[00:00:38] Speaker A: Hey, guys, it's Haya. I play Brianna Soldado, the human champion of serenre, if you've forgotten. I don't usually sound like this. I usually have a very heavy stealing accent. Thanks, mom. I just wanted to say thank you so very much for continuing to listen to us, to write to us, to give us suggestions every week. It is so incredibly helpful. Thank you so, so very much. I just also wanted to take a minute to remind you that we are still doing our giveaway. We are giving away one copy to one lucky winner once we hit 25 reviews on Apple podcasts. [00:01:19] Speaker B: Oh. [00:01:19] Speaker A: Where will we be announcing our winner, you ask? Well, we have socials. Yes, we do. [00:01:25] Speaker C: Yes. [00:01:26] Speaker A: Please tweet at us, Instagram us, or whatever the kids are doing these days. I have no idea. Point being, our socials are Twitter. We are cracked die or cracketti Whatever is easier for you to remember on Instagram. We're at Crackedie Podcast. Or you can simply visit us on our website at www.thecrackdypodcast.com. Anywho, that's enough from me. [00:01:51] Speaker D: I'm going to throw it back to. [00:01:53] Speaker A: The table for episode ten. This is your sword. [00:01:58] Speaker C: Welcome to the 10th episode of The Cracked Die Podcast. I just want to point out that we've done ten episodes now. [00:02:05] Speaker E: No, we've done nine episodes. [00:02:09] Speaker C: We're in double digits. Well, everyone who has stuck with us for the first ten episodes, thank you. I promise it will only get to be about the same. [00:02:20] Speaker E: That is a keepable promise. [00:02:23] Speaker C: I can tell you that we will maintain where we are or get better, but I cannot promise the better part. [00:02:28] Speaker F: I can also say that it's possible that we could get worse too. There's pretty much a broad range of things that could happen. [00:02:33] Speaker E: It's important to manage expectations. I learned that. [00:02:36] Speaker C: I did. Yeah. I've always learned to always under promise and over deliver. [00:02:41] Speaker F: But you never over deliver. [00:02:43] Speaker C: Well, that's fair. But we've delivered on everything so far, which is over delivering for me, as. [00:02:48] Speaker F: Far as I'm concerned. [00:02:49] Speaker C: And we're ten episodes in. How many people can say they've done ten episodes of a podcast? [00:02:54] Speaker F: How many people can say they've done ten episodes of a Pathfinder second edition podcast of the Age of Ashes? AP? [00:03:00] Speaker E: Not many currently. [00:03:02] Speaker F: We're, like, the only ones. [00:03:03] Speaker D: There's still, like, a couple groups out. [00:03:06] Speaker F: We will bury them. [00:03:09] Speaker C: Everyone is welcome at our table. [00:03:12] Speaker E: Yeah, except for that Alec Douchebag that. [00:03:16] Speaker C: You guys picked up last week. He's just being trying to be a bro and you guys are all, like, up in his grill. [00:03:23] Speaker E: Previously on The Cracked Die Podcast our. [00:03:27] Speaker B: Heroes meet the Hell Knight. Armager alec Stegrom. After quickly dispatching of some imps, alec talks to the group. After a less than warm welcome by our heroes. They continue searching the citadel. As our heroes investigate, they discover a room full of rats. What will happen to our heroes? Find out now on the Cracked Die podcast. [00:03:58] Speaker C: So you guys opened the door to this room, and you saw four rats look up from what they were doing. So let's just start this off the only way I know how initiative rolls. [00:04:11] Speaker E: What square is Alec in? [00:04:13] Speaker F: So he's out ahead of the rest of the group? [00:04:15] Speaker C: Yes, because he opened the door and went in first. So, starting with Pondovaca, what is your initiative? [00:04:21] Speaker G: Eight. See you guys later. [00:04:25] Speaker C: Silva? [00:04:26] Speaker H: 23. [00:04:28] Speaker E: Alec, what'd? You roll for him. Anwar, since you're Alec now, I don't want to lie. [00:04:33] Speaker F: I rolled initially for temid, and I have a seven. Alec got a ten on the die, so 17 for him. [00:04:40] Speaker E: 17. [00:04:41] Speaker C: Brianna? [00:04:42] Speaker F: 15 plus seven perception. [00:04:44] Speaker E: Ridiculous. [00:04:45] Speaker C: Twin talion. I don't know what that was. [00:04:49] Speaker E: I don't know. [00:04:49] Speaker C: Twin talon. [00:04:50] Speaker E: What is your me? Nine plus seven is 16. [00:04:54] Speaker C: Brianna, what did you get? [00:04:55] Speaker D: 1515. [00:04:56] Speaker C: Okay, those were very close to each other. [00:04:58] Speaker D: They tend to be. [00:04:59] Speaker I: Yes. Serra, 13. [00:05:02] Speaker C: You guys are just all clumped up here. All right. [00:05:05] Speaker E: See, we're plumped up. [00:05:06] Speaker C: Clumped up clumped. [00:05:08] Speaker D: Oh, I'm plumped up too. It's fine. [00:05:10] Speaker H: No, well, I know we're recording in a gingerbread cabin. I told you not to worry about that. [00:05:19] Speaker B: All right? [00:05:19] Speaker E: That old lady is cleaning. Don't worry about it. [00:05:23] Speaker H: If it's hot in here, the AC is off. Come on. [00:05:27] Speaker F: It's dry heat, right? [00:05:28] Speaker E: Dry heat with the ovens convection. [00:05:32] Speaker C: All right, so the I have ward. It's a rat. One of the rats goes first. [00:05:39] Speaker E: Are you sure they're not wards? [00:05:40] Speaker C: Yes, I'm sure they're not wards. Maybe they'll kill Alec. [00:05:45] Speaker I: Well, he is. [00:05:45] Speaker E: Well, that's why I sent him I mean, that's not why I sent him in first. Don't worry about it. [00:05:50] Speaker C: So the rat is going to move which one? The one that looks like a drow. He's going to take a bite at Alec. [00:05:58] Speaker F: Yo, bro. [00:05:58] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:05:59] Speaker F: Hey, bro. [00:06:00] Speaker E: 17. [00:06:01] Speaker C: That is a 24. [00:06:04] Speaker F: That hits, bro. [00:06:06] Speaker C: I appreciate you taking over the bro. Is that a crit? [00:06:08] Speaker F: It's not a crit. Bro. [00:06:11] Speaker C: Take six points, bro. [00:06:13] Speaker F: I refuse to do that. Bro. [00:06:15] Speaker C: Here, let me. [00:06:15] Speaker D: Don't you want him to be hurt? [00:06:18] Speaker F: I take that hit, bro. Actually, I'll triple that damage, bro. [00:06:21] Speaker C: Can you also give me a fortitude saving throw? [00:06:24] Speaker D: Ouch. [00:06:24] Speaker F: You just want me to freaking do more work. [00:06:26] Speaker I: You volunteered. [00:06:28] Speaker F: True, before I realized I had to do any more work. I just wanted more airtime. 27. [00:06:33] Speaker C: You're good. [00:06:34] Speaker E: So he took six damage. [00:06:35] Speaker C: He took six damage from the rat. [00:06:37] Speaker F: I'm pretty fort the tooth heavy, bro. [00:06:39] Speaker C: And then he goes to bite, and I'm assuming a seven misses. [00:06:43] Speaker F: That does miss critically, bro. [00:06:45] Speaker C: Oh, critically. But these are just rats, so they don't get a name. So no card. [00:06:49] Speaker E: Is that your rule? [00:06:51] Speaker C: That is my rule. [00:06:51] Speaker F: Okay, Silver, how many hit points did he take? I'm sorry. I was too busy doing the bro thing. [00:06:55] Speaker E: I'm sorry. What's one of the what's name? [00:06:56] Speaker C: Guscus. [00:06:57] Speaker E: Gus. [00:06:57] Speaker C: Gus. [00:06:58] Speaker I: Gus, gus and junk. [00:06:59] Speaker B: Yes. [00:06:59] Speaker C: Junk. Six points damage. Silver. [00:07:02] Speaker H: All right, I'm going to get inside the room here. Taking out my guitar. Strum a little bit on it. Hear that? Knots twang into strings and inspire bardic courage to everybody. So as a reminder, you get a plus one to hit and damage. And I'm just going to explore the dimensions of this room, explore the space. I'm going to go towards the south. Just north or south, depending. [00:07:27] Speaker C: So this is north, south, east and west. Okay. [00:07:30] Speaker H: Going east. I want to explore that. And that should be my full complement of movement. And turn. [00:07:35] Speaker C: All right, it's the rats turns again. Rats. So a rat drops down from the. [00:07:43] Speaker F: Wall, takes another 1000 points of bludgeoning. [00:07:47] Speaker C: Oh, no. Another one. [00:07:49] Speaker H: That's not good for me. [00:07:50] Speaker G: No. [00:07:51] Speaker C: And he's going to take a bite at silver. All right. Does a 18 hit you? Yeah, that hits me. All right. Please take two points of damage. Ow. And give me a fortitude save, please. All right. [00:08:06] Speaker H: I'm a 75 year old man. I'm certainly good at fortitude. [00:08:12] Speaker D: Is that sarcasm? [00:08:14] Speaker F: Oh, silver, how we knew ye or however that goes. [00:08:17] Speaker I: We'll immortalize you in song this time. [00:08:20] Speaker H: That's a 19. [00:08:21] Speaker C: You're good. All right, second bite is a seven. [00:08:27] Speaker H: That is a critical miss. [00:08:28] Speaker F: Yes. [00:08:29] Speaker C: All right. [00:08:30] Speaker F: Take that, motherfucker. [00:08:31] Speaker C: All right. Another rat. So the rat moves in between Alec. [00:08:35] Speaker E: And see if you can figure it out this way. [00:08:38] Speaker C: Pond watcher. [00:08:39] Speaker F: Oh, wow. And Brienna, do any of them have reactions? [00:08:44] Speaker C: Yeah. Do any of you have reactions? [00:08:45] Speaker D: I don't know, actually. [00:08:47] Speaker C: All right, so let's take a bite at Brienna. [00:08:49] Speaker I: Sure. [00:08:50] Speaker C: So it took two move actions to get there. [00:08:52] Speaker E: Wait, does Alec have a reaction? [00:08:53] Speaker F: I didn't say anything about reaction here. [00:08:56] Speaker E: What class is he? [00:08:57] Speaker F: He's a fighter. [00:08:58] Speaker C: Then he does right? [00:08:59] Speaker F: If he took anything about fighters. I'm just telling you what's on that paper. [00:09:03] Speaker E: It's not on this paper, but I'm pretty sure unless he doesn't have it, he should have. Attack of opportunity when someone moves past or does manipulate action. [00:09:09] Speaker C: Well, let me just double check the books here really quick. Attack of opportunity. I totally did not put it on that sheet. [00:09:15] Speaker I: You are really bad at transcribing. [00:09:17] Speaker E: So if you want Alex, take a swing. [00:09:21] Speaker F: Yeah, Alex is going to take a swing at this asshole. [00:09:23] Speaker C: All right, there's the actual from the book sheet. [00:09:26] Speaker F: I don't want to look at it because there's a chance I might accidentally read something. [00:09:29] Speaker C: You've passed all of those rooms about him itself. [00:09:32] Speaker G: Swing anyways. [00:09:33] Speaker F: I'm going to swing with power attack. [00:09:35] Speaker E: On okay, I think power attack is now a thing. [00:09:38] Speaker C: Yes, power attack is an action thing. You can just take an attack of okay, never mind. [00:09:42] Speaker F: I'm going to take an attack of opportunity. [00:09:43] Speaker C: All right, go ahead. [00:09:44] Speaker F: 17. [00:09:45] Speaker E: Does that hit bro. [00:09:46] Speaker C: Bro. That hits. [00:09:48] Speaker F: Yeah, bro. [00:09:49] Speaker C: How much damage? Bro. [00:09:50] Speaker G: He's so much better than us. [00:09:51] Speaker F: Four. Bro. [00:09:52] Speaker C: One D. Twelve plus four. [00:09:54] Speaker F: Six, bro. [00:09:56] Speaker I: Wow. [00:09:56] Speaker C: All right. So the warg still is or the rat is still there? It's a warg, Matt. [00:10:03] Speaker E: War rat. [00:10:03] Speaker C: Christine? [00:10:04] Speaker E: Yeah? [00:10:04] Speaker C: I would like you to look at the number on my die that I rolled. [00:10:08] Speaker E: I didn't see you roll it. [00:10:09] Speaker I: I didn't see you roll it either. [00:10:10] Speaker E: And I didn't see that there is a die there. [00:10:11] Speaker I: I just see there's a die. [00:10:12] Speaker F: I actually saw you specifically place it down on the did you see him roll it? [00:10:16] Speaker G: I saw him roll it. [00:10:17] Speaker E: Well, since you are me, I trust. [00:10:19] Speaker C: You as well, so that was a natural 20. [00:10:21] Speaker I: It was. [00:10:22] Speaker H: I saw him roll it. [00:10:23] Speaker C: Okay, so that is a 27 versus Brianna's AC. That hits. [00:10:30] Speaker F: That is a horrible miss. [00:10:33] Speaker C: I don't get named. Look at that. [00:10:36] Speaker E: Your rules. [00:10:37] Speaker C: My rules. Just double damage, right? [00:10:40] Speaker H: You can name the rat now. [00:10:42] Speaker B: Fuck you. [00:10:43] Speaker C: Gus Gus. Gus. [00:10:45] Speaker F: Gus the rat. [00:10:46] Speaker I: Take Gus Gus and Jacques. That's two of them. [00:10:48] Speaker C: Damage. There's two zara fights into you. [00:10:51] Speaker F: I don't know what you're talking about. [00:10:53] Speaker I: Cinderella. [00:10:53] Speaker C: And then please don't get Disney to sue us. Like, please, of all of the people in the world, we do not want Disney. [00:11:00] Speaker E: They got a lot of money. [00:11:01] Speaker C: They have a and they have at least twice the amount of money that I have. At least. At least. Can you give me a fortitude save? [00:11:12] Speaker D: I can. How about a nine? Crit failed, technically. Does that count for fortitudes? I rolled a natural one. [00:11:21] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Because that moves you on the scale twice. [00:11:24] Speaker I: Oh, no. [00:11:27] Speaker C: Ouch. [00:11:28] Speaker D: I'm good at that. [00:11:29] Speaker C: You are sickened one. [00:11:32] Speaker E: So sickened two. [00:11:33] Speaker C: No, sickened one. Yeah, it goes from late. Stage one would be the onset, and then it goes to the first effect. So you're now at stage two of this disease. And then this will last for one day. [00:11:49] Speaker I: Cool. [00:11:50] Speaker F: Holy geez. [00:11:51] Speaker E: I don't understand why poisons and diseases are so different. Whatever. [00:11:55] Speaker F: Because poisons are not diseases and diseases are not poisons. [00:11:57] Speaker E: Thank you, Anwar. [00:12:00] Speaker F: I'm here to help. [00:12:01] Speaker C: Guys, it's Alex turn. [00:12:03] Speaker G: Yay. [00:12:04] Speaker F: All right, bro. I'm going to walk up to this. [00:12:06] Speaker C: You don't even have to walk. [00:12:07] Speaker F: Fucking rat right next to you. I'm going to stand next to this fucking rat. [00:12:11] Speaker I: Stabby. [00:12:11] Speaker F: Stab three times, this rat bastard. [00:12:13] Speaker C: All right, which one? [00:12:14] Speaker F: The one that bit the one that I did damage. [00:12:18] Speaker C: Only one that was nice. [00:12:19] Speaker F: The one that I did damage. [00:12:21] Speaker C: All right. The one you did damage to. It's a twelve total, which is the. [00:12:25] Speaker E: One that hit Brianna. [00:12:27] Speaker F: I'm sorry. No, that's 15. [00:12:29] Speaker C: That's a hit. This is why we don't have nice. [00:12:35] Speaker G: The one in charge of two characters. [00:12:36] Speaker C: Eleven damage. No, it can't even be in charge of 15 damage. [00:12:40] Speaker F: 15 damage, bra. [00:12:42] Speaker B: Wow. [00:12:42] Speaker F: That's dead because I lift bra. [00:12:45] Speaker H: Do you never skip leg day? [00:12:47] Speaker F: Well, no, I skip leg day because I all right. [00:12:50] Speaker C: Alex still has two more actions. [00:12:52] Speaker F: All right, is there another one more next to you? Was it a minus 50? Seven for the natural 17 with a second one's minus ten. So it's 17 total that will hit. [00:13:10] Speaker C: Anwar just keeps throwing dice on the ground. [00:13:13] Speaker F: Eleven points of damage. [00:13:15] Speaker H: Really dangerous if he can hit one. Three minus ten is a 17. [00:13:21] Speaker D: Well, thank you for that. [00:13:23] Speaker E: Number one must be a plus ten. [00:13:26] Speaker F: Yeah, it is a plus ten. [00:13:26] Speaker E: So it's ten, 50 or three attacks. [00:13:29] Speaker F: That's another kill. [00:13:30] Speaker C: It another rat dead. [00:13:31] Speaker F: It's simple, bra. It's simple. [00:13:33] Speaker C: All right. [00:13:34] Speaker F: Just kind of take your sword and you smack it with the sword and it's simple, bra. [00:13:39] Speaker I: What kind of accent is that, bra? [00:13:40] Speaker F: I have no fucking clue. I'm just trying. Another one pops out, another one bites the dust. [00:13:47] Speaker E: Done. [00:13:48] Speaker C: Oh, alec reactions don't reset till the top of the next round, right? Correct. [00:13:53] Speaker F: Bra. [00:13:54] Speaker E: Or the characters draft on your turn, they reset. [00:13:58] Speaker C: Okay. So you can take a reaction. [00:14:00] Speaker F: AOL, bra. [00:14:01] Speaker C: So another rat drops from the walls and attacks Alec. [00:14:06] Speaker F: 26. [00:14:07] Speaker C: That is a hit. [00:14:08] Speaker I: Is that a crit? [00:14:09] Speaker F: No, we have 17 nine points. [00:14:13] Speaker C: What did you roll? I'm sorry? 26. [00:14:15] Speaker F: 26. [00:14:15] Speaker C: That is a crit. [00:14:17] Speaker F: 18 points of damage. [00:14:19] Speaker E: Well, we'll see. [00:14:21] Speaker F: All right. [00:14:22] Speaker E: Could be triple, could be single, could be hopscotch. [00:14:25] Speaker F: We don't know. The target must succeed. A fortitude save or be paralyzed until healed. It's dead anyways. [00:14:29] Speaker C: It's dead, so I'm not going to make that roll. But he slaughters another defenseless rant. [00:14:36] Speaker F: He goes, aren't you guys glad you brought me along? Brah. And then timid's like, fuck you, man. [00:14:42] Speaker G: He's so much more powerful than us. [00:14:44] Speaker C: Twin, twin. [00:14:46] Speaker E: Talon will delay. [00:14:48] Speaker D: All right, Brianna, there's none near us, right? [00:14:55] Speaker C: Correct. [00:14:56] Speaker D: I'm going to move to help Silver. [00:14:58] Speaker C: All right, your movement is how much? [00:15:01] Speaker D: 20. Will I get there? [00:15:03] Speaker E: You can take two move actions, and then your third action can be to attack. [00:15:06] Speaker D: Sure, I'll do that. OOH, I even spun around. That was very balletic. [00:15:10] Speaker B: Very balletic. [00:15:11] Speaker C: I love it. [00:15:12] Speaker D: All right, so I'm going to scimitar. Let's do this with a 1313. [00:15:23] Speaker E: Wait, no. [00:15:23] Speaker C: You don't take any negatives yet. [00:15:25] Speaker E: You only take negatives if you've attacked. So your first attack in the round, even if it's your third action, is always at your full bonus. [00:15:31] Speaker C: Correct. [00:15:31] Speaker D: With a 22. [00:15:32] Speaker C: That is a hit. [00:15:34] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:15:34] Speaker D: Excellence. Excellence. [00:15:36] Speaker H: You get a plus one to bonus damage. [00:15:39] Speaker C: Awesome. [00:15:40] Speaker E: Are you barting? Yeah, I have been barting. [00:15:43] Speaker D: So, seven damage. [00:15:44] Speaker C: You slash into the rat, and it does not look like it's a happy rat. [00:15:49] Speaker F: You dirty rat. [00:15:51] Speaker C: Twin, would you like to come up the way? [00:15:53] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm going to go. [00:15:54] Speaker C: All right. [00:15:54] Speaker E: I'm going to step up and around so that I am basically in the corner. So I come out of the door, go to the right, and I'm in the corner there. And as I said before, I have my bow drawn, and now there is no one between me and the rat. [00:16:07] Speaker C: Correct. [00:16:08] Speaker E: So I'm going to shoot it. [00:16:09] Speaker C: All right. So one action to move. [00:16:11] Speaker F: Don't shoot it in the face. [00:16:12] Speaker E: No. One action to move. [00:16:14] Speaker C: One action to move. [00:16:15] Speaker F: Come on. Take this guy. [00:16:15] Speaker C: Second action is to shoot. Yes. [00:16:18] Speaker E: So that is a 16 to hit. [00:16:20] Speaker C: That'll hit. [00:16:21] Speaker F: Nice. [00:16:21] Speaker E: And again this is my magic bow. [00:16:23] Speaker C: That's right. So you get an extra damage, two D, six. What's the minimum you can do? Two logically do you have a bonus? [00:16:31] Speaker F: But also he's got the bardic inspiration right. [00:16:33] Speaker E: Also three. [00:16:34] Speaker C: So you kill it. [00:16:35] Speaker F: Okay, well let's see how much he kills it. I want to know. [00:16:39] Speaker E: So I rolled eleven damage plus the one from the Bard is twelve. [00:16:42] Speaker C: You splatter that rat against the back wall and it's like pinned by its chest as it wriggles and then dies. [00:16:49] Speaker I: I was going to ask if it was just like skewered and ready to go on its bit. [00:16:53] Speaker H: Much obliged. [00:16:54] Speaker E: It is a medium. It's the size of a person. [00:16:56] Speaker C: Yeah, no it's not. It's not that long of a bow. [00:17:00] Speaker E: So with my third action I would like to do a knowledge check on rats. [00:17:05] Speaker C: Is excellent. [00:17:06] Speaker F: Knowledge rats. I'm pretty sure architecture works on that. [00:17:09] Speaker G: I'm hoping. How many rats could fit in this whole building. [00:17:15] Speaker I: Is nature. 15 square rats. [00:17:19] Speaker C: 15 square rats. [00:17:22] Speaker E: 19. [00:17:22] Speaker C: That is a critical success. So these are giant rats. They are medium sized, they are animals. What would you like to know about them? [00:17:32] Speaker E: Do they have any specific attacks that we should be aware of? [00:17:36] Speaker C: They only can bite but as you've observed the bite contains a disease which is filth fever. [00:17:43] Speaker E: Okay. [00:17:44] Speaker F: It's always filth fever. [00:17:45] Speaker E: It's always filthy, especially at first levels. It's just like would you like some filth fever? [00:17:50] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:17:51] Speaker E: And my second I want to know how many rats could we expect to be in a group? [00:17:57] Speaker C: Probably six. [00:17:58] Speaker E: Okay why they so big? [00:18:00] Speaker F: How many have we killed till so far? [00:18:02] Speaker C: Like three. [00:18:02] Speaker E: Why so big? [00:18:04] Speaker C: Okay, well you see when a giant mommy rat okay, we're done. XXX all right next is one of the two remaining rats. [00:18:15] Speaker F: Am I ever going to get to go? [00:18:16] Speaker I: No, I was wondering the same thing. [00:18:18] Speaker C: They're going to roll higher next time. [00:18:21] Speaker G: We got to kick this guy out of the group. He's too powerful. He's killing all the enemies. [00:18:26] Speaker F: Yeah, you do it, you kick him out. [00:18:27] Speaker H: I'm not doing mean he's probably gonna have to fight him eventually. [00:18:32] Speaker C: Why would or going to your pond of watcher. [00:18:37] Speaker E: So he runs straight past Alec, doesn't pay any attention to him. There's another rat attacks pond watcher in the back? [00:18:44] Speaker C: Yes. [00:18:44] Speaker F: Do you have a reaction? [00:18:45] Speaker C: No, not at this level. [00:18:48] Speaker D: Yeah I just found out. Not at this level. [00:18:49] Speaker C: Does it 21 hit you? [00:18:51] Speaker G: Yes. [00:18:52] Speaker C: Six points of damage. [00:18:53] Speaker G: Ouch. [00:18:54] Speaker C: And then please give me a fortitude save. [00:18:57] Speaker E: Got this. [00:18:58] Speaker G: Amanata looking too good. [00:19:00] Speaker E: So you do have a not at this level though. [00:19:03] Speaker G: It's a 17. [00:19:04] Speaker C: You're good. Ouch. [00:19:06] Speaker F: Liberating step. [00:19:07] Speaker E: Liberating step. [00:19:08] Speaker C: And second attack is to bite Temid. What? Why you're there. [00:19:15] Speaker E: Is that a natural 20? [00:19:17] Speaker C: That is a natural 20 again. But hang on, it might not be because this is its second attack. [00:19:22] Speaker E: It's still a natural 20. [00:19:23] Speaker C: Still crit, right? It's a crit, but I still have to hit, right? It's going to hit them, but it might not double the damage. [00:19:29] Speaker F: So would a against 18 armor class. So if you exceed 18, then yes. [00:19:35] Speaker E: Okay, if you have a plus three to hit, then you I do. [00:19:38] Speaker C: So you take four points damage. [00:19:42] Speaker F: Okay. [00:19:42] Speaker D: No, he doesn't. [00:19:43] Speaker C: He doesn't. [00:19:44] Speaker D: I throw my shield of the way. [00:19:46] Speaker C: Yay. Can you do that? Yeah. [00:19:48] Speaker I: Where are you? Over by Silver. [00:19:50] Speaker C: Yeah, you're over by Silver. [00:19:51] Speaker E: You can't literally throw her shield. Her ability is liberating step. [00:19:55] Speaker D: Is he 15ft from me? [00:19:57] Speaker E: No, he's not. [00:19:58] Speaker D: Never mind. I can't do anything. [00:19:59] Speaker C: So you take four damage. Okay. [00:20:01] Speaker D: Sorry, I tried. [00:20:02] Speaker C: Fine. And give me a fortitude safe. [00:20:03] Speaker F: No. [00:20:04] Speaker C: Okay, then you fail. [00:20:06] Speaker F: Then I accept. I will do the fortitude. [00:20:08] Speaker C: Okay, you accept failing at the fortitude safe? No. [00:20:13] Speaker F: Natural 18. [00:20:14] Speaker C: Critical success. You're fine. [00:20:16] Speaker F: Sweet. [00:20:17] Speaker C: All right. [00:20:18] Speaker F: Does my critical success mean now? The rat has fill fever. [00:20:21] Speaker C: No, it already did. Yeah. Yes, it does. [00:20:25] Speaker I: SurreyA, she is going to ready her sling as an action. The rat is right in front of her. Okay, just wing at it with something. Does a twelve hit? [00:20:35] Speaker C: No. [00:20:35] Speaker I: All right, well, she's going to take her second action and try that again. [00:20:38] Speaker C: Is readying. And throwing this little thing. One action. [00:20:41] Speaker I: No. Ready. Attack. Attack again. [00:20:44] Speaker E: So it's three actions. [00:20:46] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah. Sorry, my brain stopped. I noticed blue screened. [00:20:49] Speaker I: That also fails. It's a five. [00:20:51] Speaker C: Okay. Temid. [00:20:52] Speaker F: Okay. So the last remaining one actually no. I'm sorry. There are two left, right? [00:20:55] Speaker C: Yes. [00:20:56] Speaker E: One hasn't gone yet. [00:20:57] Speaker F: One hasn't gone yet. So it's within striking distance. The one that's adjacent to me, I can't really see that far out into this. So I can just strike at it without okay, so he rears back and he kind of thrusts forward with his rapier. A natural one. [00:21:18] Speaker C: I believe. You get to draw one of those really cool cards over there. [00:21:22] Speaker E: It's a new deck of cards. [00:21:23] Speaker C: Hey, they're blue. [00:21:24] Speaker G: They're really good. [00:21:25] Speaker F: I guess it's what? Melee? [00:21:26] Speaker C: Yes. [00:21:27] Speaker I: Yes, you are. Melee. Broken weapon again. Your weapon's current hit points are reduced to its broken threshold. If already broken, the weapon takes three D six damage, ignoring hardness. [00:21:39] Speaker E: So luckily my weapon black broken group. [00:21:42] Speaker C: Yes. [00:21:43] Speaker D: I'll fix it. [00:21:43] Speaker C: I forget. [00:21:44] Speaker F: With broken, is it just inoperable or is it just do I take penalties? [00:21:48] Speaker I: Broken is a condition that affects objects. An object is broken when it's damaged. A broken item still imposes penalties and limitations normally incurred by carrying, holding or wearing. For example, broken armor would still impose sex modifier. [00:21:59] Speaker G: It can't be used for its normal function. [00:22:01] Speaker I: Yeah. [00:22:02] Speaker F: So now that we figure it out, my weapon is broken and I cannot. [00:22:05] Speaker E: Use it for its normal function. [00:22:07] Speaker F: For its normal function, which is to attack shit. [00:22:09] Speaker E: Yes. [00:22:10] Speaker I: Correct. [00:22:10] Speaker F: So then he will oh, then I'll use one of my cantrips as your second action. It's called Divine Lance. [00:22:18] Speaker E: How many actions is it? [00:22:20] Speaker F: It is two actions. Okay, so as your second and third action, 19 total. [00:22:25] Speaker C: That'll hit. [00:22:26] Speaker F: All right, nice. [00:22:29] Speaker E: Another one of the Bro Hell knights named Lance shows up. He's divine. [00:22:34] Speaker H: He likes to dance a lot. [00:22:35] Speaker F: They take seven points of damage. [00:22:38] Speaker C: How much? [00:22:39] Speaker F: Seven. You lance this Lance bass's motherfucker rat. [00:22:44] Speaker C: With a kind of like, what could. [00:22:48] Speaker F: So what I do is I unleash a divine beam of energy that's basically, like, in it. You can see, like, flowing ill. [00:22:54] Speaker C: I was going to say you could only describe the color of this as straw. [00:22:57] Speaker F: And then it just skewers this rat in the ground. Very similar to how the rat was skewered when our friend Twin Talon shot it. But it's much cooler. [00:23:09] Speaker C: Well, no, it's still alive, so it's not as cool. [00:23:12] Speaker F: Actually, it is cooler. [00:23:13] Speaker C: Pond watcher you're up. [00:23:15] Speaker E: Suck it, Temit. [00:23:18] Speaker G: I don't think you're supposed to use your sword like that. Watch this. And he swings his sword. The tiny baby dog. [00:23:29] Speaker F: It's a rat. [00:23:30] Speaker G: Shut up. [00:23:30] Speaker E: Human sized. [00:23:32] Speaker F: And it's not tiny either. [00:23:33] Speaker G: Shut up. Men 14. [00:23:38] Speaker C: Did you take your minus one and then add your plus one? Yeah. Okay. [00:23:41] Speaker G: That's why it took me an extra, like, 10 seconds. [00:23:44] Speaker C: The first one is a miss. [00:23:46] Speaker G: I swing again. No. [00:23:52] Speaker F: What's the number? Because it could critically fail. [00:23:54] Speaker G: Five. [00:23:55] Speaker I: I had a five. It didn't crit fail. [00:23:57] Speaker C: It did not crit fail. [00:23:58] Speaker G: I'm really tempted to go for it again. [00:24:01] Speaker I: Go for it one more time. [00:24:02] Speaker G: I'm doing it. [00:24:03] Speaker E: What's the worst that could happen? [00:24:04] Speaker G: I will hit something one of these days. [00:24:09] Speaker C: Come on. [00:24:10] Speaker E: Space says no, but three, that's a crit fail. [00:24:13] Speaker B: No. [00:24:14] Speaker C: Let's grab another. [00:24:19] Speaker E: What are you using? [00:24:21] Speaker G: My sword. [00:24:22] Speaker C: Batter knife. Knife. Butter knife fling. [00:24:25] Speaker I: You drop the weapon you used for the attack, it lands one D six times 5ft away from you in a random direction. [00:24:31] Speaker E: So one D, six squares? Basically, yeah. [00:24:34] Speaker C: So it's going to fly across the room and it actually sticks into the door. [00:24:39] Speaker I: But we don't know which direction it goes or how far it goes. [00:24:42] Speaker G: 15Ft. [00:24:43] Speaker E: So three squares right into the door. [00:24:46] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:24:47] Speaker G: I'm beginning to believe that this sword is not very good. [00:24:50] Speaker B: I told you so. [00:24:51] Speaker F: What was that about my sword use? [00:24:54] Speaker G: I've missed six attacks in a row. [00:24:57] Speaker I: Oh, pond watcher. [00:24:59] Speaker D: We went. [00:24:59] Speaker E: Can't wait to get a critical hit and stop being bad at fighting. [00:25:04] Speaker F: It's like the one thing that he's supposed to be good at. [00:25:07] Speaker C: All right. [00:25:08] Speaker E: That crit fail last time was just rough. [00:25:11] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:25:12] Speaker C: Takes a bite at Alec and misses. So back to the top. Silver. [00:25:17] Speaker F: That's right. [00:25:18] Speaker E: Two movements. [00:25:19] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:25:19] Speaker E: Wow. [00:25:20] Speaker C: Silver's up. [00:25:22] Speaker H: All right, so I'm going to continue to twang my guitar to give y'all Bartic inspiration. [00:25:28] Speaker C: They need some sort of inspiration. Right now. [00:25:30] Speaker H: It currently looks it. Where is my leisure's sword currently? [00:25:36] Speaker C: It is directly north of you towards the door. [00:25:40] Speaker E: It's three squares away from on the floor. [00:25:42] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:25:42] Speaker H: So if you can point it out, great. I'm going to walk up to that, grab it, and then I'm going to bring it over to Pond Watcher over there. [00:25:52] Speaker E: One action to move, one action to pick up an item from the floor and then one action to move over to Pond Watcher. [00:25:57] Speaker C: Yes. [00:25:57] Speaker H: And then on his turn, I get is it a free action for him to take it? [00:26:00] Speaker C: No, it'll be one action for him to take. [00:26:01] Speaker F: Wait, didn't you continue singing? [00:26:05] Speaker C: So, one action to sing, one action to walk over and one action to pick it up. [00:26:09] Speaker H: All right. So I'm holding it currently. [00:26:12] Speaker C: All right, next time, sing some Springsteen, bra. All right. [00:26:17] Speaker D: No. [00:26:18] Speaker E: Is that what he's into? [00:26:20] Speaker F: I don't know. [00:26:20] Speaker C: I'm making decisions, Hamid. [00:26:22] Speaker E: Sure you are. [00:26:23] Speaker C: Does a 20 hit you? [00:26:26] Speaker F: Yes, it does. [00:26:27] Speaker C: Does it critically hit you? [00:26:28] Speaker F: No, of course not. An 18, man. [00:26:29] Speaker C: Come on, then. Take five points of damage. [00:26:31] Speaker F: All right. [00:26:32] Speaker C: And a fortitude save. [00:26:34] Speaker F: 14. [00:26:35] Speaker C: You're good. [00:26:36] Speaker F: Second bite is a ten that does not hit. [00:26:40] Speaker C: Third bite is a critical miss. [00:26:42] Speaker F: Yes. Oh, wait, it's not named. I don't really care. [00:26:45] Speaker C: Then Alex turn. [00:26:47] Speaker F: All right, bra, let me show you how it's done. And then he stabbed himself in the throat. [00:26:52] Speaker E: Making decisions. [00:26:53] Speaker C: I think I distinctly remember saying that I will role play him. You just need to roll the dice and move him. [00:26:58] Speaker F: 18. [00:26:59] Speaker C: That'll hit. [00:27:00] Speaker F: Eleven points of damage. [00:27:02] Speaker D: It's dead. [00:27:03] Speaker F: All right, so he takes his great sword, which is a two handed sword, not the single handed sword that Sean was talking about earlier. And he slams it down on the ground. You see cracks kind of start to spider away from where he slammed on the ground. And then it looks like the rat is completely still whole as he pulls his sword up. But then the head kind of comes up with the sword. As know, like when you're chopping potatoes or something, a potato gets stuck on it. Yeah. So then the head gets stuck on it and he kind of looks at it and he kind of flicks it off and says, yeah, that's how it's done. All right, Asmodeus yo. [00:27:35] Speaker C: No, he distinctly is not pro Asmodeus. [00:27:38] Speaker I: We had that whole conversation last episode. [00:27:40] Speaker F: But I kind of want Brianna. [00:27:41] Speaker E: I kind of want him to alec took one action. [00:27:43] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. All right. Alec has two more actions. Okay. [00:27:45] Speaker F: So then he steps towards the other one, the one that's the fire dog. [00:27:49] Speaker C: Or whatever it is, and he takes a swing. [00:27:51] Speaker F: 14 to hit miss. All right. So then he misses and he says, can't win them all, bra. [00:27:56] Speaker C: Did you add the plus? Oh, Silver, are you including Alec in this one now? No. [00:28:02] Speaker F: Okay, yeah, I wouldn't do it unless it's Springsteen, bra. [00:28:05] Speaker I: Fuck that guy. [00:28:08] Speaker D: How far am I from the rat currently? [00:28:11] Speaker E: 20Ft. [00:28:12] Speaker C: About 20ft. [00:28:13] Speaker E: So one move action for you. [00:28:15] Speaker D: Remind me how firing into it'll give. [00:28:19] Speaker C: Them cover, and depending on how much. [00:28:22] Speaker E: Cover I think it only gives them cover if you're shooting through people where you are. If you're going to do a ranged attack, you could get around the corner and fire at a clean shot. [00:28:32] Speaker D: Yes, I'll do that. [00:28:33] Speaker C: All right. [00:28:34] Speaker D: So Brianna will pull her javelin out, move and fire is three. [00:28:42] Speaker C: All right, let's do see how I do. 16 hit ice noise. [00:28:48] Speaker D: Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet. [00:28:50] Speaker F: Lance fastest motherfucker. [00:28:52] Speaker E: That's the only person named Lance that you know? [00:28:54] Speaker F: Yes. [00:28:55] Speaker G: Lance Armstrong. [00:28:57] Speaker C: Who? [00:28:59] Speaker E: Neil Armstrong's brother. [00:29:01] Speaker F: Okay. [00:29:02] Speaker I: He's the one we don't talk about anymore after all the that can't be right. [00:29:05] Speaker F: Doping. [00:29:05] Speaker C: What's that? [00:29:07] Speaker D: Is it one D. Oh, jeez. Okay, so 1112 13, 1415 damage. [00:29:13] Speaker F: Holy crap. [00:29:14] Speaker C: Holy moly. This one is prepared on a skewer for you to roast because it goes in one side and pops out the other and kills the rat. Oh, my God. [00:29:23] Speaker F: In its mouth and out its butt? [00:29:24] Speaker C: Is that what you're saying? I said in one end and out the other. I don't need to quantify that. Quantify that. Yeah. Thank you. Combat is over. Unless you would like to continue it. [00:29:34] Speaker H: I'll bring the sword back to Pond Watcher here. [00:29:37] Speaker C: All right. [00:29:39] Speaker G: Thank you, Silver. I don't know what's wrong with me. I feel yeah, it's all right. [00:29:45] Speaker H: It happens to every man every now and then. Maybe your first time. [00:29:50] Speaker G: So Pond Watcher actually is going to sheath the butterknife, and he's going to take the wrapped up package off of his back for the first time and say, I believe it is time then, to reclaim my heritage. And he will unwrap an extremely long, silver looking halberd and say, Mother, I hope to do you proud, and wield it in a cool anime way. As light goes beyond his head blossom. [00:30:24] Speaker I: Pond Watcher says all that, right? [00:30:26] Speaker C: Yes. [00:30:26] Speaker H: Wearing the crown still on his head. [00:30:29] Speaker G: Yes. Perhaps I will have better luck. [00:30:32] Speaker F: Stop trying to make it happen. [00:30:33] Speaker E: Yeah, stop trying to make crown happen. That's amazing. [00:30:36] Speaker I: There is, however, a new shiny for Jasper to be enamored with. [00:30:39] Speaker B: Yes. [00:30:41] Speaker H: I can't wait for him to try to grab the sharp part and then cut his. [00:30:48] Speaker I: Nah, he'll just, like, sit on the curve of the halberd, like. [00:30:53] Speaker E: At the top on the sharp part. [00:30:55] Speaker H: It's very sharp right there. [00:30:56] Speaker F: So I've got a question, like, the bladed part, if we run out of rations, is Jasper the first one we cook? [00:31:02] Speaker I: You don't want to cook Jack. [00:31:03] Speaker D: You want to cook Jasper. [00:31:06] Speaker H: I would trash. Monster. [00:31:08] Speaker C: He kind of is. [00:31:09] Speaker I: He's a homunculus. [00:31:10] Speaker H: That means he's made from your skin follicles. [00:31:14] Speaker I: That's why he's not really feathered. He looks more like he's made out of flesh. [00:31:18] Speaker D: Right. [00:31:19] Speaker F: All right, so what's in this room? [00:31:20] Speaker G: Yeah. [00:31:21] Speaker F: Can we take a look? [00:31:23] Speaker C: Sure. So as you look around this room, you notice that there are badly decomposing and molding corpses, human corpses. [00:31:33] Speaker I: We noticed the rats before the corpses. There's no smell. [00:31:36] Speaker C: You notice the rats because they were eating and gnawing on the molding, decaying corpses. [00:31:42] Speaker E: Corpses of what? [00:31:44] Speaker C: Humans. [00:31:45] Speaker E: Okay. [00:31:46] Speaker C: You also see that there are moss and vines encroaching into this building from the westernly side where the hole in the wall is, including snarls of wild blackberries. [00:31:59] Speaker E: I'd like to make a nature check on the blackberries, see if they're actually edible. [00:32:03] Speaker C: Yeah, go ahead. [00:32:04] Speaker D: I'd like to make some semblance of perception check on the bodies. [00:32:08] Speaker C: Okay, go ahead. [00:32:09] Speaker F: Would survival help with that? [00:32:10] Speaker C: So let's go back into the exploration mode. Okay, so we know that Twin Talon is going to be examining the berries to see if they're healthy to eat. Temid, what are you doing? [00:32:20] Speaker F: Would survival help with that same check with the berries? [00:32:23] Speaker C: Yes. Yeah, you can absolutely. Survival, that stuff. [00:32:27] Speaker D: Brienna, I'll be doing a medicine check on the bodies to see how long they've been gone and if they have any semblance of who these people possibly. [00:32:38] Speaker E: Maybe how they died even. [00:32:40] Speaker D: Correct. [00:32:40] Speaker C: Pond Watcher. [00:32:41] Speaker G: Pond Watcher is doing bicep curls with the halberd and just looking at Alec. [00:32:45] Speaker C: Okay. Alec is looking back and doing curls with it, with his sword. [00:32:49] Speaker F: Are they flirting or something? [00:32:51] Speaker C: Is that what's going on? Bro, it's not flirting. It's being bros, bro job. [00:32:57] Speaker H: Silver is going to. [00:33:01] Speaker C: Silver, what are you doing? [00:33:02] Speaker H: Silver is going to have a quick conversation with Pond Watcher. [00:33:06] Speaker C: All right? [00:33:06] Speaker G: I'm busy. [00:33:07] Speaker C: Bro and Serea at you is what he wants. [00:33:11] Speaker I: Well, if he's curling the Hellber? Jasper is definitely perched on the staff of it, and she's just doing a general kind of perception. 19. [00:33:18] Speaker C: Okay, so let's go around. You got a 19. You guys are going to talk. You're curling. What did you roll for 2020? What did Temid and Twin Talon roll? [00:33:27] Speaker E: I got a 23. [00:33:28] Speaker C: 20. [00:33:28] Speaker F: 312. [00:33:29] Speaker C: Okay, so the berries totally fine. You could eat them. They're not nothing magical, they're just food. [00:33:35] Speaker E: As long as they weren't poisonous before I started. [00:33:37] Speaker C: Yeah. Chowing down picking them. [00:33:39] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:33:39] Speaker C: No, you were doing a general perception. While you are looking, you find two minor healing potions noise. [00:33:49] Speaker G: Okay, soraya Brianna Watcher, I'm very close to death. [00:33:55] Speaker C: While you look at them, it looks like they were obviously looting the building. They don't look like they were well equipped for this. They probably were ambushed by these rats. [00:34:04] Speaker I: Okay. [00:34:04] Speaker C: And the rats found that they were encroaching on their nest. And then unfortunately, these people met a sad rat filled diseased end. [00:34:14] Speaker D: How long ago did it seem these two were here. [00:34:17] Speaker C: They're pretty picked clean at this point, so a while. [00:34:21] Speaker E: Okay, so by dressed like robbers, I assume you mean they have, like, black masks, black and white striped shirts on? [00:34:28] Speaker C: Yes, exactly. [00:34:28] Speaker E: They could be French or they could be exactly. [00:34:31] Speaker G: Thieves. [00:34:31] Speaker D: Okay, yeah, mimes or thieves. [00:34:34] Speaker E: Could be mimes. [00:34:34] Speaker C: Yeah. Guys, no more mimes. We've had enough mimes in this show. Stop trying to make mimes happen. [00:34:42] Speaker D: Do they have anything else on their person? [00:34:45] Speaker C: No, they looked very poorly equipped for this. They have a couple of copper pieces in their belts, but nothing silver. Wow. No. Not even silver? No. [00:34:53] Speaker I: All right. [00:34:54] Speaker C: What are you guys talking about while everyone else is searching the room for ten minutes. [00:34:58] Speaker H: So while I'm talking to him, I'm going to use it as the soothe spell as well, to heal him. [00:35:04] Speaker C: Sounds good. [00:35:05] Speaker H: So you get eleven hit points back. [00:35:08] Speaker G: Whoa. Awesome. [00:35:10] Speaker F: Where are you at now? [00:35:11] Speaker G: 19 of 20. Okay, thanks, bud. [00:35:14] Speaker H: So silver is going to go. Now, I know there's a lot of history with you and that blade that you're carrying off your back. I just want you to know that the power of a weapon is with the man who wields it. And what you do with it can change your own future. This not does not kind of lay a chain on you in your life. [00:35:34] Speaker G: Thank you, my friend. That is wise words. I just feel also like the sword went flying across the room, so maybe it's not that good, but well, maybe that's my fault. Much like you said, the weapon is only the man that wields. Maybe if the man wields it by throwing it across the room, he is not a man at all. [00:35:54] Speaker H: That's not exactly what I was meaning, but well enough. I think the blade on your back is what you're meant to carry. And as your champion friend said, the other thing is more of a butter knife anyway. [00:36:08] Speaker G: For huge slices of toast. [00:36:10] Speaker H: Yes, I have yet to see bread that large, but I'm sure at some point in my life I would not be surprised. [00:36:17] Speaker G: One day we will break into a giant's larder and find the biggest bread in the world. [00:36:22] Speaker H: Well, until that day, that sword is all but useless. [00:36:31] Speaker I: Well, since Saraya has kind of decided that Podwatcher is her surrogate son after their last conversation, once she's done searching the room and has found the two health potions, she probably hasn't been paying attention. She's going to walk over. Can I interrupt your curling competition with Alec here? I have some healing potions if you still need them. [00:36:50] Speaker G: Oh, thank you. I will hold it if you wish, but my friend's words have filled me with vigor. [00:36:57] Speaker I: Well, I think you should at least take one or two, perhaps, if you're going to continue rushing into battle. [00:37:02] Speaker C: Yes. [00:37:03] Speaker G: I appear to be bit by everything we meet. [00:37:06] Speaker I: It seems so. And I hope you don't get sick again. That was quite unfortunate. [00:37:09] Speaker G: I know. I am sorry for my display of intestinal weakness, but oh, you're still young. [00:37:15] Speaker I: You have plenty of time to harden yourself against the challenges of the world. [00:37:19] Speaker G: Thank you. I will take one of these potions. [00:37:22] Speaker F: So, Pondwatcher, you did get a couple episodes ago, you did get a minor healing potion as well. [00:37:28] Speaker I: So now he's got two. [00:37:29] Speaker G: I have two now, yes. [00:37:30] Speaker C: Everyone, before we go to the next room, is there anything else you guys want to do here? [00:37:35] Speaker D: I think Brianna would like to take a minute to vomit, probably in the courtyard or a inconspicuous corner and go to Temid when she's done and cleaned up. And say, I noticed that you seem to have a broken sword. Would you like me to look at that? [00:37:53] Speaker F: If you could, that'd be great. I can certainly what really happened to this thing? It's like a butter knife. [00:37:58] Speaker E: It's probably shoddily made. [00:38:01] Speaker D: Where did you buy it? [00:38:03] Speaker F: I bought it at a shop in town. One of the many. [00:38:07] Speaker I: Clearly not her shop. [00:38:09] Speaker F: Obviously not your shop. It would have not have broken if it was your shop. [00:38:12] Speaker I: Clearly. [00:38:12] Speaker D: And I don't see the maker's mark anywhere. Maker's mark, give me yes, my maker's mark. [00:38:18] Speaker E: That's what it's called. And it's also bourbon, but yeah, I. [00:38:21] Speaker F: Like the bourbon one better. [00:38:23] Speaker D: Sean? [00:38:24] Speaker C: Yeah? [00:38:24] Speaker D: What is the DC of me? [00:38:26] Speaker C: What did you roll? [00:38:27] Speaker D: 16? [00:38:28] Speaker C: You're good? [00:38:29] Speaker D: All right. [00:38:29] Speaker F: Yay. I've got a sword again. [00:38:32] Speaker D: Schwing. [00:38:33] Speaker E: Another ten minutes have gone by. So it's Thursday now. [00:38:35] Speaker F: Yeah, thursday doesn't exist in this world. Thank you very much. [00:38:39] Speaker E: All right, blerns day now. [00:38:42] Speaker C: That's when we play Blerns ball. All right, so where are you all headed now? [00:38:46] Speaker G: Alec? I think you should walk out to the wall there and just keep going west. Eventually you will find even better citadel. All right, bro. [00:38:54] Speaker F: I'm just gonna stab myself in the throat, bro. [00:38:56] Speaker C: Okay, enough with that. Okay, enough. I get him. You're not a fan of Alec? [00:39:02] Speaker D: Let Sean play Alec. [00:39:04] Speaker F: All right, sean gets to play Alec. That's fine. [00:39:06] Speaker C: All right, so there is a door to the west or also a door to the east. [00:39:11] Speaker E: There's a door to the north and there's a door to the east. [00:39:13] Speaker C: I'm sorry, north and east. Yes. I can't read directions anymore. [00:39:17] Speaker E: I'll go east. [00:39:19] Speaker C: East. Do you open it? Do you listen? [00:39:21] Speaker E: I always listen first and then open. [00:39:23] Speaker C: All right. You don't hear nothing. [00:39:25] Speaker G: Okay. [00:39:25] Speaker E: I hear things on the other side because there's definitely not nothing over there anyway. So he opens the door. [00:39:34] Speaker B: Wow. [00:39:35] Speaker C: You see a very narrow hallway about 5ft across, just enough for you to walk single file through. And there is a door about 10ft to the east. [00:39:44] Speaker E: Okay, so he'll continue through and he will listen at the far door. [00:39:48] Speaker D: So you're going by yourself? Are we all filing behind him? [00:39:51] Speaker E: Because anyone can follow me if you like. [00:39:53] Speaker D: I'll be right behind you then. [00:39:54] Speaker B: Okay. [00:39:55] Speaker C: All right. You don't hear anything through the door? [00:40:00] Speaker G: Okay. [00:40:00] Speaker E: So I will open the door. [00:40:02] Speaker C: All right. You open the door, and I'm assuming you look inside. [00:40:05] Speaker E: Yes, I have my eyes open. [00:40:07] Speaker C: Once plush crimson curtains hang in tatters on the walls, and scuffs reveal places where portraits once hung. Trash and rotted food lie in heaps on the floor like tiny molding corpses. Open doors lead to north, northeast, and southwest. So all the doors in this room are open. [00:40:27] Speaker E: So north and northeast are across, and the southwest is where we're coming from. [00:40:31] Speaker C: Correct. Okay. [00:40:32] Speaker E: And there's just, like, partially eaten food everywhere? [00:40:36] Speaker C: Yes. [00:40:37] Speaker D: Can we take a moment just to refresh? If we knew why the Order of the Nail no longer was here, why it was banned, do we have that information? [00:40:45] Speaker C: Yeah, they just left because they have a better castle now. [00:40:49] Speaker D: Okay. [00:40:50] Speaker C: Like, nothing nothing was wrong with it. They were defending this area, but the war has moved away from this area. [00:40:56] Speaker D: I see. [00:40:57] Speaker C: Okay. So they left it. They're like, all right, whatever. [00:40:59] Speaker E: And then goblins moved in, among other things. It was a bugbear. [00:41:04] Speaker D: Right. But they said they preferred the lower levels. [00:41:09] Speaker C: Right. [00:41:10] Speaker D: So is there anything that would signify how long this food has been here? What exactly are we looking at? [00:41:19] Speaker C: Because what's your perception? [00:41:22] Speaker D: My perception is a three. [00:41:25] Speaker C: You can't really tell I made a roll for you. Right? Yeah. [00:41:28] Speaker E: Okay. [00:41:29] Speaker C: Can't really tell. Does anyone else want to look at the food or anything like that? Let's go back into exploration mode. [00:41:35] Speaker E: Twin, I want to search this room, but if the two doors on the other side are just hanging open, is that accurate? [00:41:41] Speaker C: Yes. [00:41:42] Speaker E: Then Twin Talons, when you move to the northern door, because this here is the other door. [00:41:50] Speaker C: Northeast door. Yeah. Maps. [00:41:51] Speaker E: A little damage there. [00:41:53] Speaker C: Damage. Sorry. Yeah, it's fine. [00:41:55] Speaker E: Okay, so, yeah, I'm going to move or twin talon is going to move up to that door and just kind of look at the next room. [00:42:00] Speaker C: All right, cool. We'll take care of that in a second. TEMED. [00:42:03] Speaker F: Temed's going to inspect the food and stuff on the ground just to see if he can figure out how old it is. [00:42:09] Speaker D: Brianna, she'll say to her party, something feels off. Isn't that right, friends? It feels like whoever was here before left in a hurry. [00:42:19] Speaker I: It seems very OD that they would have if they were just moving to follow the warfront. That's not something that moves in 3 hours. [00:42:24] Speaker D: Precisely. [00:42:26] Speaker C: Pond watcher. I will wait at the other door. The northeastern door. [00:42:31] Speaker G: Yes. [00:42:31] Speaker C: Okay. [00:42:33] Speaker H: Silver, I'm actually going to peer into that other door. [00:42:36] Speaker C: All right. [00:42:37] Speaker G: As I close my eyes, the door. [00:42:39] Speaker C: He'S the northeastern door. [00:42:40] Speaker H: Northeastern door. [00:42:41] Speaker C: The one down and SurreyA, she'll move. [00:42:44] Speaker I: Into the room, and also just to see if there's anything useful to find another perception. [00:42:49] Speaker G: What's Alec doing, Sean? [00:42:50] Speaker C: Alec is kind of just wandering around looking he's he's perceiving as well. [00:42:55] Speaker I: He's just scuffing his toes and staring at the floor. [00:42:58] Speaker E: Okay, so Alec's in here with us. [00:42:59] Speaker C: No, he's looking for his family's heirloom items that he's actually looking for. [00:43:04] Speaker D: Right. [00:43:04] Speaker E: And Brianna, I know that you asked us a question, but are that's basically like a free action we're talking. Is there anything else that you wanted to do while I'm moving figures around? [00:43:13] Speaker D: I guess I'll perceive too. Can I perceive again? [00:43:16] Speaker C: Absolutely. All right, so I need everyone who's perceiving to make that roll. You're good? [00:43:20] Speaker H: I'm peering out the room. [00:43:22] Speaker C: Yeah. All right, let's start with temid. [00:43:26] Speaker F: Eleven total. [00:43:27] Speaker C: Okay. [00:43:28] Speaker D: Brianna, 14 total. [00:43:30] Speaker C: You guys are looking into different rooms. I'll handle you guys in a second. Seria, 1717. [00:43:36] Speaker F: All right, so I just want to say oh, Alex. So I rolled my die, and I got eleven total. And then I angrily threw my die away and gave it the finger. And when I looked at it, it was on a 20. [00:43:48] Speaker C: It's giving you the finger back. [00:43:49] Speaker B: Yes. [00:43:49] Speaker C: So Alec rolled a one. [00:43:53] Speaker I: So he is scuffing his toe and looking at the floor. [00:43:55] Speaker C: His toes looking at floor. So you guys looking around the room, notice that this food looks kind of fresh, like something's been nibbling on it. Twin. [00:44:05] Speaker E: Something brought food in here and then was eating it. [00:44:07] Speaker C: Twin. [00:44:08] Speaker E: Yes. [00:44:08] Speaker C: You hear very soft mewing is the wrong word, but like. [00:44:17] Speaker E: Goblins? [00:44:18] Speaker C: No, but it's coming from one of the piles in this room. [00:44:22] Speaker E: In the room we're in or in this room? [00:44:23] Speaker B: In the room. [00:44:23] Speaker E: You're in this room here? [00:44:25] Speaker C: Yes. On the map, it looks like there's three trash piles. One of those piles is making that noise. [00:44:31] Speaker F: Does he know which one it is? [00:44:32] Speaker C: Yes. He could walk over to it. [00:44:34] Speaker E: I will walk over and very gently kind of lift up whatever garbage is there. [00:44:41] Speaker C: Okay. You see two small creatures about the size of a domesticated cat. Okay. They are small, and they look doglike. [00:44:50] Speaker F: So puppies. [00:44:53] Speaker E: Hey, guys, there's puppies over here. I'm going to take some of the blackberries that I just picked. [00:44:58] Speaker C: All right. [00:44:59] Speaker E: Dogs like blackberries? I don't know. I'm going to offer them to the dog creatures. [00:45:04] Speaker C: Okay, give me actually, I'll roll. What is your diplomacy bonus? [00:45:08] Speaker E: I believe it's plus two. Let me double check, though. [00:45:11] Speaker F: According to Google BlackBerry, do not harm dogs. [00:45:14] Speaker G: Cool. [00:45:15] Speaker E: It is plus two. [00:45:16] Speaker D: Well done. [00:45:17] Speaker C: How much is it? [00:45:18] Speaker E: Plus two. [00:45:18] Speaker C: All right, so you see that these puppy like creatures stop growling at you because that's what they were trying to do, and they kind of, like, plod over to you and eat the blackberries out of your hand. [00:45:31] Speaker E: All right, I'm going to see if they'll let me pet them while they're eating. While they're preoccupied. [00:45:34] Speaker C: Yes. Okay. They do. [00:45:36] Speaker E: Guys, I don't know what these do. [00:45:39] Speaker C: You have a knowledge of nature or arcana? [00:45:42] Speaker E: I have at least one of those. So as a rogue, I was very pleased that I have almost all of the skills, and as I level up over time, I think I will get all but, like, one of them being able to train it, at least. And then some of them will get much better than that. Okay, so I am trained in both arcana and nature, which I think are the two that you asked. [00:46:00] Speaker C: Yes. [00:46:01] Speaker E: Okay, so arcana is one better. So plus four. [00:46:03] Speaker C: Okay. So let's see if you can figure out what type of puppies these are. No. [00:46:09] Speaker I: If he's pulling everyone over to them. [00:46:11] Speaker C: Can I also absolutely. If anyone wants to try and identify. [00:46:14] Speaker D: These, look at them. [00:46:15] Speaker F: Do you need to be trained to identify them? [00:46:17] Speaker C: No. Recall knowledge is no longer trained. [00:46:19] Speaker D: No. [00:46:20] Speaker I: Never mind. [00:46:21] Speaker G: Nine, nature, 17. [00:46:23] Speaker C: All right. You know that these are Warg puppies. [00:46:26] Speaker F: Warg puppies. [00:46:27] Speaker G: So there were wargs. [00:46:28] Speaker D: Well, we fought some in the those were all rats. [00:46:32] Speaker C: Those were all rats in the last room. [00:46:33] Speaker F: That's why you kept saying Wargs. [00:46:35] Speaker C: I did keep saying wargs. [00:46:36] Speaker E: He just kept mistaking them. [00:46:38] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:46:39] Speaker H: So where there's a War, there's an ORC. [00:46:42] Speaker G: Can we explain what Wargs are? [00:46:44] Speaker C: Yes, we can. Wargs are doglike creatures that are more intelligent than dogs. They have some semblance of intelligence. Now, I don't know if they always. [00:46:56] Speaker E: Have, but they're not smart enough to talk, I don't think. [00:47:00] Speaker C: Correct. But they are generally tortured as puppies by orcs and other evil creatures, and thus most Wargs wind up being evil. These are puppies that are a few days old. There doesn't seem to be anything else in here. [00:47:16] Speaker H: Okay, we were looking at the other. [00:47:18] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll get to you guys in one. [00:47:20] Speaker F: So those are wargs guys. They can grow up to be pretty nasty, but only if they're caught that way. Well, they're cute now, but one day. [00:47:30] Speaker E: Jasper, it's a very specific thing you're implying. Also, I agree with Soraya and with Brianna that right now they're just kids, right. We can just be whatever we want. [00:47:43] Speaker F: That's true, I guess. So let's keep them. [00:47:47] Speaker D: So my concern is, if there are two young wars around, it would be a decent implication to think that perhaps the mother would be, too. Or did we get rid of them in the courtyard? [00:47:59] Speaker F: No, those were goblin dogs. [00:48:00] Speaker I: Those are goblin dogs. Okay. It's very likely there's mama work around somewhere. [00:48:04] Speaker E: Well, will they let me pick them up? [00:48:07] Speaker C: Yeah. Okay. [00:48:08] Speaker E: So I have a bedroll. [00:48:11] Speaker C: Okay. [00:48:11] Speaker E: And some blankets I carry around. So I'm going to basically move some stuff around in my backpack to make a little nest in there at the top and set the Wargs in it. [00:48:21] Speaker C: All right. [00:48:21] Speaker E: And then close it partway so they can still breathe and stuff. They're not, like, falling out. [00:48:26] Speaker C: I got you. So you're taking the Warg puppies with you? [00:48:29] Speaker E: Yes. As far as we know. We can't see a mom and if there is one, they'll probably fight us and kill us or we'll have to kill them. So right at the end of the day these puppies are going to be orphans one way or another. Currently an orphans are in 15 minutes when we find parents. [00:48:44] Speaker C: All right, so for the two people looking into the other room, as you look out you see that it is a hallway that veers to the left and to the right to the north and to the south. If you look to the north it's at a weird angle so you can't really see much into the larger room. To the south you see a door that probably leads into the courtyard. [00:49:04] Speaker H: I think we can just keep going in the opposite direction of the courtyard. [00:49:09] Speaker C: Sure. Are you guys done in this room? [00:49:11] Speaker F: I don't see anything else of value here. [00:49:13] Speaker G: Why is everyone cooing at your backpack? I don't understand. [00:49:17] Speaker I: Oh, look. [00:49:19] Speaker G: Why word tiny snow leopards. [00:49:24] Speaker I: Oh my God, I wish. [00:49:25] Speaker E: They're not cats, they're actually little dogs. Orgs to be more precise. [00:49:28] Speaker G: I rolled very low on my nature check it's. [00:49:31] Speaker C: Okay. [00:49:31] Speaker E: I didn't know what they were either. Wow, I can tell they're canines. That's about it. [00:49:35] Speaker F: Pondwatch, are you not listening to me when I was explaining it just 30 seconds ago? [00:49:39] Speaker G: No. [00:49:42] Speaker H: I don't know if this is going to be relevant but do any all. [00:49:45] Speaker E: Speak orkish I don't know. [00:49:48] Speaker G: No, I don't. [00:49:50] Speaker F: Common. [00:49:50] Speaker H: So it wasn't one of the recommended languages in the player's handcuff. [00:49:55] Speaker F: What are you talking about? [00:49:57] Speaker E: Okay, now again, I don't know that works are smart enough to speak a language like we do. [00:50:02] Speaker I: Yeah, I'm sure we can give them command words in training, but not that. [00:50:05] Speaker C: They'Re going to they do speak languages by the way. [00:50:08] Speaker E: Do they? Okay. They're smarter than I thought. [00:50:10] Speaker C: Then according to the bestiary they can speak three languages. [00:50:15] Speaker D: I think it's the three languages. [00:50:18] Speaker F: Right. You have to have a certain intelligence in order to be able to speak it. [00:50:21] Speaker I: But they can understand three languages. [00:50:24] Speaker D: Their intelligence is negative one. [00:50:26] Speaker C: Okay, so they can understand three languages. [00:50:28] Speaker E: Well, negative one is like an eight. Yeah, that's really high animals. Yeah, wow. [00:50:35] Speaker C: That's why I said they're more animals. [00:50:36] Speaker E: Are two or less. [00:50:37] Speaker C: Yeah, wargs are way more intelligent. [00:50:41] Speaker E: They're like a dumb human but they're way smart for I didn't realize they were that smart. I thought they were just slightly smarter than no. Okay, even better. Even more reason to not let these two puppies be raised by horrible individuals. Looking at Alec, what did he going to feed them? Yeah, I just found eight weeks of rations in the closet. I think we'll be okay. [00:51:01] Speaker C: That's what the wargs look like now. [00:51:02] Speaker D: They're so beautiful. [00:51:03] Speaker G: They're beautiful. [00:51:05] Speaker C: Yeah, they are. [00:51:07] Speaker F: Too bad we got to kill. [00:51:08] Speaker E: Is that a winter wolf or is. [00:51:09] Speaker F: That a warg man? [00:51:10] Speaker C: I think it's on the warg page. [00:51:12] Speaker E: What's below it? [00:51:14] Speaker C: Oh, that is a Winter wolf. Okay, thank you. [00:51:16] Speaker F: No, actually I just looked it up on Archive of Nephis too. [00:51:19] Speaker C: Do they look as cool as they. [00:51:21] Speaker F: It looks just the same. [00:51:23] Speaker C: Oh, so that is a Warg. [00:51:24] Speaker E: I think they also picked the wrong picture because there's definitely a winter wolf which is it's a bright white wolf with like frost coming out of its mouth. [00:51:31] Speaker F: A winter wolf is a subset of. [00:51:33] Speaker C: Oh, there you go. [00:51:34] Speaker E: But not it's again. Square rectangles. [00:51:36] Speaker C: Gotcha, gotcha. Yeah, not all Wargs are winter wolves. I mean it's better than that picture. That's a vampire mastermind. [00:51:42] Speaker E: That's true. [00:51:42] Speaker C: Not a warg at all. [00:51:43] Speaker E: A vampire. [00:51:43] Speaker F: What? Why would you said okay, how dare you? [00:51:47] Speaker D: Definitely. [00:51:47] Speaker H: Yeah, I heard the same thing. [00:51:49] Speaker F: Okay, vampire. [00:51:50] Speaker E: Nope, not that part. Anyway, moving along. [00:51:53] Speaker D: It's fine, Sean just got it. [00:51:56] Speaker I: It always takes him a second. [00:51:58] Speaker D: I just like watching the process. [00:52:01] Speaker H: What's in this other room? That me and pond. [00:52:04] Speaker E: Watcher or the door I'm looking through. [00:52:06] Speaker C: Are you guys going through? Well, you got kind of distracted by the puppies before you could look through the door. That's fine. So you guys are going into the main room? [00:52:13] Speaker E: Yes. [00:52:13] Speaker B: All right. [00:52:14] Speaker C: A judge's bench, a witness stand, a counselor's tables are the only remaining indication that this room's previous use was a formal. Courtroom benches have long ago been smashed into fragments and Stewen about the gallery covering the floor of the room in debris. Through several empty doorways to the north, a large ragged opening in the citadel's wall is visible along with what appears to be a corpse wearing silvery armor lying on a muddy lump in the center of pool of water that has filled much of the collapsed section. [00:52:46] Speaker E: Interesting. [00:52:48] Speaker H: All right, is there something on the ground that I can poke this corpse with? [00:52:55] Speaker C: Way to the north you would have to travel a bit. It's in that watery area. [00:53:00] Speaker H: Do they sell ten foot poles in second edition? [00:53:03] Speaker E: No, they're gone. [00:53:04] Speaker C: That's the most useful item, I think. [00:53:06] Speaker E: Five foot poles is all you get. [00:53:08] Speaker F: I think he tie two five foot poles together. [00:53:10] Speaker E: No, that's against the rules. [00:53:11] Speaker H: That's a guess. [00:53:12] Speaker G: Okay, that person looks dead. Let's approach. [00:53:16] Speaker H: All right, yeah, that sounds wise. [00:53:18] Speaker G: Poke it with this hattlebird. [00:53:20] Speaker F: So TEMED wants to approach and do a medicine check on this guy to see obviously it looks like a corpse. Just want to make sure it is a corpse. [00:53:27] Speaker C: So are you going around or are you going to wait for me to read? What, because Twin is about to go into another room as well? [00:53:33] Speaker F: Good question. I guess I'll wait because I want to know what's going to go on. [00:53:36] Speaker C: Twin, Talon and the rest of the group as you peek into that room. An open area with a very clear view into the courtroom to the east is littered with piles of filthy blankets, half non bones and other signs that some other sort of creature is squatting here. [00:53:54] Speaker D: Looks like we might have found their nest. [00:53:56] Speaker F: Mother, where are you? [00:53:57] Speaker C: So I'm going to cut back over to Pond watcher and silver. Yeah. [00:54:01] Speaker H: We're approaching the body. [00:54:02] Speaker C: You're slowly approaching the body. [00:54:04] Speaker G: Getting ready to poke it with the. [00:54:05] Speaker C: Haft of my halbert. All right, so I have a couple questions for you guys. So to reach the body, you would have to take a couple steps into the water to reach it. Okay. What are you wearing clothing wise? [00:54:20] Speaker G: Fur armor. [00:54:21] Speaker C: Fur armor? Like, describe your armor. Don't leave any detail out. [00:54:27] Speaker G: Well, if you look from my feet, that's going slowly up. So fur pants. [00:54:34] Speaker C: Okay. What type of boots? Like, high boots, fur boots. [00:54:39] Speaker B: Fur boots. [00:54:40] Speaker E: They're uggs. [00:54:45] Speaker C: I just want to point out that they said the same thing, and it was brilliant. And then one of them put up a high five, and the other one put up a fist for a fist bump, and then they just looked at each other, confused. [00:54:57] Speaker E: We were both waiting for the other one to change. [00:55:00] Speaker C: I know. [00:55:01] Speaker F: We're like, I'm not budging. You're not budging either. [00:55:03] Speaker C: That was the still prettiest thing ever. [00:55:05] Speaker I: It was, like, so cute. [00:55:07] Speaker F: No, it's not like we missed our high five once we did it, which, by the one, by the way, I won, because we ended up with the high five. [00:55:12] Speaker E: I compromised. [00:55:14] Speaker C: See, you just lost. That's the sign of a healthy relationship. So, anyway, back to your clothing. [00:55:20] Speaker G: In game terms, he's wearing hide armor. He has a vest. He has leather pants and some furs and boots. Yeah. [00:55:29] Speaker C: Ugg. Like boots. Ugly boots. Cannon ugly boots. Silver, what are you wearing? [00:55:34] Speaker H: He has in game turns leather armor on, but just, like, gleaming cloak. He's a bard. [00:55:41] Speaker E: He wears the gestures. Outfit. [00:55:43] Speaker C: Sounds good. [00:55:44] Speaker H: Not a Gestures outfit, but he jingles. [00:55:47] Speaker G: Every time he steps. [00:55:48] Speaker F: Yeah, he's got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle. [00:55:52] Speaker C: Get out. [00:55:53] Speaker H: And he has his guitar in hand. [00:55:55] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:55:56] Speaker G: I would say let silver, I can wait out there. You stay back a little. [00:56:01] Speaker H: All right, I'll just keep playing my music. You can focus on that. Sweet, sweet tunes. [00:56:08] Speaker C: All right, so as you step out, it's about 3ft deep. [00:56:12] Speaker G: That's much deeper than I was expecting, right? Oh, no. [00:56:16] Speaker E: You do have a dragon fang tucked in your vest, remember? [00:56:19] Speaker G: It's true. [00:56:19] Speaker E: So if there's a volcano out there, you can throw it in. [00:56:24] Speaker C: The water is brackish. It's a little bit salt, a little bit of fresh. [00:56:30] Speaker G: And the body is floating. [00:56:32] Speaker E: Yeah, it's partially submerged, you said. [00:56:35] Speaker C: Yeah, kind of like bobbing up and down in the water. [00:56:38] Speaker G: If I may, I would like to try to hook the person like a boat hook with the halberd and pull it towards me using the back. [00:56:46] Speaker C: All right, so you pull it back towards you, and everyone in the other room also sees this as four large turtle like looking creatures emerge from out of the water with this. One of them has this skeleton on its back like an angler fish luring people to it. Oh, boy. And they are large creatures. [00:57:13] Speaker F: You said four of them? [00:57:14] Speaker C: Yes. [00:57:14] Speaker G: Oh, boy. [00:57:15] Speaker I: Get out. Get out. [00:57:16] Speaker B: Get out. [00:57:16] Speaker C: We'll deal with this next week.
