or something to kind of. [00:06:17] Speaker A: Yeah, why not? Game. What? [00:06:21] Speaker D: You know, this is not a game. [00:06:25] Speaker A: This is life. Anyway, go ahead and give me a either diplomacy or intimidation, depending on what you're trying to. [00:06:34] Speaker D: Um, definitely diplomacy, I think. [00:06:37] Speaker A: How's a 23 23 versus their will DC? All right, so you yell, the Kobold looks at you. So you moved, you yelled. I know you're not really supposed to use diplomacy in combat. Oh, whoops. Because it takes a minute, but, well, we'll say it takes you two actions to yell that then. [00:07:01] Speaker D: In that case, I think it would be. That would be my turn since I've moved and done my yell. [00:07:05] Speaker A: Right. So Denver is running towards twin talon like he was commanded to with trampoline, with no unabanded, just completely, you know, scared. [00:07:23] Speaker B: I did roll a natural 20 on my nature check. [00:07:27] Speaker A: Absolutely. So let's see. I need to pull up Denver's stats. 30ft. 510 15 2025 30 around Brianna. But he is just gonna move straight into the fog. Into the fog, towards the treeline. [00:07:48] Speaker B: So, Sean, I have a question. [00:07:50] Speaker A: Yes. [00:07:51] Speaker B: In first edition Pathfinder, and I don't know if you know the answer is, but in first edition Pathfinder, if you were two size categories different than another creature, you could freeze freely, just move into their space. [00:08:01] Speaker A: Yes. So that is still the same. [00:08:04] Speaker B: So Denver is huge compared to Brianna. So it could just walk straight over her, or any of us, really, if it wanted to. [00:08:12] Speaker A: Yep. So it's just gonna walk over Saraya. It's not trying to trample. So it's moving towards you guys. And now it is next to you. Twin Talon. Okay, the boggart is going. Boggards by the bed are just gonna stay at the bed, not do anything. They're aiming their crossbows at you. [00:08:33] Speaker D: Still lying down. [00:08:34] Speaker A: You are up. No, these are the boggards that are in front of the bed. [00:08:38] Speaker D: Oh, sorry. Not bad. Sorry. Sorry, Edward. Did not mean to interrupt. I just had a very funny mental image of boggarts propped up with one, you know, one elbow up and the crossbow in the other hand. But anyway. [00:08:52] Speaker C: Okay, so temmit looks around and he wants to see. It's actually more like Anmer wants to see who. How injured people are. And is there anyone nearby? I believe I have one heal spell left, and I. And I want to try to get. Get that off, but who needs it the most? Did I see anyone get hit really hard besides big Dino? [00:09:13] Speaker A: Buddy, pond watcher is pretty low. You saw Twinteth Talon actually drop. [00:09:19] Speaker C: Okay. [00:09:19] Speaker A: And get back up. And then you're pretty hurt yourselves. Oh, that's the other thing I forgot. The reason why temid was unable to heal so well was because he's deaf. [00:09:30] Speaker D: Oh, that's right. [00:09:31] Speaker C: Wait, what? [00:09:32] Speaker B: Yeah. Yes, exactly. So every spell you need to make a flat check, and Shawn just rolled like poop for all of your flat checks. [00:09:41] Speaker F: Real, real bad. [00:09:43] Speaker B: Yeah, it's. There's like a 5% chance, and he rolled it, like, times in a row or something. [00:09:48] Speaker F: And there was some. There was many points where you could have saved all of our lives, and it was just. You're too deaf. [00:09:54] Speaker A: So anytime you go to cast, you must make a DC five flat check or you lose your actions and the spell. [00:10:02] Speaker C: That's wonderful. [00:10:03] Speaker D: What caused that again? [00:10:04] Speaker A: One of. The. One of the churica I think they drew. It was either a crit miss or a churica. That definitely got it timid. Also, if you're targeting anyone in the smoke directly, it is a DC five flat check to hit them, which is. [00:10:22] Speaker F: The only reason I'm still alive. [00:10:25] Speaker C: Okay. [00:10:26] Speaker A: Wow. [00:10:26] Speaker C: That's a lot of information. And I'm very worried we had a. [00:10:31] Speaker F: Bad time without you. [00:10:33] Speaker B: Yes. [00:10:35] Speaker F: I was knocked down to the negatives for the first time in this entire campaign, but then they missed on concealment because I think it was a crit, actually. Yeah, I went from, like, 45 hit points to, like, negative 15 or something. It was wild. [00:10:49] Speaker C: Oh, man. Okay, so he's gonna take this opportunity to cast his heal spell. Since he can't really see anybody, he just grabs onto his. His little pendant that looks like a mug, and he. First I roll it d 20 and hopefully get greater than a five. No, I don't. I was just glossing over that like it was going to, you know, like I was definitely gonna get it. And do I. I don't even. Oh, wait, I have a thing. [00:11:23] Speaker A: Yep, you have a hero point. [00:11:24] Speaker C: And I will use it because this is absurd. [00:11:26] Speaker A: Okay, good, good. [00:11:30] Speaker C: Let's pretend like that didn't happen. So, anyways, I'm gonna roll that d 20 because it's definitely gonna be a five or greater. [00:11:35] Speaker A: Right, there we go. [00:11:38] Speaker B: That was almost a three. [00:11:39] Speaker C: That was almost a three. [00:11:40] Speaker A: So on my screen, it hovered on the three for, like, a second, and I was like, oh. [00:11:46] Speaker C: Oh, it's going to be five d eight. No, I'm sorry, four d eight. And we'll see. Hopefully, everybody. Everybody within range will get it. So that's going to be myself, dino buddy, twintalon pawn watcher, and Soraya, unfortunately, Brianna, you're not. You're 10ft outside of the ring. [00:12:06] Speaker D: No worries. [00:12:07] Speaker A: Don't you have the thing where you roll d ten s instead of d eight s? [00:12:10] Speaker C: You are correct. I do. And I was just going to say that. Yeah, I was definitely. All right, so it's not. Not the best, not the worst. It's a pretty average. No, actually, no. It's a very unavage role. It's very low. [00:12:25] Speaker B: It would be more average if they were. [00:12:27] Speaker C: Yes. Yeah. That's why. Where my thought was initially, but, yeah. So 14 hit points total for everybody that I just named. [00:12:35] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:12:36] Speaker A: You're feeling a little bit better, but you do have one d four bleed going on as well. [00:12:44] Speaker C: Wait, I do. [00:12:45] Speaker A: Yeah. Only one point of bleed damage. [00:12:49] Speaker C: So I'm down to 44. [00:12:51] Speaker A: Yep. Make a DC 15 flat check, and we'll see if that bleed, if the bleed continues or if it stops. [00:12:56] Speaker D: Oh, I should probably do that, too, shouldn't I? [00:12:58] Speaker A: Oh, yes, you should. [00:13:00] Speaker C: 1212. So I guess it continues. [00:13:02] Speaker A: Yep. And Brianna, you are taking two points of bleed damage. [00:13:08] Speaker C: Okay, so all that alcohol is causing his blood to not clot properly. And so he's really thinned it out. [00:13:14] Speaker D: Woof. [00:13:15] Speaker A: Oh, what's the DC 15? [00:13:18] Speaker D: Ah, so close. 14. All right, maybe next time. [00:13:23] Speaker A: So that was your three action heal, right? [00:13:25] Speaker C: Yes, that was my three action heal. Yeah. Radius burst. So I'm done for my turn. [00:13:30] Speaker A: All right, twin Talon, you're up. [00:13:31] Speaker B: All right, Sean. So when we met those Kobolds 30 episodes ago, they told us the name of their clan, and Matthew does not remember what the crap they said. It was like this stone scales or. [00:13:51] Speaker A: Ooh. Actually, you are very close. It is the thorn scales. [00:13:55] Speaker B: Thorn scale. [00:13:56] Speaker F: Nice. [00:13:57] Speaker B: So twintalon is going to yell out to e kobold like from the fog. The thornscale sent us. [00:14:04] Speaker F: Come. [00:14:05] Speaker B: Come with us if you want to live. And then for his next action, he's going to make a nature check to see if he can't get the dinosaur to just move further into the woods. Not just come to him, but continue to retreat. All right, 23 versus it's will DC. [00:14:22] Speaker A: We will wait and see what happens. [00:14:24] Speaker B: And then for my third action, I don't know, what is that condition? That's on me, Sean. [00:14:28] Speaker A: The little poisoned. [00:14:29] Speaker B: But what does that do? [00:14:31] Speaker A: Oh, you're taking. I'm sorry, you're not poison. You have acid on you. So you're taking one D six. Acid damage. [00:14:37] Speaker B: Can I take an action to stop taking. Taking that or give myself, like, a flat check, I think. [00:14:43] Speaker A: Yeah. So you can shake it off. Shake it off by trying to remove the acid on your body, which will give you an immediate DC 15 flat check. [00:14:53] Speaker B: Okay, so that's what my third action is. Although my first action was really just a talk. But he will try to do that. It's just a flat check. [00:15:00] Speaker A: Yep. I'll say. Since you're wiping it off, you get a plus two. [00:15:03] Speaker B: Two. So four is not gonna be quite enough. [00:15:08] Speaker A: Nope. [00:15:08] Speaker B: Can I do that more than once around? [00:15:10] Speaker A: I believe you can, as long as you spend an action. [00:15:13] Speaker B: Okay, so my first action was to command the dinosaur. My second action was to try to get the acid off, but I clearly just got it on my hands into my eyes like I was eating hot wings and rubbed my eye. Everybody knows what I'm talking about. And I'm gonna try again. Just lick my fingers. [00:15:30] Speaker A: Oh, sorry. Oh, no. [00:15:33] Speaker B: 13. So not 15. All right. And then I take some damage. [00:15:37] Speaker A: Yep. You're gonna take four points of damage. Woof. And then you get to try one more time. [00:15:43] Speaker D: Come on. [00:15:43] Speaker B: I was one point away from totally healed. That is one of the things that stops. Yeah, bleed and stuff. Come on. Three. [00:15:56] Speaker D: Oh, no. [00:15:57] Speaker B: All right, good turn, good turn. [00:16:02] Speaker A: Boggards are leveling their crossbows at you and kind of looking at the kobold on what to do. Saraya, Ms. Healthypants, thank you very much. [00:16:16] Speaker E: Okay, since twin Talon is. That's timid, right. This is twin right next to me on the dinosaur. [00:16:23] Speaker A: Yes, yes. [00:16:24] Speaker E: Yeah. She's gonna take a step towards you and then hand you or force feed you. Just kind of like stick like the end of the bottle in your mouth. An elixir of life. [00:16:36] Speaker A: Okay, well, he has acid. He's not bleeding. [00:16:39] Speaker E: Okay, well then I will try and help him clear the acid. [00:16:43] Speaker A: Okay. Yep. It gives him an immediate check with a plus two. [00:16:49] Speaker E: If I'm an alchemist, does that always go up? [00:16:51] Speaker A: Does. [00:16:51] Speaker E: I know what I'm doing. [00:16:52] Speaker A: So plus plus two is really what they recommend, they being paizo recommends as like the best option you can give someone. [00:16:59] Speaker B: So I rolled a ten. Well, the plus two is twelve, which is not 15. [00:17:03] Speaker E: Well, I'm gonna keep doing it. [00:17:04] Speaker A: Still on. All right, your third and final action is trying. [00:17:09] Speaker D: I'm just trying to help my friends. [00:17:13] Speaker A: What are you doing? [00:17:16] Speaker D: Just imagining her this whole time. [00:17:19] Speaker F: Hold still. [00:17:19] Speaker A: Yes. [00:17:20] Speaker B: Natural 20. Plus two is 22. [00:17:22] Speaker A: 20. [00:17:22] Speaker C: Nice. [00:17:23] Speaker A: Good job. All right, so the acid is now off of you, but it's on Saraya. No, I'm kidding. [00:17:31] Speaker B: I'm just covered in baking soda. For whatever reason. [00:17:36] Speaker E: You'Re just soaked in vinegar. [00:17:39] Speaker B: I just came from a Wall street party in the eighties. [00:17:44] Speaker D: Roast honey. [00:17:47] Speaker B: Hey, that's how you deal with acid. You put bases. [00:17:50] Speaker E: It's true. [00:17:51] Speaker D: Yep. [00:17:51] Speaker B: Or baking soda. [00:17:52] Speaker C: You drop the base. [00:17:53] Speaker D: That's right. [00:17:54] Speaker B: Yes. [00:17:56] Speaker A: Finally, the kobold looks at you, looks at the boggarts, and yells something in Moangi. Which Moangi? Which twin Talon actually understands? [00:18:12] Speaker B: I do. [00:18:12] Speaker A: And you hear her tell them to stand guard of the prisoners. She will deal with these interlopers in which she will then move forward her blazing fast speed. Second action will be to move directly up to Brianna and say. And you hear her whisper, get me the hell out of here. [00:18:42] Speaker D: You got it. [00:18:44] Speaker A: And then she attacks you. But not really. You see her like throw like a stage punch at you. [00:18:51] Speaker D: Got it. [00:18:52] Speaker A: Pond watcher, you're up. [00:18:53] Speaker F: Yes. Well, I have moved all the way to the edge of the jungle. Here I am going to continue my movement to about. Yay. Move about 20ft south as my friends flee the smoke. And I am going to hold an action to fire my longbow at aggressive peeps that come chasing after us. Because the last thing I heard was we were doing a full retreat. That was my turn. [00:19:22] Speaker A: You are taking a d. Four of bleed. Take four points of bleed damage and then give me a flat check. DC 15. Flat check to stop it, stop it, stop it. [00:19:36] Speaker F: No, 15. [00:19:38] Speaker B: Nice. [00:19:38] Speaker A: 15 on the nose. All right, you're no longer bleeding. [00:19:43] Speaker F: I yell at the blood till it goes back in. [00:19:49] Speaker A: You shout your arm back on. [00:19:50] Speaker H: Get in there, you stupid blood vessels. [00:19:55] Speaker A: Brianna. [00:19:55] Speaker D: Brianna is going to fall backwards. Oh, no. Ouch. I've been hit. And I guess we'll move. I don't know if I could, like, set conditions. Like, if. If she moves, I will move with her. I don't know how to. [00:20:14] Speaker A: Yeah, I'll say that. That's a delay or that's a. Yeah, delay. Okay, I'm gonna delay your action till after she goes. So after she goes. Yep. [00:20:25] Speaker D: Yeah. Cuz I don't want to like, just sprint off and then, heaven forbid something happened that I have to lumber back again and I'm very slow, so. [00:20:33] Speaker A: So the Dino, Dino, Dino. The Denver soar runs away into the trees like you told him to. Good job. The boggard, one of the boggards with a crossbow is aiming at you waiting for hezzle or waiting for the kobold to give you the signal. Temmin. [00:20:52] Speaker C: So Temid wants to run. Run backwards. He wants to run into the. To the forest as well. [00:20:59] Speaker A: All right. [00:20:59] Speaker C: I don't really have anything left as far as healing goes. [00:21:03] Speaker A: Let me guys. Let me ask you guys this. Are you going to stay and fight or are you all just going to retreat? Because if you're just going to retreat, then you know what? Yeah. I'll hand wave it and say you all escape. [00:21:21] Speaker C: Yeah, I think the plan is to leave. [00:21:24] Speaker A: All right. So you all run out of there, tail between your legs, frightened of the terribleness that is going on in that camp. And you retreat. And this kobold comes with you after about 20 minutes or so. You guys don't hear anyone chasing after you? You don't hear anything like that. What are you all doing? [00:21:51] Speaker D: I think we probably need to rest or try and remove its bleed. How do. Yeah, let's demo how happened? How fix this hole. [00:22:02] Speaker A: I'll say you guys managed to take care of all of that. With temed being able to treat wounds and Brianna being able to treat wounds. You guys can patch each other up. You guys managed to establish a little camp. The kobold with you gives you some greater antidotes to if you are poisoned still or you have anything like that. She also offers some elixir, lesser elixirs of life, to top you all off. [00:22:32] Speaker D: Nice. [00:22:33] Speaker A: And she looks at you and explains that her name is indeed Hezzle. And she was in char. She was kept there in charge of the mining operation because people were scared of her alchemy abilities. [00:22:53] Speaker C: Oh, that looks like blood magic, not alchemy. [00:22:58] Speaker B: Yeah. What is alchemy? [00:23:04] Speaker A: She looks at you strange. She tells you that she has been hired, and she uses the word hired very loosely, by the Scarlet triad. And to run and maintain this pit where they're mining gold due to its resonance with ancient draconic magic. Her job at the mine was to determine the divine purity of the golden and send it to the main cinder claw camp for eventual transport to the Scarlet triad. Contacts. She has not had any. She tells you that she hasn't had any personal contact with the triad itself, but she gives you directions to what it, what she calls the Cinder claw fortress. And she warns you, she looks at you and goes, those pillars that you've probably seen are protecting the camp. You should not approach it without first destroying all of them. And she gives. She. On your map, look. She gives you your map and she rips it out of your hands. And on it, she marks where the remaining pillars are. [00:24:25] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [00:24:26] Speaker A: I'm going to transport you to the hex map. And I'm going to reveal the last location of. So I'm going to reveal the locations of the pillars. [00:24:42] Speaker D: Okay. [00:24:44] Speaker A: And the location of the Cinder claw fortress. Yay. [00:24:56] Speaker E: No more blind searching. [00:25:00] Speaker B: All the good stuff's probably in the darkness. [00:25:04] Speaker E: I forgot the note of just very stupid frog people. [00:25:11] Speaker B: Pond Watcher wanted it on the map, so he put it on the map. [00:25:16] Speaker F: Thank you for annotating the map correctly. Oh, we were very close before. [00:25:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. We were directly next to one of. [00:25:27] Speaker A: Them where you guys are on the map. You know, there is a dragon pillar in the pit. There is a dragon pillar directly southeast of you. There is a dragon pillar southwest through two hexes. The fortress is directly south of that pillar. That's in the southwest. And then there is a pillar all way at the bottom of the map to the southeast. Okay, okay, so you have three. You're at four, but you have four pillars left to just to deal with. And the fortress. As night carries on, I'm actually going to reveal the entire map to you now because you know where everything is cool. As. As the day turns to evening. You make camp safely with the help of hezzle. She tells you that she wants to go back and find her Kobold clan, that she was a part of, that you guys saved. And she has no interest in fighting without them. So thank you very much. [00:26:43] Speaker B: Can we ask her, before she goes, if she saw Rennuli in the camp? [00:26:47] Speaker A: Oh, yes, the spider creature woman thing. [00:26:50] Speaker B: Yes. [00:26:51] Speaker A: There's a. There was a house that some of the. Or a bunk that some of the monkey people lived in. She was captured and put in there. [00:27:02] Speaker D: We'll have to rescue her then. [00:27:03] Speaker B: At least we know where she is. [00:27:05] Speaker A: You may also want to check my. The lab that I worked in. It's directly north of the. Of the bunk house. In there, if you search and lift up a couple of the floorboards, you should find some potions and more. More items that I have stowed and stolen from others. I fear that with you guys, with. With the retreat you did, they will restock the camp or repopulate the camp in a few days. So I would recommend moving first thing in the morning. [00:27:40] Speaker D: That's fair. [00:27:40] Speaker A: She also offers you, if you would like, a plus one crossbow, four wyvern poison darts, poison bolts. Sorry. Poison bolts. [00:27:53] Speaker C: That's ominous. It is a greater staff of fire. [00:28:22] Speaker B: It's too bad there's not an arcane caster here. [00:28:25] Speaker D: I have trick. [00:28:26] Speaker E: Magical item. [00:28:28] Speaker B: I do too. [00:28:30] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah, I think it'll work. [00:28:33] Speaker F: Blood magic. [00:28:37] Speaker A: So with that. With that, she leaves. And heads. Oh, actually, do you give her directions of where you saw her, kobolds? [00:28:48] Speaker D: Nah. No, no, we will. [00:28:52] Speaker B: But the kobolds were just beaten feet, though. Like, they weren't sticking around. [00:28:56] Speaker A: Right, but she could probably head that direction and maybe find them. She doesn't look nearly as sick as they did. [00:29:03] Speaker E: Okay, okay. [00:29:05] Speaker A: Unless you have any other questions that you would like to ask hezzle before she waddles off as kobolds do? [00:29:12] Speaker D: No, um, no, I don't think so. What do you think, guys? [00:29:17] Speaker B: No, I don't. I'm just looking at. I mean, Twintal is definitely looking at temid with dimension of the Scarlet triad, if I remember correctly. I remember right. He had some interest in them. And I'm always curious what pond Watcher is gonna do when they're cold walls around. [00:29:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:29:36] Speaker F: I feel like that is fair, but is this amount of experience is finally kind of sunk in to pond watcher that they're not dragons, they're just very stupid for them. So he gives a knowing nod to her as she leaves. [00:29:54] Speaker A: But then. [00:29:55] Speaker C: All right, so the Scarlet triad. I think I'm just being a little slow, and I apologize. Temid isn't going to be as slow as I am. But did we establish, I can't really remember, that the Scarlet triad is this group that. That had captured temid in the past? [00:30:10] Speaker A: You're not sure? You think so? Because their symbols are very similar to the one symbol you remember. [00:30:18] Speaker C: Right, okay. [00:30:19] Speaker A: But nothing has been officially like. Yes, 100%. [00:30:25] Speaker C: Okay. And so. And I'm sorry, Hazel. Do we feel like she's giving us as much information as. As she's gonna have about them? [00:30:33] Speaker A: About them? Yes. [00:30:34] Speaker C: Okay. [00:30:35] Speaker A: She's never met them, right. She was hired and put in charge via the cinder claw. [00:30:42] Speaker C: So timid wants to track these guys down. [00:30:45] Speaker D: Okay, makes sense. [00:30:46] Speaker C: That's his. That's his singular focus. At this point, all of that jovial, kind of fun guy has left him again. You know, you'll see this every once in a while when he gets confronted with this type of situation. And he becomes very quiet and he's just thinking. He's obviously got that thousand yard stare and he's crunching some numbers or something in his head and something's. The gears are turning. [00:31:10] Speaker D: Okay. [00:31:11] Speaker A: Okay. So night falls, and you all go to bed and rest and level up. And unfortunately, you don't level up. However, when you wake up around the campfire, you see a mug with four mugs around it, and there's a piece of paper under one. [00:31:37] Speaker B: Do I see Temid nearby? [00:31:40] Speaker A: Nope. [00:31:40] Speaker E: Is everything all right? [00:31:43] Speaker B: So twin talum will go pull the first a look around, like, you know, is somebody waiting to ambush him. And then he will pull the paper out from the mug, and assuming it. [00:31:58] Speaker A: Says something, as you pull the paper out, you notice that this is the ever filling mug that timid. You haven't seen timid, not have since he's been with you, since he's gotten from the ekuje. And you look down at the note, and you see it says, my friends. [00:32:16] Speaker C: I don't mean to leave you here to face the darkness on your own, but my own path has reached a fork from yours, and I must follow it. I hope you can forgive me. And whenever you raise a glass, know that I'm with you. Still. Stay safe. And blessings of Cayden. Kalian upon you. Timid. And I was not drunk while I made this. [00:32:39] Speaker B: Twintalum will kind of read it, kind of sigh a little bit. [00:32:43] Speaker A: Look around you notice that there is a pair of pristine white gloves also next to you, next to the cups. [00:32:52] Speaker B: Do I remember temid wearing those gloves? [00:32:54] Speaker A: Yes. [00:32:55] Speaker B: So Twintelle will kind of just walk over to Brianna. [00:33:00] Speaker D: So I was going to say Brianna is probably still stirring and she'll kind of pop up her head, a cloud of mess. I mean her hair. Because let's be honest, she has big hair and they're like what's that? What do you have? [00:33:20] Speaker B: Maybe you should read it. And he'll hand it to her and I'll also hand her the gloves. [00:33:25] Speaker D: Do the gloves have any indication that they're meant for her? [00:33:31] Speaker A: No. You remember temid getting these and telling you that they were healers gloves. [00:33:36] Speaker D: Okay. [00:33:37] Speaker A: And no matter how many wounds of your guys he stitched up, these gloves would maintain this pristine whiteness. [00:33:48] Speaker D: Brianna's hands will shake. I think at this point in time there's just kind of shock in her face. And I don't think we've really had a chance to kind of see where our friends are at with their health and what they're feeling and thinking since Silver was kidnapped. But a peek behind the curtain is that she definitely feels in a way responsible for that. And now that Tamit is gone and she really was starting to have a closer connection with him, especially as her healing teacher, she just feels guilt all over again. But she's, she's kind of still just kind of. I think the best way to describe this just ashen face, like there's, there's still just shock. It hasn't really registered yet. She'll just kind of hand it back over to twin Talon. The note back over to twin Talon without saying a word, just kind of have our eyes down cast and kind of shaking. [00:34:54] Speaker A: Saraya, as you wake up for the day you notice that twin Talon and Brianna are kind of not in their own world, but definitely not all present with you, with the group and everything. And as you roll over you see a red gauntlet clutching a note of parchment. [00:35:17] Speaker E: I will pick up this second note. [00:35:20] Speaker A: As you read it. [00:35:21] Speaker H: It says to my companions, I am sorry that I have left you all to deal with the cinder clause on your own. However, I feel that it is necessary to find silver as soon as I can. He knew I was destined for something and since his disappearance I have not been whole. I hope you do not think less of me for this. However, if you do, I would understand. I hope that one day our paths will cross again and that we can continue what we have started. Until then, you have known me as pond Watcher. And I respect you and love you as friends. But know that my name is tell Elanath, and that only the very most special people know that. And that one day, maybe we will meet again, or I will find silver dead at the bottom of a whale or something. I don't know. But, oh, you know, there's gonna be some sort of big dragon and I'm gonna kill it for you. So, anyway, uh, I think I'm gonna try to leave because it seems twin Talon is waking up, so I'm gonna stop writing and run away now into the woods. Uh, goodbye, pond watch. [00:36:51] Speaker E: She takes in a breath and stares at the note for a minute. And her face is a little blank. She's an elf. She's been alive for a while. This is a little more something she's used to, but it's still. It still sucks. She really liked hanging out with Pond Watcher and, you know, getting to have another elf to hang around. So, yeah, she kind of takes a moment, kind of sit there and think about that. And even Jasper kind of hops over. And usually, you know, he'd be getting things ready for the day and helping her out. And she's not getting up right away, so he's just kind of, like, on her leg, looking up, like, mom, what's wrong? After a minute, she'll get up and go over to the other two and see what they're dealing with. [00:37:38] Speaker B: Temid left. [00:37:41] Speaker E: Gee. [00:37:42] Speaker B: And he'll pull out the note for her. Us. We swap notes? [00:37:45] Speaker E: Yeah, we swap notes. Since he didn't go alone. [00:37:50] Speaker B: I'm. I'm not a fan of the mwange expanse. No, I mean, the racist old man was one thing. He was the only person among the group who made fun of my people and never apologized. Temmin and Pondwatcher were like. They were like brothers. And I can only hope that they stuck together or they do stick together and protect each other. But. [00:38:30] Speaker D: At this moment, Brianna will stand up and gently push past the two, say, I need a moment. I'll be right back. And she'll go into the treeline and you hear almost rageful screams. Sobbing screams. It would sit. It's one of the two. But you definitely feel like she's not in danger. She's just having some feelings. [00:39:06] Speaker A: And with that, we're going to end this session. [00:39:11] Speaker B: Fuck off, Sean. Making me feel stuff. [00:39:18] Speaker G: With our party now down three heroes. What will they do? Where will they go, and how on earth will they save Rannouli and deal with these wretched dragon pillars?
