[00:00:38] Speaker A: Hello, hello, hello and welcome to the hundred and 18th episode of the Cracked Die podcast. I'm your host and GM, Sean, and well, well, today is St. Patrick's Day, isn't it? I hope everyone's having a great St. Patrick's Day and I hope everybody can tune in and join us this weekend, March 19, for a new episode of Absalom and Order. I'm looking forward to finally getting back into this game and seeing what craziness and terribleness is in store for us. Now. I have some very, very exciting news. The Cracked Die podcast is in the process of hiring a professional editor. Now that is so, so exciting for me because that is going to free Matt, hyah. And myself up to provide you with more content. Are we going to be doing a new show next week? Absolutely not. Are we going to be able to fulfill all of our promises to our patrons now? Absolutely. Are we going to be able to be freed up to create homebrew content for our patrons? Absolutely. It is through our patrons generosity that we are in the position to hire an editor. And that makes me so, so very, very, very excited. Now, if you would like to join these lovely, wonderful people, join [email protected]. crackdypodcast take a look. We have a link in the notes section of the show. Please. Any little bit will help. It will help us be able to pay our editor what they deserve. And they have been very nice and negotiated with us so that we can use them forever, every episode, every month. That is so exciting. This also means that we are going to be able to engage with our patrons way more than we have in the past. So we just want to say thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much to our patrons for getting us to this point. A professional audio editor will make all the sounds coming into your ears sound better. It's still us providing the content so they can only do so much magic. But we are super excited about this. Okay, episode 118. Let's head to the table. Welcome to the 118th episode of the Crack Die podcast. [00:03:32] Speaker B: We're still here, baby. [00:03:34] Speaker C: Good to be here. [00:03:35] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm just terrified cause I'm pretty sure I fought these things in a different ap and these are horrifying. [00:03:39] Speaker E: Oh no. [00:03:40] Speaker C: Oh no. [00:03:41] Speaker A: They're wonderful. They're beautiful. They're beautiful and unique snowflakes. Well, last time you guys dealt with three members of the scarlet triad on the 6th floor of Tacin tower and you came up to the 7th floor and you found these two alchemical golems that twin talon realized are pretty beefy and resistant to a lot of things. And he came in and he smacked one with a hammer and did some damage, and then knife, sword, casted some chilling darkness and critted and really messed up one of the alchemical golems. Messed them up so much, he turned them incorporeal. So just so we know what incorporeal does, an incorporeal creature or object has no physical form. It can pass through solid objects, including walls, when inside an object. An incorporeal creature can't perceive, attack, or interact with anything outside the object, and if it starts its turn in an object, it is slowed. One corporeal creatures can pass through an incorporeal creature, but they can't end their turn in its movement space. An incorporeal creature cannot attempt strength based checks against physical creatures or objects, only other incorporeal ones, unless those objects have the ghosttouch property rune. Likewise, a corporeal creature can't attempt strength based checks against an incorporeal creature or objects. Incorporeal creatures usually have immunity to effects or conditions that require a physical body, like disease, poison, and precision damage. They usually have resistance against all types of damage, except from strikes with the ghost touch property rune, double the resistance against non magicola damage. [00:05:28] Speaker F: Question. [00:05:29] Speaker A: Yes? [00:05:30] Speaker F: You said incorporeal objects can pass through walls, so we're on the 6th floor. Shouldn't he go down? [00:05:37] Speaker B: They can. They don't fall through the planet. [00:05:40] Speaker F: Well, not the planet, but this is walls, floor, same thing. [00:05:43] Speaker D: I think it's more that they can elect to, but they are not compelled to. [00:05:46] Speaker F: Okay, just saying. That's all. [00:05:49] Speaker A: I appreciate it. I appreciate the effort. [00:05:52] Speaker B: So what I would like to suggest, though, is that that Golem is really mad at dark hole and doesn't realize that it's incorporeal. So it charges him, ends up on the outside of the tower, then he becomes corporeal at the end of night sword's turn, and it falls seven stories. [00:06:08] Speaker D: That I'm fine with. [00:06:09] Speaker B: I'm just saying that seems like an appropriate response. [00:06:13] Speaker F: There's only one problem with that, unfortunately. [00:06:15] Speaker B: What's that? [00:06:16] Speaker F: He's incorporeal for six turns. [00:06:18] Speaker B: No, no, no. He's incorporeal till the end of your next turn. He is slowed for six turns. [00:06:22] Speaker A: Oh, so this might be me getting first and second edition Pathfinder confused, as I often do. Are ranged attacks still strength based attacks? [00:06:35] Speaker B: Do you roll and add your strength modifier to the attack? [00:06:39] Speaker A: Uh, do I? You can see their check range dexterity modifier. Range attack uses dexterity. [00:06:48] Speaker B: Yeah. So for whatever reason, you can shoot things, but you can't punch them. I don't understand why they did that. Because by that same logic, twin Talon uses Dex for his attacks with. With melee weapons. So he could become incorporeal. You can't hit him, and he could just murder the shit out of everyone. Like, it's like, I don't think that's how that's supposed to work. [00:07:07] Speaker A: Right. Okay, so let's. Let's rule that we can't do that. So what I will say is this kind of mindless alchemical golem is going to still go through its normal attack stuff. It's just not going to be able to hit anyone because it doesn't know the difference. So you see this golem, the one to the south, the one away from Twintalon. You see him reach into his, like, chest component, pull out a vial, takes a finger. And all of this is, of course, just very cinematic. And from the finger, fills this empty vial. [00:07:48] Speaker B: Hey, soraya, if this wasn't terrifying, you should get one of these. [00:07:51] Speaker D: I can't see it, but I'd very much like to. [00:07:53] Speaker B: It's basically a tap. [00:07:54] Speaker A: You see a thick blue liquid fill this vial, and then it tosses it at knife sort. But again, it's incorporeal, so it passes through the wall and you don't see what happens. [00:08:08] Speaker E: Do we hear anything? [00:08:10] Speaker A: Nope, the wall's too thick. [00:08:12] Speaker E: Okay, that's cool. [00:08:13] Speaker A: All right, so that's its turn. Next up is this person. You see someone throw open the doors behind Twintalen. Opening doors is one action. Then third action would be to draw a crossbow. [00:08:32] Speaker E: Oh, boy. [00:08:33] Speaker B: What's going on out there? [00:08:34] Speaker A: Now, the alchemical golem in front of you. Twintalon. [00:08:39] Speaker B: Uh huh. [00:08:39] Speaker A: You see it open, reach into that little chest container again, and it again rolls, or. Sorry. Well, it does roll. You see it bring the vial up to its finger, and the vial fills up with green, with a green liquid, and it throws the bomb directly at you. Okay, and let's see if I hit. Does a 30 hit you? [00:09:11] Speaker B: It does, unfortunately. [00:09:12] Speaker A: Right. Doesn't splash anyone, but it does deal. 16 points of poison damage to you. [00:09:20] Speaker B: Okay. Is there any save for that or. That's just the attack. And that's it. [00:09:23] Speaker A: That's just the attack. No other effects. [00:09:26] Speaker B: Okay. [00:09:27] Speaker A: That was two actions. And then its third action is it is going to try and take one of the syringe fingers that it has and stab you with it. [00:09:40] Speaker B: Uh huh. Well, on the bright side, it's its second attack for the round. [00:09:44] Speaker A: Does a 29 hit you? [00:09:46] Speaker B: Ugh. Yeah. [00:09:47] Speaker A: Can you roll me a d six? I want you to decide your fate. [00:09:51] Speaker B: One. [00:09:52] Speaker A: One. All right, you take two. D six. Acid damage. [00:09:58] Speaker B: Ow. [00:09:59] Speaker D: Is that an acid flask? [00:10:00] Speaker B: It's a syringe. He said. [00:10:02] Speaker A: Yeah, he stuck a syringe into his shoulder and injected him with this. [00:10:06] Speaker D: Oh, and injected him with acid. [00:10:08] Speaker A: Yeah. So you take eleven points of damage. [00:10:11] Speaker B: Ow. [00:10:11] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, not good. [00:10:13] Speaker B: Twintal's gonna say, hey, not cool, dude. Not cool. [00:10:17] Speaker A: No. Bad golem. So from behind you, twin Talon, through the doors, you see a bald headed lady show up. [00:10:28] Speaker B: They are in front of me. [00:10:30] Speaker A: Yes, I'm sorry, in front of you, you see a bald headed lady show up. She draws her crossbow after moving and loads her crossbow. And then lastly, you see a third bald lady show up. She also has a loaded and drawn crossbow. [00:10:50] Speaker B: Okay. [00:10:51] Speaker A: All right, Saraya, it is now your turn. [00:10:53] Speaker D: All right, I'm gonna have to move up to see anything that's happening. So this gets. Ooh. Okay, all of a sudden, there it all is, 30ft of movement. Perfect. I am going to. Okay, so this one is the incorporeal one. [00:11:10] Speaker A: Yep. [00:11:10] Speaker D: So I could. I think I'm gonna thunderstone. I'm gonna go with a moderate thunder stone, which I'm gonna aim at this guy. [00:11:19] Speaker A: Okay. He is not flat footed to you. [00:11:23] Speaker D: Does a 33 hit him? [00:11:24] Speaker A: A 33 will hit. [00:11:26] Speaker D: Okay, so a thunderstone does two d, four sonic damage and two sonic splash. [00:11:33] Speaker A: Okay. [00:11:34] Speaker D: And everyone within 10ft of the space in which the stone exploded, which, unfortunately, I'm sorry, includes you, twintalon, has to make a DC. What is my class? DC 29, fortitude save. [00:11:48] Speaker A: Okay. [00:11:48] Speaker D: Or be deafened until the end of its next turn. [00:11:52] Speaker A: All right, fortitude save. Start with the golem. And then the other golem, it was the further corner. [00:12:00] Speaker D: So the one that's actually right next to the sneaks, so they also get hit with the splash. [00:12:03] Speaker A: So the DC is 29. So the alchemical golems both save. [00:12:09] Speaker D: Okay. [00:12:09] Speaker A: And one of the Scarlet triad members who comes out does not. And then the other two do. [00:12:17] Speaker B: Is that. Okay, so the one to the south, the southmost Scarlet triad member that came out. [00:12:21] Speaker D: Yeah. The one that's in between the two golems is deafened. [00:12:25] Speaker A: And then five damage to the golem itself. [00:12:30] Speaker D: Five damage to the golem itself and two splash to at least those two scarlet triad sneaks that are close to it. The one that's deafened and the one right above it. [00:12:38] Speaker A: Great. Thank you. [00:12:40] Speaker B: And Twintalon rolled a 34 on his be deafened check, so he's okay. [00:12:44] Speaker A: All right. [00:12:44] Speaker D: I'm glad you are not deafened. [00:12:46] Speaker B: Yeah, me too. [00:12:49] Speaker D: And then I'm gonna. I am gonna ghost charge the southern one for Nat one. But I have a hero point, right? It's the start of a new episode. [00:13:01] Speaker A: Everyone has a hero point. Cause we just started. Yes. You get a hero point. [00:13:05] Speaker D: Nat 20. [00:13:07] Speaker E: Heck yes. [00:13:09] Speaker A: Draw your crit card. [00:13:11] Speaker D: Draw on my crit. Cardinal 26. Bomb or spell. Normal damage in the target is restrained, using your class DC as the DC to escape. [00:13:19] Speaker A: It's called strange God goo, I think. [00:13:22] Speaker B: Strange goo. [00:13:22] Speaker D: Sorry. Strange goo. The D and the O are very similar, and I was very confused about that as well. [00:13:28] Speaker B: Yeah, fonts, they're important, especially because it's. [00:13:31] Speaker D: Fairly small on my screen. I was very confused. Okay. [00:13:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:13:34] Speaker D: So, strange goo. [00:13:35] Speaker A: Strange goo. So, normal damage. [00:13:37] Speaker B: Boo. [00:13:38] Speaker D: It's still too two d. Eight positive damage and two positive splash. Though, as usual, it only harms undead creatures and creatures with negative healing. A primary target that takes damage from the ghost charge becomes unfeebled one until the start of your next turn. And they're designed to explode even on contact with spiritual substance, making them ideal for damaging the incorporeal undead. [00:13:57] Speaker A: How much damage? [00:13:58] Speaker D: I'm rolling it. Ten damage. [00:14:00] Speaker A: That's okay. And somehow this incorporeal creature is now restrained as well. It's. [00:14:06] Speaker D: So what I'm imagining it is, is it's just like, a bunch of specially treated salt that are now just, like, locking it in place because it didn't realize it would get inside of its incorporeal form. [00:14:16] Speaker A: That's true. It doesn't realize it's incorporeal, so it just thinks it's stuck there even though it could move through it? [00:14:22] Speaker D: No, I'm saying the ghost charge itself, because it's designed to hit incorporeal things, is. [00:14:27] Speaker A: Ah. I gotcha. Yeah, I gotcha. And is that your turn? You moved. You through and you threw. Brianna. It is your turn. [00:14:37] Speaker E: Okay. Time to see what the fuss is about. I'm going to come down the stairs. Oh, this is nice. [00:14:46] Speaker B: The one to the north is corporeal, and the one to the south is incorporeal and held in place. [00:14:52] Speaker D: Unenfeebled. [00:14:53] Speaker E: Yeah, I didn't see the one becoming incorporeal. Nobody said anything to me. So she's just gonna move here? Probably get smacked, but that's fine. Don't care and wail on this thing. And I can only do it once. [00:15:06] Speaker B: I don't know that it's invisible. I think it's just like immaterial. Like a ghostly figure. [00:15:10] Speaker A: Yeah, ghostly image. [00:15:12] Speaker E: I don't know what to hit it with. She'll just stand here and look stupid, I guess. I don't know. [00:15:16] Speaker B: Or you can hit it with your shield. I mean, you have two more actions. [00:15:18] Speaker A: Yeah. You have shield bash. [00:15:20] Speaker E: I don't think I have two more. How much did I move? [00:15:23] Speaker A: Remember, you're trying to 25ft faster. [00:15:26] Speaker E: No, I am 5ft faster. [00:15:28] Speaker A: Or 5ft faster. Sorry. [00:15:30] Speaker D: Say 25ft faster is a lot faster. [00:15:33] Speaker B: I think you could have gotten there with one movement if you would have got to behind Twintalon, saw what was going on and then stepped up next to him. [00:15:40] Speaker A: Sure. Yeah. That's only 20ft. [00:15:42] Speaker E: Then I will smack the or attempt to smack the incorporeal one with my shield, I suppose. [00:15:48] Speaker B: I don't think you hit the Incipro one, but you could hit the cup for you. [00:15:51] Speaker E: Okay, I'll do that then. [00:15:53] Speaker B: Unless that's what you said. I'm sorry. [00:15:54] Speaker E: I don't know anymore. I'm just gonna smack something and hope for the best. [00:15:57] Speaker A: Okay. [00:15:57] Speaker D: There's a lot happening in this thing. This map is very crowded. [00:16:01] Speaker E: Yep. How's a 39? [00:16:03] Speaker B: Nice. [00:16:04] Speaker A: A 39 is a. Hang on, hang on. Critical hit. Wally. [00:16:11] Speaker E: What? [00:16:13] Speaker A: Also, don't forget to draw your card, please. [00:16:15] Speaker E: Okay. Still fucking normal damage and stay down. Normal damage. Crit. The target is knocked prone and stunned too. [00:16:24] Speaker D: That's not bad, actually. [00:16:26] Speaker A: Yeah. All right, so knocked, prone and stunned. [00:16:30] Speaker E: Two take ten points of damage. [00:16:33] Speaker A: These guys are really cool and I just wanted to do something with them. That's all I wanted to do. [00:16:38] Speaker B: You hit me twice with them. [00:16:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:16:41] Speaker B: All right. [00:16:43] Speaker A: Oh, no. Sorry, Rihanna, you have one more action. [00:16:46] Speaker E: I guess I'll raise the shield. [00:16:47] Speaker A: Shield has been raisin. Ooh. Now it is your turn. [00:16:52] Speaker C: I feel like I waitin for years. It's alright. Um, I hear all this excitement happening and I'm getting so excited that I rage and I. I don't know how far anything is from me. So I do a sudden charge, which should only take one action, from what I understand, because I have the effect of mighty rage. Is that correct? That's how that works. [00:17:17] Speaker B: So if you want to use sudden charge, you can rage for two actions instead of one, and then you can. [00:17:22] Speaker C: Sudden charge and it will not cost me anything. Or sudden charge is still an action, so it will be still three actions. [00:17:28] Speaker B: So if you just rage with one action, you can do a free rage action that costs you only one action. [00:17:35] Speaker C: Okay. [00:17:35] Speaker B: If you rage with two actions, you can do a free rage action that costs you up to two. So for two actions, you can get the effect of rage and also sudden charge and have one action left over. [00:17:46] Speaker C: I feel like I remember the last time you explained this to me. I'm like, you're gonna have to explain it again. You're like, uh huh, uh huh. Okay, thank you, thank you, thank you. I will do that then. And I will sudden charge into the room. [00:17:58] Speaker A: You have to go up the stairs. Steps first. Yeah, there you go. So you can get between the two of them for 30ft of movement. What is your movement? [00:18:07] Speaker C: I have 25ft, but because I have sudden charge, I can take two movements. [00:18:12] Speaker A: Move x and still strike. [00:18:14] Speaker C: Mm hmm. [00:18:15] Speaker A: So yeah, you can get right in front of Brianna if you wanted to and that's only 30ft. Or you can move down even closer to one of the Scarlet Triad members and that would be 40. [00:18:25] Speaker C: I think getting rid of this golem is probably our biggest concern. Is that correct? [00:18:30] Speaker B: I mean, it's already been beat up a bit, so taking it out would be better than just leaving everybody wounded. [00:18:35] Speaker C: So Hulk smash. [00:18:37] Speaker A: All right, swing away. 28 will hit. [00:18:42] Speaker C: 20 damage. [00:18:43] Speaker A: 20. And that's with your adamantine. That's full damage. All right, it's still there, but it's on its back like a turtle. [00:18:52] Speaker C: And I get one more action. Okay. So I will strike again. [00:18:56] Speaker A: Okay. [00:18:57] Speaker C: 25. [00:18:58] Speaker A: Well hit. [00:18:59] Speaker C: Yay. 21. [00:19:02] Speaker A: All right. And that's the end of the first round. Twin talon. [00:19:07] Speaker B: All right, so in the spirit of murdering this golem faster than it can murder us, twin Talon will try to smash the golem with his light mace. [00:19:15] Speaker A: Would you like to react to murder off of. Boo. [00:19:18] Speaker C: Do you get reactive murder? [00:19:19] Speaker B: In this instance, I do. Yeah. I was gonna do it off of Brianna. I get distracted very easily. [00:19:26] Speaker A: That's okay. Ooh, shiny. And let's not forget that. Ooh, has an aura. Helps people. [00:19:34] Speaker C: It is. Give me a second. [00:19:36] Speaker B: I have here saves versus fear. [00:19:38] Speaker D: Yes, yes. [00:19:39] Speaker A: There you go. Okay. [00:19:40] Speaker B: So with my reactive murder off of Ooh's battleaxe attack, I rolled a natural 20 for a 41. Does that hit? [00:19:48] Speaker A: There are so many words that I want to say to you that none of them are polite. [00:19:54] Speaker B: Uh huh. [00:19:54] Speaker F: Like, good job. Congratulations. Excellent roll. [00:19:58] Speaker B: Thank you, Rob. [00:19:59] Speaker A: Yes. That is a crit. [00:20:01] Speaker B: Alright, I got my teeth. The target must succeed at a DC five flat. Check to cast spells with the verbal component until healed. But more importantly, it's double damage. [00:20:12] Speaker A: Of course, it is. Of course it is. [00:20:15] Speaker B: So. I love that. I love that cascade. Uh, meh. It's meh damage, I guess, partly because it's the smaller die size, but that is 52 damage. [00:20:24] Speaker A: Would you like to describe your kill? [00:20:26] Speaker B: Uh, sure. As the thing lays on the ground, it's moving like a turtle. Twintalon just takes the opportunity to line up a shot on the brain and just uses the mace to shatter the. The enclosure for the brain. And. And as an alchemical goose spills out, sliding the brain across the floor, and it hits against the far wall with a sound. [00:20:44] Speaker D: There's valuable reagents in there. [00:20:47] Speaker B: Okay, so with that, Taysani's gonna come up, see what's going on, see how Brianna's doing. Also twin town or whatever. Eye roll. [00:20:56] Speaker D: Yep. [00:20:56] Speaker B: And she'll move up to be just to the northeast of the scarlet tribe member who's in the door frame. [00:21:03] Speaker A: All right. [00:21:04] Speaker B: And then twintalon will walk up and using his 1st. 1st action to move, second action to attack. [00:21:11] Speaker A: Boo. [00:21:12] Speaker B: 24. This is a miss. [00:21:14] Speaker A: That'll miss. That'll miss. Thank goodness. [00:21:17] Speaker B: Even flat footed. [00:21:18] Speaker A: Oh, hang on. Yes, it will still miss. [00:21:24] Speaker B: I'm going to hang out my hero point for now, and I'm going to attack with my second attack. 32 to hit. [00:21:30] Speaker A: Okay, that'll hit. [00:21:32] Speaker B: Okay. And he's going to put debilitating strike on that one. And I'll do 29 damage to. [00:21:40] Speaker A: Oh. All right, next up is knife sword. [00:21:45] Speaker F: You know, it worked well last time, so who am I to change up? I'm gonna do chilling darkness on the other golem again. [00:21:50] Speaker A: Uh, it is still incap. [00:21:52] Speaker B: Is it until the end of your turn. [00:21:54] Speaker A: Yeah, until the end of your turn. So, okay. [00:21:56] Speaker F: That changes. It would. How would gravity affect it? [00:21:59] Speaker B: I don't think it would. [00:22:00] Speaker F: Sure about that? [00:22:01] Speaker B: I wish it did, but I don't think it would. [00:22:03] Speaker A: Yes. [00:22:04] Speaker B: There's no physical form cast through solid objects inside. An object can't perceive, and comportal creatures have immunity to effects or conditions that require a physical body. So I'm assuming that would. [00:22:14] Speaker F: It can still take force damage, right? [00:22:17] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:22:17] Speaker A: Yes. [00:22:18] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. So, like a magic missile? [00:22:19] Speaker F: Yeah, let's. Let's do. [00:22:21] Speaker B: I mean, it's immune to magic, but. [00:22:22] Speaker F: Yes, let's do a three action level five magic miss. [00:22:26] Speaker A: Okay. [00:22:27] Speaker F: Locking and looting. 29. Eh. [00:22:29] Speaker A: 29 damage. It is now the alchemical golem, who is no longer on the ethereal plur is incorporeal, not ethereal. Incorporeal will pop back into existence into the real world. Look at everything that's going on. Realize it's still a golem and it's going to stab at. Ooh. With a syringe. Does a 37 hit you? [00:23:00] Speaker C: Ooh, yes. [00:23:02] Speaker A: Does it crit you? [00:23:03] Speaker C: It does not. [00:23:04] Speaker A: Oh. All right, roll me a d six, please. A six. Ooh, what does that do? That looks fun. [00:23:13] Speaker D: I feel like it's never good when the GM says that. [00:23:15] Speaker C: Yeah, no, no, no. It's not fun. No, you're not allowed. [00:23:19] Speaker A: Okay. On a six. [00:23:22] Speaker F: Ooh. [00:23:25] Speaker D: It's definitely not good when the GM does that. [00:23:29] Speaker A: Right. All right, I need you. Ooh. To make a fortitude save, which you'll probably succeed and knock out of the park. [00:23:42] Speaker C: 23. [00:23:43] Speaker A: Oh. [00:23:44] Speaker D: Oh, no. [00:23:44] Speaker A: That is a fail. [00:23:46] Speaker E: Oh, boy. [00:23:47] Speaker B: Do you have a pure point? [00:23:48] Speaker C: I think I do. [00:23:50] Speaker A: Yes, you do. You do. You have one. [00:23:52] Speaker C: Do I want to? Yeah, we'll use it now. I don't think we're doing anything else this route. We're not going any further upstairs. Let's go. [00:23:58] Speaker A: All right, reroll that fortitude save. [00:24:00] Speaker C: Oh, man. Please don't be worse. 31. [00:24:03] Speaker E: Nice. [00:24:07] Speaker A: All right, you pass. Okay, so you're going to take two. D six. So you see a yellowish green, viscous y fluid come through the syringe and go into your body. [00:24:23] Speaker C: I got a critical success because I have juggernaut. [00:24:25] Speaker A: God damn it. You're right. So it just injects into you, and you kind of feel like your stomach turns for a second, and then you're fine. Then the golem will reach out its other syringy finger and stab into Brianna. [00:24:45] Speaker E: Rude. [00:24:46] Speaker B: This is my favorite part of the show. [00:24:47] Speaker C: When Brannis is rude? [00:24:48] Speaker B: No, when Shawn uses his negative attack modifiers against the heavily armored tank of the party. [00:24:55] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:24:56] Speaker A: 34. [00:24:57] Speaker E: Wow. Okay, that is my ace. [00:24:59] Speaker B: Yes. [00:25:00] Speaker A: All right, roll d six. [00:25:02] Speaker B: All right, I take it back. I'm not a fan of this. [00:25:04] Speaker E: Good job, Matt. Five. [00:25:06] Speaker A: Five. You see the same color green that you guys found in the vial injects into you, and you take ten points of poison damage. [00:25:16] Speaker E: Fun. Thank you. [00:25:17] Speaker A: And then it's going to try and get ooh. One more time with its last attack. Here we go. Syringe 21. [00:25:33] Speaker C: Fail. [00:25:33] Speaker B: Actually, it doesn't. It doesn't do that. [00:25:35] Speaker A: Why? [00:25:36] Speaker B: Because it slowed one. [00:25:39] Speaker A: It is Matt, you're such a jerk. Matt, take a hero point for. Remember? [00:25:46] Speaker B: Okay. [00:25:47] Speaker A: So mad. All right, that's my turn. All right, next is this Scarlet Triad member. Let's see. I can see. Ooh, so. Ooh, a crossbow bolt comes from out of the doorway. I'm gonna give you a plus one to your AC allies don't provide cover anymore, do they? No. So here comes a crossbow at. Ooh, does a 35 hit it do give me a fortitude save, which I. [00:26:18] Speaker C: Will knock out of the park. [00:26:21] Speaker A: I know you will. [00:26:22] Speaker C: Your words. [00:26:24] Speaker D: We're not kidding, though. [00:26:25] Speaker A: 40 critical success. Yeah, so you just take 19 points as a crossbow bolt lands in your chest. [00:26:32] Speaker D: Just. [00:26:33] Speaker C: No, it's fine. [00:26:33] Speaker D: Whatever. [00:26:34] Speaker A: Yeah, just. And then they're gonna reload and they're gonna shoot at you again. [00:26:39] Speaker B: Does Brianna want to use her reaction? [00:26:41] Speaker E: Sure. [00:26:42] Speaker D: I mean, you're right behind her. [00:26:43] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, she's right in front of you. So you get 13 back. [00:26:47] Speaker C: Okay, thanks. My hero. [00:26:50] Speaker A: You can also take two steps if you would like. [00:26:53] Speaker C: Me take two steps in any direction or. [00:26:55] Speaker A: Yep. [00:26:56] Speaker C: I'm actually gonna stay here. I have a strategy for it. [00:26:59] Speaker A: Okay, well, the second crossbow bolt comes at you, and I roll a three for a 17. A critical fail. Huh? My father. You are dazzled until the end of my next turn. [00:27:14] Speaker C: I am dazzled. [00:27:15] Speaker A: No, I am. Cause I critically fail. Your armor glints ping, and the shine from your codpiece just blinds this scarlet triad member. [00:27:26] Speaker B: That sounds right. [00:27:27] Speaker A: Yep, it's. Ooh, of course it is. So now the deafened scarlet triad member is gonna look around, see what's been going on, aim at twin Talon and shoot their crossbow. At twin Talon. I rolled the natural one. [00:27:43] Speaker B: I'll allow it. [00:27:43] Speaker A: Does a 2020 hit you? [00:27:46] Speaker B: No. [00:27:46] Speaker A: So that is a critical failure on my first attack, which, you know, love it. Love it so much. [00:27:52] Speaker D: I mean, I love it. [00:27:53] Speaker A: Head rush, sickened two. So not only am I deaf, I am also sickened. My inner ear is just messing with me. [00:28:01] Speaker B: Minus two to everything. [00:28:03] Speaker A: Yeah, cool. They're gonna reload and they're gonna take their second shot at twin Talon 17. [00:28:11] Speaker B: That is a critical failure. [00:28:13] Speaker A: Oh my goodness. What is going on? My spleeny bits. You become wounded. One. [00:28:21] Speaker D: So they're deaf. They're sickened. They're wounded. [00:28:24] Speaker A: Oh my goodness. That was the worst act round I've had in a long, long time. So the one directly to your west, the one right in front of you, twin Talon takes the crossbow, puts it right up to your chest and says, dodge this. As they try and shoot you for a 32. [00:28:45] Speaker B: That is a hit. [00:28:46] Speaker A: Can you please give me a fortitude? [00:28:48] Speaker B: Save 25? [00:28:50] Speaker A: 25 is a success, not a critical success. So that means you are. Wait a minute, does that mean you were poisoned? [00:28:59] Speaker B: That means I am not poisoned. [00:29:00] Speaker A: You are not poisoned. Sorry. Yeah, you are good, but you do take 17 points of damage from the crossbow bolt that hit you. She is going to reload and then aim at Saraya and shoot again. Does a 19 hit? [00:29:17] Speaker D: That is a critical failure, my friend. [00:29:19] Speaker A: I'm glad I'm going through all of the things. Weapon problem. If they attack, use a projectile weapon. Something on the weapon malfunctions, requiring you to spend two interact actions to fix. So you just see the bolt fly by you, and then you see the, uh, the wire that the crossbow comes off hit the wall next to you too. [00:29:41] Speaker D: I would say I t and shake my head, just like amateurs. [00:29:44] Speaker A: It is now Saraya's turn. [00:29:46] Speaker D: All right, so tell me before I decide to do this, whether or not it's possible, I just want to run up, dive into the wreckage of that golem, come up with something alchemical, and fling it at the scarlet triad people. [00:30:00] Speaker A: It does not work. [00:30:02] Speaker D: Just wanted to know. [00:30:03] Speaker A: That's fair. [00:30:04] Speaker D: I figured it would be a really cool cinematic moment, but I guess not. [00:30:07] Speaker A: Yeah, no grumpy right now. Kidding. [00:30:10] Speaker D: I can't just skid over there, roll the d six like it wouldn't throw a bomb. This is what I do anyway. No, I'm totally joking. [00:30:16] Speaker A: No, I know, I know. [00:30:18] Speaker D: Now what I am gonna do is I have infinite moderate alchemist fires, so I'm gonna do that. 38, and I'm aiming at the Scarlet triad woman right in front of. Ooh. [00:30:32] Speaker A: Scarlet triad woman in front of. Who has all of the effects on them. [00:30:37] Speaker D: Yeah, that one. [00:30:38] Speaker A: A 38, is a critical success. [00:30:40] Speaker D: Oh, fuck. Yeah. Okay, so it's two d eight fire. Too persistent. Two splash. [00:30:50] Speaker A: And a card. [00:30:51] Speaker D: And a card. So just for the record, it's eleven damage before the card. Let's see what else happens. Number 54, which was submitted by doombeard. Bomb or spell. Oh, dear. Tapping a ley line as you cast your spell, digging deep into the reservoirs of your power, you inadvertently tap into unseen ley line. The burst of magical power bestows back upon you the raw energy you need to cast spells. You regain an equal number of spell levels as the spell that triggered this critical. For example, if you cast a fourth level spell, you can regain up to four levels, or one third and one first, etcetera, as long as it adds up, spell levels not used to restore or spell are lost and you cannot gain more spells, and you have empty spell slots. So would that give me reagents back instead? Or should I just draw a new one? [00:31:34] Speaker A: Nope, nope. That would give you reagents. [00:31:36] Speaker D: Okay, that's a level three alchemist fire. So would that give me back three batches of reagents. [00:31:42] Speaker A: Yep. [00:31:43] Speaker D: Sweet, glorious, glorious day. [00:31:45] Speaker A: And it's double damage. [00:31:47] Speaker D: And it's double damage. So that's 22 fire damage to her. And it splashes. [00:31:51] Speaker A: Okay. On Twintalen, right? [00:31:54] Speaker D: No, to everybody. Basically butt hime. [00:31:56] Speaker A: It's two splash. [00:31:58] Speaker D: Two fire splash. She takes 22 and two. Persistent. [00:32:01] Speaker A: Oh, too persistent too. No big deal. [00:32:04] Speaker C: No. [00:32:04] Speaker A: All right, well, that was your first action. Let's see what happens next. He. [00:32:10] Speaker D: I just want to check something real, real quick. Actually, that was. Sorry, that was two of my actions, because I have to use quick alchemy to make it, and then I can throw it. I can't just draw and throw it. I do have one left. Um, I'm going to reap position. I'm gonna scoot over here by everybody else and still by the downed golem. All right, so I'm right next to Chasani and a little bit north of oub and Brianna. [00:32:34] Speaker A: All right, Briana, it is your turn. [00:32:36] Speaker E: Brianna is gonna look at her shield and smack herself repeatedly with it. [00:32:41] Speaker B: How many actions is that? [00:32:42] Speaker A: Five. [00:32:43] Speaker B: Five. [00:32:44] Speaker A: Wow. [00:32:46] Speaker B: I have five. [00:32:47] Speaker E: Don't worry about it. [00:32:48] Speaker B: That new archetype's doing great. So many actions. [00:32:52] Speaker E: Champion this. Okay, I don't know what you do. I'll go cry. [00:32:58] Speaker A: Bye. [00:32:58] Speaker E: Knife, sword. Hold me. [00:33:00] Speaker D: There's two ladies to beat up. There's two bald ladies to beat up. [00:33:03] Speaker A: And there's a golem you can smash. [00:33:05] Speaker E: Can I smash it? Cool. I'm gonna focus on that then. [00:33:08] Speaker A: All right, Brianna, smash. I was gonna say Hulk has nothing on. [00:33:12] Speaker E: Brianna has a 32. [00:33:14] Speaker A: That's a regular hit. [00:33:16] Speaker E: I don't. Hmm. Is that correct? Oh, yeah, because it's a shield. Duh. For another ten damage. [00:33:22] Speaker C: All right, does that count to melee strike? [00:33:25] Speaker B: Yes, but it's bashing. [00:33:26] Speaker A: Yes. [00:33:27] Speaker C: I have a reaction called topple foe. I can attempt to trip them. [00:33:31] Speaker A: It's already on its back. [00:33:32] Speaker B: Not this one. [00:33:33] Speaker A: No, it is not. No, it is not. I'm sorry. Yeah. You can topple the foe. [00:33:37] Speaker C: I would love to topple the foe. I have to make an athletics check. [00:33:41] Speaker A: Okay. And that's versus. Is there reflex DC? I'm assuming. [00:33:45] Speaker B: Just make the check. We'll find out. [00:33:47] Speaker A: Yeah, make the check. We'll figure it out. [00:33:49] Speaker C: 24. [00:33:50] Speaker A: That would fail if it is reflex DC. Yep, that fails, unfortunately. [00:33:56] Speaker C: Okay, I tried. [00:33:58] Speaker A: That's okay. That's okay. Brianna, you have another action or two, if you'd like. [00:34:03] Speaker E: Brianna noticed something interesting and shiny on her right hand and remembers that she has a cinder claw gone gauntlet. On. And she will punch it. [00:34:11] Speaker B: I forgot about that. [00:34:12] Speaker A: Okay. [00:34:13] Speaker E: Yeah, me too. Ty, look at my sheet. [00:34:15] Speaker B: Nice. [00:34:16] Speaker E: 34. [00:34:18] Speaker A: That is a hit. [00:34:21] Speaker E: It better be of 32 hit earlier. [00:34:23] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a hit. [00:34:24] Speaker B: I thought it was a crit for a second. [00:34:26] Speaker A: I was just doing it. [00:34:27] Speaker B: What effects are on the. [00:34:29] Speaker A: On the golem? Yeah, it is currently slowed. [00:34:34] Speaker B: Huh. [00:34:35] Speaker A: Restrained, flat footed, entangled, and enfeebled. Okay, but that is a hit. [00:34:41] Speaker E: Brianna sounds good for 16 damage. [00:34:45] Speaker B: Nice. [00:34:46] Speaker A: All right. [00:34:47] Speaker B: Yeah, that's way better than the shield. I totally forgot about that. I'm sorry. [00:34:50] Speaker E: It's okay. I completely forgot about it too, until I was frantically looking at what to do. [00:34:54] Speaker A: You have one more action, you could just punch it again. [00:34:57] Speaker E: Yeah, but she'll smile up at it and then raise her shield and bang twice on it to keep its attention. [00:35:04] Speaker A: Okay, so you raise your shield. Ooh. It is your turn. [00:35:09] Speaker C: I'm gonna swing at it. Nothing to do but swing it a bitch. [00:35:13] Speaker A: It being the golem. Okay. [00:35:15] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:35:15] Speaker A: 25 will hit because of all the minuses on there. [00:35:19] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, it's a goal. 15 points of damage. [00:35:22] Speaker A: Would you like to describe your kill? [00:35:24] Speaker D: So. [00:35:25] Speaker A: Ooh. [00:35:26] Speaker C: Finally takes one good swing with her axe right at its glassy head, swinging through the glass like a baseball bat. And it just shatters everywhere. So the body just crumples. The brain just smatters into smithereens against a wall somewhere, I guess. And she turns around to the ladies and snarls. [00:35:46] Speaker E: Sploosh. [00:35:47] Speaker C: I'll get to you later. [00:35:49] Speaker A: You have two more actions. [00:35:52] Speaker B: Yeah. Which ladies are you talking about? There's ladies all over the place. [00:35:56] Speaker C: Well, first she kisses Brianna on the cheek. [00:35:59] Speaker D: What? [00:36:00] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:36:01] Speaker C: Hey, girl. [00:36:02] Speaker E: Oh, wow. [00:36:04] Speaker C: And then she turns around. She snarls at the ladies. She strides. Oh, that's two actions now. And she swings for a second time. [00:36:13] Speaker A: 24 will miss. [00:36:17] Speaker C: Yeah, I thought so. [00:36:18] Speaker A: All right, back to Twintellon. [00:36:21] Speaker B: Okay, so twin Talon, Will, which of the two in front look like they've been hit more? Can I tell? Well, no, the one up straight ahead of me was the one I've been fighting, right? [00:36:31] Speaker A: Yes. That one is the one that has a broken bow at this moment. [00:36:35] Speaker B: Okay, I'm just gonna keep on that one just because I have the debilitating strike. That's it. The ba la ba da ba da, ba da. Yeah. So I've already put the debilitating strike on her, so I'll keep on that. All right, flat footed 25 versus flat footed. Acoustical. [00:36:48] Speaker A: 25 versus flat footed. Ac will miss. Nope, I lied. That will hit. [00:36:56] Speaker E: I was about to say. [00:36:57] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:36:57] Speaker D: Damn. [00:36:59] Speaker A: Sorry. I can't do math. [00:37:01] Speaker E: It's okay. Neither can I. [00:37:02] Speaker A: Math hard. Ha ha. [00:37:04] Speaker E: Math hard. [00:37:05] Speaker A: So many dice. [00:37:06] Speaker B: That's 35 damage. Not 35 dice, but 35 damage. [00:37:10] Speaker E: Gross. [00:37:12] Speaker A: Feels like 35 dice. [00:37:13] Speaker B: Feels that way. She's still up. [00:37:16] Speaker A: Yep. [00:37:17] Speaker B: Nothing to do but roll a 35 to attack. [00:37:20] Speaker A: That's a critical hit. [00:37:21] Speaker B: Okay. [00:37:22] Speaker A: Why? [00:37:24] Speaker B: All right, draw a card. Cracked rib. The target is fatwigd. [00:37:30] Speaker A: Fat twigged. Oh, boy. Okay, double damage. [00:37:34] Speaker B: So plus fatigue. But in addition to the fatigue, they also take 60 damage. That's 60 fun. [00:37:41] Speaker D: Fun. [00:37:42] Speaker C: And they die forever. [00:37:45] Speaker A: Yeah, they do. Matt, would you like to describe your kill? [00:37:49] Speaker B: Sure. Twin Talon. He's used to using a short sword, so he just, like, jams the mace hard into the ribs a couple times until he hears them, like, crack, and they collapse. And he looks at his. His mace, he's like, that's not working great. So then he just concentrates with his third action, and he's gonna turn it back into a short sword. Now that the golems are dealt with. [00:38:07] Speaker A: Okay, knife, sword, it is your turn. [00:38:10] Speaker B: Nope, Taysani's gotta go. [00:38:12] Speaker A: Oh, I'm sorry. I lied. The stupid pterodactyl has to take a turn. [00:38:16] Speaker E: Don't talk about my friend like that. [00:38:19] Speaker A: I'm gonna kill that pterodactyl. [00:38:20] Speaker E: I'm gonna kill you. [00:38:21] Speaker A: I'm going after it now I'm come after you. [00:38:24] Speaker B: All right, so Taysani's gonna go back here and hang out with Brianna. [00:38:29] Speaker A: Okay, now it is knife. Swords. Turn. [00:38:32] Speaker B: All right, there are two more. Scarlet triad ladies. Scarlet Triad. Fisher women. [00:38:37] Speaker F: Oh, I see that. A door. [00:38:39] Speaker B: That is a door. Yes. [00:38:40] Speaker F: Okay, I'm gonna do chilling darkness on her. [00:38:45] Speaker A: No, please. [00:38:46] Speaker F: The one. I'm sorry, the one through the door. [00:38:48] Speaker A: Yes. That's. That's the one that's dazed. Yes. [00:38:52] Speaker F: Oh, gonna use a hero point. [00:38:55] Speaker A: Yeah, you have it. Go ahead. And will hit. [00:39:00] Speaker E: Nice. [00:39:01] Speaker B: Cold damage. [00:39:02] Speaker A: Boom. 1616 points of damage. [00:39:06] Speaker F: It's utterly cold. If they're a celestial, they'd take five D six evil damage as well. But don't tell Brianna. [00:39:12] Speaker B: Hmm. [00:39:13] Speaker A: They're definitely not celestial. You moved and you shot. [00:39:16] Speaker F: Yeah, but the chilling darkness is two actions. [00:39:19] Speaker A: Yeah, that's right, though. Okay, it is now my turn. I am dazzled. Everyone is concealed to me, which is great when you're an archer. So she's going to reload her crossbow, and then you know what? Two, four, six. There's six of you? I'm just going to roll a D 641234. It is Brianna haha. [00:39:46] Speaker E: I don't know how I knew, but I wanted it to be me. [00:39:48] Speaker A: Now I have to make a flat check. [00:39:50] Speaker B: Oh, your check's so flat. [00:39:52] Speaker A: Just to see if I can even hit you. [00:39:54] Speaker F: You know, technically, if she's bedazzled, she should have rolled a d seven for the other person. [00:39:59] Speaker A: All right, that's a 14, so I can make the shot. Come on, make the shot against Brianna. Oh, that's a natural. Oh, bless 21. [00:40:10] Speaker E: You know, that is a critical failure, my friend. [00:40:13] Speaker B: That's my favorite thing right there. [00:40:16] Speaker A: Well, please give me a second to roll. [00:40:20] Speaker B: Did you say employees? Give me a second to roll. [00:40:23] Speaker A: Yep. Until the end of next turn, all range increment penalties are doubled. Misjudged the distance. [00:40:31] Speaker B: Which is nothing. [00:40:33] Speaker A: Yeah, nothing right now. Cause we're inside. So their third action will be to reload their crossbow. All right, the one that is next to. Ooh. Who is deafened. Second one now and still wounded, is going to attempt to or is going to reload the cross. Yeah, reload the crossbow and shoot. Ooh. In the chest. [00:41:04] Speaker C: They just want to see my titties pop. That's what is really happening. They just keep shooting me in the chest, trying to get my titties to pop. [00:41:09] Speaker A: Well, you have a reaction, so you could take your attack of opportunity. [00:41:14] Speaker C: I don't think I can because I had a reaction with Brianna before, and it hasn't gone back to my turn. [00:41:22] Speaker A: Okay. Thank you for being honest. I'm really bad at remembering things. [00:41:27] Speaker E: Shot to the heart and Sean's to blame. [00:41:31] Speaker A: Does a 24 hit you? No. [00:41:35] Speaker B: All right, bad name. [00:41:38] Speaker A: Reload. The crossbow is the last action, Saraya. It is. Oh. They take two points of damage and fail the recovery roll because of the fire that is burning on them. [00:41:50] Speaker B: Good job, foundry keeping Sean honest. [00:41:53] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. Okay, let's. How are they looking? [00:41:57] Speaker B: Bald. [00:41:57] Speaker A: Not too terrible. Their pizza's more or less still in place. [00:42:02] Speaker D: Okay, fine. Then I am going to. I'm going to use double brew and make two dread ampoules. So this way I can just throw them one after another. So these are moderate. Throwing one at her does a. 22 hit with all of her penalties. [00:42:20] Speaker A: Uh, which one is this? [00:42:22] Speaker D: The one right near Twintellen. [00:42:24] Speaker A: And. Ooh, the one near twin Talon. And u g o. [00:42:27] Speaker D: The one with all of the status. [00:42:28] Speaker A: Penalties that will miss. [00:42:30] Speaker D: Damn. Does she get hit with the splash? Yes, it's two mental splash. Okay. And she's gonna throw. The other one is a 33 that. [00:42:39] Speaker A: Will hit regular hit. [00:42:42] Speaker D: Okay. The target is frightened one and takes two. D six. Mental damage. [00:42:47] Speaker A: Frightened one. That's a new one. [00:42:49] Speaker D: Ugh. She takes three. Mental damage. [00:42:51] Speaker A: Takes the damage and is frightened one. And is that your turn? [00:42:57] Speaker D: That is my turn. Cause I made two bombs and then I threw them. [00:43:01] Speaker A: Next up is Brianna. [00:43:03] Speaker E: Since it worked so well last time, Brianna is going to have a little glimmer of what look like Cerenwe's wings on her back as she yet again casts divine tuning fork design. Tuning fork designs of the tuning fork. And once more says mace. Runways light. Be the one to judge your soul. My toenya. How's the 21? [00:43:38] Speaker A: That is a miss. [00:43:42] Speaker E: You know what? I'm my hero. Point. There's no point in hoarding these right now. [00:43:50] Speaker A: Right? [00:43:50] Speaker E: Let's just. Okay, take two. Come on now. Oh, that's worse. [00:43:58] Speaker B: Fuck. [00:43:59] Speaker A: Wow. [00:44:01] Speaker E: That's nat one. [00:44:02] Speaker B: You can't get a critical failure. [00:44:04] Speaker A: Yeah, we always use the better of the two. [00:44:07] Speaker E: All right, so I missed. [00:44:08] Speaker A: You did. [00:44:10] Speaker E: Brianna will grumble and say thanks. Demod. And then. And then move to flank. Can I? Yes, I can flank with ooh and then stabby stab. [00:44:27] Speaker A: Okay, stabby stab away. [00:44:29] Speaker E: Please. Please stop being such a butt. I stab for 30. [00:44:35] Speaker A: Now that they're flat footed. Hang on. Flat footed, infeeble, deaf and bleeding on fire. That is a hit. [00:44:45] Speaker E: Hell yeah. [00:44:46] Speaker B: Does a 25 hit? [00:44:47] Speaker A: A 25 does hit. [00:44:49] Speaker B: Okay, good. [00:44:49] Speaker E: Are you doing reactive ardor? [00:44:51] Speaker B: No, that's your second attack. For the round it would actually be five lower, but it still hits so it doesn't matter. [00:44:55] Speaker E: Oh, whoops. Well, take 19 points of damage. [00:44:58] Speaker A: I will take 19 points of damage. [00:45:01] Speaker E: Better. [00:45:02] Speaker B: I did and now I will do reactive murder. [00:45:04] Speaker A: Yeah. Yes you may. You may. Reactive murder. [00:45:07] Speaker B: I mean, unless they're dead. [00:45:08] Speaker A: That's what I thought for a second. [00:45:09] Speaker D: But I'm assuming they will be soon. [00:45:11] Speaker B: I mean, I'm happy with either if I can't use it because they're murdered already. They've been pre murdered before. I could reactively murder them. [00:45:18] Speaker A: Pre murder can still get you killed. [00:45:19] Speaker B: Yep. That's a 36 to hit. [00:45:21] Speaker A: That's a crit. [00:45:22] Speaker B: Cool. I'm gonna draw this card. Hope it's not the same card I've drawn eight times. The piercing. Infanthenne. Infection. Infection. The target must succeed at a fortitude save or contract. Filth fever. [00:45:34] Speaker E: Filthy fever. [00:45:36] Speaker A: I must succeed at a fortitude save against your class. DC 26 fantasy failure. Okay, so now I have filth fever. [00:45:45] Speaker B: You do? [00:45:46] Speaker A: Love it. Haha. [00:45:48] Speaker B: And you take double damage. So that is 56 damage. [00:45:53] Speaker E: Holy shit. [00:45:54] Speaker B: Are they still alive? [00:45:55] Speaker A: Is that doubled okay. Yes. That is doubled. [00:45:58] Speaker B: That's already doubled. [00:45:58] Speaker A: They're still alive. [00:45:59] Speaker B: Then I will put the precise debilitation on them so my further attacks do extra damage. I don't think they're gonna get back to my turn, but just in case. Ooh. Completely misses them three times. He'll be on there. [00:46:09] Speaker A: Oh, it is now. Now your turn. [00:46:11] Speaker C: I hope he dies. She dies, it dies. Whatever it is. 25 to hit. [00:46:16] Speaker A: That will hit. [00:46:17] Speaker C: All right, the measure. 20 damage. [00:46:20] Speaker A: 20 damage. They're still alive. [00:46:23] Speaker C: Yeesh. Strike again. [00:46:25] Speaker A: Oh. [00:46:26] Speaker C: 22 will miss. That's all right, we're gonna strike. 27 hit. Yup. Baby die for me. [00:46:33] Speaker A: 1818 points of damage will kill them. Yeah. [00:46:39] Speaker C: We did it, guys. [00:46:40] Speaker E: Good job. [00:46:41] Speaker B: Good job everyone. [00:46:44] Speaker A: Okay, there's still one left. Okay, it is now twin Talon's turn. [00:46:52] Speaker B: So twin Talon's going to whistle. Taysani will. So Taysani is going to swoop into the room and kind of land behind the scarlet triad lady and whisper in her ear, you gonna get fucked up. And then twin Talon will step into. [00:47:06] Speaker A: The room that's not appropriate. [00:47:09] Speaker B: And attack her. She's flat footed to me. [00:47:12] Speaker A: Yes, of course she is. Everyone's flat footed to twin Talon. [00:47:16] Speaker B: Pretty much. Also, she's dazzled, so she would be anyway. But it helps to have a pterodactyl of flanking 37 in a row. [00:47:23] Speaker E: Holy shit, dude. [00:47:24] Speaker A: 37 is a critical hit. [00:47:26] Speaker B: Alright. Pinhole double damage crit. The target takes one persistent bleed. Damage that can't be removed until the target is healed. [00:47:34] Speaker C: Yay. [00:47:34] Speaker B: Okay, so we just leave her here? Just close the door and she'll die. [00:47:38] Speaker A: And that can't be removed without. Yeah. Okay. Slowly trickling. [00:47:43] Speaker B: Yep. So they also take 58 damage and I'm gonna put precise debilitation on them. [00:47:50] Speaker A: Of course. Why wouldn't you? [00:47:52] Speaker B: I mean, that's a great question. Why wouldn't I? [00:47:54] Speaker F: Seems logical. [00:47:55] Speaker B: Yeah, right. Reins, repeat. And then he will, for his third action, he will attack the second time. 30 to hit. [00:48:01] Speaker A: That will hit regular. [00:48:02] Speaker C: Great every time. [00:48:05] Speaker B: So that's 32. [00:48:06] Speaker F: Just hoping it gets to my turn. [00:48:08] Speaker B: Okay, I'm done. [00:48:11] Speaker D: Hooray. [00:48:12] Speaker A: Knife sword. It's your turn. [00:48:14] Speaker F: Oh boy. Fireball. [00:48:16] Speaker B: Oh. What? [00:48:17] Speaker F: Yep. [00:48:18] Speaker B: Why my poor pterodactyl. [00:48:19] Speaker F: Wait, I've never cast fireball before. [00:48:22] Speaker B: I don't know what happened. Oh Jesus. [00:48:25] Speaker E: Knife sword's just like. [00:48:26] Speaker D: Let's try this one out. [00:48:28] Speaker A: Oh my God. Goodness. Okay, it is a 20 foot burst. [00:48:33] Speaker E: Oh no. [00:48:34] Speaker F: I can't see in the room. So maybe I'm missing you. [00:48:37] Speaker A: Maybe there's no way for you to miss everyone in that room. [00:48:42] Speaker B: I don't care about me. I care about my pterodactyl. [00:48:45] Speaker A: Oh, boy. [00:48:46] Speaker E: Yep. [00:48:48] Speaker A: So the pterodactyl does get it. Just so she's within 15ft, she's got. [00:48:54] Speaker F: A save reflex save. [00:48:57] Speaker A: Yeah, DC 28 reflex save. [00:48:59] Speaker D: Hey, if she's anything like Jasper, her stats are. Aren't bad. They're pretty good. [00:49:03] Speaker A: All right, let me try my reflex. [00:49:05] Speaker B: And her saves are plus 17 to everything, apparently, according to this. [00:49:09] Speaker A: Cool. [00:49:10] Speaker F: She just said, like, fireball. [00:49:16] Speaker A: What is Dasani? Roll. Let's start there. [00:49:19] Speaker B: Why would we start there? [00:49:20] Speaker D: Well, isn't Dasani. I thought Dasani was getting liberated. [00:49:23] Speaker B: Yeah, 27. [00:49:24] Speaker A: 27. So she's gonna take the full 24 points of damage, minus the 13 from liberation. All right, so let me damage to Sani for 24, and then I'm gonna give her back 13 apologies on Tosani. [00:49:37] Speaker F: I didn't realize she was in there. [00:49:38] Speaker B: Uh huh, uh huh. [00:49:40] Speaker E: Likely story. [00:49:41] Speaker B: Do you fall asleep in between your turns? Is that what happens? [00:49:44] Speaker F: Oh, I don't, but dark sword does. [00:49:46] Speaker B: Okay, that makes sense. [00:49:47] Speaker F: Or knife sword. Excuse me. [00:49:48] Speaker B: He should get checked out for narcolepsy. [00:49:51] Speaker F: He's just tired. Cause you guys have run him through all of his magic. He's, like, ready to fall over. [00:49:56] Speaker A: So if I were to. Oh, I don't know, roll a natural one, I would just double that damage, right? [00:50:03] Speaker B: Correct. [00:50:04] Speaker A: Double damage. Knife, sword, would you like to describe your kill? [00:50:08] Speaker F: So the whole room just bursts into fire, and the bald lady just sort of, like, gets a surprise look on her face as she, like a cartoon, starts turning into ash from her feet up. So the surprise expression on her face is the last thing, and then it just plops the ground as ash. [00:50:24] Speaker E: Nice. [00:50:25] Speaker A: Okay, well, that combat is now over. I had so many fun things that I could have done, and you guys just took all of it away from me. [00:50:37] Speaker D: Uh, you think I'm not gonna be ripping apart those golems for every alchemical thing I could find? [00:50:41] Speaker A: I know, Sean. [00:50:43] Speaker B: If we're good at one thing, it's ruining your fun. [00:50:45] Speaker A: That's true. That is not wrong. All right, well, we're back into exploration mode as everything is dead here. What would you like to do, Saraya? [00:50:55] Speaker D: I'm ripping apart those golems, looking for anything alchemical, magical I can find. [00:50:59] Speaker A: Okay, Brianna, what would you like to do? [00:51:02] Speaker E: How's everybody looking? See? Make sure everybody's okay before I do anything else. [00:51:06] Speaker B: Twintal got poked a couple times, like. [00:51:08] Speaker C: Two thirds of health. [00:51:10] Speaker A: Ooh. Looks the worst. [00:51:11] Speaker D: I'm pretty good. [00:51:13] Speaker C: I got two thirds of my health. I'm pretty good. [00:51:15] Speaker E: Okay, so, twintellen. Ooh. [00:51:17] Speaker F: And I'm looking a little rough, but also very exhausted. [00:51:21] Speaker E: Okay, that is fair. How about Taysani? [00:51:25] Speaker B: Taysani was perfectly healthy before that, so your liberation did a lot of work. It saved over half the damage he was gonna take. We've done it in the past. We've done, like, a healing train. So if you can work on me or if you work on ooh. Either way, I'll take care of Taysani because she doesn't need that much. [00:51:41] Speaker E: Okay, well, dark sword said that he was looking the roughest. [00:51:45] Speaker B: I thought he was just tired. [00:51:46] Speaker F: Yes, it's actually knife sword. I messed up. [00:51:50] Speaker E: My bad. [00:51:51] Speaker F: Maybe that's my new title. [00:51:53] Speaker A: So Brianna is gonna take care of knife sword. Ooh, what are you gonna do? [00:51:58] Speaker C: Pull that other crossbow out of my titty and start examining the bodies. [00:52:04] Speaker A: Okay. [00:52:04] Speaker D: I can kiss it better, sweetheart. [00:52:06] Speaker C: Oh, yes, please. [00:52:08] Speaker A: Twin talon. What are you doing? [00:52:11] Speaker B: Twin talon will be applying burn salve to his pterodactyl. [00:52:15] Speaker D: No. [00:52:16] Speaker A: Okay. It smells like cooked chicken. And knife sword is getting healed, so if. Saraya, if you can give me an alchemy roll. Okay, Brianna, please give me a medicine check. And. Ooh, which one are you looking at? Actually, you could probably look at both of them in this time. Saraya, as you dig around in here. [00:52:36] Speaker D: I got a 32 to my crafting trick. [00:52:39] Speaker A: Okay, so you see that this is set up in a very weird way. There's definitely someone who kind of tinkered around to make this. You see that there are a bunch of empty vials in there, and kind of like that spin in a circle, and above it, there is a nozzle that can inject what looks like pre made alchemy concoctions. And as you trace the lines up, you see that they all go to that little fish bowl that was shattered, and all the liquids are spread out amongst the floor. [00:53:12] Speaker D: She grumbles about wasting components and not recognizing the value in things, but she gathers up the empty vials, because who knows? They might always be useful. [00:53:21] Speaker A: Yeah, sure. Haya, you rolled. What did you roll for your healing? [00:53:25] Speaker E: I rolled a 32, which I believe is a critical success. [00:53:30] Speaker A: Yep. [00:53:30] Speaker E: So knife sword gets 28 points of healing back. [00:53:35] Speaker D: Can I do one more quick thing in my turn? [00:53:37] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:53:38] Speaker D: I have one more batch of reagents left, so I will use that to quick alchemy. A what level is it? Moderate elixir of life to give to. Ooh. [00:53:47] Speaker A: Okay, cool. [00:53:47] Speaker C: All right. [00:53:48] Speaker A: Knife sword is completely healed. Still tired, but completely healed up. Ooh, you fine. I. The following items. Two crossbows that look really well made. Two short swords. Leather armor. Again, portable alchemist labs. Manacles. Good. Marked as the symbol of the scarlet triad. Keys to manacles. Two more doses of attle brain. Two more greater antidotes. Ten bolts each. And 16 more vials of scorpion venom. [00:54:25] Speaker C: Bag, bag, bag, bag, bag, bag, bag, bag, bag, bag, bag. [00:54:28] Speaker A: Gotcha. And then, matt, you rolled to heal to sonny. [00:54:35] Speaker B: I did. I got a 23. I'm just trained my mods of 15, so I basically can't fail unless I roll a one. So I think it's too. Not a professional healer like some people in the group. I don't do this a lot. I think it's two d eight. Is that right? [00:54:47] Speaker A: Yep. For level. Yeah. First level is two d eight, unless you crit, and then it's four. But you didn't. [00:54:53] Speaker B: Eight healing for Taysani. [00:54:55] Speaker A: Eight healing for Tasani. [00:54:57] Speaker B: I'd also like to point out, just for the record, that Brianna did 28 healing to knife sword and topped him off. I don't think he was the most hurt person here. [00:55:08] Speaker E: I did not. [00:55:09] Speaker F: I'm a sorcerer. I don't have that many hit points. [00:55:12] Speaker A: By volume. I mean, I don't know. [00:55:15] Speaker B: Well, is it metric or is it imperial? That's the question. If we're talking about volume, that's the big question. [00:55:20] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. [00:55:21] Speaker E: I asked who was the most hurt. I got an answer, so that's what I went off of. [00:55:25] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. I don't think anyone's actually upset at you. It's just funny. [00:55:28] Speaker B: Yeah, no, absolutely. But I think Shawn backed up that answer. He's like, yeah, nice words. Must hurt. [00:55:33] Speaker A: Oh, Shawn, if only there was a recorded medium that we could go back and listen. Yeah, who's to say? [00:55:39] Speaker D: Well, so, yeah, Surya goes over to. Ooh, this, like, here, this should help it, uh. It should make you feel better. [00:55:46] Speaker A: This buds for you. So 33 points of healing doesn't quite top oo off, but definitely helps her out. You guys have. That took about ten minutes. There's two rooms you haven't even opened the doors in. There's another body that you can explore. There's these work tables that you can all look at. That twin Talon is near. [00:56:09] Speaker B: I don't feel comfortable with you. The way you say explore that body. They're dead, Sean. Leave them be. All right. [00:56:15] Speaker A: Okay. [00:56:16] Speaker B: Their body's not a wonderland, no matter how much of that music you listen to. [00:56:19] Speaker A: I mean, John Mayer said it was. And with that, we're gonna end today's episode. [00:56:26] Speaker D: Oh, Jesus. On a John Mayer note. [00:56:32] Speaker B: Thank you.
