[00:00:39] Speaker A: Welcome to the 116th episode of the Cracked Die podcast.
[00:00:44] Speaker B: Man, guys, that last nail biter, I wasn't sure we were gonna pull through.
[00:00:51] Speaker A: Rar. You have too much combat. Rare now. You have too much role playing.
[00:00:56] Speaker B: Yeah, I never said that.
[00:00:58] Speaker C: Who are you talking about?
[00:01:00] Speaker D: I don't.
[00:01:00] Speaker A: I don't know. The. The Reddit that doesn't exist.
[00:01:03] Speaker B: Should we add it? I feel like there's definitely a cracked. I read it.
[00:01:07] Speaker E: How?
[00:01:07] Speaker F: Isn't there one yet?
[00:01:08] Speaker B: We're so famous.
It's the 13 patrons. We love you all. Hey, you're amazing.
[00:01:17] Speaker A: We love all of them. And even if you're not a patron and you listen our soothing voices every week, we appreciate you as well.
[00:01:26] Speaker D: I'm gonna look it up now.
[00:01:27] Speaker A: Uh oh, there's a crack. Oh, we.
[00:01:30] Speaker D: Hello. Oh, yes, we have.
[00:01:31] Speaker A: Uh oh. Uh oh.
[00:01:33] Speaker D: Shawn, I think you put this up.
[00:01:35] Speaker A: Oh, did I actually create a Reddit?
[00:01:37] Speaker B: Sean made the crack.
[00:01:41] Speaker D: So I just searched the crack die podcast on Reddit, and I think you just did a little, like, shout out on the Pathfinder.
[00:01:48] Speaker A: Two e. Oh, yeah. I routinely post on those sites to be like, come listen to us. Please, please.
[00:01:56] Speaker C: It's a really easy 115 episode catch up. Just play it on eight times speed.
[00:02:00] Speaker A: You'll be through in no time.
[00:02:02] Speaker E: Wait, I'm confused, Sean. Why did you name the Reddit space sticks?
[00:02:07] Speaker A: Oh, um, because it was going to cross over into.
Yeah. It was going to cross over into Starfinder, and we all know that horses don't exist in space, so.
[00:02:19] Speaker C: Not according to brave star.
[00:02:21] Speaker D: Brave star.
[00:02:22] Speaker C: Right.
[00:02:23] Speaker B: I have no context for this, and I'm kind of glad.
[00:02:25] Speaker A: So when we last left, Bravestar is.
[00:02:30] Speaker C: A cartoon from the eighties, which, like, many cartoons in the eighties was, you know, one season of 40 episodes or whatever it was, and then that was it. But just had, like, just wild swings. I feel like the eighties had a lot of, like, wild swings for cartoons, but maybe that's just me.
[00:02:47] Speaker A: Bucky O'Hare, most of them. Bucky O'hare.
[00:02:50] Speaker E: Most of them were 30 minutes. Advertisements for toys, though.
[00:02:54] Speaker C: Yeah, but they were like. So Bravestar was a native american sheriff on the planet of New Texas.
[00:03:02] Speaker D: Hell, yeah.
[00:03:02] Speaker C: Who had a robotic anthropomorphic sometimes. So his horse was like a horse, but then, like, he would, like, transform into an anthropomorphic horse person, and the anthropomorphic horse person version had a blunderbuss that shot, like, lasers.
[00:03:17] Speaker D: Like I said, the best.
[00:03:18] Speaker C: Brave star. Yeah, that was the theme song.
[00:03:20] Speaker B: Fucking wild ride.
[00:03:22] Speaker C: Right?
[00:03:23] Speaker A: I want to know how much coke the thought behind that was.
[00:03:28] Speaker C: Well, then you had stuff like the visionaries, which I think had, I don't know, ten episodes or something, which was, I thought was a great comic or a great cartoon, and someone else thought it was a great cartoon because in 2018. So, like, it was, like, ten episodes in 1984 or whatever it was, or 1987, and then in 2018, someone put visionaries versus Transformers as a comic book series. Like, just pulled them out of the fucking, you know, the ether. So. But they were like. It was like fantasy. And there were good guys and bad guys, and they went to this place to get powers, and they got, like, powers based on animals. So, like, one of the bad guys was, like, a gorilla, so he turned into a big gorilla and beat the shit out of things. And one of the leader of the good guys was a lion. I don't know. Then you had centurions who were, like, in space, and they would have, like, it was all about, like, man versus technology that I could go on.
[00:04:22] Speaker B: Reminds me, for no good reason, about how apparently they were gonna name one of the original Transformers headlamp and they realized they couldn't do that because that is a slang term for when a woman's nipples are hard and showing through headlamp.
[00:04:37] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:04:38] Speaker D: I did not know that.
[00:04:39] Speaker F: In what country?
[00:04:40] Speaker B: Interesting.
[00:04:40] Speaker E: I've heard high beams.
[00:04:41] Speaker C: I don't know.
[00:04:42] Speaker B: I have heard that before.
[00:04:43] Speaker D: I've heard high beams too. Yeah, we've heard high beam.
[00:04:46] Speaker B: I've heard it's either head. Yeah, high beam or headlamp or something like that, where it's just like you're. Yeah, like, when your nipples are poking through your shirt.
[00:04:53] Speaker A: Matt, we're gonna start a spin off podcast where you talk about eighties cartoons.
[00:04:58] Speaker C: Okay?
[00:04:59] Speaker F: I'd give a good look.
[00:04:59] Speaker C: It would be short lived serious.
[00:05:06] Speaker A: We'll put that behind the Patreon pay wall.
[00:05:09] Speaker F: There it is.
[00:05:10] Speaker B: Extraordinary.
[00:05:10] Speaker C: Here we go. So what we can do is we can just, like, have a couple of us. So I'll be on epic episode, but we can cycle through so everybody else doesn't get burned out. And we'll just watch, like, ten episodes of a. Of a cartoon from the eighties, just, like, mainline it and then talk about it.
[00:05:26] Speaker E: Yeah, like, turbo teen.
[00:05:28] Speaker C: Maybe there's more to this than we thought.
[00:05:32] Speaker A: See?
[00:05:32] Speaker D: Can we also add some nineties, early nineties ones too, because there's some really golden ones in there that need deserve the.
[00:05:40] Speaker A: Oh, I'm sure.
[00:05:41] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:05:42] Speaker B: All right, you guys heard us. Patrons on our discord. If you want this, let us know.
[00:05:48] Speaker A: Well, as great as this all sounds, let's jump back to what we're all here for. Pathfinder two e. I thought it was onlyfans.
[00:05:57] Speaker F: Sorry, guys, in the wrong space.
[00:06:01] Speaker A: Last episode, you saved a halfling at the long roads coffee house and found out more information about what is going on and that a bunch of the employees and the owner of the long roads coffee house had been stolen by. Well, I guess they weren't stolen. They were abducted. Abducted? By the Scarlet triad.
[00:06:25] Speaker D: I mean, the whole point of this.
[00:06:26] Speaker B: Is that people aren't property, Sean.
[00:06:30] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, I know. I play all the bad guys, though. So, you know. So then you. You went to Lady Decor's school for girls, found out that it was actually a recruit recruitment joint for a secret assassin's guild, and you now have access to training from the Lacuna fex. Yes. The Lacuna fex. L a c u n a f e x. Next time.
[00:06:59] Speaker C: Lacuna matata.
[00:07:00] Speaker A: Yep.
You left Jasper there because they're going to. Or. The lacuna fex had captured three Scarlet triad members. You have decided with lady Decor to allow them to quote unquote, escape. The students at the school are going to track them down and keep an eye out to see where they go. You left Jasper there so that you can get the information while you head to Tessen Tower, because that is where you found out that the people who are abducted from the long roads coffee house were taken. Matt, I have a very important role, and I'm just going to let you roll this. Even though we talked about lores and recall knowledge last time, I want you to roll a recall knowledge for architecture lore.
[00:07:55] Speaker C: Oh, that's majan.
[00:07:56] Speaker A: I know it is. All right, I see you know something about architecture.
[00:08:00] Speaker C: I do. I do. Okay. Architecture. Not bad. I rolled a ten for a 26.
[00:08:07] Speaker A: Okay, so as you are all walking towards Tessen tower, I'm going to give you some information that you know Twintalen, and you can decide what you want to share with everyone else.
[00:08:22] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:08:22] Speaker A: The Alabaster academy was once the foremost institution of higher learning in Contago. I will tell you why this all relates back to architecture lore in a few minutes. At its height, the university attracted students from across Cheliaks and beyond. Its reputation became sullied when in 4599 Ar, one of the academy's most beloved professor was revealed to be a murderous sadist. The academy worked hard to rebuild its reputation. But today, the school's enrollment remains low, and its glowing reputation is a thing of the past. Today, even with Ravenel's recent upturn in escaping cheliaxian rule. The academy's student body is only one quarter of what it was at its height 150 years ago. Tessen Tower is an excellent example of the academy's decline, one of the several towers that once held student dormitories on the higher floors and lecture hall halls below. Tessen Tower had all but been deserted for nearly a decade before its patrons recently pledged to fund a renovation of the vacant dormitory tower into alchemical laboratories and lecture halls. But as Ravnules rebellion progressed to full independence, the Tassen familys allegiance to house thrune cost them dearly, and they withdrew their financial support from the project. Today, the entire tower is unused and believed vacant by the academy's administration. The tower is made out of Contago's distinct silver streaked stone. It is eight stories tall with a conical tile roof. Stone stairs run along the inside wall of each level. The lower five stories have been gutted and abandoned and contain only unfinished walls, empty door frames, and a stone staircase connecting to other levels.
[00:10:22] Speaker C: But we see this from outside.
[00:10:23] Speaker A: Yep. As you approach the. The tower. Okay, so that is what you know about Tessen tower as you show up.
[00:10:30] Speaker B: Suntal and just casually casing the joint.
[00:10:33] Speaker C: Yeah, so you guys can see the tower is eight stories, but if you look at the structure here and over there, you can see there's no way anybody's living in that floor. So I would say the first five stories are probably abandoned for the top floors. I'm not sure why they started building the tower from the top.
Maybe it's a wizard thing, but that's where the action is. I'd say the top three floors is where we're going to find whoever is located in. What was the name of it?
[00:11:04] Speaker A: Tessen Tower.
[00:11:05] Speaker C: Tessen. T e s s e n. T.
[00:11:07] Speaker A: A n e s s e. Nde. Tassen.
[00:11:11] Speaker C: Tanessen.
[00:11:12] Speaker B: Tennessin.
[00:11:12] Speaker A: Yeah, Tennessin. That works.
[00:11:14] Speaker C: That's. That's. We're gonna find people in Tennessin tower.
[00:11:16] Speaker A: You also notice that the stairs, unlike the rest of the lower levels, have been recently used, so it looks like there's some.
[00:11:27] Speaker C: Some use here. These are. You can see footmarks, old mud. Also, you said this is part of the alabaster academy?
[00:11:34] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:11:34] Speaker C: So that's, like, right near where we were. That's not to the east on the silver row.
[00:11:38] Speaker A: Oh, you're absolutely right. I'm. I'm blond and I get.
[00:11:46] Speaker C: Don't use that.
[00:11:46] Speaker A: I get confused easily.
[00:11:49] Speaker B: Like, that is not very helpful.
[00:11:52] Speaker C: It's just to the south of the long roads.
[00:11:54] Speaker A: Coffee house. Yes. Okay, Matt, you also noticed that the ceilings in on the first floor is about 14ft high, and you can probably guess that the rest of the floors are about the same height.
[00:12:08] Speaker C: Okay. I can probably figure that out from looking at the windows, like how they're spaced.
[00:12:10] Speaker A: The tower contains several narrow gothic windows of leaded or stained glass that are 2ft high and 4ft wide. You can just kind of tell because they are stained glass or leaded, that none of them provide a clear view of the interior of the tower. And the interior doors, you can see the few that are there are solid wood and particularly dense. You could try and climb the tower, if you wanted to, to reach the windows and either, like, try and pry them open or smash them. But that would be a climb check and an athletics check to do that.
[00:12:48] Speaker C: Basically to get to the top floor rather than going up through the tower.
[00:12:51] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:12:52] Speaker B: What if I have a climb speed?
[00:12:53] Speaker A: Do you have a climb speed?
[00:12:55] Speaker B: I do. It's part of the elven background.
[00:12:58] Speaker A: Holy. Okay.
[00:13:00] Speaker B: I took it after all of the mishaps with the ropes.
[00:13:02] Speaker A: Okay. So you would still have to climb.
What is your climb speed?
[00:13:10] Speaker B: 10Ft.
[00:13:10] Speaker A: 10Ft around? Yeah. So you can make your way up there?
[00:13:15] Speaker B: Well, if it's 10ft around or 10ft in action.
[00:13:18] Speaker A: So that would be 30ft, around, 33ft around. Yes. Sorry. So you would definitely need to climb to at least the 6th floor to try and get to where there is stained glass window. So if each room is about 14ft high, it would take you a couple.
[00:13:42] Speaker B: It would take me about 18 seconds.
[00:13:45] Speaker A: Yeah. So you could do that, or you could climb all the way up to the very top, which is the 8th floor, if you'd like, and, you know, break open those windows.
[00:13:56] Speaker B: Look at the group. What do we want to do?
[00:13:58] Speaker C: I mean, you and I could get up to the 8th floor, but the issue would be if we get into the 8th floor and then the stuff from the 7th and 6th floor comes up to us, if we have to retreat, I don't know who's going to be able to get away fast.
[00:14:11] Speaker F: We could flank them. I could come up from behind. Wink wink.
[00:14:15] Speaker C: Right. But being two floors away, I don't know how much benefit that would. I think that it probably would be best for everyone if we just went up through the tower. Normally we're less likely to get pinched in between things.
[00:14:28] Speaker B: Look at. Ooh. Seems like something she'd react to.
[00:14:30] Speaker F: She's grinning. This tower will never not look like a big dick.
[00:14:36] Speaker A: Also, just to remind everyone, everyone has one hero point. Except for knife sword, who has two? How would you all like to go up the stairs?
[00:14:49] Speaker B: Like marching order?
[00:14:51] Speaker F: Yeah, we're gonna walk up them.
Sorry, who wants to go first?
[00:14:55] Speaker C: Twin Talon will go first to keep an eye out for traps and whatever.
[00:14:59] Speaker A: All right, now what's interesting is it looks like these are. These are circular steps. So, twin Talon, you're gonna go first. Who's behind twin Talon?
[00:15:10] Speaker F: Are these narrow steps, like the corridors going up? The steps are very narrow.
[00:15:16] Speaker A: You could fit one across.
[00:15:18] Speaker C: So we're going single file?
[00:15:19] Speaker F: Yes. I will stay at the back. I think that if anything came up from the back end, I'd be a good tank to absorb any blows.
[00:15:26] Speaker C: Mm hmm.
[00:15:27] Speaker F: And fight people off.
[00:15:29] Speaker A: Okay, so who's taking the rear?
[00:15:32] Speaker C: Yeah, she's taking blows from the rear. Yeah.
[00:15:35] Speaker A: Yep. Brianna, knife, sword, Saraya.
[00:15:37] Speaker D: Not sure where.
[00:15:38] Speaker C: I'm probably directly behind me. I would feel more comfortable if there was someone well armored right behind me.
[00:15:47] Speaker D: Sure.
[00:15:47] Speaker B: Yeah, she'll hang out probably closer to cover the retreat because I have Aoe attacks.
[00:15:51] Speaker A: Okay, great. And Tasani, where is Tasani?
[00:15:55] Speaker C: Taysani will, she's just coming up behind. Like, she could just jump down the tower if she wanted to. Yeah, I don't know. I actually don't know what the situation is. But she can fly, so her escaping the tower isn't an issue.
[00:16:06] Speaker F: Can you see through her eyes by any chance?
[00:16:09] Speaker C: No.
[00:16:09] Speaker A: No.
[00:16:10] Speaker F: Okay. But, um, can you speak with her?
[00:16:12] Speaker C: No.
[00:16:13] Speaker F: Okay, never mind. I had a lot of ideas.
[00:16:14] Speaker B: Beastmaster versus familiar.
[00:16:16] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:16:18] Speaker C: She's an animal companion, so we can communicate, but it's not like we can't, like, have a conversation, if that met, if that makes sense. Like, she understands me, like, giving her commands to do stuff, but.
[00:16:26] Speaker F: Right, okay.
[00:16:27] Speaker C: I mean, those are options that I have. I just haven't taken them.
[00:16:30] Speaker A: Yeah. So I've moved you to a new map.
[00:16:33] Speaker B: I see.
[00:16:34] Speaker A: This is kind of the marching order that you're in. Before you get to this floor, however, Matt, give me two thievery checks, please. All right.
[00:16:44] Speaker C: I'm pretty good at that. Is this check vision based?
[00:16:48] Speaker A: Yes. You're searching for traps?
[00:16:49] Speaker C: 31 is my first check.
[00:16:51] Speaker A: All right, so you managed to climb up the first two floors, and as you are walking, as you are going up the trip up the stairs, you notice that there is a tripwire that you manage to see and clear out of the way and disarm before it hits you.
[00:17:10] Speaker C: Okay, great. Do I have any sense of what that would have done? Like, is it an alarm or is it like. Like something that's actually gonna attack us.
[00:17:17] Speaker A: You see that? It is actually. Yes. It is an alarm. You see that? It is connected to a very rudimentary trap.
[00:17:25] Speaker C: String up tin cans.
[00:17:26] Speaker A: Yeah, basically.
[00:17:27] Speaker C: Okay, I will disarm that. And another check.
[00:17:30] Speaker A: He said yes, please.
[00:17:33] Speaker C: I'm gonna use my hero point. Cause that was a natural one.
[00:17:35] Speaker A: Okay, let me take that delicious hero point from you, all right? Go ahead and reroll.
[00:17:42] Speaker C: What the fucking shit? Oh, that's two natural ones in a row. I have a plus 23. A plus 23?
[00:17:49] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:17:51] Speaker E: Can I. Well, can I assist him? Would that help?
[00:17:55] Speaker C: It doesn't matter. Natural one's a natural one. It's not that even that I think that it's 24. I mean, maybe it is, but.
[00:18:01] Speaker A: So I was looking over this the other day. The good news is this is only a regular failure because a 24 would have succeeded. But a critical fail only drops it down to a regular failure. So you're not gonna take double damage, which is good. But this time, you put your hand on the wall to steady yourself. And as you put your hand on the wall, you suddenly start to hear a hiss, and a green mist starts to fill the room or the stairwell. I'm gonna roll some damage real quick.
[00:18:47] Speaker D: Oh, boy.
[00:18:48] Speaker A: It's okay. It's not that bad. Honestly, there are way, way worse traps in this game that should have killed people earlier in the game.
[00:18:56] Speaker C: Like in vases store?
[00:18:58] Speaker A: Yeah. Yep. All right, Twintalon, are you a. Do you have to breathe air?
[00:19:05] Speaker C: Unfortunately.
[00:19:06] Speaker A: All right, so as you breathe in, you take 18 points of damage. As this poison starts to fill your lungs. Please give me a fortitude save.
[00:19:17] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:19:18] Speaker D: And this isn't anything I can liberate him from?
[00:19:20] Speaker A: No? Nope. Because he is breathing.
[00:19:22] Speaker D: I'm sorry.
[00:19:23] Speaker C: Me too.
[00:19:25] Speaker B: Does it affect all of us or just him?
[00:19:27] Speaker A: Well, now that I have, you know, initiative, we're gonna have to roll initiative.
[00:19:32] Speaker C: So my fortitude saves a 35.
[00:19:34] Speaker A: Okay? That is a critical success. So you only take half that damage. Isn't that great?
[00:19:42] Speaker C: Good luck, ladies, with all of your juggernauts.
[00:19:44] Speaker A: Oh, wait. No, it's a critical success. You take no damage.
[00:19:48] Speaker C: Are you sure?
[00:19:49] Speaker A: No, you take half. So you get nine points back. You get nine points back. All right. And if everyone could please roll me initiativo. All right, let's go down this.
Let's go down this list. Saraya, what did you get?
[00:20:04] Speaker B: 33.
[00:20:05] Speaker A: Okay. Knife. Sword.
[00:20:07] Speaker E: 32.
[00:20:08] Speaker A: Briena?
[00:20:09] Speaker D: 31.
[00:20:11] Speaker A: Heidi?
[00:20:12] Speaker F: Ooh, 30.
[00:20:13] Speaker A: So we have a 33, a 32, a 31, and a 30. Matt, please. 34. Or 29. What did you get?
[00:20:22] Speaker C: If those are my options, I'll take 34. But what I rolled was a 31.
[00:20:26] Speaker A: Okay, who would like to go first? Brianna or Twintalena?
[00:20:30] Speaker D: Twin challenge should go first. He's speedier than I am anyway.
[00:20:33] Speaker A: Okay, Saraya, what would you like to do?
[00:20:37] Speaker B: I'm going to assume that I need some kind of proficiency in thievery to try and disarm this thing.
[00:20:46] Speaker A: Um, no, this is a very basic trap.
[00:20:51] Speaker B: Cool. Well, I do have a 17 in thievery. Um, so I'm gonna.
[00:20:56] Speaker C: This isn't disable a device.
[00:20:57] Speaker B: Oh. What is disabled? Device under.
[00:21:00] Speaker A: Oh, it is a disable. I'm sorry.
[00:21:02] Speaker B: I was gonna say I'm trained in it, but I don't know if you need to be an expert or a master to disable things.
[00:21:07] Speaker C: No, you just need to be trained. It's a thievery trained act.
[00:21:09] Speaker B: Yes, so I am trained in thievery.
[00:21:11] Speaker A: It takes two actions to use disable a device. Okay.
[00:21:16] Speaker B: So I can move up and disable. I'll try to.
[00:21:19] Speaker A: You actually see that there are multiple holes in the wall, so you can try and disable it from where you are. Actually don't even have to move.
[00:21:25] Speaker B: Perfect.
Cool. I'm assuming my alchemy won't give me any kind of bonus because it seems like this is poison, but no, this.
[00:21:32] Speaker A: Is just straight up.
[00:21:34] Speaker B: Let's see. It's a 22.
[00:21:35] Speaker A: A 22 will give you one success towards disabling this. Okay, you have one more action. You can attempt to, like, cover your mouth, hold your breath, something like that?
[00:21:47] Speaker B: Yeah, she'll pull something up over her mouth, the nose, just to be safe.
[00:21:51] Speaker A: All right, so it is now the traps turn because I'm using. Actually, it is knife sword's turn. Knife sword. You go before the hazard.
[00:22:01] Speaker E: I'm gonna wrap my pillowcase over my nose and mouth.
[00:22:04] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:22:05] Speaker E: And you said there's holes in the wall?
[00:22:07] Speaker A: There are holes in the wall, yes.
[00:22:08] Speaker E: How big are they?
[00:22:09] Speaker B: I have to know. Is the pillowcase strapped on like a feedback.
[00:22:11] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh, please.
[00:22:13] Speaker A: Yes, it is full of snacks munching.
[00:22:15] Speaker B: Away as he's using it to protect himself.
[00:22:19] Speaker A: They're probably about the size of, like, a dime.
[00:22:24] Speaker E: Okay, I'm gonna tear strips off my robe, and I'm gonna stuff each of the holes.
[00:22:29] Speaker A: Okay. Are you tr. Okay. I'm gonna say that's gonna take two actions to do, and that will give you a plus two bonus to your saving throw.
[00:22:38] Speaker E: Okay. All right.
[00:22:40] Speaker A: All right.
[00:22:40] Speaker E: Is it a fortitude?
[00:22:42] Speaker A: Not yet.
[00:22:43] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:22:43] Speaker A: Oh, well, actually it is now the trap's turn. So everybody give me a fortitude save please.
[00:22:49] Speaker D: Oh boy.
[00:22:49] Speaker A: And knife sword, we're adding plus two to your roll. So Christine, what did Saraya get?
[00:22:57] Speaker B: Saraya got a 35.
[00:22:58] Speaker A: That is a critical success.
[00:23:00] Speaker D: Haya, Brianna rolled a 28.
[00:23:04] Speaker A: That is a regular success. But because of juggernaut, that is a critical success.
[00:23:08] Speaker F: Heidi, who got 26.
[00:23:10] Speaker A: That is a success. Because of juggernaut, that is a critical success.
[00:23:13] Speaker C: Matt, 30.
[00:23:14] Speaker A: 30 is a regular success.
And I was wrong. You shouldn't have taken any damage last time from your critical success. So I just gave you nine hit points back as well. Okay, and Rob, what did you get?
[00:23:27] Speaker E: I got a 21. But then you said plus two points.
[00:23:30] Speaker A: So a 23, that is a regular success. So both twin Talon and knife sword are going to take half damage. So I rolled ten. So you're taking five points of poison damage. All right, that is the tr. That is the traps round. It is now twin Talon's turn.
[00:23:53] Speaker C: All right, so twin Talon will try to disable the trap.
[00:23:57] Speaker A: And don't you have quick disable. Oh no. That's quick. Quick, quick lock pick. Right.
[00:24:02] Speaker C: Quick unlock.
[00:24:03] Speaker A: So it still takes you two actions to disable a trap.
[00:24:06] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:24:06] Speaker A: Gotcha. Yeah. All right, go ahead and roll.
[00:24:10] Speaker C: Wow. I rolled a five for a 27.
[00:24:13] Speaker A: That is a success. That gives you another. You have a total of two successes to disarming this trap. And you have one more action. Saraya, I forgot to say, you also get a plus two to your roll for covering your face.
[00:24:26] Speaker B: I actually get a plus three from the poison resistance, but I critically succeeded at it.
[00:24:31] Speaker A: Doesn't. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:24:33] Speaker C: Okay, so my last action, I guess twin Talon will pull his scarf, the red scarf that he wears around his neck and his portrait up over his face.
[00:24:44] Speaker A: All right, that'll give you a plus two to your fortitude. Save Brianna.
[00:24:50] Speaker D: Ah, I'm at a loss. Mostly because I'm trying to find a way to make this work. Because.
[00:24:58] Speaker B: Yeah, anyway, you can dig in my bag for some of my premixed elixirs because they not only heal, they give circumstance bonuses against poison.
[00:25:09] Speaker C: I mean, she's a juggernaut though. Like.
[00:25:11] Speaker B: Yeah, but not for her, but for like you or knife sword. Or.
[00:25:17] Speaker A: That's it for you or knife sword. Or. Tasani. Tosani.
[00:25:20] Speaker C: The fragile men in the party who don't have juggernaut. Yes.
[00:25:23] Speaker D: Well, and Tasani.
[00:25:25] Speaker C: And Tasani. Hopefully she's far enough.
[00:25:27] Speaker D: Sure. That's what Brianna will do. She'll be like, excuse me, I'm gonna go around here. I think you have elixirs. Yes, yes.
[00:25:34] Speaker B: They're the ones that.
They're red.
[00:25:37] Speaker A: They should be.
[00:25:38] Speaker D: Red potion. That's not a good idea.
[00:25:41] Speaker A: Red potion.
[00:25:42] Speaker D: Reference for another podcast.
[00:25:43] Speaker B: Nope, the glowing orange ones are the fire ones.
[00:25:47] Speaker D: I'll grab that instead. I mean, that's for knife sword.
[00:25:50] Speaker C: He loves those.
[00:25:53] Speaker D: Spicy.
Yeah, she'll. She'll grab the red potion and.
[00:26:00] Speaker A: All right, so you grab healing potions.
[00:26:03] Speaker B: Because that's the magical version.
[00:26:07] Speaker A: Okay. That's going to take all three actions. One, to grab her bag, two to open it, three to find the red potion. Okay.
[00:26:15] Speaker F: Ooh, y'all, it's getting really foggy, and my eyes are tearing up, and I'm getting really snotty, and she runs downstairs and she'll just call me. Call me when it's done.
It's fine. I'll dry off later.
[00:26:35] Speaker A: You know you're trained in theater for you, right?
[00:26:37] Speaker F: Oh, just kidding.
Is there. Is there a trap, like, right next to me, or can I do it through people?
[00:26:47] Speaker A: No, no, there's, like, holes all along the wall. It's like an Indiana Jones, like, pressure paint, pressure plate arrow trap. So there's holes all along the wall so you can literally, like, reach in and try and disable it.
[00:26:59] Speaker F: Okay, my misunderstanding, y'all.
All right. Thievery rolled for 34.
[00:27:07] Speaker A: 34 is a critical success, which gives you two successes on the disable trap. And you manage to find where the gas is coming from and basically close that off, and the gas stops teamwork.
[00:27:25] Speaker F: So that, like, not running down her arm from where she, like, rubbed her nose.
[00:27:30] Speaker B: It'll dry. It'll dry. Um, do you not have a towel or a handkerchief?
[00:27:37] Speaker F: No.
[00:27:39] Speaker B: Do you got a hanky here?
Saraya apparently has, like, a seemingly unending supply of handkerchiefs and rags.
[00:27:45] Speaker A: And is she part clown?
[00:27:50] Speaker B: No, she's just very used to having to keep things contained or wrapped up in soft things or mop ups, spills.
[00:27:57] Speaker C: Also, can you be part clown? I think either you're a clown or you're not. Like, it's not.
[00:28:02] Speaker A: It's a new ancestry.
[00:28:03] Speaker C: Half of your face just painting half your face. Is that what you said?
[00:28:06] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:28:06] Speaker C: Okay, if you keep.
[00:28:08] Speaker A: If, ooh, keeps pulling on those hankies, is she gonna get, like, underwear at the end of it?
[00:28:13] Speaker F: Whoa.
[00:28:14] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm sorry. I was just thinking of Matt's half clown thing. I was like, wouldn't it be weird to listen to someone who was a half mime try to talk to you?
[00:28:21] Speaker B: Do you just get every other word?
[00:28:23] Speaker F: Yeah, who just blows her nose, like a really wet, wet, wet, like, snotty blow. Like, just this thing. And she, like, ushers everyone along. Come on, y'all. Let's get out of here.
[00:28:35] Speaker D: I love it.
[00:28:36] Speaker C: Twintown's gonna take a moment on the landing to use his water skin and wash out his eyes and flush out any.
[00:28:42] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:28:42] Speaker C: Remaining poison.
[00:28:43] Speaker A: Yeah, it seems like once the gas stopped, it was heavier than air, so it sinks to the ground.
[00:28:50] Speaker C: Great. We'll deal with that later. While we're leaving.
[00:28:52] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:28:52] Speaker B: I assume there's no way for me to find the reservoir of this and, like, keep it.
[00:28:57] Speaker A: No, no, there is. Unless you want to start digging through the walls.
[00:29:01] Speaker B: Maybe later.
[00:29:02] Speaker A: All right, so I'm assuming you all continue up the stairs.
[00:29:06] Speaker B: Yeah, sure.
[00:29:07] Speaker A: Okay. Please adjust yourselves. Would be necessary.
[00:29:11] Speaker C: Poor time to leave. I guess we ran into some minor resistance. I guess we should go.
[00:29:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:29:16] Speaker A: Right, so the stairs to your right continue up. But you do see that there is some light coming into this room?
[00:29:23] Speaker C: And what floor is this?
[00:29:25] Speaker A: This is the 6th floor.
[00:29:27] Speaker C: Okay, so this is the first one that I thought was inhabited.
[00:29:29] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:29:30] Speaker C: Okay, great.
[00:29:31] Speaker A: When you get up here, you notice that this is an empty landing with a dusty pile of lumber stacked in the corner. The stairs lead up in the east to the 7th floor. Ooh. You hear three voices talking. Well, I managed to capture this one half orc and tie them up. We got at least three months of work out of him before he dropped dead. Oh, that's pretty good. I would like to see more of us get half orcs. They're good, sturdy stock.
[00:30:10] Speaker B: Shut the fuck up.
[00:30:11] Speaker F: There's some people talking, and they're talking shit about me. I'm aware they're not talking shit about me, but it doesn't matter.
[00:30:18] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:30:21] Speaker C: All right.
[00:30:22] Speaker F: Do I know which direction that they're coming from?
[00:30:24] Speaker A: The sound is coming from inside the house. No, over this direction that I'm pinging. You actually hear it kind of echoing, like they're in a.
[00:30:34] Speaker C: So from the same larta?
[00:30:36] Speaker A: Yes, from the south. Thank you. From the south. Which you. It kind of sounds like someone's in a. In a lecture hall. And you know how voices carry in lecture halls. So that is what you hear.
[00:30:49] Speaker F: There's. There's three dudes. You want to flank them? Let's take them from both sides.
[00:30:54] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:30:54] Speaker F: There. I'm telling you and Brianna, they're up to no good.
[00:30:59] Speaker D: Okay. What. What is our point? What are we doing to. There's a point of order. What are we doing?
[00:31:04] Speaker C: So, uh, ooh. If you want to flank them. And I guess some of us should go in the right door and some of us should go in the left door. Is that what your plan is?
[00:31:10] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:31:11] Speaker F: And we'll murderously rage and murder them.
[00:31:14] Speaker C: Or not.
[00:31:15] Speaker F: I speak. I speak Commonwealth.
[00:31:17] Speaker C: Okay? I mean, they're. They're slavers, so we should probably deal with them so they can stop enslaving people.
[00:31:24] Speaker F: Right, right. It's a good plan.
[00:31:26] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:31:27] Speaker F: But I want them.
[00:31:28] Speaker C: Okay. All right, so I'm gonna go to the door on the left here. You want to go to the door on the right? And then we can split up the group.
[00:31:36] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:31:38] Speaker C: Some on one side, some on the other.
[00:31:39] Speaker F: This worked out well for us before.
[00:31:41] Speaker C: Always split the party, I think, is what the adage is.
[00:31:43] Speaker F: I remember. I remember that.
[00:31:45] Speaker A: So I'm gonna need everyone to position themselves behind either ooh or twin Talon. You, you decide. And then we're gonna roll initiativo.
[00:31:56] Speaker C: And of course, Taysani is following Brianna.
[00:31:59] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah.
[00:32:00] Speaker B: Cause I'm her favorite.
[00:32:01] Speaker A: Ooh, don't like that. Do not like that at all.
[00:32:06] Speaker C: I'm telling you, I use all my good rolls for twitch. I get none of my good rolls on the podcast.
[00:32:13] Speaker A: Surreya, what did you get?
[00:32:15] Speaker B: I got a natural 20 for a 36.
[00:32:18] Speaker A: I need a 24. 36.
[00:32:20] Speaker B: You asked. Wow.
[00:32:22] Speaker A: All right. Hiya. What did Brianna get?
[00:32:26] Speaker D: I don't wanna say. I don't roll very well.
[00:32:29] Speaker A: It's okay.
[00:32:30] Speaker D: Okay. I rolled a 22.
[00:32:32] Speaker A: Okay, that's not terrible. Heidi.
[00:32:35] Speaker B: No.
[00:32:35] Speaker F: Ooh, got a 34.
[00:32:37] Speaker A: Okay. Matt?
[00:32:39] Speaker C: Uh, twintallon rolled a two for a 27.
[00:32:43] Speaker A: Okay. And Rob, I rolled a d 20.
[00:32:46] Speaker E: And I got a 20.
[00:32:49] Speaker A: Okay, well, that's a 20 total, right? Not a yes. Okay, let me. Let me read what you see. At least what Surreya sees, because she kind of has access to this room. Now, this large lecture hall has risers descending toward a small oval floor space against the north wall. There is no furniture in this lecture hall, save for a wooden post, adding to the feeling of abandonment. Saraya, you get to go first. Oh, you see one? Uh, I do.
[00:33:22] Speaker B: I see one guy. He's like, yeah.
[00:33:26] Speaker A: Then that is actually a gentleman. Even though the target, the. The token, is a female token, but that is a gentleman with a crossbow on his back, very close cropped hairdouse.
[00:33:39] Speaker B: Okay. Um, I just. I don't remember if I took something that I was needing to take or not. Uh, so.
[00:33:46] Speaker C: So for our listeners, what. What enemies are in this room?
[00:33:49] Speaker A: Uh, currently, you see one? Well, uh, oh, yeah. Currently, soraya just sees one person. Okay. This gentleman, close cropped hair, their back is towards you, and it looks like they're speaking to someone.
[00:34:07] Speaker B: Yeah. And then who said that there were three? So I do have far lobber. They're 30ft away, which is exactly where I need them to be for my far attack. I'm going to throw a moderate blight bomb at them.
[00:34:21] Speaker A: Okay. Just so you know, at the. At the angle you're at, they're gonna get a plus one for the doorway.
[00:34:26] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:34:27] Speaker A: Is that okay? I just. I just want to make sure you could move.
[00:34:31] Speaker B: If you move back into the room, I feel. Or. Yeah, I guess if I. If I was here, they would. Well, no, cuz if I move back a square, I can't see them at all.
[00:34:39] Speaker A: You can't see them at all? Yeah.
[00:34:40] Speaker B: So you would have to stay there.
[00:34:42] Speaker A: Okay. Just give them a plus one.
[00:34:45] Speaker B: Yeah. And I'm going to also use my calculated splash and see if I can't get a 15 foot cone instead of just one in every direction.
[00:34:52] Speaker A: Okay. Nat fucking 22 1st come first combat roll.
And you crit. Okay, well, let's, first off, let's draw a critical hit card, see what you get.
[00:35:11] Speaker B: Okay. Bomb or spell? The target is dazzled until the end of my next turn. It's called pretty colors.
[00:35:17] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:35:17] Speaker D: Pretty colors.
[00:35:19] Speaker A: So we're going to dazzle them.
[00:35:22] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:35:22] Speaker A: Even with their plus one that they got from the doorway, you definitely hit.
[00:35:29] Speaker B: And then again, the 15 foot splash is two poison. Splash.
[00:35:33] Speaker A: Okay, I will figure. And it's a 15 foot cone.
[00:35:36] Speaker B: Correct.
[00:35:37] Speaker A: Okay, the damage is two d, six.
[00:35:41] Speaker B: Poison, plus two d, four persistent. So I'll just roll the now and double it. Oh, damn. So it's eight poisonous poison off the bat, and then two d, four persistent on them.
[00:35:51] Speaker A: Okay, let me give them some persist persistent damage with a z. Yep. Two d, four. And what, what type of damage is it?
[00:35:59] Speaker B: Poison.
[00:36:00] Speaker A: Poison.
[00:36:01] Speaker B: I'm taking some inspiration from the trials we just went through.
[00:36:04] Speaker A: I mean, fair. Oh, is your initial damage poison as well?
[00:36:09] Speaker B: Yes, it is.
[00:36:09] Speaker A: Okay, good to know.
[00:36:11] Speaker B: Does it seem like they're actually taking the damage?
[00:36:14] Speaker A: It doesn't look like the eight went through.
[00:36:16] Speaker B: Damn. Okay, there's, like, a waste of.
[00:36:18] Speaker A: No, they're dazzled, though.
[00:36:20] Speaker C: They are dazzled.
[00:36:21] Speaker A: And that was one action, right? Yeah.
[00:36:23] Speaker D: Oh, yeah.
[00:36:24] Speaker B: That is one action. Cool. I'm gonna. Then I'm gonna go for the tried and true alchemist fire.
[00:36:30] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:36:30] Speaker B: Because that's always worth it. And that is a 23 to hit.
[00:36:34] Speaker A: 23 will miss okay.
[00:36:39] Speaker B: I'm going to take you drink a mist form elixir, then. Oh, I get sealed for five minutes.
[00:36:48] Speaker A: Okay. That's new.
[00:36:52] Speaker B: I've had it for a while. I haven't used it. So the creature that I conceal from must succeed at a flat check when targeting you with an attack spell or other effect. So.
[00:37:01] Speaker A: Yep.
Cool. You're concealed.
[00:37:04] Speaker B: You said yep for five minutes.
[00:37:06] Speaker A: All right, next up is. Ooh.
[00:37:08] Speaker B: Ooh.
[00:37:09] Speaker F: Is gonna rage, obviously, because she's mad, and then she's gonna sudden.
I'm assuming that they're there about in range of me, I think.
Because my speed is 25, right? I think.
[00:37:35] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:37:36] Speaker F: Yes. My speed is 25.
[00:37:38] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:37:38] Speaker F: Okay. To decide if I wanted, if I. If it was worth doing something else, it's fine. So who's gonna run into the room? Oh, are we assuming that my battle axe is still up, or.
[00:37:53] Speaker A: Yeah, I'll say you.
I'll say you. I mean, you guys are going up, not just like, doo doo doo doo doo. Whatever. I'm assuming you have have.
Yeah. Your weapons out.
[00:38:06] Speaker F: Who's raged? She's gonna run into the room.
[00:38:09] Speaker A: Don't forget, with mighty rage, you can give.
[00:38:15] Speaker C: Give someone else rage. Or there's one other option I think you have.
[00:38:19] Speaker F: I can share my rage.
[00:38:20] Speaker A: Two additional or kip up, I believe.
Oh, no, that's not a rage thing. Um.
[00:38:29] Speaker C: Oh, she can do the come at me, bro or whatever it is.
[00:38:33] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
Come and get. That's right.
[00:38:36] Speaker F: I'm flat footed in damage rolls against me, gain a two plus two circumstance bonus if the creature hits me and it is flat footed to me until the end of my next turn. Not interested in doing that at this time. I am gonna run into the room and start swinging, though I'm not perfect.
[00:38:55] Speaker A: Okay, so now that you're actually in this room, you do see that there are three people in here. The one that is kind of dazed by the pretty colors, a bald headed woman and a which is this one who sees you run in. And then there is a woman with very large armor and a club.
[00:39:20] Speaker F: All right, can I shout to my friends as a free action?
[00:39:26] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:39:28] Speaker F: Y'all. There are some three baddies, one with a club. Watch yourselves.
And I will take a swing against the one that is destined.
[00:39:39] Speaker A: Okay, thanks. Ooh.
[00:39:41] Speaker D: Brian will call it the other side.
[00:39:43] Speaker F: I would like to reroll that, please.
[00:39:45] Speaker A: Would you like to use a hero point?
[00:39:46] Speaker B: Yes, please.
[00:39:47] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:39:48] Speaker F: I rolled a natural one.
[00:39:50] Speaker D: No.
[00:39:53] Speaker F: It was very embarrassing. Hey, guys.
[00:39:56] Speaker D: No, no, no. Luck of the draw.
[00:39:58] Speaker F: 17 on the die for a 37.
[00:40:01] Speaker A: A 37 will hit the dazzled one.
[00:40:07] Speaker F: Perfect.
[00:40:08] Speaker A: Oh, I'm sorry I lied to you. It critically hits.
37 is a critical hit. Please draw a critical hit card.
[00:40:20] Speaker D: Nice.
[00:40:22] Speaker B: We're just gonna keep stacking crits on.
[00:40:24] Speaker F: This one with a battle axe. Is that piercing?
[00:40:28] Speaker C: Slashing, slashing.
[00:40:31] Speaker F: Oh, it's called decapitation.
And oh no, triple damage. The target must be fort tooth.
[00:40:41] Speaker A: Save or die.
Okay, what is your class? DC.
[00:40:48] Speaker F: Class DC is 30 and I have.
[00:40:51] Speaker A: To make a fortitude. Save or die. I hope you die. Okay, my favorite.
[00:40:57] Speaker F: Okay, natural one, baby, let's go.
[00:41:01] Speaker A: That is a twelve on the die.
That could be with a plus 17. Gives me a 29, which is one less as you decapitate this poor, poor Scarlet triad member who was just talking about, you know, how they captured a half orc and worked them to death. Yeah, it's all right.
[00:41:31] Speaker F: I'm a work you to death.
[00:41:33] Speaker A: They're dead.
You hate to see it. So they're dead.
[00:41:39] Speaker F: All right, first kill.
[00:41:40] Speaker A: So that was two actions. One. Oh no, that was all three. That was a rage, a move and a murder. Correct. Cool. My turn. You see, uh, you hear the bald headed woman go. Ha.
As their friend's head rolls to their feet and she is going to move up the stairs, which is difficult terrain. So five, that's actually 515 25. They're going to draw out a crossbow and they are going to load it. And that is all three of their actions.
[00:42:24] Speaker C: I guess if you're just dicking around, your first round is going to be pulling weapons and stuff.
[00:42:31] Speaker A: Yeah, it's gonna really suck. Twin Talon, it is your turn.
[00:42:35] Speaker C: Cool. So twin Talon is going to move to this position. So he moves in the door, kind of assesses the situation and you see.
[00:42:44] Speaker A: A head on the floor like a soccer ball.
[00:42:46] Speaker C: And he will run up next to the. You said it's a woman with a club?
[00:42:51] Speaker A: Yes, the club is over her shoulder. Like the picture. She seems fairly armored. And you're next to the lectern at the base of this hall.
[00:43:01] Speaker C: So Twintelle's going to kind of run in and attack this flat footed individual.
[00:43:08] Speaker A: Oh, let me make them flat footed real quick, you know.
[00:43:11] Speaker C: Cause they haven't had their initiative yet.
[00:43:12] Speaker A: Yeah, I know, jerk face. All right, go ahead and kill this one.
[00:43:20] Speaker C: That seems presumptuous. Oh look, another two for 23.
[00:43:25] Speaker A: That is a miss.
[00:43:28] Speaker C: I have no words for this. This is such bullshit. Okay. And he'll exasperatedly attack again.
[00:43:36] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:43:37] Speaker C: And a two for a 19.
[00:43:39] Speaker A: That will just regular miss.
[00:43:42] Speaker C: Cool. And then Taysani's gonna move. 510 15. So 15 gets her through the doorway. 202-53-0354 okay, so she kind of sails around the room to get on the opposite side that she came in from the club lady, and she's going to be screaming in its face, anticipating Brianna coming from the other direction.
[00:44:08] Speaker A: Okay, well, it is now the lady with the club's turn. She's going to step forward towards. Ooh.
[00:44:16] Speaker C: Onto the corpse of her friend.
[00:44:18] Speaker A: Onto the corpse of her friend. Yes. And she is going to swing her great club. Ooh. Swinging the great club with a ten on the die for a 32 hit. That's a hit. Great. Ooh. Is going to take five points of damage. But what's even better is now ooh is knocked prone.
[00:44:43] Speaker C: That doesn't seem better.
[00:44:45] Speaker A: Oh, I'm sorry. Better for me.
[00:44:47] Speaker C: Oh, okay.
[00:44:48] Speaker B: Rude.
[00:44:49] Speaker A: And then they are going to. They're going to use pummeling fur flurry. I get to make a great club and a kick attack. Taking the appropriate negatives. If they both hit, they combine the damage for the purpose of resistance and weaknesses.
[00:45:08] Speaker C: Is that a single action?
[00:45:09] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:45:09] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:45:10] Speaker A: A pummeling fury. Second great club strike at a minus five. But the thing is, the target must be prone, so. So another ten on the die for a 27. Since Ooh is now prone and flat footed, that is a hit. So she's gonna take 16 points of damage. And here comes the kick at a minus eight. That is a six on the die for a 19, which will miss. And then that's its turn.
[00:45:42] Speaker C: So I have a question. Why did.
[00:45:43] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:45:44] Speaker C: Why did ooh fall down?
[00:45:46] Speaker A: So. Ooh fell down from the club.
[00:45:48] Speaker C: So does club have the knockdown ability effect?
[00:45:52] Speaker A: Knockdown? Yes, it has the knockdown. The monster's last action was a success. The strike that lists knockdown in its damage entry. The monster knocks the target prone.
[00:46:01] Speaker C: So knockdown doesn't take an action because I think it takes monsters in action. It's just like a free trip. Like, you don't have to make the check. You just spend the action, and they fall down.
[00:46:09] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Well, then I could not do the. The monsters last action was a success with a strike. Yes, it is one action. So. Ooh. I'm gonna give you back the damage that I did to you, which was 16. So here's 16 hit points back. Whoop.
[00:46:25] Speaker F: Cool. Thanks.
[00:46:26] Speaker A: Yep. You're welcome. Thank you for catching me on that, Matt. I appreciate it.
[00:46:29] Speaker C: Yeah, I remember that came up previously.
[00:46:31] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:46:32] Speaker C: With someone with a club in this, like, in this book.
[00:46:35] Speaker A: Yeah. All right, Brianna, it is your turn.
[00:46:37] Speaker D: Brianna wakes from her stupor since she is very slow.
And we'll come around 1015.
I'm gonna say she probably has her shield and scimitar out this time, so she'll double move and strike. All right, then next time, I'll do what I want to do initially anyway. Let us do some rolling. 34.
[00:47:06] Speaker A: 34 will hit.
[00:47:08] Speaker D: Beautiful. Take 16 points of damage. That is my turn.
[00:47:12] Speaker A: Okay. Knife, sword. It is your turn.
[00:47:17] Speaker E: All right, I'm going to. How much of this have I heard?
[00:47:21] Speaker A: It's echoing, so you hear a lot of it. You hear the thick. The sickening thud of a head hitting the ground.
[00:47:27] Speaker E: So I know there's a scuffle going on.
[00:47:29] Speaker A: Uh, yes.
[00:47:30] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:47:30] Speaker A: Yes. You also hear, ooh, hit the ground.
[00:47:32] Speaker E: All right, I'm going to. I'm gonna cast mage armor on myself.
[00:47:37] Speaker A: Oh, look at you.
[00:47:38] Speaker E: And then I'm gonna peek into the room. All right, let's see who's who here. I will cast.
Shoot. Sorry. Just be easy. I'm gonna do a magic missile.
[00:47:50] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:47:51] Speaker E: No sense getting too crazy, crazy, crazy right now.
[00:47:53] Speaker C: All right, it's just the first room. I'm sure there's more in here than three dudes.
[00:47:57] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:47:57] Speaker C: Also, mage armor lasts now until the next time you prepare. So it lasts all day. You could literally cast it as soon as you wake up in the morning, and it would just last all day.
[00:48:07] Speaker F: Oof.
[00:48:08] Speaker E: I am really low on spells.
[00:48:10] Speaker A: Yeah, you guys haven't really rested very much.
[00:48:13] Speaker E: Seven damage.
[00:48:13] Speaker A: Seven damage. Boom.
Okay, it is now the top of the next round. But before Saraya, before you go, it is time to end this episode. So you will take your turn when we get back next week.
[00:48:36] Speaker C: I hope the die Willer likes me better next week, because this has really been a bullshit day.
[00:48:42] Speaker F: May the diegoards ever be annoying.
[00:48:45] Speaker C: I'm just gonna pretend I'm the GM.
