[00:00:43] Speaker A: I'm your host and GM, Sean. And aren't you lucky you get to hear my voice for two intros in a row, and that hasn't happened in a while. So first off, I want to say thank you for downloading the show. Secondly, I want to talk about what I have in what I call my GM's toolbox. In my GM's toolbox, I have all my miniatures. I have some dice, some pencils and things. But I just recently added a new book to that list. Pizzo just released the Pathfinder second edition game Mastery Guide. And let me tell you what, this book is really cool. It gives me and other jams, tricks, and tips. It doesn't matter how long you've been gaming, this book will really help. So if you ever had the inkling and maybe you wanted to GM, I would definitely recommend picking this book up. If you've been game mastering or gming for 20 years like myself, I still recommend picking up this book because it gives so many good little tips and tricks that I can't wait to apply to our show. I hope you'll notice the difference and some of the cool new things I'm doing. But that's one of the things I love about Pizzo, is they take the time to put out these books that give everyone a little bit more to add to their toolbox. All right, I've talked enough about the game mastery guide. Now, there are two more things I. [00:02:02] Speaker B: Want to talk about. [00:02:02] Speaker A: Then I want to get you to the table because this episode. So first things first, our Patreon. I want to thank all of our patrons that have joined up on the Patreon already. And if you haven't joined up, what are you waiting for? We got two tiers, a $2 and a $5 tier. But if you head over to patreon.com cracked Die podcast, look at our tiers, and if you can pitch in, please pitch in. We would love to have you over there. And the second thing, we are still running our win a core rulebook contest. I'm going to lower the number a little bit. I'm going to say ten reviews. We need four more reviews. If you get your review in written review on Apple Podcast, we will put your name into a drawing to draw and win a Pathfinder second Edition core rulebook. Now, I'm sure some people already have it, but it's never bad to have a second core rulebook. And if you don't have one, this is your chance to get one for free. Rate and review us on the Apple podcasts app, and you'll be entered to win. All right, I've rambled on way longer than I should have, so let's get to the table. Enjoy. Episode 26 of the Crack Die podcast. Welcome to the 26th episode of the Crack Die podcast. [00:03:24] Speaker C: How are we still here? [00:03:27] Speaker A: How have we not been canceled? [00:03:29] Speaker D: Because we determine whether or not we're. [00:03:31] Speaker B: There's no one to overlook. Like oversee, that's why. [00:03:34] Speaker A: Makes sense. [00:03:35] Speaker E: Don't give them ideas. They might just keep giving us horrible ratings. [00:03:39] Speaker A: Yeah, please don't do that. [00:03:40] Speaker B: Hello. [00:03:41] Speaker A: She's back. [00:03:42] Speaker C: Hooray. [00:03:43] Speaker B: Neither Christine nor Sora have any idea what happened. [00:03:47] Speaker A: Perfect. [00:03:48] Speaker F: Previously on the Cracked Die podcast. All heroes had an encounter with the mercenary group the bloody Blades. Twin Talon, being left outside, stealthily managed to disable many of the members, while the rest of the party dealt with the leader, Dmiri inside the main cabin. After dealing with the bloody blades, our heroes continue their search for the villain, Vaz Lorraine. Will they ever find her? Will soraya ever return to the group? Find out the answers to these questions and more on this episode of the Cracked Die podcast. [00:04:27] Speaker A: As you shouldn't. Over the past day, you have spent some time in breech Hill. You've been looking around. Everything around this city seems normal and fine. So you've gone back to your cave to do some research. [00:04:40] Speaker B: I have. [00:04:41] Speaker A: So, please, what is your or please give me some alchemy. Crafting roles. [00:04:46] Speaker B: Sure. [00:04:46] Speaker A: See, you're trying to figure out what's going on with these potions, and you're trying to. [00:04:53] Speaker B: I'm reverse engineering which one? [00:04:55] Speaker A: Because you have to pick one to start. [00:04:56] Speaker B: All things considered, I think I'm going to go with the healing potion. [00:05:01] Speaker E: No, it's a good idea. [00:05:02] Speaker B: Oh, look at that. That is a 29. [00:05:06] Speaker E: Nice. [00:05:06] Speaker A: All right, so you make some progress, and then you're like, I should probably find my friends, or at least the people I've been venturing with, set up. [00:05:16] Speaker B: A couple of reactions, I get them going. Jasper has a nice roll around in his favorite little spot, and then it's time to go again. [00:05:23] Speaker A: Yeah. So you head back as you're walking towards where you were told your group would be. A half orc bloodied is running from the scene screaming. [00:05:36] Speaker B: What is he screaming? Just like ghosts. Do I recognize this man? [00:05:43] Speaker A: What is your perception bonus? [00:05:45] Speaker B: My perception bonus? I also have society. [00:05:48] Speaker A: Oh, yeah? What's your society bonus? [00:05:50] Speaker B: Plus nine? Much better than my perception. [00:05:52] Speaker A: You recognize this as a member of the bloody blades. This is a minor thieves group that is around the area that you know, is a bounty on their head. [00:06:02] Speaker B: Oh, hey. [00:06:04] Speaker A: They're in the trees. They're everywhere. [00:06:07] Speaker B: Has he stopped or is he still running? [00:06:09] Speaker A: He's still running. [00:06:10] Speaker B: I'm going to check a tangle footbag at him and see if I can't slow him down or trip him up. [00:06:14] Speaker A: All right, make an attack roll, please. [00:06:17] Speaker B: 22. [00:06:18] Speaker C: Nice. [00:06:19] Speaker A: That'll hit. [00:06:21] Speaker B: So I'm hoping that getting his feet all tangled up while he's trying to run knocks him down. [00:06:26] Speaker A: Oh. He face plants straight into the ground. [00:06:29] Speaker D: And dies on impact. [00:06:31] Speaker A: No. [00:06:31] Speaker B: Yeah, his tusks just right into his face. [00:06:34] Speaker A: No, he falls on the ground. What are you doing? [00:06:41] Speaker B: You don't think the town likes you very much? [00:06:44] Speaker A: It's fine. I'd rather be safe in the town than back where we were. [00:06:48] Speaker B: You know what? She's going to pull some rope out of her pack. [00:06:52] Speaker A: What do you tie up his hands? Okay, so you tie him up. [00:06:56] Speaker B: Yes. You're going to take me to where those scary things are. Because I think those are my friends. [00:07:01] Speaker A: Your friends with ghosts. [00:07:02] Speaker B: Jasper lands on his chest and just right in his face and starts pecking. Does he have any decoration with his tusks or piercings or anything? [00:07:09] Speaker A: Not anymore. They're on the ground. [00:07:12] Speaker B: Well, if there's anything shiny, Jasper is. [00:07:14] Speaker A: Jasper hops around and picks up the gold tooth that you knocked out. [00:07:18] Speaker B: Oh, geez. He's very happy with it. [00:07:21] Speaker D: How much is it worth? You're not here. Well, no, I'm at the table. [00:07:26] Speaker A: Okay. [00:07:27] Speaker D: Kemid's not there. [00:07:28] Speaker B: Is it a solid gold? [00:07:29] Speaker A: No, it's a fake gold. It's pyrite. [00:07:33] Speaker B: Fool's gold. I thought for a second he had, like, gold. [00:07:36] Speaker A: No, no. So he begrudgingly leads you back to the entire time. [00:07:41] Speaker B: She's also just kind of, like, checking her alchemical things. There's, like, little minor explosions happening. She's mostly doing this to intimidate him and not actually. [00:07:48] Speaker A: You succeed. You wind up in a clearing. You see three elevated platforms. There are bodies at the bottom of two of them. And your group of friends is just hacking them to pieces, tying them up and taking parts of their clothes to prove that they've been dead. They've been killed. Like this insignia of the bloody blades. [00:08:13] Speaker B: Jasper's going to fly over, probably land on pond watchers. Halbert. Because he likes it. [00:08:20] Speaker G: The demon bird is back. [00:08:22] Speaker B: Hello? I think I found one. [00:08:25] Speaker C: Hey, Surya. Yeah, that's the one that got away. [00:08:29] Speaker B: It is part of their group. All right. He was running and screaming about ghosts. [00:08:33] Speaker E: Yes. Excuse me, twin Talon did quite a ghostly attack formation on them. I think it's understandable that he's afraid. [00:08:43] Speaker B: Well, she's looking around. There's dead bodies, I assume. And, like, blood and gore. [00:08:48] Speaker G: It's okay. They were not nice people. [00:08:50] Speaker E: They were not. It is good to have you back, though. [00:08:52] Speaker B: It's nice to see you all again. Thank you for completely leaving me to do my thing. Hopefully, I should be able to make some healing potions for us whenever we like. [00:09:01] Speaker E: That sounds perfect. [00:09:03] Speaker B: Wonderful. Wonderful. [00:09:04] Speaker G: We will probably need that, given how things have been going. [00:09:07] Speaker B: Well, that's why I still have the invisibility potion. But I figured if there was anything I could make on the fly, healing potions might be a little bit better for us. [00:09:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:09:15] Speaker B: Looks like it's too late for your compatriot, Stone. She looks over at the Orc. [00:09:19] Speaker A: His eyes are just wide and bugging out. You're not going to kill me, are you? [00:09:27] Speaker E: No. You're worth more alive than dead. And you should repent as to all the horrors you have done. [00:09:33] Speaker C: Although if you try to escape, there's no telling what could happen without ghost. [00:09:37] Speaker B: Must return. Wouldn't he? [00:09:39] Speaker C: It's possible. [00:09:40] Speaker A: You see the color drain from his purple features? Oh, he's purple. They're like different colors. Yeah, they're different colors. It's like a lilac, and it kind of drains out. [00:09:50] Speaker D: Also, the tangle footbad bag has stopped his circulation and he's turning purple. [00:09:55] Speaker A: Yeah, you're suffocating him. [00:09:57] Speaker C: Threw it on his neck. That's real weird. [00:09:59] Speaker B: I was aiming for his feet. [00:10:00] Speaker D: In fact, he's not alive at all. You've been puppeteering him, asking him questions. [00:10:05] Speaker B: Secretly necromancer. Guys, here's my new character. No, I'm joking. [00:10:09] Speaker A: Oh, no. All right, so you're at the mouth of this cave entrance that is covered with moss. Moss? I was going to say chitin, and I don't think that's right. [00:10:18] Speaker C: No, I think you mean lichen. [00:10:19] Speaker A: Lichen? No, that's water based. [00:10:22] Speaker B: Lichen is moss. [00:10:23] Speaker A: Moss. Oh, is it? [00:10:25] Speaker C: Chitin is what's on the outside of bugs? [00:10:27] Speaker B: Yes. [00:10:28] Speaker A: Okay. [00:10:28] Speaker C: The hard shell, also mispronounced as chitten. [00:10:32] Speaker B: Much like lichen is also possibly lichen. [00:10:34] Speaker C: Sometimes. [00:10:35] Speaker A: All right, so there's moss in the front of this cave. [00:10:38] Speaker D: That's lichen. [00:10:39] Speaker G: Oh, by the way, Vaz is inside this cave, Soraya. That's why we're going inside a cave, if you were wondering. [00:10:45] Speaker B: That's not like I'm out of place in them. So Vaz is here, though. [00:10:49] Speaker G: You said yes. That's why they were protected. She hired them. [00:10:55] Speaker A: All right. Yes. [00:10:56] Speaker E: We will be needing your eyes, especially. [00:10:58] Speaker C: Your alpha's and what they see. [00:11:02] Speaker A: All right. [00:11:02] Speaker B: Good to be back, guys. [00:11:04] Speaker A: Who is leading the party into the cave? [00:11:07] Speaker B: Should I go scouting again? That seemed to work well enough last time. [00:11:11] Speaker C: Yeah, I would. Just be careful. I tried to go in there to see if I could maybe get the drop on vase before everything jumped off out here, but it's pitch black. I don't know if she can see in the dark or if she's just not anywhere near the entrance. So you'd be better equipped to tell us either of those things. [00:11:28] Speaker B: I'll take a few steps in and see what I can or can't do. None of you can message, can you? [00:11:32] Speaker G: Just with whispers or shouts. We could shout hello. [00:11:37] Speaker A: No. [00:11:39] Speaker B: I will leave Jasper out here with you. He starts flapping around and screaming. There might be some trouble. [00:11:47] Speaker A: Okay, so, Soraya, you enter the cave. This cavern has a layer of dirt strewn about its floor, soaked and muddy in places by moisture. And disturbed, it would appear, by passage of 2ft. Two tunnels lead further in, one to the north and another to the south. [00:12:04] Speaker B: So I'll poke my head back out and relay that to the group. The first chamber is just a large open space. There's two tunnels that lead out. [00:12:11] Speaker H: Okay. [00:12:12] Speaker B: I don't know if you all want to come into this first space with me. You can bring a light source and I can continue on. [00:12:19] Speaker E: Is there light still being cast on my shield? I think it was silver. [00:12:22] Speaker A: Was that you? [00:12:23] Speaker H: Yeah. I can cast it again if you need it. [00:12:25] Speaker E: Sure, that'd be lovely. [00:12:27] Speaker A: I've also got light, and we've got. [00:12:28] Speaker C: A continual light torch now, too. But I don't know who best to use that other than myself. Only because Teman needs one hand free to cast. If he's got a sword in his other hand that doesn't work. Silver needs two hands to play his guitar. Pond Watcher's got a two handed weapon. [00:12:43] Speaker D: Don't you need two hands to stab with both your weapons? [00:12:46] Speaker C: I do. But in second edition, being a two weapon fighter is mostly cosmetic. [00:12:52] Speaker D: Okay. [00:12:53] Speaker C: There are very few abilities that use both my weapons, so I wouldn't be able to do the thing that is two actions to catch them flat footed on the second attack. But I can do basically everything else that I do. [00:13:02] Speaker D: Okay. [00:13:03] Speaker G: Maybe you could just put it in your belt. [00:13:06] Speaker C: What, my sword or my. [00:13:07] Speaker G: No, the torch. [00:13:09] Speaker C: I could do that. [00:13:10] Speaker G: Like on your belly button. [00:13:11] Speaker H: I could. [00:13:12] Speaker G: Why don't hold it in your mouth. [00:13:14] Speaker C: I could, yeah. [00:13:15] Speaker A: Why. [00:13:16] Speaker B: Why don't we give it to Jasper? [00:13:18] Speaker D: You'll catch on fire. [00:13:19] Speaker B: Is it an actual flame? [00:13:20] Speaker C: No, it's the continual flame spell, which I believe is just. It lights as if a torch, but it's not actually hot. I don't think you can cook anything on it. [00:13:28] Speaker B: Well, he's got little hands. [00:13:30] Speaker C: That's right. Because he's got the thing where you can manipulate objects. [00:13:32] Speaker A: Right. [00:13:32] Speaker C: You can open doors and stuff. [00:13:33] Speaker B: Manual. Like 30? [00:13:34] Speaker H: Yeah. [00:13:36] Speaker E: How much weight can he carry? [00:13:37] Speaker B: How heavy is it? [00:13:38] Speaker E: I have no idea. [00:13:39] Speaker D: Who has exactly that much? [00:13:40] Speaker B: I'm assuming it's either very light bulk or, like, negligible if it's literally a stick. He's my lab assistant. I'm assuming he can drag things around. [00:13:50] Speaker C: So ideally he would hang out on my back, on my shoulder, and he. [00:13:55] Speaker B: Can keep it in his beak or in a. [00:13:57] Speaker C: And default have it in my backpack, flame down, so that it's not giving. [00:14:02] Speaker B: Off light until you need it. [00:14:04] Speaker C: Until we need it. [00:14:04] Speaker B: And then he can whip it out and it's shiny. I'm sure he would love it. [00:14:10] Speaker E: Just has his head in the backpack. [00:14:11] Speaker B: Like, poking at it. Stop touching my stuff. During the time that they have traveled, Soraya has fashioned the little pirate tusk into a little necklace for him. He's very proud of it. When he's not doing anything, he's on his back playing over there with his little I. She can come back out and get you guys situated with that. And tell Jasper to stay on your backpack or your shoulder and not to peck anything. [00:14:33] Speaker C: Especially not my head. [00:14:35] Speaker D: My shiny. [00:14:35] Speaker B: Don't peck the head. Don't peck the swords. And don't know. Those are not worms on his neck. He's surprisingly friendly. He likes to, like, rub. [00:14:47] Speaker C: How disconcerting would that be? Just like this. Fleshy. [00:14:49] Speaker B: It feels like suede. Give her. [00:14:51] Speaker A: Put a sphinx cat. [00:14:56] Speaker G: Why can't you just have a dog or something? [00:14:59] Speaker C: Or a monkey. [00:15:00] Speaker A: Oh, monkeys. [00:15:01] Speaker C: Monkey lab assistant. That'd be good, right? [00:15:03] Speaker B: Would you rather a monkey? Homunculus. [00:15:05] Speaker C: A homunculus. Monkey list. [00:15:08] Speaker E: Homunculus. [00:15:09] Speaker C: There's something there. [00:15:10] Speaker E: Yeah, we'll workshop it. [00:15:12] Speaker B: Okay. So do you guys all come into the first room? [00:15:16] Speaker H: Yeah. [00:15:17] Speaker B: Do you want him to be holding out the torch? [00:15:19] Speaker C: No, I'll wait till. Because we still don't know what's. There's two ways out of here. And it could be that. [00:15:24] Speaker B: Yes. So it appears that the tunnels to the north narrow significantly. [00:15:32] Speaker A: Okay, so you all move into the first room. Yes. [00:15:35] Speaker G: Where do the footsteps go. [00:15:37] Speaker B: Where do the footsteps go? [00:15:38] Speaker A: So dark in here. Who wants to give me a survival check? Who? [00:15:45] Speaker C: I can. [00:15:46] Speaker D: I'm trained in survival as well. [00:15:48] Speaker G: All right, so am I. [00:15:49] Speaker A: Are you all making separate survival checks or. [00:15:51] Speaker D: 28 natural? 20. [00:15:53] Speaker B: Nice. [00:15:54] Speaker G: We all agreed to let anwar do it. [00:15:57] Speaker D: I just went ahead. [00:15:57] Speaker C: We believe whatever time it says. [00:15:59] Speaker D: All right, so, everyone, these footprints are made by a barrel of ale. [00:16:05] Speaker A: The footprints were left by a medium humanoid and head toward the southern exit. No tracks lead north. We go north. [00:16:15] Speaker C: I think it is also suspicious that there are no tracks to the north. [00:16:18] Speaker A: You can investigate them since you rolled so well. You can tell that they were left by a human or perhaps a half elf. That's what it says. On a critical success. [00:16:28] Speaker H: Wow. [00:16:28] Speaker C: All right. [00:16:29] Speaker G: Not dainty enough to be a full elf. [00:16:32] Speaker A: Sorry. [00:16:32] Speaker B: Hair flips. [00:16:34] Speaker H: There are no tracks going. [00:16:35] Speaker G: Just vogue for a second. [00:16:36] Speaker H: North. [00:16:37] Speaker A: Correct. [00:16:38] Speaker B: Do we want to explore the north and see what we can find before we run into it? [00:16:42] Speaker D: Yes, I think maybe we can find another way around or get the jump on people or worst case scenario, it's a dead end. [00:16:49] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't think there's anything. [00:16:51] Speaker B: There is another room to the north. It seems like the hallway narrows considerably. Considering what I'm looking at is about. [00:16:58] Speaker H: Like, half of it timid. If, in your mind, the worst case scenario down a dark hallway in a cave is that it's a dead end, then you've got one nice outlook on life. [00:17:09] Speaker D: Well, what can happen with a group of very strong individuals such as ourselves? [00:17:13] Speaker H: Happened to me once. Where they all got killed by some ungodly horror from a different dimension. [00:17:19] Speaker E: Well, let us have faith that that won't happen. Here we are facing simply a half elven woman. Let us see what is to the north and we can make our decision from there. [00:17:30] Speaker A: Sure. [00:17:30] Speaker H: I think we'll be elven. She is a half elf. Another time, my party ended up getting cooked into a giant pie. And then. [00:17:39] Speaker D: Did you happen to wander off on your own while this was going on? [00:17:42] Speaker G: How do you think he keeps surviving all these stories? [00:17:44] Speaker B: Sean? I'm stealthing for 17 up north. [00:17:47] Speaker A: You're stealthing for 17? Yes. [00:17:49] Speaker B: All right, while silver is chilling stories, she's just going to. [00:17:53] Speaker D: Actually, Temit's got decent stealth, too. Plus seven. I don't know. [00:17:57] Speaker B: Can you see? [00:17:58] Speaker D: Temit's got to stay right here. [00:18:02] Speaker B: You can follow the sound of her. [00:18:05] Speaker C: If the question was only who has good stealth, I'd already be up there. [00:18:09] Speaker B: Yes. [00:18:09] Speaker A: All right. The corners of this cavern are filled with thick strands of spider webs. In the center of the western wall, a pouch of thick webbing trembles in occasional vibration. A thin stream of minerals drips slowly from the center of the ceiling, slicking the floor here and creating treacherous footing. [00:18:29] Speaker B: Well, before she goes any further, considering they have dealt with grouse things and spider webs before, she's going to come back to the group and tell them. So, to the north, it looks very much like there's a bunch of spider webs and things, so we might want to be cautious moving forward. I would not be surprised if something is living in these caves. God knows I've had to chase out a few things here and there. That said, how many of you are good at throwing? [00:18:57] Speaker C: I mean, I've got a bow. Throwing what? [00:19:00] Speaker D: I can throw back some beers, if that's what you're asking. [00:19:02] Speaker B: No, she pulled out fire bombs. Well, last time we had to deal with a large number of spiders. Yeah, these seemed useful. [00:19:08] Speaker C: That would be gross. Hey, demon. [00:19:10] Speaker A: Remember that? [00:19:11] Speaker D: I do remember that. And that you were no help. [00:19:15] Speaker C: I went and got Surreya last time. That was helpful, I guess. [00:19:18] Speaker B: Should I be the one to throw these or do any of you want. [00:19:20] Speaker G: One time I threw a rock really far. [00:19:22] Speaker E: I can throw a javelin. I guess I can throw a bomb. I mechanically don't know how that works. [00:19:28] Speaker C: Bomb is a special weapon, so it. [00:19:30] Speaker B: Might be this, but just hold on to them. [00:19:31] Speaker G: Yes, I definitely want one. [00:19:33] Speaker C: If we roll, well, it won't matter. But you've listened to this podcast before. [00:19:38] Speaker G: There's no way this can go wrong. [00:19:40] Speaker B: Substantially with my own damn. [00:19:42] Speaker G: Give me the hand grenade. It'll be fine. [00:19:45] Speaker D: I say give it to our friend pond. [00:19:48] Speaker G: I'll just run straight into them and drop it on them. [00:19:51] Speaker C: When you go unconscious, it'll fall and just. [00:19:53] Speaker B: There you go. But then you might get stuck in it as well. That's the other thing. No one else can adjust the splash. [00:19:58] Speaker C: That's true. [00:19:59] Speaker E: You are a bummer. [00:20:01] Speaker D: As Anwar. I'm saying I think it's pointing more and more towards the fact that. No, do not give any of us. Please be the conclusion. [00:20:08] Speaker C: Is there another exit out of that room? [00:20:10] Speaker B: Do I have to make another stealth roll if I go back in? [00:20:12] Speaker E: Or did she already see that previously? [00:20:14] Speaker A: No, you would have been able to. [00:20:15] Speaker B: Okay, I can see the whole room. I'm going to scoot back up that way then, because I can't see it unless I'm in there. Yes, it does go off to the east. It curves. [00:20:26] Speaker D: Okay, I say we enter the next room together. [00:20:28] Speaker C: Yeah, follow where? Sir, I would just say that if it doesn't go anywhere, it looks like a fight we don't need, but if it's got another exit, it might be somewhere we want to go. [00:20:36] Speaker B: Yes, the path does continue, so I'm. [00:20:38] Speaker C: Happy to go up front. I mean, whatever's in there probably doesn't need light. So I think we should just the. [00:20:43] Speaker A: Marching order through a five foot wide cave be. [00:20:47] Speaker G: I go second. [00:20:49] Speaker H: I'm in the back. [00:20:50] Speaker B: I mean, I can go first and have the thing out if you want to go next with Jasper. [00:20:54] Speaker D: If it's only 5ft wide. I don't know. I'm kind of a little bit cautious about having someone that's not a frontliner kind of all the way up front because then it's hard for you to kind of get away. [00:21:05] Speaker E: I'm happy to lead up front, even though with the shield leading out with a light. [00:21:09] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:21:10] Speaker C: So I was looking this week at exploration actions because we've just been kind of very loosely doing this. Yes, but there are rules. [00:21:21] Speaker A: I was also looking at these as. [00:21:23] Speaker C: Well that say if you do this, then when initiative happens you use specifically this skill or you already have your shield up or what have you. Now that I'm not looking at my book, I don't remember what it is, but there is a specific one that is like ready shield or something like that where you can move and if combat happens you automatically have it up. Then there's a void notice which allows you to use stealth for. [00:21:48] Speaker A: So there's avoid notice, defend, detect magic, follow the expert, hustle, investigate, repeat a spell, scout or search. Those are all the exploration actions that I have listed here. [00:22:01] Speaker B: So technically, would I be scouting at the moment? [00:22:03] Speaker A: Correct. [00:22:04] Speaker H: I'll be detecting magic, I suppose. [00:22:06] Speaker A: All right, so you're detecting magic at regular intervals to see if there is any magic around. [00:22:13] Speaker D: Does that chart say what the initiative would be for that? [00:22:16] Speaker C: Everything is perception except for avoid notice. [00:22:19] Speaker A: Avoid notice, yes. [00:22:20] Speaker D: Okay. [00:22:21] Speaker C: The more I looked at it, the more I realized that unless something specifically says you use something else, you use perception. You can't just make up like, I'm crafting arrows as we walk down the hallways. I'm going to use my crafting skill. It doesn't work that way. You still use perception. It doesn't matter what you're doing unless you have an ability or unless it's like a social combat. Like if there's some mechanics for that, then you might use. [00:22:42] Speaker A: So avoid note, avoid notice uses stealth. Defend raises a shield before your first turn begins. Detect magic. You're concentrating and detecting magic at regular intervals. Follow the expert. It's an audible concentration and visual gain. A bonus with a skill from an expert ally. Add your level if untrained and get plus two circumstance bonus, plus three if the ally is a master or plus four if ally is legendary. So that's the old assist skill. Hustle. Move at double speed for up to your con times ten minutes. Then there is investigate, which is concentrating. Use a recall knowledge to discover clues. Repeat a spell, concentrate repeatedly, cast the same spell, or continue activation or sustain a spell. Scout party members get a plus one circumstance bonus on their initiative roles. So you get a plus one if you're scouting ahead, which. [00:23:41] Speaker B: Yeah, that's what she's doing. [00:23:42] Speaker A: And then search. Seek for hidden doors and hazards. So let's go around the table. Twin Talon, what are you doing? [00:23:49] Speaker C: Twin Talon will have his since I assume Brayden is going to be in front. Pond Watcher has declared that he will be second, no matter who is in. [00:23:55] Speaker G: Front because I have reach. [00:23:57] Speaker C: Yeah, don't probably pull his bow out just to be ready with that. And he will try to avoid notice. [00:24:01] Speaker A: Excellent. Temid. [00:24:04] Speaker D: Temid will be searching for any enemies. Searching for hazards. [00:24:08] Speaker A: Yes, enemies are hazards. Brianna. [00:24:11] Speaker E: Brianna will be defending as her shield is up. [00:24:13] Speaker A: Excellent. [00:24:14] Speaker G: Search for hazards. [00:24:16] Speaker A: Excellent. [00:24:17] Speaker B: You're scouting? [00:24:17] Speaker A: Scouting. [00:24:18] Speaker B: Now that it's me and the party. [00:24:20] Speaker A: It says party members get a plus one circumstance bonus. [00:24:23] Speaker B: Yes. [00:24:24] Speaker A: Silver, what are you doing? [00:24:26] Speaker H: I'm going to be detecting magic. [00:24:28] Speaker A: All right, so you're going to be. Yes, detecting magic. [00:24:31] Speaker H: Also been telling them stories about my past. [00:24:35] Speaker A: Every time your party has died? [00:24:37] Speaker H: Yeah. Probably the worst time was when we discovered these. [00:24:41] Speaker A: As you enter the room. As you enter. [00:24:46] Speaker B: I still have the fire bomb in my hand. [00:24:48] Speaker A: That's why, as you enter, you see descending from a ceiling. [00:24:54] Speaker E: Oh, boy. [00:24:54] Speaker A: A spider like creature. Now I'm going to make this creature look really big. We can see it, so you guys can see it. And I'll let you guys react to it as you see it. [00:25:04] Speaker E: And we'll put those on our website. [00:25:07] Speaker C: Website for a spider creature. [00:25:09] Speaker B: Hey. What? [00:25:10] Speaker C: Oh, it looks like a spider. It's still very far away. [00:25:13] Speaker H: Is that actual size? [00:25:15] Speaker B: No, that's just so we can see it. That's like a spider. Grasshopper. Cthulhu esque horror. [00:25:20] Speaker A: Is it wearing a tie? [00:25:21] Speaker C: It looks like it's wearing a tie. [00:25:22] Speaker B: No, I think that's sticking. [00:25:23] Speaker D: That's a tongue. [00:25:24] Speaker G: Business casual. [00:25:27] Speaker C: But it's got legs sticking out. It's like a sprigget yeah. [00:25:30] Speaker B: It's like a spider cricket. [00:25:31] Speaker D: So some of its legs are up in the air for no reason. [00:25:34] Speaker G: Let's leave. [00:25:36] Speaker C: I know. [00:25:36] Speaker B: Alien mouth. Like HR Geiger was definitely involved in this. [00:25:40] Speaker C: Oh, it doesn't look penile enough to be an H. R. Geiger creature. [00:25:43] Speaker H: Oh, it's only 5ft. [00:25:44] Speaker D: Tempet says involved. [00:25:45] Speaker B: He wasn't supervising. [00:25:46] Speaker D: I'm sorry to disturb you. Let's leave. [00:25:48] Speaker B: Everybody. [00:25:50] Speaker G: Enjoy your cave. [00:25:52] Speaker B: Is that where it is? [00:25:53] Speaker D: It's like we have a Jasper for you to sacrifice. [00:25:56] Speaker C: He's on my shoulder holding a torch. [00:25:58] Speaker D: And a twin talon too. [00:26:00] Speaker A: It descends from the ceiling and it is hissing. [00:26:03] Speaker D: It's hissing. [00:26:04] Speaker A: Yes. [00:26:04] Speaker G: In greeting. [00:26:07] Speaker B: He's not happy. Welcome to my cave. Welcome to my. [00:26:14] Speaker A: Let's go ahead and roll initiative. Roll your initiative? [00:26:19] Speaker D: I'm practically the GM guy. [00:26:22] Speaker C: You're only two seats away. [00:26:27] Speaker E: Just let him think whatever you want. [00:26:29] Speaker D: Remember how I said I should stop rolling because. [00:26:32] Speaker A: Shit. [00:26:32] Speaker D: God damn it. [00:26:33] Speaker E: Same twin Talon. [00:26:34] Speaker A: What is your initiative? 24. [00:26:36] Speaker C: No, 25. Because Sareia is scouting. [00:26:39] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:26:39] Speaker A: Don't forget, you all get that plus one. [00:26:41] Speaker B: Plus one. [00:26:41] Speaker E: Oh, okay. [00:26:42] Speaker A: Temid, ten. Is that with the plus one? [00:26:45] Speaker D: That is with the plus one. [00:26:47] Speaker E: Brianna, 13 with a plus one. [00:26:49] Speaker A: Pond watcher, 15. Sareia, 25. [00:26:53] Speaker B: Do you want to go first? [00:26:55] Speaker C: I'm going to see what this thing does first. [00:26:56] Speaker B: Okay. [00:26:56] Speaker H: Silver also 25. I'll go after these two. [00:27:01] Speaker B: Do you want to go first? If you're going to play, yeah, if. [00:27:03] Speaker H: You'Re going to inspire, yeah, I'll play and I'll inspire. [00:27:06] Speaker A: So silver will go first, followed by. [00:27:08] Speaker G: You play a tarantella. [00:27:10] Speaker B: Yes. I see what you did there. [00:27:12] Speaker A: Followed by Sareia or twin. Who wants to go second? [00:27:16] Speaker C: I'll go second. [00:27:17] Speaker B: Okay. [00:27:18] Speaker A: All right then. Sareia. [00:27:20] Speaker B: I'm really liking silver. [00:27:22] Speaker A: You go first. [00:27:24] Speaker H: Silver is going to have his guitar and he's going to inspire courage to everybody. Then I'm going to do some knowledge. Check rooneys on this thing here. [00:27:32] Speaker A: You're going to recall knowledge and see it. You would need to move into the room. [00:27:39] Speaker H: Okay. [00:27:39] Speaker A: Because you are. [00:27:40] Speaker H: I will move up right to the east of Brienna. [00:27:46] Speaker D: Right there. [00:27:47] Speaker C: Attack for opportunity as he runs by. [00:27:49] Speaker H: I can move in a way to avoid it. [00:27:51] Speaker C: You can't. [00:27:52] Speaker H: I can move from whoever below Brianna is diagonally. [00:27:56] Speaker C: There is no space for a person. Yeah, this little corner, it's less than half a square. [00:28:03] Speaker H: Okay, I'll see if it has an attack of opportunity. It's fine. [00:28:06] Speaker A: It doesn't swing at you. [00:28:07] Speaker H: All right. [00:28:09] Speaker C: Those things don't anymore. [00:28:11] Speaker H: It feels like at least the lower levels. So I'll just do recall knowledge. [00:28:16] Speaker A: So how many actions does it take to cast your bonus you're giving everyone? [00:28:22] Speaker H: Let me see. [00:28:23] Speaker C: I think it's just one. [00:28:24] Speaker H: I think it's just one. [00:28:25] Speaker D: Oh, great. [00:28:26] Speaker B: It'll be move, play, recall. [00:28:28] Speaker H: Yeah, that'll be the turn while I'm holding my instrument. [00:28:31] Speaker A: All right, so your recall knowledge is going to be on occultism. [00:28:37] Speaker D: What? [00:28:37] Speaker B: I figured it would be that or arcane. [00:28:40] Speaker H: I'm fine. 27. [00:28:42] Speaker A: Okay, you may ask three questions about this. Trixic. Tog. [00:28:47] Speaker H: Trixitog. [00:28:48] Speaker A: T-I-X-I-T-O-G. [00:28:50] Speaker C: Okay, there's no r in Trixitog. [00:28:53] Speaker A: Tixitog. No, there is no. Sorry. [00:28:55] Speaker D: That was a trixitogy way to say it. [00:28:58] Speaker H: So the tixitog. [00:29:00] Speaker A: Yes. [00:29:02] Speaker H: Okay. Does it have any weaknesses? [00:29:04] Speaker A: It does not. [00:29:07] Speaker H: Special attacks that I would know about. [00:29:09] Speaker A: Swallow whole. [00:29:12] Speaker H: Oh, boy. [00:29:13] Speaker E: Can be fun. [00:29:14] Speaker D: Go on. [00:29:14] Speaker H: I don't think it's going to swallow us more. Question. Is it planar of some kind? [00:29:21] Speaker A: It is an aberration, which makes it come from a different plane. [00:29:28] Speaker H: Okay, I don't like it. [00:29:30] Speaker E: Don't like it. [00:29:32] Speaker H: All right. I can't shout that out. This turn. Is that correct? [00:29:36] Speaker A: No, you can. You can share knowledge quickly. [00:29:38] Speaker H: Well, all right, well, a. I'll look out. That thing's got mighty set of jaws there. [00:29:45] Speaker A: Twin town in Europe. Okay. [00:29:47] Speaker C: Now, knowing nothing more than I did before, he said that. [00:29:50] Speaker B: He said, swallow you, it'll swallow you whole. [00:29:52] Speaker C: He didn't say that, though. [00:29:53] Speaker A: What he said was, somebody said, a jaw, swallow you whole. I cut him off. I'm sorry. [00:30:00] Speaker B: Sean thinks he's the most important person on the podcast. [00:30:03] Speaker C: I got to move it along. All this talking of this. People, hurry up. [00:30:06] Speaker A: I want to kill you guys. [00:30:09] Speaker C: Okay, can I make a. [00:30:12] Speaker D: No. [00:30:13] Speaker C: Okay, great. I was just thinking, does it look hostile? Like it's going to attack us? [00:30:18] Speaker A: It's hissing. What languages do you speak? [00:30:21] Speaker C: Probably not texatog, if that's what its language is. I speak common. [00:30:25] Speaker A: Okay. [00:30:25] Speaker C: Shonti. [00:30:26] Speaker A: Nope. [00:30:27] Speaker C: And infernal. [00:30:29] Speaker A: Ooh, so close. So very close, but no. [00:30:32] Speaker C: Okay. [00:30:32] Speaker B: Draconic. [00:30:33] Speaker H: Abyssal. [00:30:34] Speaker A: Well, hang on. Let me do ask this way. Does anyone here speak Aclo? [00:30:40] Speaker C: I do. [00:30:41] Speaker A: Oh, you do? Well, fine. It's hissing and it's saying, do you have food? [00:30:51] Speaker H: Yeah, I think I'll speak out. And it's. Hold on. All right. I'll say, hold on, y'all. I can understand it. [00:30:59] Speaker B: Is anyone else just envisioning the scene in Harry Potter where he speaks parcel, punk. For the first time. And no one knows what's going on. [00:31:08] Speaker H: All right, so that's exactly what ACLA sounds like. [00:31:11] Speaker A: How did you know? [00:31:12] Speaker H: We got some fresh bodies for you, right outside this cave. Not lying. [00:31:21] Speaker A: And as you say that, you see the pouches that are quivering start to quiver a little bit more. [00:31:30] Speaker D: What did you say? What did you say? Don't do that again. [00:31:34] Speaker A: All right, Sareia, it's your turn. Oh, wait. No. [00:31:37] Speaker C: You only did one action. I did zero. [00:31:39] Speaker A: You did zero actions. All right, sorry. [00:31:41] Speaker D: That counts as one action. [00:31:42] Speaker C: It went back to pond. Or went to silver twin. [00:31:45] Speaker A: What are you doing? Sorry. You hear this weird conversation happening? So the answer to your question is maybe hostile, but it is. [00:31:53] Speaker C: Then I just hold my dick until I find out what's going on. [00:31:56] Speaker A: Okay, so you're going to delay Sareia. [00:31:58] Speaker B: Silver. [00:32:00] Speaker H: It's hungry. He just wants some food. [00:32:03] Speaker B: Jasper. Hyde. [00:32:06] Speaker A: So on its turn, it lands and skitters up towards silver. [00:32:15] Speaker B: You made a friend. [00:32:16] Speaker H: This is two episodes in which I have to talk my way out of the thing. [00:32:20] Speaker A: If you have food, my children and I will leave you alone. [00:32:30] Speaker H: Yeah, all right. Why don't you just follow me and I'll show you where the food is. [00:32:33] Speaker A: You hear that in common. [00:32:35] Speaker B: Oh, it says that in common? [00:32:36] Speaker A: Yes. [00:32:38] Speaker B: All right. What sort of bomb do you prefer? [00:32:44] Speaker D: Are we still in? [00:32:45] Speaker A: We're going to jump out of. [00:32:47] Speaker D: Okay, because I was going to say, like, conversation is not happening. All right. Yeah. So you're asking what type of food? [00:32:53] Speaker B: Trying to nestle himself in between your back and your backpack. [00:32:57] Speaker C: That's fine. [00:32:59] Speaker A: I am Balka. [00:33:04] Speaker D: Well, Balka. [00:33:05] Speaker H: Balka. That's a fine, noble name. Hopefully I pronounced correctly. [00:33:12] Speaker A: B-A-L-K-A. [00:33:13] Speaker C: Okay. [00:33:16] Speaker A: If you have fresh meat, I will leave you alone. [00:33:22] Speaker H: Well, we already got signifiers for those bandits we hit killed, right? [00:33:28] Speaker D: I don't think five gold is worth us having to get into this fight. So even if it's not the case, we can sacrifice one of those bodies. [00:33:35] Speaker H: Yeah, that's all right. It's like freshly killed for you. I'll show you where it is. You can come with us. [00:33:41] Speaker G: That's pretty messed up, man. [00:33:44] Speaker C: Twin Talon is kind of looking between silver and Brienna because he doesn't know. Like, this creature wants to eat people. [00:33:52] Speaker D: That's true. [00:33:52] Speaker C: I'm not sure that we should feed it people. But if it's not evil, if it's. [00:33:57] Speaker B: Just existing, then if it would normally just eat animals. We happen to have fresh meat that happens to be more humanoid. Something's going to eat it anyway or it's going to get buried. [00:34:10] Speaker H: Can I do another recall knowledge to know if it's just inherently evil or anything like that? [00:34:15] Speaker A: Sure. Give me another check on that. [00:34:17] Speaker B: It's occultism. [00:34:18] Speaker A: Occultism now too? [00:34:20] Speaker H: Yeah. [00:34:20] Speaker C: I didn't know if Brienna being a champion detects evil which is why I was. [00:34:25] Speaker A: Oh yeah. [00:34:25] Speaker E: I don't. [00:34:26] Speaker C: Okay. [00:34:26] Speaker E: That's not a thing anymore. [00:34:27] Speaker C: I guess maybe just paladins get it. I don't know. I'm not familiar enough with the champion class. [00:34:32] Speaker B: I got no. [00:34:33] Speaker E: Sorry, you're asking the wrong person. [00:34:34] Speaker H: I didn't do too much better. 15. [00:34:36] Speaker A: You know that this is a neutral evil creature. [00:34:40] Speaker H: Neutral evil? [00:34:44] Speaker D: Tempe is going to ask. I forgot my character's name for a second. Jeremy says so Jeremy says to silver, do you think we can trust it? Do you think it will feed its or satiated or do you think it'll continue to attack people? [00:35:02] Speaker A: Sorry. To answer your question about detecting alignment. It is a spell. It is a level one spell. It is under the divine and occult traditions. It is an uncommon detection divination uncommon. [00:35:15] Speaker B: So not something too many people have access to. [00:35:18] Speaker A: Core rulebook 328 if you would like to look that up. [00:35:21] Speaker H: Okay. [00:35:22] Speaker A: All right. So timid asks the question. [00:35:25] Speaker H: Well, timid my experience when things are hungry and that's satiated I'll keep them for a while. Becomes necessary way. I'm thinking that we got some resources that we could waste expending and getting in some combat here. Take care of what we need to do. And if this becomes a problem later, I mean we know where it is so it's not like. [00:35:45] Speaker D: But how would we know it's a problem when it hurts somebody else? Maybe we take it out now and don't give it the opportunity to hurt someone else. [00:35:54] Speaker A: Well, he's saying it very quietly. [00:35:56] Speaker D: He's saying it very quietly. [00:35:58] Speaker E: Balka, if we didn't come along and you ask about food, how else would you go about feeding you when you're young? [00:36:08] Speaker A: I will eat whatever wanders into my lair. [00:36:15] Speaker E: And how did you come about this lair? [00:36:18] Speaker A: I have been here for some times. The unpleasant spiders in this cave have chased me out to here. [00:36:32] Speaker G: Great. [00:36:33] Speaker D: Well that's spider cricket and then spiders. [00:36:37] Speaker A: There is a strange spider lady. [00:36:41] Speaker H: Well, that's unexpected. [00:36:44] Speaker G: Have you seen like an elf or something? [00:36:47] Speaker C: I love pond watcher. [00:36:49] Speaker B: Not like, not. [00:36:51] Speaker A: There's one right next to you. [00:36:53] Speaker B: Not a different one. [00:36:55] Speaker A: Oh yes. [00:36:57] Speaker E: And she chased you out? [00:37:00] Speaker A: No, she avoided here. Otherwise I would have tried to eat her. Well, honestly, if there were less of you, I would have tried to eat you all as well. [00:37:11] Speaker G: That's not very nice. [00:37:13] Speaker H: But it is honest. [00:37:14] Speaker A: I'm just being honest, which is appreciated. [00:37:18] Speaker D: I'm not even going to roll sense motive on that. She's definitely going to eat it. [00:37:21] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:21] Speaker G: Well, this is awkward, but why don't we just go away now, throw a foot at you or something and call it a day? All right. [00:37:32] Speaker H: What's down this little tunnel behind me? Right here? I can't really see. [00:37:37] Speaker A: That is where the other elf lady is. [00:37:40] Speaker B: So do these paths meet because there's another place down? [00:37:43] Speaker A: I stay here. Once I was chased out by the strange spider lady. [00:37:48] Speaker B: So there's an elf lady and a spider lady, and they're the different people? [00:37:51] Speaker A: Yes. [00:37:51] Speaker H: Are they working in cahoots? [00:37:54] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:37:56] Speaker D: Well, tamed is uncomfortable with the situation. And you can tell that I give. [00:38:02] Speaker A: You all of my treasures if you feed me. [00:38:05] Speaker H: Well, all right. You give me a couple of minutes. [00:38:10] Speaker G: Sold. [00:38:11] Speaker D: Let's have a vote. [00:38:14] Speaker H: I don't got much of a conscience for that or anything. [00:38:16] Speaker C: Let's just. Why don't you stay here? Silver is going to pow wow and then we'll be back. [00:38:21] Speaker D: Yeah, we'll go get the food for you. And. He's bluffing. Or he's not. [00:38:25] Speaker H: Silver is already going to get the food. [00:38:27] Speaker A: All right? [00:38:28] Speaker H: 100%. [00:38:29] Speaker A: You all go back to that room behind you and you decide to have a pow wow. [00:38:35] Speaker D: My vote is to go back in and snuff out that evil before it can hurt anyone else. [00:38:40] Speaker H: Well, if that's your plan, we should give it food and then get it evil down. [00:38:44] Speaker D: Yes, he said it was. [00:38:45] Speaker C: Well, we know that. Silver knows that it's evil. [00:38:48] Speaker B: All right. [00:38:48] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:38:49] Speaker H: Silver hasn't said anything. Share this about it. [00:38:53] Speaker D: Silver, is this thing. Okay? [00:38:55] Speaker A: Soraya also knows. [00:38:56] Speaker H: Okay? [00:38:57] Speaker B: It's not as bad as it could be. It's neutral evil. [00:39:01] Speaker C: That means it does evil to the exclusion of law or anything else. [00:39:05] Speaker B: It's a creature. [00:39:06] Speaker H: Here's my experience. If we feed it, worst case, this thing's get, like, really sluggish. Anytime I've seen a spider eat, they get real sluggish and don't do anything because they can't digest it that quickly. [00:39:18] Speaker B: Well, I think the question is, if she's feeding her children, what's going to happen when they hatch? How many of them are there? Where are they going to go? What are they going to eat? [00:39:26] Speaker D: Right? [00:39:26] Speaker C: I mean, we could head off an infestation of evil creatures now. [00:39:31] Speaker D: I agree. Well, how about we bring it to a vote? [00:39:34] Speaker H: I feel like we should try to get. If we're going to go try to kill this thing, we should still try to get the jump on it by perhaps bringing the food to it, and then while it's down, attacking it. [00:39:45] Speaker E: I think that's dishonorable. [00:39:46] Speaker C: I also think that ship has sailed. We're not going to get the jump on it when it knows we're there. [00:39:51] Speaker H: Well, it's eaten and distracted. [00:39:53] Speaker C: I don't know that it will be. We're strangers in its cave. I don't know that it will even eat until we're gone. [00:39:58] Speaker H: Well, we can ignore it now and take care of the more pressing threat. [00:40:02] Speaker C: Or we wait. Or we ignore it and then it comes up behind us when there's fewer of us. It literally said, I would have killed you if there were fewer of you. [00:40:10] Speaker D: I say we kill it now. Not only is it threat to people in the future, it's an immediate threat to us. [00:40:16] Speaker G: Just like watching us, it's standing at the edge of the fast 5ft away from you. [00:40:22] Speaker H: Well, if we get into combat with this thing now, the likelihood that whoever else is in this cave will be aware of us will almost be guaranteed at that point. [00:40:33] Speaker B: Well, now we also know that there's two extra threats. We know there is Vaza we were looking for and this other spider lady. [00:40:40] Speaker C: And the more I think about it, I know that certain elves can see in the dark. I don't know that it extends to half elves. I could be wrong. I don't think I've ever met a half alpha vet. [00:40:49] Speaker D: Dark vision. [00:40:50] Speaker C: Which means she's either got some magical means of seeing in the dark, or she's just not close enough for us to see her light source. [00:40:56] Speaker B: We don't know how far this place goes yet. [00:40:58] Speaker G: Yeah, also, there was lots of people screaming outside as they were murdered, so she may have heard that already. [00:41:04] Speaker B: Yeah, well, if she is using a light source and she's far enough away that we can't see it, that might not be true. [00:41:09] Speaker D: Either way, my vote is to take out evil. Brianna agrees with me. [00:41:15] Speaker H: Smarter about this than just charging in there if we're going to go kill these things. [00:41:20] Speaker E: Okay, how do you propose we do. [00:41:22] Speaker C: With a five foot wide corridor webbing? [00:41:25] Speaker H: One way in, very flammable. Catches fire like none you ever seen. We can just set that on fire, smoke them out, and then it burns really quickly, so we don't have to worry about it spreading. It's kind of like a flash in a pan so to speak. I don't know the mechanics of how. [00:41:40] Speaker C: We. [00:41:43] Speaker H: Have access to flames, but I'm not sure we have a flame machine. [00:41:47] Speaker A: You have? [00:41:48] Speaker H: Yeah, but if we can catch the spider webs on fire. Spider webs are incredibly flammable, so it would just. [00:41:57] Speaker C: Poof. [00:41:57] Speaker B: I've never tried to burn one. [00:41:59] Speaker C: Well, but it doesn't seem to need spider webs. It descended from the ceiling that was on the ground in the middle of the room. [00:42:05] Speaker H: But its children are. It could have been a webs. [00:42:07] Speaker D: It could have been, like, a little like. [00:42:09] Speaker B: I'm sure it either crawled down or came down on a strand. [00:42:12] Speaker C: Right, but I'm just saying, it's not like it's dancing on the webs to get away from us. It just came right up. [00:42:16] Speaker B: Yes. [00:42:16] Speaker C: So, I mean, I agree that we should destroy the children. [00:42:19] Speaker B: It would take care of the children. [00:42:21] Speaker D: So, pawn watcher, what are your thoughts on this? [00:42:24] Speaker G: Well, normally, I don't really care about feeding dead people the stuff because they're dead. Who cares? But it does seem pretty bad. [00:42:35] Speaker D: I think you're on our side. [00:42:36] Speaker G: I don't really care, to be honest. [00:42:38] Speaker D: That's a vote for us. Yeah. [00:42:40] Speaker H: My more concern is if. Well, I don't. Yeah. [00:42:43] Speaker D: So, silver, don't you want to protect your once in future king? [00:42:46] Speaker H: I mean, he's fine. [00:42:47] Speaker D: In the battle that we. [00:42:49] Speaker B: First time he's ever said that he's. [00:42:51] Speaker H: Going to be fine. I'm more concerned about. [00:42:54] Speaker B: Should I scout to the south first and see what's there before we. [00:42:58] Speaker G: We could just leave, like a sign that says, don't go in this cave. There's a crazy monster. It's going to eat you. [00:43:03] Speaker C: What would you do if you saw that sign? [00:43:07] Speaker G: Well, most people aren't as brave as. [00:43:09] Speaker D: I am, but what about the few. [00:43:11] Speaker H: That are, well, at their own children? [00:43:14] Speaker G: You make a good case, but it seems pretty messed up to just kill some children or whatever. [00:43:19] Speaker H: Now, the thing that I'm more curious, and I wish we could talk to this thing before, is what she was speaking. Is what they speak in the Darklands. Now, why a creature from the Darklands is so close to the surface has got me very curious. [00:43:36] Speaker E: Well, that's what I was trying to do, to try and have understand where she came from as. [00:43:42] Speaker B: So either this spider person she was talking about comes from the Darklands as well. I can't believe Christine only just made that connection. But Christine only just made that connection. [00:43:53] Speaker D: I didn't get. [00:43:54] Speaker H: No, I'm pretty sure it is from. I don't remember what it's called? [00:43:58] Speaker B: But there's meta gaming. I'm assuming it's a drow type thing. Sareia probably has no idea. [00:44:05] Speaker C: I hope there's not a dryder in this one to four level adventure. [00:44:10] Speaker B: Yeah. So either this cave leads down to the Darklands, or they were driven here from the Darklands. [00:44:18] Speaker D: Why are we even discussing parlaying with evil? Let's just get this over with. We know what we're going to do. We're a bunch of heroes for our shell gods. [00:44:26] Speaker B: Do we want to explore to the south first or do we want to get right back into. [00:44:30] Speaker C: I mean, maybe just poke your head in and look, but I think we shouldn't venture that way. I think we should take care of. All right, but muckluck, or whatever her name was. I've already forgotten. [00:44:37] Speaker D: Take care of whatever is going to come up from behind and attack us while we are trying to explore the rest of this cave. Balka is her name. [00:44:45] Speaker A: Yes. [00:44:45] Speaker B: Stealth down to the south again. [00:44:47] Speaker E: Muckluck. [00:44:47] Speaker H: I think Sean has to roll the stealth. [00:44:50] Speaker D: I'll accept her 20. [00:44:51] Speaker A: I'm going to roll this stealth. This is a very. [00:44:57] Speaker D: Roll it over to your next attack. [00:44:59] Speaker C: I think it's just the next thing you roll will be that next attack roll. [00:45:03] Speaker B: I will take my next thing being in that 20. I'm scooting slowly to the south. Kite, you can see where I'm going. [00:45:11] Speaker A: I am. I'm watching. [00:45:12] Speaker B: Oh, do I see that? [00:45:14] Speaker A: You see that? [00:45:15] Speaker D: Oh, great. [00:45:16] Speaker A: And you hear. What are you doing here? [00:45:20] Speaker C: Is it like a man's voice? [00:45:22] Speaker A: No, it is not. [00:45:23] Speaker E: Do we all hear that? [00:45:24] Speaker A: Oh, you hear it booming? [00:45:25] Speaker B: Is it vows? [00:45:26] Speaker A: All right, is it a cave dragon? I'm going to need everyone to roll a new initiative. [00:45:32] Speaker G: Oh, boy. [00:45:33] Speaker B: Do I get that 20. [00:45:34] Speaker A: All right, let's get some initiatives here. [00:45:37] Speaker B: Do I get to roll over that 20? [00:45:39] Speaker D: Why am I so bad at rolling? [00:45:40] Speaker A: Twin Talon? What did you get? [00:45:42] Speaker C: Well, I didn't say I am scouting. Well, that's the question. Are we rolling over the things we were doing before? Because we didn't really talk about it. [00:45:49] Speaker B: Well, I'm just saying, if I'm going ahead again, I'm scouting. [00:45:51] Speaker D: I think we were just having a conversation. So that feels like perception. [00:45:54] Speaker C: Okay, that's fine. So if we are perceiving, then I have a ten with Soraya before I rolled, which is a nine, so 19. [00:46:02] Speaker H: All right, silver, 25 again. [00:46:05] Speaker A: 25. Sareia, what did you get? [00:46:09] Speaker B: 26. [00:46:10] Speaker A: 26. [00:46:10] Speaker G: Pond watcher, 18. [00:46:13] Speaker E: Brianna also 18. [00:46:15] Speaker B: Do you want to go first. [00:46:16] Speaker A: Sure. Temid, you rolled really well. [00:46:18] Speaker D: I heard twelve total. [00:46:21] Speaker A: That's not bad. You rolled a three. [00:46:23] Speaker D: Yeah, but I mean, everyone has like, nearly double digit perceptions nowadays. [00:46:27] Speaker B: I have a five. [00:46:28] Speaker D: Okay? Everyone important has nearly a double. [00:46:31] Speaker A: Ouch. Wow. [00:46:33] Speaker B: Fine. Then I'll let you wander blindly into the encounter. [00:46:36] Speaker D: I don't know why you said that. Twin Talon. That's horrible. [00:46:39] Speaker H: Wait a minute. [00:46:39] Speaker B: Twin Talon said it, not Matt. Twin talent. [00:46:42] Speaker C: I don't know what's going on. [00:46:43] Speaker B: It was addressing Christine. [00:46:44] Speaker C: Yeah, because even with my expert perception, I have a plus seven. [00:46:47] Speaker A: I have a plus seven. [00:46:48] Speaker B: Also, I think we just rolled double digits on the. [00:46:51] Speaker D: Wait, wait. You're supposed to roll high on dice. This changes everything. [00:46:56] Speaker E: We're not playing call of Cthulhu. [00:46:58] Speaker B: Unfortunately, no roll unders here. [00:47:00] Speaker G: I was going to say golf. [00:47:02] Speaker C: We are also not playing golf, which is a great observation. [00:47:05] Speaker D: So we're slowly but surely eliminating every game that we're not playing until we find the game that we are playing. [00:47:11] Speaker A: Archie. Easy. [00:47:12] Speaker E: I was literally about to say that. [00:47:14] Speaker A: Wow. Friends. Are you guys best friends now? Yes. [00:47:17] Speaker C: What if one of you is lactose intolerant? Can you still play parcheesi? [00:47:21] Speaker B: Get out. [00:47:22] Speaker D: You know what? [00:47:25] Speaker B: The more groans you get, the better the pun is. That's just facts. [00:47:29] Speaker D: Wait, so does that mean that I'm the best pun teller in the entire group? [00:47:33] Speaker B: Silver is probably going to go to. [00:47:34] Speaker H: The weird spider things, so you should have them have initiative, too. [00:47:40] Speaker B: Did the spiders hear the boom? [00:47:41] Speaker H: Yeah, I'm assuming they would hear us. [00:47:43] Speaker A: Here comes the boom. [00:47:45] Speaker B: Here comes the boom. [00:47:46] Speaker G: We're right next to the door. [00:47:48] Speaker D: So instead of attacking that thing like Temit said, we're going to now have to fight things on two fronts. [00:47:54] Speaker A: Well, just leave. [00:47:56] Speaker H: We don't have to be in this cave and get attacked pinced like that. [00:47:59] Speaker A: Soraya. Yep. You're going first. [00:48:02] Speaker B: Great. So what do I actually see? [00:48:05] Speaker A: What you see. [00:48:06] Speaker B: All right, so, like, okay, I see skeletons. Is that like a zombie next to it? [00:48:10] Speaker A: No, they're all skeletons. I just had to make two different looking. [00:48:13] Speaker C: Wait, did the skeletons yell? Oi. [00:48:15] Speaker B: Yeah. So I'm like, who did the yelling? [00:48:18] Speaker A: From the angle, you can't see. It's coming from the south. By south southern. Coming from this direction. [00:48:25] Speaker B: Well, there's three of them in a group right here that I can see. [00:48:28] Speaker D: So for us, things are, like, pinging on the map in the pitch black. [00:48:31] Speaker A: Yep. [00:48:32] Speaker B: Which I love. [00:48:32] Speaker D: They're having a conversation about. Yeah, the skeletons. [00:48:35] Speaker B: And so the three that are in, like, a little l shape that I can see that are. I'm going to aim there, though. [00:48:41] Speaker C: I want to change Jasper's name to Aziz. That way I can yell Aziz light when I need my torch. It's a deep fifth element cut. If anybody's out there, it really is that one. [00:48:54] Speaker A: Okay, so. [00:48:58] Speaker B: One of the few phrases that Jasper knows. [00:49:04] Speaker A: All right, serial. [00:49:05] Speaker B: So, yeah, I'm going to aim. [00:49:07] Speaker A: Which one are you aiming for? [00:49:08] Speaker B: I'm aiming for the one that has, like, the sword and shield. Yes. So I can hopefully splash. [00:49:14] Speaker G: If you think about it, somebody just yelled, hey. And then you immediately just went through a grenade at. [00:49:20] Speaker B: Well, I know. I can't see the person who yelled. [00:49:22] Speaker G: Hey, but I can see their main reaction. [00:49:24] Speaker D: So has there been any description for the group as far as what you're going to be trying to kill? [00:49:29] Speaker A: No. Right now. Okay. [00:49:30] Speaker B: I apparently see a whole bunch of skeletons, right? [00:49:34] Speaker D: And they can say, oi, they don't have lips. [00:49:37] Speaker G: How are they going to go, oi, they're magical. [00:49:40] Speaker A: Yeah. How are they up? Let's not have muscles. [00:49:42] Speaker B: They don't have tendons. [00:49:43] Speaker C: All right, let's not rest upon science or logic when dealing with magic. [00:49:48] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:48] Speaker A: All right, go ahead and make your attack roll. [00:49:50] Speaker B: So, yeah, I'm just going to yell back to the group. I see a bunch of skeletons. I don't think they shouted, but 22. [00:49:58] Speaker C: Nice. [00:49:58] Speaker A: That'll hit. [00:50:01] Speaker C: Oh, Brienna, I just remembered, you have your shining oath. [00:50:04] Speaker E: Yes, sir. [00:50:05] Speaker B: Oh, hey. Actually, the moderate alchemist fire gives me a plus one item bonus to attack rolls. So that was actually a 23. [00:50:13] Speaker A: Great crits. [00:50:14] Speaker B: No, two d, eight fire damage. Two persistent fire damage and two fire splash. So eleven fire to, I guess, the one in the center that I was aiming for with two persistent. [00:50:25] Speaker C: And two splash. [00:50:26] Speaker B: And two splash. Can I split that or is that. [00:50:29] Speaker C: I think every creature adjacent to it that you want. [00:50:31] Speaker B: Creature takes damage. So, yes. So eleven plus two persistent for the one in the middle and then two for the two adjacent to it. [00:50:38] Speaker A: All right, so that would be two. [00:50:42] Speaker B: Actions to make and throw the bomb. I'm going to pull out another thing of reagents. I'm not going to make it yet because it'll only last till the end of my turn. But I'm going to get ready so I can just. [00:50:53] Speaker A: All right, silver, you're up next. [00:50:55] Speaker H: All right, I'm going to inspire courage to everybody. First action. Second action. I'm going to go to the mouth of the cave to the north of us where our spider friend was, and I'm going to shout out an aclo to her, so no one can hear this or understand me. And I'm like, all right, so it looks like my friends found the people that kicked you out where you were from. Now, if things get rough down there, I don't want to have to fight you and fight them. But if we get rid of them, what you say you just leave all your nice shiny things you had promised to us and then go back home where you came from. How's that sound? [00:51:36] Speaker A: All right, well, we'll wait for its turn to react to you next. [00:51:39] Speaker D: Well, if you're trying to influence it, that would take a minute, right? That's not a combat, right? [00:51:43] Speaker C: No, he can just ask it a question. Yeah, he can't roll anything. [00:51:46] Speaker A: Yeah. So I'm going to say that takes your next two actions. So next what? [00:51:53] Speaker B: Ask a question. [00:51:55] Speaker C: But he inspire courage and then move. [00:51:58] Speaker G: For the next two turns. [00:52:00] Speaker B: No, wait, what? [00:52:02] Speaker D: That was his last action. [00:52:04] Speaker A: Took me two turns. [00:52:07] Speaker C: Sean was just timing the whole time. She's like, yeah, it's 18 seconds. That's three turns. [00:52:10] Speaker G: All right, Echo is really slow. [00:52:12] Speaker B: Language like whale. [00:52:14] Speaker C: It's that. I think it's with the name. The language of, like, earth creatures, too. [00:52:25] Speaker A: All right, so one of the creatures that no one else sees, except for now Christine steps up. You can guess that's where the voice came from. And I need you to give me a will saving throw. [00:52:45] Speaker B: Okay. 20. [00:52:47] Speaker C: Nice. [00:52:49] Speaker B: 15. [00:52:49] Speaker C: That better be enough. [00:52:50] Speaker A: You feel your body start to stiffen up as if you were unable to move. But then, through pure force of will, you shake it off. One of the creatures you provided splash damage to is now going to step up to the streets and then swing scimitar at you. [00:53:12] Speaker E: Rude. [00:53:13] Speaker H: There's another in our history of Surreya going first, then taking horror amounts of damage. [00:53:18] Speaker C: Well, to be fair, she was supposed to look in a hallway. We didn't realize there could be someone right there. [00:53:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:53:24] Speaker A: 21 versus your ac. It hits take eight damage as the scimitar slashes into you. [00:53:31] Speaker B: Hey. All right. Could be worse. [00:53:33] Speaker A: Could be worse. [00:53:33] Speaker E: She's too far for me to liberate her. [00:53:35] Speaker A: And then second, you'll see her, too. The last action is it's going to. [00:53:39] Speaker C: Claw at you just because most things have that restriction. [00:53:42] Speaker E: Let me check. [00:53:43] Speaker A: Does a 14 hit your ac? It does not. Okay, so the claw misses you. Twin Talon. [00:53:48] Speaker C: Okay, I'm assuming we hear this nonsense. [00:53:51] Speaker B: Yes, and you probably hear her crying out in pain and alarm. [00:53:55] Speaker C: Okay, so twin Talon will yell out Sareia, and then he will, like, Jasper. [00:54:01] Speaker A: Give me a light. [00:54:02] Speaker C: Which doesn't work because one I can't take an action to give him. I think you have to take an action to make him do. [00:54:08] Speaker B: Take an action to give him action. [00:54:09] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:54:09] Speaker C: So either way he's going to run into the darkness. [00:54:13] Speaker A: I'm going to say you still have the torch up from when you went into the spider room. [00:54:16] Speaker C: Okay then if he still has it up, then twin Talon will move. He's got 25ft to move. [00:54:23] Speaker A: Okay, you can move ten more feet. [00:54:26] Speaker C: Is there someone adjacent to her to the south? [00:54:29] Speaker A: No, that is the wall. That is the cave wall. [00:54:32] Speaker C: Who hit her with the scimitar? [00:54:34] Speaker A: The skeleton in front of her currently? [00:54:36] Speaker D: Yeah, the one that's immediately to her. [00:54:38] Speaker C: Right then I'm going to. You said I have ten more feet of movement. [00:54:41] Speaker A: Yes. Well you would be able to get into this? Yeah, you can move to the north of that skeleton right there. [00:54:47] Speaker C: Okay, then I will. [00:54:48] Speaker A: All right. [00:54:49] Speaker C: I'm not a frontline fighter, but I'm sure as hell not going to lead my friends to get murdered by themselves. [00:54:54] Speaker A: Yep. [00:54:54] Speaker C: We're all gonna get murdered together or not at all. That's how it works. [00:54:57] Speaker A: So now this is what you see, crates. [00:55:00] Speaker D: I know what I'm going to do. [00:55:02] Speaker C: That's an elven lady with that could be vase. [00:55:05] Speaker H: I guess maybe he's got like the shaved head. [00:55:08] Speaker C: Mother, this is a top notch twin Talon knows nothing about magic. [00:55:13] Speaker B: Really? [00:55:13] Speaker C: So he will ask scare as he's coming in and he sees her, he'll be like, if I kill her, do you think the skeletons will fall if she made them? [00:55:22] Speaker B: Possibly. Does he also do that? [00:55:26] Speaker C: He's just like, I want to fight the person right here and have my back to a wall. But that wasn't a no. On the bright side, I do have deny advantage. So they're not going to flank me even if I'm in the center of them. [00:55:37] Speaker A: Yes, that is true. [00:55:38] Speaker C: So he will. [00:55:40] Speaker A: Oof. [00:55:40] Speaker C: It's another move to do it. He will step up directly in front of her and he will use quick draw with his free hand. [00:55:49] Speaker A: Okay. [00:55:49] Speaker C: To draw his magic sword. [00:55:51] Speaker A: Sword. [00:55:51] Speaker C: And make an attack. [00:55:52] Speaker A: All right, make that attack with your full bonus. [00:55:55] Speaker C: And I'll yell, I wish you were flat footed. Oh, that's a natural two. [00:56:00] Speaker E: Ouch. [00:56:01] Speaker A: But she's a wizard, right, Harry? [00:56:03] Speaker H: We don't know that. [00:56:04] Speaker C: I mean, she's got a wand. [00:56:06] Speaker A: Yeah, she has a wand out. [00:56:07] Speaker B: She definitely tried to do something to me. [00:56:09] Speaker C: Yeah, it's still a twelve. I don't think it's. [00:56:12] Speaker A: No. That misses all right. [00:56:14] Speaker H: Not a critical miss. [00:56:15] Speaker A: Oh, good call. Twelve. [00:56:17] Speaker C: No, I think it's probably close, but. [00:56:19] Speaker A: No, very close. The skeleton to your south rears back with a claw and attempts to actually, it'll rear back with a sword. Scimitar first. Okay. And come to cut into twin Talon's flesh with a 20 miss. All right. [00:56:38] Speaker C: Wow. [00:56:39] Speaker A: Then a claw with a 15 miss. And then finally the scimitar a third time. Zero. [00:56:47] Speaker C: That is a critical miss. [00:56:49] Speaker A: Oh, this. Well, this has no name. It is. [00:56:52] Speaker D: So it just dies. [00:56:53] Speaker A: It just misses completely. All right. [00:56:57] Speaker C: I'd like to say thank you to that dead person outside who gave me their plus one leather armor. [00:57:01] Speaker A: Right. [00:57:01] Speaker C: Because that's the reason I didn't get hit. [00:57:03] Speaker A: Silver, you hear from the shadows. If you bring me their food, I will not attack. And you hear the skittering of thousands of little spider legs. [00:57:19] Speaker H: Swarms. [00:57:20] Speaker A: Why has it got to be swarms? All right, you got it. [00:57:24] Speaker D: No, next. [00:57:26] Speaker H: I'm not dealing with swarms. Sorry. [00:57:29] Speaker A: Spiders. Why? [00:57:30] Speaker B: So we. Spiders. Why can't it be full of butterflies? Thanks, guys. [00:57:35] Speaker A: You're welcome, Soraya. You see, because you can see. You see that this skeleton to the north here? [00:57:45] Speaker B: The one all the way up to the north? Yep. [00:57:47] Speaker A: Pulls out a bow, loads it and shoots at you. [00:57:51] Speaker C: Is it like a short bow or longbow? [00:57:54] Speaker A: Short bow. [00:57:54] Speaker C: Okay. Then it does not take an action to load the bow. [00:57:57] Speaker A: Does a twelve hit you? [00:57:58] Speaker B: No. [00:57:59] Speaker A: And then last action, it's going to shoot again. Does a six hit you? [00:58:03] Speaker B: What do you think? [00:58:04] Speaker A: Is it a critical miss? [00:58:05] Speaker B: It is. [00:58:06] Speaker A: Well, too bad it doesn't have a name. Pond Watcher. [00:58:09] Speaker D: Why are you even asking, then? [00:58:10] Speaker G: That's me signature Pond watch. Pond Watcher rages. [00:58:16] Speaker D: Not the only one who forgot my name. [00:58:17] Speaker A: Is Pond Watcher drunk? [00:58:18] Speaker G: Not enough. [00:58:19] Speaker B: Pond Watcher's been hanging out with heaven. [00:58:20] Speaker A: All right, are you going north or south? [00:58:22] Speaker G: Frosty flames all over his beautiful skin. And he's going to use a sudden charge to move double his speed, which is 30. [00:58:33] Speaker A: So you're going to move 60. Gotcha. Yeah. [00:58:35] Speaker G: So I'm going to run all the way in screaming. And I'm going to go right above twin Talon. [00:58:43] Speaker A: Okay. So as you move there, the skeleton in front of you reacts and takes a swing with an attack of opportunity. [00:58:53] Speaker G: As I enter his threatened range. [00:58:56] Speaker C: Unless it has changed, or unless he has an ability that is different than normal. [00:58:59] Speaker G: You're so excited to finally get to. [00:59:01] Speaker A: I was. I was excited to use a reaction. [00:59:03] Speaker C: Leaving a threat and square. [00:59:03] Speaker A: So you're fine? You may. [00:59:05] Speaker C: Does he look significantly different than the other ones. [00:59:07] Speaker A: So let me zoom in real quick. [00:59:09] Speaker B: It looks like there's ones that have like tunics and ones that have like weapons. [00:59:13] Speaker C: Right. So for our viewers, there is a cave in a line, like north to south. There is one. Looks like normal skeleton. Two guys with two skeletons with armor and shields and weapons. Like they're much better. [00:59:27] Speaker B: Armored horse, chopper. [00:59:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:59:29] Speaker C: And then in between those two is who I'm assuming is vase. It's an elven wizard. [00:59:33] Speaker A: Yeah. So the ones that have the swords and armor or the sword and shield do look quite different. [00:59:42] Speaker H: Okay. [00:59:42] Speaker A: Than the ones in tunics. They seem a little bit hardier. They do actually have armor and shields, whereas the other ones, they have a scimitar and then their claw and a bow. The other ones look way more. [00:59:57] Speaker D: Got it. [00:59:58] Speaker A: Yeah. All right, so back to pond Watcher. [01:00:00] Speaker G: So he runs through. [01:00:01] Speaker A: Yep. [01:00:02] Speaker G: He has his halberd and it's got frost all over it. And he says to vase in Elvin. [01:00:10] Speaker A: You'Re a betrayer and I'm here to put you down. All right. [01:00:14] Speaker G: And he swings his halbert rate a lot. [01:00:20] Speaker B: Keanu eight is a 16 on the die. [01:00:22] Speaker G: 25. [01:00:23] Speaker A: Nice. That is a hit. [01:00:27] Speaker G: Ten slashing damage and four cold damage. [01:00:30] Speaker A: All right, good job. [01:00:36] Speaker E: Listen, Temit is the GM right now, okay? She's dead. [01:00:39] Speaker C: He's so close to being the GM. [01:00:41] Speaker G: I'm pretty sure the other skeleton exploded because it missed. [01:00:44] Speaker A: All right. And that's it. That's it. All right, reactions, Brienna. [01:00:49] Speaker E: Brianna looks at her sword and it's glowing somehow. [01:00:53] Speaker B: She says, ha ha. [01:00:53] Speaker E: There must be undead over there. [01:00:59] Speaker B: Pretty much. [01:01:00] Speaker E: It is a disrupting scimitar. [01:01:02] Speaker B: So. Yes. [01:01:02] Speaker D: I love it. [01:01:03] Speaker C: That's so good. [01:01:04] Speaker E: I mean, it's my jam, friends. This is my bread and butter. [01:01:08] Speaker A: All right. [01:01:10] Speaker E: Unfortunately I'm kind of slow so I'm going to double move, I suppose, to get in there. [01:01:17] Speaker A: What's your speed? [01:01:18] Speaker E: 20. I think I just get to the door with 20. [01:01:21] Speaker A: You get there with 20. Do you want to do another move? [01:01:25] Speaker B: Yes. [01:01:25] Speaker E: Can I then do a strike after? Because that's one action. Correct. [01:01:30] Speaker A: One action to move, second action to move again. [01:01:32] Speaker E: And if I get to where you just pinged, which is between Pond Watcher. [01:01:36] Speaker C: And Surreya, it's north of Pond Watcher. Well, he pinged all over the place. [01:01:40] Speaker A: Yeah. Yes. [01:01:40] Speaker E: I'm so confused right now. I think I'd like to be between Ponwatch and Sereaya so I can get the one off of Sareia. She notices that I'm so good at english skeleton also has a scimitar and says, you are not worthy of carrying my lady's weapon. [01:01:59] Speaker C: I'd like to point out that Temma just got left in the dark. [01:02:02] Speaker A: No, I stated earlier. [01:02:04] Speaker D: I was about to mention this. I stated earlier that I used light also. [01:02:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:02:07] Speaker H: Okay. [01:02:09] Speaker C: In her zeal to destroy undead, Tempe just gets engulfed by spiders and he's just like, oh, no, he's just like. [01:02:15] Speaker G: Looking into his tanker and he looks. [01:02:16] Speaker C: Up and everyone's gone. [01:02:18] Speaker B: Looks back at his tanker and it's full of spiders. [01:02:21] Speaker D: Well, only one thing to do, chug the spiders. [01:02:24] Speaker B: 22. [01:02:24] Speaker A: 22 will hit. [01:02:26] Speaker G: Nice. [01:02:26] Speaker E: Excellent. And because it is disrupting, I deal an extra one d six of positive damage. [01:02:34] Speaker A: Cool. [01:02:35] Speaker E: That is 8910, 1112 damage. [01:02:41] Speaker A: All right, that cuts into the skeleton, but it is still standing. Awesome. [01:02:45] Speaker E: And I think that's my last action. [01:02:48] Speaker A: Yes. Double. You moved, you moved and now you swung. Yes. Last is this, last is. [01:02:55] Speaker D: Woo. [01:02:55] Speaker A: So another one is going to swing at pond. Yes, it's going to swing at Pond watcher. That's me with the scimitar. Does a 20 hit you? [01:03:06] Speaker G: Yes. [01:03:06] Speaker A: All right, you're going to take seven points of damage as the scimitar slashes at you, then a claw for 14. [01:03:15] Speaker E: No, it doesn't. [01:03:16] Speaker C: I think she's using a reaction on the first attack. [01:03:17] Speaker A: 14 misses. Yes. Are you on the. [01:03:20] Speaker E: Yeah, I was considering raising my shield, but I think I'd rather defend my friend. [01:03:26] Speaker A: So you liberate pond watcher? [01:03:28] Speaker C: Okay. [01:03:28] Speaker E: Yes, I liberate you. [01:03:30] Speaker A: So you may move three squares if you want. If you want. [01:03:33] Speaker C: You don't have to, but you do take five fewer damage than we told you. [01:03:38] Speaker G: Yeah, I'll move up one. [01:03:40] Speaker A: All right. So as you move up one. Oh, that's still threatening. You're good. [01:03:43] Speaker C: Exactly. [01:03:44] Speaker A: All right, then it's going to swing its claw and it misses you with the claw, and then it's going to swing its claw again. It is a two. That's going to critically miss. But it has no name. [01:03:56] Speaker D: So it dies. [01:03:57] Speaker A: Nope. Timid. [01:03:58] Speaker G: Wait, so I only took two damage? [01:03:59] Speaker A: Yes. Temid, you're up. [01:04:01] Speaker D: Temid's up. So he moves into the room immediately behind Sarayam. No, not on top of her. [01:04:11] Speaker B: Koala clings to her. [01:04:13] Speaker D: He's not that drunk. Anyways, he has an idea for later, but for now, he's going to use divine Lance, which only has one spoke, not three Lance. He'll use two actions cast 30ft. He's going to attempt to take out the one that is attacking Surreya. Just to get her out of this difficult situation. And I hate everything. It's a ten total miss. [01:04:44] Speaker A: That Lance goes right through the skeleton. [01:04:48] Speaker D: And into twin Talon. [01:04:49] Speaker A: Twin Talon sees the three headed Lance come behind. He ducks out of the way and vows. Oh wait. Oh no. It was a 20 the whole time. Miss. It ducks out of the way as well. And it hits and dissipates against the back wall. [01:05:02] Speaker C: What is their ac? Is it less than 20? [01:05:05] Speaker D: It was a ten total. [01:05:07] Speaker C: Asking for critical reasons. [01:05:08] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, their ac is. [01:05:11] Speaker D: It's very critical that you get this right. [01:05:13] Speaker A: What did you roll? You rolled the ten? [01:05:14] Speaker D: I rolled nine fewer than its ac. [01:05:18] Speaker H: Ten total. [01:05:19] Speaker A: Yeah. No, it's not a critical. Okay. Yeah. [01:05:21] Speaker D: I'm also going to take this die and throw it over there. And I hate it, but it's so pretty. I actually got it on my honeymoon and I'm going to put my ring back on it. [01:05:30] Speaker H: Natural 16. [01:05:32] Speaker D: You can roll it for the rest of the session. [01:05:35] Speaker A: All right, so the ones that seem a little bit more heavily armored is going to take a step towards Brianna and is going to take its long sword and swing at you. [01:05:49] Speaker B: Okey dokes. [01:05:51] Speaker A: Natural one. Yeah. [01:05:53] Speaker B: Critical match. [01:05:54] Speaker D: And it's got a name. Its name is asshole. [01:05:57] Speaker A: And then it's going to swing the long sword a second time for a 15 miss. And then. Why not? We'll just try one more time. [01:06:06] Speaker E: What could go wrong, right? [01:06:08] Speaker A: Twelve. [01:06:09] Speaker E: Also a miss. [01:06:10] Speaker A: All right. The other. [01:06:12] Speaker G: Sorry, point of order Vase took three more damage from me that I forgot to add. [01:06:17] Speaker A: Just regular. [01:06:18] Speaker E: Nice. [01:06:18] Speaker D: Oh, I think I also did like 15 damage to Vas. [01:06:21] Speaker A: The second, more heavily armored skeleton swings at twin Talon. Cracked Die podcast 29. [01:06:31] Speaker C: That will hit monocrit. [01:06:32] Speaker A: All right, the long sword swings viciously at you. [01:06:37] Speaker E: I'm sorry, I can't liberate you. [01:06:39] Speaker A: This turn and you take six slashing damage. Now it starts to claw at you. Does a 2025 hit you? Yes, the claw. The claw swings in and hits you for ten points of damage. And then it brings its long sword around for one more swing. Does a 14 hit you? [01:07:05] Speaker C: No. [01:07:06] Speaker A: All right, that was the skeleton that was on fire, by the way. [01:07:11] Speaker C: Did he take two points of damage? [01:07:12] Speaker A: I just made him take two points of damage. And that's it for the first attack round. So we're going to go back to Sareia. I'm going to give you a week to think about what you're going to. [01:07:24] Speaker B: No. [01:07:25] Speaker E: No. [01:07:26] Speaker F: Bad. Will our heroes be able to handle this combat?
