[00:00:42] Speaker A: This is your host in GM, Sean. And I just want to talk to you guys real quick about the world. And I'm not talking talking about the world of Galarian. I'm talking about the real world. Now, as I'm sure some of you have guessed, when we get together to record episodes, we tend to record three or four episodes at a time. So we have some backlog so we can edit and get everything out to you guys in a timely manner. Well, with things that are happening in the world right now with Covid-19 we are unable to get together, but we have good news. Through the magic of the Internet and everyone pitching in and working together, we are still able to remotely record new episodes. So you might hear two or three episodes of us still being together. I don't want anyone to be concerned. We are not breaking any state or federal laws by getting together and recording. These are episodes that we've recorded in the past pre lockdown, and we are all following the rules of being safe and practicing safety and social distancing. Remote recording has some sound quality differences that you might notice in the future episodes. We're hoping to mitigate those as much as possible and do our best, but just bear with us for those remote sessions. Now is the time where I would normally plug our patreon or t shirts or any of that merchandise stuff. But right now, we know that the whole world is being impacted by Covid-19 and everyone is being financially impacted by this. So instead of us plugging our merch and whatnot this week, I just want to say if you can volunteer safely or remotely volunteer for something to help everyone who is combating this terrible, terrible thing that's happening and do some good. We know that there's lots of ways people can distract themselves during this time, and we hope our little show can help people out during this time. We are still getting together to play this game virtually, and it's been a blast. The remote sessions have been so much fun, and it's been a great distraction for myself, so I hope you guys can find something that does that for you as well. All right, enough of me rambling. Let's get to the table where Brianna and twin Talon are fighting off a group of churika boggards all by themselves because no one knows how to climb a rope. Welcome to the 32nd episode of the Cracked Die podcast. [00:03:17] Speaker B: Yay. [00:03:19] Speaker A: I always pause just to see if any of you are going to say anything. [00:03:22] Speaker B: No, I'm tired of reacting. [00:03:23] Speaker A: All right, that sounds good. [00:03:24] Speaker C: We done? [00:03:25] Speaker A: All right, great. Speaking of being done. Let's see who dies today. No. [00:03:29] Speaker D: Hooray. [00:03:30] Speaker E: Previously on the Cracked Die podcast. Combat with a. Bargast started. All heroes quickly defeated him and explored the rest of the room. They continued to explore this cavern and found some gloom glow mushrooms as well as a giant pit. Brianna was able to climb down the pit. However, upon reaching the bottom, she was attacked by some churika and boggarts. Twin Talon made an athletic jump to get down to help Brianna. However, the rest of the party is having a difficult time getting down the rope. Will our heroes be able to survive this combat? Separated, will the others be able to get down this rope and figure out how to help her? Could this be the end of our group of heroes? Find out the answers to these questions and more on this episode of the Cracked Die podcast. [00:04:25] Speaker A: Pond Watcher's turn. He is in the room above. [00:04:29] Speaker F: He hears the sounds that battle has previously said. And here's them fighting down the 60 foot tunnel. And he says, oh boy. [00:04:38] Speaker A: Heads up, everyone. [00:04:40] Speaker F: And he drops his flail down the tunnel. [00:04:43] Speaker C: Do we get to make a reflex save? [00:04:45] Speaker A: I'm going to say it lands in a square that you guys are not in. [00:04:49] Speaker G: Thank you. [00:04:49] Speaker A: You guys are already being hindered enough. [00:04:51] Speaker F: And he rages. [00:04:52] Speaker A: Okay. [00:04:53] Speaker F: And he will use his raging athlete superpower to climb 60ft straight down the rope and land now down there. [00:05:03] Speaker H: Gm, how encumbered would he be? Someone like piggyback. [00:05:10] Speaker A: What is your strength? 16. So I believe the rule is for every ten pounds, it's one bulk. [00:05:15] Speaker F: I can absorb ten more bulk than I have currently. [00:05:18] Speaker C: Because he has a beatboard, right? [00:05:19] Speaker B: Right. [00:05:19] Speaker A: Yes. So for every ten pounds, your character is. [00:05:23] Speaker G: So 100 pounds would be ten bulk. [00:05:25] Speaker A: 100 pounds would be ten bulk. [00:05:26] Speaker D: Could he carry silver? [00:05:28] Speaker A: How much does silver weigh? [00:05:31] Speaker G: Well, suddenly silver weighs 87 pounds. [00:05:33] Speaker D: No, silver weighs 13 pounds. Probably like 100 and 5150. [00:05:37] Speaker A: So you could carry one or both. I'll say you could carry both down, but you will be encumbered and have to move slower. [00:05:45] Speaker D: Just go. [00:05:46] Speaker G: We need to take time to collect them, though, right? [00:05:48] Speaker A: Yeah, I'll say it's an action to collect one person. [00:05:51] Speaker H: Well, if you only do one, you could take two more actions to climb. [00:05:54] Speaker G: Well, no. Rage is one action. [00:05:58] Speaker A: Dropping his flail is an action. [00:06:00] Speaker D: It is not. [00:06:01] Speaker A: Oh, it is a free action. [00:06:02] Speaker B: Okay, so it is an action, but. [00:06:03] Speaker A: It'S a free action. Raging is an action. So he can grab one of you. [00:06:06] Speaker F: I can either be down right now. [00:06:08] Speaker A: Or in like, five triggers. [00:06:10] Speaker F: I'm going to go. [00:06:12] Speaker A: All right, you're going to take one of them or no, he's going to. [00:06:14] Speaker F: Take zero of them. He says sorry as he climbs down. [00:06:17] Speaker A: All right, you are now sorry, not. [00:06:19] Speaker G: Sorry, or do yell. [00:06:21] Speaker A: Ain't bush death from above? Yes. [00:06:26] Speaker F: He ices up his hands. Fireman slides down the rope. [00:06:31] Speaker A: Brianna. [00:06:32] Speaker H: Yes? [00:06:32] Speaker A: Your turn. [00:06:33] Speaker C: How about I move behind the Churka directly in front of twin Talon to flank him? [00:06:40] Speaker A: Because why not directly in front of twin Talon? Right there. [00:06:44] Speaker G: So to the east? [00:06:45] Speaker A: Yeah. All right. [00:06:47] Speaker G: Can you spin her around? It's disconcerting to have her back to me. [00:06:50] Speaker C: Maybe a fight like that. [00:06:52] Speaker A: Different styles. All right, so breeding. Bump him moves and flanks behind the chirika. [00:06:58] Speaker C: 18 on the die. [00:07:00] Speaker A: 18 on the die for a total of 31. That was crit. [00:07:06] Speaker B: Nice. [00:07:07] Speaker A: It's Crit. [00:07:08] Speaker B: Your name. [00:07:08] Speaker C: Oh, right. [00:07:09] Speaker G: Slashing. [00:07:10] Speaker A: Correct. Correct. Yes. [00:07:12] Speaker G: Normal damage. It's called brow cut. I know it's not triple damage. It's not your card. [00:07:17] Speaker C: I don't know why I took this. [00:07:18] Speaker G: Normal damage. Crit effect. The target takes one d four. Persistent bleed damage. Until the bleed ends, all creatures are concealed to the target. [00:07:28] Speaker A: Wow, that's not bad. [00:07:30] Speaker C: It's not bad at all. Boo for seven damage plus whatever. Bleed on his turn. [00:07:40] Speaker A: Good job. [00:07:42] Speaker C: So that's one. Well, this is my last turn. [00:07:46] Speaker A: Rather one more action. Yeah. [00:07:48] Speaker G: Do you want to raise your shield or do you want to attack again? [00:07:51] Speaker C: I'll check again. Why not? Because I did poorly anyway. I'm just going to say it doesn't hit. [00:07:57] Speaker A: I'm guessing for an 1111 will miss. [00:08:02] Speaker G: No, she's also concealed damage. [00:08:05] Speaker A: Yes. Oh, concealed. How much damage? Hold on, I got to look at things now. [00:08:09] Speaker G: I think it probably makes a flat. [00:08:11] Speaker A: Right, so he can't attack you unless he makes a DC five. Flat chest to target. So that is a miss. Next is Boggart. [00:08:20] Speaker G: Another one. [00:08:22] Speaker A: Bump, bump, bump. [00:08:26] Speaker H: Hopefully. [00:08:26] Speaker G: Guys, I only have three attacks around. [00:08:28] Speaker H: How. [00:08:28] Speaker A: Good grief. [00:08:29] Speaker H: I'm sure it's supposed to be like a murking on their face, but all I can see is like a kermit the frog smile. [00:08:36] Speaker B: Or is it their mouth wide open? [00:08:39] Speaker A: He throws a javelin at twin Talon. [00:08:42] Speaker H: You're in big trouble. [00:08:45] Speaker A: Well, he rolled a two, so that's. Oh, actually, hang on, this matters. Does a eight miss you critically? So please draw a card that's a named creature. That is a name. That is Mort. [00:08:57] Speaker B: Mork. [00:08:58] Speaker A: Well. [00:09:01] Speaker B: No, it's a range. Whoops, you fall prone blast. [00:09:06] Speaker F: Maybe I should just go back up and get you guys. [00:09:08] Speaker A: All right. [00:09:09] Speaker F: These guys are incompetent. [00:09:11] Speaker G: Temid, we haven't started rolling yet. [00:09:13] Speaker B: All right, so temid looks back at silver and says, sorry, guys, not strong enough to carry you, but I feel like they're going to need my help. Stay safe. And he goes and he climbs down. Of everyone that's trained in climb, I have by far probably the lowest athletics. [00:09:32] Speaker A: Okay. [00:09:32] Speaker B: At a six. [00:09:33] Speaker A: So you need to make a DC 15 and climb. Check. [00:09:38] Speaker G: It's better than half. [00:09:39] Speaker F: If you fail, will you fall to your death? [00:09:41] Speaker A: Only if you critically fail. [00:09:42] Speaker B: All right, 17. [00:09:45] Speaker A: So you move down 5ft. [00:09:47] Speaker B: Look at that. [00:09:48] Speaker A: He's, like, slowly and, like, 15 out of six. [00:09:51] Speaker G: Sorry, guys, I have to help them. [00:09:54] Speaker D: Five rounds. [00:09:55] Speaker B: Oh, shit. [00:09:57] Speaker G: Is that a critical one? [00:09:58] Speaker A: That is a critical fail. [00:10:01] Speaker G: Hero point. Do you have a hero point you want to use? [00:10:04] Speaker A: I do have a hero point. I want to use. Heroes don't fall off ropes. [00:10:08] Speaker B: And I rolled another 17. [00:10:12] Speaker A: Okay, so you're down 10ft. [00:10:14] Speaker B: All right. Natural 18. [00:10:16] Speaker A: So you're down 15ft. [00:10:19] Speaker B: That's 24. [00:10:21] Speaker A: That's a critical success. So you're down another 20. Yeah. [00:10:23] Speaker B: So you're down 20 total. So I'm only 40ft third of the way. [00:10:29] Speaker G: I jumped from there. Why don't you just jump? [00:10:30] Speaker B: Yeah, sure. [00:10:31] Speaker A: Just. [00:10:31] Speaker B: Can you give me your boots? [00:10:33] Speaker A: All right. It is now another boggart's turn. [00:10:37] Speaker H: A different boggart. [00:10:39] Speaker D: Oh, Lordy Lou. [00:10:41] Speaker A: All right. And that is his turn. Then we have this Churica going. They move this far. Wow. [00:10:49] Speaker D: Hopefully they're like paper, but otherwise look. [00:10:52] Speaker G: Like they're better than the ones we saw before. [00:10:54] Speaker A: All right, Sareia, Mr. Icons are good. You're up. [00:10:57] Speaker H: So timid is 20ft on the roof. [00:10:59] Speaker G: Yes. [00:11:00] Speaker A: You can jump. It's only 30 damage because I've got all 37 left. Look, you have healing potions. I'm just saying, you make healing potions. [00:11:11] Speaker G: Point of. Point of order. There's 3ft of water. [00:11:13] Speaker B: Okay, so there's no damage. [00:11:15] Speaker A: It's 27 damage. [00:11:17] Speaker H: Oh, that'll leave me with a whole ten and I'll be prone. I also know I can't make healing potions on the fly. I can do a lick trigger for. [00:11:23] Speaker A: Life, but that's, like, one six. I'll catch you. That's enough. Jump into my arms. Can you catch someone? [00:11:30] Speaker F: Probably not. [00:11:31] Speaker D: I can actually heal you pretty well. [00:11:33] Speaker H: Can you imagine, Soraya? Just like, I'm coming. [00:11:36] Speaker A: Yes, I can. Let's watch, then. [00:11:38] Speaker G: The guy that offers to heal you stays up top. [00:11:39] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:11:40] Speaker H: So he's just like, didn't they should actually take me up on that. [00:11:44] Speaker A: Temid's down there, he'll heal you for eight. [00:11:47] Speaker G: I can heal you too. [00:11:49] Speaker C: As can I. [00:11:50] Speaker H: Seriously, though, are there, like, rules for catching people who fall or jump? [00:11:54] Speaker F: I am right at the very bottom, right next to the room. [00:11:57] Speaker D: Or would she count as, like, a falling object? [00:11:59] Speaker A: She would definitely be a falling object. Hang on, let me look real quick. Yeah, I mean, she's an elf, so. [00:12:04] Speaker H: She'S probably, like, about my height, and they're built pretty lightly. I'd put her at, like, 9000 pounds. [00:12:10] Speaker A: It's actually a juggler feat to catch them. Reflective catch, reflexive catch. [00:12:16] Speaker D: Okay, juggler. But if she's falling on top of. [00:12:18] Speaker A: Pompan tree, it is an archetype. [00:12:23] Speaker H: Never mind. [00:12:24] Speaker A: It's from the new extinction curse adventure path. [00:12:29] Speaker H: That's interesting. [00:12:30] Speaker D: That's a cool name. [00:12:31] Speaker A: Well, it takes place in a circus. [00:12:33] Speaker D: That's even cooler. [00:12:34] Speaker A: All right. Anyway. [00:12:35] Speaker H: All right. I've been thinking about stupid ways alchemists can repurpose things. Would I get a bonus to my reflex attempt to grab the rope or the wall if I broke a tangle foot bag on my hands first? [00:12:48] Speaker A: I was using it like a glue. [00:12:50] Speaker H: Yeah. Using it as, like, an adhesive to. Either I'll give my descent, or, like, if I even just wing it, it'll stick me. [00:12:58] Speaker A: It would work. I'll say it'll work. [00:13:00] Speaker H: I mean, technically, a tangle footbag slows you by 10ft when you're walking, right? [00:13:04] Speaker A: So I'll say if you. [00:13:08] Speaker H: No, I'm talking. [00:13:09] Speaker B: It's like one of those sticky things that you get in the vending machines and you kind of, like, stick it against the wall to hand with those. [00:13:14] Speaker H: Well, I'm thinking more like if you've ever played horizon zero dodge. [00:13:17] Speaker A: It's like an airbag. [00:13:18] Speaker H: Aloy jumps and then throws her grappling hook. So she would jump and then just frantically reach for the rope. Like, once she passed. Damn it. [00:13:26] Speaker D: Yeah, I imagine you'd have to do a roll of something. [00:13:29] Speaker B: So I was looking at something actually similar to that. Right. The grab an edge. I don't know if you agree with this or not, and it's entirely your decision here, but it says trigger. You fall from or past an edge or handhold. Do you consider the rope a handhold? And if you do, then we can. [00:13:48] Speaker A: Okay. [00:13:48] Speaker H: Yeah. And my other thought is, if the rope is not literally suspended from the ceiling, we could also just repel. [00:13:55] Speaker G: Well, that's actually, like, per the rules, you can't repel without knowing trained in athletics, whether or not we think that's a dumb thing. That's how the rules. [00:14:03] Speaker A: That's how the rules are in because it's dumb thing. [00:14:05] Speaker D: But from the top of the hole. [00:14:08] Speaker G: There to the top of the wall. [00:14:09] Speaker D: To the floor of the cavern, how many feet is that? [00:14:14] Speaker B: I also realize that you fall 500ft the first round. [00:14:17] Speaker H: Yeah, 500ft in 5 seconds. [00:14:20] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:14:20] Speaker B: Every time I think about it, it just feels like either it's possible or it's like impossible. I keep going back and forth between those. [00:14:26] Speaker G: Well, it's meters per second, right? Squared, right. But by the rule, exponentially faster the longer you do it. [00:14:34] Speaker A: Okay, let's throw this into the pot. In the bestiary here on page 342, there is a skill for monsters called catch rock. It is a reaction. The monster must have a free hand, but can release anything it's holding. As part of this reaction, the monster gains a plus four circumstance bonus to catch the item using its reflex save. [00:15:01] Speaker F: So my reflex save? [00:15:02] Speaker A: Yes. So you would need to make a reflex save against a simple DC of, I'm going to say expert level to catch someone. And this skill would give you plus four to it. But you don't have that. So you just have your base reflex. [00:15:18] Speaker F: Plus my reflex is plus eight. [00:15:20] Speaker A: Okay. It's not a bad. [00:15:23] Speaker B: Wait, so what's the DC then? [00:15:25] Speaker A: I'm going to say it's an expert level, simple DC. What's that? [00:15:32] Speaker F: It's your choice. [00:15:33] Speaker H: My attempt was still to grab the rope, but I can also shout and if I miss the rope. [00:15:38] Speaker A: So first action, you're going to try and jump. [00:15:40] Speaker H: I'm going to make and smash my tangle foot bag on my hands. [00:15:45] Speaker A: Okay. You have some adhesive. I trying to move this along so we don't spend all day trying to figure this out. [00:15:50] Speaker H: We can cut this. I know too. [00:15:52] Speaker A: This is the real thing of a gaming table. [00:15:54] Speaker B: My heart is really like starting to beat pretty fast. [00:15:58] Speaker D: Oh, 14. [00:16:01] Speaker H: That's my reflex plus the dime. [00:16:03] Speaker A: Is that 14? [00:16:04] Speaker H: I don't know if you're going to give me any bonuses. [00:16:06] Speaker A: I'm going to give you a plus 216. So I'm going to say you go down 10ft and you grab the rope. Okay. [00:16:13] Speaker H: So that's above timid. [00:16:15] Speaker B: He looks up and he's like, oh, good grip strength. [00:16:19] Speaker D: Shout out to pawn watcher. [00:16:21] Speaker H: Wait, I failed the grab the rope check. [00:16:24] Speaker A: No, you pass. [00:16:24] Speaker H: Okay, well, my goal was to go under ten. [00:16:26] Speaker A: Okay, so yes, you go under ten. Okay. You're like 22ft down. Okay. [00:16:31] Speaker D: But she can't use the rope to climb. [00:16:33] Speaker A: Correct. [00:16:33] Speaker H: She's still aiming, basically. No, I'm aiming basically now to just. [00:16:39] Speaker A: Okay. I don't know if you can slide on it because that. [00:16:43] Speaker H: Well, then we've just borked the entire encounter. Unless tevid jumps on the rope. [00:16:46] Speaker B: Well, I was planning to do that. [00:16:47] Speaker A: Yeah, but you have two more actions you can let go. [00:16:51] Speaker H: Yes, basically, but. Or, again, with the purpose of the tangle footbag. It doesn't stop movement, it slows movement. [00:16:57] Speaker A: Right. [00:16:57] Speaker H: No, that's why I was hoping I could just. [00:16:59] Speaker A: Okay, I'll say you can move down 5ft. You can't go any faster. Each round or each action is 5ft. [00:17:05] Speaker H: Okay, so two more actions gets you ten more feet down. So I'm, what, 12ft above it? [00:17:09] Speaker A: So you're now 40ft down? Yeah. You see Seraya's legs poking through the hole? Those of you who are down here, careful. [00:17:20] Speaker B: How did you get past me? [00:17:21] Speaker H: I jumped. [00:17:23] Speaker B: It's a good idea. [00:17:24] Speaker A: Maybe I'll try. So then two more creatures act. [00:17:29] Speaker H: By the way, as the ranch. I'm just going to do. This was stupid. Can't just throw open. It's like I'm alive. [00:17:35] Speaker F: Wait, so you're 20ft up? [00:17:37] Speaker H: I'm 20ft up the road. [00:17:38] Speaker F: I could probably come get you now. [00:17:39] Speaker H: I might just hang here and throw bombs. [00:17:42] Speaker A: I'll come get you. All right. [00:17:44] Speaker G: Two hands to go. Even if you were capable of climbing, you would need two hands to do it. [00:17:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:17:48] Speaker G: If you let one go, you fall. [00:17:49] Speaker A: Yeah. Brianna. Yes. Hello. A sickle comes swinging at your back. Cool. Does a 23 hit you? [00:17:58] Speaker C: It does. [00:17:59] Speaker A: All right, this is still the round that you used, your liberating step. So you can't. [00:18:04] Speaker C: I can't use it on myself. [00:18:06] Speaker G: She can't use it on herself, but she gets her reaction back. [00:18:10] Speaker A: Yes, you're right. So you take six points of damage as the sickle slashes into your. [00:18:17] Speaker H: Okay. [00:18:17] Speaker A: And then it's going to try it again. 14 misses. Critical. [00:18:22] Speaker H: No. [00:18:23] Speaker A: Okay. And then the last one. So the last chirika swings, squeaks by his friends. [00:18:30] Speaker C: Just watch these be the good guys. [00:18:32] Speaker A: All right, now we're back to the top of the initiative. Round. Round one, guys. Round one. [00:18:38] Speaker G: The armored turkey, if I remember correctly. [00:18:40] Speaker A: Yes, the heavily armored. It's too fast. You hear it start to shriek in a frenzy. [00:18:49] Speaker H: Yeah, they have, like, special yells and things. [00:18:52] Speaker D: Well, what does this. [00:18:55] Speaker H: Well, I know the boggers have the terrifying croak. I thought the trudica had, like, the rallying. [00:19:00] Speaker G: I think they scream and they go fast. [00:19:02] Speaker H: Yeah, it does something. [00:19:04] Speaker C: It's not just screaming to us. [00:19:05] Speaker A: I'm sure it's just screaming. All creatures within a 30 foot emanation of it. [00:19:12] Speaker G: All creatures. [00:19:13] Speaker A: All creatures. [00:19:14] Speaker G: Even its allies. [00:19:15] Speaker A: Even its allies. [00:19:16] Speaker B: I'm not. [00:19:17] Speaker A: No, you're 40ft. Yeah. I'm not going to catch one. [00:19:22] Speaker H: Can we back out halfway through an action. [00:19:25] Speaker A: I didn't roll. It's going to punch Brianna. [00:19:33] Speaker H: Okay. [00:19:34] Speaker A: You see its hand is covered in a gun. 32. 33. Sorry, that's a critical, please. [00:19:42] Speaker D: Oh, gosh. [00:19:42] Speaker B: It was a natural 20. [00:19:44] Speaker G: And it's a named character. [00:19:45] Speaker A: It is a named character and it is piercing. [00:19:48] Speaker G: The gauntlet is piercing. [00:19:50] Speaker A: It is piercing. It's not magical. [00:19:53] Speaker G: Kidney piercing is the name of the. [00:19:55] Speaker A: Oh, no. [00:19:56] Speaker G: The target is sickened two. So it's double damage and you're sickened two. [00:20:01] Speaker A: All right. [00:20:02] Speaker G: Isn't sicken the one where you can vomit? [00:20:04] Speaker F: Get rid of it. [00:20:05] Speaker C: She's good at that. [00:20:06] Speaker G: Take an action to spray blood out of your mouth. Yeah. [00:20:09] Speaker A: Four. Take 18, piercing damage into your kidney. [00:20:16] Speaker C: So wait, he punched me in the face and I felt at my kidney? [00:20:18] Speaker A: Yes. And then you feel your. As he punches you, you feel your face start to light on fire. Two points of fire damage as well. [00:20:28] Speaker B: Yikes. [00:20:29] Speaker A: You're pretty. [00:20:29] Speaker C: But you said 18, correct? [00:20:31] Speaker A: Yes. That was doubled. So then he's going to try and punch you again because it works so well the first time. Does a 13 hit you as he comes around with the clawed gauntlet? Critical miss, right? [00:20:44] Speaker C: No, because my ac is lowered now. [00:20:46] Speaker A: And then it's going second for its last action. It's going to back up. [00:20:51] Speaker G: So its screech was not an action. [00:20:53] Speaker F: It didn't do it. [00:20:54] Speaker A: No, it's a reaction at the start of the turn. Oh, it's still screeched. And then it's going to throw a hatchet as it flat stack. [00:21:00] Speaker B: It gets four actions. [00:21:03] Speaker A: That screech gives it one extra. [00:21:05] Speaker C: Okay, hold on. It screeched, which is free is a free. It hit me twice and it ran away. [00:21:10] Speaker A: That's three. [00:21:11] Speaker G: So the screech, I think, gives it. [00:21:12] Speaker B: An extra attack action. [00:21:14] Speaker H: Understood. [00:21:15] Speaker G: But it's at negative ten. [00:21:17] Speaker B: Yes, negative ten. [00:21:20] Speaker G: Hatchet probably isn't. [00:21:24] Speaker C: Who's aiming at me, you critic. [00:21:26] Speaker A: Fail. 20. [00:21:27] Speaker C: Missed. [00:21:28] Speaker A: Okay. Wow. What? [00:21:31] Speaker D: Negative ten. [00:21:32] Speaker B: Well, it's not at a negative ten roll. I mean, it's negative ten from what its best modifier is. [00:21:37] Speaker A: I roll the 19. [00:21:39] Speaker D: Okay. Wow. [00:21:40] Speaker G: Plus one at that one. [00:21:41] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. [00:21:42] Speaker B: That's information. [00:21:43] Speaker A: Yes. All right, twin Talon, you're up. [00:21:47] Speaker G: Kill it. Well, it ran away, so kill it. There are plenty of things for me to kill here. [00:21:52] Speaker A: All right. Kill something. [00:21:56] Speaker H: So bossy. [00:21:58] Speaker G: Okay, so twin Talon is going to attack the one that is directly in front of him that he's flanking with Brianna. Not that one that you pinged way the hell low on the other side of the map. There we go. That is a 22. [00:22:18] Speaker A: Hang on, I got to shuffle like four pages here. 22 will hit no credits. [00:22:24] Speaker G: 19 damage. [00:22:26] Speaker A: 19 damage. Your sword slices queen through this one and it is dead. [00:22:32] Speaker G: Can I see the one who just hit Brian a bunch of times? [00:22:34] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, he's back here. [00:22:36] Speaker H: Look at his feet. [00:22:37] Speaker G: Then I see. [00:22:38] Speaker A: Okay. [00:22:38] Speaker G: Then as a reaction, twin Talon is going to point to him. [00:22:41] Speaker A: Yes. [00:22:42] Speaker G: And he will try to intimidate him. [00:22:44] Speaker C: What does he say? What does he say? [00:22:46] Speaker G: One monkey down, one to go. [00:22:50] Speaker A: That's versus his will. [00:22:52] Speaker G: Will. DC. [00:22:53] Speaker A: Okay. [00:22:54] Speaker G: 21 fail. [00:22:56] Speaker A: Okay. [00:22:57] Speaker B: Wow. [00:22:58] Speaker A: Yeah. You still get two more actions. Yes. [00:23:01] Speaker G: So for my next action, I am going to run straight at Brianna. I'm going to run straight at Brianna. [00:23:08] Speaker H: Oh, no. [00:23:08] Speaker G: I'm going to slide under her legs, between the legs of the monkey behind her, pop up behind drink. [00:23:13] Speaker B: Gen acrobatics it is. [00:23:15] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:23:15] Speaker B: Oh, that's really cool. [00:23:17] Speaker C: I'm not that tall. [00:23:19] Speaker G: 28 versus his reflex. DC. [00:23:22] Speaker A: And that is a Shirika reflex. I mean, let this plus 18. You're good. You make him. [00:23:27] Speaker G: Then he'll pop up behind him and he'll tag him. [00:23:29] Speaker A: Okay, that is a natural 20. What's your total? [00:23:34] Speaker G: 28. [00:23:35] Speaker A: All right, that is a crit. Yes. [00:23:39] Speaker B: Currently high and I are doing a dance. It's called the crit dance. It goes something like this. You kind of shuffle. [00:23:44] Speaker C: We will post it online. [00:23:47] Speaker G: My crit is ventilated. Triple damage. [00:23:51] Speaker A: There we go. [00:23:52] Speaker B: No, that's highest card, I think you're. [00:23:54] Speaker G: Sorry I grabbed yours on. [00:23:55] Speaker C: I think he's sucked out all my natural twenty s today. [00:24:00] Speaker G: So I did 17 times. Three. I'm going to guess he's dead. So twin Talon slices side to side, chopping just like the spinal column, through the first one. Slides through Brianna's legs, through the church's legs. And as he comes up, he brings the sword up, just slices it from stem to stern and just straight up and down. [00:24:21] Speaker A: Silver, you're up. [00:24:23] Speaker G: And he will once again point at the other monkey that it doesn't. Yes. There is no actual effect of it. He's still pointing at the guy in the back. [00:24:29] Speaker H: You see what I'm doing here? [00:24:31] Speaker A: He's going to be you. [00:24:33] Speaker G: Well, I don't know. I have your accent. [00:24:35] Speaker C: He's stealing everything. [00:24:36] Speaker H: Everything. [00:24:37] Speaker A: Silver. I'll catch you. Just like that time in the waterfall. [00:24:44] Speaker D: I told you not to go chasing the waterfalls. [00:24:48] Speaker B: Stick to the ponds that you're used to. [00:24:50] Speaker A: Are you going to just jump down and hope he catches you? [00:24:53] Speaker D: I wasn't going to, but he called out. I was going to just. I have a rope, but I was going to try to tie another rope and then try to lower the other two so they get down there. [00:25:03] Speaker A: They're already down the hole. [00:25:05] Speaker D: No, he's still on the rope and she's. [00:25:07] Speaker G: How strong could you possibly be to hold two people down a hole? [00:25:11] Speaker D: It's more of just controlled fall, I think. [00:25:14] Speaker A: Once you pick the rope, I think. [00:25:15] Speaker B: What will happen is all three of. [00:25:16] Speaker G: Us will fall at this. [00:25:18] Speaker F: Cut the rope. [00:25:19] Speaker A: Cut the rope. [00:25:21] Speaker D: Cut the rope and say no. [00:25:23] Speaker A: Fresh train. [00:25:24] Speaker B: Douglas Adams. If we fall at the ground and we miss it, then we'll fly. [00:25:28] Speaker H: Then we fly. Yeah. [00:25:29] Speaker A: Obviously not again. [00:25:33] Speaker D: Well, I'll catch you. [00:25:35] Speaker A: Or also do whatever you want. I believe in personal agency. [00:25:40] Speaker D: I was so tempted to try to throw one of these mushrooms down there. [00:25:45] Speaker A: God. [00:25:45] Speaker D: To cause chaos. [00:25:46] Speaker A: But now it would land on. [00:25:49] Speaker B: It's going to hit me in the face. [00:25:50] Speaker A: That'd be all right. So just. [00:25:53] Speaker D: I will jump down and the speeding things along. [00:25:56] Speaker G: All right, so he takes out temid and soraya on the way down. [00:26:00] Speaker A: It's 7ft across. Yeah. No, he can jump down. [00:26:04] Speaker D: All right. [00:26:04] Speaker F: He can absolutely jump down to seven foot diameter tunnel. [00:26:08] Speaker A: All right, pond watcher. All right, I'm going to give you a free reaction to try and catch him, but it will use one of your actions on your turn. [00:26:15] Speaker F: Fair enough. All right, natural 20. That's a 28. [00:26:23] Speaker C: Do you use the metal die? [00:26:24] Speaker A: Yeah. Yes. [00:26:25] Speaker F: Reflex, reflex, reflex. [00:26:29] Speaker A: So, silver 28 jumps down and I can take. [00:26:34] Speaker F: If you want me to take the damage instead. [00:26:36] Speaker A: No. He jumps straight down and his live, wave like body of an old man starts to flutter like a piece of paper through the wind. [00:26:49] Speaker H: He's a leaf on the window. [00:26:50] Speaker A: He's a leaf. [00:26:51] Speaker B: All his wrinkles start to kind of. [00:26:52] Speaker A: Make him fall slower. [00:26:55] Speaker H: It works like a flying squirrel. [00:26:56] Speaker G: I look 20 years younger. [00:26:59] Speaker A: And Pond Watcher catches him like a baby. Just like the waterfall. All right. And that's the end of your turn. That was brave. You're also flat footed because you're holding an old man. Yeah. So this boggard, one of the boggards, hops towards Pond Watcher and swings its club at you. [00:27:25] Speaker C: But I will use my liberty step. [00:27:27] Speaker A: Oh. [00:27:27] Speaker G: Let's see if he hits 1st 16. [00:27:29] Speaker A: Miss. [00:27:30] Speaker H: Just kidding. [00:27:31] Speaker A: All right, takes another swing at you. Natural one quick fail card, please. [00:27:37] Speaker B: What type of weapon is it? [00:27:39] Speaker A: A club. It is bludgeoning. [00:27:40] Speaker B: It's a melee weapon. Decision paralysis. You are slowed one until the end of your next turn. [00:27:45] Speaker D: I'm so sorry, Sean. [00:27:48] Speaker B: And temid gets twelve more actions and 100,000 gold. [00:27:52] Speaker A: Wow. [00:27:52] Speaker H: This is amazing. [00:27:52] Speaker C: Brilliant. [00:27:53] Speaker H: Really specific card. [00:27:55] Speaker A: Yeah, I love it. [00:27:56] Speaker C: Thanks, Paisley. [00:27:56] Speaker F: I like to imagine that Pond Watcher is holding silver in his arms and he's just, like, sashaying. [00:28:01] Speaker B: All those dance lessons really paid off. [00:28:04] Speaker D: I told you that time we pretended to be tap dancers. It was coming to handy. Right now. [00:28:08] Speaker A: All right, another boggard moves around to the other side of you and attacks you. [00:28:12] Speaker C: So rude. [00:28:14] Speaker A: Natural 20. That's a name. Boggard. [00:28:18] Speaker F: That's a miss, actually. [00:28:19] Speaker C: Am I within 13ft? [00:28:21] Speaker G: Yes. [00:28:22] Speaker C: So I liberate him. [00:28:24] Speaker A: You do? But I still get to hit him with. [00:28:27] Speaker C: Yeah, he just has Dr. Essentially. [00:28:29] Speaker G: What type of weapon is he said club. [00:28:31] Speaker A: Club. [00:28:32] Speaker G: Solid blow. Triple damage. [00:28:34] Speaker A: Oh, I can take it. That's it? That's it. All right. [00:28:38] Speaker G: Yeah, I think triple damage typically just fall it in. [00:28:41] Speaker H: Yeah. Can you imagine? Triple damage. [00:28:42] Speaker B: Triple damage and you're paralyzed. And you're also dead and whatever. [00:28:45] Speaker C: So whatever the damage is minus six. I'm sorry, that's as much as I can do. [00:28:51] Speaker A: Take 36. [00:28:54] Speaker B: So is it 30 goes through or 36 after the deal? [00:28:57] Speaker A: 30 goes through. [00:28:58] Speaker B: Okay. [00:28:59] Speaker D: Oh, my God. [00:28:59] Speaker A: I roll. Max damage. [00:29:01] Speaker D: We are. [00:29:02] Speaker G: This is a hard nomad gusta, so twelve damage. [00:29:05] Speaker A: Feels good. Pond watcher, you're up. Leave my old man alone. Improvised weapons. [00:29:10] Speaker H: You're still raging, right? [00:29:12] Speaker D: You can use me as a weapon. [00:29:14] Speaker F: I set silver down. Well, no, I dropped silver because it's a free action. [00:29:18] Speaker A: Okay. You drop silver. [00:29:20] Speaker F: Sorry. [00:29:20] Speaker A: He takes fall damage. Splash in the water. My hip. [00:29:24] Speaker B: He's only got about a year and a half now. [00:29:26] Speaker F: I draw my hailbird. [00:29:27] Speaker A: You draw your hailbird. [00:29:28] Speaker F: And I'm still raging. Which one crit me? [00:29:32] Speaker A: The one that is to the south of you two can play at that game, little boy. [00:29:36] Speaker F: I swing my hailbird. 31. [00:29:40] Speaker A: Yes. [00:29:42] Speaker B: Come on. Please tell me that's a crit. [00:29:44] Speaker A: 31. That's a crit. [00:29:47] Speaker D: Okay. [00:29:48] Speaker G: And this is slashing or piercing? [00:29:50] Speaker F: It's either, but slashing based on my description. [00:29:54] Speaker A: Okay. [00:29:55] Speaker G: Critical effect. One d eight. Persistent bleed damage. So it's double damage as normal and persistent bleed, assuming it's still alive. And it's called overhand chop. [00:30:04] Speaker A: A chop. [00:30:05] Speaker F: 29 points of damage. [00:30:07] Speaker A: That bleed doesn't matter as you leave him. In twain. [00:30:10] Speaker F: So he smashes me in the face and then I just kind of like reel around. And as I draw the Halberd just right in the head, use some of. [00:30:18] Speaker B: The energy from his glow to spin around and then whack. [00:30:20] Speaker A: I have one more action. [00:30:22] Speaker H: Get it? [00:30:22] Speaker F: I am going to. Yeah, no, I'll just stab the other one. [00:30:26] Speaker A: Pokey. All right. [00:30:27] Speaker H: Just do a little pokey. [00:30:29] Speaker A: Seven. That'll miss. Critically miss. [00:30:35] Speaker B: We're just grabbing cards left and right right now. [00:30:37] Speaker A: Calistria gives and Calistria takes. [00:30:39] Speaker B: Awkward attack. You are flat footed until the end of your next turn. [00:30:44] Speaker A: I was already flat footed. [00:30:45] Speaker G: So there. [00:30:46] Speaker B: You're flat footed. Eight now. [00:30:47] Speaker A: Damn it. My foot fell off. All right, never tap dance again. No, Brianna. [00:30:59] Speaker C: As in it's my turn or something's going to get me. [00:31:01] Speaker A: No, it's your turn. Okay. [00:31:02] Speaker H: God. [00:31:04] Speaker C: Let's see. There is a churuka, I'm guessing between twin Talon and I. [00:31:10] Speaker A: That is a boggard. [00:31:11] Speaker C: Just getting a boggard filled to this. [00:31:13] Speaker G: It's not directly between me. [00:31:15] Speaker C: Close enough. Oh, jeez, that's disconcerting. Just a wobble forward. Anyways. She will swing at that one because why not? [00:31:24] Speaker A: Go ahead. [00:31:25] Speaker C: 23. [00:31:25] Speaker A: That'll hit, not crit. [00:31:27] Speaker C: Yeah, I know I'm not rolling very well today for seven damage. [00:31:31] Speaker A: All right. It's still there. It croaks in pain. [00:31:35] Speaker C: She'll look at twin. I don't know if this is an action or reaction just to see what direction he's planning to go on. [00:31:41] Speaker A: He's looking directly at you. [00:31:45] Speaker G: Twin Talon seems like he is focusing on the one who seems to be in charge. [00:31:50] Speaker C: Okay, so she'll swing again. Okay, just keep this one. Keep this one busy and off of her friend. [00:31:56] Speaker A: Is that a one? [00:31:57] Speaker C: No, it's a three. [00:31:58] Speaker A: For a total of seven critical mirrors. [00:32:02] Speaker C: Give me back my 20s. [00:32:03] Speaker G: Sorry. [00:32:04] Speaker B: This is bad. This is bad. You take one d ten persistently damage. [00:32:10] Speaker A: On your turn, though. [00:32:12] Speaker G: The title of it is this is bad. [00:32:14] Speaker B: Right? I agree that this is bad. [00:32:18] Speaker H: What is it? [00:32:19] Speaker G: Well, the nice thing is you can lay on your hands to yourself or do your battle medicine and it will stop the bleed and it will also do healing. [00:32:26] Speaker C: I think as my third action I will battle medicine because I'm not looking good at all. [00:32:32] Speaker A: For the bleed clicks. [00:32:34] Speaker G: I'd have to see when persistent damage happens, but typically it happens at the beginning of your turn. [00:32:38] Speaker A: All right, I'll let you heal. [00:32:39] Speaker G: Well, it's either the beginning or the end. [00:32:44] Speaker D: Is battle medicine one action. [00:32:46] Speaker G: It is. You're just immune to it for the rest of the day. So it's very useful in combat. But it's once a day. [00:32:53] Speaker C: Okay, I get seven back. [00:32:57] Speaker F: All right. [00:32:57] Speaker B: It's taken at the end of the day. [00:32:58] Speaker A: Okay, great. [00:32:59] Speaker B: So you don't take any bleed. [00:33:01] Speaker A: That's good. [00:33:02] Speaker C: She's looking rough. Like, her back is like seeping blood and. [00:33:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:33:07] Speaker H: Oh, hello. [00:33:08] Speaker A: Another boggard moves in, sees that Brianna is hurt and is going to. [00:33:13] Speaker C: She's just lame. [00:33:14] Speaker A: Capitalize on that with a no. It's 17 with its club, miss. And then 13 with its club also miss. [00:33:23] Speaker G: But didn't it move up to get there? [00:33:24] Speaker A: Oh, you're right, you're right. It's going to stay there. Temid. [00:33:27] Speaker B: All right, so Temid's going to do something. He sees his allies taking quite a lot of damage and he's like, no time to worry about my own safety. He thinks to himself, and he kind of touched. Well, he can't really let go right now, but he mentally touches his symbol of Caden Killian, says a quick prayer and just lets go and tries to drop like 35ft before he catches it. [00:33:50] Speaker A: So I'm going to ask you a question and I'm going to make this rule up because I don't know the real rule. Pick a number one through four. Four. If I rolled the number that you picked, I was going to have you land on the bottom and have it pink. Okay. But I rolled a three. [00:34:05] Speaker B: So he's going to let go. Well, he's going to try to grab onto the thing again. [00:34:08] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah. [00:34:09] Speaker B: Because he's got 40ft. He's going to try to grab 35. [00:34:11] Speaker A: All right, so make that safe. Going to be hard. [00:34:15] Speaker B: It's a 15, right, isn't it? It's whatever the climb is. Whatever the climb is. [00:34:20] Speaker A: That's good. [00:34:20] Speaker B: I'm good. I'm fine. [00:34:21] Speaker A: All right. [00:34:21] Speaker B: I'm fine. I've got 19. [00:34:25] Speaker A: All right, so you fall down 35ft, you grab a hold of that rope and it burns your hand. Oh, no. Are you wearing those gloves? [00:34:33] Speaker F: I'm wearing those gloves, yeah. [00:34:34] Speaker A: All right, cool. Those gloves absorb some of that. [00:34:36] Speaker B: So to be clear, I'm using the grab and edge rule and we're kind of using the rope as a handhold in this situation and our GM is allowing it. [00:34:47] Speaker A: Yes. [00:34:47] Speaker B: Okay, so now I'm going to fall. [00:34:50] Speaker A: The rest of the way. [00:34:50] Speaker B: Okay, let go again. Is that one action? [00:34:53] Speaker A: The letting go the first time is one action. Okay, letting go the second time is the second action. [00:34:57] Speaker B: Where do I land? [00:34:58] Speaker A: Right there. [00:34:59] Speaker B: All right. [00:35:00] Speaker A: Convenient. [00:35:02] Speaker B: Can he? Okay, so before he falls that last 5ft, is there any way he can do like instead of doing that, can you do an athletics fix to try to land right next to Brianna? [00:35:10] Speaker A: So the hole is right above here. Okay. So you can't really swing. [00:35:14] Speaker B: Okay. [00:35:15] Speaker H: How high are the ceilings? [00:35:16] Speaker B: How's Pond watcher doing? [00:35:17] Speaker A: But the rope is against. [00:35:19] Speaker B: What are you at? [00:35:20] Speaker A: You took a crit, right. [00:35:21] Speaker D: I'll take care of 33 hit points. [00:35:24] Speaker B: Okay. He's fine. Okay. So what he's going to do is he's going to use his second level heal. And you have a single action left. I have a single action left. [00:35:35] Speaker A: Draw your sword. [00:35:36] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:35:38] Speaker H: Even if someone's unconscious, on your next turn, the mass heal will. [00:35:42] Speaker B: Right. Okay. So yeah, he'll just draw his weapon. [00:35:45] Speaker A: All right, so the boggard between Brianna and twin talons takes a club towards twin Talon for a 29. That is a hit, not a crit. No. [00:35:56] Speaker G: Everybody at this level has basically the same age. [00:35:58] Speaker H: Yeah, that wouldn't even crit me. [00:35:59] Speaker A: Take ten points of damage. [00:36:00] Speaker C: He doesn't. [00:36:01] Speaker H: He takes five. [00:36:02] Speaker A: Takes five. [00:36:02] Speaker G: And are you stepping six now? [00:36:05] Speaker A: Right? [00:36:05] Speaker G: Yeah. Yes, I will step. [00:36:07] Speaker A: Where are you stepping? [00:36:08] Speaker G: I'm going to step in between the boggard and the churrocom. [00:36:11] Speaker A: One, two. Two. [00:36:13] Speaker C: Might have to drop him. [00:36:14] Speaker G: No, up. [00:36:15] Speaker A: Oh, the big one towards the leader. [00:36:18] Speaker G: I'm using this to put myself in a position to not have her move. [00:36:23] Speaker A: Like there you are here. So one, two. [00:36:27] Speaker G: One more. [00:36:28] Speaker A: Great. All right. The second action, the boggart is going to swing at Brianna because this other target just left. Does a 16 hit you? [00:36:40] Speaker C: It does not. [00:36:41] Speaker A: All right, third action is to go. I wish I had a reaction. [00:36:46] Speaker H: Yeah. [00:36:46] Speaker B: Oh, actually I just read grab a handhold. Grab an edge a little bit more closely and. I'm sorry, I kind of want to make sure. Will you still take half the damage? Distance falls, but you treat the fall as though we're 20ft shorter. So I would take 15, but I. [00:37:03] Speaker G: Don'T fall from that. Makes a lot more sense. [00:37:05] Speaker B: Yes. So I'm going to take that damage. [00:37:08] Speaker A: Great. [00:37:09] Speaker G: So just to reiterate, if you use grab an edge, you take damage as if the ball was 20ft shorter. [00:37:15] Speaker B: Correct. [00:37:16] Speaker F: So does Surreya take damage for falling. [00:37:18] Speaker A: Out of the rope? Yes. You treat it as 20ft shorter. So you fell 25ft. [00:37:23] Speaker H: Yeah. 5ft. [00:37:23] Speaker A: Which two damage? Two damage. Okay, that's interesting. [00:37:30] Speaker H: Well, yeah, because 5ft isn't. [00:37:32] Speaker G: No, I'm just saying that. But 60ft into somebody's arms is nothing. [00:37:35] Speaker A: Yeah, I guess take 15. [00:37:38] Speaker D: Okay. [00:37:38] Speaker A: Jeez. Okay. [00:37:41] Speaker G: I don't know that they've written a lot of these. This is the first round of second edition. [00:37:46] Speaker A: Right. [00:37:46] Speaker G: We haven't seen a lot. So I'm curious if some of these situations are going to come up and they'll write different rules for them. [00:37:53] Speaker H: Yeah. Just especially given, like, in a situation like this. Honestly, I wonder, is there another way they'd suggest getting down? [00:38:00] Speaker D: I imagine the AP that deals with a circus. [00:38:04] Speaker A: It's probably going to have a lot of climbing things and juggling things and stuff. We'll have to look into jumping, flying, flipping. Cool. Getting shot out of the cannon. All right, so this churika, that is to the northwest of temid, takes a step forward and swings at him. Natural one. All of these are names. Oh, good. [00:38:29] Speaker B: Grave miscalculation. [00:38:31] Speaker A: Critically. [00:38:32] Speaker B: Hit yourself with the attack. [00:38:33] Speaker G: Oh, wow. [00:38:34] Speaker B: Not kidding. [00:38:34] Speaker A: That's a good attack. [00:38:36] Speaker B: It sounds like something I would say, but yeah. [00:38:39] Speaker G: Nice. So double damage to you and he died. [00:38:42] Speaker D: That would be hilarious. [00:38:43] Speaker G: These guys don't have a ton of hit points. [00:38:45] Speaker B: He did say a prayer to Kaden Killian before he fell. Before he let go. So this is probably still underneath that realm. [00:38:51] Speaker H: Sorry. Is still fleeing to the rope, waiting for her turn to come back up. [00:38:55] Speaker B: It was pretty easy. [00:38:56] Speaker A: All right, it's going to swing at you one more time. [00:38:58] Speaker B: How much damage did it take? [00:39:00] Speaker A: It hit himself in the face with a sickle. Pretty. [00:39:02] Speaker B: Well, he sounds pretty sick. Oh, come on. Come on. [00:39:07] Speaker G: I feel like we've done that one already. [00:39:09] Speaker B: I don't care. [00:39:09] Speaker A: I'm going to keep going to the. [00:39:10] Speaker B: Well until someone laughs. [00:39:11] Speaker A: 22. [00:39:11] Speaker B: 22 is exactly my hit point. [00:39:16] Speaker A: So you take four points of damage as the sickle hits you. [00:39:20] Speaker B: Okay. I won't make a sickle joke this time. [00:39:22] Speaker D: Spirited. [00:39:23] Speaker C: Are you sick of your sickle joke? [00:39:25] Speaker A: No. [00:39:25] Speaker B: Everyone else is because they hate Brianna. [00:39:27] Speaker A: It is your turn. No, Soraya, it is your turn. I'm reading the name and I messed up. [00:39:32] Speaker H: I know. You're just really bad at, like, just because we're the only two girls. [00:39:36] Speaker A: Sareia, your turn. [00:39:37] Speaker H: Bad. [00:39:38] Speaker A: Roger. I'm holding a spear now. [00:39:41] Speaker H: Dare you? [00:39:42] Speaker F: Unless I can do two reactions. [00:39:44] Speaker G: You can catch her on the tip of the spear. [00:39:46] Speaker C: That does not sound good. [00:39:47] Speaker H: Well, here's a question either it looks like there's at least one enemy, like, right below. [00:39:56] Speaker A: Yes. [00:39:57] Speaker H: Can I drop on the enemy? [00:39:59] Speaker A: Yes. I will let you take one action to aim and then one action to drop onto the enemy. [00:40:04] Speaker H: Do I have to roll? [00:40:06] Speaker A: No, you're going to take. [00:40:07] Speaker H: So, yes, I'll take two actions. So one is to aim. [00:40:09] Speaker A: No, you're going to take falling damage still. How much am I going to do? [00:40:14] Speaker H: I'm 20ft up. [00:40:15] Speaker A: You're 20ft up. So that would be ten damage. I'm going to split five and five. [00:40:21] Speaker H: Okay, I'll take five damage and bonkers thing. I'm starting to look a little worse for the wear, but it's not horrible. [00:40:28] Speaker G: And you fall prone. [00:40:30] Speaker H: Yes, because I do take the damage. [00:40:32] Speaker F: Just bounce off. [00:40:33] Speaker H: Yeah. I bounce off and roll and I'm still, like, up. So I will take my third action to stand up. [00:40:39] Speaker A: Okay, there you go. [00:40:40] Speaker G: Brushes herself off. [00:40:42] Speaker A: All right. The last churika that has yet to. [00:40:46] Speaker H: Act, her poor dresses is going. I mean, these are not the same ones that she bought in episode one. [00:40:52] Speaker A: Are they going to take two? Five footsteps forward towards Brianna because again, it smells blood in the water and then swings its club at you. Okay. Eight to 16 miss. Twelve miss. [00:41:07] Speaker G: Is that a critical miss? [00:41:08] Speaker C: No, not yet. And then remember, I am sickened, so my ac is down. I forgot to rest. All right, so it's going to be mine. [00:41:17] Speaker A: Going to move there. Top of round three, guys. [00:41:20] Speaker G: Wait, did it move? Attack twice and move again. [00:41:22] Speaker A: You're right, it did. So it's going to stay right there. [00:41:25] Speaker C: Keeping him honest. [00:41:26] Speaker A: It's true. [00:41:27] Speaker C: Give me my 20s back. [00:41:28] Speaker H: Thank you. [00:41:29] Speaker B: Can I have someone else? [00:41:30] Speaker A: No, get your own in range. [00:41:33] Speaker B: Can you be my turn yet? [00:41:35] Speaker G: Okay, I think it's the big bad's turn. It is heavily armored. [00:41:41] Speaker A: You see the heavily armored Chirika take a five foot step backwards. My God. Just to be safe. It never bodes well then you see it start moving its hands and you hear it start chittering. [00:41:57] Speaker B: Does it sound cute now? [00:41:59] Speaker H: No. [00:41:59] Speaker A: And I need everyone. 20 foot burst of temid. Wait, do I count as 27 actually, of this guy right here? Sorry I lied. It's going to be of this boggers. [00:42:15] Speaker C: So you can get twin too. [00:42:17] Speaker G: Nice. [00:42:17] Speaker A: They've changed everybody within 20ft, including the enemies. [00:42:22] Speaker B: I have a question. Does the bad guy have a ruler or something that you're using to determine? [00:42:28] Speaker A: Yes. Okay. [00:42:30] Speaker C: Mental ruler. [00:42:31] Speaker A: What? Save. And I need everyone to make a basic reflex save. [00:42:36] Speaker B: Like our reflexes have to wear uggs and drink Starbucks. [00:42:41] Speaker H: Look, that's our only knock. My Starbucks. [00:42:43] Speaker B: I'm drinking Starbucks also. [00:42:44] Speaker A: Okay, hang on. Let's go around and hear what everyone has rolled before we start spending hero points. What do you have? Silver? [00:42:51] Speaker D: 28. [00:42:52] Speaker A: Okay. Brianna, 22. Sareia, 18. All right. [00:42:57] Speaker H: Also, like, just for your listeners at home, you said Brianna looking straight at me again. [00:43:02] Speaker A: Pod watcher. [00:43:04] Speaker F: Can I reroll? [00:43:05] Speaker A: What did you have right now? 15. [00:43:07] Speaker F: So I'm rerolling. [00:43:08] Speaker A: Okay, yes, you may reroll. [00:43:09] Speaker F: 19. [00:43:10] Speaker A: Okay. Temid. [00:43:11] Speaker B: Also 19 and twin Talon. [00:43:13] Speaker G: I rolled a nine for a 21. [00:43:16] Speaker A: All right, for all of you who roll less than a 20, would you like to spend a hero point to roll again? [00:43:25] Speaker H: I would like to spend the one. [00:43:25] Speaker A: I was supposed to get this session roll again. [00:43:27] Speaker F: So I don't have any left. [00:43:28] Speaker A: No, 23. Okay. [00:43:31] Speaker G: Put your handle up here. [00:43:32] Speaker A: Testify. [00:43:33] Speaker H: Look, I am excited when things go well. What did you get? 22. [00:43:37] Speaker B: 22. Okay, so you're good. [00:43:39] Speaker G: It was you plus three to reflexes. [00:43:41] Speaker H: That's good. [00:43:41] Speaker F: Am I the only one that failed now? [00:43:43] Speaker B: No, I failed. [00:43:44] Speaker A: Okay. Even if you saved, you're taking half. [00:43:49] Speaker H: This might actually be fireball. [00:43:51] Speaker A: Yeah. Let me explain what happens. You see a small red bead launched from this guy's hand. [00:43:57] Speaker D: Oh, no. [00:43:58] Speaker A: And it hits. [00:43:59] Speaker B: So as the bead approaches, I throw a mug of Ali. [00:44:02] Speaker G: I would like to be level seven. [00:44:03] Speaker H: You have like a counterfeit thing? [00:44:05] Speaker G: I have evasion at level seven so I can take no damage. [00:44:08] Speaker H: Yeah. [00:44:08] Speaker A: So the good news is none of its allies saved, all right? [00:44:12] Speaker H: It's just going full scorched earth. [00:44:14] Speaker A: You see this little bead hit this boggard in the chest, and the boggard's bug eyes bug out even more as a fireball erupts from this bead engulfing the 20 foot area. So let me roll my 66. [00:44:28] Speaker H: Fuck. [00:44:29] Speaker A: Jesus. [00:44:33] Speaker D: What are you at, Brian? What are you at? [00:44:36] Speaker A: So, if you save or. No, if you did not save, you are taking 25 damage. [00:44:41] Speaker B: God damn it. Holy shit. [00:44:45] Speaker D: Twelve for everybody else. [00:44:47] Speaker A: Yes. Twelve points for everyone else. [00:44:49] Speaker H: That hurts. [00:44:51] Speaker B: Are you down? [00:44:52] Speaker C: No, but I'm. [00:44:53] Speaker A: What are you good. [00:44:54] Speaker D: All right. [00:44:54] Speaker G: It's a good thing you gave yourself that seven hit points, because I would have been dead. [00:44:59] Speaker C: I'm just going to say dead because Wolf did it. [00:45:02] Speaker G: Obliterate all the other monsters. [00:45:04] Speaker A: All but one. [00:45:05] Speaker C: Do you not like your friends? [00:45:07] Speaker G: You must be important because you failed your saving. You're still up. We said all but one, but they all failed. [00:45:13] Speaker D: He has another one of those. [00:45:16] Speaker B: I mean, I can just triage a little bit, but I cannot regain everything. [00:45:20] Speaker G: All right, that was foolish. Well, because now we can focus our attacks on him. [00:45:24] Speaker A: There's still two other boggart there and he panicked. Is this twin talent? [00:45:29] Speaker G: You're up. I am going to try to get through him, to get behind him, all right? Or move around him without taking attack opportunity. [00:45:35] Speaker A: He's got one all right, do you want him there or do you want to go further? [00:45:39] Speaker G: That's fine. I think I've stopped him from. If I'm there, there's not a full square for him to move past. All right, there, then I'm going to use twin faint. All right, so that is a two action attack. I attack with. Oh, no, I don't have my other weapon now, so I'm going to quick draw my second sword. [00:45:55] Speaker A: All right. [00:45:55] Speaker D: No. [00:45:56] Speaker G: Change my mind again. [00:45:56] Speaker A: God, I never do this guy. [00:46:00] Speaker G: Okay, so now that I'm behind him, I'm going to apply poison to my blade and then make one attack. [00:46:05] Speaker F: All right, but does he have an attack of opportunity? That's an interactive action. [00:46:09] Speaker G: It's a manipulate action. [00:46:11] Speaker A: He's going to pass. [00:46:12] Speaker G: Okay, I got a 30 that will hit, but it's not a crit. [00:46:17] Speaker A: I'm assuming 30 is not a crit, is it? I don't think it is, perhaps for you. [00:46:22] Speaker G: So, 13 damage, one of which is. [00:46:25] Speaker A: All right, it is still up, Silver. [00:46:28] Speaker D: Okay. [00:46:28] Speaker A: Fireball just washed over you. It wouldn't be the first time. [00:46:33] Speaker D: Silver is going to cast a spell on Pond watcher. It's right next to him. It's called soothe one of my signature spells. Not too bad. [00:46:47] Speaker A: Oh, God. [00:46:49] Speaker D: 23 hit points back. [00:46:53] Speaker A: Holy shit. [00:46:54] Speaker D: And then he's going to walk. Yeah, I have something brewing, but I'll just do spire courage for the last action. [00:47:06] Speaker A: All right, next up is one of the two remaining boggarts. It's going to try and make an athletics check to hop over you. 28. Yes. [00:47:18] Speaker G: It's Maryplex DC, which is 22. [00:47:21] Speaker A: Great. So it's behind you. Now, it's a shame you can't be flanked, but then it's going to swing its club at you. Actually, this guy, that's all he can do. He is slowed, too. [00:47:33] Speaker H: I can't. Why'd you run ahead? [00:47:35] Speaker A: Pond watcher, you're up. [00:47:38] Speaker F: I can't really tell what's going on. Can you zoom in a little? Is there still a boggart over there? [00:47:44] Speaker C: There's one by me. [00:47:45] Speaker F: There's one by her, right? [00:47:46] Speaker A: Yes, there's one by Brianna. [00:47:49] Speaker F: And with the diagonal, I can't reach right. [00:47:52] Speaker A: Correct. You can step into. [00:47:54] Speaker F: I'm going to use sudden charge to attack the main jerka. All right, so two strides. I'm going to flank with twin. Two strides, then a strike. [00:48:05] Speaker A: It's two actions. Okay, 30 will hit. [00:48:11] Speaker B: Wait. With the flanking. Is that a crit? [00:48:14] Speaker A: He doesn't lose any. No. [00:48:16] Speaker G: Is he flat footed? [00:48:17] Speaker A: Oh, that will crit. [00:48:23] Speaker C: Well done. [00:48:24] Speaker G: And which are you slashing or piercing? [00:48:27] Speaker A: This would be slashing. Gut slash. [00:48:31] Speaker G: The target takes one d, four persistent bleed damage, and any creature it swallows whole is immediately released. So it's double damage plus one d, four persistent bleed. [00:48:40] Speaker B: Super useful. [00:48:41] Speaker F: 16 damage. [00:48:43] Speaker A: Is that doubled? Oh, yeah. 16 times two is 32. Stop it. [00:48:50] Speaker F: There's many things added up here. 32 points attach. [00:48:57] Speaker A: Okay, you slash his gut and you see a bunch of his armor. Takes in some of it, but he is not looking good as blood starts to leak from his chest. [00:49:12] Speaker F: I have one more action. Okay, I am going to attack again. [00:49:19] Speaker A: That is a critical miss. Again. [00:49:22] Speaker F: A crit miss. A crit and then a crit miss. Like five conditions on me already. [00:49:28] Speaker B: Attack the darkness. Your enemies are concealed from you until the end of your next turn. So it's not a forever kind of thing, like normal. [00:49:36] Speaker F: That's true. [00:49:38] Speaker C: It's your turn, Brienna. [00:49:40] Speaker A: Some of the blood from the enemy just splashed into your eyes. [00:49:44] Speaker C: Oh, his eyes. [00:49:45] Speaker A: Got it. His eyes. [00:49:46] Speaker B: She's like, what? [00:49:47] Speaker C: I'm like, who is? If anything, my own blood is probably in my eyes. Brianna will lurch slightly to her right and not being able to contain it any longer. No, as in, like, just swivel in her. [00:50:01] Speaker A: Gotcha. [00:50:02] Speaker C: In her square. Not being able to contain any longer. Just wretches all over the poor chudo. Crouch goes to town. [00:50:10] Speaker A: You puke on the boggard. [00:50:11] Speaker C: Yes, sorry. Boggard. [00:50:12] Speaker A: Fine. [00:50:13] Speaker C: I don't know what the DC is. [00:50:14] Speaker G: But I think it's a flat 15. [00:50:17] Speaker C: Okay, then I make it with a 25. Or do I quit? [00:50:20] Speaker A: Yes, you quit. [00:50:21] Speaker C: So I'm no longer sickened. [00:50:23] Speaker A: Correct. [00:50:23] Speaker C: Excellent. So that's my first. [00:50:27] Speaker G: What a disgusting round already. [00:50:28] Speaker H: Sorry. [00:50:29] Speaker D: So well versed. [00:50:32] Speaker C: I mean, since childhood, but that's a different story. [00:50:37] Speaker D: It's getting dark. [00:50:41] Speaker C: Okay, first round, she will vomit on him and then be like, I'm so sorry, that was so rude of me. So will this be for a nut? 17. [00:50:50] Speaker B: Nice. [00:50:51] Speaker C: On the die for a my brain. 28. [00:50:57] Speaker A: That's a crit. [00:51:00] Speaker G: Slashing, right? [00:51:01] Speaker C: Oh, yes. Sorry. [00:51:02] Speaker G: Normal damage until healed. The target is enfeebled one, clumsy one and can't use one of its hands. [00:51:10] Speaker D: Sorry, Sean. [00:51:11] Speaker H: Cut your handles. [00:51:12] Speaker C: Sliced hand for seven points of damage. [00:51:15] Speaker A: You slice its hand and it dies. [00:51:20] Speaker B: Is that where the heart. [00:51:22] Speaker A: Temid is? Your turn. [00:51:23] Speaker B: Okay, so is it going to be some type of action for temid to look around the room and see the state of his allies? [00:51:28] Speaker C: Hang on, I have one more. [00:51:30] Speaker A: You have one more action. [00:51:34] Speaker C: It's okay. It always gets me in second edition that there are. Anyway, will I be squeezing if I go into the square that's in front of the big bad? [00:51:48] Speaker G: That's a full square. [00:51:50] Speaker H: Oh, yeah. [00:51:50] Speaker C: I can get to him diagonally. [00:51:52] Speaker H: Okay. [00:51:52] Speaker C: I will defend my friends and then. [00:51:56] Speaker A: All right. Timid. [00:51:58] Speaker B: Okay, so at this point Temin's going to look at both Brianna and Pond Watcher and try to see mean. Is it going to be an action if he tries to determine who is more injured? [00:52:09] Speaker G: When you say Brianna, do you mean Surreya? [00:52:11] Speaker B: No, Brianna, the champion. [00:52:14] Speaker G: Okay, I just ask because you're next. [00:52:16] Speaker A: To the other two. No, it's not going to be an action. But everyone is just pouring blood out of everywhere. [00:52:21] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah, that's true. Okay, so he's going to step up so that he's within 30ft of Brienna. He has 20ft of movement. So I think that that should be fine. [00:52:33] Speaker A: You're currently within 30ft of movement. [00:52:35] Speaker B: Okay. [00:52:35] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:52:36] Speaker B: So he's just going to spend one. I'm sorry. Two actions to cast his second level heal spell. And so he's going to do two d ten plus 16 hit points back to the. And he says, you know what? Let's see. The drunken hero will protect us. Seven plus 1623. She gets 23 hit points back. [00:53:00] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:53:00] Speaker G: Claire. [00:53:01] Speaker B: And then he spends one action. I want to cash yield, but no. [00:53:09] Speaker H: You should want to save my own ass. [00:53:11] Speaker B: He spends one action to. [00:53:16] Speaker A: Let's see. [00:53:17] Speaker B: He'll just move up closer to action just in case he needs to heal again. [00:53:21] Speaker A: All right, Surreya. [00:53:24] Speaker H: I think she's going to take two actions to dig out and chug a healing potion. [00:53:28] Speaker A: Okay. [00:53:29] Speaker H: What were those? Like one d six plus. What were the ones that we had. [00:53:32] Speaker A: One d six plus one? [00:53:35] Speaker G: No, I honestly don't remember. What is it? [00:53:37] Speaker H: Do we have moderate healing potions? [00:53:40] Speaker G: Do you know? [00:53:40] Speaker B: I'm sorry, which? [00:53:41] Speaker A: The level of healing potion we have. [00:53:43] Speaker H: Because one d six plus one, I think, is what my elixir of life does. And the healing potions are better? [00:53:49] Speaker G: Yeah, they're d eight or something. [00:53:52] Speaker H: What level of healing potion are they? [00:53:54] Speaker A: Moderate. [00:53:55] Speaker H: Moderate. [00:53:56] Speaker B: We have minor, minor, minor, lesser. No, minors are better than lessers. [00:54:02] Speaker A: Right? [00:54:03] Speaker H: Yes. [00:54:04] Speaker B: So those are the two levels that we have. Miners and lessers. [00:54:06] Speaker A: Okay, so you're going to drink a potion, right? [00:54:09] Speaker H: Yes. And then I would probably run. [00:54:13] Speaker A: All right. The creature, the churika's turn. [00:54:18] Speaker B: Actually, lesser is better. [00:54:20] Speaker A: The creature's turn is going to take one d four bleed. [00:54:23] Speaker G: It does it at the end of its turn. [00:54:25] Speaker B: Okay. [00:54:25] Speaker A: Well, it's going to take four at. [00:54:26] Speaker B: The end of its turn. [00:54:27] Speaker A: Nice. Where are you? I can hear your blood. It's going to turn to twin Talon. And can you please. Twin Talon, can you please make a fortitude save? Okay. [00:54:46] Speaker G: 20. [00:54:47] Speaker A: Okay, as you see him touch you, you take one point of damage. [00:54:53] Speaker G: Did I succeed? [00:54:54] Speaker A: You did succeed. Okay. And then pond watcher, give me a fortitude save. [00:55:00] Speaker F: Oh, I'm out of hero points. [00:55:01] Speaker A: Yeah. Three to 1313. You're taking nine points of damage as he touches you. [00:55:08] Speaker C: No, he'll take minus six to that. [00:55:11] Speaker A: Okay. And you can take two steps. Brianna, give me a fortitude save. [00:55:14] Speaker C: Sure. 25. [00:55:18] Speaker A: Okay, you take four points of damage as he touches you. Twin Talon, you're up. [00:55:27] Speaker G: Okay, now that pond watcher is flanking with him. Basically the same thing he does every. I'm going to use my hero point to reroll that natural one. [00:55:38] Speaker A: All right, rerolling that one. Give me that hero point. [00:55:45] Speaker G: 14. [00:55:47] Speaker A: That will miss. [00:55:48] Speaker H: Okay, good. [00:55:49] Speaker G: I'm going to attack again. [00:55:51] Speaker A: All right. [00:55:53] Speaker G: 16 versus flat footed ac. [00:55:55] Speaker A: Flat footed. That will still miss. [00:55:57] Speaker G: Wish there was something better I could do. So, question. If I've attacked twice, does that affect, like if I try to trip somebody or is that a different thing? [00:56:06] Speaker A: Different. [00:56:07] Speaker G: Then I will attempt to make a trip attack since I have one hand free. [00:56:10] Speaker A: Okay. Athletics, I believe, versus replace. [00:56:18] Speaker G: Twelve. [00:56:19] Speaker A: Miss. Cool. All right, silver, you're up. [00:56:22] Speaker D: Okay, quick question. Is there anything I can stick this scale I have in? [00:56:30] Speaker A: No, not that you can see. [00:56:31] Speaker D: Not that I can. [00:56:32] Speaker A: Cool. [00:56:34] Speaker D: Then I will walk up right next to temid. [00:56:38] Speaker A: Okay. [00:56:39] Speaker D: And then I am going to touch temid. Give him some power of faith. Healing. 24. [00:56:48] Speaker A: Healing. [00:56:49] Speaker B: Oh, nice. Thank you. [00:56:50] Speaker D: To you. As I cast soothe on, you also get a circumstantial bonus against mind effective effects. [00:56:58] Speaker B: You mean I can drink a lot more? [00:57:00] Speaker D: So what he does is he touches you and you feel the calmness of the sturdiness and reliability that you have. Ancient and wise. Feel that comfort. [00:57:15] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:57:16] Speaker A: The last boggart who is flanking twin Talon is going to hit. Try and hit him with a club. Okay, so the first attack is a 15. [00:57:26] Speaker G: That is a fail. [00:57:27] Speaker A: Next one is a 20 fail. The third one is a critical failure. [00:57:32] Speaker G: With a one occupied melee. Catch your breath. You are slowed too, until the end of your next turn. [00:57:41] Speaker A: So he is back to being. [00:57:44] Speaker D: So much machine. [00:57:46] Speaker H: One of those things. [00:57:47] Speaker A: It's pond watcher, you're up. [00:57:49] Speaker F: Can someone tell me what concealed means? [00:57:52] Speaker A: Yes. Concealed means you need to make a flat dc five. Check. When targeting with a non area effect. So attack. You would have worse. You need to make a five and then you can. [00:58:07] Speaker F: I'm going to blindly stab forward with my elders. All right, I'll do the attack roll first and then the flat check. [00:58:14] Speaker A: Sure. Whatever way you want to go. [00:58:16] Speaker F: 20 total. [00:58:18] Speaker A: That's a miss. So I won't roll it. Actually, no, that's a hit because you are flanking him. [00:58:26] Speaker F: All right, now you have to roll 20. [00:58:28] Speaker A: Roll right. Yes. [00:58:29] Speaker B: 517. [00:58:30] Speaker A: All right, so you hit him. Nice. [00:58:35] Speaker F: 20 damage, you kill him. [00:58:39] Speaker A: Yes. Your halberd goes through and punctures the armor, and you see the light leave his eyes. [00:58:48] Speaker H: The big guy. [00:58:49] Speaker A: Yes. [00:58:50] Speaker H: Nice. [00:58:51] Speaker A: As he dies, the other boggard dies. [00:58:54] Speaker B: Behind him because you're just tired of running this encounter. [00:58:57] Speaker D: No bleed. [00:58:58] Speaker A: And with that cleared this bottom area, I'm going to give you guys a second to catch your breath. You know what? Let's give you a week to catch. [00:59:08] Speaker B: I knew you were going to do that. [00:59:11] Speaker E: With the evil Malaron dead, what's next for our heroes? What will they find down here?
