[00:00:38] Speaker A: Hello everyone, and welcome back for another episode of the Crack Dye podcast. My name is Matt. I play twin talent on the show first and foremost. Happy holidays everyone. We have a Twitch Twitch tv crackeddie on the Twitch show I run four people, some of whom you may have heard before through the agents of Edgewatch Adventure path. Our next live Twitch show is going to be on January 1. Happy new year. Now, lastly, before we get into the episode, I want to announce that we are going to be taking a very short break from the story. So today you will continue with the main story that we've been going through, age of ashes, and that will resume again on January 6. We here at the Crack Die podcast. I don't think we've missed a week of putting out content for several years now. And as someone who both edited and witnessed my wife editing on our wedding night, I think we need a break. That's a small one for the holidays. Allow us to see our family without having to worry about a looming deadline. So we have content. We're just going to push it back a little bit, allow us to ease into the new year. And then once the 6 January comes, we're back to our normal weekly format for the podcast. In the meantime, on the 23rd and 30 December, Sean's got something planned. He's calling them winterludes. I'm a fan of the pun, so I'll let it go. So just to recap this episode, normal episode January 6, normal episode, the two in between something different. But we will be back, and we'll be back to our normal format soon. And now, episode 109 of the Crack Die podcast statue.
[00:03:12] Speaker B: Welcome to the 109th episode of the Cracked Die podcast.
[00:03:17] Speaker A: Hooray.
[00:03:18] Speaker C: Oh yeah.
[00:03:20] Speaker D: One more to 110.
[00:03:21] Speaker C: There we go. That's tough to look forward to because I feel like 200 is a bit of a ways away.
[00:03:25] Speaker E: That's a long time since before 200. Yeah.
[00:03:28] Speaker D: I have narrative blue balls for something.
[00:03:30] Speaker C: Narrative blue balls. Yeesh.
[00:03:32] Speaker E: I mean, I don't know if I'm looking forward to it, because I'm pretty sure 200 is going to be the Kuja town, realizing the folks they sent out to confront the dragon art coming back.
[00:03:43] Speaker B: That was years ago.
[00:03:45] Speaker F: Yeah.
109 episodes.
[00:03:49] Speaker B: Well, little do you guys realize, this will be the last episode, at least for these characters, because I'm planning on killing everyone.
[00:03:55] Speaker C: Checks out.
[00:03:56] Speaker E: I mean, isn't that your plan every week?
[00:03:58] Speaker F: Yeah. Yeah, that's true.
[00:03:59] Speaker G: Ha ha. I knew you would say that. So I'm planning on taking you out. Yep.
[00:04:05] Speaker B: Oh, well, then dinner. I can't wait.
[00:04:08] Speaker C: Ooh, a ship it.
[00:04:10] Speaker B: Okay, so, some fun facts. I just want to let everyone know that 109 is the 29th prime number. So it is a prime with a prime subscript. 109 is a centered triangular number. 109 is the atomic mass of menthol. Something menthurium.
[00:04:29] Speaker F: And the diameter of the sun is.
[00:04:32] Speaker B: About 109.1 to 109.5 diameters of the earth. So those are some fun facts. Now they're facts.
[00:04:40] Speaker E: I know we're playing an RPG, but you vastly overestimate all of our ability to do mathematic.
[00:04:45] Speaker B: No, I don't. I think Matt's the only one.
[00:04:47] Speaker F: Maybe Rob.
[00:04:48] Speaker B: Matt and Rob are probably the only two who understood the numbers I said or the words I said.
[00:04:52] Speaker G: Have you heard me count before?
[00:04:53] Speaker B: That's true. Okay, so Matt's the only one who understood any of the words I said.
[00:04:57] Speaker C: I'd say heidi, too.
[00:04:59] Speaker H: I felt like adults were talking, and so I just. You know, there were words happening.
[00:05:05] Speaker D: The numbers thing is something I used to do, but no one seemed to give a shit about it, so I stopped doing it. I'd be like, oh, well, just so you know, 49 is seven times seven is seven. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I was like, no one gives a shit. Can we please get to some dice rolling, please?
[00:05:18] Speaker F: Oh, how about this?
[00:05:19] Speaker B: How about this? I got something. This is gonna make oo excited, because it talks about Romans, and I feel that oo would have done well in the time of Caligula.
So, the roman numeral for 109 is Cix.
[00:05:34] Speaker C: Hell, yeah. Kix.
[00:05:37] Speaker A: I thought it was six, which is short for cervix.
[00:05:40] Speaker D: I thought that's where he was going with that. I don't know.
[00:05:42] Speaker E: I mean, that's not a part that you want involved in that kind of encounter, though.
[00:05:46] Speaker H: No, I've seen some weird comics about this. It just gets weird. Guys.
[00:05:54] Speaker B: Hi, grandma.
[00:05:55] Speaker E: Hi, grandma.
[00:05:58] Speaker G: Wouldn't 59 be a better number? Isn't it like l I x?
[00:06:01] Speaker D: Oh, hello. Ooh, well, then we're long past 59 or 159. Sure.
[00:06:07] Speaker B: I just want to point out that I don't know what number super bowl it is because I can't read a my roman numerals that high.
[00:06:13] Speaker E: Well, apparently you can, like, see how often things get googled. And every year around the Super bowl, how to read roman numerals. Spikes blame.
[00:06:22] Speaker B: Uh, especially for Bears fans.
[00:06:24] Speaker D: Oh, I'm not. I don't think that's true. Cause the bears haven't been in the Super bowl for many years, so why don't you shut up as I burn myself? How about that?
[00:06:32] Speaker E: Those are attempted shots fired, and it just. It's more like the gun jammed.
[00:06:40] Speaker B: Okay, well, speaking of gun jammed, who are the bears?
Chicago asks that a lot, too.
Oh.
[00:06:49] Speaker C: Goodbye.
[00:06:52] Speaker B: It's okay. My hockey team is three wins on the season, and we're not doing good. Anyhoozle, last time, twin talon murdered a very lovely slaver demon.
[00:07:07] Speaker D: Slaver demon. Got it.
[00:07:08] Speaker B: Slaver demonization.
[00:07:10] Speaker C: Flavor demon.
[00:07:11] Speaker B: We had a little brief history with briena, and this golem started punching Brianna and Saraya in the face. But then. Then knife sword decided to gravity well. And because I roll like a garbage person, this golem that was laying out damage seemed pretty much untouchable. Got crushed by two sets of crates and is now prone. Ooh. Mounted a guy and started punching him in the head.
[00:07:39] Speaker C: Hell, yeah.
[00:07:40] Speaker F: And we interrupted twintalon before he could.
[00:07:44] Speaker B: Have tasani do anything. So, matt.
[00:07:46] Speaker A: Uh huh.
[00:07:47] Speaker D: So, matt, what to Sonny with tyson is one action. Tyson is going to loop up trying to stay out of this thing's reach as best as possible. It is on the ground, and then she's going to end up next to it there. So she's trying to set up a flank for Brianna. She won't kind of flap and caw.
[00:08:05] Speaker B: Okay, next up is the guy that is between quintallon.
[00:08:11] Speaker D: Really? Ooh, doesn't go next.
[00:08:11] Speaker B: And ooh.
[00:08:12] Speaker F: Nope.
[00:08:13] Speaker B: Ooh, does go next.
[00:08:14] Speaker H: Trying to take my turn.
[00:08:15] Speaker B: I was trying to get an attack in. All right. Ooh. Go ahead.
[00:08:19] Speaker H: All right. Oo is very excited about all this fighting, and she's gonna take another swing.
[00:08:24] Speaker B: Okay, 30. 30 will hit. All right.
[00:08:28] Speaker C: Yay.
[00:08:29] Speaker H: 22 damage dimash.
[00:08:31] Speaker D: I would like to reactive murder now.
[00:08:32] Speaker B: If he's not dead, he is not dead. All right.
[00:08:34] Speaker C: Hell yeah. React to murder.
[00:08:36] Speaker A: I remembered this time.
[00:08:38] Speaker D: 33 to hit his flat foot at AC.
[00:08:40] Speaker B: That will hit that.
[00:08:41] Speaker D: Plus my additional two.
[00:08:43] Speaker E: Six.
[00:08:44] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness, it's so much. 30 damage.
[00:08:47] Speaker B: Okay, he's still alive.
[00:08:49] Speaker H: Who is laughing uncontrollably, like, wildly squealing because she's been hit, and she just, like, is unfazed completely. So she's gonna strike for round two. Okay, 25. That'll hit 17 damage.
[00:09:03] Speaker B: Would you like to describe how you beat this person into death?
[00:09:08] Speaker H: So she's, like, on his back, and she's just, like, beating down on his head. And then she gives one good final blow with both of her fists coming down on his head.
[00:09:17] Speaker B: Boom.
[00:09:18] Speaker H: And his head just explodes outward all over the place.
[00:09:22] Speaker B: Twin Talon, you are showered like you are at a front row of a Gallagher concert.
[00:09:28] Speaker D: Same color and everything. All right.
[00:09:30] Speaker B: Yep, yep.
[00:09:31] Speaker C: Gross.
[00:09:32] Speaker B: Ooh, you have one more action.
[00:09:36] Speaker H: She, like, takes the. The blood off of her and starts, like, licking it.
I love a good shot. Hour in the morning.
[00:09:47] Speaker B: Is that it?
[00:09:51] Speaker H: I don't know what we should do.
Twin Talon, you got any plans for this friend over here who's a little incapacitated at the moment?
[00:10:02] Speaker A: Not before we go and find out what the rest of that combat noise is.
[00:10:05] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. You did also just hear coco. You heard a bunch of crates fall over and a giant stone statue fall and hit the ground.
[00:10:17] Speaker D: Yeah, there's no way that was quiet.
[00:10:19] Speaker H: Yeah, then she's very excited, and she's gonna run for the noise.
[00:10:25] Speaker B: Okay, go ahead and move yourself. Saraya, it is your turn.
[00:10:29] Speaker E: It is my turn. And I've got a couple frost vials, I believe, so I'm gonna try checking them, and since they're moderate, maybe I'll have better look.
Okay, does the 22 hit it?
[00:10:42] Speaker B: Uh, no, it does not. You do have a hero point.
[00:10:47] Speaker E: Oh, and I do? Yeah, let's do that.
Top of the hour. Top of the episode.
[00:10:52] Speaker B: Top of the episode.
[00:10:54] Speaker E: Because I rolled a three, and I can't roll higher than. I can't even hit double digits. That was an eight for a 27.
[00:11:02] Speaker B: That will hit because it is prone.
[00:11:06] Speaker E: Sweet. Okay, so the frost vials do two d six cold, plus two persistent.
[00:11:15] Speaker B: Okay, well, what is your class? DC.
[00:11:18] Speaker E: My class DC is 28.
[00:11:21] Speaker B: I believe that makes the save.
[00:11:24] Speaker E: This one does not have a save because it's just straight up damage.
[00:11:27] Speaker B: Okay, so how much damage did you do?
[00:11:28] Speaker E: Apparently I do three damage and two cold splash.
[00:11:32] Speaker B: Okay, cold. Now, is this. Is this ace? This is an area splash, technically. Cool. Get roll.
[00:11:41] Speaker F: Two d eight for me.
[00:11:42] Speaker B: Sweet.
[00:11:43] Speaker E: Okay, maybe I can actually get a decent roll here.
[00:11:47] Speaker C: I believe in you.
[00:11:48] Speaker E: So ten on two, d, eight. Which is better than three? D. Three on two, d six.
[00:11:53] Speaker B: That looks like it was pretty, in Pokemon terms, pretty effective.
[00:11:59] Speaker F: Yay.
[00:12:01] Speaker B: It is now your next action.
[00:12:03] Speaker E: It is my second action. I'm gonna do it again.
[00:12:05] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:12:06] Speaker E: Hopefully again I can roll better than double digits. No. Nope, that's a 16. I'm assuming that's a critical miss.
[00:12:13] Speaker B: Yeah, it is.
[00:12:15] Speaker E: What the hell? Why can't I roll anything today?
I am flat footed until the end of my next turn.
[00:12:25] Speaker D: That's not the worst.
[00:12:27] Speaker E: Yeah, nothing's very close to me, especially.
[00:12:30] Speaker B: Because your enemy is on the ground and can't really reach you right this second.
[00:12:36] Speaker E: So, Brianna, how are you looking?
[00:12:38] Speaker C: Hmm, that could be better.
[00:12:40] Speaker B: Okay, third action.
[00:12:42] Speaker E: I have to make the healing bomb and throw it at you. And I can't do that in a single. I will do that next time.
[00:12:49] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:12:50] Speaker B: Just throw another bomb. What's the worst that happens?
[00:12:53] Speaker C: What?
[00:12:53] Speaker B: You have a third action? Just chuck another boss file.
[00:12:56] Speaker E: I mean, I'm actually kind of tempted just to see how bad it gets.
[00:13:00] Speaker F: Oh, boy. Do it.
[00:13:01] Speaker B: Do it.
[00:13:03] Speaker E: I'm gonna do it. Cause what the hell else am I gonna do? And that's just what I fucking said.
[00:13:08] Speaker C: I roll an 18 on the plus nine attack.
[00:13:10] Speaker E: Oh, my God. I got it.
[00:13:10] Speaker B: That'll hit. Oh, my God.
[00:13:12] Speaker E: Okay, fine.
[00:13:13] Speaker C: Oh, boy.
[00:13:14] Speaker E: So two d six.
[00:13:15] Speaker C: Cold.
[00:13:16] Speaker E: I'm gonna roll that two d eight. Because it's the same thing.
[00:13:18] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:13:19] Speaker F: Cool.
[00:13:19] Speaker E: 22 damage altogether.
[00:13:21] Speaker B: All right, you see that? Some of the blue lazarite that is in the stone golem starts to, like, shatter out.
[00:13:32] Speaker E: Oh, cool. It is also taking the two extra splash.
[00:13:36] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:13:36] Speaker E: And it's got a ten put penalty if he tries to stand up and move.
[00:13:41] Speaker B: Okay, Brianna, you still only have two actions.
[00:13:44] Speaker C: Cool. So all I really can do is move in and attack because any other spells require more, and I don't have more right now.
[00:13:54] Speaker B: It is flat footed. It is prone. It's cold.
[00:13:58] Speaker C: Good.
[00:13:58] Speaker D: It's cold.
[00:14:00] Speaker B: Cold doesn't really do anything, but it's letting you know how it feels. I'm cold.
[00:14:06] Speaker C: Good.
[00:14:06] Speaker B: Cold.
[00:14:08] Speaker E: Starting to shiver.
[00:14:09] Speaker C: How's a 37?
[00:14:11] Speaker B: How's a critical?
[00:14:13] Speaker E: All right.
[00:14:14] Speaker D: I mean, if you're only gonna make one attack around, make it a crit.
[00:14:17] Speaker B: Yeah, right.
[00:14:18] Speaker H: Fair.
[00:14:19] Speaker C: Just roll high.
[00:14:20] Speaker B: I guess that's the secret to this game.
[00:14:23] Speaker E: Thank you. Thank you. That's so helpful.
[00:14:27] Speaker C: Okay, so for slashing, this is called stand aside. You push the target 5ft. I don't want to. Okay, can I just not. Yeah, you can not do double damage anyway, I feel like it's a dumb thing.
[00:14:42] Speaker F: Matt, correct me if I'm wrong, but could she apply her weapon? Critical specialization.
[00:14:46] Speaker A: We always can. Unless it says critical on there, so.
[00:14:49] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:14:49] Speaker F: What is this?
[00:14:50] Speaker D: It's to make it flat footed.
[00:14:51] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Well, it's already there, so. Great.
[00:14:54] Speaker D: Once it stands up, it'll still be flat footed.
[00:14:56] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:14:56] Speaker B: So it takes 44 points of damage.
[00:14:58] Speaker C: Yep.
[00:14:59] Speaker B: Well, a little less.
[00:15:00] Speaker C: And that's my turn.
[00:15:02] Speaker F: Not. Not too shabby.
[00:15:04] Speaker B: Not too shabby.
Well, it is its turn. It takes five points of persistent damage. No, I'm sorry. Takes two points of persistent damage.
[00:15:18] Speaker F: It rolled a five on its recovery.
[00:15:21] Speaker C: If I can interrupt, can I roll to see if I can shake off my slowness?
[00:15:27] Speaker B: Uh, no, it's not the slowness you're trying to shake off. It's the persistent necrotic.
[00:15:35] Speaker C: Well, there you go.
[00:15:36] Speaker B: So you roll a five to recover. So you do not recover, but you do take five points of damage. Now it is the golems turn, so it is going to attempt to stand up, which will provoke from anyone with an attack of opportune.
[00:15:54] Speaker F: Attack.
[00:15:55] Speaker C: Sure, why not? Okay, let us see.
[00:15:58] Speaker B: 36 will hit.
[00:16:01] Speaker D: It's still only a hit versus flat footed.
[00:16:03] Speaker F: Nope, nope, nope.
[00:16:04] Speaker B: It is a crit.
[00:16:05] Speaker F: I'm sorry. I am so sorry.
[00:16:07] Speaker C: All right, weapon strike. Deal. Normal damage. Oh, for fuck's sake. To one of the target's weapons, applying hardness normally. Can I just, again, ignore that and double damage it?
[00:16:17] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:16:18] Speaker F: Or.
[00:16:19] Speaker B: Or. Because this whole thing is an item, I will let you ignore it. You can do regular damage and ignore its resistance. Or double damage. And will you keep its resistance?
[00:16:34] Speaker C: What do you guys think?
[00:16:35] Speaker D: I should do double damage unless its resistance is 15.
[00:16:38] Speaker C: I agree.
[00:16:39] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:16:40] Speaker C: I agree. I rather keep chipping away.
It would take 30 points of damage.
[00:16:44] Speaker F: All right.
[00:16:45] Speaker C: Minus whatever.
[00:16:46] Speaker B: Yeah. All right, so now it stands up. Does to sonny have a reaction? No.
[00:16:50] Speaker A: No.
[00:16:51] Speaker B: Great. But you know what?
[00:16:52] Speaker D: She does have hit points in an AC.
[00:16:55] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, she does. And I removed the flat footed condition from her for some reason. Why she had it, I don't know, but she is going to get punched in the face.
[00:17:03] Speaker D: I can only assume that she will by critically amount. Yep. Critical hit.
[00:17:08] Speaker B: 41.
[00:17:08] Speaker A: That's a 41.
[00:17:09] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:17:10] Speaker C: I'm sorry.
[00:17:11] Speaker D: It's really okay.
[00:17:13] Speaker B: 74 points of damage.
[00:17:15] Speaker D: Oh, man. How many Pip points does she have? That seems like all of them. She has 65. So that's more.
[00:17:22] Speaker B: Yeah. So she is now falls to the.
[00:17:24] Speaker D: Ground and she's dying too.
[00:17:26] Speaker B: Dying too. I already told you this was gonna be the last episode for some of you.
[00:17:32] Speaker D: No, you said for all of us.
[00:17:34] Speaker B: Okay, well, I'm gonna change that to some of you. I have to take out animal companions first. I'll do it. The golem will then turn to Briena.
[00:17:44] Speaker C: What's up?
[00:17:45] Speaker B: And punch with a 36.
[00:17:49] Speaker C: That'll hit.
[00:17:50] Speaker B: Alright, so 24 points of damage. Would you like to snap any spikes off? You have two spikes left.
[00:17:58] Speaker D: Just a shield block to do that.
[00:18:00] Speaker B: Oh, she does. Okay.
[00:18:01] Speaker C: And I've already taken my.
[00:18:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:18:03] Speaker F: All right, so 24.
[00:18:04] Speaker B: That's not terrible.
[00:18:06] Speaker C: Yep.
[00:18:07] Speaker E: So good.
[00:18:07] Speaker B: You're good, you're good. You're fine, you're fine. It's, uh. It's knife swords turn. It takes two points of cold damage from Soraya's frost vial. It fails its recovery check. And I need two d eight rolled by Soraya.
[00:18:28] Speaker E: Okay.
[00:18:28] Speaker B: And we'll say golems in second edition. No joke.
[00:18:32] Speaker E: Non damage.
[00:18:33] Speaker D: They were always pretty rough. Cause they always had, like, damage reduction, breath weapons, knife, sword.
[00:18:39] Speaker B: It is your turn to make my life miserable. I mean, to attack this creature. Or you can attack the seagull like creature, which is already dying. There's a juicy hero point in it for you.
[00:18:50] Speaker G: Ah, but she's behind the giant thing.
[00:18:53] Speaker B: Yes, but she is bird like.
[00:18:56] Speaker G: But I have to go through him to get to her. So I must burn a hole through him.
[00:19:00] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:19:00] Speaker G: All right, I'm casting, um, chilling darkness, see? And I want to cast it at level five.
Okay, let's see how you like this.
[00:19:15] Speaker B: That will miss. But you have a hero point. Would you like to reroll that? Yes.
[00:19:19] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:19:20] Speaker B: He has two. Well, now he has one. All right.
[00:19:24] Speaker G: Boom. Oh, no. Come on.
Maybe again, one more time.
[00:19:30] Speaker B: Nope. You can only hero point once, right?
[00:19:33] Speaker F: Hmm.
[00:19:34] Speaker B: So that will also miss. So they both miss.
[00:19:37] Speaker D: What was the next roll?
[00:19:38] Speaker B: Second roll, it was a 221.
[00:19:41] Speaker G: Any lower and I'll be in critical fill here.
Okay. Well, that didn't work. Dang it. Um, okay, I'm just gonna move up behind him there.
[00:19:51] Speaker B: Okay. Twin. Hello. All right, suddenly the flapping that you're used to hearing is gone.
[00:19:58] Speaker A: So what?
[00:19:58] Speaker D: Twintelle is gonna move 31 movements through the crates.
[00:20:03] Speaker F: One movement.
[00:20:04] Speaker B: Ah.
As you round that corner, you see Tasani on the ground with a obviously, like, crumpled wings. Broken foot has to be crushed, ribs like.
[00:20:17] Speaker D: Okay, so still not adjacent to it. So Twintalon will take his last action to circle up around so that he is exactly opposite with Brienne and next to Taysani.
[00:20:31] Speaker B: All right, can you please give me a recovery check for Taseni. Maybe it's a flat roll.
[00:20:37] Speaker D: Uh huh. That is a three. So it's gonna fail.
[00:20:40] Speaker B: That is going to fail. Would you like to use your hero point?
[00:20:43] Speaker D: Uh, yeah. Let's say one. So that also fails.
[00:20:46] Speaker B: That also fails. But that will keep the three because otherwise it would be a critical failure and critical failure and increase by two.
[00:20:54] Speaker D: And she would die. So now she's at dying three.
[00:20:56] Speaker B: She is at dying three. No big deal.
[00:21:00] Speaker F: Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh.
[00:21:02] Speaker H: That's me, y'all.
[00:21:03] Speaker B: It's your turn. All right, cool.
[00:21:05] Speaker H: I need to move twice, but I don't see anything. So I'm trying to decide if I.
[00:21:10] Speaker B: Can use sudden charge. I think it's just out of reach for sudden charge because if you move, what's your speed is 25. You can move to here, which is about 10ft away from the golem with a double move.
[00:21:29] Speaker H: Can I pull out my adamantine battle axe?
[00:21:32] Speaker C: Yes, you may, girlfriend.
[00:21:34] Speaker B: Yes, you may.
[00:21:36] Speaker C: Hell, yeah.
[00:21:37] Speaker H: And then I guess that's my third action, right?
[00:21:39] Speaker D: Yep.
[00:21:39] Speaker B: Yep. Oh, this old man stuff I'm just gonna sell later.
[00:21:42] Speaker C: I am.
[00:21:43] Speaker H: You watch.
[00:21:44] Speaker B: Saraya, it is your turn. You are no longer flat footed from your crypt myth.
[00:21:49] Speaker E: Hooray.
[00:21:50] Speaker B: So you just need to roll higher than garbage, which, you know, is what you've been using. Roll.
[00:21:54] Speaker E: Shut up.
[00:21:55] Speaker C: That's not nice.
[00:21:57] Speaker B: It's not, but it's honest. Look, we've made it this far in the book without me killing anyone, really. And I just. I need to kill one of you. Like, I just need to kill you.
[00:22:08] Speaker H: I don't think you need to kill one of us. You definitely want to, though, and that is apparent.
[00:22:12] Speaker F: There is a. To quote.
[00:22:15] Speaker B: Ooh, there is a burning desire in my loins to kill one of you. Cool.
[00:22:19] Speaker E: Well, I'm gonna move 20ft, just skirting the difficult terrain.
[00:22:24] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:22:25] Speaker E: And I'm gonna check a healing bomb at Tosani.
[00:22:28] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:22:29] Speaker A: All right.
[00:22:30] Speaker C: Hell yeah.
[00:22:31] Speaker E: Yeah. Cause I like our resident pterodactyl.
[00:22:34] Speaker C: Me, too.
[00:22:35] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:22:36] Speaker B: I'm just bringing those hags back from the gate.
[00:22:38] Speaker E: No.
[00:22:41] Speaker D: You know what? At our increased level, I think it'd be fine.
And we have an extra ooh.
[00:22:47] Speaker E: Yeah, we do have an extra ooh.
[00:22:48] Speaker F: Now an extra ooh.
[00:22:50] Speaker E: We do.
[00:22:50] Speaker D: We have one additional ooh than we had last time.
[00:22:52] Speaker H: It's short for Aouga.
That's what all the boys call me.
[00:22:56] Speaker D: A ooga.
[00:22:58] Speaker E: I love it.
[00:22:59] Speaker B: For some reason, their eyes bug out real far and their tongues just roll down like out of the mouth, they turn their heads turn into dogs or wolves.
[00:23:08] Speaker H: That's right.
[00:23:09] Speaker E: I'm getting the proper dice amount for a moderate elixir of life.
[00:23:12] Speaker B: Make the moderate the bomb.
[00:23:15] Speaker E: Oh, let me see the. I have to see the item level.
[00:23:18] Speaker B: I think it's too high. I think that's why you always throw the one, the not moderate, the lesser. But at this point, any healing on to sunny is good.
[00:23:27] Speaker E: Is gonna be, is gonna be good. Yeah. I have to do the lesser one.
[00:23:32] Speaker B: Bring her up so I can punch her again.
[00:23:35] Speaker E: I can swear there's like lesser, minor and moderate. I can swear that's why I was looking for the minor. Okay, sorry, the lesser. Okay, yeah, those three D six plus six. Matt, do you want to roll that or no?
[00:23:47] Speaker D: No, your bomb.
[00:23:48] Speaker E: Okay, so three d six.
[00:23:49] Speaker B: And does it hit everyone in the area?
[00:23:51] Speaker E: No, healing bombs are not splashes. Damn.
[00:23:55] Speaker D: Well, she's a bomber. She can control the splash anyway. And it's positive energy. So that would actually hurt the golem.
[00:24:00] Speaker C: Hell yeah, I know.
[00:24:01] Speaker E: Which is actually, I was looking that up and I'm like, damn.
But still, poor Tony over there is gonna get back 15 hit points.
[00:24:08] Speaker B: All right, now she's no longer dying. She is just wounded three.
[00:24:13] Speaker C: Poor baby. We'll get her sorted.
[00:24:14] Speaker E: And that is all I can do because I had to make and throw, which I cannot do in the same action.
[00:24:20] Speaker B: Okay, Brianna, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.
[00:24:25] Speaker C: Brianna's gonna try and remember what was said previously about positive magic or positive energy.
[00:24:33] Speaker B: Yes, Brianna trying to remember or is haya trying to remember?
[00:24:38] Speaker C: Where does one n one begin?
[00:24:40] Speaker B: So Saraya found out that they are harmed by cold and positive. It's five d, ten damage. In addition to spell damage. If it's just a direct attack, it's two d, eight extra damage from area and persistent damage. And it is healed by negative effects and slowed by earth.
[00:25:00] Speaker C: Okay. Either way, what I was gonna do, I was just gonna lay my hands. Cause I. That is one action.
[00:25:06] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:25:08] Speaker C: To lay on hands on the golem stuff.
[00:25:11] Speaker B: Okay, I need to make a fort save.
[00:25:14] Speaker E: Yep.
[00:25:15] Speaker C: 28. For fuck's sake.
[00:25:16] Speaker B: Well, I take half, so give me damage.
I passed with a 30.
[00:25:21] Speaker C: Well, I guess half of that then.
[00:25:23] Speaker B: Yes, but it is a direct positive spell, so can you roll me five d ten?
[00:25:28] Speaker E: Oof.
[00:25:29] Speaker C: Sure. 25.
[00:25:31] Speaker B: All right. It starts to like, you just see parts of stone start to crumble away and it's starting to fall apart as this positive energy rushes through it. And that was what?
[00:25:46] Speaker F: One action?
[00:25:47] Speaker C: One action. Okay, got one more positive and good are not the same. Correct?
[00:25:52] Speaker B: Correct.
[00:25:53] Speaker C: All right, I'll just slash it, I guess, since I can't do it again.
[00:25:56] Speaker B: Right.
[00:25:57] Speaker C: Your second attack at a 36.
[00:25:59] Speaker B: Draw your crit card.
[00:26:01] Speaker C: Flat blade. Thwack. Triple damage. You can deal bludgeoning damage instead of slashing damage. Does bludgeoning seem to work better?
[00:26:09] Speaker B: No. And it's all physical damage.
[00:26:11] Speaker C: Okay, let me just roll regular damage, and then we can triple it. So 18 times three. Three. So 52.
[00:26:17] Speaker D: 54. Yep.
[00:26:18] Speaker C: Sorry, it's 54.
[00:26:19] Speaker F: 54.
[00:26:20] Speaker B: Would you like to describe your kill?
[00:26:22] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:26:23] Speaker C: Where's this lazerite? Is it, like, fragmenting within its chest? Can you describe it?
[00:26:28] Speaker B: Yeah. So this is a really cool looking stone golem. You see, the lazarite is actually infused all over, running through the golem, almost.
[00:26:39] Speaker F: Like a circulatory system.
[00:26:41] Speaker B: So there's just this blue glowing flecks throughout this whole thing.
[00:26:46] Speaker C: Okay. I think Brianna would have touched it for positive, maybe seen that there's some fragmentation within the chest. She sees the opportunity and thinks, ah, this is akin to a heart, and will drive her scimitar through the lazarid in its chest to the hilt and begin to twist as. As the golem starts to crumble around her weapon.
[00:27:11] Speaker B: Et voila. As you plunge your scimitar into this lazarite heart looking thing, you see the energies within it fade as it crumbles down. And once its head falls off, you see behind it written in a unknown to you scribe what looks like command words. And it is cool.
[00:27:35] Speaker C: Cool.
[00:27:35] Speaker B: Dead and combat.
[00:27:38] Speaker C: Do do awesome. I'm guessing I'm still slow.
[00:27:40] Speaker B: Regardless, it lasts for a minute. So once combat ends, everything kind of just stops?
[00:27:46] Speaker D: Yeah, very quickly. You'll be done with that.
[00:27:48] Speaker B: You take six more damage, but then you recover.
[00:27:51] Speaker C: Owie.
[00:27:52] Speaker D: Twintallon is going to start to patch up. Taysani.
[00:27:56] Speaker C: I was just coming over to help as well.
[00:27:59] Speaker D: That would be much appreciated.
[00:28:00] Speaker A: Let me help you.
[00:28:01] Speaker D: So you're much better at it than me?
[00:28:03] Speaker E: Sure.
[00:28:04] Speaker C: If I only remember how this worked.
[00:28:06] Speaker D: So it's. It's a medicine check. It takes ten minutes. I can assist, which is what I'm going to do, rather than me be the primary, since you're much better at it than me.
[00:28:15] Speaker C: The DC was 20. Correct?
[00:28:17] Speaker D: Correct.
[00:28:18] Speaker C: So I believe I critically succeed. Succeed. Wow. I critically succeeded with a 34.
[00:28:25] Speaker B: So treat wounds at that level is going to be four d eight, plus 30.
[00:28:35] Speaker C: 49 points of healing back.
[00:28:38] Speaker A: Awesome.
[00:28:38] Speaker D: For Taysani, Talon's like, yay. Okay, good.
There's no way I.
Even if I helped. That wouldn't have mattered.
[00:28:47] Speaker A: So thank you. Thank you, my friend.
[00:28:50] Speaker C: Of course.
[00:28:51] Speaker B: All right, so. Ooh, you're very tired after that combat. What would you like to do?
[00:28:56] Speaker H: I thank y'all.
I may have a broken rib right now, so I'm just gonna take a little nippity nap over here, and if y'all want to come join me, you may. But I'm just gonna. I'm just gonna lay down for a little bit. And then she walks over, and she, like, curls up at a ball and.
[00:29:12] Speaker E: She goes to sleep.
[00:29:13] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:29:14] Speaker E: Saraya's gonna whistle for Jasper.
[00:29:16] Speaker C: Briana will continue to heal whoever needs healing. So if she'll look over twin Talon, since he's right here first. How is he looking?
[00:29:25] Speaker D: He is not at 100%, but he's still better off than Taysani is.
[00:29:29] Speaker C: Is Tasani not at full yet?
[00:29:30] Speaker D: She is not, no.
[00:29:31] Speaker C: Okay. I'll keep going then. There we go again.
[00:29:34] Speaker D: That's another crit.
[00:29:35] Speaker E: Yep.
[00:29:36] Speaker C: Another 54 points of healing. Okay.
[00:29:39] Speaker B: Blood shoots out of her mouth because she has so much extra.
[00:29:43] Speaker F: Now, next.
[00:29:46] Speaker B: Knife. Sword. What are you doing?
[00:29:48] Speaker G: Just looking around, seeing what's in these crates, seeing if there's anything useful or tasty.
[00:29:53] Speaker F: Sure.
[00:29:54] Speaker B: Let's see. You find a runestone that's glowing.
Actually, you find two runestones and what looks like a medallion. But are they tasty as you put.
[00:30:11] Speaker F: Them in your mouth?
[00:30:11] Speaker B: Knife, sword. To taste them, one of them gives you a nice little, like. I don't want to say shock, because I feel like that would make you.
[00:30:19] Speaker F: Think they're electric, but they're just.
[00:30:20] Speaker B: There's a little zest and a little pick me up. When you bite the first one, the second one tastes like a mushroom from the underdark.
And the other, the talisman, just gives you a real iron taste, like a beet.
[00:30:41] Speaker D: Is it like beets by Dre?
[00:30:43] Speaker F: Yes.
[00:30:44] Speaker B: Shrews.
[00:30:44] Speaker G: I'm gonna make a soup out of these. So I'm gonna cast, I think. Don't I have, like, an identif? Detect magic.
[00:30:51] Speaker D: Use that. Detect magic to identify. It's the same, ah, process.
[00:30:55] Speaker G: All right, I'd like to cast that. Do I have to do it specifically, or is it just like, it's on or off type deal.
[00:31:01] Speaker B: Um, we kind of just, like, ignore the. How it's supposed to work because it's silly at this point.
[00:31:08] Speaker G: Okay.
[00:31:09] Speaker B: It takes, like, 20 minutes to identify an item. Okay, so I'm gonna do this. Give me a arcana or occultism or nature or religion role. And if it's high enough. I'll just tell you everything.
[00:31:25] Speaker F: How's that sound?
[00:31:26] Speaker G: Okay, here goes. Occultism 30.
[00:31:29] Speaker B: Yeah, you knock it out of the park. So the first thing, the one that kind of gave you a little, like, zip is a plus two weapon potency. Runestone.
[00:31:40] Speaker D: Very nice.
[00:31:41] Speaker G: All right.
[00:31:42] Speaker F: We know what that is, right?
[00:31:43] Speaker B: Okay, good.
[00:31:44] Speaker F: The next one.
[00:31:46] Speaker B: The one that tastes like a mushroom from the underdark. Now, when I tell you this, Matt, I need you to stay calm.
[00:31:53] Speaker D: I will not. But continue.
[00:31:55] Speaker B: It is a greater shadow armor runestone.
[00:32:04] Speaker A: Honey?
[00:32:05] Speaker B: Yes?
[00:32:05] Speaker A: Where are my pants?
[00:32:06] Speaker D: Where do we keep my pants?
[00:32:09] Speaker E: You don't know where you keep your own.
[00:32:11] Speaker D: I don't know where I keep my own pants.
For the purpose of this joke, I don't.
Greater shadow armor.
[00:32:21] Speaker B: Rune armor. Rune. Yes. So, Matt.
[00:32:24] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:32:25] Speaker B: I mean, anyone can take this. This route.
[00:32:28] Speaker E: It's gonna be.
[00:32:29] Speaker D: Yeah. We'll decide which is best for the.
[00:32:30] Speaker B: Group usage etched onto light or medium non metallic armor.
[00:32:35] Speaker D: Okay. Okay.
[00:32:36] Speaker B: Armor with this rune becomes hazy black. You gain a plus two item bonus to stealth checks while wearing the armor. That's. It helps you hide.
[00:32:48] Speaker A: It does.
[00:32:49] Speaker D: But the thing is, for someone like Twintalon, who uses stealth for initiative a lot, that also gives me a two to initiative in addition to the two to stealth.
[00:33:00] Speaker B: So you can do whatever you want with it.
[00:33:01] Speaker G: You still won't have a better initiative than I do.
[00:33:03] Speaker D: I mean, my bonus. See, my goal is, though, to get.
[00:33:07] Speaker A: A bonus that's 20 higher than rob.
[00:33:10] Speaker D: So he will stop beating me at initiative even though my bonus is much higher than his.
[00:33:16] Speaker B: And then the last thing you found is called an iron medallion talisman. This small medallion is shaped like a shield.
[00:33:26] Speaker F: When you activate it, you gain plus.
[00:33:28] Speaker B: Two status bonus to saves against fear for 1 minute on the triggering save.
[00:33:33] Speaker F: If the outcome of your roll is a failure, you get a success instead. Or if the outcome is a critical.
[00:33:38] Speaker B: Failure, you get a regular failure instead.
[00:33:41] Speaker D: That's nice.
[00:33:41] Speaker G: Cool.
[00:33:42] Speaker D: It's almost like the old paladin.
[00:33:44] Speaker E: Yeah. Aura of courage.
[00:33:45] Speaker D: Aura of courage.
[00:33:46] Speaker G: Hey, guys. Look what I found.
[00:33:49] Speaker B: Uh, that's.
[00:33:50] Speaker C: That's nice. Twin talon, you want to go see while I finish up with tasani and whoever else needs healing?
[00:33:54] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:33:55] Speaker A: Yeah, thanks.
[00:33:55] Speaker D: And twin talon will kind of give Tasani a pat in the head and he'll head over.
[00:34:01] Speaker A: She likes me more.
[00:34:02] Speaker D: I know. It's fine. I was gonna say that after getting healed, she crawls up on Twintalon's back and is like, riding on his back. But I realized that if she does anybody, she would do it to Brianna instead.
[00:34:13] Speaker E: We're talking like, I'm not fooling much. Are we talking like Yoda style?
[00:34:16] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:34:17] Speaker D: So this is an experience I had with my dog, where my dog comes to find out doesn't like water at all. She doesn't like swimming. She can very well do without that shit. So when in a pool, she climbed up on me like, it was like a. I was a buoy, basically.
And, yeah, I mean, luckily we weren't in very deep water or she would have just, you know, the way mass and displacement works. She would have pushed me under, basically. But basically, she's climbed up on my back. So I imagine a creature with big old wings could grab on somebody's back and little feet.
Yeah, that's probably Brianna's second backpack, buddy. Now.
[00:34:55] Speaker C: Oh, boy.
[00:34:56] Speaker E: Sunny is actually there to stop knife sword from getting in the backpack.
[00:35:01] Speaker D: But anyway, so twin Talon will head over to see what nice sword has found. They'll be like, yeah, buddy.
[00:35:05] Speaker G: Wah.
[00:35:05] Speaker D: What's.
He probably saw them putting them in his mouth, just licking them obscenely with this giant goblin mouth and tongue. Um. Like, yeah, buddy, what. What you got there?
[00:35:15] Speaker G: Here. This one tastes like you.
[00:35:18] Speaker A: Oh, boy.
[00:35:19] Speaker D: Thanks.
[00:35:19] Speaker E: That's a phrase I gave him.
[00:35:23] Speaker C: How would you know what he tastes like?
[00:35:25] Speaker E: You don't know what he does when we sleep.
[00:35:27] Speaker G: I know what you all taste like. Okay. Um.
[00:35:30] Speaker C: Oh, boy.
[00:35:31] Speaker D: He's like Batman, right? Like he has a plan for everybody. So, you know, he tastes us all in our sleep to make sure he understands who we are.
[00:35:41] Speaker G: Yes. At one time or another, you've all woken up with a very moist big toe.
[00:35:45] Speaker E: Oh, that just made it worse.
Why did that make it so much worse?
[00:35:52] Speaker G: So, yes. I gave him the shadow, shadowy mushroom tasting one. It tastes like mushrooms. It'll go well with your night pecan aftertaste.
[00:36:03] Speaker D: Wow. I don't know how to take that, but okay, so twin town will take it. I mean, runes take time to install, so. And that's not even something you do, so you'd have to have someone do it.
[00:36:17] Speaker G: Are you heading over in ooze direction?
[00:36:19] Speaker D: I mean, I can. I was just kind of seeing what you found. If it was anything interesting, I think.
[00:36:23] Speaker G: This will work out for her. It tastes like.
[00:36:26] Speaker C: I don't know.
[00:36:27] Speaker G: It's spicy.
[00:36:29] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:36:30] Speaker E: He's just watching this. Just like.
[00:36:32] Speaker G: I don't know who to give this other one to.
[00:36:34] Speaker D: Well, I trust you to make the best decision.
[00:36:36] Speaker C: No. I love their friendship so much.
[00:36:39] Speaker G: All right, let's see. I'm gonna walk up behind Brianna, what's up? Quietly, like, try to sneak up behind you.
[00:36:46] Speaker C: Oh, I'm busy healing, so.
[00:36:48] Speaker H: Sure.
[00:36:48] Speaker G: And I'm just gonna go.
[00:36:50] Speaker C: She decapitates now.
[00:36:54] Speaker B: I didn't have to do anything.
[00:36:59] Speaker C: I feel like I don't know what she would do. I think she would jump to the point of defending herself. So I guess, yes.
She'd probably turn and kind of, hopefully, at the last minute, stop her hand. So it's just short.
[00:37:15] Speaker G: Well, I am short. You probably would go over my head.
[00:37:19] Speaker C: There you go.
[00:37:21] Speaker B: Hmm.
[00:37:23] Speaker H: Okay.
[00:37:23] Speaker G: Be right back.
[00:37:25] Speaker C: What?
[00:37:25] Speaker G: I'm going to. Then I'm going to sneak over to where Saray is. Like, sneak up behind her.
[00:37:30] Speaker C: Oh, no.
[00:37:33] Speaker E: She just looks over her shoulder, like petting Jasper, like. Yes.
[00:37:37] Speaker C: Hmm.
[00:37:38] Speaker G: Okay, I'm gonna walk over. Back to Brianna. You need this more. Give her the medallion.
[00:37:42] Speaker A: All right.
[00:37:43] Speaker E: We love it.
I also like that. Like, Saraya definitely had the benefit of, like, hearing this happen the first time. It's just like, it's my source.
[00:37:55] Speaker B: Now, don't forget, there is a person tied up in the back corner.
[00:38:00] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, I guess.
[00:38:01] Speaker C: Well, I don't know.
[00:38:01] Speaker E: This. Oh, yeah, I don't. I don't know.
[00:38:03] Speaker D: Right.
That probably would dawn on twin Talon after standing everyone.
[00:38:07] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:38:08] Speaker C: What is it?
[00:38:09] Speaker D: I'll be right back.
[00:38:10] Speaker A: There's a guy.
[00:38:11] Speaker D: There's a guy tied up back here.
[00:38:12] Speaker B: What?
[00:38:12] Speaker C: And so follow along. Just be like, there's a what now?
[00:38:15] Speaker E: How did you forget about.
[00:38:16] Speaker A: I heard that there was a demon and another guy torturing him, and when.
[00:38:21] Speaker D: I took care of them, but then we heard the big crash bang out here, and we came running, so, uh, yeah, it kind of slipped my mind.
[00:38:29] Speaker E: But let's go see what's.
[00:38:30] Speaker D: And all the confusion.
[00:38:31] Speaker E: You see what's happening with that poor gentleman at this point?
[00:38:34] Speaker A: All right.
[00:38:35] Speaker E: Uh, yeah, she'll go off with the talent to do that.
[00:38:37] Speaker F: Okay, so as you head back there.
[00:38:40] Speaker B: You see a male halfling, tied up, gagged, overall, not in good shape.
[00:38:46] Speaker D: Okay, uh, Twintalon will remove his bindings and ungag him.
[00:38:51] Speaker F: Oh. Oh, thank you so much, Desna. Help me. But. But I. I told them everything. Ah. Everything. I've wrecked the bellflower network.
[00:39:02] Speaker B: Oh.
[00:39:03] Speaker F: Oh, they're gonna go after. After all my friends. They're doomed. Doomed. Doomed. How. How horrific. How. How horrific. How unthinkable of me.
[00:39:14] Speaker E: Can I. Can I make, like, a diplomacy check or something to calm him down?
[00:39:17] Speaker F: Yes.
[00:39:18] Speaker B: Yes, you.
[00:39:18] Speaker E: May 29.
[00:39:19] Speaker B: All right. Yeah, that.
[00:39:20] Speaker F: That'll.
[00:39:20] Speaker B: That'll. That'll do.
That'll do.
[00:39:24] Speaker F: Oh, oh, I'm sorry, but I'm just. I'm very concerned. Please, please save my friends from my betrayal.
[00:39:32] Speaker E: Let's. Let's start with your name, and then you can tell us whatever else is going on.
[00:39:37] Speaker F: Okay? Um. Great. Okay. My name is Hundi Vasht, and I.
[00:39:44] Speaker B: Just shared a picture of the halfling.
[00:39:47] Speaker E: Look at those mutton.
[00:39:48] Speaker F: Charles, I am very concerned about my friends from the bellflower network.
If they get killed, their blood will be on my hands. Hum.
[00:39:58] Speaker E: Okay, and you told the Scarlet Triad, I assume?
[00:40:01] Speaker F: Yes, they were torturing me for information on key operating sites for the network. I unfortunately told them three of them.
[00:40:12] Speaker B: And as you're looking at this halfling, it doesn't show on the picture, but he has a black eye. His nose is quite clearly broken. He is missing the nails from at least six of his fingers.
[00:40:25] Speaker E: This. Yeah, they were not getting around.
[00:40:28] Speaker B: No, there are. At least two of his toes are broken. And it kinda looks like they were. Like, after you recover him and everything. As you look around a bit more, you notice that there is a rack like torture device that looks like it has been recently used, as there is.
[00:40:46] Speaker F: Blood on the ground around it. So I only told them of three of them.
How many people were here?
[00:40:58] Speaker A: There were the two people that were torturing you. A big statue. And there was a lady out front who has gone somewhere, not sure where.
[00:41:05] Speaker F: Yeah, the lady was forced into helping them, I guess, but.
[00:41:10] Speaker B: Oh, um, you see his eyes kind of grow wide again, and. And you see the panic starting to, like, rear its head again.
[00:41:19] Speaker F: There were at least a dozen Scarlet triad agents here recently, and. And if there were only two, uh, I'm concerned that they've already left to. To attack those three sites.
I'm hoping that there's a way you can save them before attacks take place.
[00:41:37] Speaker B: But he looks like he's about to.
[00:41:39] Speaker F: Puke out of fear.
[00:41:41] Speaker B: He's very pale, poor buddy.
[00:41:42] Speaker A: So just pretend for a moment that we're not from here. What's the Bellflower network?
[00:41:49] Speaker F: So, Bellflower network, at its core, is an abolitionist group. If you would like to know more, please give me a society role.
[00:41:58] Speaker B: If you know things about secret societies.
[00:42:01] Speaker E: I do.
[00:42:02] Speaker B: You may add that bonus.
[00:42:04] Speaker D: Yeah, Twinsalin got a 27, right?
[00:42:05] Speaker F: So between the two of you, you know, the. The Bellflower network is a well established.
[00:42:11] Speaker B: Secret society dedicated to the freeing of halfling slaves. These slaves usually hail from Cheliacs, a.
[00:42:21] Speaker F: Country in which halfling slaves are specially prized and numerous. The network maintains its own coded languages and uses a blue bellflower as its symbol. The ultimate goal of the bellflower network is the freedom of all halfling slaves in all countries.
[00:42:38] Speaker B: But pragmatically, the current focus is on Cheliaks from that country. Roots have been created that run to Andorin and Rahadou.
[00:42:51] Speaker F: R a h a D o U M. For secret transportation of freed slaves.
[00:42:56] Speaker B: Secrecy is maintained by allowing members to.
[00:43:00] Speaker F: Only know their immediate contacts.
[00:43:02] Speaker B: So any information gained by enemies from.
[00:43:04] Speaker F: Captured members is limited. The network has no discernible headquarters, but.
[00:43:09] Speaker B: There are places where members meet regularly, in secret. The organization dates back to just after.
[00:43:16] Speaker F: The collapse of the empire of Cheliaks.
[00:43:18] Speaker B: When this disruption caused by those events gave the opportunities for halflings to escape their masters. That is what, you know, you said.
[00:43:26] Speaker D: That the bellflower network was built to free halfling slaves. Do they help other types of slaves?
[00:43:31] Speaker F: Yes.
[00:43:32] Speaker B: Yes. Their primary goal right now is halfling slaves from Cheliaks. But any and all slave, they. They're overall a. Yeah, they're a network.
[00:43:43] Speaker E: That'S, you know, they're an underground railroad, essentially.
[00:43:46] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:43:46] Speaker D: I just thought it'd be weird to have a network that, like, if there was a line of people chained up, they're like, you get free. Not you. Not you. Not you. You get free. Like, I think that probably.
[00:43:56] Speaker B: No, no, no.
[00:43:57] Speaker A: Bad practice.
[00:43:59] Speaker B: They're overall an abolitionist organization. But, you know, halflings from chaliacs are, like, the biggest concern.
[00:44:06] Speaker D: They have the focus. Yeah. Gotcha.
[00:44:08] Speaker E: Yeah, I assume that it's the biggest trafficked group in the area.
[00:44:12] Speaker A: Okay, so what three places did you tell them?
[00:44:15] Speaker F: The three sites I told them are a message dispatch site called Kite Hill.
[00:44:22] Speaker B: A meeting site called the Long Roads.
[00:44:24] Speaker F: Coffee House, and a safe house called Lady Decors School for girls.
[00:44:29] Speaker A: Okay, are there any other bellflower network sites in the city?
[00:44:33] Speaker F: Not that I know of. We're a very secretive group, so I only know those three sites.
[00:44:39] Speaker E: So there's a safe house, a message thing, and a meeting place?
[00:44:43] Speaker F: Yes, a message site, a meeting house, and a safe house. The leader of the scarlet triads in this area was here, and Laslyn scared me enough and beat me enough to get the information out. She is a gnollen, terrifying creature.
[00:44:59] Speaker A: Okay, great. Could you. Aside from being an. Are gnolls common in the city?
[00:45:03] Speaker F: Not really, no.
[00:45:05] Speaker A: So if we see a gnoll, it's pretty safe to assume it's Laslin.
[00:45:07] Speaker F: I mean, I would ask for names, but.
[00:45:09] Speaker B: Sure.
[00:45:09] Speaker A: Does Laslin have any identifying characteristics?
[00:45:13] Speaker F: Uh, yes. So Laslin is a. Is a gnoll. She has light brown fur, a scar over her right eye that looks very white and. And cataracty. That's. That's the best description I can give you of her. She also had a kalashite man with. With her, a spellcaster of some sort, although I didn't quite catch his name. I did overhear that the. The triad agents planned to rendezvous somewhere else in town after the raids on the bellflower network sites. And. And they felt that this safe house for them, sunset imports, had become too visible. I have no idea where this new hideout might be.
[00:45:55] Speaker A: All right, interesting. Did they say anything about where they were going first or.
[00:46:00] Speaker F: They said they would go to all three sites. There was enough of them to split up.
My recommendation would be at least trying to get to Kite Hill first, because that is a way we can send messages. Kite Hill is a very public venue, and I also know that there is a kite flying event happening today. That is also a way that we can hide our messages. We can use Kite to send messages. I'm not very skilled in it, but if we were to get there, I believe there are some other agents around that can help us, that could give us the edge in notifying both the school and the meeting place that things.
[00:46:45] Speaker B: Are a foot or.
[00:46:47] Speaker A: And hear me out on this one. We could split up and attack all three locations at the same time.
[00:46:52] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:46:52] Speaker C: No, no.
[00:46:53] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:46:54] Speaker F: Sounds great. The GM loves that. I hope you all have backup characters.
[00:47:00] Speaker C: I know. Nothing. I'm not listening.
[00:47:02] Speaker D: All right, so this guy thinks that Kite hell will be the best place because we can send messages to the other two once we get there.
[00:47:07] Speaker B: Correct? Okay, but he also. Again, I'm nothing. I'm not railroading you. I don't want to railroad you. That is his suggestion. But he is also not the highest ranking member of the Bellflower network. He is very distraught right now, and all three sites are in danger. And he, seeing how you dispatched of the group here, he is going to let you make that decision. And you can decide in any order that you want.
[00:47:37] Speaker D: Yeah, sure. Why not? Why not?
[00:47:40] Speaker E: He'll do it his way.
[00:47:40] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, if he thinks we could get messages to the other two, that's not a bad plan.
[00:47:45] Speaker E: If it works, where do we have a map? Like, how close are these places? All to each other.
[00:47:50] Speaker F: So I will send you guys. I'll post up this map for you and. Why don't we do this?
[00:47:57] Speaker B: I have an idea.
[00:47:58] Speaker F: It's a new one.
[00:47:59] Speaker B: I don't know if you've ever heard this idea before.
[00:48:01] Speaker F: Take a week, decide the order in.
[00:48:05] Speaker B: Which you would want to go.
[00:48:07] Speaker C: I quit.
[00:48:07] Speaker B: And then you can't. I have a contract, damn it.
[00:48:12] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:48:12] Speaker B: Oh, you didn't again.
[00:48:14] Speaker F: I had knife, sword, get all of your signatures while you were asleep.
[00:48:19] Speaker E: Is that what happens when you suck on someone's big toe? They just, like, reflexively sign something?
[00:48:25] Speaker G: It is known.
[00:48:26] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:48:26] Speaker D: If you didn't know, now you know.
[00:48:28] Speaker B: Now you know. Now you know.
What is this game anyway? We'll see you next week while you all decide to the way to go and how to save the princess. Nope, that's Mario.
[00:48:43] Speaker E: Where to go and save the halflings.
[00:48:46] Speaker B: Save the halflings?
[00:48:47] Speaker E: We're gonna get there and find out they're already halfway to that, dude.
[00:48:51] Speaker G: Save the halflings. Say the whole thing.
