[00:00:38] Speaker A: Welcome to the hundred and 17th episode of the Cracked Die podcast. Hooray. [00:00:45] Speaker B: Yay. [00:00:47] Speaker C: It's actually 114. Just saying. [00:00:50] Speaker D: No, what episode is this for you, Rob? [00:00:53] Speaker C: 114? [00:00:54] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:00:54] Speaker D: What episode is this for me? I don't know either. What is it like to 20? [00:00:59] Speaker C: Oh, you mean me personally? I don't know. [00:01:01] Speaker D: 23? Is it 24? I feel like I've been here for so long now. I feel so. I feel so, like, honored. [00:01:10] Speaker E: As well you should. [00:01:12] Speaker A: I mean, as you should. Yeah. [00:01:14] Speaker D: Well, thanks, guys. [00:01:15] Speaker F: I mean, I'm having a great time with you and with. Ooh. [00:01:18] Speaker B: So, yes, absolutely. [00:01:22] Speaker A: I'd say the honor is all ours. [00:01:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:01:26] Speaker D: Thanks, guys. [00:01:26] Speaker E: I like how you didn't say it. You said you would say it, which is a distinction. I would say, this is fun, but I won't. Why did you not say that? [00:01:45] Speaker A: So we were off mic here talking about candy for a second, and I. I have a big candy problem right now. [00:01:55] Speaker B: Okay. [00:01:55] Speaker A: And my problem is I want jelly bellies because I love jelly belly jelly beans. [00:02:01] Speaker E: Okay. [00:02:02] Speaker A: But I want to go and pick my jelly belly flavors. Like, they used to have candy shops where you could just, like, walk in and be like, oh, I want a little bit of this very cherry. I want a little bit of the pina colada. And then you could just mix into a bag, and they charge you by the weight of the bag. I cannot find a candy store that does that anymore. [00:02:26] Speaker E: Probably because of the plague. [00:02:28] Speaker A: I understand that. I'm not saying this is a realistic concern and problem that I have. I'm just saying this is a problem that I have now, I could go onto the jelly belly website. [00:02:41] Speaker F: I was gonna say, have you? [00:02:42] Speaker A: Not that I'm looking at it currently online shopping. [00:02:45] Speaker B: He's totally looking at, uh. [00:02:47] Speaker A: And I can only. But the problem is, I can only get one pound bags or ten pound bags. [00:02:53] Speaker E: Right. [00:02:54] Speaker D: There is not a problem here. [00:02:56] Speaker E: Yeah. And what do you want them to do? Put eight jelly beans in a bag for you? No, but, like, the thing is, you buy a pound and no kids have sneezed into their hand and then fondled all of your jelly beans. That's the trade off. So you lose the snot, but you gotta buy a pound at a time. It's really up to you. [00:03:12] Speaker D: We go with just a pound. We go with ten pounds. Obviously, we're not. We're not playing around here. This is big stuff. [00:03:18] Speaker A: No, no. But I could get different flavors in one pounds to get it all together. [00:03:24] Speaker F: Oh, I see. [00:03:25] Speaker D: See, this is working out really well. So what's the issue. [00:03:28] Speaker A: The issue is they're $10 a pound. [00:03:31] Speaker D: Oh. [00:03:32] Speaker B: Oh, jeez. [00:03:33] Speaker A: And with the number of flavors that I want. [00:03:36] Speaker F: Do not spend over $100 in jelly beans. [00:03:41] Speaker E: She just gave you authorization to spend exactly $100 in jelly beans. [00:03:45] Speaker C: It was a dark time. It was the 15,000th year of the plague, and all pick and mix had been banned from the land. [00:03:55] Speaker D: If you would like to donate to Sean's jelly belly bag, donate. [00:04:02] Speaker F: We'll have an Amazon wishlist coming up with all the flavors that he likes. Link will be in the episode description. [00:04:09] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. [00:04:12] Speaker E: My favorite was always toasted marshmallow. [00:04:14] Speaker A: Toasted marshmallow is great, but for a while, they were putting out, like, little cards where it was, like, take one buttered popcorn and one cinnamon to make a different flavor. Oh, yeah, I remember those were always really good. That was always really good. That's my big problem right now. [00:04:30] Speaker E: Wow. What a charmed life you live. That that is your big problem. [00:04:35] Speaker C: I guess I'm weird. I mean, I only like these spiced jelly beans. [00:04:39] Speaker E: What? What do you mean? [00:04:40] Speaker A: I. [00:04:40] Speaker C: The ones that don't have the fruit flavors, the ones that are like anise and, you know, things like that. [00:04:45] Speaker A: Oh, anise is terrible in general. [00:04:47] Speaker E: I'm not. I'm not a fan of black licorice, except in pizzelles, for whatever reason. [00:04:53] Speaker A: Matt, they have a. They have a two pack of the buttered popcorn. Oh, no. You like the toasted marshmallow? Sorry. Sorry. [00:04:59] Speaker E: Yep. Cool story, bro. [00:05:03] Speaker A: Well, speaking of toasted marshmallows, you guys are in a fight with. With some scarlet triad members, and. Ooh. Just lopped the head off of one. [00:05:16] Speaker D: That's right. [00:05:17] Speaker E: Well, I mean, that happened at the beginning of the fight, and then a whole round of combat happened. [00:05:21] Speaker F: Yeah, pretty much. [00:05:21] Speaker A: Right, right. And we ended at the top of the second round with Saraya going about to start her turn. Also, everyone who used their hero Point has a new hero point and also has a new hero point card. [00:05:38] Speaker B: Hooray. [00:05:39] Speaker A: So I just. [00:05:40] Speaker E: I just want my dice to roll, not ones and twos. That's all I want. [00:05:45] Speaker F: That's. That's a fair want. [00:05:47] Speaker A: Here come the threes and fours. [00:05:49] Speaker F: Aw. [00:05:51] Speaker E: How many episodes? [00:05:54] Speaker F: Hey, do we remember that time Rich couldn't hit score a hit for, like, 15 episodes in a row? [00:05:59] Speaker E: Oh, yeah. [00:06:01] Speaker F: All right, peep on watching the good old days. [00:06:04] Speaker A: Well, he's still alive. [00:06:06] Speaker F: Well, that's true. We just don't know what he's up to. [00:06:08] Speaker A: So. So is rich. Rich is also still alive. [00:06:10] Speaker F: Yes. Rich is still alive. [00:06:12] Speaker B: Bottom line, we miss you, Rich. That's all. [00:06:14] Speaker A: We do miss you. [00:06:15] Speaker F: Do miss you. Okay, I'm going to step into the room for my first action so I can see what the hell is going on here. Okay, so is there only one left? [00:06:27] Speaker A: No, there's two. There's the one that sandwiched between Brianna and. Ooh. [00:06:33] Speaker F: Oh, and then there's the one that's all the way up here. This guy. [00:06:36] Speaker A: Yes. And they are. I'm gonna let you know that they are 15ft off the ground on the steps. [00:06:41] Speaker F: Okay, so that was 510 15 2025. 35. I don't know if it made it into the recording, but I. In the move, I lost my little thing that kept track of all what I had. So I'm going on the assumption that I only have my perpetual infusions at this point. So I'm gonna make and chuck a lesser alchemist fire. I'm going to miss with the 23, I assume. [00:07:10] Speaker A: Yes, you will miss. [00:07:11] Speaker F: Does she still get hit with the splash? [00:07:14] Speaker A: Yes, because you can control the splash. [00:07:16] Speaker F: Okay, so it's. [00:07:18] Speaker D: You know what? [00:07:18] Speaker F: I actually have two hero points. I'm gonna spend one and try and reroll that. Okay, that was like a four on the die. [00:07:25] Speaker E: You have two. [00:07:26] Speaker F: I did. And now I only have one. [00:07:29] Speaker A: Oh, just 26 now that it also missed. [00:07:33] Speaker F: 26 misses. [00:07:35] Speaker A: Yes. [00:07:36] Speaker B: Okay, fine. [00:07:37] Speaker F: Well, she still takes the two splash. [00:07:39] Speaker A: Okay. All right. And that's your turn. Is that your turn? [00:07:42] Speaker F: You moved, made bum through Rome. [00:07:45] Speaker A: All right. Ooh. It is your turn. You are prone and you are flat footed. [00:07:50] Speaker D: All right, well, we gon kip up because that's what we do. [00:07:55] Speaker A: And kip up does not. [00:07:57] Speaker D: It's a free. [00:08:00] Speaker E: It does not provoke attacks of opportunity. [00:08:02] Speaker A: That is correct. [00:08:03] Speaker D: So I am going to move to this one that is on the. In the chairs amidst the difficult terrain. How do I determine my speed up difficult terrain? And I'm not sure because I think I can move past that easily. [00:08:23] Speaker A: Well, hold on a second. [00:08:25] Speaker D: Yes. [00:08:25] Speaker A: When you kip up, you do trigger an attack of opportunity. [00:08:33] Speaker E: Um, what? [00:08:34] Speaker A: Here comes. [00:08:34] Speaker E: Why I. [00:08:35] Speaker D: This movement does not trigger reactions. [00:08:37] Speaker E: That's literally what the feat says. [00:08:39] Speaker D: Yes. [00:08:39] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:08:40] Speaker E: Remember when I said that, like, 3 seconds ago? [00:08:43] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:08:46] Speaker E: Cool. [00:08:46] Speaker A: Each square is 10ft if you would like to move. But do you have. I don't think you have anything that negates. No, you do not have anything that negates difficult terrain. [00:09:01] Speaker D: Okay, well, then even if I move the 20ft to get up to her, I would still. I would still be within fighting range. So I'm go ahead and scream at her really loud and swing with my battle axe. [00:09:19] Speaker A: All right. [00:09:20] Speaker D: For 33, that will hit. And let's do some dimash. 15 Dimash. [00:09:27] Speaker A: Damn. All right. [00:09:29] Speaker D: And I would like to swing again because that's who I am. [00:09:33] Speaker A: Oh. 1818 is a regular miss. All right, well, okay, well, it is her turn. Is there a penalty to shooting point blank? [00:09:47] Speaker E: Just that it provokes attacks of opportunity if people haven't, which I do. [00:09:50] Speaker A: Yeah, I know. All right, here's what's gonna happen. I'm going to. I'm gonna move. Which still provokes ten, right? Yes, it does. So, ooh. Go ahead and make an attack. 22 will miss. So this Scarlet triad member moves away, takes aim at. At. Ooh. With the crossbow. They drew last round and loaded last round and will shoot at. Ooh. [00:10:24] Speaker D: Reaction called no escape, it says, and it reads, you keep pace with a retreating foe, stride up to your speed, following the phone, keeping it within reach throughout its movement until it stops moving. Until you move your full speed. You can use no escape to burrow, climb, fly, or swim. [00:10:39] Speaker A: So you can only use one reaction at a time. So the. The attack is also a react. The attack of opportunity is also a reaction. Okay, so if you would like to not do that, I guess we could let you move instead. [00:10:55] Speaker D: Yes. [00:10:55] Speaker A: Okay, so you can move up to where they are, and now they're still gonna shoot at you. Oh, no. Natural 20. That is a. Oh, does it? Does a 39 hit you? [00:11:12] Speaker D: Yes. And my ac 28 will be a critical, right? [00:11:16] Speaker A: Yes. So it is indeed a critical. Wait. Damn it. [00:11:20] Speaker D: I'm not worried. [00:11:21] Speaker A: So first thing I need you to do. [00:11:24] Speaker B: Crappy part is, like, you just out of reach for me. [00:11:27] Speaker A: Can you make a fortitude save, please? [00:11:30] Speaker D: Why? [00:11:31] Speaker A: Yes. [00:11:32] Speaker D: 30. [00:11:32] Speaker A: Yeah, you pass. [00:11:33] Speaker F: Ha ha. [00:11:34] Speaker A: So you're gonna take 28 points of damage. [00:11:41] Speaker D: And she, like, shoots into my chest. [00:11:43] Speaker A: Yeah, you bitch. [00:11:46] Speaker B: Damn it. [00:11:48] Speaker A: So she moved, she shot, and now she has to reload. That's her turn. Twin talon, it is your turn. [00:11:56] Speaker E: Okay, so Twintalon is going to move up to the lady with the club. [00:12:05] Speaker A: Okay. [00:12:06] Speaker E: And attack her versus her flat footed ac. [00:12:10] Speaker A: Okay, let's see. Let's see what you get. [00:12:14] Speaker E: 32. [00:12:15] Speaker A: 32 will hit. That was an eleven on the die. [00:12:18] Speaker B: Goodness. [00:12:19] Speaker A: That is a hit, though. [00:12:21] Speaker E: Oh, think that's with snack. [00:12:23] Speaker A: So many dice. You did two d six plus ten, and then three d six plus one. [00:12:27] Speaker E: That's what sneak two. So that's 30 damage. And then I'm gonna put precise debilitation on her. So that my future attacks do an extra two d six. [00:12:38] Speaker A: Okay. [00:12:39] Speaker E: And I'm gonna attack again if you must. 35. [00:12:44] Speaker A: That will hit. [00:12:45] Speaker E: Okay, so her AC, even flat footed, is higher than 25. Good to know. [00:12:51] Speaker A: Yes. Yes, it is. [00:12:53] Speaker E: So that is 32 damage with the precise debilitation. [00:12:57] Speaker F: Damn. [00:12:58] Speaker B: Heck yeah. [00:12:59] Speaker A: It's called debilitating strike, right? [00:13:02] Speaker E: Yes. I mean, debilitating strike is just like the ability for me to put debilitations on people. [00:13:07] Speaker A: Cool, cool. All right. How much damage did you do? [00:13:11] Speaker E: 62. Altogether I did 30 and then 32. [00:13:14] Speaker A: Oh, 32 is the second set. Okay, that's still like. That's a lot. Yeah, that's a lot of damage. [00:13:26] Speaker F: Nobody can dismember like twin talon. Unless it's Briana with a credit card. [00:13:30] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:13:34] Speaker E: Well, it's your turn soon. Is she still up? [00:13:38] Speaker A: Yes. [00:13:39] Speaker E: Okay, then Taysani is going to take a little hop diagonally from here to here. So now she is flanking with Briena. [00:13:47] Speaker B: Nice. [00:13:50] Speaker A: I don't like that. Could you not do that? [00:13:52] Speaker E: No, I think that's it. I mean, I can ask Taysani to do things, but she is her own pterodactyl. Okay, well, hashtag her own pterodactyl. [00:14:04] Speaker A: It is this club wielding lady's turn, and she is going to swing out at. She's gonna use a one action ability called Puma pummeling fury. Make a great club's frequency once per turn. [00:14:25] Speaker E: Yeah, so that's prone. That's what you said last time. That's what I say. [00:14:28] Speaker A: Oh no, I was getting their batter, the fallen, with their pummeling fury mixed up. Okay, yeah, so I will pummel away. So melee with a. With a great club. 28 total against two against twin Talon. [00:14:49] Speaker E: 20 will not hit. I'm sorry, 20. I don't know why. Oh yeah, I'm sorry. 28 will hit. [00:14:55] Speaker A: Okay, that is a hit. Would anyone like to liberate twin Talon? [00:14:58] Speaker B: Yes. [00:15:01] Speaker A: Okay, so that's. So let me roll the damage, which is twelve points of damage, which is exactly how much you liberate for. But before you get. Before you get to move, I get to make my kick attack at the same time because they. Yeah, they add together for the. [00:15:25] Speaker E: She liberates for. For 13 nano. [00:15:28] Speaker A: Oh shoot. Does a 19 hit you? [00:15:31] Speaker E: It does not. It's not a critic though, so. [00:15:34] Speaker A: Oh, thank goodness. Okay, so I deal. Twelve damage to you. Brianna liberates you for 13 points. And you may take two steps if you'd like. [00:15:47] Speaker E: Two steps? Give me two steps, mister. Sure. Twin Talon will shuffle a little bit old to the west. There. So now he is to the north, Brianna's to the east, and Taysani is to the west of this unfortunate lady. [00:16:03] Speaker A: This unfortunate lady is now going to target Brianna. [00:16:08] Speaker B: Sup? [00:16:09] Speaker A: Curse it. Go. Why would you do such a thing? And swing her great club at you at a minus ten. [00:16:17] Speaker E: A bit more. [00:16:19] Speaker A: What? [00:16:20] Speaker E: So do you want a crit fail? [00:16:22] Speaker A: Is that what's happening? No, I'm just doing their. What their tactics say in the book. Okay. The 27 hit you. [00:16:29] Speaker B: No, it does not. [00:16:30] Speaker E: Wow. She must have rolled pretty well. [00:16:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:16:33] Speaker F: 27 with a minus. [00:16:37] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. Okay. And her last action will be to swing one more time at Brianna. Does. Does a. Does a 14 hit? [00:16:48] Speaker B: Oh, sweet summer child. That is a critical failure. [00:16:53] Speaker F: Critical fail. [00:16:55] Speaker A: I don't know why this drew under Brianna, but a critical fail with a melee, you become wounded one, or your wounded value increases by one. [00:17:06] Speaker E: Meh. [00:17:07] Speaker B: You probably got a spike up your nose. I don't know. [00:17:14] Speaker A: Well, Brianna, it is now your turn. [00:17:17] Speaker B: All right. Brianna throws her head back and cackles at her foolish attempt. Says, let me show you how it's really done. Why she's suddenly turned more vicious, I don't know. I'll blame. I'll blame ooh's influence. [00:17:33] Speaker D: Ooh's horny. [00:17:36] Speaker B: There you go. Maybe a little horny for murder, I guess. I don't know. 40? How's a 40? [00:17:46] Speaker E: It feels like a crit. Is that a crit, Sean? [00:17:49] Speaker A: That's a crit. [00:17:51] Speaker B: Nice. I draw crit cards. [00:17:57] Speaker A: Yes. I just want to let everyone know that was an 18 on the die. So effectively, apparently, Brianna is crit. Range is now 18 to 20. [00:18:05] Speaker B: Okay, missing digits. Normal damage. The crit. The target loses one d. Four fingers on one hand becomes clumsy. One until subject to a regeneration spell or similar effect. [00:18:20] Speaker A: Boo. [00:18:21] Speaker B: Can I just take double damage piece? No. Okay. [00:18:26] Speaker A: No, but I'm clumsy. [00:18:28] Speaker B: Oh, you so clumsy. How about 19 points of damage to your fingers? [00:18:36] Speaker A: You get to pick, you leave the middle finger, and they rudely give it to you. That was your first action. [00:18:44] Speaker E: How many fingers did they lose? [00:18:46] Speaker A: Oh, they roll one. D four. Go ahead and roll me a d four. [00:18:50] Speaker B: You got it. [00:18:51] Speaker A: Please. [00:18:52] Speaker F: Four. Four. Damn. [00:18:55] Speaker A: One. [00:18:55] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:18:56] Speaker A: You lose a finger, they lose their pinky. [00:19:00] Speaker E: Yeah, but I took 19 damage to their pinky. That's. It's pretty sad. [00:19:04] Speaker A: I would lose a pinky if I took 19 points of damage to my pinky. [00:19:08] Speaker D: Courting out blood. [00:19:11] Speaker B: Right. [00:19:11] Speaker F: Fun being fancy with a teacup now. [00:19:14] Speaker B: Exactly. Tea time for who? Now Brianna's gonna slash again. [00:19:20] Speaker A: Okay. [00:19:21] Speaker B: For a 23, that does not feel good. [00:19:24] Speaker A: That is a miss. That is a regular miss. Hmm. [00:19:28] Speaker B: Should I use my hero point or should I save it? Guys, what do you think? I'll ask the group. [00:19:34] Speaker E: I would save it. I feel like this fight's gonna be over fairly quickly. [00:19:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:19:39] Speaker A: Also, don't forget, you all have hero point cards to take a look at sometimes. [00:19:46] Speaker B: Mine is more of a skill check than anything. The not in combat, so. And for my last action, it'd be proud of me. Matthew, I'm raising my shield. [00:19:55] Speaker E: Oh, I am proud of you. But can I. I forget. Okay. We've not played in a while. I forget. Reactive murder a lot. Can I reactive murder? This lady from Brianna's crit? [00:20:05] Speaker A: Yes, you may. [00:20:06] Speaker E: Okay. Thank you. [00:20:09] Speaker D: Don't sound so shut. So, Sean, hush, hush, hush. [00:20:13] Speaker E: Does a 37 hit her flat footed? Ac? [00:20:15] Speaker A: That is a crit because of all of the things that have been put onto her. [00:20:21] Speaker E: Oh, no. I'm so upset about it. Piercing surprise opening. You gained one action that you can use before the end of your turn to use an attack action against the target. Also, it's double damage. [00:20:37] Speaker A: Wow, wow. [00:20:38] Speaker E: Okay, so that's 34. So 68 damage on the surprise opening. [00:20:47] Speaker A: Okay. Still standing. Yes. [00:20:52] Speaker B: Not for long. [00:20:54] Speaker E: So I have a question about surprise opening. [00:20:56] Speaker A: Yes. [00:20:57] Speaker E: You gain an action that you can use before the end of your turn. Like, it's not my turn. Do I just lose the ability and just gain double damage, or do I have to? I don't really understand. [00:21:05] Speaker A: I'd say you get to hold onto it till the end of your turn. Or you could use it now. If you'd like to burn it now. [00:21:10] Speaker E: I'd like to burn it now. [00:21:12] Speaker A: Okay, go ahead. [00:21:13] Speaker E: 39 to hit. [00:21:14] Speaker A: Well, a 30 eight's a crit. A 30 nine's a crit too. [00:21:18] Speaker E: Cool. Chipped bone. The target is clumsy. One until healed, which I think they already were. From Briana's crit. [00:21:25] Speaker A: Yes. [00:21:26] Speaker E: But it is another 37, so 74. [00:21:30] Speaker F: Damage now as it did. [00:21:31] Speaker A: Would you. Yes. Yes. Would you like to describe your kill? [00:21:36] Speaker E: So Brianna cuts its pinky off, and while. And while this lady is just, like, staring at her hand, screaming twintalon. Just, like, jabs her repeatedly under her armor in the side until she collapses, until her screams are muffled by the sound of her own blood in her lungs. [00:21:53] Speaker A: Wow, wow, wow. And she was a named person too. [00:21:57] Speaker F: Not anymore. We really need to get somebody who has speak with dead. [00:22:04] Speaker B: Knife sword. [00:22:05] Speaker A: Knife, sword. It is your turn. [00:22:08] Speaker B: I was gonna say he should get it. [00:22:10] Speaker A: I think. [00:22:10] Speaker E: Knife sword. Just has yell at dead. I think that's all he's got. He doesn't speak with as much as just scream at them. It doesn't. It's fun. [00:22:19] Speaker C: Okay. [00:22:20] Speaker F: But, hey, also, Matt, you asked for the random number generator, the die roller. Be nice to you. [00:22:25] Speaker A: And. [00:22:26] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, like I write, I guess. [00:22:29] Speaker F: I'll give you just, like, a couple crits in a row. [00:22:31] Speaker E: Give me a break. [00:22:33] Speaker C: I'm gonna cast magic missile for three actions at the person over by. [00:22:38] Speaker A: Okay, what? [00:22:39] Speaker C: Level two. [00:22:41] Speaker A: Level two. All right. [00:22:42] Speaker C: Six. [00:22:43] Speaker A: Six points of damage. [00:22:45] Speaker C: It could have been better. Yeah. [00:22:47] Speaker A: All right, so that's six points of damage. Ooh. From behind you, you see three bolts of just come and pepper this person, this woman in the chest. Saraya, you're up again. [00:22:58] Speaker F: Okay, so we're gonna go. I'm gonna move twice. [00:23:02] Speaker A: Okay. [00:23:04] Speaker F: And I'm just gonna deck her. [00:23:06] Speaker A: Okay. [00:23:07] Speaker F: The damage ain't that, but, you know, it's just fun sometimes. Ugh. 23 is gonna miss. [00:23:14] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a regular miss. [00:23:16] Speaker F: All right, well, that's two. That was, you know, move twice and attack, so. [00:23:20] Speaker A: Ooh, it is your turn. [00:23:22] Speaker D: It is my turn. [00:23:24] Speaker A: Ooh. [00:23:24] Speaker D: Is tired of this lady. She's been shot, she's angry, so she's gonna take another swing. Swing. [00:23:34] Speaker A: Okay. [00:23:35] Speaker D: And we'll see what happens. 32. [00:23:38] Speaker A: That is a hit. [00:23:39] Speaker D: Hooray. I feel like the way that I said that was very mad. Like, hooray, hooray. I'm working on it, you know? Cause Sandra was saying something about, like, cross crossing characters or whatever. I'm working on my mat impression. I'm working on it. [00:23:55] Speaker E: Okay. [00:23:57] Speaker D: 14 dimage. [00:23:58] Speaker A: All right. Punch or no. Sorry, you swing your battle axe right into their chest. Tweet. [00:24:05] Speaker D: We do it again. [00:24:08] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, no. [00:24:11] Speaker B: Oh, jeez. [00:24:13] Speaker A: Would you like to use your hero point to reroll that natural one? [00:24:17] Speaker D: Yeah, sure. Why not? Yeah, why not? Let's go. [00:24:21] Speaker A: All right, hero point is gone. [00:24:26] Speaker D: It's definitely something that would do, right? 33. 33 will hit for 19 dimash. [00:24:33] Speaker A: 19 demos. [00:24:34] Speaker D: All right. And we swing again in the hopes that this lady will just die. [00:24:43] Speaker A: Will hit. [00:24:45] Speaker B: Hell, yeah. Oh, come on. [00:24:48] Speaker A: Finish her. 16. All right. [00:24:52] Speaker D: She's still alive. [00:24:53] Speaker A: She's still alive, lady. [00:24:56] Speaker F: She's not going anywhere. [00:24:58] Speaker A: It is now her turn. She spins. She's going to shoot at ooh. [00:25:05] Speaker E: First with that provokes attack, opportunity from and Saraya. But I don't. I don't think you have that. [00:25:12] Speaker F: I don't think I actually have any reactions. [00:25:14] Speaker E: Me neither. [00:25:15] Speaker A: Ooh. Go ahead and swing away. This is at your highest attack bonus. [00:25:21] Speaker D: 30. [00:25:21] Speaker A: That'll hit. That'll hit. [00:25:23] Speaker B: Nice. [00:25:25] Speaker D: 16 damage. [00:25:26] Speaker A: 16 damage. Still up. And now she just puts the crossbow to your chest and shoots. [00:25:33] Speaker B: Rude. [00:25:34] Speaker A: 37 versus your ac. [00:25:37] Speaker D: It is one short of a cred. [00:25:39] Speaker A: Okay. Would you like to please? You don't have to, but could you give me a fortitude save, please? Again, you don't have to. You can just climb it. [00:25:48] Speaker D: 39. [00:25:49] Speaker A: That's a critical. That's a critical success. You're fine. You take 18 points of damage as this crossbow goes to your chest. They're going to reload their crossbow and spin around and shoot at Saraya. [00:26:05] Speaker F: She has to make a flak check. [00:26:07] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. [00:26:08] Speaker F: I'm concealed. [00:26:10] Speaker A: Bitch. You are concealed. Oh, I thought that was going to roll the concealer. Flat check. D 20. And what do I need a five or higher, right? [00:26:18] Speaker F: I think so. It's just a normal flat check for concealment. [00:26:20] Speaker A: I always forget how much it is. [00:26:22] Speaker F: It's been five, I think every time we've done it. [00:26:24] Speaker A: I think so. Concealed. Yep. DC five. Flat check. [00:26:28] Speaker F: I mean, 20% miss Chance. 20% miss Chance. [00:26:31] Speaker A: 16 on the die. [00:26:33] Speaker F: Alright, so she can definitely hit me. [00:26:35] Speaker A: Does a 33 hit you? [00:26:37] Speaker F: That does hit. [00:26:38] Speaker A: Can you please give me a fortitude save? [00:26:41] Speaker F: Absolutely. I'm a master at this. 133. [00:26:45] Speaker A: Oh, that is a critical success. Okay, so damage is a measly eleven points of damage. [00:26:55] Speaker F: Oh, that's fine. [00:26:58] Speaker A: Twin Talon, it is your turn. [00:27:00] Speaker E: There's not a lot of room up there. So I think in two moves he can kind of circle around. [00:27:05] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. [00:27:06] Speaker E: To this side. [00:27:07] Speaker A: Absolutely. [00:27:08] Speaker E: I figure Brienne is going to take the more direct approach. So he will swing around to the side and he will get to attack one time. [00:27:14] Speaker A: All right. They're flat footed. [00:27:16] Speaker E: Oh. Oh yeah they are. [00:27:18] Speaker A: 28 will hit. [00:27:20] Speaker E: All right, so that's 33 damage. [00:27:23] Speaker A: Okay. [00:27:24] Speaker E: And if they're still alive, I would like to apply precise debilitations to them. [00:27:28] Speaker A: Okay. Precise debilitation has been applied. Great. Is it? [00:27:34] Speaker E: And Taysani's just moved 5ft over to stand next to Brianna. [00:27:38] Speaker B: Hi, baby. [00:27:39] Speaker A: Girl. Girl. [00:27:40] Speaker D: I only get one reaction, right? [00:27:42] Speaker A: Correct. [00:27:43] Speaker B: Per round? [00:27:43] Speaker D: Per round. [00:27:44] Speaker E: Unless you have an ability that gives you something else. [00:27:46] Speaker D: Okay. So I would not be able to take another reaction at this time. [00:27:48] Speaker A: You would be correct. No, wait. [00:27:52] Speaker E: At the beginning of your turn, you basically get all of your actions. So you get one reaction and three normal actions. So since you have not gone since you took your reaction. No, she did not get to go again. [00:28:04] Speaker A: She did. [00:28:05] Speaker E: She has not she did not. Ooh. Went. And then the scarlet triad person went. Tried to shoot her. [00:28:11] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. [00:28:11] Speaker E: And she used her opportunity. [00:28:13] Speaker A: Yes. Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. Yep. [00:28:15] Speaker E: So since the last person to go who was not. Ooh, ooh. Has not gone. [00:28:19] Speaker A: Correct. Sorry. Okay, I was remembering two rounds ago when she followed. [00:28:25] Speaker B: All right, Brianna looks back at dark hole, then over to her best friend in the whole wide world ever. Taysani. [00:28:36] Speaker E: I was gonna say. [00:28:36] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Mm hmm. And then she's like, you know what? It's quite a walk over there, so. Hey, you, Archer. I'm guessing they're an archer. May serenade's light. Be the one to judge you. And she will cast divine lands. [00:28:55] Speaker A: Ooh, let's see it. Let's see it. Make that attack. That is a natural one. Would you like a here to use your hero point for that natural? [00:29:09] Speaker B: I would, because so far with divine Lance, I've been following intended footsteps with his divine tuning fork or whatever it was. [00:29:18] Speaker A: Divine. Divine trident. I like divine tuning fork way better, though. We miss you, Anwar. [00:29:32] Speaker F: We miss you. [00:29:33] Speaker B: We miss both of them. Heck yes. All right, take two. I mean, you slide, for fuck's sake. It guides you. [00:29:45] Speaker A: You shake your hands out. Hang on, let me try that again. [00:29:49] Speaker D: There we are. [00:29:53] Speaker A: Natural 2039. That is a critical hit. Please draw a crit hit. [00:30:03] Speaker B: Yes. [00:30:04] Speaker A: And this would be magic. Magic. [00:30:07] Speaker B: First time with magic. Bomb or spell? [00:30:09] Speaker A: Ooh. [00:30:12] Speaker B: Life leech. If this is a spell, the target becomes doomed. One. And you regain one d. Eight hit points. I don't think I'm hit, am I? Oh, yes. Yes, I am. [00:30:25] Speaker A: Yeah. So go ahead. And first off, click damage, which will be double damage. If you go to the chat bar on the right, there should be a damage button. Oh, two, that's a lot of damage. That's 44. Yeah, yeah. [00:30:42] Speaker B: 44 damage for you that. [00:30:45] Speaker A: That kills her. So please describe your kill first. [00:30:51] Speaker B: Okay. So she says, may the light of surenres grace be the one to judge you. And I believe previously, whenever Brianna was casting or doing anything serenrei, she gets, like, little flecks of the wings that she had previously had been bestowed to her. So you see some of that, and then she finally, like, shows a palm to the archer, and you see for a hot moment, the enemies scream and their eyes and mouth kind of light. With serenity, totally light. And then the next thing anybody can see, since they were, you know, combust in holy energy, is that they're a pile of ash. And maybe whatever loot they may or may not have is in a pile next to them because, yeah, game mechanics. I mean, what? [00:31:43] Speaker E: Surrender is cool. She wouldn't take our loot. [00:31:45] Speaker A: Exactly. [00:31:46] Speaker B: She's like, here you go, guys, good job. And then roll a d eight and I get back. Fuck sake. Three, dammit. I mean, three healing points back. [00:31:56] Speaker A: I mean, it's free healing. [00:31:58] Speaker B: Yes, exactly. I'm gonna move forward for my last action just to make sure everybody's cool. Come on, Tesani. [00:32:08] Speaker A: Yeah. Combat's over though. So, uh, you know, I just wanted. [00:32:13] Speaker B: To finish my round, that's all. [00:32:17] Speaker A: Alright, so after a few seconds of noise, it is now eerily silent in this lecture hall. [00:32:25] Speaker B: Is anybody hurt very badly? [00:32:27] Speaker F: Not very, just. Just a bit. Surya just kind of like eases herself onto one of the benches. [00:32:33] Speaker B: Briana will then follow with her healer's kit and her, her bandages and the like and start working on getting Soraya up to tippy top shape. [00:32:43] Speaker A: All right, so we're in exploration mode. So Suraya, you're gonna get healed by Brianna. [00:32:49] Speaker F: Yeah. Can I rifle through the pile of ash for anything interesting while she's doing that? [00:32:53] Speaker A: So Matt actually brought up a really good point. Last episode or two episodes ago, when you are being healed, you cannot do anything else. [00:33:01] Speaker F: Okay? [00:33:02] Speaker A: So you have to sit there like you're in a doctor's office while Brianna takes some hello Kitty band aids and sticks them on, or hello Sarenrae band aids and sticks them on and checks your. Checks your reflexes, you know? Can you touch your nose, walk in. [00:33:20] Speaker B: A straight line, turn your head and click? [00:33:23] Speaker A: That's field sobriety. Heidi, what is ooh going to do? [00:33:29] Speaker D: Ooh, having just been shot with a crossbow in her chest, she'll take it out of her chest, she'll snap it on her knee, she'll take the pointy and she'll start stabbing the body a couple times. She's really mad. And then I guess she'll, she'll like dig through the pockets. [00:33:46] Speaker A: Okay. [00:33:49] Speaker D: Yeah, I would like to rifle through that dead body. [00:33:51] Speaker A: We will let you rifle through the dead body in a second. [00:33:54] Speaker F: Sure. [00:33:55] Speaker A: Matt, what would twin Talon like to do? [00:33:57] Speaker E: Brianna looks like she's in good shape and she's taking care of Saraya. Twin talons, very slightly nibbled as far as pizzas go. So he and Taesani, I think you're gonna just take a look through the other bodies down below. [00:34:11] Speaker A: All right. So, you know, which body do you want to look at? The other crossbow wielding one or the clubby one? [00:34:17] Speaker E: I go to the clubby one. [00:34:20] Speaker A: All right. Knife, sword, what would you like to do in these next ten minutes? [00:34:25] Speaker C: Well, rifling through bodies seems like the popular thing to do, and I like to be popular. [00:34:29] Speaker A: Okay, so you head over to the other body and you begin to rifle through. Brianna, what did you roll for? Healing. [00:34:41] Speaker B: Yes, I rolled an 18, which does not make the 20, but it does make the 15 DC, so I just did a without the ten. So Saraya gets back ten points. Points of healing. [00:34:53] Speaker A: Okay. Ooh. You find the following items. A one striking crossbow, a one short sword, a set of leather armor, a portable alchemist's lab manacles. Good manacles marked with the symbol of the scarlet triad. Keys to the manacles. You find 113 things in vials and ten bolts. [00:35:25] Speaker D: All right. Goodness, y'all, I think I just hit the jackpot. Do say so myself. Saraya, do you need an alchemist set, my love? [00:35:38] Speaker F: What now? [00:35:39] Speaker D: There's also 13 vials of who knows what here. And if you don't take them, we might drink them. [00:35:45] Speaker F: Now, I'm definitely going to take those. [00:35:47] Speaker D: Okay, I thought you'd want them. I got medicals here if you want them, too. Wink, wink. [00:35:52] Speaker F: Oh, she kind of turns a little pink, but she's kind of like. We can talk about those later. [00:35:57] Speaker B: Oh. [00:36:00] Speaker A: Are we just throwing all of this stuff into the bag? Except for the expanded alchemist lab, which gives you a plus one item bonus. To crafting, to creating alchemical items. [00:36:12] Speaker F: I mean, how many bulk is that? [00:36:15] Speaker A: It is six bulk. [00:36:19] Speaker F: I don't even know if she could carry that right now. I'd have to pull up here. Eleven. Check. [00:36:22] Speaker A: All right, so into the bag. [00:36:25] Speaker D: Into the bag. Now, you. [00:36:26] Speaker A: Everything in the bag. [00:36:27] Speaker D: You mentioned before that there were two doses of something. Is was that going in with the 13 vials, or was that something separated? [00:36:33] Speaker A: Yes. So? So there is two doses of something that is like a bluey liquid. There's one ready liquid, and there are ten greeny liquids. [00:36:49] Speaker D: And I also have these vials, and I don't know what they're comprised of. [00:36:53] Speaker F: So I will certainly take a look at those as soon as Brianna's finished. [00:36:59] Speaker A: All right, so it's going to take you another ten. It's gonna take you ten minutes to identify those. Okay, but let me finish up with everyone else. [00:37:06] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:37:07] Speaker A: Matt? [00:37:08] Speaker E: Yes? [00:37:09] Speaker A: You find the following things. A plus one striking great club in the bag, plus one short bow in the bag, a chain shirt in the bag. Average manacles marked with the symbol of the scarlet triad in the bag. Actually, three sets of those. [00:37:29] Speaker E: Bag. Bye. Bag. [00:37:30] Speaker B: What? Why do you want manacles? [00:37:32] Speaker E: Ten arrows, I guess, in the back, half arrows. Why do I want manacles? I don't necessarily, but what else are we gonna do, like, leave them here for them to reclaim? [00:37:43] Speaker D: I don't think he's gonna put them on your bedside, baby. [00:37:45] Speaker B: Oh, no, I'm going to. Are you quite healed? Okay, I'm a go pray. Bye. [00:37:59] Speaker A: All right. And knife. Sword. [00:38:02] Speaker C: Yes. [00:38:03] Speaker A: You find the following things. A slightly spicy striking crossbow, a spicy short sword, regular jerky. Jerky armor, which is leather for the. [00:38:23] Speaker B: Rest of you, yes. [00:38:24] Speaker A: Oh, I remember. An alchemist lab. Expanded alchemist lab. Good. Manacles marked with the symbol of the scarlet triad. Keys to the manacles. Two vials of a bluey liquid, one vial of a red liquid, ten bolts and seven vials of a green viscousy liquidity. [00:38:47] Speaker C: Hmm. [00:38:48] Speaker E: I'm guessing some of that is the poison they've been applying, right? [00:38:51] Speaker F: I assume as much. [00:38:52] Speaker C: Take the short sword and proceed to cut the jerky into more manageable slices. [00:38:58] Speaker B: Oh, no. Oh, no. Why? [00:39:05] Speaker F: I just like the idea that, like, boiling a boot is a goblin delicacy. [00:39:12] Speaker A: All right, I'm gonna put some leather armor onto your sheet that I'm gonna adjust in a second, okay? [00:39:19] Speaker F: You're not. [00:39:19] Speaker A: Anything else? [00:39:20] Speaker F: I'd like to convert it into rations. [00:39:23] Speaker B: No. [00:39:25] Speaker C: What was the first thing? I'm sorry? Before the sword, there was something. And then this. [00:39:30] Speaker A: Yes, it was a spicy. Plus a spicy crossbow. [00:39:35] Speaker C: Okay, thank you. I will be putting those in my. In my gear. That the sword? I might. Oh, I'm also gonna take some of the, uh, the green and put it on a couple of pieces of the. The, uh, the jerky to let it dry and sort of soak in. [00:39:52] Speaker F: Can I see this happening? [00:39:54] Speaker E: I think marinade is what you. [00:39:56] Speaker C: Dang it. Yeah, that's the word. [00:39:58] Speaker A: How many of the seven are you taking? [00:40:00] Speaker C: I was gonna put them all in my bag, and then I'll just, you know, use one of them on some. [00:40:03] Speaker A: Okay. [00:40:04] Speaker C: You know. [00:40:04] Speaker A: All right, so you're taking. You're taking all of it? [00:40:07] Speaker C: Mm hmm. [00:40:08] Speaker A: All right. [00:40:09] Speaker C: I mean, I'm gonna put it in the group loot eventually, but just, you know, get it off the floor. [00:40:12] Speaker A: Okay, well, okay, do you want me to put it on your sheet or into the group loot sheet? [00:40:17] Speaker C: I want to hold on to the crossbow and short sword with the bolts, but everything else can go in the group loot. [00:40:22] Speaker A: Okay, cool. So that takes about ten minutes. What would you guys like to do for the next ten minutes? [00:40:29] Speaker F: I can always identify these things later if we don't want to take break. Or if we want to take ten more minutes, I can do it now. Kind of annoying that quick identification only works on magic. Apparently not on alchemy. [00:40:40] Speaker B: Ooh, needs some love, I think, after two crossbows. [00:40:46] Speaker A: Crossbow bolts in the chest. Whoa, whoa. [00:40:49] Speaker D: They're flesh wounds. All right, it's fine. I'm okay. [00:40:52] Speaker B: Okay, but just to make sure it doesn't get infected, you could take a. [00:40:56] Speaker F: Few minutes and make sure that you're alright. [00:40:58] Speaker D: Check me tonight. [00:40:59] Speaker F: Wink wink. [00:41:00] Speaker B: I will. [00:41:02] Speaker F: You know, I'll change the bandages, but we have to get bandages on first. [00:41:06] Speaker B: Are you two done? Can I do my job now? [00:41:08] Speaker D: Can I do email? [00:41:10] Speaker A: Oh no. [00:41:14] Speaker B: Stop it. There is no time for. Ah. Brianna is quite red. [00:41:21] Speaker A: Why is there suddenly a band aid over ooh's mouth? The gauze just around a couple times. [00:41:32] Speaker B: Here, this will help. You're severely wounded in the mouth. [00:41:37] Speaker A: Be quiet. So Brianna is going to treat wounds on. Ooh. Saraya is going to identify these things. Twin talon knife sword. What would you guys like to do? [00:41:48] Speaker E: Twiddle my thooms or I guess I can. I'll just try to heal myself. I'm a little hurt. Not much. So I'll just try to band it up. Okay, if I got ten minutes. [00:41:58] Speaker A: All right. Uh, a knife sword. [00:42:01] Speaker C: I'm tasting my sword. You said it was spicy. How spicy? [00:42:05] Speaker A: Yes, uh, it is, uh, uh, uh, hot picante. [00:42:10] Speaker C: Maybe I'll use it to like, as like a plank to grill, uh, some of the jerky on some of the poison jerky. [00:42:16] Speaker A: Uh, okay, Christine, give me a craft alchemy or. Or recall knowledge alchemy. [00:42:23] Speaker F: The alchemy roll is a 26. [00:42:26] Speaker A: You do not identify the bluey substance. You do not identify the red substance and the green substance. You do identify. You know that that is giant scorpion venomous knife sword. These are ten doses that you can apply to weapons or the inside of knife sword. No. [00:42:54] Speaker F: She holds up a green vial. Do not eat these. [00:42:57] Speaker C: As she says that. I've already got it like spread out on a strip of thing that I'm just like getting ready to put in my mouth. [00:43:04] Speaker F: They will poison you. [00:43:06] Speaker C: Huh? [00:43:10] Speaker F: You will not survive eating these. Or at least it won't be pleasant. And I don't want any of that happening in Brianna's backpack. [00:43:16] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:43:17] Speaker F: Actually, do I have. Do you have it in my inventory? [00:43:21] Speaker A: I have it in the group loot. Would you like me to put it into your character sheet? [00:43:25] Speaker F: I just want to see if it is an ingestible poison or if it's only injury. [00:43:28] Speaker A: Common alchemical, consumable injury. Poison. Oh. [00:43:32] Speaker F: So you could theoretically eat it. Actually, you'd be okay as long as you don't have an ulcer. [00:43:36] Speaker B: That's so fun. [00:43:38] Speaker D: Can we make the assumption that reds usually mean health? Then I could just drink that. [00:43:43] Speaker F: Not necessarily. [00:43:45] Speaker B: Stop trying to drink red potion. [00:43:47] Speaker C: Wait, does that mean. [00:43:48] Speaker F: I'm actually. I'm almost tempted to use my hero point to roll that again because I got a three on the die, and, like, that's kind of annoying. [00:43:55] Speaker A: I mean, you could. Or you could take another ten minutes. [00:43:59] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:44:00] Speaker E: I'm worried people upstairs hurt us. [00:44:04] Speaker F: Yeah, that's the other thing. That should be a 28, but I don't know how much better that is. [00:44:09] Speaker A: 28. 28 will let you identify the blue and the red. [00:44:17] Speaker F: Okay. [00:44:17] Speaker A: Yep. That lets you identify both of them. So the blue is called adelbrain. It is a rare, alchemical consumable inhaled poison. Certain scarlet triad poisoners like to use toxins like attlebrain to keep captured prisoners docile and compliant for short periods of time until they can be properly shackled and imprisoned. Our brain is distilled from a hallucinogenic lichen that can often be found growing in the sewers below, particularly large cities like cadapesh. Once soaked in special reagents and then dried, a dose of adalbrane must be either lit with a flame or tossed into a fire to activate, whereupon it unleashes a cloud of toxin as a normal for an inhaled poison. For one action, you can interact with it to toss it. It is a DC 25 fortitude save maximum. Our onset is 1 minute. Duration is one day maximum. At stage one, they are enfeebled one and stupefied one for ten minutes. At stage two, they are feeble two and stupefied two for 1 hour, and at stage three, they are fatigued, enfeebled four and stupefied four for the remainder of the day. [00:45:36] Speaker F: Damn. [00:45:37] Speaker A: You have four doses of that between the two. [00:45:40] Speaker F: Okay. And the red stuff? [00:45:42] Speaker A: The red stuff is a greater antidote, one action to interact. Upon drinking it, you gain a plus four item bonus to fortitude saves against poisons for the next 6 hours. [00:45:55] Speaker F: So the red one, it wouldn't actually help heal you, but if you had any ongoing lingering poisonous effects, which it does not seem you do, it would help with that. I think it's best just to let Brienne attend and start moving on. [00:46:08] Speaker A: You could also drink them now and then for the next 6 hours. You guys are. [00:46:13] Speaker F: That's true. We'd have some kind of poison defense. Plus four, which, if each of you wanted to take one. I have poison resistance five. [00:46:20] Speaker D: So no poison resistance sure might not be a bad idea for us. We don't know what we're walking into. And these are baddies. And they have poison. [00:46:31] Speaker A: Yes. So you have two of the antidotes and four of the addle brains. [00:46:36] Speaker D: Ooh, brains. [00:46:38] Speaker F: Does anybody else want the Wyvern poison, or shall I take that too? [00:46:42] Speaker D: You can take that. [00:46:43] Speaker B: Just don't give it to twin Talon. [00:46:45] Speaker C: Mm hmm. [00:46:45] Speaker B: That was an out of character shade. Not in character. [00:46:49] Speaker F: I mean, we could give it to ooh to give them a taste of their own medicine. Or at least I will apply one dose to ooh's great axe. [00:46:56] Speaker D: What if we put it on the manacles? If we don't kill, are we gonna take these people in? Are we gonna kill them? [00:47:01] Speaker F: Well, I mean, we could use the adult against them, but the poison itself, it needs to enter the bloodstream. So just putting it on the manacles. [00:47:10] Speaker B: Yeah. Might not be enough. [00:47:12] Speaker D: Alright, well, then load my axe up, baby. [00:47:15] Speaker F: Just slather someone. [00:47:17] Speaker A: All right. I have equipped one thing of giant scorpion venom applied to your axe. [00:47:24] Speaker F: And what does the giant scorpion venom actually do? I don't think you told us. [00:47:27] Speaker A: Oh, I'm sorry. It does stuff and things. [00:47:30] Speaker E: All right, both stuff and things. Wow. [00:47:33] Speaker B: Checks out. [00:47:35] Speaker A: I know. [00:47:36] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:47:37] Speaker A: It is two actions to activate, but it's on your weapon, so you don't have to worry about that. It is a DC 22 fortitude save, which you guys were smoking. I was really sad. Maximum duration is six rounds. First round is one. D ten. Poison and enfeebled one. Stage two is two. D ten and enfeebled one. Which those both at last one round. And then stage three is two. D ten and enfeebled two, which also lasts one round. [00:48:05] Speaker F: Cool. [00:48:06] Speaker B: All right. [00:48:07] Speaker A: Not a bad paul. Would anyone like the to take the antidote? [00:48:14] Speaker F: I'm good for now. [00:48:14] Speaker E: I'll take it if no one else is gonna take it. [00:48:16] Speaker A: Okay. [00:48:17] Speaker D: I think you should. I think. [00:48:18] Speaker A: What? [00:48:19] Speaker D: How much? What happen? [00:48:20] Speaker F: Well, so Twintellen and knife sword don't have the juggernaut ability. [00:48:25] Speaker D: Yeah, I think that's a really smart idea. [00:48:27] Speaker B: Right. [00:48:27] Speaker F: I think the two of them should have them. [00:48:29] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:48:30] Speaker F: Even if they don't drink them right now, they can. Should things arise and get that plus four. [00:48:35] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:48:36] Speaker F: And if you don't use them today, I can reverse engineer them, as I plan on doing with the Wyvern poison, if I don't already have or, sorry, the scorpion poison, if I don't already have that. And the attlebrain. [00:48:47] Speaker A: All right, so both knife sword and twin Talon now have the greater antidote, which once you take it, you get a plus four to your to saves against poison for the next 6 hours. Okay, now that we've done that, this. I mean, you guys can look around. You can also continue up to the next floor. [00:49:08] Speaker D: I say we move fast. But that's just me. [00:49:11] Speaker F: It wasn't a long scuffle, but it was. [00:49:14] Speaker E: There were traps previously, so I would just prefer to move cautiously. [00:49:18] Speaker F: Well, yes, but we can get moving. [00:49:20] Speaker B: Yes. Is everybody sufficiently healed? Although I think I should perhaps do another random. Ooh, I don't know if that was enough. [00:49:29] Speaker D: I'll be fine. Don't worry about me. [00:49:32] Speaker E: Look at me. [00:49:32] Speaker D: I'm built like a fucking tank. [00:49:35] Speaker B: Okay, onward we go. [00:49:39] Speaker A: What is the order? [00:49:40] Speaker F: Same as before. [00:49:41] Speaker D: Mm hmm. [00:49:42] Speaker A: Same as before. Second verse. Same as the first. [00:49:45] Speaker E: A little bit louder and a little bit worse. [00:49:47] Speaker A: Okay, so it goes twin Talon, followed by Brianna, followed by Nif, followed by Saraya, followed by. Ooh. Followed by monster. [00:50:04] Speaker B: Monsters. [00:50:05] Speaker E: What is that? [00:50:07] Speaker D: I can't see. [00:50:08] Speaker B: Yep. Good luck. [00:50:09] Speaker E: It's like a wooden robot with a brain on top of it. [00:50:12] Speaker A: This landing's north stairs lead down to the 6th floor and the south stairs lead up on this floor. Floor, you see two golems patrolling patrol em. [00:50:25] Speaker B: Golems. [00:50:27] Speaker E: Petroleum golems. [00:50:29] Speaker F: Petroleum golems. [00:50:30] Speaker B: That's it. [00:50:31] Speaker A: What? [00:50:32] Speaker D: What are you seeing? [00:50:34] Speaker E: It's. It's. It's like a wooden robot with a brain in the jar for a head. [00:50:39] Speaker D: That sounds scary. [00:50:40] Speaker E: It's more gross than anything. [00:50:42] Speaker D: Um, is there any. Is there like a dis activate button? Deactivate button. [00:50:46] Speaker E: Um, Twintalon will kind of gesture with his short sword, and he'll be like just the normal one, I think. [00:50:52] Speaker D: Okay, so we go in and smash. [00:50:57] Speaker E: Yep. [00:50:58] Speaker F: Ooh, smash. [00:51:00] Speaker A: They do not seem to know you're here yet. So if there's anything you would like to do before rolling initiative, you absolutely may. [00:51:08] Speaker E: Um. May I make a knowledge or a recall? Knowledge check? [00:51:12] Speaker A: Absolutely. You can use arcana or crafting. [00:51:20] Speaker E: I am an expert in Arcana, apparently. So I will do that. [00:51:24] Speaker B: That's fun. [00:51:25] Speaker A: I will say based off this role. Let's see. Oh, I'm sorry, Matt. I'm supposed to roll that for you. Let me roll that for you. [00:51:33] Speaker E: Okay. [00:51:34] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. You know the following things, Matt. This golem is a walking alchemical nightmare capable of inflicting all manners of painful wounds. Its ability to follow orders is granted by the otherwise mindless humanoid brain that floats in its dome like head. In exceptionally rare cases, the brain used in its creation might retain fragments of memories or even actual intellect, resulting in an alchemical golem with a personality and agenda of its own. You can ask me. Yeah, you can ask me two questions. [00:52:10] Speaker E: Okay. What kind of resistances does it have? Or if resistances and weaknesses. If that's one question, I'll take both. If not, then I'll just take resistances. [00:52:18] Speaker A: Yep, resistances. I'll give you resistances and immunities. How's that? [00:52:23] Speaker E: Sounds great. [00:52:24] Speaker A: Immunities are the following. Acid bleed, death effects, disease, doomed, drained. Fatigue, healing magic. See below, which I'll read to you in a second. Mental necromancy, non lethal attacks, paralyzation, poison, sickened and unconsciousness. It is resistant to physical damage, twelve, except for adamantine or bludgeoning. Now, if we go down to the magic portion that it is resistant to, golem is harmed by sonic damage, healed by acid, and slowed by cold, it is also vulnerable to shatter. Casting a shatter spell on an alchemical golem affects the golem normally, but also causes an alchemical rupture. [00:53:23] Speaker E: Okay, so, Twintown, I'll whisper back. They're weak to sonic and cold. Do not use acid on them. Knife, sword. I don't know if you have shatter, but this would be the time to use it if you do acid. No acid. [00:53:34] Speaker B: Oh. [00:53:37] Speaker A: And then it's also physical damage twelve, except for adamantine or bludgeoning. [00:53:42] Speaker E: All right. Yeah. And if you're gonna hit it, hit it with something blunt, and twin Talon will concentrate, and he will turn his short sword into a. A light mace. [00:53:51] Speaker A: Okay. [00:53:52] Speaker B: Something blunt. [00:53:54] Speaker A: Matt, you have one more question. [00:53:56] Speaker E: So, I'm not sure there's something I can ask, but you'll tell me. You had mentioned that the brains have, like, agendas of their own sometimes left over. [00:54:05] Speaker A: Yes. [00:54:06] Speaker E: Is there any way to, like, trigger that, or, like. Because their golems have been programmed. But is there any way to make their flesh brain be more dominant than they're commanded stuff? [00:54:17] Speaker A: I will tell you that these ones do not retain any of those memories. [00:54:22] Speaker E: Okay. [00:54:23] Speaker A: These are mindless golems that are here to do one thing, which is protect the doors. [00:54:30] Speaker E: Protect the doors. Are there doors inside? [00:54:33] Speaker A: Once you can move in, you will see. Doors. Yes. [00:54:36] Speaker E: All right, everybody ready? [00:54:38] Speaker B: Yes. [00:54:39] Speaker D: Do I need to change out my sword? My. Sorry, my. My axe? [00:54:44] Speaker E: Yes. Use your fist or anything blunt. [00:54:48] Speaker D: Okay. My fist it is. [00:54:49] Speaker A: Ooh, what is your. Your battle axe? [00:54:53] Speaker D: Made out of adamantine. [00:54:55] Speaker E: Oh, right. That'll be fine. Sorry. [00:54:57] Speaker D: Okay. Sorry. [00:55:00] Speaker A: No, I just. I just wanted to let you know that you have an adamantine battle axe. I don't know, things. No, that's fine. That's fine. Since you are all sneaking up, you can either roll perception or stealth for initiative. Since they are unaware of you guys, they are going to take a minus to their initiative. Does that work for everyone? [00:55:23] Speaker E: Yep. [00:55:24] Speaker A: Yep. [00:55:25] Speaker B: So, stealth. [00:55:26] Speaker A: Stealth or perception, your choice. [00:55:28] Speaker B: Understood. [00:55:29] Speaker A: Okay, let's start from the bottom up, this time with initiative. Order. Rob, what did you roll? [00:55:38] Speaker C: 33. 33.33. Repeating. Of course. [00:55:43] Speaker A: Okay. Of course. Of course. Matt, what did you roll? [00:55:46] Speaker E: Twintalon. Got a 42. [00:55:48] Speaker A: But that's higher than knife sword. [00:55:50] Speaker E: I know. Weird, right? [00:55:52] Speaker A: That. That's not right. I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to reroll that again. [00:55:57] Speaker C: Shenanigans. [00:55:59] Speaker A: Hiya. What did you. I'm sorry. Heidi, what did. What did you get? [00:56:04] Speaker D: Ooh, got a 24. [00:56:06] Speaker A: Hiya. What did Brianna get? [00:56:09] Speaker B: Brianna got a 27. [00:56:11] Speaker A: And, Christine, what did Saraya get? [00:56:13] Speaker F: Saraya also got a 27. Who would. [00:56:15] Speaker A: Like to go first between the two of you? Brianna and Saraya. [00:56:19] Speaker F: I plan on flinging some thunderstones, so if you want to hang back a little bit and not risk getting deafened before you go. [00:56:27] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. [00:56:28] Speaker A: Great. Cool. So I just adjusted you in the initiative order. [00:56:32] Speaker F: Thank you. [00:56:33] Speaker A: All right, Matt. [00:56:35] Speaker E: Yep? [00:56:36] Speaker A: You go first for once. [00:56:39] Speaker E: Yeah. You think with the 25 mod, I'd go first more often, but whatever. Okay, so Twintelle's gonna move up five. Oh, boy. There's another one. Okay. [00:56:48] Speaker A: Oh, boy. Do you see the doors now? [00:56:50] Speaker E: There's five doors. [00:56:52] Speaker A: Yep. [00:56:53] Speaker E: Huh. I wish I would have thought more about this, but I didn't. No, I was thinking, like, there's got to be something that lets people buy, so if we could pretend to be. But I don't. I don't know what it would be, other than the manacles with the scarlet triad symbol. Whatever. Fucking smashy smash. [00:57:15] Speaker A: Because your. Your weapon changes shape, but it retains the same damage and everything. I mean, obviously, it changed to bludgeoning. [00:57:21] Speaker E: But, uh, it does not. [00:57:24] Speaker A: Oh, it does not. It becomes a. [00:57:26] Speaker E: It becomes. Right, so it becomes two d four, plus ten, plus three d six. I don't get the extra one at the end, and then. But the sneak attack. The. Is still the same, so that doesn't change. [00:57:39] Speaker A: Okay, so I'm just gonna. Okay. I'm gonna let you do your thing. Go ahead. [00:57:44] Speaker E: All right, so he's going to like the attack bonus, doesn't change. It was just the damage. [00:57:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:57:48] Speaker E: You move up and I'm going to attack. I just slid out on its side. This thing is flat footed if it can be. [00:57:58] Speaker A: Yes. Yes. [00:58:00] Speaker E: Okay, so does that hit? [00:58:01] Speaker A: What did you roll? Sorry. [00:58:02] Speaker E: 31. [00:58:03] Speaker A: 31 will definitely hit. It will not be a critical hit though. [00:58:10] Speaker E: So that's 24 damage. Bludgeoning damage. [00:58:14] Speaker A: Bludgeoning damage. [00:58:16] Speaker E: Kind of shatter its little brain. Jarved. I will put precise debilitations up on it. [00:58:21] Speaker A: Okay. [00:58:21] Speaker E: And then I will attack again. [00:58:23] Speaker A: Okay. [00:58:24] Speaker E: 29 to hit. [00:58:25] Speaker A: Will hit. [00:58:26] Speaker E: Okay. [00:58:27] Speaker F: Just watching all of the dice scatter is great. [00:58:32] Speaker E: So that's two d, four, plus ten, plus three D six. Two D. Six is 32 damage with the second attack. [00:58:38] Speaker A: All right. It takes it. [00:58:41] Speaker E: Yeah. That's three actions. [00:58:44] Speaker A: Alright. Knife, sword, it is your turn. [00:58:47] Speaker C: I still can't see the bad guy yet, so I'm gonna move up the stairs a little bit and. Ooh, I'll throw an acid ball at it. [00:58:54] Speaker E: No, cold or snow. [00:58:59] Speaker F: No words of higher. [00:59:02] Speaker B: Yeah, cold, huh? [00:59:04] Speaker E: Yeah, cold's fine. Like chilling darkness if you got that left. [00:59:09] Speaker C: All right, let's do it. I'm gonna do chilling darkness on. Can I see the one next to twin talon? [00:59:17] Speaker A: You can see a little bit. If you. If you aim at that one, it's definitely gonna get some armor, some cover from the wall. [00:59:24] Speaker C: I'm gonna aim at the other one then. Okay, I got a 39. [00:59:27] Speaker A: That is a critical hit. [00:59:29] Speaker B: Woo hoo. [00:59:30] Speaker C: I get a card. I don't remember where the cards are or they're there. [00:59:33] Speaker A: The very bottom. The sword and shield. [00:59:35] Speaker C: As a wizard, I don't critically hit very often. I mean as a sorcerer. Excuse me. [00:59:39] Speaker A: Ha. [00:59:40] Speaker C: Okay, phased. The target becomes incorporeal until the end of your next turn. How is that in our. [00:59:47] Speaker E: Okay, they basically. They can't hit us and we can't hit them. [00:59:50] Speaker C: Okay, yeah. All right. [00:59:51] Speaker A: But you do double damage. [00:59:53] Speaker C: All right, damage. [00:59:55] Speaker A: Oh. [00:59:56] Speaker C: 34 times to 68. [00:59:59] Speaker E: 68 cold damage. [01:00:00] Speaker F: Oh. [01:00:01] Speaker C: 68 cold damage. [01:00:02] Speaker A: Oh, uh, okay, hold on. I need to. [01:00:08] Speaker B: That's fun. [01:00:09] Speaker F: Shawn has to do weakness math now. [01:00:13] Speaker A: Slowed. It is slowed by cold. Okay, okay, uh, hold on. Um, I have a bunch of things I need to figure out here. I was not expecting a creature to become incorporeal. Okay. All right. So this one is incompo in. Corporeal takes 68 points of damage and is slowed. One. Okay. And is. Now I'm just gonna make it invisible because you can't hit it and it can't hit you. [01:00:45] Speaker F: Well, I wouldn't say that if we have. [01:00:47] Speaker E: If we have force damage or something we can hit. It's got like, we've got ghost touch. We can hit it. [01:00:51] Speaker F: Yep. [01:00:52] Speaker A: Oh, that's right. [01:00:53] Speaker F: That's why. Okay, well, can you remind me cuz I know they're gonna go, but then my turn is after that. Were they immune to positive damage? [01:01:00] Speaker E: Uh, they're into healing. [01:01:02] Speaker A: They're immune to healing and magic. [01:01:04] Speaker F: But not positive. [01:01:06] Speaker E: Well, not specifically. [01:01:09] Speaker A: Is it because I have it magical, it's alchemical. Oh yeah, that would work. [01:01:15] Speaker F: Okay, cool. Because I have infinite moderate ghost charges that do positive damage specifically to incorporeal things. [01:01:23] Speaker A: Oh boy. Well, before we get to do that. [01:01:26] Speaker F: Yes, they get to go. [01:01:26] Speaker A: How many actions was that? Well, how many actions was that? Knife, sword? [01:01:30] Speaker C: Um, two. [01:01:32] Speaker A: That was only two actions. So you. Oh, you moved and you, and you. [01:01:35] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:01:35] Speaker A: Three actions frozen. [01:01:36] Speaker C: Yep. [01:01:37] Speaker A: Yeah. All right, well, it is now. The. The slow is the slowed one. Yes, the slowed one. It is his turn. Oh, Rob, I need you to roll two d six for me. [01:01:54] Speaker C: Six. [01:01:55] Speaker A: It is slowed for six rounds. Slowed one for six rounds. [01:02:02] Speaker E: Okay. [01:02:02] Speaker A: And just to remind everyone, slowed means I lose one action, right? [01:02:10] Speaker E: Yep. [01:02:10] Speaker A: All right, so I only get two actions now, which is garbage. I don't like that at all. You know what? I don't like it so much. We're done for today. That's it. We're done. We're picking this up next week while I can figure out what to do. Jerks. Thank you for listening to the Crack Die podcast.
